Five Charged in Texas Human Trafficking, Sex Slavery Scheme
[BREITBART] Houston police arrested five people in connection to an alleged human trafficking and sex slavery operation. Police rescued 18 victims who officials say were held for ransom and forced to work or perform sexual acts. At least one of the suspects is a twice-deported criminal alien.

On June 5, Houston Police Department Sherlocks received information about a migrant being held in a Houston stash house, Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo told news hounds on June 28. The information led to the arrest of five individuals and the rescue of 18 ‐ including two women and 16 men.

Acevedo told news hounds that Sherlocks traveled to an area where they believed the trafficking victims were being held. During a traffic stop, officers rescued a juvenile victim and detained several suspects, the chief said.

The traffic stop spurred a further joint investigation with the Houston Police Department and Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations special agents. The investigation led law enforcement officials to a location in northwest Houston, Acevedo explained, where an undercover money exchange led to the arrest of another suspect and the recovery of an additional kidnap victim.

This arrest led to the uncovering of a stash house "where other victims were being held against their will," the Houston police chief stated. "We were able to rescue 16 additional victims from deplorable conditions."

Acevedo said that women were being held captive and were sexually assaulted for 25 days. The chief told news hounds the 16 men were being held with "little to no clothing" and were forced to work and perform sexual acts.

The investigation led to the arrest of five subjects. Their charges include engaging in organized crime, sexual assault, and aggravated kidnapping, he stated.

In total, police arrested five suspects. Those suspects are identified by police as:
  • Fredy Moreno-Gill, 26

  • Jose Manuel Aviles-Diaz, 26

  • Jose Silvestre, 18

  • Morris Gudiel Campos Gomez, 39

  • Gabriel Salazar-Bautista, 35

Court records from the U.S. Southern District of Texas reveals that Gabriel Salazar-Bautista is a Mexican national who immigration officers deported in 2009 and 2013. Salazar-Bautista was one of the suspects arrested in the initial traffic stop on June 3. He now faces a federal charge of illegal re-entry after removal in addition to the Texas kidnapping charge.

BREAKING - Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher found not guilty on murder and attempted murder charges
[FoxNews] A jury found decorated Navy SEAL Edward "Eddie" Gallagher not guilty Tuesday on almost all charges he was facing, including murder and attempted murder, in the killing of a teenage Islamic State member in Iraq.

Gallagher was accused of stabbing to death a 15-year-old ISIS fighter in 2017 and posing with the corpse for photos.

He faced seven criminal charges in all. Six of the most serious charges included premeditated murder, willfully discharging a firearm to endanger human life, retaliation against members of his platoon for reporting his alleged actions, obstruction of justice and the attempted murders of two noncombatants. On all of those charges, the just in San Diego found him not guilty.

Jurors did find him guilty of the seventh charge, posing for a photo with a casualty, considered the least egregious of the crimes, which carries a maximum prison sentence of four months.
He's already served a lot more, so - time served
Gallagher served nine months in prison awaiting trial but was released ahead of trial proceedings at the end of May as the judge attempted to rectify alleged prosecutorial misconduct which included the unauthorized tracking of the defense's emails.

Nearly a dozen members of Gallagher's platoon testified against him, revealing that nearly all the platoon members posed for photos with the dead prisoner and witnessed Gallagher read his reenlistment oath near the body, actions prosecutors said proved that Gallagher was "proud" of his actions.

Perhaps the biggest bombshell in the case occurred on June 20 when Gallagher's colleague, Special Operator 1st Class Corey Scott, admitted to asphyxiating the ISIS fighter back in 2017, contrary to the testimony of at least seven other SEALs who said Gallagher stabbed the ISIS fighter after medics administered treatment to him, ultimately resulting in the teenager's death.

Gallagher, 40, who served 19 years in the Navy and earned a Bronze Star with V for Valor twice, a Meritorious Unit Commendation and a trio of Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medals, has been publicly championed by his wife and even President Trump, who previously got Gallagher removed from the brig and transferred to better custody conditions at a Navy hospital before trial.
More from the Daily Mail:
  • Navy SEAL Edward "Eddie" Gallagher maintained his innocence throughout and said he was being set up by a group of younger, less disciplined men who did not like his leadership style

  • He was only reported to his supervisors after the other SEALs learned he was up for a promotion and a Silver Star, the third highest honor in the military

  • The defense said on Monday there were huge 'gaping holes' in the evidence

  • The jury was made up of five Marines and two sailors, including one SEAL

  • The prosecution needed five of the seven jurors to convict

  • It took them less than two days to reach a verdict at the Navy Base in San Diego

#6  Thanks TW.

I have been following this closely.

He took charge of the worst performing SEAL team and tried to bring them up to speed. They bitched. They moaned. They were insubordinate.

No sniff of murder or other things happening during the tour. Nothing... until they reached the States. Then a young JAG officer got wind of complaints.

This is nothing more than the Navy trying to cover up a piss poor SEAL team and the over zealousness of a piss poor JAG fuckstick officer. People really should be shot for this injustice.

Glad the UCMJ and the jury saw through the bullshit and good on the medic for punching a gaping hole in the prosecutor's case.

Afghanistan
Mullah Baradar joins Taliban talks in Qatar to end stalemate on draft agreement
[DAILYTIMES.PK] Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
political office head Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar joined negotiations with the US officials in Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
on Monday to resolve differences over a draft agreement, Taliban sources in Qatar said.

Taliban had earlier indicated reaching an agreement with the US on a timeframe for the withdrawal of foreign troops and the Taliban assurance to prevent Afghanistan from being used against the US, its allies and any other country. However,
alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk...
they could not reach any deal until late Monday. Earlier, a message shared with Taliban officials indicated that a decision of the Qatar talks could be announced on Monday that will be a ’success for the Islamic Emirate’. Sources say the current round of talks was scheduled to continue for three days and Monday was the last day. But now Taliban sources say the talks will continue on Tuesday as well.

Baradar also met US chief negotiator Zalmay Khalilzad at the venue of the talks to finalize the deal, Taliban officials said. Sher Abbas Stanekzai is leading the Taliban team and Baradar joined the talks for the first time in three days.

Meanwhile,
...back at the revival hall, Buford bit the snake and Eloise began speaking in tongues...
Taliban front man in Qatar Suhail Shaheen said negotiations with Afghan sides will start after a timeframe for the withdrawal of foreign troops is announced in the presence of international guarantors. "But there will be no talks with the Kabul administration in its official capacity," he tweeted, a day after the Afghan Foreign Ministry announced that Germany will host the representatives of the Taliban and the Afghan government this month.

Afghan Foreign Ministry Sibghatullah Ahmadi had told news hounds in Kabul on Sunday that direct talks between the Taliban and the Afghan government could begin within two weeks.

Egypt legalizes status of 127 unlicensed churches, service buildings
[AlAhram] A presidential committee tasked with rectifying the status of unlicensed Christian places of worship, chaired by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, approved on Monday legalizing 127 churches and service buildings that used to be operating without permit.

This brings to 1,021 the total number of unlicensed Christian places of worship and service buildings that have been granted legal status so far.

In statements on Monday, Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad said the committee was convened in the presence of the ministers of justice, antiquities and parliamentary affairs along with representatives of the bodies concerned.

The meeting also reviewed the outcome of studies conducted over the past four months to consider applications submitted by unlicensed churches aiming to legalize their status.

Meanwhile,
...back at the chili cook-off, Chuck slipped the habañero into the roasted jalapeño...
the premier issued strict instructions to all governors to take all measures necessary to ensure that the newly legalized churches and service buildings are only used for performing religious rituals
What else would they be used for? At first glance this appears to offer the local authorities an opportunity to hassle newly legalized Christian congregations. One most sincerely hopes that the locals far from Cairo don’t take advantage of the possibility.

Britain
British woman who fought ISIS to be featured in documentary
[Jpost] Late British fighter Anna Campbell stands at the center of a new BBC documentary, which will include segments from her recently discovered personal diary, The Sun reported on Sunday.

Her father, musician Dirk Campbell, was given the diary of his daughter when he went to Syria.

Anna Campbell was an activist in several groups, including the Anarchist Black Cross,
... according to their website, “London Anarchist Black Cross is a collective set up with the aim of supporting prisoners: political prisoners, people in detention centers or just people fucked over by the capitalist system,” which apparently also includes those who committed illegal activities in the furtherance of revolutionary aims...
and joined the international section of the Kurdish Women’s Protection Units [YPJ] and fought for the defense of Rojava, a mostly Kurdish autonomous zone in northern Syria. She was killed near Afrin by a Ottoman Turkish missile. She was the first British woman to die in the conflict.

The Kurdish army in the area fought against ISIS, the regime of Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Before going into the family business Pencilneck was an eye doctor. If he'd stuck with it he'd have had a good practice by now...
, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...Qatar's colony in Asia Minor...
, and other Syrian rebel groups.

"Anna was very idealistic, very serious, very wholehearted and wanted to create a better world," her father said at the time according to The Guardian.

According to the recently found diary, she was given the chance to stay and teach at the International Academy but opted to take part in the fighting.

Rojava, which is the first attempt to create a free society based on anarchistic and communal principles since the fall of revolutionary Catalonia in 1938 during the Spanish Civil War, had gained some attention among scholars and Western anarchists who joined the fighting.

Autonomous since 2012, Rojava is inspired by PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan who was influenced by the works of Jewish-American anarchist and ecologist Murray Bookchin, which he read while in Ottoman Turkish prison.

One of the principles of Rojava is that women enjoy full equality and are well represented in all administrative units. The other is that while the PKK party aspires for Kurdish liberation, the region includes and welcomes not only Kurds but anyone who wants to live in a free society.

Desperate migrant men are 'attempting to buy children off destitute Mexican mothers for $350 to speed up their asylum process at the border'
[MAIL] Portillo Cruz, whose sons are aged eight and 10, said that no offers were made to her but she fears the requests could very possibly turn into kidnappings if the mothers don't accept the terms.

'They want to rob our kids so they can cross into the United States,' she added.

News of such tactic being employed by human traffickers in the vicinity of the shelter prompted pastor Gustavo Banda to beef up the security measures and chain down the entrance gate to the church.

'These are cases of desperation,' Banda said.

'Of course, the women have not accepted any of these offers, but clearly this is a huge concern because of the danger to the children.'

A 15-year-old migrant from Haiti told the San Diego Union-Tribune of the moment she saw men visiting the shelter offering to buy children.

'I could not even imagine the horror before I came here,' she said.

#6  Yes, the left can do some great philosophical contortions when it suits them. Human trafficking is a problem white people still need to feel guilty about (whether their ancestors were involved or not) when it was called slavery in the 1600-1800s and involved blacks being brought to America. Guatemalan or Salvadorean brown chilluns bought / sold and brought to America for whatever purposes? No problem at all. Any color person being bought / sold by muzz anywhere? Whether to do manual labor or be sexual slaves? No problem at all. And the left expects me to feel guilt?

Libyan hacker used Facebook to access tens of thousands of users’ data
[IsraelTimes] ’It is the largest malware campaign over Facebook that has ever been discovered,’ Check Point threat intelligence chief says; FB has removed fake pages and malicious links.

In one of the largest malware campaigns discovered to date using the social media platform Facebook, a suspected Libyan hacker managed to access the private information of tens of thousands of victims by causing them to click on links and files posted on both fake and legitimate pages and groups on the platform, researchers at Israeli cybersecurity firm Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. said.

"It is the largest malware campaign over Facebook that has ever been discovered," said Lotem Finkelstein, who heads the threat intelligence desk at Check Point in Tel Aviv, in a phone interview. The campaign apparently aimed at both political and financial gain, he said. The victims were mainly from Libya, with some from Europe

Netherlands probes 'terrorist motive' in Utrecht shooting
[DW] The suspect has confessed to opening fire and killing four people on a tram in the Dutch city. Prosecutors have revealed the contents of a letter written by the suspect in which he admits to "doing this for my religion."

Dutch prosecutors on Monday said they are investigating a "terrorist motive" in a deadly tram shooting in Utrecht.
They would have known on the first day, if they read Rantburg...
The main suspect, Gokmen T.,
...that’d be known wolf Gokmen Tanis, 37, who was only out of jail for two weeks when he suddenly decided it would be a good idea to run amok with a *gasp* gun...
confessed to the shooting on Monday, saying: "I am not a suspect, I pleaded guilty to the crime."

Gokmen is suspected of boarding a tram and opening fire on passengers in March, killing four people and wounding two others. He was arrested shortly after the shooting.

Prosecutors said they discovered a handwritten letter in an alleged getaway vehicle near the scene of the crime.

"I'm doing this for my religion, you kill Moslems and you want to take our religion away from us, but you won't succeed. God is great," the Dutch-language letter said.

Dutch prosecutors said that while the main suspect was a "difficult person" given his criminal past, they had yet to uncover clues to indicate he had previously considered a "terrible deed such as the one he is now suspected of."

Gokmen is due back in court later this month in a separate case stemming from rape charges. The Utrecht shooting trial is scheduled to start next year.

From threats to attempted murder, aggravated assault to rape and he's walking free with deadly weapons blatantly claiming his motives. And they're investigating clues. NAB arrests Zardari in Park Lane case as well
[DAILYTIMES.PK] Former President and Pakistain People’s Party (PPP) supremo Asif Ali Ten Percent Zardari
... husband of the late Benazir Bhutto, who has been singularly lacking in curiosity about who done her in ...
was arrested in the Park Lane case as well on Monday after National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal approved his warrants in the case.

The former president is already in the NAB detention in the fake bank accounts case after his bail was rejected by the Islamabad High Court last month.

NAB has accused the former president of purchasing 2,460 kanal land in a posh locality in Islamabad through Park Lane Estate (Pvt) Ltd in March 2009. In 1997, the NAB had dropped a case against Zardari pertaining to the same property over lack of evidence. The property worth Rs 2 billion was acquired in Rs 620 million, NAB sources said.

The former president is likely to be presented before an accountability court on Tuesday.

In June, the NAB had arrested Zardari from the federal capital in the fake bank accounts case which pertains to transactions worth over Rs 35 billion to the private companies allegedly through fake bank accounts.

NAB Sherlocks are of the view that if Zardari’s physical remand, which ends today, is not extended by the court, they will require another option and can use the arrest warrants in the Park Lane case to keep him in NAB custody for longer.

On June 26, Zardari had withdrawn his bail applications in three cases saying he knew why he was suffering and ’does not want to embarrass anyone’.

Iraq wants Shia militias as ‘indivisible’ part of army by July 31, militia headquarters closed, Tater withdraws
[PRESSTV] Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi has issued a decree that further integrates the Popular Mobilization Forces, which have proven a decisive force in Baghdad’s counter-terrorism operations, into the country's armed forces.

"In the interest of the public good and as per the powers granted to us by the constitution...the following is decreed: All Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) are to operate as an indivisible part of the armed forces and be subject to the same regulations," read the decree, which was issued on Monday, AFP reported.

...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
terror group of ISIS launched a campaign of bloodshed and destruction against the nation.

They effectively contributed to the country’s anti-terror struggle, especially in liberation of ISIS-held areas lying to the south, northeast, and north of the capital. The combined push -- reinforced by Iraq’s allies, including Iran, which has been lending military advisory support to the Iraqi military -- led to ISIS’s expulsion in late 2017.

This prompted Abdul Mahdi’s predecessor Haider al-Abadi to order the PMU’s formal inclusion in the Arab country's security forces last March. That order granted the PMU many of the same rights as members of the military.
Rudaw adds:
A July 31 deadline has been set for all Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF, known as Hashd al-Shaabi in Arabic) paramilitaries to integrate into the Iraqi army, said the Iraqi Prime Minister in a statement on Monday, reining them in to centralized control.

Formally incorporated into Iraq’s armed forces back in 2016 following a parliament bill, the forces will work under the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi armed forces - the Prime Minister - and Falih Fayadh, current National Security advisor and head of the Hashd al-Shaabi Commission, an authority to oversee the groups who was appointed by the PM.

The almost entirely Shiite PMF paramilitaries were formed in 2014 based on a fatwa (religious decree) by Ayatollah Sistani, the highest Shiite authority in Iraq, as Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) began looming uncomfortably close to Baghdad.

While many of the PMFs soldiers are individuals who responded to the threat of ISIS, many had fought against US forces during its occupation of Iraq, while some received Iranian training and funding.

Each paramilitary group has its own name, with the most known among them including Asaib Ahl al-Haq, Badr Corps, and Hezbollah Iraq.

"All other names under which the factions of Hashd al-Shaabi operated during the heroic battles that eradicated the ISIS terrorist entity will be abandoned and replaced with military terms (division, brigade, regiment, et cetera)," said the decree, while PMF members will also adopt military rankings.

Implementation of the decree looks less than certain, though, considering the extensive political influence of PMF groups.

In Iraq’s May 12, 2018 elections, a newly-formed coalition, named the Fath Alliance, won the second highest number of seats in the Iraqi parliament. The Alliance was composed of parties who each possessed their own PMF faction. Abdul-Mahdi’s decree seeks to sever these political ties "on an individual or organizational level."

With PMF soldiers training in centralized Iraqi military barracks, bases belonging to any faction of the PMF will be shut down, while all checkpoints, "economic offices" or interests outside the "new working framework" will be closed, the PM added.

Forces who choose not to integrate may "transform" into a political party, but they will not be allowed to carry weapons for any reason other than the protection of its offices, according to the decree.

Abdul-Mahdi has been under pressure to curb the actions of Iran-affiliated groups after a spate of rocket attacks against US military and economic targets in Iraq, with attacks carried out on ExxonMobil’s Basra headquarters and military camps where US troops are stationed, as well as a near-miss attack against the US embassy in Baghdad. Additionally, a May 14 attack on US ally Soddy Arabia

Salih affirms need to sustain victories of Iraqi army, backing forces
[THEBAGHDADPOST] President Barham Salih stressed the importance of sustaining the momentum of the victories achieved by the Iraqi army and its backing forces including the Peshmerga, besides the sons of tribes against ISIS’ gangs.

During his meeting with newly-appointed Minister of Defense Najah al-Shammari on Sunday, Salih praised the military achievements in the war on terrorism, a presidential statement read.

The president welcomed the minister and wished him success in performing his new tasks.

President Salih affirmed the need to care about the army in preparation and armament in order to promote its sacred role in addressing those who try to undermine Iraq’s illusory sovereignty and stability.

Military operation to be carried out west of Anbar: Commander
[THEBAGHDADPOST] A military operation, backed by Army Aviation, will be launched by the Anbar Operations Command to pursue terrorists, west of Anbar.

"Some areas witnessed notable movements of the ISIS terrorists. The operation aims to address the targets according to the plan prepared by Anbar Operations Command," Qassim Moslih, the Commander, said in a press statement.

"The operation will cover western Ramadi desert (the areas of Saad, Ras al-Ajarmy, Ras al-Oud, Ras al-Nesr, Nazira, Husseineya, Zur Huran and others)," Moslih added.

Those areas, according to Moslih, witness noticeable movement of terrorists. Securing these areas "will positively affect the security situation for the west of the country."

Targeting Bahraini Embassy: Iranian warning message to Iraqi leaders
[THEBAGHDADPOST] Iraqi Hezbollah militia has targeted the Bahraini Embassy in Baghdad as a warning to the Iraqi government if any of its leaders tried to drift away from the agenda of Tehran.

The attack on the Bahraini embassy is part of this challenge. The attack did not mean Bahrain for hosting the "Peace to Prosperity" workshop, as Paleostine means nothing for the Lions of Islam who attacked the embassy.

The terrorist attack was led by Abu Talib al-Saidi, an Iraqi terrorist who has been a member of Hezbollah's political bureau since the entry of exiled Iraqis into Iran. Since 2003, they have formed several factions armed by Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and have been working separately. However,
Switzerland makes more than cheese...
their terrorist attacks were directed into American targets.

Subsequently, these factions succeeded in 2007 to merge and form what has been known as Kata'ib Hezbollah. This alliance included the Brigade of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, the Karbala Brigades, the Zaid bin Ali Brigades, Ali al-Akbar Brigades and al-Sojjad Brigades.

Each of these battalions had operated independently, while not knowing nothing about the other until they announced allying with each other and fighting under one name, according to a statement issued by the brigades in 2007.

Observers stressed that the Iraqi leaders are facing a clear Iranian strategy to target the Iraqi state, illusory sovereignty and resources. Tehran regime considers Iraq a soft land that it can use to eliminate its enemies on, including the United States and the Gulf states, as well as the Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
an countries.

Observers wondered, can the Iraqi government do anything to prevent Iran from misusing its territory? Obeying Iran will definitely end up damaging the Iraqi government and state.

Iraq on Friday denounced an "attack" by protesters on the embassy of Bahrain that prompted Manama to recall its ambassador from Baghdad, AFP reported.

On Thursday around 200 protesters torched Israeli flags outside theBahrain embassy in Baghdad and hoisted Iraqi and Paleostinian flags.

Jaafar al-Husseini, an official with Iran-backed Kata'ib Hezbollah says members of his group comprised the majority of protesters outside the Bahrain embassy in the Iraqi capital that was attacked this week. But he says he doesn't know who stormed the mission.

However,
Switzerland makes more than cheese...
he said that storming the embassy was a "natural right for the protesters" to express their anger over Bahrain's hosting of a US-backed conference to promote peace between Arabs and Israelis.

The White House plan revealed last week calls for $50 billion in investment over 10 years in the Paleostinian territories and their Arab neighbors.

"It is out of the question for us to approach this issue positively," Erdogan told journalists on Monday aboard his plane returning from the G-20 summit in Japan, according to pro-government daily Yeni Safak.

Trump’s administration has hinted that its political plan, which will follow the economic one and is due later in the year, will not mention a Paleostinian state.

The Paleostinian Authority and its rival Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", have both denounced the economic initiative, saying it amounts to a bid by the unabashedly pro-’Israel’ Trump to buy off their demands for an independent state.

Erdogan has presented himself in the last years is a vocal advocate of the Paleostinian cause, and strongly opposed the US decision to move its Israeli embassy to al-Quds (Jerusalem) last year.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Leb. Army Demolishes Syrian Refugee Shelters as Ultimatum Expires
[AnNahar] The Lebanese Army started destroying Syrian refugee settlements in northeast Leb Monday after the expiry of a government ultimatum, officials said, as aid groups warned of more demolitions in the coming days.

Keen not to encourage Syrians to settle permanently, the government had given refugees in the village of Arsal until July 1 to demolish shelters made of other materials than timber and plastic sheeting, which it considers illegal.

"At 4:30 am on July 1, military units moved into several camps in Arsal and demolished at least 20 homes," said a joint statement by seven aid groups, including Save the Children, the Norwegian Refugee Council, and Oxfam.

"We fear that this is the start and more demolitions will take place tomorrow," it added.

An estimated 15,000 people, including at least 7,500 children, would be affected by the demolitions which would impact up to 3,000 units, the aid groups said.

A Lebanese security source confirmed to the AFP news agency that demolitions have started but said that only four empty concrete houses had been destroyed.

The head of the Arsal municipality, Bassel al-Hujeiri, added that Monday's demolitions were very "limited" and impacted only homes made almost completely out of cement.

The move, he said, "serves as a warning for remaining refugees who have yet to comply with the army's decision."

The government's ultimatum had prompted refugees to destroy their own homes in the weeks leading up to the deadline.

As of June 27, less than half of the hard shelters in Arsal had been demolished by their inhabitants, the aid groups said in Monday's statement.

They also urged authorities "to give alternatives to refugees, allow them to retain their personal belongings and give them more time to place their families in safety" before carrying out more demolitions.

Leb, a country of some four million people, hosts between 1.5 and two million Syrians on its soil after they fled the eight-year civil war next door.

Nearly a million of these are registered as refugees with the United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
High Commission for Refugees.

Leb allows only informal camps to prevent the permanent settlements of Syrian refugees, who politicians and part of the Lebanese population blame for a string of economic woes.

Rights groups, including Amnesia Amnesty International, have warned that Leb is using restrictive measures such as evictions, curfews and raids to encourage repatriation.

This Iranian Commander Kept Secret That Israeli F-35 Stealth Fighters Had Violated Iran Airspace
[NationalInterest] Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) commander Brigadier General Farzad Ismaili, who had been in office since 2010, has been fired by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei after he kept secret that Israeli Air Force (IAF) F-35 stealth fighters had violated Iran’s airspace, the Kuwaiti daily Al Jarida reported on Saturday.
Well at least he wasn't executed with an AA gun.
The newspaper emphasized that it was the original media source that exposed the Israeli raids, which had taken place in March 2018. Al Jarida cited senior Iranian military who said that only following its March report did the intelligence services of the Revolutionary Guards and the Iranian intelligence ministry begin to investigate the case, under Khamenei's direct orders.

According to the newspaper's investigation, "the IAF F-35 "Adir" planes penetrated Iran's airspace, circled high above Tehran, Karajrak, Isfahan, Shiraz and Bandar Abbas ‐ and photographed Iran's air defense system."
Talk about extreme and deep penetration... of enemy air defense!
One of the sources reported that Iran's air defense system, including its Russian radar, did not detect the entry and exit of the fighter planes, and that Ismaili hid this information from the supreme leader to cover his service failure. However Iranian intelligence discovered that the Israeli fighter jets had carried out this sortie as a test of the possibility of an undetected attack on Iranian outposts and bases, during which they photographed those sensitive bases, evading the Russian S-300 missile system's radar.
More egg on Russia's face over their supposed awesome air defense system.
According to Al Jarida, Iranian intelligence received top secret information that the Israeli fighter planes even managed to photograph Iran's underground bases. Khamenei, who received this information, now suspects a cooperation between Russia and Israel, and that the Russians gave Israel the secret code of the Russian radar in Iran ‐ according to the Kuwaiti newspaper.

Khamenei fired the commander of Iran's air defense system on May 29, replacing him with his deputy, General Alireza Sabahi-Fard.
I'll guarantee the US and Israel are trading tactical data over the air defense systems hot and heavy. I remember how the S-300/400/500 series were supposed to rendering everything we had obsolete and keep us from hitting anything. Looks like it was just more Russian/Iranian bluster than anything else.

He said that "if they (the Americans) had predicted their attack would be successful, they would not have cancelled it and it would definitely have happened." He added that the US president’s advisors could see the failure of the attack.

The senior Iranian politician added that Iran’s power has created deterrence, adding that all the 36 US military bases in the region are under Iran’s surveillance.

He further described Trump as a businessman who only cares about money and is not man of war.

Zonnor went on to describe Iran’s power as devastating, underlining that "if the US attacks us, only half an hour will remain of Israel’s lifespan."

He further noted that Iran is ready for any aggression while it does not intend to attack any country.

It’s official: Iran violates nuclear deal, exceeds 300 kg limit on enriched uranium
[Jpost] Iran's enriched uranium stockpile exceeded the 300 kg limit set by the nuclear deal on Monday, according to the Iranian Fars news agency. This constitutes a direction violation of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the nuclear pact the world superpowers reached with Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
in 2015.

An Iranian source told Fars on Monday that the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency found that the enriched uranium exceeded the ceiling of 300 kg.

Under the deal, Iran was prohibited from accumulating more than 300 kilograms of enriched uranium to the 3.67% level and from enriching uranium beyond that level, such as to the 20% level it had done before the deal.

"We are aware of the media reports related to Iran's stockpile of low-enriched uranium (LEU)," an ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency front man said, according to Rooters. "Our inspectors are on the ground and they will report to headquarters as soon as the LEU stockpile has been verified."

Earlier on Monday, Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
Majid Takht Ravanchi said that "if nothing happens in the next 10 days," Iran would start the second phase of increasing its stockpile of enriched uranium to an amount higher than the amount before the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear deal was implemented in July 2015, according to Fars.

Ravanchi added that Iran has announced the elements of the second phase for modifying its nuclear deal undertakings.

"The Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran will firmly continue its move to decrease the nuclear deal undertakings and to this end will soon take the first step and pass the ceiling of 300kg of enriched uranium," said a source to the Persian-language Khorassan newspaper, according to Fars.

In May, Iran set a 60 day ultimatum which ends on July 16 for remaining members of the nuclear deal to fulfill bank and oil commitments towards Iran, according to Fars. This opportunity will not be extended according to Iranian authorities.

The United States withdrew from the pact last year under which Iran accepted curbs on its nuclear programme in return for access to international trade. Iran has said it wants to abide by the agreement but cannot do so indefinitely as new US sanctions mean it is receiving none of the benefits.

"Our sanctions do not give Iran the right to accelerate its nuclear programme," US envoy Hook said in an interview before talks with Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
an officials. "It can never get near a nuclear bomb. We are looking very closely at that so it doesn't get below the one year nuclear breakout time."

La Belle France, Britannia and Germany have sent an official diplomatic warning to Iran if Tehran reduces its compliance with the accord, two European diplomats said in June.

It was not immediately clear what consequences Iran might face for non-compliance.
