U.S. And Somali Strikes On Shabab Said To Kill Nearly 100 Militants
[RADIOSHABELLE] Nearly 100 members of the Shabaab, the Qaeda-linked bully boy group in Somalia, were killed in separate strikes this week, according to Somali and American officials.

More than a dozen bandidos forces of Evil were killed in a United States Arclight airstrike 20 miles north of the capital of Mogadishu, according to Samantha Reho, a spokeswoman with the United States Africa Command. The Friday strike was carried out in coordination with the Somali government, she said in an email.

It was the 23rd American Arclight airstrike in the country this year, and the second in 24 hours. On Thursday, Arclight airstrikes killed "several holy warriors" in the Bay region, about 100 miles west of Mogadishu, according to a statement from the Africa Command.

Separately, the Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency killed 81 Shabaab fighters earlier this week in Jilib, in southern Somalia, government officials said on Saturday.

The state security forces "planted mines in a holy warrior bomb-making site in Jilib district," Abdirahman Omar Osman, the Minister of Information, said by telephone.

Jilib is a Shabaab stronghold about 75 miles north of the port city of Kismayo
...a port city in the southern Lower Juba province of Somalia, at the extreme southern end of the country (assuming Somalia can be called a country). It is the commercial capital of the autonomous Jubaland region...
, where bandidos forces of Evil attacked a Somali army base in September.

Mr. Osman claimed the attack "destroyed all kabooms" and "technical vehicles" Shabaab had stored at the site. He declined to give further details of the attack, citing a pending investigation.

Jubbaland Arrests Attack Plotters In Luuq Town, Near Kenyan Border
[RADIOSHABELLE] The security forces of Somalia’s southern semi-autonomous region of Jubbaland said they have captured attack plotters in Luuq town located near Kenyan border.

Mohammed Hussein Osman, the commissioner of Luuq told Radio Shabelle that the suspects were nabbed during an operation in the border town.

The suspects were carrying explosives and light weapons at the time of their arrest, with security officials saying three other accomplices are on the lam and being chased by the Police.

U.S. Conducts Airstrike In Support Of The Federal Government Of Somalia
[RADIOSHABELLE] In coordination with the Federal Government of Somalia, U.S. forces conducted an Arclight airstrike in Somalia against al-Shabaab
... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
on Saturday, Nov. 11 at approximately 4:30 p.m. local Somalia time, killing one enemy combatant.

The operation occurred near Gaduud, about 250 miles southwest of the capital, Mogadishu.

Prior to this strike, U.S. forces observed the al-Shabaab combatant participating in attacks on a U.S. and Somali convoy. U.S. forces subsequently conducted the strike under collective self-defense authorities.

Al-Shabaab has pledged allegiance to al-Qaeda and is dedicated to providing a safe haven for terrorist attacks throughout the world. al-Shabaab has publicly committed to planning and conducting attacks against the U.S. and our partners in the region.

U.S. forces will continue to use all authorized and appropriate measures to protect Americans and to disable terrorist threats.

Egypt says its warplanes struck new terrorist convoy from Libya
[Libya Herald] Egypt says its warplanes have destroyed a ten-vehicle convoy smuggling weapons and ammunition across its border with Libya.

In recent months, there has been a number of such reported attacks by the Egyptian air force on arms smugglers accompanied by undated video footage. It is unclear when the latest strike took place on presumed murderous Moslems bringing armaments into Egypt .

"The air force dealt with them and destroyed them completely and killed all the elements inside," an army statement quoted by Rooters explained.

It is not understood how the Egyptian air force is acquiring the intelligence that has enabled it to intercept these apparent terrorist convoys. Social media footage that has been claimed to depict Egyptian army ground units near the Libyan frontier has also been posted separately by others saying that it showed Libyan National Army (LNA) border patrols.

Soddy warbirds hit Houthi targets in Sadaa
Taiz - Asharq Al-Awsat
Saudi-led coalition air forces have destroyed a large weapons warehouse belonging to the Houthi militias north of Saada.

"The coalition forces targeted Sha’eer Mountain in several raids, during which a weapons warehouse belonging to the militia was destroyed,” Yemeni news agency quoted a military source as saying.

This coincided with what was revealed by the operations of the joint forces on the destruction of a number of heavy weapons belonging to the insurgents by a Yemeni National Army tank and coalition aircraft, during the past two days, in a number of locations.

A source from the joint forces indicated that a number of mortars held by the militias were targeted as well as Houthi armed groups in several areas in Yemen.

On a daily basis, Houthi insurgents suffer heavy losses, which have increased recently due to a significant progress by the National Army forces, supported by the coalition forces.

In the context of combating terrorism in Yemen, security sources announced the death of two Yemeni soldiers and two terrorists during clashes Friday as Yemeni forces seized an al-Qaeda foothold south of the country.

Militants fled to nearby mountains after the clashes in al-Hawtah district of Shabwa province, said a Yemeni officer.

He said Apache helicopters belonging to the UAE — a key member of the Arab coalition in Yemen — then strafed the mountains where the terrorists had fled, according to AFP.

“We entered Hawtah after clashes with the terrorists and now we’re stationed in several locations... We are in total control of the area,” the officer said.

Yemeni forces have brought Shabwa province largely under government control, though al-Qaeda is known to make tactical retreats to mountain refuges, only to resurface.

Bahrain says militants hit oil pipeline, opening new front
[Ynet] An kaboom destroyed a pipeline belonging to Bahrain's state-run oil company and sent flames shooting up into the night sky, with government officials on Saturday blaming the blast on an attack by faceless myrmidons guided by Iran.

No one was injured in the kaboom late Friday night near the Shiite village of Buri and no bully boy group immediately claimed the blast.

However,
nothing needs reforming like other people's bad habits...
it potentially opens a new front in the low-level insurgency plaguing Bahrain since its 2011 Arab Spring protests.

The kaboom damaged cars and nearby buildings, forcing firefighters to evacuate those close to the flames in Buri, just outside of the capital, Manama. Authorities later extinguished the blaze on the pipeline belonging to the state-run Bahrain Petroleum Co.

Bahrain's interior minister, Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, said in a statement that the blast was "the latest example of a terrorist act performed by holy warriors in direct contact with, and under instruction from, Iran." He did not say what caused the kaboom, nor did he name any suspects.

Iran denies involvement in Bahrain pipeline attack

[IsraelTimes] Iran denies allegations it was behind a turban attack on a pipeline outside Bahrain’s capital.

Foreign Ministry front man Bahram Ghasemi is quoted by the state-run IRNA news agency Sunday as rejecting the "baseless and fake claims" and "childish finger-pointing" from Bahraini authorities.

Bahrain has been combating a low-level insurgency since the Sunni monarchy quashed a 2011 Arab Spring uprising led by majority Shiites.

Gulf tensions have intensified in recent days after Sunni-led Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
blamed Shiite Iran for a ballistic missile fired by Yemen’s Iranian catspaws that was intercepted near Riyadh. Iran has denied any involvement.

ISIS troops fleeing Anbar into Salahuddin
Anbar (IraqiNews.com) Islamic State militants have fled locations in its bastion in western Anbar, as security troops declared invasion intentions, a paramilitary official said.

“IS members evacuated all its locations in Rawa, west of Anbar, and headed toward al-Maleha and al-Sakhriyat regions, south of Salahuddin,” Qutri al-Obeidi, a senior leader with al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces) told Ikhnews website on Sunday.

“All the foreign IS members fled Rawa, while only few number of local ones remained in the town awaiting their unknown destiny,” he added.

The militants withdrawal, according to Obeidi, “came after the security troops declared intentions to invade the town over the coming few hours as well as airstrikes by army jets targeting the militants’ hideouts. The snipers also evacuated the high buildings in the town.”

Hebron brothers get life in prison for sniper spree
[IsraelTimes] Nasser and Akram Badawi, convicted of 12 counts of attempted murder, to pay NIS 60,000 ($17K) to their 4 victims

A military court on Sunday sentenced two Hebron brothers to life in prison for a series of sniper attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians in the West Bank, the army said.

From November 2015 to January 2016, Nasser and Akram Badawi committed a number of shooting attacks in Hebron and the surrounding area, injuring two civilians and two IDF soldiers.

They were tossed in the clink
Book 'im, Mahmoud!
by Israeli security forces in January 2016 and convicted of 12 counts of attempted murder, as well as other security violations. According to the Shin Bet security service, the younger brother, Nasser, is a member of Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",.

In addition to their life sentences, the Badawi brothers were ordered to pay a total of NIS 60,000 ($17,000) to their victims, the army said.

On November 6, 2015, Nasser and Akram met on the third floor of a building owned by their father near the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron. From that vantage point, Nasser, 23, and Akram, 33, fired into a group of Jewish Israelis who were praying near the holy site, injuring two of them, one seriously and the other lightly.

"After carrying out the attack, the two then went on to their cousin’s wedding celebration," the Shin Bet said last year, citing their confession.

The Badawi brothers decided to carry out their sniper attacks as a form of Dire Revenge for the killing of an elderly Hebron resident who was shot as she allegedly attempted to carry out a car ramming attack at the nearby Halhul Junction earlier that day, Nasser told Sherlocks.

On January 3, 2016, Nasser returned to the same apartment with the sniper rifle, which was later confiscated by the Shin Bet, and shot at a group of soldiers, hitting a female cadet in the pelvis and seriously injuring her, according to the security service.

Later that day, the two brothers traveled to the nearby Kvasim Junction, where Akram again fired at a group of soldiers, lightly wounding one.

Six days later, Nasser was arrested and questioned about his involvement in the attacks. To throw off suspicion, Akram carried out another shooting on January 16, though no one was injured in the attempt, the Shin Bet said.

A short while later, Akram was arrested as well.

In addition to the attacks that resulted in injuries, the brothers are also suspected of having carried out a number of shootings against groups of Israeli soldiers in Hebron and against nearby military outposts, in which no one was hurt, the Shin Bet said.

During their confessions, the brothers told their interrogators they’d learned how to silence the sniper rifle using an old oil filter by watching videos on the Internet, the Shin Bet said.

"The IDF will continue to work to provide security to Judea and Samaria and will bring terrorist operatives to justice," the military says in a statement, using the biblical term for the West Bank.

Israel arrests senior Palestinian Authority security official
[Jpost] The security official named the PA security official as Ali Qaimiri, who serves as head of the PA Police in the Jerusalem outskirts and holds the rank of colonel.

Israeli security forces incarcerated
Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'!
a senior Paleostinian Authority security official on Friday for sending his forces into east Jerusalem to carry out arrests, an Israeli security official said on Sunday.

The security official named the PA security official as Ali Qaimiri, who serves as head of the PA Police in the Jerusalem outskirts and holds the rank of colonel.

"[Qaimiri] sent his forces into east Jerusalem to carry out arrests of blue-ID card holders," the security official said, referring to Paleostinian residents who hold Israeli residency cards.

The official declined to elaborate on the circumstances surrounding Qaimiri’s case, stating that an "investigation is ongoing."

A PA security official confirmed that Israel arrested Qaimiri near Gush Etzion on Friday evening and subsequently transferred him to a jail in downtown Jerusalem.

The official added that Qaimiri was scheduled to appear before an Israeli court on Monday.

Qaimiri’s arrest came two days after the Israel Police and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) detained two residents of east Jerusalem for allegedly working on behalf of the PA security services.

A Jerusalem Police spokeswoman on Wednesday said the two residents had been "operating against residents of east Jerusalem," without providing additional details.

When asked on Sunday if the arrest of the two residents on Wednesday was connected to Qaimiri’s detention on Friday, the spokeswoman said there was no link between the two cases.

The PA security official denied that Qaimiri had sent forces into east Jerusalem.

"We do not operate there," the official said. "It is outside of our jurisdiction."

The official also objected to Israel arresting Qaimiri, asserting that it would have been more appropriate for Israel try to address its concerns through dialogue with the PA Police.

"Frankly, arresting him was not the right way for them to handle this situation," he said. "They could have contacted us to express their concerns and we could have reached a resolution in a civil way."

While Israel has previously arrested entry-level members of the PA security forces, it has not, in recent memory, detained a member of the forces at a rank similar to that of Qaimiri.

ISIS Captures border town of Abu Kamal
Deir Ezzor (Syria News) The self-proclaimed Islamic State group (Daesh) has fully recaptured the border city of Albukamal (Abu Kamal), east of Syria, after fierce battles with the Syrian regime forces that retook the city last Thursday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Sunday.

The Syrian Observatory for human Rights revealed that the clashes are escalating in Albukamal, one of the most important strongholds for jihadists in Syria, while added that the Islamic State militants managed to recapture the area, late on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Iraqi forces launched an extensive offensive on the last stronghold of the Islamic State in the western desert, on the borders with Syria, the SOHR explained.

Ramy Abdel Rahman, Director of SOHR, said that the Islamic State group imposed its full control on the city of Albukamal, after setting a number of ambushes and launching several attacks using car bombs and IEDs, while the Syrian regime forces and allied militias stationed in the vicinity of the city, nearly one or two kilometers away from the outskirts of the city.

The city of Albukamal is a Syrian City located on the borders with Iraq, while it is considered the last prominent stronghold of the Islamic State (also known as Daesh) in the Syrian territory.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian army announced, last Thursday, fully recapturing the city of Albukamal from the Islamic State grip, while the terrorist group launched a counter attack, on Friday, and recaptured about half of the city.

On Saturday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights revealed that the Islamic State jihadists have recaptured the city of Albukamal completely.

At least 50 dead in artillery fire, Russian strikes in Syria
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Dozens of civilians have died in artillery fire and Russian bombardment of two displacement camps and surrounding territory in eastern Syria, a monitor said Sunday in a new toll.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said ongoing heavy bombardment in the Deir Ezzor province had killed 50 civilians, including 20 children, since late Friday night.

The new toll was nearly double the Britannia-based monitor’s count on Saturday of 26 dead.

The bombardment has targeted territory along the Euphrates River, as well as villages and displacement camps full of people fleeing fighting in the Syrian border town of Albu Kamal.

Russian-backed Syrian regime forces and allied militia seized Albu Kamal from ISIS on Thursday but the extemists retook it late Saturday.

On Sunday, Russian air strikes on two river crossings along the Euphrates killed 11 civilians, according to Observatory chief Rami Abdel Rahman.

"Five civilians, including two children, were killed in the strikes on al-Soussa crossing about five kilometers east of Albu Kamal," Abdel Rahman told AFP.

"Six non-combatants were killed in raids on another river crossing 20 kilometers north of the town," he added.

The toll from earlier artillery fire and air strikes on two displacement camps and surrounding villages rose to 39 after 13 civilians shuffled off the mortal coil, the Observatory said on Sunday.

Albu Kamal is the last significant Syrian town ISIS controls. Losing it would cap the group’s reversion to an underground guerrilla organization with no urban base.

ISIS rose to prominence in the chaos of Syria’s conflict, which broke out in 2011 with protests against Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Light of the Alawites...
It has since evolved into a complex war that has killed more than 330,000 people, forced millions more to flee, and left much of the country in ruins.
