#1  OK! they are breaking the law.
What's new ??????
The LSD's have owned the Courts and controlled selective law enforcement for almost 30 years now.

Like I have said before, anything leaked or released will be highly suspect as authentic.

Clearly, the Uppity Ups don't want it released. I am guessing it was a call to TRANS-ARMS. Which the Pro-Tranny LSD's fear will show the mental instability of such persons, hurt their social change agenda and their 2024 future election cycle.

Classic DC tactic, just ask the local SAC of the FBI Field Office. The Chief is taking the heat to keep the Bureau happy and protect the DOJ Bureau of Justice Assistance grant funding flowing richly to the city of Nashville.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Tucker Carlson Enjoying "Retirement"
[Daily Mail] It's been barely two days since his brutal ouster from Fox News - but Tucker Carlson looks like a man without a care in the world.

The TV firebrand shrugged off the media storm and insisted he was more interested in enjoying a romantic date with his wife Susan as he broke his silence in an exclusive chat with DailyMail.com.

'Retirement is going great so far,' chuckled Carlson, 53, as he emerged from his $5.5 million beach home in Boca Grande, Florida on Tuesday night.

Barbie's latest doll represents people with Down's syndrome
Coming soon: Barbie Lite!
[GEO.TV] Mattel Tuesday welcomed its first-ever Barbie doll representing a person with Down's syndrome aimed at pushing for its diversity
We are assured it's our strength. If you actually believe that, you may consider an IQ test to see if you've been Fettermanned
mission and countering stigma around physical disabilities.

The American multinational toy manufacturing company has crafted the doll as part of its Barbie Fashionistas line which introduces children to a range of diverse representations of beauty, CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
reported.

Previously, the company launched a Barbie with a prosthetic leg, one using a wheelchair, another with hearing aids, and one with vitiligo — a condition in which patches on one's skin lose pigment.

To produce the latest doll in its collection and ensure appropriate representation of a person with Down's syndrome, the company worked with the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) to form its features, shape, clothing, packaging and accessory.

Down's syndrome is a genetic condition which affects the individual's cognitive ability, resulting in mild to severe learning disabilities as well as distinctive characteristics of the face.

"Our goal is to enable all children to see themselves in Barbie, while also encouraging children to play with dolls who do not look like themselves," said Lisa McKnight, Mattel’s executive vice president and global head of barbie & dolls.

She added that the company's goal is to "counter social stigma through play" through its dolls.

#1  ...Hmmm.

On the one hand...two cheers for Mattel. Not sure how many DS girls will be buying a Barbie that looks like them, but okay. However, that puts us on...

The other hand - it is my understanding (and I will cheerfully admit to error) that the overall number of DS births are steadily decreasing. There are much better and constantly improving pre-natal tests that are spotting it so the parents can terminate if they so wish or simply not try to conceive in the first place. (Not debating the decisions, just pointing out that they are options )

Which means, if one thinks about it, Mattel is marketing an $11.00 toy to a steadily shrinking customer base. Not sure what kind of marketing research is being done here, but there it is.

#3  Will we see Flesh-eating Bacteria Barbie, because Inclusion? There is a DIE Barbie joke in there but I shall refrain.

I wonder what it costs Mattel to turn out a non-standard Barbie - the design, tooling, molds, packaging, production line changeover, etc. I'm guessing you need to sell a bunch to break even.
Posted by: SteveS || 04/26/2023 9:38 Comments || Top||

#4  Doesn't cost them anything if the distributors/retailers are 'required' to carry it.

The only thing to do is if retailers just quit carrying the Barbie line. The Big Boys pick up the tab because they are Invincible!

Then customers pick up the tab because the write off of 10 cubic yards of wrote-off Barbie product thrown in the trash is worked into your price tag, and taxes.

#6  There are some misconceptions in this thread. If you will allow me?

1) This product isn't really for girls like my daughter with Down syndrome. She loves Barbie dolls and likes the varients just fine. But she doesn't see herself as being in a distinct minority group. (Few of them do.)

2) This doll will be part of a product line that most parents get on a subscription basis. We have the subscription, and she gets excited every time a doll comes in.

3) The most common form of DS isn't detectable pre-conception by a genetics test. It is detectable post-conception by a blood test, and abortions are common; though possibly less so than they were 20 years ago in the United States. We are not sure, but the rates mave have dropped from 92% when detected to as low as 82%. But that of course is subject to change.

4) A DS barbie doll is fine -but is most likely for collectors IMO.

Don Lemon's fiery exchange with GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy left CNN leaders 'exasperated'
Who?
[NYPOST] Don Lemon’s fiery
...a single two-syllable word carrying connotations of both incoherence and viciousness. A fiery delivery implies an audience of rubes and yokels, preferably forming up into a mob...
on-air exchange with GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy left CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
leaders "exasperated" ahead of his shocking ouster from the cable news network, according to a report.

Lemon got into a heated argument with Ramaswamy on the set of "CNN This Morning" last Wednesday and the televised clash reportedly played a role in his firing, the New York Times

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

reported.

The banished CNN star’s visible irritability during the conversation with Ramaswamy on the civil rights movement, black Americans and the Second Amendment "left several CNN leaders exasperated," two sources told the paper.

In the footage of the interview, it appears producers were attempting to advise Lemon through the heated debate.

"Please, I cannot keep a thought if you guys are talking in my ear," he said at one point during the segment.

Ramaswamy told Fox News Digital that he thought it was clear their on-air confrontation "played a role" in CNN’s decision to drop Lemon.

"I think that any network that wants to foster open debate should embrace that principle by not restricting what someone can say or saying what someone can say is restricted based on their skin color," Ramaswamy told the outlet. "And I think they made the right decision here."

Lemon, who is black, had said it was "insulting" that the GOPer was "sitting here, whatever ethnicity you are, explaining to me what it’s like to be black in America."

Africa Subsaharan
S. Sudan holdout groups form alliance to topple Juba regime
[SUDANTRIBUNE] South Sudan hold groups have formed an alliance of all armed and non-opposition groups in preparation for major offensives against the Juba regime, raising concerns about their commitment to peace.

The alliance, operating under South Sudan Federal Democratic Alliance (SSFDA), claimed President Salva Kiir and First Vice President Riek Machar were not ready to implement the peace agreement because they are using the 2018 accord as a strategy to remain in power to enrich themselves and members of their families.

Gen. Simon Gatwec Dual, leader of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) Kitgwang faction, said Kiir and Machar share the same agenda.

"Our people should not be fooled that the regime in Juba is for peace. The regime of Salva Kiir and Riek Machar is a regime of people interested in power. Riek wants power and Kiir does not give it. This is the situation and so they have decided to hold the country, hostage. So, as the leaders of various movements, we have decided to rescue our people by forming the alliance to coordinate our efforts to remove them", he explained.

The new alliance, according to a statement issued Wednesday, consists of SPLM/A-IO Kitgwang Declaration, National Salvation Front (NAS), South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUNF/A), United South Sudan Revolutionary Movement/Army (USSRM/A), South Sudan Rescue Front (SSRF), United Revolutionary Democratic Movement (UDRM/K) and South Sudan United Movement/Army Forces (SSUM/FA).

"We, the SSFDA parties to this MoU [Memorandum of Understanding] recognize the need for a united opposition against the brutal regime of General Salva Kiir and his partners in crime," partly reads the statement extended to Sudan Tribune.

It added, "Knowing the protracted suffering imposed on our citizens by illegitimate and unilateral extension of the government without due democratic process. We, the SSFDA parties may appreciate the role of the unified political and military action to change the regime in Juba by committing the country to a democratic process through free and fair elections".

Europe
Italy Strips Some Gay Couples of Parental Recognition
[WSJ] "I cried all my tears," said Ms. Leidi, a 38-year-old education worker from Bergamo in northern Italy. "I never missed a scan, from the moment she was conceived to the moment she was born. Yet it’s as though I don’t exist," she said. She is now trying to adopt Giulia, a tortuous path in Italy.

The crackdown on birth certificates is part of a broader campaign against same-sex parenthood led by Ms. Meloni, who has frequently spoken out against what she calls "the LGBTQ lobby" and in defense of Christian family values.

At the same time, her government has sought to keep its right-wing voters happy with hard-line stances on immigration, gay rights and national identity. Recently, her party colleagues have railed against the creeping use of English words in Italian, proposing fines for "Anglomania."

The use of surrogate mothers is a crime "more serious than pedophilia," said prominent party lawmaker Federico Mollicone, sparking a firestorm.

The Grand Turk
Erdogan's abrupt departure from live interview shocks audience
[GEO.TV] Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
abruptly interrupted a live television interview on Tuesday before returning and apologising, citing a stomach bug as the reason for his sudden departure.

The 69-year-old leader had given three campaign speeches earlier in the day, leading up to a closely contested parliamentary and presidential election scheduled for May 14th.

Erdogan was scheduled to end the day with a joint interview on Ulke TV and Kanal 7, which began more than 90 minutes behind schedule. However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
ten minutes into the interview, the broadcast abruptly cut off mid-question, causing the camera to shake and the news hound to stand up from his chair. An off-camera voice could be heard saying, "Oh wow."

About 15 minutes later, Erdogan returned to the interview to apologise for his sudden departure, saying, "Yesterday and today were hard work. That's why I got a stomach flu."

The president appeared tired and his eyes seemed to water as he spoke. After answering a few more questions, he ended the broadcast.

Erdogan and his Islamic-rooted party have held a dominant position in Ottoman Turkish politics for the past two decades, but the upcoming election poses a significant challenge to his rule. Polls indicate that he is running neck-and-neck with opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu or could potentially lose the election.

Kilicdaroglu expressed his well wishes towards Erdogan, tweeting shortly after the incident aired, "I convey my best wishes to Mr. Erdogan."

India-Pakistan
Swat blasts linked to short circuit at armoury
Good to know.
[Dawn] The twin blasts that struck a counter-terrorism facility and killed several people in the Kabal town of Swat
...a valley and an administrative district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistain, located 99 mi from Islamabad. It is inhabited mostly by Pashto speakers. The place has gone steadily downhill since the days when Babe Ruth was the Sultan of Swat...
were caused by electrical short circuit at a munitions warehouse within the premises, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police have found in a preliminary investigation, ruling out a turban attack, as initially suggested.

The number of deaths from the Monday incident has risen to 17 — nine officers, three civilians and five recently detained hard boyz who were being held there for investigation. Besides, 70 people were maimed, mostly coppers.

On Tuesday, the KP caretaker government formed a two-member fact-finding committee to investigate the incident.

In Kabal, KP police chief Akhtar Hayat Khan told news hounds that the blasts happened after rocket-propelled grenades, mines and other arms seized in different cases and stored in the warehouse had gone off due to short circuit.

Mr Khan said that fragments from these explosives struck buildings as far as 400 metres away. A projectile also hit the police lines mosque, leaving a hole in its roof.

He said that there was neither any evidence of forced entry at the facility’s gate nor were pellets found in the victims’ post-mortem reports. Besides, no shots were fired at the entrance.

The two explosions rocked the cop shoppe with an interval of 12 minutes, with the first blast taking place at 8:20pm and the second at 8:32pm, he said.

However,
those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things...
he said the police would investigate the matter with an open mind and consider all angles during the investigation. Besides, the police would work to secure such material stored in other areas as well, he said.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran charges two actresses for not wearing hijab in public
[GEO.TV] Two Iranian actresses have been charged by Iranian police for publishing photos of themselves online violating the country's dress code for women, just weeks after announcing a crackdown on breaches, local media reported.

The Tasnim news agency said late Monday that Police in Tehran have referred the case against Katayoun Riahi and Pantea Bahram to Iran's judiciary. The two women have been accused of "the crime of removing the hijab in public and posting photos on the internet."

The women could face fines or prison if prosecuted.

The police said earlier this month that they would begin using "smart" technology in public places to crack down on women combating Iran's mandatory dress code.

Last week, photos of Bahram, 53, started circulating over social media after she posed without a headscarf at a movie screening. While, Riahi, 61, posted multiple images taken in public locations around the capital in which she did not wear a headscarf.

The Iranian government bound the women to wear the hijab in public after the Islamic Revolution of 1979.

The number of Iranian women rebelling against the dress code has been on the rise since protests began after the death in jug of Kurdish-Iranian Mahsa Amini, 22, for allegedly breaching the code.

Authorities said on April 16 that they had sealed 150 commercial facilities whose workers were not complying with the dress regulation.

Ms Bahram and Ms Riahi have won several awards at Iran's leading cinema event, the Fajr International Film Festival.

In November, Ms Riahi was released on bail after more than a week's detention for posting photos to Instagram in solidarity with the Amini protests, showing herself without a headscarf.

She was the first Iranian actress to post such images on social media in support of the protest movement.
