'At least 27 people killed' at a Texas church
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] At least 27 people have been killed inside a Texas church - including a two-year-old child - after a gunman dressed in full combat gear opened fire during the morning service before cops shot him dead.
No word if it's a nut or an Islamist. Since it's a church, I'm leaning toward nut.
The shooting happened at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, where around 50 people usually attend service, according to local reports.

Wilson County Commissioner Albert Gamez Jr told CNN that at least 27 people have been killed in the shooting, but the corpse count is expected to climb.

'My heart is broken,' Gamez said. 'We never think where it can happen, and it does happen. It doesn't matter where you're at. In a small community, real quiet and everything, and look at this, what can happen.'

At least 24 others were maimed in the horrific shooting. Witnesses said a man 'in full gear' walked inside the church and opened fire just before 11.30am.

#21  Does dishonourable discharge and court-martial remove rights to own firearms??

regardless, a Special and General courts martial conviction makes it a federal felony. Thus one convicted in such a court is a felon and not eligible to own guns. It's that felony thingy that the feds in Chicago are using to prosecute gun crimes there.

#22  SALTTexas Rangers: Armed Citizen ‘Engaged’ Killer, Ending Rampage

Today's mass shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas, was only halted after an armed Texan "engaged" the killer and put an end to the rampage, the Texas Rangers reported.

Freeman Martin, a major in the Texas Rangers and a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety, says the suspect dropped his rifle and fled after being confronted by a local man who had grabbed his rifle.

Freeman provided a timeline of the tragedy in a press briefing Sunday evening.

"At approximately 11:20 this morning a suspect was seen at a Valero gas station in Sutherland Springs, Texas," Martin said. "He was dressed in all black. That suspect crossed the street to the church, exited his vehicle and began firing at the church."

"That suspect then moved to the right side of the church and then continued to fire," he continued. "That suspect entered the church and continued to fire. As he exited the church, a local resident grabbed his rifle and engaged that suspect. The suspect dropped his rifle, which was a Ruger AR assault-type rifle and fled from the church."

"Our local citizen pursued the suspect at that time," Freeman went on. "A short time later as law enforcement responded that suspect right at the Wilson/Guadalupe County line crashed out and was found deceased in his vehicle. At this time we don’t know if it was a self-inflicted gunshot wound or if he was shot by the local resident. We know he’s deceased in the vehicle. "

The suspected killer is being reported as Devin Patrick Kelley. However, Freeman would reported, "The suspect has not been completely identified. We believe he’s a young white male, maybe in his early 20s. He was dressed in all black, tactical type gear and was wearing a ballistic vest."

[Khaama] The Afghan cops conducted and air and artillery strikes on Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...

Taliban chop off elderly woman’s limbs before murdering her in Helmand

[Khaama] The Taliban
...Arabic for students...
bully boyz have brutally murdered an elderly woman on charges of cooperating with the government and security institutions in southern Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
province of Afghanistan.

According to the local government officials, the elderly woman who was around 85-year-old, was initially kidnapped and was later murdered in a brutal way in Garamsir district.

The provincial governor’s front man Omar Zwak confirmed the incident and said the woman was murdered by the Taliban bully boyz few days ago.

He told BBC’s Afghanistan service that the forces of Evil initially chopped off the limbs of the elderly woman before murdering her on charges of cooperating and supporting the government.

The anti-government armed holy warrior groups including the Taliban bully boyz have not commented regarding the report so far.

Helmand remains one of the most volatile provinces in southern Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban regime in 2001 where terrorist related incidents are frequently reported from its various districts.

The execution of civilians by the Taliban bully boyz on charges of working or cooperating with the government is not a rare incident.

However,
a lie repeated often enough remains a lie...
this is the first time the forces of Evil of the group have killed an elderly woman on charges of supporting the government.

Tripoli Revolutionaries Brigade joins in military operation in Wershiffana
[Libya Observer] Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
Revolutionaries Brigade (TRB) has announced that it will take part in a military operation alongside western military zone and Zintan military council to help "cleanse" Jafara and Aziziya districts in Wershiffana - southwestern Tripoli - from "outlaws and gangs."

In a statement issued Saturday on Facebook, the TRB said Jafara and Wershiffana are kidnapped by a group of criminals, adding that the residents in those areas know the gathering places and camps of the criminals and outlaws, which are kilometers away from the houses of the Wershiffana High Council of Tribes' officials.

"If the brigades in Jafara have such a power that can thwart any attacks coming from outside Wershiffana, why then they did not use it to secure the district and the residents from the outlaws and gangs." The statement reads.

"We wonder why those forces did not use their power to secure banks, projects, stolen factories, residents' properties and why they did not arm - since they have so many weapons - the police and army that have about 3000 personnel each." The statement goes on.

It also explained that Wershiffana district is kidnapped by some of its residents, who are hosting criminals wrecking havoc in the area such as those "advocates of popular front for liberating Libya" and those who dream of the return of dictatorship.

"We are going to join the operation in Wershiffana to prevail security so that police and other security apparatuses return to work inside the district, open banks and protect the roads between Tripoli and western mountain as well as al-Zawiya from bandidos. Securing Tripoli needs the security of the areas around it and thus thwart any threats posed to the capital." TRB concluded.

Brotherhood businessman Malek referred to state security emergency court for attempting to topple regime
[AlAhram] Egypt's top prosecutor Nabil Sadek has referred Moslem Brüderbund businessman Hassan Malek and his son to an emergency state security court on charges from 2015 including belonging to and financing the now-banned group, the prosecutor’s office said on Wednesday.

Twenty-two other co-defendants, including Abdel-Rahman Saudi, also a well-known businessman and member of the banned group, were referred to the High State Security Emergency Criminal Court on the same charges, which also include attempting to topple the regime, assaulting police and army personnel and harming the national economy.

The defendants in the case include 13 individuals who are on the lam.

The prosecution said that Brotherhood material detailing plots to harm the national economy were found at Malek's house.

Malek has been placed in durance vile
Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'!
since he was incarcerated
Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'!
in October 2015 pending investigations into charges of collecting foreign currency from the Egyptian market and smuggling it abroad with the aim of harming the national economy.

His assets have been frozen since September 2014.

Last week, Malek completed the maximum period of two years allowed by Egyptian law for detention with trial.

Prosecutors can refer criminal cases to an emergency court in light of the current state of emergency imposed in the country.

Last month, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi issued a decree extending the six-month-old state of emergency for another three months.

Egypt first imposed the state of emergency in April after two church bombings killed at least 45 people.

Since the 1990s, Malek has been considered one of the most prominent businessmen affiliated with the Moslem Brüderbund, along with his business partner and former deputy chairman of the group Khairat El-Shater, who is currently serving jail time for various convictions.

Malek’s commercial and industrial ventures include textile manufacturing, electrical supplies and furniture.

The Moslem Brüderbund was designated a terrorist organization by the Egyptian government in November 2013.

Organized crime fingered for army post attack near Jufra
Tunis, 4 November 2017:

One soldier was killed and at least four wounded in an attack on an army post on the road between Brak Al-Shatti and Jufra last night. Some reports say two died members of 12th Brigade and the Central Region Deterrence Force died and six wounded.

Other members of the brigade counter-attacked and it is believed that there were casualties among the attackers but numbers are unknown. It is also not known who they were. It is thought, however, that they were not members of the so-called Islamic State but rather fuel and people smugglers whose activities have been curtailed by the brigade and the Deterrence Force.

Both of the latter are led by Major-General Mohamed Ben Nayel.

Last May, 141 people, 86 of them members of the 12th Brigade, died when militants attacked the airbase at Brak Al-Shatti. The Benghazi Defence Brigades, the 13th Mechanised Battalion (formerly the Third Force) and men under southern Islamist commander Ahmed Abduljalil Al-Hasnawi have been held responsible although the 13th Battalion has denied any involvement.

Niger forces unassed the ambush site leaving US Detachment in contact
[Breitbart] The US special forces detachment ambushed in the Niger last month fought alone for hours after the local Nigerien forces they were accompanying fled in the first minutes of the engagement, retired and serving special forces officers with knowledge of events have said.

The trapped soldiers also made repeated efforts to convince French warplanes sent from neighbouring Mali to engage the enemy, attempting to "talk in" the pilots who refused to attack due to poor weather, rough terrain and an inability to differentiate friend from foe, the officers said.

Four US Green Berets and five Nigerien troops died in the incident, which has been the focus of an intense debate in Washington over the executive branch’s extensive powers to use military force abroad without congressional approval and with little oversight.

#3  The French refusing to attack? Maybe they were afraid to hit possible relatives of Muslim Paris rioters. Reminds me of a couple running jokes.

Who invented white underwear? The French. So they would always have something to surrender with.

Who invented crotchless underwear? The French. Thus limiting the brown "runaway" shit stains on their default surrender monkey flag.

The only war the French ever won, well they were led by a teenage Christian girl. And then they helped burn Saint Joan at the stake.

#4  Tempting as it may be, can't blame the French if no 'air-ground operations' coordination was established well prior to STARTEX and everything turning to kak.

It is my understanding the 'bad guys' set fire to brush which obscured visibility for ground attack aircraft. Obviously not their first rodeo.

The missile did not cause any major damage.

The front man for the coalition forces in support of legitimacy in Yemen, Colonel Turki al-Maliki said that at 8:07 pm a rocket was fired from within the territory of Yemen towards the territory of the Kingdom.

Several sections of the site spotted rocket-propelled grenade hits at the exit 5 north of the city of Riyadh near the Tala Mall complex and the Ben Khaldoun Boys School.

The police and civil defense imposed a security cordon around the location of the falling fragments of the interceptor missile. Shrapnel was seen in the parking lot.

Colonel al-Maliki said that the rocket was aimed at the capital of Riyadh and was launched indiscriminately and absurdly to target the civilian and populated areas, where it was intercepted and the fragments fell in an uninhabited area east of King Khalid International Airport.

There were no injuries thankfully to anyone, he said.

5 die in Houthi attack in Taiz
Five children were killed by Houthis and pro-Saleh forces on Thursday, in an attack targeting a residential neighborhood in Yemen’s Taiz governorate.

The German Press Agency (DPA) quoted medical sources as saying that five children were killed and three injured in a shelling by pro-Saleh and Houthi militias.

The Yemeni Coalition for Monitoring Human Rights Violations denounced the heinous massacre, stressing in a statement that it is closely monitoring all violations committed by the militias, documenting them and unveiling them to public opinion in the Arab world and the West.

The coalition demanded that the international community, the UN and local and international organizations decry the crimes committed by the insurgents against Yemen’s children and halt the massacres taking place against unarmed civilians under the watchful eyes of everyone.

Such crimes are added to the huge violations committed by the insurgents amid the international community’s silence, knowing that these acts come in contravention of the international humanitarian law and international human rights law, the coalition said.

In Nihm, more than fifty people were killed and dozens injured while many fled to the capital after fierce clashes.

The Yemeni National Army’s progress coincided with intense military operations led by the coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen.

Battlefield sources saw that the military operations in Nihm bring hope to the YNA and citizens in Sana’a.

Military sources affirmed the national army’s ongoing offensive on insurgent locations stretching over 30 kilometers.

Back in Taiz, YNA continued its operation in the west of the city, while maintaining its presence in the locations it seized in the past three days.

The insurgents on the other hand were desperate to regain control of the locations they had lost in the western front.

Turkish Police Officer Killed, 9 Wounded in PKK Clash
[AnNahar] One Ottoman Turkish police officer was killed and nine others were maimed on Friday in a raid to capture a suspected Kurdish bully boy in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir, the governor's office said.

The officers launched the operation to arrest a member of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the district of Kayapinar west of Diyarbakir city centre, it said in a statement.

When they entered the building, festivities broke out during which a hand grenade exploded and 10 officers were maimed. One later died after being taken to hospital.

Local resident Zahide Kilinc said she woke up to the sounds of gunfire around 6:00 am (0300 GMT) and saw officers open fire on a flat nearby.

"Of course we were scared, the children were scared. It was like there was an attack on our home and not the opposite flat," she told AFP.

The governor's office said a member of the PKK was also killed during the festivities.

Six soldiers and two military security guards were killed on Thursday in festivities with the PKK in the province of Hakkari which borders Iraq.

The interior ministry said on Thursday its security forces killed 46 members of the "separatist terror organization" -- Turkey's official term for the PKK -- in Sirnak and Hakkari in the southeast and Tunceli in the east, state-run news agency

IS car bombing kills dozens of displaced in Deir Ezzpr
[IsraelTimes] Attack in Deir Ezzor comes a day after Russian-backed regime forces took full control of the last jihadist bastion in the country

group killed dozens of displaced people in the eastern Syrian province of Deir Ezzor on Saturday, a monitor said.

The Britannia-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the attack targeted people displaced by fighting in the oil-rich province who had gathered on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, adding that dozens more were maimed.

The attack comes as Syrian and allied forces converged Saturday on holdout IS fighters in the border town of Albu Kamal, a day after Russian-backed regime forces took full control of the bustling provincial capital, also called Deir Ezzor, which was the last Syrian city where IS still had a presence.

"The Islamic State group targeted with a boom-mobile displaced people on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, killing dozens and wounding dozens of others," Observatory head Rami Abdel Rahman said.

He said he could not immediately gave a specific toll of how many people were killed and maimed in the attack.

Abdel Rahman said the victims had fled battlegrounds in Deir Ezzor province, where the US-backed Kurdish-Arab Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) alliance is also on the offensive against IS.

The SDF is attacking IS on the eastern bank of the Euphrates which cuts across the province, while Russian-backed Syrian forces are battling the jihadists on the western bank of the river.

The parallel offensives have sent thousands of civilians fleeing for their lives, some straight into the desert.

Sonia Khush, Syria director at the Save the Children charity, said an estimated 350,000 people have fled the recent fighting in Deir Ezzor province, half of them children.

"The situation in the city, and surrounding countryside, has been especially bleak with civilians trapped between the fighting and all too often caught in the crossfire," she said

The Euphrates Valley border area was the heart of the "caliphate" IS proclaimed in 2014 and is now its last redoubt, where a US-led coalition supporting the military effort said around 1,500 jihadist fighters remained.

Despite being driven out from large parts of Deir Ezzor, IS still controls 37 percent of the province and its fighters are deployed in the eastern side.
Deutsche Welle adds:
The blast happened in an area between the Conoco and Jafra energy fields controlled by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and close to the city of Deir el-Zour, which last week was captured by Syrian regime forces from the "Islamic State

in Leb and has provided details of other Australians linked to the murderous Moslems, local officials say.

The Lebanese Internal Security Forces (ISF) said in a statement it had arrested a Lebanese-Australian man, who had lived in Sydney for several years "and embraced holy warrior ideology".

It said the man, born in 1999, had become radicalised by watching and reading online material from the terror group and arrived in Leb on 20 August.

"After his arrival in Leb he continued with members of ’Daash’ in Syria via the internet," the ISF statement said.

It said the teenager was detained two days before he was due to depart for Syria and had given up information on other Australian fighters, and supporters and financiers of the murderous Moslem group.

The ISF claimed the Australian man was linked to an Isis co-ordinator in a neighbouring country.

The teenager will face a local court at a future date, the statement said.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade confirmed it was providing consular assistance to an Australian man detained in Leb, but would not provide further comment.

8 Iranian soldiers killed fighting guerrillas in Azerbaijan
TEHRAN: Eight Iranian soldiers were killed in clashes with “terrorist groups” on the border with Turkey on Friday, the official IRNA news agency reported.

“This afternoon, during clashes between border guards and terrorist groups, the latter suffered several losses but unfortunately eight members of the security forces were martyred,” the agency quoted Alireza Radfar, a deputy governor in West Azerbaijan province, as saying.

Friday’s clashes took place in Chaldoran county bordering Turkey. On Oct. 26, the authorities also announced the death of four “terrorists” in the county.

Chaldoran in Iran’s far northwest is mainly populated by Kurds and Turkish-speaking minority Azeris.

Security forces in Iran often clash with separatists or terrorist groups along the country’s western borders with Turkey and Iraq.

Since a double attack in the capital Tehran in June claimed by Daesh, official media regularly report the dismantling of cells reported to be planning attacks on Iranian territory.

Islamic group shuts down comic convention in Tripoli
FFS!
TRIPOLI: A Libyan armed group said Saturday it had closed a comic book convention in Tripoli and detained the organizers for an “attack on morals and modesty” in the strife-ridden country.

Hundreds of young Libyans on Friday flocked to the opening of the city’s second Comic Con festival, including some dressed up as their favorite heros from American comic books and Japanese manga.

Later in the day members from the Deterrence Force — a group of mainly conservative Islamists that acts as the police for the UN-backed government — entered the venue, seized computers and arrested organizers, a participant said.

The group said those responsible for the event would be handed over “to prosecutors for an attack on morals and modesty” as they looked to prey on youths in the city.

“This sort of festival imported from abroad exploits the weakness in their religious faith and their fascination with foreign cultures,” said a statement posted on Facebook.

Comic Con began in 1970 as a convention of a few dozen fans who swapped superhero magazines in the US.

The event has grown in size and spread around the world, including to Saudi Arabia.

Libya has been wracked by conflict since the fall of dictator Muammar Qaddafi in 2011 and the country has two rival governments: a United Nations-backed one in the west and a rival administration backed by a military strongman in the east.

Hundreds of different militia groups have stepped in to impose their authority in the security vacuum.
