Bari Weiss: Is Campus Rage Fueled by Middle Eastern Money?
[The Free Press] According to a new report, at least 200 American colleges and universities illegally withheld information on approximately $13 billion in undisclosed contributions from foreign regimes.

Since Hamas’s October 7 massacre, it has been hard to miss the explosion of antisemitic hate that has gripped college campuses across the country. At Cornell, a student posted a call "to follow [Jews] home and slit their throats," and a professor said the terror attack "energized" and "exhilarated" him. At Harvard, a mob of students besieged an Israeli student, surrounding him as they bellowed "shame, shame, shame." At dozens of other campuses, students gathered to celebrate Hamas.

The response from school administrations has been alarming. With few exceptions, in the immediate aftermath of October 7, university presidents issued equivocal statements about the initial attack. Some professors even celebrated it. And the focus on the part of administration bureaucrats has been on protecting the students tearing down posters and being shamed for doing so.

Where did all of this hatred come from is a question worth pondering. As Rachel Fish and others have documented, for several decades a toxic worldview—morally relativist, anti-Israel, and anti-American—has been incubating in "area studies" departments and social theory programs at elite universities. Whole narratives have been constructed to dehumanize Israelis and brand Israel as a "white, colonial project" to be "resisted." The students you see in the videos circulating online have been marinating in this ideology, which can be defined best by what it’s against: everything Western.

Many are rightly questioning how it got this bad. How did university leaders come to eulogize, rather than put a stop to, campus hate rallies and antisemitic intimidation? Why are campus leaders now papering over antisemitism? How could institutions supposedly committed to liberal values be such hotbeds of antisemitism and anti-Israel activism?

In large part, it is a story of the power of ideas—in this case, terrible ones—and how rapidly they can spread. But it is also a story of an influence campaign by actors far outside of the university campus aimed at pouring fuel on a fire already raging inside.

Britain
Activist for Black Lives Matter sentenced to over two years for fraud
[LawEnforcementToday] Given how DC types want to be like the EU, maybe they'll have DOJ start locking up our own BLM/ANTI-FA Riot organizing $$$$$ milkers
LONDON – A Black Lives Matter activist has found herself sentenced to prison after raising roughly $39,000 which she used to pay for her lifestyle. The woman will serve just over two years in prison and has resigned from her post with a nonprofit which is now defunct.

Xahra Saleem was once the director of a nonprofit, Changing Your Mindset, until recently when she found herself in trouble for funneling thousands of dollars meant to go to the disadvantaged youth in Bristol into her own bank account. Saleem, in addition to being the director of the nonprofit, was an organizer for Black Lives Matter during a protest in June of 2020.

Instead of using the money that was raised to help the children in Bristol, Saleem used the money to purchase a new iPhone, Amazon orders, taxis, beauty appointments, among other things.

The money that was meant for children went to furnish Saleem’s lavish lifestyle thanks to moving the cash raised into her personal account instead of opening a business account.

According to the BBC, Saleem admitted to a friend of hers on WhatsApp that she had done something “horrendous” in June of 2021.

“I have done something horrendous, you can’t tell anyone until I have properly sorted it out,” she told the friend.

She also allegedly told others that she had intended to turn herself in to law enforcement when it became apparent she was going to be caught. However, that never came to pass.

20 Azerbaijani officials accused of war crimes
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] About 20 Azerbaijani officials are involved in a criminal case for war crimes against Armenians, including the former press secretary of the Karabakh football club Nurlan Ibragimov, a representative of the Investigative Committee of Armenia told the Caucasian Knot.

The "Caucasian Knot" wrote that the head of the press service of the Azerbaijani football club "Karabakh" Nurlan Ibragimov publicly called for violence against Armenians during the 2020 Karabakh war. The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) permanently banned him from all activities related to professional football. “Karabakh” was fined 100 thousand euros for calls to violence against Armenians. The Karabakh leadership assured that it does not share Ibragimov’s position and promised to punish him. At the same time, the club noted that Ibragimov wrote an angry, emotional post calling for violence, as he received psychological trauma.

About 20 representatives of the military-political and army leadership of Azerbaijan have been charged with committing war crimes, spokesman for the Investigative Committee of Armenia Gor Abrahamyan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to him, a general criminal case was opened after the 44-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh, and charges were brought against them as part of this case. In the interests of the preliminary investigation, as Abrahamyan noted, the Investigative Committee does not consider it appropriate to name the names of the accused. “The charges are related to war crimes, in particular, to military aggression against both Artsakh ( the self-name of Nagorno-Karabakh - note of the Caucasian Knot ) and Armenia, to gross violations of humanitarian law, to the murders and torture of Armenian military and civilians, with the involvement of international terrorists,” noted Gor Abrahamyan.

Among the accused is the press secretary of the Azerbaijani football club "Karabakh" Nurlan Ibragimov in connection with public calls for the genocide of the Armenian people made during the 44-day war in 2020, as well as justification of war crimes committed.

The Investigative Committee of Armenia put Nurlan Ibragimov on the wanted list in November 2020, and a criminal case was opened against him under Articles 226, 393.1 and 373.1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (provoking national, racial or religious hatred, public calls for genocide, as well as justification, mitigation or approval of genocide and other crimes against the peace and security of mankind). A petition for his detention was submitted to the Yerevan Court of First Instance.

A criminal case has also been opened regarding crimes committed by Azerbaijan after the 44-day war. An investigation is underway, following which a legal assessment will be given, Abrahamyan said.

The Grand Turk
Türkiye denies data on agreement to accept a million Palestinians
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Turkish presidential administration said that reports of certain “agreements” between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept a million Palestinian refugees in Turkey are fabricated. A refutation message was published by the Center for Combating Disinformation of the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidential Administration.

“A message circulated on some social networks citing Netanyahu’s statement: “We have agreed with Erdogan that 1 million Palestinians will become Turkish citizens and live in Turkey in exchange for two billion dollars,” is not true. There were no negotiations by our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, nor such a statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. These allegations are completely fabricated ,” the department said in a statement.

Earlier, some opposition Turkish media and social networks circulated reports that Erdogan had agreed to accept up to a million Palestinians into Turkey in exchange for money.

Prior to this, Israeli authorities admitted that the government was considering the option of mass relocation of residents of the Gaza Strip to Egypt. Thus, according to the Associated Press, the Israeli Ministry of Intelligence has developed a plan to resettle 2.3 million Gazans to the Sinai Peninsula. According to the plan, the population of Gaza was to be resettled in northern Sinai. The ministry called this scenario the most desirable for Israel's security. In Israel, the plan's authors proposed creating a security zone to block displaced Palestinians from entering the country. The report did not say what would happen to Gaza after the residents were evicted. After information about this plan emerged, both Palestine and Egypt expressed outrage.

As Regnum reported, the Hürriyet newspaper previously reported that Erdogan, after the actions of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the Gaza Strip, stopped perceiving Netanyahu as his interlocutor. According to the newspaper, the Turkish president also accused the Israeli prime minister of involvement in the massacres and attempts to justify them using religious arguments. Erdogan believes that Netanyahu has lost the support of his people because of his actions.
All credit to the anti-Bibi/ anti-judicial overhaul protesters who just pivoted to protesting about the Hamas hostages — though at least they are no longer encouraging IDF reservists to refuse to serve. And fair credit to the protesters’ paymasters in the US State Department and the various foundations funded by a variety Progressive tech multi-billionaires and their little friends.

Government Corruption
US Senate rejects an aid package for Israel separately from Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Representatives of the Democratic Party in the US Senate blocked the Republican proposal to provide assistance to Israel without Ukraine, Reuters reported on November 7.
The Senate Democrats as a group don’t care about Israel, though a number of them individually profess to care a great deal. On the other hand, that’s the only leverage they have to get their Ukraine wishlist passed.
“Democrats blocked a Republican attempt to secure quick approval of an emergency aid bill for Israel that passed the House last week but does not provide any aid to Ukraine,” the article said.

Democrats opposed the adoption of the document, while insisting on providing assistance not only to Israel, but also to Ukraine.

It is noted that senators are preparing their bill on additional funding and hope to present it this week.

As Regnum reported , the heads of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Defense and US Secretary of State Janet Yellen , Lloyd Austin and Antony Blinken called on Congress to approve budget assistance to Kiev for $11.8 billion. In their opinion, supposedly direct budgetary support is necessary for Kyiv so that the economy and government can function and Ukraine “succeeds on the battlefield.”
With the new guy installed as Speaker of the House, this will be a good test of his character.
Zelensky’s office said that Kiev did not receive the promised Western weapons in full. At the same time, Ukraine cannot influence the volume of supplies of Western weapons, since this depends on manufacturers, the leadership of partner countries and logistics.

From the point of view of ex-US Army USMC intelligence officer Scott Ritter , Ukraine has turned into ballast for the United States, which they will throw off at the right moment.
If you’re going to believe Scott Ritter, whose shining resumé has been so badly tarnished by his private choices...
Ritter has gone completely around the bend over Israel.
The Americans will flee Ukraine, as happened with Afghanistan, after which the country will collapse, and when the need arises to normalize relations between Western countries and Russia, Washington will simply forget about Kiev, he said.

House censures Rashida Tlaib over anti-Israel comments
[Washington Examiner] The House censured Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) over her pro-Palestinian comments concerning the conflict in Israel, making her the second Democratic lawmaker this year to be condemned by her colleagues.

Lawmakers voted 234-188 to censure Tlaib, punishing the Michigan Democrat for "promoting false narratives" about the Oct. 7 attack against Israel by the Hamas militant group and allegedly calling for the "destruction of the state of Israel." The resolution passed after 22 Democrats joined nearly all Republicans in supporting the measure, overcoming opposition that stalled a similar motion to censure Tlaib last week. Only four Republicans voted against the measure.

Rep. Rich McCormick (R-GA) filed the motion on Monday, pushing for a censure resolution that would punish Tlaib for her comments while maintaining her First Amendment rights. The latter portion comes after 23 Republicans joined all Democrats in tabling a similar resolution last week offered by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), citing concerns with the bill’s language.

Democrats attempted to table the motion a second time on Tuesday, but that effort failed, teeing the resolution up for a final vote. The House was initially scheduled to vote on the full resolution on Wednesday, but House leaders later expedited its passage to move the vote to Tuesday night in a blow to Greene, who was originally scheduled to have a vote on her own censure resolution the same night.

Home Front: WoT
George Soros’ Open Society Foundations Plays Dumb on Funding Radical Pro-Hamas Groups
[mrcNewsBusters] Leftist billionaire George Soros’ Open Society Foundations finally released a statement condemning Hamas’ hellish attacks on Israel nearly three-and-a-half weeks after the Oct. 7 massacre. However, it did so while trying to make believe that the fortune it funneled into groups championing Hamas' barbarism didn’t exist.

The OSF Fact Sheet, “The Open Society Foundations in Israel and Palestine,” which supplemented the organization's Nov. 1 press release on Hamas, attempted to equivocate the conflict involving the Jewish state and the terrorist organization as a territorial dispute between Israel and “Occupied Palestinian Territories.” OSF flexed its decades-long bona fides of “proudly support[ing] efforts” to “contain escalating violence between state and non-state actors on both sides.” OSF had the audacity to claim that “[a]ll the groups we support are committed to nonviolence and adhere to the principle that human rights and safety should be enjoyed by Israelis and Palestinians alike, both currently and in whatever political solution eventually emerges in the region.” But this statement is demonstrably false. [Emphasis added.]

The MRC has shown that OSF has given to numerous pro-Hamas groups. The sordid list includes, but is not limited to: Al-Shabaka, the Middle East Children’s Alliance, the Palestinian Institute for Public Diplomacy and Dream Defenders, among others. Not only that, but Soros himself even called for the United States and Israel to embrace Hamas.

Two questions arise: Why would OSF feel the need to release a statement three and a half weeks after the Oct. 7 massacre? And why would it attempt to undercut its own record of funding pro-Hamas organizations?

MRC Business Vice President Dan Schneider said in a statement that this has everything to do with OSF positioning itself ahead of the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

“Alex and George Soros are playing the same card that the left always does: They say one thing while doing something else,” Schneider rebuked. “Their money is still backing the radical pro-Hamas organizations that seek the destruction of Israel, but their words are communicating something different. They’re creating a narrative specifically for left-wing activists to understand they’ve got to publicly back off of these radical pro-Hamas statements as we approach the 2024 presidential election just one year away.”

Schneider analyzed how Biden’s poll numbers “have tanked — Democrats generally are in trouble because of the far-left’s radical pro-Hamas statements denigrating the state of Israel.” He continued: “You’re going to see more and more hard-left people, politicians and organizations publicly pulling back while continuing behind the scenes to pursue a radical anti-Israel agenda. This is all about winning the 2024 race so they could continue to radicalize the world.”

MRC Business released bombshell reports exposing Soros’ history of funding pro-Hamas groups for years after the terrorist organization launched its genocidal attacks on the state of Israel Oct. 7, 2023. MRC was also the first to resurface Soros’ 2007 op-ed that revealed his disdain for both the U.S. and Israel: “America and Israel Must Open the Door to Hamas.”

MRC President Brent Bozell and MRC Business Vice President Dan Schneider even personally sent a letter to George Soros and his son Alex detailing radical statements by pro-Hamas groups OSF has funded over the years. Bozell and Schneider specifically called on the organization publicly to denounce these groups for supporting what Hamas did on Oct. 7 and put its money where its mouth is instead of in the coffers of organizations that support anti-Semitic terrorism.

The Soros-funded Al-Shabaka, for example, put out a statement following Hamas’s invasion celebrating how “[b]reaching” the “boundaries” of Israel’s borders “expands the Palestinian imaginary for possibilities of both resistance and collective freedom.” Al-Shabaka got $550,000 from Soros between 2017 and 2021 alone. The Middle East Children’s Alliance, which got $700,000 from Soros between 2017 and 2020, was apparently tickled pink over Hamas’ atrocities: “TODAY! We are witnessing the people of Gaza rising up to respond to decades of Israeli settler colonial violence.” The Soros-funded Dream Defenders justified the Hamas terrorist attacks in an Oct. 7 post by blaming Israel: “As ever, we stand with the Palestinian people fighting for freedom from apartheid.” Dream Defenders got at least $1,850,000 from Soros between 2017 and 2021.

The New York Post, following MRC’s exposés, reported that Soros doled out at least $15 million to groups that supported Hamas’s attacks on Israel. Members of two of Soros-funded, pro-Hamas hate groups, Jewish Voice for Peace and If Not Now, were reportedly “among the protestors who converged on the US Capitol complex Oct. 18.” As the NY Post reported, another Soros-funded group, the Arab American Association of New York, “helped plan a hate-filled ‘Flood Brooklyn for Palestine’ protest in Bay Ridge on Oct. 21, where protestors called for the eradication of Israel and held a sign of the Israeli flag in a trash basket that read ‘Please keep the world clean!’” But according to OSF, its grantees supposedly “adhere to the principle that human rights and safety should be enjoyed by Israelis and Palestinians alike.” What a joke.

The Hamas attacks on Oct. 7 resulted in at least 1,400 people killed, including children. Hundreds more were violently taken hostage to Gaza. OSF’s press release condemning Hamas was also apparently the first statement published on OSF’s “Newsroom” page in roughly three-and-a-half weeks since the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel that even addressed the conflict. Alex Soros posted a Haaretz op-ed on X the same day the OSF statement was released explicitly refuting the notion that Israel’s military offensive in Gaza constituted “genocide.” “This needed to be said: Israel Is NOT Committing Genocide in Gaza - Opinion - http://Haaretz.com,” Alex proclaimed in his caption. But OSF’s actions clearly don’t back up its or its own chairman's words.

Over 100 university presidents, chancellors sign letter condemning Hamas
[CampusReform] The list notably includes the leaders of several schools where students marched in support of Hamas, including City University of New York (CUNY) chancellor Felix V. Matos Rodriguez.
Take a look and see if your school put itself on the list, dear Reader. I am deeply unhappy that neither of the schools I’ve spent time in did.
The Chancellors and Presidents of more than 100 universities signed a statement condemning the Hamas terror attacks against Israel.

Universities United Against Terrorism, a national coalition of university leaders, signed onto the statement. A user on X shared the statement.

We stand together with Israel against Hamas,” the statement reads. “We are horrified and sickened by the brutality and inhumanity of Hamas. Murdering innocent civilians including babies and children, raping women and taking the elderly as hostages are not the actions of political disagreement but the actions of hate and terrorism.”

”The basis of all universities is a pursuit of truth, and it is times like these that require moral clarity,” it continues. “Like the fight against ISIS, the fight against Hamas is a fight against evil. We, the presidents and chancellors of universities and colleges across the United States of America and the world, stand with Israel, with the Palestinians who suffer under Hamas’ cruel rule in Gaza and with all people of moral conscience.”

US Congress to hear report on UNRWA's misuse of US funds to incite hate
[Ynet] A report detailing the connection between the education received in UNRWA schools in the Gaza Strip and the October 7 massacres carried out by Hamas in southern Israel will be presented to the US House of Representatives on Wednesday.

The 123-page report was released by the Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education, known as IMPACT-SE, an Israeli NGO that analyzes school textbooks and teaching curriculums to determine whether they conform with international standards derived from UNESCO's declarations and resolutions, with the aim of preventing the radicalization of children and encouraging tolerance, pluralism and peaceful conflict resolution.

According to the report, titled "UNRWA Education: Textbooks and Terror," education takes up 58% of the budget of UNRWA, the United Nations' agency for Palestinian refugees. It says that UNRWA operates 183 schools in the Gaza Strip, catering to more than 286,000 students, and those schools use the Palestinian Authority's curriculum, which is taught across the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The report said that, despite reforms in 2016, the PA's textbooks "have remained openly antisemitic and continue to encourage violence, jihad and martyrdom, while peace is not taught as preferable or even possible. Extreme nationalism and Islamist ideologies proliferate throughout the curriculum, including in science and math textbooks."

Cowboys from US arrive in Israel to help with farming
[Ynet] Ten American cowboys and farmers from the southern US states of Arkansas and Montana arrived in Israel Monday night to help the farmers who have been in need of workers since the events of October 7.
...Toxic masculinity: the liberal concept (the science is settled!) that men are knuckle dragging bastards who spend all their time watching football, drinking beer, burping, farting, and thumping their women. This doesn't apply if the men are girls transitioning to boys, or boys transitioning to girls, or either transitioning to sheep...
And I don't think I'd call Montana precisely "southern," since it borders Canada.
The cowboys took off JFK airport in New York, and landed in Israel late at night. All the cowboys paid for their own trips, and they aren't Jewish, but are part of the Christian-religious movement that identifies with the State of Israel and the Bible. Their arrival has made a big splash on social media, where their photos have been shared over and over again.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Israel discusses 'mechanism' to avoid war on Lebanon front
[An Nahar] The Israeli war cabinet has discussed a mechanism for avoiding being dragged into wars on other fronts, specifically with Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
, al-Jazeera television reported.

Israeli troops and Death Eaters from Lebanon’s Hezbollah and their Paleostinian allies have been clashing for a month along the border following the start of the Israel-Hamas

war. The deadly festivities have intensified since Israel launched a ground incursion into Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
against Hamas, an ally of Hezbollah.

Hezbollah officials have warned that if Israel kills Lebanese civilians, it will retaliate by attacking civilian targets.

Israel considers the Iran-backed Hezbollah its most serious immediate threat and estimates that Hezbollah has around 150,000 rockets and missiles aimed at Israel. The group also has different types of drones and surface-to-sea missiles.

Contacts intensify with Lebanon in bid to contain border tensions
“Please don’t hurt us, O IDF.”
[An Nahar] Western and non-Arab nations intensified their contacts over the past hours with Lebanese officials in a bid to contain the tensions on the southern front with Israel and avoid descent into a bigger confrontation, media reports said.

Al-Mayadeen reporter files complaint against Israeli journalist who 'intimidated' her
[An Nahar] A journalist with Lebanese al-Mayadeen television channel has filed a police complaint against an Israeli journalist who she alleged had "intimidated" her.

Hana Mohammed said Israeli journalist Haim Etgar confronted her at a post office after allegedly impersonating a postal employee and "threatening" her.
In Lebanon?! I thought they didn’t allow Israelis to pollute their purity.
"This is not the first time that this journalist has chased Arab journalists and intimidated them," she told AFP.

"When a journalist gives himself the authority to question another journalist like a policeman it legitimizes racist attacks on anyone," Mohammed said.

Etgar posted on his Instagram account a video of him following Mohammed out of the post office to her car, asking about her take on the war, Mayadeen's coverage and accusing her of broadcasting "fake news," such as that the Israeli army is using chemical weapons
...have not been used since WWI except for in Iraq, by the late, unlamented Saddam Hussein and in Syria, but really, honest, not by the Syrian government. And in Germany in WWII, but that was against civilians. Lots of them, just one of many reasons Hitler's also late and unlamented...
"We tried to ask questions, as always politely and without physical contact," Etgar wrote, alleging that Mayadeen was affiliated with Hezbollah.

"We didn't get answers."

There was no indication from police as to whether they were launching an investigation following the complaint.
