GOVERNMENT BLAMES THE TALIBAN FOR THE ATTACK

A Russian cargo plane carrying Syrian fighters landed in Libya's Sirte province, controlled by warlord Khalifa Haftar, the Libyan army said on Saturday.

La Belle France's anti-terrorism prosecutor's office said Saturday that eight people have been charged for their alleged involvement in a complex scheme financing Islamic hard boyz in Syria through the use of cryptocurrencies.
Two suspects have been handed preliminary charges of financing terrorism and terrorist conspiracy in a judicial investigation opened Saturday. The same preliminary charges have been given to another suspect in a related case.
Five other people who have been charged with financing terrorism will be sent to trial by the end of the year, the statement said.
The prosecutor's office said French police arrested a total of 30 people around the country in the case. Most were released without charges.

[BREITBART] Five members of one family, including four children, have been killed and five others injured after a relative committed a hammer and knife attack in a Gay Pareeian suburb. French media reports the incident occurred following a family dispute.
The attack happened on Saturday morning in the commune of Noisy-le-Sec in the Seine-Saint-Denis suburb, according to French television broadcaster BFM.
One of the survivors, a youth, reportedly walked into a bar covered in blood and asking for help. He told the bar manager his uncle had "gone mad" and attacked the rest of his family "with a knife and a hammer".
When police arrived at the house at around 11 am, they were forced to bust through the door with a battering ram, where they found two dead victims and multiple others injured, all believed to be of the same family. Three others died an hour and a half later despite the efforts of emergency services. The fatalities were reportedly one woman and four children.
Police also found five survivors who were maimed, some unconscious. All survivors were taken to hospital, with three adults believed to be at death's door. The other two surviving victims were adolescents who were not as seriously injured, according to franceinfo.
They also found the alleged perpetrator, the uncle, unconscious with the suspected murder weapons beside him. He was taken to a hospital in Clichy where he is receiving treatment.
"The scene was horrible," one officer told BFM. "Several of us are in shock."
Multiple media reports that the family, including the suspected attacker, the uncle, were identified as being of Sri Lankan or Pak origin. Police told the broadcaster that the initial investigation points to the attack being the result of a family dispute.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York charged 27-year-old Ryan Howe, of Rochester, last week with using a facility of interstate and foreign commerce to incite, promote and encourage a riot. Howe—who uses the pronouns "they/them" and "she/her"—is also known as "Rylea Autumn."
Howe was among nine arrested on Sept. 2 by Rochester Police at a violent mostly peaceful Black Lives Matter-antifa protest at the Public Safety Building. Several dozen had gathered to protest the death of Daniel Prude, a black man who died in police custody. The criminal complaint filed by a Federal Bureau of Investigation special agent says Howe shook the metal barricade protecting the cop shoppe, and screamed to agitate the crowd to violence. Howe then allegedly wrapped themselves around a street sign to resist arrest and kicked to avoid being handcuffed.
According to the criminal complaint, Howe made a number of bully boyz posts throughout September that caught the attention of law enforcement. They allegedly urged violence against the state and law enforcement using arson attacks. On Sept. 8, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office alerted federal Sherlocks to Howe’s Facebook, which shows they espoused extreme antifa beliefs. Howe’s Facebook profile photo depicts them dressed in black bloc, with the accompanying text, "Antifascist ...anybody you disagree with, damn them... Action." Antifascist Action is the original English-language antifa organization formed in the 1980s.
Howe’s Facebook bio line reads: "Genderqueer, Anti-Fascist, Anti-Racist, Anarcho-communist." Additionally, their Twitter account is filled with posts identifying with antifa and expressing support for communism. Howe’s other social media posts show they are heavily involved in far-left activism and organizing in the Rochester-area. They were previously arrested in July at another protest.
The complaint says that on Sept. 23, Howe wrote on Facebook, "Burn this sh— to the f—ng ground" in response to news that the Kentucky officer involved in Breonna Taylor’s death was charged with three counts of felony wanton endangerment, rather than murder.
A day later, Howe allegedly shared a recipe on how to make a Molotov cocktail and then instructed readers to throw it at police. They later posted on the same day: "Good morning to everyone ready to burn this whole f—ing country to the ground!" Howe’s third post was a graphic of a smiley face holding a flaming Molotov cocktail.

The affidavit says Howe admitted to making the posts when he was interviewed by an FBI agent. They said they obtained the Molotov cocktail recipe from an anarchist book.
Howe made an initial appearance in federal court last week and was released on pre-trial with conditions. Howe is required to undergo a mental health examination, is required to seek employment, do drug testing and adhere to a curfew. Howe’s next court date is on Nov. 17.
The FBI conducted the investigation alongside the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and the Rochester Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Brett A. Harvey. If convicted, Howe faces a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The case is one of the few known federal prosecutions since riots began in May that allege a suspect’s explicit ties to Antifa.

[WWEEK] Edward Thomas Schinzing pleaded guilty Sept. 30 to a federal arson charge for setting fire to an office cubicle in the Multnomah County Justice Center on May 29.
As WW previously reported, the evidence against Schinzing was plentiful but the charges were unusual: Federal prosecutors argued in their July 28 indictment that they have jurisdiction over local property because the city of Portland received millions of dollars in federal assistance, namely COVID relief funding via the CARES Act.
"Based on that rationale, federal authority would exist anywhere in Portland," Jason Kafoury, a Portland civil rights lawyer, told WW in August regarding the Schinzing case. "It's also a scary precedent, because it's opening the door for federal authorities to arrest Portlanders anywhere, anytime."
The building prosecutors said Schinzing set fire to is owned jointly by the city and county. His guilty plea is significant because it's among the first cases successfully prosecuted by federal officials against Portland rioters who damaged local property through fires and vandalism.
Oregon Public Broadcasting reported Oct. 1 that the U.S. Attorney's Office for Oregon, headed by Billy Williams, has levied federal charges against 90 Portland protesters. Williams told OPB that FBI agents have "combed through hundreds of arrests by local police" in search of possible federal charges to levy against Portland protesters.
The federal charges also indicate an attempt to rebuff newly elected Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt, who vowed to drop most nonviolent mostly peaceful charges against Portland protesters.
Schinzing faces a mandatory minimum five-year prison sentence for the arson, according to federal sentencing guidelines. He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years.

[IsraelTimes] Terror group and its rival Fatah both claim arrest of Hassan Youssef for ’renewed activity’ is aimed at interfering with Paleostinian reconciliation talks.
Hassan Youssef, the leader of Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, in the West Bank and one of the terror group’s founding members, was arrested Friday morning at his house in Ramallah by Israeli security forces.
In response to a query by The Times of Israel, a security source confirmed the arrest and alleged that Youssef had been involved in "renewed Hamas activity." No public charges have yet been filed.

Since helping found the Hamas terror movement in the 1980s, Youssef has been arrested numerous times and spent years in Israeli prisons. While still behind bars in 2006, he was elected to the Paleostinian parliament.

The rival Fatah and Hamas movements have been at odds since 2007, when a bloody struggle for control of Gaza led to Hamas expelling the Fatah-dominated Paleostinian Authority from the coastal enclave. Several rounds of unity talks over the past 13 years to reconcile Fatah and Hama have failed to bridge the gaps between them.
After reconciliation talks in Istanbul in late September, the two rival movements agreed to set a date for Paleostinian legislative elections within the next six months. [NPASYRIA] An Iraqi refugee died in Hawl Camp, Syria on Saturday when unknown assailants riding a cycle of violence shot him in one of the camp’s markets.
A security source from Hawl camp said that the victim was 25-year-old Musaab, who died instantly after being shot in the head 3 times.
He added that the perpetrators fled, and investigations are still underway to find out the details of the incident.
Hawl camp includes about 65,000 Iraqi and Syrian refugees, and wives and children of ISIS members.
In a related context, security forces in the camp arrested four Iraqi women, accompanied by three children, while they were trying to flee from the camp.
The camp witnesses frequent killings, as well as many attempts to flee the camp.
Another security source told North Press that a tanker driver working with UNICEF tried to smuggle four Iraqi women from Hawl camp by hiding them in the tank, but the camp’s security forces thwarted the attempt.

[NPASYRIA] 17 members of the Syrian government forces were killed and 35 others were maimed in an attack by ISIS cells on a position of government forces south of Deir ez-Zor at dawn on Saturday.
Local sources reported to North Press that ISIS cells attacked government forces at the Taim oil field south of Deir ez-Zor with medium weapons, RPGs, and mortars.
The source added that ISIS relied on jacket wallahs, and then violent mostly peacefulfestivities took place in the region.
The sources indicated that the government forces present at Deir ez-Zor Airport tried to support the heavy artillery, but they did not succeed in stopping the ISIS attack.
Russian warplanes were forced to quickly intervene with missiles.
Russian military police arrested a leader of the Qura Guard group of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on Friday evening in the town of Buqrus Tahtani in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
According to the same sources, the arrest came after a leader, called Abdel Moneim Haramesh, hit a member of the Third Brigade of the Russian-backed Fifth Corps.
Haramesh is the director of a recruitment center whose mission is to recruit people for the benefit of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
