Ministry of Public Health announced the launch of the sub-national polio ...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set. Currently the disease is only found in Pakistain and Afghanistain... vaccination campaign on Monday in 22 provinces across Afghanistan.
The polio vaccination campaign officially started on Monday, October 17, with support from international organizations, according to the Taliban health ministry, and it will continue for another four days.
This campaign is targeted at 144 districts in 22 different Afghan provinces, with a focus on the southern, southeastern, eastern, northern, western, and central provinces where there is a higher risk of the poliovirus spreading.
The Ministry of Public Health said that more than six rounds of national campaigns and one round of sub-national campaigns have been carried out in Afghanistan this year.
The ministry has highlighted that organizing these campaigns had a positive impact on reducing the spread of the polio virus.
According to a statement by the ministry, two confirmed cases of polio have been reported from the provinces of Paktika ...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo... and Kunar in eastern and southeastern Afghanistan since the year’s beginning, even though Afghanistan is now closer to eradicating the life-threatening virus than at any other time.
This polio vaccination campaign has been started in collaboration between the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations ...an idea whose time has gone... International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF).
To protect their children from developing permanent paralysis, UNICEF has urged all parents to vaccinate their children.
Polio has been completely eradicated worldwide, with the exception of Afghanistan and Pakistain.
Only vaccinations can stop the serious, incurable viral disease of polio. Children with the condition are permanently disabled.

Protesters gathered in Vienna, Austria’s capital, on October 16th to call for an end to the Hazara genocide in Afghanistan. The demonstrators also kept screaming anti-Taliban ...Arabic for students... chants. A member of the Austrian parliament, Harald Troch, also joined the protesters and offered his support.
Meanwhile, ...back at the chili cook-off, Chuck slipped the habañero into the roasted jalapeño... a large crowd of Afghan citizens protested against the Hazara genocide in Seoul, the capital city of South Korea.
On the same day, Hazara protests took place in Turkey, La Belle France, the Netherlands, the US, and Scotland. Over the past eight days, beginning on October 8, Hazara protests have continued all over the world.
Parallel to the global protests, a Twitter campaign also grew popular in protest to the atrocities committed against the Hazara ethnic group in Afghanistan. The campaign hashtag, "#StopHazaraGenocide" has been tweeted over 12 million times.
These protests, which are unprecedented both in terms of their kind and from the perspective of Afghan citizens, have already begun in more than 100 cities around the world.
About 60 students—mostly girls—were killed and 114 others were maimed in the earth-shattering kaboom attack on the Kaaj education center. The protestors claim that Hazaras are not safe anywhere.
According to the protestors, the recent attack that took place in the Hazara neighborhood of Kabul is an egregious example of the "genocide" against Hazaras.
Sounds like they need more Islam.
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] As more Afghans are compelled to live on the streets and struggle to find food, the International Committee of the Red Thingy stated that there is an increasing need for humanitarian aid in Afghanistan.
Millions of people in Afghanistan, including widows and orphans, have reportedly been forced to scavenge for food on the streets, according to the committee’s findings.
The Red Thingy International has appealed to the international community for stepping up assistance to the destitute and in-need people of Afghanistan.
The Japanese Embassy in Kabul announced on Sunday that Japan has pledged to donate 5.5 million dollars in aid to Afghanistan’s health sector.

With the Taliban sitting atop the Afghan government, the already-precarious economy of Afghanistan which heavily relied on and still continues to rely on foreign aid was strongly disturbed by the international sanctions on the Taliban.

One member is accused of using digital currency to launder money for the group.
Along with the Treasury sanctions, the State Department on Monday designated five al-Shabaab leaders for diplomatic penalties.
"Treasury is focused on identifying and disrupting al-Shabaab’s illicit networks operating in Eastern Africa," said Brian E. Nelson, Treasury Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence.
"We will continue to take action against the weapons smuggling and fundraising activities of al-Shabaab and other al-Qaeda affiliates."

"But it is also clear that the competing priorities for global attention - Ukraine, famine in East Africa, trauma in Afghanistan - are draining attention in a way that is quite dangerous."
More than 80% of those who have left Venezuela are living in Latin America and the Caribbean, in countries which often already struggle to provide health and education to their own nationals.

[ToloNews] Germany has started a new programme to admit Afghans deemed most at risk following last year's Islamic Emirate takeover in Kabul, the interior and foreign ministries said on Monday.
Berlin has pledged to take in around 38,000 Afghans particularly at risk, and some 26,000 people have already arrived in Germany.
The new programme will admit 1,000 Afghans per month and their family members. It targets particularly exposed Afghans who are active in women's and human rights One man's rights are another man's existential threat. advocacy or those at risk for working in the fields of justice, politics, media, education, culture, sport or science.
Afghans who have experienced violence or persecution because of their gender, sexual orientation or religion can also benefit from the programme.
"Based on defined admission criteria, we can offer protection to particularly endangered and vulnerable people from Afghanistan," Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said in a statement.
Germany will cooperate with civil society organizations to select and reach the targeted groups. The government plans to run the programme until the end of the legislative period in October 2025.
Berlin has not recognized the Islamic Emirate as a legitimate government since they took over Afghanistan in August 2021 as U.S.-backed foreign forces withdrew after two decades of war.
Compared to other EU member states, Germany has admitted by far the largest number of Afghan former local employees and other particularly vulnerable Afghans.
