Nah, I think they hit the radio tower. That streak upward is a freaking electric arc. When they were building SLB's Rig 601, we were exactly half a wavelength away from a radio tower and it was energizing the rig. One of the guys recorded on video a metal pump tag arcing and you can hear the freaking radio station play as it does. They sent out 3 very senior electrical engineers to study it and write papers.

I looked at it three times. It definitely looks like he hit the radio tower. Before that, there's one place where there appears to be some type of damage to the helicopter, with sparks flying from the rear. NOT a MANPAD explosion. Weird.

Ok. Based in this discussion, article moved to Page 3: Non-WoT, Short Attention Span Theater. With my thanks for teaching me something new and unexpected about the necessary awareness of wavelengths — that’s one I’ll pass on to Mr. Wife, whose brain works that way. :-)

OK, facts in hand:
(1) A helicopter did crash, flying at 600ft
(2) It took down a 1000 ft radio mast, and the aviation marker was out. Again.
(3) The 'air tour' company had been in operation 10 whole days.
(4) Other pilots said that the mast was difficult to see against the background of office bulidings.

OK in the clip, there's a white blip where the missle/Hand of God/Tesla's Revenge originated. If I can see it in the clip why couldn't the pilots see it?

The Key Bridge seemed to have some strange arcing as well.

Starting to sound (not like Musk's Tesla but the Tesla that invented AC power and everything) Tesla's lightening experiments...
Disclosure: In a large group of engineers in Motorola in the late 1990s was a man who on the side made huge Tesla Coils for Hollywood (on the side of his regular job). When he told me about electric bolts from his basketball hoop to the ground and lighting light bulbs on little floats with an antenna in the air and a lead into the water 3 miles away from his coil... I MADE DAMN SURE TO ALWAYS KNOW WHERE HE LIVED AS I DIDN"T WANT TO LIVE ANYWHERE NEAR HIS COILS!
His primary coil was usually 1" copper waterpipe with cooling water running through it (to cool it). The secondary was usually a power transformer just like the power company would use...
I learned my lesson in the early 70s when a Tesla Coil in a science room at college blew all the circuits in my turned off TI calculator in a nearby lecture room. EM power travels in mysterious ways...

Early in Telsa's work in Long Island his experiments at a lab site caused all the nails in a wooden police station a few miles away to start visible sparking. The police correlated to his visible tests and kicked his experimenting out of Long Island. He moved them to the Rocky Mtns.

Another question... did the antenna in Houston have a lawn (grass) growing on it?
Reason.. a customer of Motorola had a cell site in the Indiana Dunes State Park. It wasn't working right and strange stuff was happening around it. It turned out the park had planted grass under it. That took the water out of the sand. Just sand didn't conduct properly and was no longer a ground. The solution was to kill all the grasses and pour salt on the ground to make the sand more conductive...

[Regnum] A magnitude 5.0 earthquake has struck the southern Turkish province of Adana, the Disaster Management Authority (AFAD) reported on October 27.
The AFAD report said that the tremors occurred in the Kozan region at 20:07 Moscow time. The earthquake's source was located at a depth of 20.13 km.
"AFAD and all teams of our relevant institutions immediately began to study the area. At the moment, there is no negative situation," wrote the head of the Interior Ministry of the republic, Ali Yerlikaya, on the social network H.
On October 16, Regnum news agency reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 had occurred in the eastern part of Turkey. The tremors were recorded at 07:46 (10:46 Moscow time) at a distance of 46 km to the east of the city of Malatya, where about 441 thousand people live. The earthquake's epicenter was at a depth of 9 km.
On September 22, a magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck the western Argentine province of San Luis. Its epicenter was located 158 km northwest of the city of San Luis, home to about 183,000 people.
[JustTheNews] Citizens of four countries were granted expanded entry by the Biden-Harris administration through a parole program.
Of the 14 million illegal border crossers reported under the Biden-Harris administration, more than 3 million are from four countries whose citizens were granted expanded entry through a parole program created by U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas: Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela (CHNV).
At least 2,496,080 illegal border crossers from CHNV countries were reported under the Biden-Harris administration, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data. The data represents fiscal years 2021-2024, excluding the first three months of fiscal 2021 under the previous administration. The federal fiscal year is from Oct. 1 through Sept. 30.
When including the 531,000 released into the country through CHNV, the total increases to at least 3,027,080 from these four countries. The total excludes gotaways, those who illegally entered and evaded capture, those released into the country through the CBP One App and other parole programs Mayorkas created, and the tens of thousands of Haitians and Cubans repatriated by the U.S. Coast Guard, The Center Square reported.
Mayorkas argues the CHNV and other parole programs are legal and necessary; federal judges have ruled they aren’t. Republican members of Congress argue they’re illegal and cited them as evidence to impeach Mayorkas in February. The papers CHNV foreign nationals and other illegal border crossers receive from Department of Homeland Security agencies state they are illegal aliens, are unlawfully present in the U.S., and require them to report to an immigration judge years into the future, The Center Square first reported.
The U.S. State Department designated two of four CHNV countries, Cuba and Nicaragua, as Countries of Particular Concern for “systematic, ongoing, egregious violations of religious freedom.” These include “torture, prolonged detention without charges, forced disappearance, or other flagrant denial of life, liberty, or security of persons.” Cuba is also designated as a State Sponsor of Terrorism.
NEW: Robert Kenendy Jr. says that Donald Trump is breaking tradition by privately funding his transition team and has already started it three months early.
Kennedy began by talking about why he's chosen to trust Trump, saying, "I've talked to Donald Trump specifically about… pic.twitter.com/8J7SW9ig63
… specifically about this, and I said, 'Look, the last time you were in there, you put John Bolton in charge of NSA, and Mike Pompeo in charge of the CIA... and he said, 'Here's the difference... when I got in last time, I had no idea how to govern, and I got surrounded by donors and corporate people who said you appoint this guy and appoint that guy... I appointed a lot of bad people.'
He continued, "I was listening this morning to this extraordinary interview that Donald Trump did with Joe Rogan yesterday... and he said, 'This time I'm not gonna do that.' He told us that (too), and he didn't just promise that, but he did something no other president's done before. Normally, the transition team is not created until November 6th because GAO, the General Accounting Office, pays for all the cost of the transition team. Trump said, 'I'm not gonna do it this time. I'm not gonna do it their way. I'm gonna start my own transition team three months early.' And he got private donors to fund it, and he's appointed 20 people including me and Tulsi, and there's people of all different kinds of ideology and people who we're gonna have to go up against on that transition team and fight for our vision. But I can tell you this, which is unique: there are no corporate lobbyists on that transition team. And, usually, it's 100% corporate lobbyists. So it's very, very different, and it gives me lots of hope that this government is gonna be different than any government we've ever seen."

They changed laws on the transition team so as to be able to mandate inclusion of people that would work against Trump. By privately funding the transition team, the plan was foiled.

OK, he's a slow learner, but at least he can learn.
This is not an area that 3dc claims to know a lot about other than it's part of one of the worst physical areas in the world to fight. What just happened? I know that they have been fighting here for many decades.
The CCP's People's Liberation Army withdrawing from the Ladakh region (ironically, they even added such heroic music as background for the video), all outposts and fortifications must be dismantled, and all supplies and equipment must be removed. This land will now be entirely... pic.twitter.com/GfAkXHvZB6

…This land will now be entirely under Indian jurisdiction.
India has already announced the establishment of the Ladakh Union Territory. This area is roughly equivalent to three Taiwans, forty Hong Kongs, totaling 90,000 square kilometers.
I can tell you that the CCP has not at all informed the Chinese people about the specifics of this agreement with India to "resolve the border dispute." Anyway, the media is controlled by the CCP, and the public has no right to know, only to be brainwashed and incited.

One comment (not on the net) from an expert on many issues I discussed this with was that China and India had reached a trade deal that could help China's economy, it frees up CCP troops to invade Taiwan and various like issues. No explanation other than stupidity why no news agencies are reporting this.
In a crucial move to improve diplomatic relations, India and China will finalise the military disengagement process across the Line of Actual Control (LAC) by October 28-29, as reported by ANI.
This development follows a key agreement between India and China aimed at resolving the border dispute. Notably, it marks the first successful resolution since the 2020 Galwan clash, which led to casualties on both sides.
The disengagement will occur at two points of friction along the LAC - Demchok and Depsang Plains in eastern Ladakh.
An Indian Army source informed ANI, "The latest agreements will only apply to Demchok and Depsang and not to other areas. This agreement does not cover other friction zones. Troops from both nations will revert to positions held before April 2020, and will patrol areas they previously covered until April 2020."
Indian troops have begun withdrawing equipment to rear areas in line with the agreement. It is unclear if a symbolic gesture will mark the disengagement's completion at these two points, as unresolved issues remain.
S Jaishankar on the disengagement
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar described the military disengagement at the two friction points along the Ladakh border as a first step, with de-escalation as the next. He highlighted the need for time to rebuild trust and cooperation between the nations.
"The border situation has been very disturbed, with a very negative impact on the overall relationship," the Union Minister remarked on Saturday.
The Foreign Minister pointed out that the agreement addressed three main issues, the first being disengagement, as troops of both nations were "very, very close up to each other, and the possibility of something happening is there."
The second, he noted, is "de-escalation," followed by the "larger issue of how to manage the border and negotiate the boundary settlement."

I agree with 3dc. I believe that the Chinese in Ladakh could be considered seasoned troops that will be needed to lead a conscript army in an attack on Taiwan.

For a given value of seasoned, anyway. They’re high up on the glacier, mostly shouting insults at the Indian troops during the day, then sneaking off at night to move the border markers a few meters farther into Indian territory. Every once in a while tempers are lost and shots exchanged, and sometimes a mass brawl occurs. But the air is thin up there, so neither side has much energy for serious soldierly activities.
As wars go, it’s kindergarten levels of pathetic, as far as I can tell.
[Barrons] Close to 40 percent of World Bank climate financing over the past seven years is currently unaccounted for, Oxfam said in a new report published Wednesday, blaming poor record-keeping.
An Oxfam audit of the development lender's climate finance portfolio between 2017 and 2023 found that as much as $41 billion in climate finance could not be found "between the time projects were approved and when they closed."
"The Bank is quick to brag about its climate finance billions — but these numbers are based on what it plans to spend, not on what it actually spends once a project gets rolling," Kate Donald, the head of Oxfam's Washington office, said in a statement.
The World Bank has looked to boost its climate financing commitment under new president Ajay Banga, who took over last year on a pledge to reform the 80-year-old Washington-based institution. Re-enforces my belief that those jetting around to attend the dozens of "Elitist" Climate ______ meetings, never used a dime of their own money and in fact likely made $$ Millions doing so.

Years ago I tried to work with the World Bank on a study. I wanted data on their projects. They had a lot of data on what they spent and considered it a success if the loan was paid or even partially back on time. They had no data (or wouldn't share it) on exactly what had been constructed with their funds, what was the before/after situation with the economy in the region of the construction or anything I could use.
It took many hours of my time talking to person after person.
