Activists React to 'Looting' of Uruzgan Education Center
[ToloNews] Social media users and activists harshly reacted to footage that shows a teacher’s training center is looted by some individuals in the southern province of Uruzgan following an attack on the area by the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
The center is located in the Dehraood district. Local officials said the Taliban "destroyed" many government buildings and "looted" their facilities after they attacked the district.

"The Taliban has destroyed a teacher’s training center in Dehraood district and has looted all its belongings, said Ahmad Shah Sahil, front man for Uruzgan governor.

"All the belongings in the Education Directorate such as desks and chairs are missing or have been broken," said Abdul Malik, a civil society activist in Uruzgan.

Social media users widely shared the footage that shows some people are taking the facilities in the teacher’s training center. The social media users criticized the move and called on the people to protect such centers.

"This is a shame. The people know that our children were studying there, but they are looting schools," said Asil Khan, a Kabul resident.

"This neither damages the Taliban or the government. Its destruction damages the people," said Sajidullah, a resident of Uruzgan.

A Taliban front man confirmed the destruction of the teacher’s training center in Uruzgan but rejected their involvement in looting the belongings of the center.

In one of these incidents, unknown armed killed Abdul Jamil Hafifi, member of the Supreme Court, in Kabul’s PD8. His brother was maimed in this incident, his family said.

His family said that security agencies have "failed" to prevent such incidents in the city.

"They attacked my brother and martyred him. When I raised my voice, they opened fire on me and my foot was injured," said Abdul Qayum, brother of Abdul Jamil Afifi.

"The security agencies and the intelligence agencies are totally ’failed’," said Sayed Abdul Hadi, a relative of Afifi.

In another incident, three people were killed in a clash in Kabul’s PD6. Meanwhile,

Kabul residents called on the government and security agencies to prevent murders and security incidents.

"A clash started here. Then we heard a shootout. We saw three people lying on the ground when we arrived at the scene. Bullets hit their feet," said Abdul Hameed, a Kabul resident.

"Hashish, drugs and K tablets are sold in markets. Why the government remains silent? Why the government is not ensuring people’s safety?" asked Fahim, a resident of Kabul.

This comes as First Vice President Amrullah Saleh in his daily meetings with security officials vowed to prevent crime incidents in the city and ensure the safety of the people.

Juhayna chairman detained for allegedly joining a terrorist group
[AlAhram] Sabet's funds were seized in 2015 on allegations that he had ties to the banned Moslem Brüderbund group

An Egyptian prosecutor has ordered the 15-day detention of Safwan Sabet, the chairman of the country’s biggest dairy and juice producer Juhayna Food Industries, for joining a terrorist group.

Sabet was detained on Wednesday pending investigations, the company announced in a statement to the stock exchange last week, without providing details about the inquiry.

A judicial committee formed by the justice ministry had seized Sabet’s funds in 2015 on allegations that he had ties to the banned Moslem Brüderbund group. It is not yet clear if the new charges are related.

Juhayna said last week that Sabet’s arrest will not impact the company or its daily operations, and that it will continue to carry out its activities and supply its products to consumers.

Juhanya added that its deputy chairman, Seif El-Din Sabet, has been appointed acting chairman.

Established in 1983, Juhayna Food Industries is a leading Egypt-based manufacturer specialised in the production, processing, and packaging of dairy, juice, and cooking products.

[RT] At least two riot coppers have been injured as demonstrations against the French government’s security bill in the city of Nantes descended into violence.

Some 3,000 people in Nantes joined Saturday’s nationwide protest action against the draft security policy bill introduced by President Emmanuel Macron’s government. The rally mostly went off peacefully, but things started rapidly heating up as evening drew in.

As the rally spilled over into festivities between the demonstrators and police, protesters pelted officers with various projectiles while law enforcement responded with tear gas. The standoff ended up with two riot coppers being injured.

Clashes at funeral of Palestinian youth said shot dead by Israeli forces
[IsraelTimes] Family says 13-year-old killed Friday by gunfire at West Bank protest; UN envoy says Israel must investigate ’unacceptable incident’; IDF says it ’will be looked into’.

Clashes between Israeli security forces and Paleostinians erupted on Saturday at the funeral of a 13-year-old said killed by Israeli gunfire in the West Bank.

Hundreds of Paleostinians had gathered to mourn the death of Ali Abu Aliya
...yesterday he was identified by the expanded version: Ali Nasr Abu Aliya...
in the village of al-Mughayyir, where the Paleostinian youth was hit in the stomach and died later at a hospital Friday.

Dozens of people threw stones toward Israeli forces and set tires aflame during the gathering. Soldiers responded with intermittent barrages of tear gas.

Late Friday, the top UN political envoy in the region said he was "appalled" by the killing of the teen. Israel should "swiftly" and independently "investigate this shocking and unacceptable incident," Nikolay Mladenov wrote on Twitter.

Commenting on the death, the Israeli military said "dozens of rioters" hurled rocks at Israeli soldiers and border police, who responded with "riot dispersal means," including rubber-tipped bullets. It denied that its forces used live ammunition. The boy’s family says doctors said he was hit by live fire.

The protest was against the establishment of a new settlement outpost north of Ramallah.

Local residents have been holding weekly protests against the outpost for three weeks close to the neighboring village of Kafr Malik, resident Mohammad Abu Aliya, a relative of the boy, told The Times of Israel.

Clashes between Paleostinian youths and Israeli forces entering Paleostinian-controlled areas of the West Bank are common. The military often raids Paleostinian towns to arrest people suspected of planning or taking part in attacks.

In October Hezbollah reportedly launched drone near IDF base without being spotted
[Jpost] The Leb

Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. -based terrorist organization Hezbollah revealed on Friday that it had sent an unmanned aerial drone (UAV) into Israeli territory in October and even went so far as to near a major IDF base, all the while not being picked up by Israeli radar, according to Hezbollah-affiliated TV channel al-Manar.

The recording shown by the UAV was broadcast on al-Manar, and included footage of an IDF base in the North, Biranit, which is located close to the border and is the reportedly the command center for all IDF troops on the Lebanese border.

However,
the hip bone's connected to the leg bone...
according to Hezbollah, the drone was also able to take pictures of a facility in Sheba'a Farms in the Golan Heights, though it is unclear if this is accurate.

The drone was launched in late October during the IDF's "Lethal Arrow" exercises in the North, which saw the army simulate a war with Hezbollah.

Mob in southern Lebanon seizes equipment from UN peacekeepers
[IsraelTimes] UNIFIL says convoy able to leave village in Hezbollah stronghold after intervention by Lebanese army, but doesn’t get gear back.

A mob seized equipment from a UNIFIL convoy in south Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
after blocking its route, the UN peacekeeping force said Saturday of its latest run-in with the local population.

The incident, which required the intervention of the Lebanese army, took place on Friday as the UNIFIL convoy passed through the village of Kaouthariyet al-Saiyad on the way back to base, according to the statement.

"A large group of civilians... dispossessed the UNIFIL patrol of items and equipment," the statement said, without specifying what was taken.

The convoy was able to leave the village after the army intervened, "although the equipment was not returned to the peacekeepers," the statement added.

The seizure of UNIFIL equipment by civilians is rare, but sporadic incidents take place between the force and members of the local population, who sometimes block patrol routes.

The area is a bastion of the Shiite terror group Hezbollah, which is a heavyweight in Lebanese politics and sworn enemy of neighboring Israel.

Lebanon and Israel are still technically at war, and the United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
force patrols the border between the two.

Set up in 1978, UNIFIL was beefed up after a month-long devastating war in 2006 between Israel and Hezbollah.

The 10,500-strong force, in coordination with the Lebanese army, is tasked with monitoring a ceasefire and Israeli pullout from a demilitarized zone on the border.

In August, the Security Council extended UNIFIL’s mandate by one year.
