[AlAhram] An Alexandria Criminal Court sentenced the hijacker of an EgyptAir plane, which landed in Cyprus in March 2016, to life.
An EgyptAir Airbus A 742 was hijacked by Seifeddin Mostafa Imam while en route from Alexandria's Borg El Arab airport to Cairo International Airport.
The hijacker forced the pilot to divert the flight to Cyprus, threatening the passengers with a fake suicide belt.
Upon arrival in Cyprus, Cypriot police forces arrested Imam and freed all passengers and the crew.
Imam faced charges of hijacking an airplane and changing its course on purpose, threatening, kidnapping and holding its crew members and passengers for a terrorist reason and propagating the banned Moslem Brüderbund's beliefs that call for violence.

...There will be some heads exploding in the Kremlin on this. They know perfectly well what the F-35s are capable of, and they don't want them in Polish hands.

[AnNahar] French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday said La Belle France "cannot host everyone", intensifying his tough pose rhetoric on immigration.
Macron had last week signalled a tougher line on immigration in the second half of his mandate, arguing the government must stop voters drifting to the far-right.
"La Belle France cannot host everyone if it wants to host people well," Macron told Europe ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... 1 in an interview from the United Nations ...the Oyster Bay money pit... in New York where he is attending the annual General Assembly.
Macron noted La Belle France had seen a sharp increase in the numbers of people asking for asylum since the 2017 presidential election and said much tighter European cooperation was needed.
"There is not enough cooperation in Europe and we need to look at this migratory phenomenon and take decisions," he said.
Macron's comments come as the French parliament is set next week for a major debate on migration policy, with the lower house National Assembly discussing the issue on Monday and the Senate on Wednesday.
The French president, whose first term expires in 2022, is keenly aware that his biggest political rival remains Marine Le Pen and her far-right National Rally party which has built its popularity on a strong anti-immigration stance.
"In order to be able to welcome everyone properly, we should not be too attractive a country," said Macron.
Translation: “We will welcome everybody, as long as most of them stay home.”
He said he wanted to look at the basket of state medical aid offered to migrants colonists while emphasising that getting rid of such help entirely would be "ridiculous".
“Give ‘em all free vaccines so they don’t make us sick, but otherwise they’re on their own,” he added.
"It would be an error to say that the question of migration is a taboo or just something to raise when there are crises," he said, emphasising that La Belle France had always been a country of migration.
During the 2017 presidential campaign, Macron lavished support on the open door policy of German Chancellor Angela Merkel ...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslem colonists... in allowing in over a million refugees, saying it had "saved our collective dignity".
He said two priorities now had to be giving asylum as quickly as possible to those who have a right to La Belle France's protection and integrating them more effectively through more French courses and a more aggressive employment policy.
But he said those who had entered La Belle France illegally needed to be moved away "much more efficiently", and that current processes last too long.
Actually sending anyone home ever would be a significant change — efficiency is not even visible from their current position.
La Belle France last year received a record 122,743 asylum requests, up 22 percent compared to 2017.
[DAWN] Prime Minister Imran Khan ...aka The Great Khan, who isn't your heaviest-duty thinker, maybe not even among the top five... on Wednesday emphasised that religion has no link to terrorism and that it is "marginalisation of communities [that] leads to radicalisation". So just ignore them when they say "Kill the infidels" or "Death to America, Death to the Jews."

With the founding of Al Qaeda at Khost, Afghanistan, in August 1988 Osama and Zawahiri saw to it that an Imam would be included in all its major cells. Thus, to say that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism is absurd.
[DAWN] The special court seized with the high treason trial of former military dictator retired Gen Pervez Perv Musharraf ... former dictator of Pakistain, who was less dictatorial and corrupt than any Pak civilian government to date ... has decided to proceed in the case on a daily basis to conclude the trial pending since December 2013.
The special court comprising Justice Nazar Akbar and Justice Shahid Karim resumed proceedings in the treason trial on Tuesday.
Advocate Raza Bashir, the defence counsel appointed by the law ministry on the directive of the special court, filed an application seeking his meeting with Mr Musharraf for getting instructions from him to argue the case.
The court expressed displeasure over the filing of the application and said that the accused had already been summoned for recording his statement under Section 342 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
The court has barred Barrister Salman Safdar from representing the absconding accused and Advocate Bashir has been engaged to assist the court in concluding the much-delayed trial.
[DAWN] Leaders of the PPP and Jamaat Ulema-e-Islam ...a Pak religious party. It is usually part of the govt, never part of the solution... -Fazl (JUI-F) on Wednesday said that there are no differences between their parties on sending the Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf ...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations.... (PTI) government packing, but that the method of accomplishing that objective is still open to discussion.
The resolve came after JUI-F leader and convener of the opposition’s Rahbar Committee Akram Durrani called on PPP leaders Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari and Sherry Rehman at the latter's office in the parliament.
The meeting was a part of JUI-F's efforts to get the PPP on board for its anti-government long march which is scheduled for next month. The PPP leadership has previously announced it will not join the march but promised to provide "moral and political support" to the JUI-F.
Speaking to news hounds following their meeting, Durrani said leaders of the two parties had "good" discussions.
He said the JUI-F and PPP had reached complete consensus on one idea: "We have to send this government home. We have to send this prime minister home."
[DAWN] The federal government has decided to mark September 27 as "Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... Solidarity Day" to express solidarity with the people in India-Indian Kashmire against Indian brutalities. and to distract the rubes
According to a notification issued by the interior ministry on Wednesday, the day will be observed under the theme "Let us save the innocent children of India-occupied Jammu and Kashmir".
"Prime Minister Imran Khan ...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree... has very kindly approved September 27, Friday, as Kashmir Solidarity Day for holding public rallies across Pakistain to express their feelings with the people of India-occupied Jammu and Kashmir," read the notification.
The ministry has advised all concerned quarters to plan activities to make it a successful event.
The Kashmir Cell of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recommended several key messages, including "I am terrorised; I need food, medicine and care; I want my father back; We want to play too; I deserve a childhood too". It also proposed two trends "#HumansofKashmir" and "#ChildrenunderSeige".
PM Imran is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on the same day. He has already announced that he will highlight the Kashmir issue in his address, exposing the ethical and legal bankruptcy of India’s Aug 5 decision to annex the occupied valley.
[Jpost] The Trump administration sanctioned Chinese individuals and entities for their involvement in transferring oil to Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... in violation of US sanctions, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Wednesday.
"Today we are imposing sanctions on certain Chinese entities for knowingly transporting oil from Iran, contrary to United States sanctions," Pompeo said as he spoke in New York at the United Against Nuclear Iran conference held on the sidelines of the opening of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.

[IsraelTimes] President Reuven Rivlin taps Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to form a new coalition, for the second time in five months.
The move comes after efforts to force a unity agreement with Blue and White’s Benny Gantz fail.
Rivlin says he made the decision after consulting with party leaders.
Neither Netanyahu nor Gantz received 61 nominations from MKs, says Rivlin. He therefore decided to pick Netanyahu (55 votes) as he was better poised to form a government than Gantz, who received 54 nominations, 10 of whom ‐ the Arab politicians ‐ have ruled out joining a Gantz-led coalition.
Under the law, Rivlin has seven days after receiving the results to name someone to form a government, but has opted to move ahead without delay.
Netanyahu will now have 28 days to form a government, with a possible two-week extension.
If all attempts fail, Rivlin can then assign the task to someone else. After that, if 61 politicians nominate another candidate, that politician will also be given a chance.
Otherwise: Israel heads to its third election in a year.
[AnNahar] A British-flagged oil tanker, which had been held off the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas for more than two months, has set sail, a specialist shipping website reported on Tuesday.
Government front man Ali Rabiei had announced on Monday that "the legal process has finished" and the Swedish-owned vessel was free to leave.
"This morning's satellite imagery captured by @planetlabs reveals that the #StenaImpero is NO LONGER ANCHORED at this location (27.07° N, 56.25° E)," TankerTrackers.com said on its Twitter account.
"She has been there since the second week of August."
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps surrounded the Stena Impero with attack boats before rappelling onto the deck of the tanker in the Strait of Hormuz on July 19.
The vessel was impounded at Bandar Abbas port for allegedly failing to respond to distress calls and turning off its transponder after hitting a fishing boat.
Stena Bulk, the company that owns the tanker, said on Sunday that it expected the vessel to be released soon, but had expressed caution about the situation.
The ship's seizure was widely seen as a tit-for-tat move after authorities in the British overseas territory of Gibraltar detained an Iranian tanker earlier in July on suspicion it was shipping oil to Syria in breach of EU sanctions.
A Gibraltar court ordered the Iranian tanker's release on August 15 despite an 11th-hour US legal bid to keep it in detention.
Tehran has repeatedly denied the two cases are related.

[AnNahar] Washington has reportedly begun "tough" measures for Lebanese wishing to travel to the United States, the Saudi Asharq al-Awsat reported on Wednesday.
Quoting ministerial sources who spoke on condition of anonymity, the daily said the US Consulate in Beirut, which reports directly to the Department of Homeland Security, began to enjoy broad powers in terms of refusing renewal of US entry visas for some Lebanese and revoking entry visas for others before it expires.
The sources affirmed that the Consulate had refrained from giving entry permits or renewing them to a number of Lebanese deputies.
"Pro-Hizbullah ...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistance and purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory... Health Minister Jamil Jibaq, was not the only one who could not renew the entry permit to be part of the delegation accompanying President Michel Aoun ...president of Leb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah... to New York," they said.
"Even individuals with valid entry visas must contact the US Consulate in Beirut to ascertain they are still entitled to travel and that their visas are not cancelled," they added.
"Such measures also apply to Lebanese who have Europe ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... an citizenship (with Visa Waiver Program- VWP)," said the sources, noting that some "Lebanese with European nationalities had to return to the place where they traveled from upon arrival at US airports."
Lebanese officials brought that issue with US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs David Schenker during his recent visit to Beirut, the sources said. But Schenker said the Secretary of State is not to blame for the measures.

The Hizbollah infiltration of South America began in the late nineteen eighties when Paraguayan diplomats sold thousands of passports and official documents to Hizbollah actives in Lebanon. Many settled in the tri-border (Argentina-Paraguay-Brazil), from where they have caused trouble for decades. Washington should initiate even tougher measures for any Muslim traveling from South America and seeking to enter the USA.

Limiting mobility of Lebanese, interesting.
Just talked with TW and Dron66 on Tuesday about this.
Targeting diplomats, et.al. and their pouches.
Must have intercepted a whisper about nere-do-wells transporting bad things into the country for distribution to other visa holders of common origin.
Or maybe just vaccine against the upcoming pandemic.
