Staff accuse BBC of anti-Palestinian bias in Israel-Hamas war coverage
[Jpost] BBC Director-General Tim Davie has been conducting meetings in recent weeks aimed at giving employees space to voice their concerns about the corporation’s coverage of Palestinians throughout the Israel-Hamas war, which they claim is biased, sources in the BBC told news site Deadline last week.

In one memorable meeting on January 12, employees blamed the Broadcasting Corporation for using "dehumanizing" language with regard to the Palestinians in Gaza, while others accused the BBC of omitting specific stories that other networks, such as Al Jazeera and Channel 4, reported.

The complaints are based on a broad examination of some 4,600 BBC stories, which have been characterized as having "disproportionate bias towards Israeli deaths rather than Palestinian ones," as per Deadline.
In short "BBC pretends to be objective too much for us - we want more Hamas agitprop!"

Government Corruption
Christian Nonprofits Incentivize Illegal Immigration With Your Tax Dollars
[WND] President and CEO of Samaritan’s Purse Rev. Franklin Graham told Newsmax in May 2023 that despite his organization’s prominent presence in Latin American countries, "We’re not aiding illegal immigration."

"We are feeding people down there. We’re not helping people cross the border," Graham, the son of the late evangelist Billy Graham, insisted.

While programs offering food and financial resources to the caravans snaking through Central America seem humane on the surface, they actually incentivize more migrants to pay the cartel smuggling fees so they can make the trip north. Well-intentioned Christian charities are using American taxpayer money to assist migrants on their journey through Central America, undoubtedly fueling the surge of human trafficking across borders from South America into Mexico and the U.S.

Catholic groups’ work subsidizing migrant treks to the U.S. is widely known and has even been scrutinized by members of Congress. But popular evangelical groups like Samaritan’s Purse and World Relief also use American tax dollars they receive from grants to make migrants’ travel to the deadliest land migration route easier.

Samaritan’s Purse’s mission to "Go and do likewise," as Jesus commanded in the parable of the Good Samaritan, led to the creation of dozens of international aid programs including Operation Christmas Child and World Medical Mission. For its work, Samaritan’s Purse has received millions of American dollars from government grants, including from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Approximately $718,513 of the money Samaritan’s Purse garnered from government grants and donations has gone to the UN’s Inter-Agency Coordination Platform for Refugees and Migrants from Venezuela (R4V).

White House rejects GOP-led bill for $17.6 billion in Israel aid as ‘cynical ploy’
[IsraelTimes] The White House says a Republican proposal for $17.6 billion in military aid for Israel and to replenish US weapons stockpiles, but which leaves out more help for Ukraine, is a "cynical political maneuver."
Possibly less cynical than the bill put forward by the Democrats... possibly not. But becoming cynical is a natural consequence of wading through the DC swamp. There are very few Jimmy Stewarts on the Hill, which is probably just as well.
The proposal, announced by Rep. Ken Calvert of Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Saturday, comes as the Senate is set to consider a long-awaited bill re-upping US funding for Ukraine, while also providing aid to Israel and stiffening controls along the US-Mexican border.

House Republicans have balked at that bill under the urging of former US president Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
. Saturday’s bill seemingly allows them to show support for Israel while still pulling back military aid for Ukraine and denying US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... or is that an act?...
a chance to look tough on immigration.

"The security of Israel should be sacred, not a political game," White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says. "We strongly oppose this ploy which does nothing to secure the border, does nothing to help the people of Ukraine defend themselves against Putin’s aggression, and denies humanitarian assistance to Paleostinian civilians, the majority of them women and kiddies, which the Israelis supported by opening the access route."

The Democrat-controlled Senate is seen as unlikely to back the House bill.

The House has already approved a nearly $14.5 billion military aid package in November for Israel that the Senate declined to take up. That bill had demanded that the money for the aid be found by cutting budgets elsewhere, including the IRS
...the Internal Revenue Service; that office of the United States government that collects taxes and persecutes the regime's political enemies...

Michigan city [Dearborn] is on edge as Wall Street Journal article brands it 'America's jihad capital' - with cops deployed to guard mosques and locals fearing Islamophobic revenge attacks
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A Michigan suburb with the largest Muslim population in the US has upped its security in fear of hate attacks after it was branded America's 'jihad capital.'

The headline of a Wall Street Journal opinion piece published on Friday read 'Welcome to Dearborn, America's Jihad Capital' - a title given to the city by the publication because of its residents' pro-Palestine stances. The contentious article was written by Steven Stalinsky, who is a commentator on terrorism and has served as executive director of the Middle East Media Research Institute, based in Washington DC, since 1999.

He warned in the story that Dearborn's majority Arab population ought to be paid 'close attention' by counterterrorism agencies following October 7.

But his words have caused the mayor of the suburb, Abdullah Hammoud to ramp up police presence outside mosques and other major civil centers because of Islamophobic threats being hurled at its majority-Arab residents.

The WSJ op-ed has allegedly caused an 'alarming increase in bigoted and Islamophobic rhetoric' towards the some 110,000 locals living in Dearborn.

According to census figures, Dearborn is roughly 54 percent Arab American, making it one of the most densely populated areas for Middle Eastern people in the US.

It is home to the largest Muslim population in the US per capita as well as the largest mosque in North America.

In the wake of the October 7 attacks on 1,000 Israeli citizens, protests erupted in Dearborn - supporting the Palestinian side.

The opinion piece published by the WSJ read: 'Thousands march in support of Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran. Protesters, many with kaffiyehs covering their faces, shout 'Intifada, intifada,' 'From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,' and 'America is a terrorist state.'

'Local imams give fiery antisemitic sermons. This isn't the Middle East. It's the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, Mich.'

After 9/11, he argues, Dearborn was branded a 'recruiting area and potential support base for international terror groups' according to the Department of Justice.

The writer claims that 'many current or onetime Dearborn residents have been convicted of terror-related crimes in recent years.'

Stalinsky then says what is happening in Dearborn is 'potentially a national-security issue affecting all Americans.'

He warns: 'Counterterrorism agencies at all levels should pay close attention.'

On Wednesday night, Arab Americans inside a Dearborn high school were protesting against Joe Biden's scheduled visit to the city next week. In the 2020 election, 68 percent of voters in Wayne County, where Dearborn is located, voted for Biden. It is expected to be a fierce battleground in November. Nasser Beydoun, a Dearborn candidate for Senate, told the crowd this week: 'The community has made a decision that Joe Biden is not our nominee.'

US blacklists Iranian, Chinese companies said to be fronts for IRGC arms purchases
More on this story from yesterday.
[IsraelTimes] Treasury’s decision also targets Revolutionary Guard officials as Biden administration looks to pressure Tehran over proxies’ aggression after dronezap kills 3 US soldiers

The United States on Friday imposed sanctions targeting Iran’s ballistic missile and drone procurement programs as well as officials it said were involved in hacking US infrastructure, as Washington looks to increase pressure on Tehran.

The US Treasury Department said in a statement it had imposed sanctions on four Iran- and Hong Kong-based companies involved in providing materials and technology to Iran’s ballistic missile and drone programs, as well as a Hong Kong-based firm for selling Iranian commodities to Chinese entities.

The Treasury also said it placed sanctions on six officials of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp’s Cyber Electronic Command (IRGC-CEC) for malicious cyber activities against critical infrastructure in the United States and elsewhere.

Iran’s mission to the United Nations

Strip have attacked US and Israeli targets.

The US Treasury said it had imposed sanctions on four Iran- and Hong Kong-based entities for operating as covert procurement entities for Iran’s Pishtazan Kavosh Gostar Boshra (PKGB) and its managing director Hamed Dehghan, who it said support Iranian military organizations, including the IRGC.

The Treasury named the three Hong Kong firms it accused of being part of the procurement network for Iran’s ballistic missile and drone programs as FY International Trading Co., Limited, Duling Technology HK Limited and Advantage Trading Co., Limited.

Hong Kong-based China Oil and Petroleum Company Limited was also hit with sanctions on Friday, with the Treasury accusing it of being a front company for the IRGC’s Quds Force.

The Treasury said it has arranged contracts and sold hundreds of millions of dollars worth of Iranian commodities and was involved in trade with China-based entities to benefit the Quds Force.

Liu Pengyu, a spokesperson for the Chinese embassy in Washington, criticized the sanctions.

"These are typical acts of putting unlawful unilateral sanctions and long-arm jurisdiction, severely undercutting Chinese interests," Liu said. "China is deeply concerned and firmly against... such moves."

Narin Sepehr Mobin Istatis, an Iran-based subsidiary of PKGB, was also among those sanctioned in Friday’s action, which freezes any US assets belonging to those targeted and generally bars Americans from dealing with them. Those that engage in certain transactions with them also risk being hit with sanctions.

In a separate statement, the Treasury said it had imposed sanctions on six IRGC-CEC officials: Hamid Reza Lashgarian,
head of IRGC's Cyber-Electronic Command (IRGC-CEC), and also a commander in the IRGC-Quds Force...
Mahdi Lashgarian, Hamid Homayunfal, Milad Mansuri, Mohammad Bagher Shirinkar and Reza Mohammad Amin Saberian.

PML-N takes credit for 'significantly reducing corruption' in previous tenures
[GEO.TV] With the electioneering taking pace and political parties propagating their election manifesto to woo the masses ahead of the February 8 polls, Pakistain Moslem League-Nawaz (PML-N) has claimed to have effectively addressed corruption during its previous tenure.
My head just spun all the way around. Twice.
The remarks were made by PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif
...served two three non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf, then by the courts...
, who, while addressing a political gathering in Gujranwala on Saturday, cited the Transparency International report which reflected Pakistain's improvement in its Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI).

Last month, the watchdog revealed that the country was ranked 133 out of 180 countries during the Shehbaz Sharif-led coalition government compared to that of Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf
...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations....
's (PTI) Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who anti-establishment Pak premier, who was hounded out of office, arrested, jailed, and will likely be hung by his political opponents...
-led rule wherein the country was ranked 140.

Without taking any names, Nawaz took a jibe at the PTI, which for years had claimed to eliminate corruption, and said: "[Even] Transparency International said that corruption was at its lowest during our tenure.

"They [PTI] were staging sit-ins [while] we were establishing power plants," the three-time former prime minister said while recalling the 2014 sit-in by then Khan-led party.

Recalling his tenure as the country's chief executive from 2013 to 2017, Nawaz claimed that the PML-N government not only succeeded in tackling corruption but also effectively addressed rampant inflation.

Pak Purge: PTI founder Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi sentenced to 7 years each in 'un-Islamic nikah' case
[GEO.TV] A trial court on Saturday handed seven-year sentences, each, to Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf
...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations....
(PTI) founder Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who who convinced himself that playing cricket qualified him to lead a nuclear-armed nation with severe personality disorders...
and his wife Bushra Bibi in the "un-Islamic nikah" case at the Adiala jail today.

The couple, who were present at the court during sentencing, have also been fined Rs500,000 each — for which the failure to pay provisions additional four months of incarceration.

The verdict was pronounced by senior civil judge Qudratullah today, a day after the hearing of the case was conducted inside the jail premises for 14 hours a day earlier.

The court had reserved its decision after the arguments were completed yesterday.

The judge issued the court's verdict in the case pertaining to the plea filed by Bushra Bibi's ex-husband Khawar Maneka against what he refers to as an un-Islamic and illegal nikah with the former prime minister.

Four witnesses in the case gave the statements, which were later cross-examined during the proceedings, while Khan and Bushra Bibi also recorded their statements under section 342.

Bushra Bibi, who was placed under house arrest at her residence in Banigala following its status declared as a sub-jail, was presented before the court during today's proceedings at Adiala jail. Imran, who remains incarcerated at the facility, and the couple's lawyers were also present at the time of the verdict announcement.

KHAN-BUSHRA RELATION WREAKS (sic) OF 'FRAUD'
In its 51-page detailed verdict, the court maintained that the record proves that both of the accused, Khan and Bushra, were in relation before the 2018 "fraudulent" nikah.

"[The] PTI founder and Bushra [Bibi] did not deny meeting [during] the sit-in. In their statement, [accused] admitted to having contact, but denied any illicit relationship," the court said while recalling the applicant's allegation regarding Khan's intrusion into his former spouse's private life by way of interactions related to peeri mureedi (spiritual guidance).

The statement of the accused proves that they used to visit each others' houses, the court added while recalling Maneka's statement on oath wherein he had alleged that the PTI founder and the former first lady used to have hours-long meetings during the sit-in.

"The question arises whether they [Khan and Bushra] didn't know if meeting in private is allowed in religion or not?
"The question arises whether they [Khan and Bushra] didn't know if meeting in private is allowed in religion or not?

"Islam emphasises the significance of [meeting] with a mehram or na mehram," the detailed verdict stressed.

On the issue of the nikah solemnised on January 1, 2018, the court termed the marriage as fraud that reflects dishonesty.

"[The] PTI founder and Bushra married illegally on January 1, 2018," the verdict read, adding that the latter's nikah was solemnised before the 90-day iddat period as she was divorced on November 14, 2017.

On the issue of the defence's reliance on the apex court judgment regarding the 39-day iddat period, the court underscored that the apex court's ruling does not mean that every iddat is bound by the said precedent.

NIKAH DURING IDDAT
Maneka, in his petition, had termed Bushra and Khan's nikkah "fraudulent" contending that the marriage was solemnised during her iddat — following her divorce with him.

"That above said nikah and the marriage ceremony was neither legal nor Islamic as it was solemnised without observing iddah period," read the petition available with Geo.tv.

He also accused the former prime minister of ruining his entire life with the petition stating that the PTI top leader "stigmatised the complainant and his family just to achieve his unethical and immoral objects through intrusion in the complainant's peaceful marital life".

"In light of the above, it is humbly prayed that respondents No.1 [Imran Khan] and 2 [Bushra Bibi] be summoned and punished strictly in accordance with law in the interest of justice," Maneka prayed to the court.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Report: Israel responding to charges that US weapons were used in West Bank rights violations
The Biden admin trying to jerk Israel’s chain again.
[IsraelTimes] The Biden administration is reportedly demanding that Israel provide explanations regarding a series of allegations that IDF troops used American-provided weapons to carry out human rights
...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions...
violations in the West Bank.

US legislation known as the Leahy Law prevents the US from providing aid to foreign militaries that violate human rights with impunity. The Biden administration has come under increased pressure from progressives to more stringently apply the legislation to Israel, particularly regarding its operations in the West Bank.

After receiving the US request over a month ago for clarification on a series of incidents, Israel has less than two months to provide responses to Washington, the Israel Hayom daily reports.

If the explanations are not found satisfactory, Israel would be at risk of losing US funding for weapons and military supplies used in the West Bank.

Such a decision would be highly unusual and Biden would likely face immense pressure from Israel supporters in both parties not to take such a drastic step.

The IDF’s International Law Department is spearheading efforts to respond to the US requests, Israel Hayom says.

Asked for comment on the report, the Foreign Ministry says that Israel has long cooperated with US requests regarding the Leahy Law, declining to elaborate. A political source tells Israel Hayom that they are not aware of any concrete warning from the Biden administration regarding continued funding for weapons used by the IDF in the West Bank.

The US Embassy in Jerusalem also declined to comment on the specifics mentioned in the Israel Hayom report, sufficing with a statement noting that the Leahy Law is applied to all countries that receive American security assistance in order to ensure that none of it is used to carry out human rights violations.

Jordanian school textbook said to paint October 7 atrocities in positive light
That was fast.
[IsraelTimes] Paragraph in civics textbook says ‘Palestinian national resistance movement’ merely responded to Israeli aggression by taking hostages

Jordan has inserted the Hamas
...one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,...
October 7 massacres into its high school civics curriculum, painting the terror group’s atrocities in a positive light, Kan news reported Saturday.

According to the report, there is a passage in a chapter on the history of the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict in a 10th-grade civics textbook that refers to the "Al-Aqsa Flood" — the Hamas name for the October 7 attacks.

"Israel disregarded repeated decisions made by the UN Security Council, refused to retreat from the occupied Arab territories, continued to persecute the Arab and Paleostinian people, committed massacres against them daily, and attacked the al-Aqsa Mosque," the text begins.

Referring to the terror group Hamas, the paragraph continues: "This led the Paleostinian national resistance movement in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip to infiltrate the Israeli settlements around the Strip on October 7, 2023, and take Israeli settlers and soldiers hostage, leading to a violent mostly peaceful response from the Israeli enemy — a completely destructive attack against the Gaza Strip that brought about the deaths and injuries of tens of thousands and the destruction of infrastructure, including schools, mosques, churches, hospitals, and civilian structures."

Israel and Jordan are not enemies, having signed a peace deal in 1994, but relations have deteriorated markedly in recent years amid repeated cycles of violence between Israel and Paleostinians. Millions of Jordanians are of Paleostinian descent.

Notably, the textbook completely disregards the 1,200 people, most of whom were civilians, that Hamas killed in Israel on October 7, as well as the myriad reports and testimonies regarding rampant sexual violence, torture, and other brutalities that its bandidos murderous Moslems perpetrated on that day.

The Kan report added that a Jordanian TV station asked people on the street what they thought about inserting the October 7 attack into the curriculum. Those asked overwhelmingly approved.

Denialism of the atrocities committed by Hamas has become widespread in the Arab world. A recent poll showed that over 90 percent of Paleostinians falsely believe that Hamas did not attack civilians on October 7.

According to the Anti-Defamation League, Jordanian textbooks consistently contain antisemitic content.
MEMRI has reported the same about textbooks in various Moslem countries.

Emirates announces $5 million to beleaguered UNRWA for Gaza reconstruction
It counts as charity as well as financing the war against Israel, worth doing even if it all is destroyed again in a few years.
[IsraelTimes] UAE’s pledge shows support for organization amid donor backlash following allegations aid agency’s employees took part in October 7 atrocities

The United Arab Emirates has pledged $5 million to the UN Paleostinian refugee agency (UNRWA) for the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks.
Strip’s reconstruction efforts, led by the organization’s chief coordinator Sigrid Kaag, Rooters reported Saturday, citing Emirati state news agency WAM.

The move barely puts a dent in the $440 million that the agency says is currently being withheld from it, after numerous donor countries suspended funding following revelations, purportedly by Israeli intelligence, that about a dozen UNRWA employees participated in Hamas
...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
’s brutal October 7 onslaught, and many more have ties to terror groups.

Israel’s purported allegations against UNRWA are the latest in a decades-long feud between the Jewish state and the aid agency.

Founded in 1949 to help Paleostinian refugees from Israel’s War of Independence, it is the only UN agency devoted to a specific group of refugees, with other refugees catered to by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.

Israeli officials have claimed that UNRWA perpetuates Paleostinian grievances, and accuse it of fostering hatred for the Jewish state in its schools’ textbooks. In his Wednesday comments, Netanyahu called for the organization’s dismantlement.

However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
some Israeli officials have voiced concern over the potential economic fallout of axing the agency mid-war.

UNRWA is one of the largest employers in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, running schools, medical centers and other facilities. The organization says its workers "are the backbone of the humanitarian aid operations" in the Gaza Strip, and Kaag has said that no organization can replace its "ability and knowledge."

Kaag, a Dutch politician who has served as the Netherlands’ foreign minister, has worked for UNRWA and is married to a former top Paleostinian official. She was appointed to her post early last month.

Report: Saudis seek largely declarative steps on Palestinian state to forge Israel ties
[IsrElTimes] Officials say Riyadh will suffice with a mere commitment to eventual establishment of a state, amid its fears that the window to land security guarantees from the US is closing.

Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
would be willing to accept a commitment from Israel to create a Paleostinian state, rather than more concrete steps toward that end in exchange for normalizing relations with Jerusalem, in a bid to get a defense pact with Washington approved before the US presidential election, sources told Rooters Friday.
Before the Biden administration stuck themselves in the middle of the negotiation, the Saudis were fine with working with Israel separate from anything to do with the Palestinians, All credit to the Obama Biden team for their help.
Riyadh is increasingly keen to shore up its security and ward off threats from rival Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
so the kingdom can forge ahead with its ambitious plan to transform its economy and attract huge foreign investment, Rooters said, citing two unnamed regional sources.

To create some wiggle room in talks about recognizing Israel and to get the US pact back on track, Saudi officials have told their US counterparts that Riyadh would not insist Israel take concrete steps to create a Paleostinian state and would instead accept a political commitment to a two-state solution, two senior regional sources said.
Work over, work under, work around.
The Washington Post reported Friday that the US has told Israel that the deal with Saudi Arabia must move forward within the next two months if at all, because Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
...Crown Prince and modernizer of Saudi Arabia as of 2016. The Turks hate him, so he must be all right, despite the occasional brutal murder of Qatar-owned journalists...
is demanding a NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all....
-like treaty, which will likely require US Senate ratification. Without one by June, the initiative is more likely to get buried in campaign politics amid the November presidential election.

In addition to binding security guarantees from the US, Riyadh is also seeking access to top-notch American military equipment and Washington’s support for a civilian nuclear program, according to US and Arab officials. Analysts say Saudi Arabia is determined to secure the deal before the election because in the event that US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body....
is not re-elected, Democrats will be less likely to ratify a deal inked by a Republican White House.

Last month, two senior US officials and a senior Arab diplomat told The Times of Israel that while the broader interests of the countries involved have not changed since the October 7 attack, the price of the "significant Paleostinian component" of the deal had in fact gone up.

Whereas Israel was being asked before the war to take limited steps to keep a two-state solution alive, the bigwigs said it will now need to commit to establishing an irreversible pathway toward an eventual Paleostinian state while also accepting the return of the Paleostinian Authority to governing the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. Strip, which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has all but rejected in recent months.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken
...71st United States secretary of state and a leading light of the corrupt and inept Biden administration. He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. He advocated for the 2003 invasion of Iraq while serving as the Democratic staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2002 to 2008. He was a foreign policy advisor for the Biden 2008 presidential campaign. During his tenure in the Obama administration, Blinken helped craft B.O.'s policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the nuclear program of Iran. We all saw how well each of those worked. After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm...
told Netanyahu during a visit to Tel Aviv last month that Arab stakeholders are willing to take part in the reconstruction of Gaza
... a waste of limited resources that Hamas has promised will need to be destroyed again and again until Israel no longer exists...
and that Saudi Arabia is willing to normalize relations with Israel if Jerusalem agrees to take steps to create a political horizon for the Paleostinians, an Israeli official said, adding that Netanyahu did not appear open to the proposal.
Netanyahu started his career in Boston Consulting. He knows that sometimes you have to walk away.
The premier said publicly afterward that he had rejected the American "attempt to impose on us a reality that will jeopardize us," adding that he "will not compromise on full Israeli security control over all the territory west of the Jordan [River]."

While this does not leave room for a fully sovereign Paleostinian state, PA President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
and successive US administrations have said the Paleostinian state they seek to establish would be demilitarized.
Like Gaza has been since Ariel Sharon pulled out? We’re now privileged to observe how that plays out.
For his part, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan said last month that Riyadh will not normalize relations with Israel nor contribute to Gaza’s reconstruction without a credible pathway to a Paleostinian state.

Blinken is slated to arrive back in Israel on Sunday where he is again expected to raise the Saudi normalization talks with Netanyahu. His trip comes days after reports that the US is considering unilaterally recognizing an independent Paleostinian state and after UK Foreign Minister David Cameron
...Empty suit Brit pol, former PM, has stated that he is certainly a big Thatcher fan, but I don't know whether that makes me a Thatcherite, which means he's not. Since he is not deeply ideological he lacks core principles and is easily led. He has been described as certainly not a Pitt, Elder or Younger, but he does wear a nice suit so maybe he's Beau Brummel...
announced that London was considering doing the same.

Earlier this week, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer met with senior administration officials in Washington and relayed that Netanyahu is prepared to commit to a political horizon for the Paleostinians but will not accept talk of a demilitarized Paleostinian state, Channel 12 reported Friday, without citing any sources.

Explaining Saudi Arabia’s approach to the Paleostinian component of the negotiations, Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington senior scholar Hussein Ibish said that before October 7, "it would have been good enough for Saudi Arabia for Israel to get involved in some sort of national negotiations with the PLO for the Paleostinians, and the propping up of the PA, but without necessarily undertaking to the eventual recognition of a Paleostinian state, and accepting the irrevocable principle of Paleostinian statehood."

Since the war’s breakout, though, demands regarding the Paleostinian component of the deal have gone up. "Nobody is seriously expecting Israel to withdraw unilaterally from the West Bank or to recognize a Paleostinian state that does not yet exist. What is required is for Israel to recognize the Paleostinian right to a state and the need for a Paleostinian state," Ibish maintained.

Ex-IDF spokesman: Israeli military dug up graves in Gaza to search for hostages’ bodies
[IsraelTimes] A former Israel Defense Forces front man says that soldiers have dug up some graves in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. in order to confirm that the bodies of hostages were not buried there.

"They are looking for the bodies of Israeli hostages in the graveyards. They have been opening areas where there are fresh graves in order to look for bodies of Israeli hostages," Jonathan Conricus tells CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
Conricus was not speaking to the outlet in his capacity as a military front man, but instead as a Middle East expert.

"That is how low Israeli troops have to go in order to try to find Israeli hostages. There are still 136 hostages in Gaza. Some of them, probably half, are presumed dead and it is the job of the IDF to find live hostages, and if not possible, then dead," he says.
Half. May their tormenters soon find themselves in the depths of Hell.
"Even in [Gaza’s] Shifa Hospital, Israeli troops had to go into the morgue and look for Israeli bodies because there was intelligence suggesting Hamas
...the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
had taken Israelis and kept them at the Shifa Hosptial in storage. So we had to go in and do DNA testing," he says.

"That is what is necessary when you deal with an enemy like Hamas. When they go so low to barter with bodies and deal in bodies, then at the end of the day, the IDF needs to get them back," he says.

"These people need to be buried, and they need to be buried properly back home. And even if it means bad optics, Israel has the obligation to do so," Conricus says.

In addition to the search for hostages’ bodies, the military has said that it found at least one Hamas attack tunnel underneath a Gaza cemetery.

Syria culture ministry slams US strikes near historic site
[GEO.TV] Syria's culture ministry on Saturday condemned overnight US strikes that local media said damaged a historic site in Deir Ezzor province in the country's east.

The United States launched the air strikes against Iran-backed groups in Iraq and Syria in retaliation for a recent drone attack on an American base in Jordan that killed three US soldiers.

Syria's culture ministry condemned "in the strongest terms the barbaric US bombardment of the al-Rahba fortress" in eastern Syria's Mayadeen area.

In a statement on social media, it said the citadel, located along the Euphrates River, dates to the ninth century, without elaborating on the damage the site sustained.

The "blatant" attack violated "all international norms and charters that call for the protection and respect for cultural property," the ministry added.

Pro-government daily al-Watan reported antiquities chief Nazir Awad as saying the bombardment late Friday caused cracks and fissures in the fortress walls.

The full extent of the damage had not yet been assessed, al-Watan cited Awad as saying.

Damascus said earlier Saturday that the overnight strikes killed "a number of civilians and soldiers, maimed others and caused significant damage to public and private property".

US strikes in Syria, Iraq threaten regional peace: Hamas
[GEO.TV] Palestinian resistance group Hamas on Saturday condemned overnight US strikes in Iraq and Syria, saying Washington had poured "oil on the fire" in the Middle East.

The US "bears responsibility for the consequences of this brutal aggression against both Iraq and Syria, which pour oil on the fire," the group said in a statement.

"We confirm that the region will not witness stability or peace except by stopping the Zionist [Israeli] aggression and the crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing against our people in the Gaza Strip."

The US launched air strikes against Iran-backed armed groups in Iraq and Syria and promised more to come, in retaliation for a drone attack that killed three US soldiers in Jordan on Sunday.

The US military said it attacked a total of 85 targets at seven different sites in Syria and Iraq.

The strikes killed at least 23 fighters in Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said. In Iraq, they killed 16 people, including civilians, the Baghdad government said.

US and allied troops have been attacked more than 165 times in Iraq, Syria and Jordan since mid-October in a campaign waged by Iran-backed armed groups angered by US support for Israel in the war in Gaza.
