LNA takes more casualties in Leithi and Sabri
[LibyaHerald] Three soldiers have been killed yesterday and today in continuing festivities in Bengahzi's Leithi and Sabri districts, a source at Jalaa Hopsital told the Libya Herald. Another 13 had been injured.

The current Libyan National Army (LNA) operation, codenamed Lion Fist, to try and smash Ansar al-Sharia
...a Salafist militia which claims it is not part of al-Qaeda, even though it works about the same and for the same ends. There are groups of the same name in Libyaand Yemen, with the Libyan versions currently most active. Tunisia's Shabaab al-Tawhid started out an Ansar al-Sharia and changed its name in early 2014. It still uses the old name now and then, probably because the stationery's not all used up and the web site hasn't expired yet...
and other Islamist forces in the Benghazi Revolutionaries' Shoura Council (BRSC) in Leithi as well as central and south Benghazi, has taken a heavy toll in soldiers lost or maimed over the past week. The latest casualties bring the number of dead for the week to at least 17 dead and 97 maimed.

Casualty numbers for the BRSC are unknown.

The battle for the districts remains relentless.

Yesterday, a convoy of new armoured vehicles belonging to Tobruk's 309 Brigade was seen heading to Gwarsha where it spearheading LNA operations. The brigade is also leading the fight in Gunfudah, Um Mabrouka and Mreisa.

Meanwhile today, there were heavy air strikes against BRSC targets in Garyounis. The area is currently something of a no-man's-land. Although BRSC forces were forced to pull out by the LNA, the latter says the area remains too exposed to move back in permanently and that, as a result, BRSC forces make regular forays into it.

LNA jets hit fuel tanker in Sirte
[LibyaHerald] The Libya National Army (LNA) this afternoon attacked and set on fire a Libyan oil tanker unloading fuel at Sirte. One member of 26 crew is said to have been maimed as was also a worker at the port.

There are conflicting accounts of what the tanker, the Anwaar Afriqya was carrying and for whom.

The head of the LNA's air force, Saqr Geroushi, was initially quoted by Rooters saying that it was unloading fighters and weapons, that it was unflagged and that it had been told to stop heading towards the town, controlled by Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(IS) supporters, but ignored the warning.

He said the ship was now on fire. Other reports appear to confirm this.

Libya Dawn
...aka Fajr Libya, the Islamist operation launched to counter that of General Khalifa Haftar (Operation Dignity). It is made up of the Libya Shield militia (Misrata and Moslem Brotherhood), Libya Revolutionaries Operations Room (Moslem Brotherhood), and Tripoli Brigade (close to Abdul Hakim Belhaj, head of Al-Watan party). Financing and moral support come from Turkey and Qatar...
, the state electricity company GECOL and oil industry officials, however, say that the tanker was carrying fuel from Greece (the figure is put variously at 25,000 and 40,000 tonnes) for the power station in Sirte.

The claim appears to tally with information from maritime tracking website marinetraffic.com which shows its last port of call as Pireaus.

The LNA now claims that the tanker was carrying fuel not for the power station, which unlike the town is still controlled by Libya Dawn, but petrol for Dawn forces.

Two weeks ago, LNA jets attacked a Turkish vessel, killing one of the crew, off Derna, also controlled by IS.

Arabia
Saudis Have 'Israel' Nuke Yemen for Them. Really. They did.
[ALMANAR.LB] Veterans Today website posted a report, prepared by Gordon Duff and Jeff Smith, on the bomb which fell on Naqm mountain in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
last week.

A video received from Yemen, believed to be taken May 20, 2015, of an kaboom, when analyzed by nuclear weapons experts is, by very high probability, a neutron bomb that could only have been an Israeli attack. The analysis:

A. Its not a conventional 2k lb bomb. It's much bigger.

B. Its either a very large MOAB bigger than 4,000 lbs. or; ???? Max weight for an F-15 / 16 is about 2,000 lb payload per bomb rack making the deployment of a MOAB impossible.

Its appears to be a small neutron bomb. The size, color, lightning effect and duration of the fire ball being suspended in mid air and the very large mushroom cloud is the main give away.
C. Its appears to be a small neutron bomb. The size, color, lightning effect and duration of the fire ball being suspended in mid air and the very large mushroom cloud is the main give away. The CCD cameras imaging device was "scintillating" (detecting Neutrons) That is the white pixel flashes in the video. When the photo has white pixel flashes in it, that is because it is being hit by neutrons from the nuclear fireball blast. It overloads the ccd's electronic circuit producing white flashes.

If the radiation is too high it will burn out the chip. They have big problems with this in Japan with the Fukushima robots cameras failing due to very high radiation counts.

D. Delivery is most likely by an IDF F-16 with a Saudi paint job on the plane. They are not even hiding their use anymore, they just don't publicly admit it and the IAEA does nothing or says nothing. That is the true war crime. The UN just ignores it unless the US, La Belle France or GB complains........ Russia and China say nothing.

E. This is now the second known use of nukes in Yemen by Saudi Arabia…………..

Post Script:

A. The range of the camera is calculated to be about 4 to 5 miles from ground zero based on shock wave timing.

B.Saudi has no F-16’s. The aircraft reported to be used to droop the bomb in Yemen were F-16’s. Photos and acoustic signature confirms that the jet engines noise is from a single engine jet fighter of the F-16 type.
In that case y'all better stop annoying Israel right now, because clearly they are no longer in the mood to play fair.
Jeff Smith is a nuclear physicist and former IAEA inspector.
No wonder the IAEA never seems to find anything.

#2  Plenty of F16 in the UAE. So F-16 is not implicating Israel. Secondarily, Why the f woudl Israel waste a nuke in Yemen, especially in a remote rural area, and a neutron warhead at that? Third - there is not enough definition in the photo do do that sort of IMIT. The "pixels" dont "give it away" - they can be something as simple as flare or reflection from particles on the lens. And an airburst HE looks just like that.

"Mushroom cloud" does not mean nuke, especially an airburst. That's just natural convection from nearly any large explosion from HE or thermobaric weaponry. The latter have an especially outsized explosive compared to their size because of how they spread a cloud then detonate it.

And thats yet another thing - Nuc flash would burn out the camera from 4mi away. That's simply not bright enough. And its the wrong color. And the cloud doesnt form right. Yellow = a lot of hydrocarboms - maybe a fuel tank, or ammo dump. Several tons of that stuff would do it.

By the way, if a fireball and mushroom cloud = nuke, then this must have been a nuclear gas station in Russia....

This article is garbage.

And finally - consider the source: the website is a 9/11 troofer site. According to them, a mini-nuke is what happened on 9/11. That siteis filled with the equivalent of syphilitic imbeciles when it comes to actually doing intellignce analysis. I hate that they are trading on the term "Veteran" and assoociating *real* veterans with this bunch of kooks. This is even scummier than Infowars and Alex Jones. And this bunch is rabidly anti-Israel, and trades on the old "jew bankers" angle, "Zionist Gangsters" taking a homeland in the US, etc.

I'd say before anyone posts anything from there again, put a 48 hour timer on it and wait for verification. As for me, I think I lost several IQ points just visiting that site - it makes The Onion look credible. TW, I hope you washed your hands thoroughly after visiting that site.

#3  Folks this article is sourced at an unquestionably anti-Israel, jew-hate site, staffed by conspiracy mongers and paranoid idiots who think Israel cooperated with the Illuminati and New World Order to put mini-nukes and detonate them causing 9/11.

Read if you like, but be very aware that mentally ill people can make sense until you start unraveling their delusions - then they get violent.

#6  TW's name got on it when we had a database clash--she was modifying this record while I was adding another. I had to untangle the two records, something that's happened only once before in our fourteen years of existence.

The al-Manar site is Lebanese Hexbollah. I should have put the Goebbels graphic on it.

Veterans Today is the same fifth-column site Iran Press.tv uses for some of their weirder propaganda feats. Gordon Duff is the editor, publisher, and chief propagandist. Last October he authored an article entitled "Has the US Nuked Syria?" that involved "micronukes."

Jeff Smith has also written (in Veterans Today, natch, nowhere else that I've noticed) about Ukraine's nuclear threat and on the Israeli involvement in 9-11.

If you pursue this Arcane, Secret, and Forbidden sort of knowledge you'll eventually come across an interview starting this:
Gordon: What does the IAEA know about the relationship between Israel and Germany?

Jeff Smith: The Israelis make the nukes for Germany and Germany gives them subs in exchange etc. Dimona was built by France and Germany in exchange for stolen US nuclear weapons technology smuggled out the back door of the US by Israel.

#8  I've used Al Manar because they do cover the war in Yemen. Their text is filled with a lot of bullsh*t to be sure, but at least we get some sense of what is going on with the fighting in Yemen.

#9  TW's name got on it when we had a database clash--she was modifying this record while I was adding another. I had to untangle the two records, something that's happened only once before in our fourteen years of existence.

Thus we see the real, secret reason why I was made a moderator: only by letting me romp through the back end of things will what needs to be done to idiot-proof the thing be revealed. This is not the first, nor is it likely to be the last, for I am the legendary end user. BWA HA HA HAA! and it's a good thing the others are cleverer.

Thanks, Fred.

Yemeni Army, Popular Committees Employ Russian Rockets to Strike Saudi Sites
[ALMANAR.LB] The Yemeni army and the popular committees started employing Yerevan Russian rockets, that can target a range of 60 kilometers, to strike the Saudi military sites in the bordering towns.

In this context, the Yemeni army and the popular committees continued controlling the various bordering sites in KSA, including al-Meizab, after the Saudi soldiers fled them.

The Saudi aggression, in turn, launched intensive Arclight airstrikes against the various Yemeni provinces, targeting residential areas as well as mosques and claiming more civilians.

Iraq
ISIS seizes Iraqi side of key Syria border crossing
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] ISIS seized the Iraqi side of a key border crossing with Syria after isolated government forces pulled out, a police officer and a provincial official said.

"Daesh [ISIS] early this morning took control of the Al-Walid post on the border between Iraq and Syria after the withdrawal of the army and the Iraqi border police," a police colonel said.

The jihadis had seized the Syrian side, known as Al-Tanaf, three days earlier, leaving Iraqi forces guarding the remote outpost in Anbar province very vulnerable.

The police colonel said the government forces at Al-Walid temporarily pulled back to the nearby Trebil border crossing with Jordan.

ISIS fighters seized another border crossing between Anbar and Syria last year. The other crossing between the two countries is further north and controlled by Kurdish forces.

The head of Anbar's border commission confirmed that government forces had pulled out of Al-Walid.

"There was no military support for the security forces and there weren't enough of them to protect the crossing," Suad Jassem said.

group has executed 16 Iraqi traders taking food from the city of Baiji to the government-controlled western city of Haditha, officials said Sunday.

"Daesh executed 16 Haditha traders last night," the mayor of the city, Abdelhakim al-Jughaifi, told AFP by phone.

"The victims were transporting mostly food goods, such as vegetables, from Baiji to Haditha," he said.

Baiji, which lies on the Tigris about 200 kilometres (125 miles) north of Baghdad, is under IS control.

Haditha, which sits on the Euphrates about 130 kilometres (80 miles) southwest, is the last major city in the province of Anbar still under government control.

"They were stopped at a checkpoint and kidnapped," the mayor said.

"They then executed them, some by shooting them, others by slitting their throats."

He said Haditha residents found the bodies on the road and were able to bring them back.

A police lieutenant colonel confirmed the 16 executions. The victims were buried on Sunday, several sources said.

Abu Maath al-Jughaifi, a tribal fighter from Haditha, said a paper was found on one of the bodies in which IS said the executions were to avenge the deaths of jihadist fighters during a recent battle near Haditha.

According to government sources, at least 23 IS forces of Evil were killed in festivities in Khasfa last week, including two Frenchies who drove suicide truck bombs.

Haditha is isolated in Anbar, where IS controls the border with Syria to the west and most of the land to the east, including the historic provincial capital Ramadi, which they seized on May 17.

According to residents, a bag of 50 kilos of flour fetches $900 in Haditha when it only costs $20 to $30 in Baghdad.

IS has allowed some trade to continue between the regions it controls and government areas but drivers generally have to pay a fee.

Eight Bomb Blasts Rock Iraq's Diyala Province
[AnNahar] Eight kabooms, mostly targeting the security forces, rocked the Iraqi towns of Baquba and Baladruz on Sunday, security officials said, forcing the authorities to seal off the area.

According to army and police sources, 14 people were maimed in the blasts, one of which was caused by a suicide boom-mobile in the center of Baquba, capital of Diyala province, north of Baghdad.

Two boom-mobiles also went off near on the northern outskirts of the city and another in the parking lot of the army's 5th division headquarters on the eastern edge of town.

Three bombs were discovered on the main street of Baquba and detonated in a controlled manner by the security forces.

Four bombs went kaboom! in front of coppers's homes in Baladruz, a town further east towards the border with Iran, the sources said.

"This is an attempt to destabilize the province," Bakr al-Tamimi, a lieutenant colonel in military intelligence based in Baquba, said.

"The total number of maimed is 14, the damage was mostly material," he said, adding that all of the blasts occurred at around the same time early in the morning.

He said the attacks were an attempt by the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. group to stretch the security forces battling them on other fronts, including in Baiji refinery and in the Hamrin mountains straddling the provinces of Salaheddin and Diyala.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks in Diyala, which the government claimed to have cleared of IS fighters in January.

A security bigshot who spoke on condition of anonymity said intelligence had been received of imminent attacks.

"The information we had before this morning is that 74 boom-mobiles were ready to target Diyala," he said.

"Measures were taken today to close the main entrances to Baquba... The road between Baghdad and Diyala is indefinitely closed. Inside the city however, movement is normal," he said.

Sporadic violence has continued to plague the ethnically and religiously mixed province of Diyala since IS lost its last fixed positions there in January.

Analysts have warned that, as government and allied forces reclaim the ground lost in IS's massive offensive last year, jihadist fighters risk reverting to insurgency tactics in reconquered areas.

Iraqi Forces liberate Husayba near Ramadi
[ALMANAR.LB] The Iraqi forces retook the town of Husayba, which lies 7km east of Ramadi, Al-Etejeah TV reported.

Iraq's volunteer groups have paticipated in liberating the western province of Anabr from the ISIL bad boy group. The Iraqi army and volunteers have launched a counteroffensive against ISIL after the group captured Anbar's historic provincial capital last week.

Operations to liberate the bad boy-held city of Ramadi have commenced.

After the Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi gave the volunteers the green light to enter the western province of Anbar, around three thousand fighters are now standing at the doorstep of Ramadi. Besides the volunteers, police, rustics, Special Forces, and army regulars have been deployed to take part in the battle against the ISIL terrorist group.

One of the volunteer factions, the Hezbollah Brigades, has also secured the nearby city of Khalidia after heavy festivities erupted with the holy warriors a day earlier.

Regime's Idlib front collapsing
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] The Army of Conquest rebel coalition in northwest Syria has continued to advance against regime troops desperately defending a collapsing salient of territory in the Idlib province.

Following a nearly month-long siege, the gunnies stormed into the Jisr al-Shughur National Hospital, where hundreds of government forces--among them high-ranking officers and provincial officials--barricaded themselves following the fall of the nearby town on April 25.

"The Al-Nusra Front and [other] Islamist factions have taken complete control of the National Hospital on the southwest outskirts of the town of Jisr al-Shughur," the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported Friday morning.

Sunday, when an bomb exploded near his car in al-Diwaniyah neighborhood of Damascus, killing him and 7 of his escorts, the Islamist group said in statement.

Ahrar al-Sham said Brigadier General, Bassam Mehanna al-Ali, and 7 of his soldiers were killed Sunday morning by an bomb targeted their cars.

Al-Ali was one of the army criminal masterminds who drew plans and tactics of regime forces during in the 4-year conflict.

Assad's barrel bombs kill 15, including 8 children, in Deir Ezzor
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] At least 15 people, including 8 children, were killed on Saturday in barrel kabooms on al-Hamidiyya neighborhood in the northeastern city of Deir Ezzor, activists said.

8 children, mostly brothers, and a women were among the casualties of the Syrian regime Arclight airstrikes on the rebel-held neighborhood, Mohammed Hassan, local activist, told Zaman al-Wasl.

For months, the regime has waged an unrelenting aerial campaign against the opposition-held areas making particular use of crude so-called barrel bombs.

Rights groups criticize the weapons as indiscriminate and say they are more likely to cause civilian casualties.

Syria's four-year-old war has killed more than 220,000 people and forced millions out of their homes.

Syria Regime Chopper Comes Down in Aleppo, Uncertainty About Palmyra 'Massacre'

They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group supporters and a monitoring group said jihadists shot down a government helicopter in northern Syria early Sunday, but state media said the aircraft had suffered technical problems.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said IS had brought down the helicopter after midnight near the Kweyris air base in the east of Aleppo province. Observatory director Rami Abdel Rahman said at least one crew member had been killed but "the fate of the rest is unknown."

Jihadist accounts on Twitter said IS had shot down the helicopter using anti-aircraft missiles. They posted the names of three crew members they said had been killed and pictures of a helicopter in flames.

But Syrian state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
said the aircraft had crashed because of technical problems.

"A helicopter crashed after takeoff from Kweyris airport in Aleppo province because of technical faults and the crew were killed," it reported.

IS fighters have surrounded the air base since March 2014 and have fought fierce festivities with its garrison.

The Syrian government has used helicopters to drop so-called barrel bombs on rebel-held areas of Aleppo province. The crude weapons -- made from oil drums, gas cylinders or water tanks, packed with explosives and scrap metal -- have killed hundreds of civilians, drawing condemnation from human rights

groups.

Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad

has denied they are being used.

Elsewhere, the Observatory said the toll in regime air raids on Saturday in the eastern city of Deir Ezzor rose to 16, including six children from one family.

IS jihadists control most of Deir Ezzor province, including more than half of the bustling provincial capital, which sits strategically on several key highways.

The Observatory also gave new details about the battle for a building in Jisr al-Shughur where regime forces were besieged by rebels until Friday.

The siege began when the town fell to rebels including al-Qaeda affiliate al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli sh-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
Front on April 25, but a group of regime forces ended up trapped inside the building.

Dozens of those trapped were able to flee on Friday as the opposition forces finally stormed the building. But the Observatory said at least 75 regime forces were killed in the fight for the building and the subsequent evacuation. It said another 73 soldiers had been taken hostage and 91 regime forces and their families had escaped and reached government lines.

Syrian media said government air strikes which provided the cover for the escape had killed 300 al-Nusra fighters.

Also Sunday, state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
reported what it called a "massacre" in the city of Palmyra, which was captured by IS on Thursday. State media said 400 people had been killed, "mostly women, children and elderly people."

But the Observatory said there was no evidence of such mass killings.

"Several dozen people accused of ties to the regime have been executed, but the number does not exceed 35 since the town was captured," director Abdel Rahman said. He said one woman and two children were among those killed but the rest were men.

Syria: IS executes hundreds in Palmyra
[Dhaka Tribune] Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
fighters have executed at least 400 people in Palmyra since capturing the ancient Syrian city four days ago, Syrian state media said yesterday.

It was not immediately possible to verify the account, but it was consistent with reports by activists that the Islamist fighters had carried out executions since capturing the city from government troops.

The snuffies seized the city of 50,000 people, site of some of the world's most extensive and best preserved ancient Roman ruins, on Wednesday, days after also capturing the city of Ramadi in neighbouring Iraq.

The two near simultaneous victories were Islamic State's biggest successes since a US-led coalition began an air war against the fighters last year, and have forced an examination of whether the strategy is working.

The Sunni Moslem snuffies have proclaimed a caliphate to rule over all Moslems from territory they hold in both Syria and Iraq. They have a history of carrying out mass killings in towns and cities they capture, and of destroying ancient monuments which they consider evidence of paganism.

"The Death Eaters have killed more than 400 people.. and mutilated their bodies, under the pretext that they cooperated with the government and did not follow orders," Syria's state news agency said, citing residents inside the city.

It added that dozens of those killed were state employees, including the head of nursing department at the hospital and all her family members.

Islamic State supporters have posted videos on the Internet they say show fighters going room to room in government buildings searching for government troops and pulling down pictures of Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad

and his father.

Activists have said on social media that hundreds of bodies, believed to be government loyalists, were in the streets.
