With Meghan it's all about the money, and only about the money.
Right about now the Queen is wondering what the cash price for a divorce would be.

I'm sure if the Brits will look hard enough, they can find somebody with Tudor ancestry.
Given that Harry’s elder brother has three children already and his wife hopes for at least one more, Prince Harry and little Archie went from spares to completely out of the running for the throne unless Windsor Castle falls in while the royals are at dinner. So it’s actually for the best that he has taken his little family to the other side of the world, where he can carve out a life and career of his own instead of just mooching off others like his Uncle David, who so disliked the work of being King Edward VIII.

It's sad, really. I used to like Harry. He was in combat as an infantry officer in Afghanistan until some newspaper blew his cover. He then became an attack helicopter pilot.
Then he met Meghan, and is now totally whipped.

[AmericanRifleman] Geissele Automatics had donated a quarter million face masks for use by industry professionals attending the 2021 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show scheduled Jan. 19 to 21 in Las Vegas, NV.
Gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic require added safety precautions, but to put the annual showcase of new firearms and gear into perspective, it attracts more than 50,000 attendees every year from dozens of nations. The 250,000 face masks will be distributed during the show, which is expected to cover 714,000 square feet of the Sands Expo Center.
[DAILYTIMES.PK] This labour weekend, Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, is yet to face record-breaking temperatures and dangerous fire weather conditions, with the National Weather Service advising people to keep their water intake up and not venture out unnecessarily.
"Saturday and Sunday will be about 20 to 30 degrees above normal across the entire area," Frank Fisher, an NWS meteorologist for the southern part of the state, told AFP.
"By Monday, we should be 10 to 20 degrees above normal ... but still very warm and dangerous outside," he added.
Fisher said temperatures are expected to peak to 108 degrees Fahrenheit (42.2 Celsius) in the Los Angeles area on Sunday and to 118 Fahrenheit (47.8 Celsius) further inland in Woodland Hills.
Excessive heat warnings through the holiday weekend and possibly beyond have also been issued in other western states including Arizona and Nevada.
The warm temperatures in California come as the state is recovering from another heatwave in mid-August and devastating wildfires that have burned some 1.5 million acres in the last three weeks.

Hackers and spies from China, Russia and Iran have targeted American biotech companies and research universities to steal vaccine research, officials say
Chinese intelligence hackers tried to steal information from the University of North Carolina and other schools, according to two officials

So far no corporation or university has announced any data thefts from publicly identified hacking efforts, but some hackers have penetrated network defenses
[DAILYTIMES.PK] The Afghan government has accepted a proposal to put mothers’ names on their children’s birth certificates, in a rare win for women’s rights activists in the deeply conservative country.Campaigners have for years pushed for women to be named on official documents including children’s birth certificates, which like Afghan identity documents carry only the name of a person’s father, under the hashtag #Whereismyname.
But they have faced opposition in the conservative and patriarchal Moslem country, where some see even using a woman’s name as offensive.
A woman’s name often does not appear on the invitation to her wedding — only those of her father and husband-to-be — or even on her grave.
This week the cabinet’s legal affairs committee, headed by Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danish, agreed to a proposal to change the law and allow the names of both parents.

After 18-19 years of US presence there, it appears it was all worth it now.
[THEBAGHDADPOST] More than 100,000 people are thought to have taken part in a protest in Minsk against the president of Belarus - amid reports that masked "snatch squads" have been detaining some student demonstrators.Protesters were bundled into vans for taking part in fresh unsanctioned rallies against leader Alexander Lukashenko on the fourth weekend since his disputed re-election in August.
Around 30 students were dragged off the streets by snatch squads on Saturday, Russian news agency TASS reported, citing Minsk police, with further protesters believed to have been detained by the masked agents on Sunday.
The interior ministry of Belarus said 91 people in total were detained on Saturday. At least 100 protesters have been detained across the country on Sunday, Russia's Interfax news agency reports, citing the ministry.
Protests have taken place over several days.
Draped in red-and-white opposition flags, students staged demonstrations in several locations across the capital, including outside the Minsk State Linguistic Institute, where police arrested five people on Friday, local media footage showed.
It was on Saturday that masked men dragged away protesting students who had gathered at a restaurant in Karl Marx Street in the centre of Minsk - prompting thousands of women to later hold a separate march through the city in the afternoon, shouting "hands off the children" as one of their slogans.

[EN.ALGHADEER.TV] Thousands gathered in Montenegro’s capital Podgorica on Sunday evening waving national flags to protest against the use of Serbian national symbols by opposition parties that won elections last week.Participants chanted: "This is not Serbia" and "We do not give away Montenegro."
The pro-Western Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) led by President Milo Djukanovic, which steered Montenegro through the violent mostly peaceful collapse of the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s, lost the parliamentary election last week.
It will not be able to form a government for the first time since 1990 when a multi-party system was introduced.
Opposition parties, including the pro-Serb Democratic Front, organized rallies celebrating their victory by waving Serbian flags and raising three fingers in a gesture known as the Serbian salute.
Montenegro remains deeply divided over its ties with Serbia — with some advocating closer ties with Belgrade and others opposing any pro-Serb alliance.
On Sunday people started gathering in Podgorica in the afternoon waving national flags.
"We came alone from Cetinje to give our support to Montenegro, as always. We do not give away (our) state!" said protester Milo Martinovic, who wore the traditional red hat of Montenegro.
The final preliminary count gave the DPS 35.06% of the vote on Sunday. The final official result is expected in the coming days.
An alliance of Serb nationalist parties named For the Future of Montenegro, which seeks closer ties with Serbia and Russia and is backed by the Serbian Orthodox Church, won 32.55% of the vote.
Another two alliances — a center-right group called Peace is Our Nation and an alliance led by the URA green party — which won 12.53% and 5.53% of votes, respectively, said they would join pro-Serb parties to form the government.
Opposition leaders, along with democracy and human rights ...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you... organizations, have accused Djukanovic and his party of running Montenegro as their own corrupt fiefdom with links to organized crime. The DPS and Djukanovic deny those charges.

[YNet] - Coronavirus resurgence in Israel continues at an alarming pace as infection rate increased further and now stands at a startling 12 percent, health officials said Monday.

No. Most of the Haredi are infected - these who not busy consuming limited medical resource are busy spreading it to the rest of the population.
And there is nothing to be done - now.
In proportional representation, a small group - not interested in anything except benefits to itself - can hold a balance of power. For the past generation, the ultra-religious parties held that position. Used it to build a state within the state - where they ignore the rest of us except always demanding more money (for their madrasas) & more services from the "apostate" majority.
Hopefully, the current crisis will the straw that breaks the camel's back.

more of the NYC Orthodox are coming up positive because they have had the disease already.
but few people are now dying of it in nyc with statewide deaths averaging under 10/day since aug 1 and deaths in, for example King's County, aka brooklyn, under 1 per day in that time
