Motorists honked their horns as they lined up on East End Avenue just outside Gracie Mansion on New York's Upper East Side late on Monday
Protesters were angry over Mayor Bill de Blasio's inaction in face of widespread use of illegal fireworks across the five boroughs in recent weeks
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams told residents to not call 311 or 911 about complaints over illegal fireworks in New York City
He suggested residents rely on community response to solve issue
More than 1,700 complaints were recorded in the first half of June alone - 80 times as many as it recorded last year at the same time
Adams said police should focus on stopping the flow of illegal fireworks into New York City
Similar complaints have been made across the country in cities like Philadelphia, Las Vegas and places in California's Bay Area
The surge in firework displays comes amid demonstrations and protests over the death of African-American man George Floyd
Hundreds are protesting outside Gracie Mansion in #Manhattan right now after @NYCMayor refuses to do anything about the insane fireworks the last few weeks plaguing NYC. Residents can't sleep, so they decided to not allow Deblasio to sleep tonight either. pic.twitter.com/Kom1X7PTPM
[ToloNews] Afghanistan and Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... in a joint statement agreed to finalize a comprehensive document on strategic cooperation between the two countries within the next three months, the Afghan Foreign Ministry said.
The joint statement was issued after acting Foreign Minister Mohammad Haneef Atmar completed his two-day visit to Tehran on Sunday.

Every once in a wile the Middle East has to pause for comic relief, this is one of those times. The idea, yea spectacle of the calm, rational Iranians 'cooperating' with sober and deliberative Afghans is, is...well, one would need a heart of stone.

Ironically, nothing is said of the narcotics problem for which Iran holds Afghanistan responsible. In forty years some 4,000 Iranian police have been killed and tens of thousands injured in anti-narcotics operations. In 2012 (the last year for dependable data) Iran had 1.2 million drug-dependent users, and the UN claimed Iran had one of the world's most severe addiction problems. Its figures in 2012 showed that drug addiction and HIV rates had soared in recent years, with injecting drug users accounting for almost 70% of the country's 22,000 detected HIV cases.

[ALMASDARNEWS] Former Ottoman Turkish Foreign Minister Yasar Yakesh considered that Libya might turn into a direct confrontation area between The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... and Egypt, stressing the need to stop the tension and give priority to diplomacy.
In an interview with the Ottoman Turkish newspaper, Cumhuriyet, Yakesh, who assumed the position of Ankara’s ambassador to Cairo between 1995 and 1998, and the Ottoman Turkish Foreign Minister in 2002-2003, mentioned the visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the western region in Egypt, during which he announced the possibility of sending military forces to Libya, in the presence of tribal leaders on the Egyptian and Libyan sides.
He said: "The border between Egypt and Libya is mixed, as part of the tribes in the region are on the Egyptian side and the other part is on the Libyan side. Egypt’s intervention in Libya and the movement of the army there will be easy because there are no natural barriers. The presence of the tribes on both sides of the border facilitates the mission of Egypt." .
Yakesh emphasized that the Egyptian administration, led by Sisi, considered the "Moslem Brüderbund" the greatest threat to it, and that Libya, under the leadership of the al-Wefaq government, which it considered linked to the group, constituted a threat to Egypt similar to the threat posed by the PKK to Turkey.
He pointed out that if Turkey continues to strengthen its presence in Libya and its inability to create common ground, the matter may reach a "violent clash" between the Ottoman Turkish and Egyptian sides.

NATO will somehow survive. NATO to probe France-Turkey Med naval incident According to a French defense official, the frigate Courbet was “lit up” three times by Turkish naval targeting radar when it tried to approach a Turkish civilian ship suspected of involvement in arms trafficking. The ship was being escorted by three Turkish warships. The Courbet backed off after being targeted.
The French frigate was part of NATO’s naval operation in the Mediterranean, Sea Guardian, at the time of the June 10 incident. France claims that under the alliance’s rules of engagement such conduct is considered a hostile act. Turkey has denied harassing the Courbet.

Arms trafficking? You mean delivering weapons to rebel groups? Is that one of those things that's OK when the French do it but not OK when anyone else does it?

> In a statement prior to the NATO meeting, the French foreign ministry took aim at Ankara, saying that “the main obstacle to the establishment of peace and stability in Libya today lies in the systematic violation of the U.N. arms embargo
Oh man, this is comedy gold. The main obstacle to peace and stability was the French operation to destroy Libya. How do people say things like this with a straight face?
Are they going to expel troublemaking Muslim colonists before they go full jihad?

Britain's interior minister on Monday vowed tougher action against extremism after three people, including a US citizen, were stabbed to death in a park, the third terror-related knife attack in a year https://t.co/2REmcNl55Z
Mark Rowley, a former assistant commissioner for specialist operations in London's Metropolitan Police, said Saadallah would have been one of thousands of people on MI5's watch list.
Some 3,000 people are under investigation at any one time but there are up to 40,000 people who have come up on the radar in relation to extremist ideology, he told BBC radio.
"To spot one of those who is going to go from a casual interest into a determined attacker... is the most wicked problem that the services face," he added.
This suggests that perhaps a wiser, or at least more efficient approach would be to permanently return all those needing watching to their country of origin or, if Britain born, to the land of their ancestors, where such behaviour and intentions are customery.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The terror suspect accused of stabbing three people to death in Reading is believed to be a Libyan refugee who was released from prison just two weeks ago and was previously known to MI5.
Last October, Khairi Saadallah, 25, was sentenced to 28 months for breaching a suspended jail term, racially aggravated assault, criminal damage and affray.
He was released from HMP Bullingdon, Oxfordshire, 16 days ago after less than half of his sentence.
Saadallah was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and delusional and paranoid schizophrenia, requiring medication before his release, a source told the Sun.
Anti-terror police believe he stopped using his medication in the lead-up to Saturday's horrific rampage.
He is thought to have come to the UK from Libya as a tourist in 2012
...at age 17 or 18, the year after Tory PM David Cameron and friends overthrew Libya’s Moammar Khadaffy ..
before claiming asylum as he was at risk from Islamic bandidosmurderous Moslems in his homeland because he 'liked to drink' and didn't lead a 'strict religious life'.
And yet yesterday we were presented with what was claimed to be his GNA militia ID card. Someone is not telling the truth.
However, a woman is only as old as she admits... once in the UK, he ended up in prison after committing several violent, non-terror offences.
He is even thought to have converted to Christianity and has a tattoo of a cross on his arm.
Then he reverted when he went off his meds, so perhaps it was not a true calling.
Saadallah is also believed to have come to the attention of MI5 last year, after they suspected he was planning to travel to Syria for 'extremist reasons'.
It is believed that he claimed to have fought both for and against ISIS, though officials assessing him found he didn't subscribe to any ideology or belief system and instead had mental health issues.
An investigation revealed no immediate risk or threat and he was not under surveillance at the time of his alleged rampage.
Despite his violent convictions, he is thought to have avoided deportation because of the UK policy not to deport foreign nationals to 'failed states' like Libya.
Meanwhile, ...back at the laboratory the smoke and fumes had dispersed, to reveal an ominous sight... head of counter terrorism policing, Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner, Neil Basu, today said there is 'nothing to suggest anyone else was involved' and that police are not currently seeking anyone else as part of the investigation.
Police are considering mental health to be a major factor, according to security sources.
The Philadelphia Inquirer named the American victim as Joe Ritchie-Bennett, a friend of James Furlong, a history teacher named by his school as one of the victims. Ritchie-Bennett was 39 and had moved to England from the US around 15 years ago. His father, Robert Ritchie, said his son worked for a law firm in London before taking a job about 10 years ago at a Dutch pharmaceutical company that had its British headquarters in Reading.
[KTARNews] Coronavirus pandemic or not, an investment advisory company is leaving the cultural unrest in Seattle and moving its headquarters to Phoenix’s Camelback Corridor.
" ... The unrest that has taken place in the city of Seattle ... there is really is not a downtown business community today," Smead Capital Management, President and CEO Cole Smead told KTAR News 92.3 FM.
Smead said that although taxes in Seattle are lower, candidate recruitment is harder and the cost of living within the city is more expensive than Phoenix.
"We’re hearing rumors of 40-story buildings that will be only 20-percent occupied by October," Smead said.

“I have authorized the Federal Government to arrest anyone who vandalizes or destroys any monument, statue or other such Federal property in the U.S. with up to 10 years in prison, per the Veteran’s Memorial Preservation Act, or such other laws that may be pertinent,” Trump tweeted.
Good start, but we'll see how well that ends up in court and I doubt it protects statues on private property like collages.

The sad thing is it took the President of the United States, sitting in the highest office in the land, to take action on the bullshi*, and as DT said, we're still unsure of the actual outcomes.
A pox be upon local politicians, a lingering pox with draining, itching abscesses of the eyes, mouth, and nether regions.

Statues are paid for with Federal money, or matching private funds, or State money, or wholly private funds. Some are commercially gifted to cities.
Same as CV-19. If Mayors and/or Governors are not going to protect their citizens or infrastructure with the instruments they have available to them, only then would we expect the Federal Government to act for the common good.
Even the action taken is no assurance history and it's memorabilia will be protected. Too many folks sittin' back and taken their slice.
[Twitchy] President Trump tweeted this morning that he’s "authorized the Federal Government to arrest anyone who vandalizes or destroys any monument, statue or other such Federal property"

He also tweeted that it’s retroactive and "there will be no exceptions":
.....This action is taken effective immediately, but may also be used retroactively for destruction or vandalism already caused. There will be no exceptions!

[Activist Mommy] Well, we could have told you that.
Elizabeth Johnston, the Activist Mommy, has been one of the few voices out there who has been bold enough to call the organization Black Lives Matter out for their radical, far-left Marxist views.
She affirms, as we all do here at Activist Mommy, that black lives do matter, and that racism is clearly a sin.
But the group that has co-oped this life-affirming phrase for their name has a distinct political ideology that Christians need to be made aware of.
She’s highlighted some of these concerns in the following post:
INSTAGRAM POST REMOVED..
The organization Black Lives Matter has been quite forthcoming about their ideology, as illustrated in a recently unearthed video in which co-founder Patrisse Cullors bluntly said that they are “trained Marxists.”
“I think of a lot of things: The first thing I think of is that we actually do have an ideology frame,” she said in an interview with The Real News Network in 2015.
“Myself and Alicia [Garza], in particular, are trained organizers. We are trained Marxists. We are super versed on ideological theories, and I think what we really try to do is build a movement that can be utilized by many, many black folk,” she continued.

Don't know if I heard about this or the time or if it was just sort of obvious by their actions but I always thought this was common knowledge and the question was Maoist or Stalinist. I'm thinking Khmer Rouge at this point, desperately trying to burn it all down to year zero.

Before BLM, similar groups would send reps to Israel to train with the paleos on anti police tactics. That training was then transferred to BLM. Funding came from Soros and Ford Foundation

The stewpot is moving from simmer to boil. Greece and Israel are tired of Turkish attempts to penetrate their exclusive economic zone in the eastern Med. Egypt and France are wary of Turkish moves to support Tripoli and in doing so create a foothold for their navy in Libya. Syria and Iraq are aware that Turkey does not now respect internationally agreed boundaries and under Erdogan never will. Meanwhile, the Turkish economy has gone to hell, and Erdogan tries to find scapegoats. He is going to make a mistake soon and, inter alia, it will lead to conflict and very likely the demise of a feckless NATO.

[Rudaw] La Belle France began repatriating ten "vulnerable young children" from camps in northeast Syria on Sunday, the French foreign ministry has announced.
"The decision was made in view of the situation of these particularly vulnerable young children, and within the framework of given authorisation by local authorities," the statement from the French foreign ministry read.
"These children were handed over to French judicial authorities, and are now subject to medical observation and the care of social services," the statement added.
The statement did not identify the children as the kin of Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) fighters, instead simply saying that they had been living "in camps in northeast Syria".
However, women are made to be loved, not understood... the North and East Syria Autonomous Administration (NES)-affiliated Hawar News outlet reported the handover of ten "orphaned" children "from the families of ISIS mercenaries" to French authorities, following the visit of a French delegation to the NES' foreign relations office in Qamishli on an unspecified date.
Speaking to press after the meeting, La Belle France's Ministry of Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... and Foreign Affairs representative Eric Chevallier hailed the talks as "productive and useful," having covered topics as broad as the US’s Caesar Act sanctions, the reopening of al-Yarubiyah border crossing with Iraq to humanitarian aid, as well as the trial and detention of ISIS fighters.
NES foreign relations co-chair Abdulkarim Omar told press that he had called on La Belle France to play a role in pushing forward the trial and detention of imported muscle.
With the repatriation of ISIS kin continuing to prove contentious for European countries who cite security risks, La Belle France has only been repatriating children related to fighters of the bad boy bad boy group on a case-by-case basis.
According to French news outlet Ouest-La Belle France, Gay Paree has repatriated 28 children from Syria since the territorial defeat of ISIS in the country in March 2019. Those repatriated are only a small fraction of the 300 children being held at the northeast Syrian camps of al-Hol and Roj as of March 2020, according to French human rights ...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless... organization Collectif des Familles Unies.
La Belle France held an urgent repatriation of a seven-year-old girl suffering from severe ill-health caused by a congenital heart condition in April. The Toulouse ...lies on the banks of the River Garonne, half-way between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. The Toulouse metropolitan area is the fourth-largest in La Belle France... -born child, held at al-Hol camp, was repatriated after calls by international human rights organizations for her return.

Children celebrate return to France by raping some uncovered meat?
[SYRIAHR] In a statement issued today, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... has accused "Abu Malek al-Talli" of "encouraging the disobedience and creating cracks among the ’Society'", referring to al-Talli’s attempts of abetting HTS members to leave the group and join his jihadi faction. al-Talli formed his own group just after defecting from HTS and joining "Fa’ethbato" Operation Room which comprises jihadi factions accused of "pledging allegiance to al-Qaeda".
HTS says in its statement, of which the Syrian Observatory has obtained a copy: "brother Abu Malek al-Talli has had a crucial role that cannot be denied in furthering the jihad. However, denial ain't just a river in Egypt... he has sought for a long time to defect from the group to form his own faction. We talked to him and absorbed his willing as possible, as we do not want him to split, and we managed to keep him with us for long. When he decided to defect from the group, we wrote to him warning about the dangerous of forming a new faction, and he told us that he would never do so, and that he was considering the options of returning to the group. al-Talli has been still entrusted by the group with some tasks."
"We have been surprised with al-Talli’s formation of a new faction which aims, like the previous ones, to create cracks among the group, as the consequences of forming such factions are really well-known. We adviced him but he refused to change his position. Therefore, we believe that Abu Malek al-Talli must be prevented from completing this way, forced to follow the rightness, and held accountable for his practices which have spread confusion, encouraged disobedience and created cracks among the group."
SOHR sources reported earlier this morning, that a security group of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham encircled the house of the prominent commander "Abu Malek al-Talli" in Idlib city and arrested him, at orders by the HTS general commander "Abu Mohammad al-Julani".
Jamal Zayniyah, al-Talli’s real name, had defected from Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham on April 7, 2020, then he formed a jihadi group and joined the jihadi operation room of "Fa’ethbato". The jihadi commander is also known for his rejection of the agreements between Russia and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... on the "de-escalation zone", as he announced in October 2018.
Al-Talli had kidnapped several nuns in Maaloula in Rif Dimashq, before he released them in March 2014, following a deal in which he received large sums of money. It worth noting that al-Talli’s son was assassinated on October 25, 2017. SOHR reported at that time that Abu Malek al-Talli’s son was rubbed out by unknown assailants, while he was traveling on a highway in the countryside of Idlib city.
The main al-Qaeda-linked group in Syria on Monday detained one of its own former commanders who had defected and set up his own hardline outfit earlier this year after coming out against a cease-fire, opposition activists said.
The activists said a big force from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, or HTS, raided the house of Jamal Zeina, better known as Abu Malek al-Tali, on the outskirts of the northwestern city of Idlib and detained him.
Al-Tali was behind major operations for the group that used to be known as Nusra Front, including the December 2013 kidnapping of 12 Orthodox nuns from Maaloula, a Christian village in Syria that insurgents controlled for a few months during the country’s nine-year conflict. Nusra Front exchanged the nuns four months later for women held in Syrian government prisons.
In 2014, militants under al-Tali’s command briefly stormed the Lebanese border town of Arsal and captured more than two dozen Lebanese soldiers and policemen. Nusra Front exchanged the troops it was holding with prisoners held in Lebanon.
Al-Tali, a Syrian citizen, is known to be a hardliner who is opposed to a truce reached in March between Russia and Turkey that stopped a Syrian government offensive on Idlib province, the last remaining rebel stronghold in the country. The three-month offensive under the cover of Russian airstrikes killed hundreds and sent a million people fleeing toward the Turkish border.
Al-Tali defected in April and set up his own group that became close to al-Qaeda-linked Horas al-Din group, Arabic for “Guardians of Religion.” Horas al-Din are hardcore al-Qaeda elements who broke away from HTS.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said al-Tali defected from HTS in April, adding that he had personally acquired large sums of money from the deal to release the nuns.
The Shaam Newtork, an activist collective, said al-Tali and other former HTS commanders have been opposed to recent policies adopted by the group’s top commander, Abu Mohammed al-Golani, who has been taking cautious steps since Turkey sent thousands of soldiers into Idlib earlier this year.
Al-Tali’s son, Orwa, was shot dead in 2017 in an apparent internal feud between militants in northwest Syria.
