[FREEBEACON] Berklee College of Music has fired a top professor following a Washington Free Beacon probe into his anti-Semitic comments.
Nicholas Payton, who has called Jews "vile predators" and falsely blamed them for slavery, revealed in an Instagram post Saturday that he was out as chair of the school's brass department.
"[O]n a zoom meeting this wednesday at 1:00pm CST, i was told by two berklee officials that i had 24 hours to resign or be terminated," Payton wrote in the post. "[I] think the real issue is people miscategorizing me as an 'antisemite.'"
"[L]et me remind those who find me problematic: I AM THE VICTIM. [I] was dismissed without due process, without a warning, or a chance to make it right," the aggrieved musician continued.

The musician additionally claimed that Berklee had hired him in full knowledge of his past remarks about Jews—and had indicated their personal agreement with him.

The size of the Liberal government might not be known for some time and could depend on the westernmost province of British Columbia, where polls closed last.
The Liberals are leading or elected in 139 seats, followed by the Conservatives with 107, according to CBC.
Carney has promised a tough approach with Washington over its tariffs and said Canada will need to spend billions to reduce its reliance on the US. But the right-of-center Conservatives, who have called for change after more than nine years of Liberal rule, show unexpected strength.
The House has 343 seats and if Carney only captures a minority, he will have to negotiate with other parties to stay in power. Minority governments in Canada rarely last longer than 2-2.5 years.
The result, though, caps a notable comeback for the Liberals, who had been 20 points behind in the polls in January before unpopular former prime minister Justin Trudeau ...hereditary prime minister of the Great White North... announced he was quitting and Trump started threatening tariffs and annexation.

Carney's party had about 43% of the national vote, but may fall short of the 172 seats needed for a majority in the House of Commons, meaning the government would be forced to work with other parties to pass budgets and other legislation. Under the tightest scenarios, the Bloc Quebecois, which runs candidates only in French-speaking Quebec, might hold the balance of power.

[AMERICANTHINKER] Andrew Paquette, Ph.D., has discovered a never-before-seen algorithm in the Wisconsin Election Commission's (WEC) voter registration database, leaving no doubt someone has penetrated the WEC's computer system to impose a criminal reordering on the voter files. This finding alone should draw the attention of Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and FBI Director Kash Patel. Yet, to date, we see no action whatsoever from the DOJ or the FBI investigating criminal election fraud.
Paquette first observed that the WEC voter roll had an unusually high number of voter records that ended in zero. Assuming that the WEC voter roll assigned voter ID numbers sequentially, without breaks or outside manipulation, records ending in 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 should appear with equal distribution. As seen in Table 1, voter records ending in zero occurred in 30.6 percent of the voter records, while those ending in numbers 1 through 9 ended with each number appearing equally at 7.7 percent of the time.
Paquette was at a loss to explain this irregularity until he realized that every voter ID record ending in zero had two different Wisconsin voters assigned the same voter ID number. In searching the database, Paquette confirmed that in every case where the same voter ID number was assigned to two different voters, the voter record ended in zero.
We have labeled the two voter IDs tied to WEC voter records ending in zero as ''doubles,'' a term devised to distinguish this phenomenon from the ''modified duplicates'' that Paquette previously found in the WEC voter database. ''Modified duplicates'' involve making multiple voter records for the same voter, which can be done, for instance, by assigning a different birthdate or address to each duplicated record. Because duplicated voters each have different dates of birth or other addresses, the ''modified duplicates'' appear to be different people.
The point of the ''modified duplicate'' scheme is to create false voters, all of whom nevertheless get legitimate state voter ID numbers. The non-existent ''multiple duplicate'' voters can then be hidden back in the voter roll, identifiable to the criminals by ''algorithm locator numbers,'' so they are available for use in fraudulent mail-in ballot schemes.
Why the ''doubles'' scheme assigns the same voter ID number to two different voters is more difficult to figure out. What is also not clear is whether one or both of the ''doubles'' are real voters or if both of the ''doubles'' voters could be fictitious.
A scheme this complicated must operate through a computer algorithm that creates ''doubles'' for every voter ID record ending in zero in a WEC database of over 7 million voters. That is, whatever rule is applied to pick the two voters who constitute the ''doubles'' in a database with over 7 million voters needs an algorithm if the scheme is to be applied, monitored, and updated on an ongoing basis.
Put another way, this cannot be random. Because there's numerical consistency when it comes to all zero-ending records involving doubles and all duplicate voters having only zero-ending voter IDs, that implies a set of programming instructions (i.e., an algorithm) telling the system to create these records in formulaic fashion.
The probability that a scheme this complicated, consistent, and massive could happen by chance is near zero. The only logical conclusion is that someone penetrated the WEC server to embed the rule that would consistently alter the entire WEC voter registration database.

I don't know how difficult it would be to establish such evidence but Paquette doesn't say how he might look for this, e.g., examining registration and voting at long term care facilities or University dorms.

[DAILYWIRE] On Monday, a House Democrat introduced seven articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, kicking off a bid that has virtually no chance of succeeding in the Republican-led Congress.
The impeachment resolution from Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-MI) accuses Trump of ''high crimes and misdemeanors'' over alleged constitutional violations related to taxpayer funds, deportations, tariffs, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) effort led by Elon Musk, retaliation against the press, and others.
''Donald Trump has repeatedly demonstrated that he is unfit to serve as President and represents a clear and present danger to our nation's constitution and our democracy,'' Thanedar said in a statement. ''His unlawful actions have subverted the justice system, violated the separation of powers, and placed personal power and self-interest above public service. We cannot wait for more damage to be done. Congress must act.''
In a video posted on social media, Thanedar claimed the ''final straw'' was Trump defying a Supreme Court ruling that the government must ''facilitate'' the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant deported to his home country of El Salvador.
The announcement came hours after Michigan state Rep. Donavan McKinney launched a 2026 primary campaign for the Detroit-area district against Thanedar, a 70-year-old Indian immigrant serving his second term in the House. McKinney joins former state Sen. Adam Hollier, who is challenging Thanedar for a third time, and has already received an endorsement from the leftist Justice Democrats.
''People like our congressman, Shri Thanedar, are the problem,'' McKinney said in an announcement video. ''A multimillionaire who spent millions to buy a seat in Congress, who has more in common with Donald Trump and Elon Musk than people like us.''
During his first term, Trump was impeached twice when the Democrats commanded the House. One inquiry dealt with Ukraine, and the other with January 6. Both efforts ended in acquittal by a GOP-led Senate.
Because the House and Senate are now controlled by Republicans who are largely aligned with the president, Thanedar's articles of impeachment are likely to go nowhere. That has been the case with articles of impeachment announced by Rep. Al Green (D-TX), who accused Trump of committing ''dastardly deeds'' in the first couple of weeks of his second term.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] President Donald Trump is inking new executive orders that would target 'sanctuary cities' in liberal enclaves – and direct authorities to yank back billions in federal revenue if necessary.
The cities, including New York, Chicago and Boston, have established laws protecting migrants amid ICE deportation efforts going after people who came here illegally.
The issue burst back into the forefront with the arrest of a Wisconsin judge was charged with helping an undocumented immigrant who was in her courtroom avoid arrest.
The order directs the Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security to identify jurisdictions that aren't cooperating with the feds as they carry out law enforcement operations as part of Trump's mass deportation campaign.
'It's quite simple,' White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said at the White House on Monday.
'Obey the law, respect the law, and don't obstruct federal immigration officials and law enforcement officials when they are simply trying to remove public safety threats from our nation's communities.'
Once the agencies identify the 'sanctuary cities,' cabinet secretaries are to tabulate how much federal aid they get.
For those that 'remain' sanctuary jurisdictions, AG Pam Bondi and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem then 'shall pursue all necessary legal remedies and enforcement measures to end these violations and bring such jurisdictions into compliance with the laws of the United States.'
The agencies also 'shall identify and take appropriate action to stop the enforcement of State and local laws, regulations, policies, and practices favoring aliens over any groups of American citizens that are unlawful, preempted by Federal law, or otherwise unenforceable.'
Efforts to strip federal funding are certain to provoke a court challenge. Many of Trump's 140 executive orders from his first 100 days are already facing legal challenges.
Another order signed by Trump on Monday requires truck drivers to speak English and pass literacy tests.
'Proficiency in English ... should be a non-negotiable safety requirement for professional drivers,' according to the order.
'They should be able to read and understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety, border patrol, agricultural checkpoints, and cargo weight-limit station officers. Drivers need to provide feedback to their employers and customers and receive related directions in English. This is common sense.'
[FoxNews] Assembly Bill 379 seeks to align the penalties for sex traffickers with the consumers
A California human trafficking bill to combat child sex trafficking is being gutted with the reluctant agreement of the bill’s author to remove a provision that targets consumers in an effort to get the legislation passed.
State Assemblywoman Maggy Krell, a Democrat, agreed to remove a clause from Assembly Bill 379 that states buyers of 16 and 17-year-olds for sex would face felony charges, leaving the solicitation of those minors by adults to be treated as a misdemeanor.
"In order to get a hearing on the bill, we were forced to remove the piece of the bill that ensures the crime of purchasing a minor for sex applies in all cases where the victim is under the age of 18," Krell told Fox News Digital.
"I wholeheartedly disagree with that amendment," she added. "This has been my life’s work and I will continue to partner with sex trafficking survivors and law enforcement to ensure all minors are protected from the horrors of sex trafficking."
Krell noted that the bill still criminalizes "the creeps who are loitering to buy teenagers for sex and sets up a fund to help victims. Those will be powerful tools in the fight against sex trafficking — it’s a good start."
California Assembly Republicans quickly criticized Democrats over the change.
"Why are some @AssemblyDems planning to cut felony charges for adults who buy 16- and 17-year-olds for sex?," California Assembly Republicans posted on X. "There are no excuses. Protect the kids. Not the predators."
Earlier, media reports stated that lawmakers wanted to hold off on the bill and possibly hold information hearings on the issue in the fall.
The bill came together after older teens were left out of a state law that went into effect this year that makes it a felony to purchase a child, ages 15 and younger for sex. Last year, California State Sen. Shannon Grove authored a bill that made it illegal to buy minors for sex, but it excluded 16 and 17 year-olds.

I thought the part where they said lawmakers "....possibly hold information hearings on the issue...." was spectacularly stupid. There's *nothing* to hold "information hearings" on--sex trafficking is a scourge and those who engage in it should be prosecuted, period. Anything to discuss beyond that is just wasting time.
