Elon Musk is linking them up in Carolina. You gave every American a converter to get digital tv, you can give every American a Starlink base to connect to the internet. Oh, that's right, Elon isn't among the graft parties you reward and actually delivers a product.

Trump really should have hit this hard in their debate on 10 September. It is not as important as the border issue but it is such an egregious failure that it would have been significant.

Actually, I don't think much of the $42B has been expended yet. As I understand the program, this is mostly reimbursement financing with some expenditures upon contract agreement but most expenditure after construction and inspection. I may be wrong.

Illinois has a constitutional problem as the government has to keep pension payments even if they're beyond the means of the local community to fund said programs. In simple terms, the prols exist and work for the bureaucracy.
[FoxNews] Supreme Court rejected Cohen's appeal without comment
The Supreme Court dismissed ex-lawyer Michael Cohen’s appeal to revive a lawsuit against former President Donald Trump on Monday, shutting down Cohen's accusations for the last time.
Cohen had claimed his 2020 imprisonment was retaliation by Trump's administration for publishing a book critical of the former president. The lawsuit had sought monetary damages from Trump, former U.S. Attorney General William Barr, federal prison officials and the federal government.
"Michael Cohen has exhausted every avenue of his pathetic attempt to drag my client into court time and time again. As expected, the Supreme Court has correctly denied Michael Cohen's petition and he must finally abandon his frivolous and desperate claims," Trump attorney Alina Habba told Fox News Digital in a statement.
Cohen had served three years behind bars for several federal crimes relating to his work for Trump, including lying to Congress. He was released on home confinement during the pandemic, but was sent back to prison after refusing to sign an agreement limiting his postings on social media and contacts with the press.
Two courts ruled against Cohen's initial claim, based on a narrow reading of the Supreme Court's ruling in the 1971 case Bivens v. Six Unknown Named Agents, which provides citizens the limited legal right to sue federal officials who violate their constitutional rights.
The Supreme Court did not elaborate on its decision to reject Cohen's appeal.

Democrat Atlantic City mayor Mayor Marty Small Sr. and his wife, La'Quetta Small have been charged with physically harming their daughter on "multiple occasions" last winter, according to a new report from Philly Voice.
The pair are facing charges of child endangerment, assault and terroristic threats, the report says.
Attorneys for the mayor and his wife call the charges "headline-grabbing" due to his "high profile status", though to be fair, prior to this report...we'd never heard of him.
Attorney Ed Jacobs said: "We are confident that fair-minded jurors will quickly see that parenting struggles are not criminal events, and will agree on the innocence of both Marty and La’Quetta."
Atlantic County prosecutors accused Small of beating his 16-year-old daughter with a broomstick, slamming her down stairs, and punching her during family disputes in December and January. His wife is accused of punching their daughter, dragging her by the hair, hitting her with a belt, and striking her face.
The incidents allegedly arose from conflicts over the girl's boyfriend, who provided prosecutors with photos, videos, and evidence of the abuse and resulting bruises.
Gov. Phil Murphy said through a spokesperson that Small should "consider whether he can continue effectively serving the people of Atlantic City as Mayor."
The Philly Voice report says that after prosecutors searched the Smalls' home in March, Mayor Marty Small held a press conference - of course suggesting the investigation might have "political and racial motivations".
Constance Days-Chapman, Small’s former campaign manager and principal of Atlantic City High School, is charged with failing to report child abuse and obstructing justice.
She allegedly did not notify child protection authorities after the Smalls' daughter disclosed the abuse to her. Days-Chapman pleaded not guilty at her arraignment last week.
If only Smalls had the same commitment to discipline with cleaning up Atlantic City...

[JustTheNews] House Judiciary Committee Jim Jordan on Monday released the transcript of closed-door testimony from Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor hired by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to help manage her office's Donald Trump ...The Hero of Butler, Pennsylvania... election interference case before coming under scrutiny for his romantic-financial relationship with Willis.
Wade testified that Willis was planning to prosecute Trump and began discussing a search committee to find a special prosecutor to investigate the former president prior to assuming office in January 2021.
The former special prosecutor was also confronted with his own records showing that he met with White House officials, for eight hours on one occasion, though he told Sherlocks he could not recall the details of the meetings.
Wade served on that search committee, which was instated on day one of Willis’ term in January 2021. After an unsuccessful search, Wade was ultimately invited to assume the role himself, which he claimed he reluctantly accepted.
"And so the search committee, you said that began when DA Willis took office on January 1, 2021. Is that correct?" Sherlocks asked.
"Yes," Wade replied.
"And was there outreach to you to be part of the search committee prior to January 1, 2021?"
"Absolutely," he confirmed, saying the outreach began "Sometime after the election, but prior to her taking office."
The transcript of Wade's deposition Tuesday was released by Jordan's committee a week after the interview. The GOP-led committee subpoenaed Wade as part of an investigation into his relationship with Willis. Last year, Willis indicted Trump and 18 codefendants in Georgia over their alleged efforts to challenge the 2020 election results in the state.
Wade resigned from the case in March after a Georgia judge made his stepping aside a condition of allowing Willis to remain on the case after evidence of an improper financial and romantic relationship emerged between them.

I don’t see any downside for Wade unless he lies under oath. I assume that the romantic and professional relationships with Fani are done.
