-Short Attention Span Theater-
Trump's website is coded with a broken server error message that blames Obama
Images of humor code at link.
[Yahoo] If you're a fan of easter eggs hidden in source code, this is a pretty good one. Apparently, as Washington Post data reporter Christopher Ingraham observed on Twitter, some Trump administration and GOP websites have a portion of code with a joke that throws shade at Obama's golf habits, the irony nowhere to be found.

We checked the source code and sure enough the line "Oops! Something went wrong. Unlike Obama, we are working to fix the problem... and not on the golf course" appears on action.donaldjtrump.com sites, like the one hosting this surely statistically sound, Obama-obsessed "Inaugural Year Approval Poll," but not on donaldjtrump.com pages.

As Ingraham pointed out, it's also present on some official GOP sites, including the GOP.com homepage. In both instances, the Obama dig is paired with a 404 error message that states "What do Hillary Clinton and this link have in common? They're both dead broke." Both the Obama and Clinton insults have a distinctly Trumpian vibe, but surely neither is an exercise in Freudian psychological projection.

To top it off, the code itself is apparently itself broken, swapping a single equal sign where there should be two. An honest mistake? Or perhaps the world was never meant to be gifted with these very good jokes at all?
Nah. They're there so liberal code Nazis can create a safe bubble for sniveling micro-aggressed liberals to bathe in by correcting Trump's code-grammar.
Thanks, Obama!

#1  Well, I think its a good sign when Trump's IT department is showing support AND a sense of humor.

Those Gawdawful liberals HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOR. Gadzooks you can't even tell a good joke or watch a Bugs Bunny cartoon these days without some liberal wienie complaining about some kind of indignity.

I bet Trump's IT guys have been thoroughly vetted and are the polar opposite of the infamous Awan clan.

#3  Yeah, that is funny stuff.

As for the actual coding error, doing "=" instead of "==" is pretty common, so much so that some compilers even emit a warning when they see it.

Arabia
Two Saudi princes released from detention in anti-corruption probe: source
[Rooters] Two sons of Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
’s late King Abdullah have been released from detention at Riyadh’s Ritz-Carlton hotel, days after nearly two dozen other detainees in the kingdom’s two-month-old anti-corruption campaign were also freed.

Saudi Arabia’s attorney general approved the release of Prince Meshaal bin Abdullah and Prince Faisal bin Abdullah after they reached financial settlements with the government, a senior Saudi official with knowledge of the matter told Rooters.

The source did not elaborate on the settlements.

The attorney general had not yet reached a decision on whether to release a third brother, Prince Turki bin Abdullah, the source said.

A related member of the royal family, Princess Nouf bint Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud, tweeted photos of the two princes and exclamations of thanks on Thursday.

Saudi security forces rounded up some 200 princes, ministers and business leaders and converted the Ritz-Carlton into a luxurious prison for them in early November in what Riyadh said was a crackdown on corruption.

The move was also widely seen by analysts as helping Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman consolidate his grip on power, after he ousted his cousin as heir to the throne in the summer.

The most powerful of King Abdullah’s sons, former National Guard chief Prince Miteb bin Abdullah, was released last month after agreeing to pay the government $1 billion.

Prince Miteb had been the last member of Abdullah’s Shammar branch of the family to retain a key position in the Saudi power structure, after Prince Meshaal and Prince Turki were relieved of their posts as governors in 2015.

Saudi newspaper Okaz reported on Tuesday that 23 individuals had been released after reaching deals with the government and that more were expected to follow in the days ahead.

Others who had not reached settlements would face trial, the report said.

Britain
Police must stop training officers to believe rape complainants automatically says ex-High Court [UK] judge
h/t Instapundit
Rape complainants must not automatically be believed by Police a former High Court judge said last night - following the collapse of three high profile cases.

He slammed the crisis and said that police forces shouldn't train their officers to presume that suspects are guilty.

Ex-High Court judge, Sir Richard Henrique's comments reflected the collapse of several rape cases where it was found that police had failed to investigate properly. Which included police withholding evidence from defence lawyers.

This was seen in the cases of Liam Allan, Samuel Armstrong and Isaac Itiary.

In two cases text messages revealed the men's innocence. In Mr Allan's case messages showed that the complainant had told friends she had enjoyed having sex with him.

Similarly messages revealed that Isaac Itiary, who had been charged with statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl, did not know her age as in the messages she had claimed she was 19.

Tory MP’s aide, Samuel Armstrong, 24 was cleared of rape as it emerged evidence was only disclosed eight days before trial said today police and CPS do it because it 'makes getting convictions easier'.

China-Japan-Koreas
Russia butt hurt over Japan Buying U.S. Military Equipment, Slams Global Anti-Missile System
[Newsweek] Russia lashed out against the U.S. on Thursday and accused Washington of violating a decades-old arms control treaty by agreeing to supply Japan with a missile defense system.

As tensions heat up in the Pacific region, specifically on the Korean peninsula, Japan finalized plans to purchase two U.S.-built missile defense systems. The news prompted a response from Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of Russia’s Foreign Ministry, who claimed the deal was part of a U.S. plan to install a "global anti-missile system."

She also said the system would damage Moscow’s relationship with Japan.

Russia has consistently lashed out when neighboring countries purchase U.S. missile defense systems, which Moscow claims have the capability of launching missiles. Former communist countries such as Poland and Romania have both purchased missile defense systems from the U.S., a fact that riled Moscow, caused tensions between Russia and the Obama administration, and prompted further complaints from Zakharova as recently as last month.

U.S. Army Threat Tactics Report: North Korea
[Public Intelligence] The purpose of this North Korean Threat Tactics Report (TTR) is to explain to the Army training community how North Korea fights including its doctrine, force structure, weapons and equipment, and the warfighting functions. A TTR also identifies where the conditions specific to the actor are present in Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE) and other training materials so that these conditions can easily be implemented across all training venues.

Economy
Trump to repeal Obama fracking rule
[The Hill] The Trump administration will take its final step to repeal the Obama administration’s 2015 rule setting standards for hydraulic fracturing on federal land.

A formal notice from the Interior Department’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) making the repeal final was posted publicly Thursday and is due to be published in the Federal Register Friday.

The repeal is part of a broad Trump administration effort to repeal environmental rules it finds unnecessary and to promote domestic production of fossil fuels and other energy sources.

"This final rule is needed to prevent the unnecessarily burdensome and unjustified administrative requirements and compliance costs of the 2015 rule from encumbering oil and gas development on federal and Indian lands," the BLM wrote in the notice.

The BLM’s notice does not take a position on whether the agency ever had legal authority to enforce the law. Republicans and the oil industry say that it did not, as did a federal judge in Wyoming who overturned the rule, only to be later overruled on appeal.

Europe
Intelligence of Norwegians and Danes on the wane, say researchers
h/t Gates of Vienna
The study was conducted by James Flynn, a leading researcher of intelligence quotient (IQ) measurement, writes Norwegian news agency NTB.

IQ in the Scandinavian countries had been on the up for decades, but the trend has now been reversed, according to a report published by journal Intelligence.

Measures taken as part of the study have shown that, in Norway, fewer people are reaching higher levels of mathematical and linguistic ability.

The trend is similarly prominent in both Denmark and Norway and even more so in Finland.

"This signals without doubt a depletion of people with high cognitive abilities," Flynn said according to NTB’s report.

The IQ of Norwegians had been increasing since 1950 until a turning point around 1995, writes the agency.
That was before they stated letting in hordes of refugees - so what's the explanation?
An annual reduction of IQ by 0.21 percent on average has been measured in Norwegians since that year, equivalent to a 6.5 percent decrease between generations.

Gaystapo activist files discrimination lawsuit against Aurora hospital and its security
[Denver Post] A former member of Denver’s LGBTQ Commission says his civil rights were violated last year when a security guard at an Aurora hospital tackled him in anger as the activist was leaving the premises.

JaxZion Justice Deak, a Denver gender activist, also is accusing The Medical Center of Aurora and its contracted security firm HSS of failing to train employees and adopt policies on how to interact with transgender patients and their visitors, according to a lawsuit filed Dec. 22 in Denver District Court.

Deak, who recorded the incident on his cellphone, named the hospital, the security firm and the security guard, Yamada Garner, as defendants. The lawsuit was filed under Deak’s legal name, Elizabeth Erin Deak. Deak identifies as gender noncomforming and prefers male pronouns.

Deak, an activist who volunteers with transgender homeless people in Denver, is seeking an unspecified amount in damages.

A phone call to a spokeswoman at HSS’s Denver headquarters was not returned. A spokesman for The Medical Center of Aurora took a message from a reporter but did not follow up with a response.

Last December, one of Deak’s clients asked him to come for a visit in the behavioral health unit at the Aurora medical center because he was in crisis, the lawsuit said. The client had given Deak his patient identification number.

#1  "behavioral health unit".

In other words the "client" was in the psych unit, and there are a lot of restrictions on visitors. This nutjob activist probably thought the rules dont apply to her (him? it?) and likely was seen as a threat.
