[DAWN] An Afghan official says a bomb has gone off inside a classroom in eastern Ghazni province, wounding at least 19 university students.
Arif Noori, front man for the provincial governor, says 12 of the maimed are female students of the Ghazni University, located on the outskirts of the bucolic provincial capital, the city of Ghazni. Noori added that two of the maimed are at death's door.

[Libya Observer] The Field Medicine and Support Centre has announced the death of a doctor and the injury of two paramedics in pro-Haftar foreign airstrikes south of Tripoli on Monday.
The centre confirmed on its Facebook page that Dr Samer Al-Sibai was killed and a paramedic wounded in Al-Tuwaishah town.
It added that another paramedic was wounded in Zahra town.

[BBC] The shootings took place in the Paulus area. Witnesses had reported a gunman wearing military camouflage and carrying several weapons.
The Bild newspaper said the attack took place near a synagogue but this has not been officially confirmed.
One witness said one attacker had thrown a Molotov cocktail or grenade over a cemetery wall.

Scrap "possible"
At least two people have been killed after gunmen opened fire outside a synagogue. One woman died after two attackers, believed to be wearing a military-style uniforms, opened fire with a submachine gun in the city of Halle, eastern Germany.
A grenade was also thrown into the Jewish cemetery before the attackers fled, Bild reported.
Several others were wounded and rushed to hospital.
Police have since arrested one suspect, and told people to 'stay alert' while the manhunt continues.

The perpetrators tampered with the door, but could not penetrate. They opened fire with automatic weapons on the door and window. The synagogue's security measures withstood, otherwise it would probably have been a bloodbath.

Shots were also reported in the neighboring town of Landsberg following the shooting in Halle, but police did not immediately provide further details or say whether the two shootings were related.
Officials said that police protection near synagogues was being strengthened in Halle, Leipzig and Dresden for the time being. In Leipzig, major commemorations are planned for this evening to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the rallies that eventually led to the fall of the Berlin Wall.
It remains to be seen if the miscreants are neo-Nazi types or Muslim colonists. That they were in military-style uniforms suggests native Joo haters, but no doubt it will be revealed.
Wondering, too. Munich synagogue is well guarded, and a day like today, extremely well.
And yes, it's sad that you can't visit this beauty without reserving a place in a tour 2 weeks in advance.

You know if the guards had shot the attackers, the police would have disarmed the guards, leaving them open to the next attack. That's why I suspect the outside guards didn't engage.

Doesn't Germany have strict gun laws? Sorry for the sarcasm but it seems you need more than laws to prevent this kind of attack, especially when you have porous borders through which all kinds of contraband can pass.

Two merchants were arrested at the Kerem Shalom crossing when border officials discovered 69 coins concealed in their textile truck bound for the West Bank, Channel 12 news reported Tuesday.
