He thought it was too valuable for entombment. His only possible defense would be if he had written a check for the value of the guitar & left that in the casket.

Ugly Racial Lynch Mob In Philadelphia Suburb

#1  This is the same in many large metropolitan areas.
I know Philly is very bad in large areas. You don't dare travel on an a back street. Did you notice that the man had no help from his neighbors. This is a good Samaritan. He didn't have to let them in for their safety. He may have to move away now.

#2  I lived in a Philly suburb (Abington) from 67-73 and we had racial mob incidents every year in the high school - often leading to closing said school for several days. This was before the extreme PC-itis and there was plenty of blame on both sides of the line. With PC the dominant creed and the sense of immunity it fosters, it seems much more one-sided today.

#3  It only took the Philly newspaper more than two weeks to report in print. It was discussed when it occurred on 'talk radio', two weeks ago.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Tea Partiers are Racists and I'm Marrying my StepGrand Daughter
Morgan Freeman's divorce from his second wife of 26 years, Myrna Colley-Lee, is official. And now that he's a single man, rumors are circulating (thanks to the trusty old, National Enquirer) that he's getting ready to marry again...to his 27-year-old step-granddaughter, E'Dina Hines! Folks, we couldn't make this stuff up if we tried! Morgan Freeman To Impregnate Step-Granddaughter

Adding fuel to the fire: The official reason behind the divorce is being kept quiet, as the terms of the split are now sealed with the divorce records. Plus, in a released statement to the press, divorce lawyers from Freeman's camp only said: "It was done without a trial. Everybody is glad it's over."

Anyone else wondering if Morgan paid off his now ex-wife, so he could quietly marry his step-granddaughter?

According to the Enquirer, Freeman cheated on his now ex-wife with a number of women--E'Dina being one of them--and  Freeman and E'Dina's affair began when when she was just a teenager (and we thought this whole incestual relationship couldn't get any worse)! But apparently now that he's no longer legally bound to another woman, the Oscar-winner has vowed to make a "decent" woman out of his step-granddaughter and father her children!

Yeah, we're thinking the same thing: Is that even legal? And what does that make him? Father slash great-grandpa to his own children? Um, gross! Who knew the 73-year-old actor (who recently played Nelson Mandela) was such a dirty old man? 4 Strangest Celebrity Family Relationships Ever

Seriously, we're having trouble wrapping our heads around this one. It's just way too disturbing, and we so badly want to believe it's just another sensational tall-tale from the Enquirer. But if it is true, Morgan Freeman sure makes Tiger Woods look good! 5 Celeb Cheaters Who Shocked Us

Saudi woman to be lashed for defying driving ban
Has it occurred to anybody but us that the Soddies get a lot of jollies flogging each other with whips?
A court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced a woman to 10 lashes for breaking the country's ban on female drivers.

The woman, identified only as Shema, was found guilty of driving in Jeddah in July.

Women2drive, which campaigns for women to be allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia, says she has already lodged an appeal.
In recent months, scores of women have driven vehicles in Saudi cities in an effort to put pressure on the monarchy to change the law.

The sentence comes two days after the Saudi leader King Abdullah announced women would be allowed to vote for the first time in 2015.
Two other women are due to appear in court later this year on similar charges, correspondents say.

South African Firm to Build Gas-to-Diesel Plant in Louisiana
Announced two weeks ago, so please delete if I missed it. I only saw it this morning because I was behind on my civil engineering newsletters. And I'm sure the EPA can still kill it!
Gov. Bobby Jindal and Sasol New Business Development Managing Director Ernst Oberholster announced the South African company has selected Calcasieu Parish as the location for a potential gas-to-liquids, or GTL, complex that would entail a capital investment of approximately $8 billion to $10 billion and produce direct employment of approximately 850 jobs, with average salaries of about $89,000, not including benefits.

LED estimates the project also would result in approximately 4,000 indirect jobs, which means the total impact of the project would be nearly 5,000 new jobs in Southwest Louisiana. Additionally, at full production capacity, the facility would consume approximately 305 billion standard cubic feet of natural gas per year, which would represent roughly $1.3 billion to $1.5 billion per year in natural gas purchases at current prices and, accordingly, Sasol's proposed GTL complex would provide a huge new source of demand for the Haynesville Shale and other natural gas plays in Louisiana.

#3  "The plant would make use of the current US natural gas glut brought about by the burgeoning shale gas sector to produce low-cost, virtually sulphur-free fuel which can be used directly in diesel engines without any modifications. The greenhouse gas profile of such fuels is also thought to be less damaging than that of conventional diesel."

#4  To hell with greenhouse gas profiles. It's nice to have a few more construction jobs for a few years. The un-reported bottom line is this:
In 2010 USA imported 11,800 thousand barrels/day of crude/refined petro products, exporting 2.3 MMbd, net imports = 9,400 thousand barrels/day. This GTL project when completed (read all the way down the article) will produce 96 thousand barrels/day, which equals 1% of imports. A tiny step forward, but at least it is a step.
Using thorium nuclear reactors to cook coal into liquid fuels could be a huge step forward, and slowly-slowly the research is being done.

#6  HR 1380 natural gas act. In congress now. It could provide heating, fuel for all gas powered cars and diesel engines. I'm surprised they didn't show the transmission lines north to south on the east coast(Duke Energy). The Gulf and Marcellus shale are huge. They are going after a four foot seam miles long down about 2000 feet as I recall. They don't talk about the other seam eight feet thick but beyond current technology to work. The next cash for clunkers they say will be an offer to purchase or convert transportation. Something like $6000.-$17000. Big money is moving in that direction. They say it will be like the introduction of the automobile. Forget windmills and solar too heavily subsidized. No matter what we do somebody will fight it. They are fighting a transmission line now that they say could employ
350000. Being fought now so the Canadians simultaneous plan is a line to their west coast for shipping to China.

#7  IIRC, GTL uses at least 30% of the feedstock for heat, so it would be especially good if the waste heat was captured.

Dollars to donuts that the O admin will kill this one way or another. They do not want us to be energy independent. There is the real hurdle. SASOL hs some real experience in GTL and Fischer-Tropsch.

Europe
Germany slams 'stupid' US plans to boost EU rescue fund
Germany and America were on a collision course on Tuesday night over the handling of Europe's debt crisis after Berlin savaged plans to boost the EU rescue fund as a "stupid idea" and told the White House to sort out its own mess before giving gratuitous advice to others.
German finance minister Wolfgang Schauble said it would be a folly to boost the EU's bail-out machinery (EFSF) beyond its €440bn lending limit by deploying leverage to up to €2 trillion, perhaps by raising funds from the European Central Bank.

"I don't understand how anyone in the European Commission can have such a stupid idea. The result would be to endanger the AAA sovereign debt ratings of other member states. It makes no sense," he said.

Mr Schauble told Washington to mind its own businesss after President Barack Obama rebuked EU leaders for failing to recapitalise banks and allowing the debt crisis to escalate to the point where it is "scaring the world".

"It's always much easier to give advice to others than to decide for yourself. I am well prepared to give advice to the US government," he said.

The comments risk irritating the White House. US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner has been a key driver of plans to give the EFSF enough firepower to shore up Italy and Spain, fearing a drift into "cascading default, bank runs and catastrophic risk" without dramatic action.

Muslims Demand Removal Of Cross From Swiss Flag
An immigrant group based in Bern has called for the emblematic white cross to be removed from the Swiss national flag because as a Christian symbol it "no longer corresponds to today's multicultural Switzerland."

Ivica Petrusic, the vice president of Second@s Plus, a lobbying group that represents mostly Muslim second-generation foreigners in Switzerland (who colloquially are known as secondos) says the group will launch a nationwide campaign in October to ask Swiss citizens to consider adopting a flag that is less offensive to Muslim immigrants.

In a September 18 interview with the Swiss newspaper Aargauer Zeitung, Petrusic said the cross has a Christian background and while the Christian roots of Switzerland should be respected, "it is necessary to separate church and state" because "Switzerland today has a great religious and cultural diversity. One has to ask if the State wants to continue building up a symbol in which many people no longer believe."

In the interview, Petrusic said Switzerland needs new symbols with which everyone, including non-Christians, can identify. As an alternative to the current Swiss flag, Petrusic proposed the former flag of the Helvetic Republic which was officially introduced in 1799 and consisted of green, red and yellow colors. "Those colors are similar to the current flags of Bolivia and Ghana and would represent a more progressive and open-minded Switzerland," Petrusic said.

The proposal to change the Swiss flag has been met with outrage across the political spectrum and is sure to fuel anti-immigrant sentiments in Switzerland.

Sylvia Flückiger a councillor with the conservative Swiss People's Party (SVP) said the demands are: "Totally unacceptable. With our Swiss flag there is nothing to change. The next thing you know, they will demand even more, that we change our constitution."

Marianne Binder, spokeswoman for the center-right Christian Democrats (CVP) said: "This is just what was missing, that we need to change our flag. The Swiss flag is part of Swiss identity, precisely because it is inviting for all to want to be involved...even the immigrants."

Stefan Brupbacher, general secretary of the libertarian Free Democrats (FDP) said: "This is utter nonsense. The Swiss cross is an extremely successful and valuable global brand. It is a symbol of success and quality. We will tightly hold on to it, out of love for Switzerland."

The issue of Muslim immigration to Switzerland has been a hotly debated topic in recent years and the flag controversy is sure to add fuel to the fire.

The Muslim population in Switzerland has more than quintupled since 1980, and now numbers about 400,000, or roughly 5% of the population. Most Muslims living in Switzerland are of Turkish or Balkan origin, with a smaller minority from the Arab world. Many of them are second- and third-generation immigrants who are now firmly establishing themselves in Switzerland.

The new Muslim demographic reality is raising tensions across large parts of Swiss society, especially as Muslims become more assertive in their demands for greater recognition of their Islamic faith.

The ensuing controversies are fueling a debate over the role of Islam in Swiss society and how to reconcile Western values with a growing immigrant population determined to avoid assimilation.

Swiss courts have been jam-packed with Islam-related cases in recent years. In one case, Muslim parents won a lawsuit demanding that they be allowed to dress their children in full-body bathing suits, dubbed "burkinis," during co-ed swimming lessons. In another case, a group of Swiss supermarkets created a stir by banning Muslim employees from wearing headscarves.

In August 2009, the Swiss basketball association told a Muslim player she could not wear a headscarf during league games. In August 2010, five Muslim families in Basel were fined 350 Swiss Francs ($420) each for refusing to send their daughters to mixed-sex swimming lessons.

In September 2010, the secretary of the Muslim Community of Basel was acquitted of publicly inciting crime and violence. The charges were pressed after the 33-year-old made comments in a Swiss television documentary saying that Islamic Sharia law should be introduced in Switzerland and that unruly wives should be beaten. The judge said the defendant was protected by freedom of expression.

In November 2010, Swiss voters approved tough new regulations on the deportation of non-Swiss immigrants convicted of serious crimes. The measure calls for the automatic expulsion of non-Swiss offenders convicted of crimes ranging from murder to breaking and entry and social security fraud.

Also in November, Swiss Justice Minister Simonetta Sommaruga said the approval or extension of residency permits should be closely linked to the efforts immigrants make to integrate themselves. "Compulsory schooling must be respected. Children should attend all courses and exceptions made on religious or other grounds, for example in swimming classes, should no longer be possible," Sommaruga said.

In December 2010, the Federal Commission on Women's Issues called for Islamic burqas and niqabs to be banned in government offices and in public schools. The government-appointed committee said the move would prevent gender discrimination.

In January 2011, a 66-year-old Turkish woman living in Bern was sentenced to three years and six months in prison for encouraging the father and brothers of her daughter-in-law to carry out an "honor" crime against her for her "risqué lifestyle."

In May 2011, voters in canton Ticino, in Switzerland's Italian-speaking region, collected enough signatures to be able to launch a referendum that would ban burqas, niqabs and other Islamic head dresses. If the referendum goes ahead, it will be the first time in Switzerland that citizens have been asked to express an opinion on burqas.

Also in May, Swiss Defence Minister Ueli Maurer said increasing numbers of Swiss Muslims are training in Islamic militant camps in countries like Somalia and Yemen. In an interview with the SonntagsZeitung newspaper, Maurer also said that under current Swiss laws it is difficult to prevent Islamists from raising funds.

Meanwhile, an administrative court in Bern is expected to rule on the fate of a minaret in the town of Langenthal. Minarets are the tower-like structures on mosques from which Muslims are often called to prayer.

Muslims in Langenthal, a town with a population of about 15,000, had been given permission to build a minaret five months before a constitutional ban on minarets took effect in November 2009, but opponents of the project say the earlier approval is now null and void. The case is still working its way through the Swiss legal system.

In November 2009 Switzerland held a referendum in which citizens approved an initiative to ban the construction of minarets. The initiative was approved 57.5% to 42.5% by some 2.67 million voters. Only four of Switzerland's 26 cantons or states opposed the initiative, thereby granting the double approval that now makes the minaret ban part of the Swiss constitution.

In July 2011, the European Court of Human Rights rejected two cases brought by Muslims against Switzerland's constitutional ban on building minarets.

A seven-judge panel at the Strasbourg-based court said that it would not consider the cases as the plaintiffs failed to show how the ban harmed their human rights and they therefore "cannot claim to be 'victims' of a violation" of the European Convention on Human Rights, which the court enforces.

The minaret ban represented a turning point in the debate about Islam in Switzerland.

The initiative was sponsored by the conservative Swiss People's Party (SVP), which says the minarets symbolize the growing self-confidence and intolerance of Switzerland's Muslim community.

The SVP has described the minaret is a "symbol of a religious-political claim to power and dominance which threatens -- in the name of alleged freedom of religion -- the constitutional rights of others."

The SVP has backed its claim by citing a remark by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has implied that the construction of mosques and minarets is part of a strategy to Islamisize Europe. The pro-Islamist Erdogan has bragged: "The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers." Erdogan has also told Muslim immigrants in Europe that "assimilation is a crime against humanity."

In recent years the number of mosques in Switzerland has mushroomed; there now are over 200 mosques and up to 1,000 prayer rooms dotted across the country. Critics fear the mosques are facilitating the establishment of a parallel Muslim society -- one that is especially welcoming to Islamic fundamentalists.

Parliament dissolved in Spain, polls on Nov. 20
MADRID: Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero dissolved Parliament on Monday, but pledged to adopt new measures to tackle an economic crisis if needed before a November election that is expected to hand power to the conservative opposition.

Zapatero has called elections for Nov. 20, four months earlier than originally planned, in the hope that faint signs of an economic recovery could offset unpopularity after years of deep austerity measures in a country where one in five is unemployed.
He may also be hoping for a terrorist attack to be timed just before the election. Not like it hasn't happened before.
Zapatero has been criticized for reacting too late to Spain’s economic turmoil after a burst property bubble, and polls show the conservative People’s Party (PP), led by Mariano Rajoy, likely to defeat the Socialists with an absolute majority in November.

The Gesop opinion poll for Catalonian daily El Periodico showed on Monday a total of 46 percent of voters intend to choose the PP. It also showed the Socialists, led into the elections by former Interior Minister Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba, obtaining 31.4 percent of votes.

The election campaign will officially start on Nov. 4.

FEC Bureaucrats Declare That Foreign Born US Citizens Can Run For US President
Guyana-born naturalized American citizen fits the Federal Elections Commission's requirements to run for president, the FEC announced in a ruling.

The case involves New York lawyer Abdul Hassan, who was born in the South American country in 1974. Hassan argues it is discriminatory to not allow him to run for office.

Hassan, meanwhile, petitioned the FEC to allow him to run for president, arguing the Federal Election Campaign Act does not bar naturalized citizens from running.

In its official response earlier this month, the FEC agreed with Hassan's logic.

The FEC’s ruling, which did not receive any news media attention, concluded that a naturalized citizen is not prohibited by the Federal Election Campaign Act from becoming a "candidate" as defined under the act.

However, a naturalized citizen is not eligible to receive federal matching funds under the FEC's Presidential Primary Matching Payment Account Act.

Stated the FEC ruling: "In regard to the definition of 'person,' the act defines that term as including 'an individual, partnership, committee, association, corporation, labor organization, or any other organization or group of persons,' excluding the federal government. There is no reference to natural born or naturalized citizens. As an individual, Mr. Hassan is a 'person' under the Act.”

While the FEC's own rules now allow Hassan to run for high office, the attorney must still clear judicial hurdles before his eligibility could become official.

In his legal argument, Hassan contended the constitutional eligibility clause discriminates against naturalized citizens.

He cites Supreme Court rulings that interpret the Constitution as providing "equal protection" to naturalized citizens. Other rulings cited by Hassan guarantee against the discrimination of naturalized citizens.

"The natural born requirement, that was adapted in the 1780s at a time when slavery was also a part of the constitution," Hassan told Klein.

Hassan added the eligibility requirement should be reinterpreted in a way that would allow naturalized citizens to run for president.

Ah, yes progressivism, no need to follow Article V, just reinterpret it. It is what we say it is regardless of the words on the paper. BTW, ask the Supremes to actually adhere to 'equal protection' when it comes to defacto quotas that have been in effect for three generations.

By that argument, the entire Constitution is invalid due to the time when it was written. Nice try, thanks for playing!

Air Force Unveils New Microwave Missile
Modern armies rely on a wide range of electronics to help detect their enemies, coordinate their forces and aim their weapons. Today, knocking out those electronics requires sophisticated jamming aircraft, targeting the people using the electronics or the tech-frying side effects of a nuclear blast. But in the future, disabling enemy electronics may only take a single rocket totally harmless to humans, thanks to a new microwave missile developed by the U.S. Air Force.

The missile showed its ability to take aim at many targets and locations during a first flight test at the Utah Test and Training Range at Hill Air Force Base earlier this year. Upcoming tests could demonstrate its disabling power with high-power microwaves capable of burning out the electronics of even the most sophisticated air defenses, command and control centers, fighter jets and drones.

That first test of the Counter-electronics High-powered Microwave Advanced Missile Project (CHAMP) was recently unveiled by Boeing and the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory.

"It was as close to the real thing as we could get for this test," said Keith Coleman, CHAMP program manager for Boeing Phantom Works. "This demonstration, which brings together the Air Force Research Laboratory's directed energy technology and Boeing's missile design, sets the stage for a new breed of nonlethal but highly effective weapon systems."

The three-year, $38 million program could deploy up to five prototype missiles, according to the Air Force solicitation issued in December 2008. A fully functional missile would have the capability to take out multiple targets and take multiple shots with high-power microwaves by itself.

Such missiles may not necessarily help U.S. forces in the ongoing fight against insurgent forces in Afghanistan. But they could prove more useful in scenarios resembling the recent Libya bombing campaign, where NATO planes and missiles assaulted the forces of former dictator MoammarGadhafi while trying to minimize civilian casualties.

The missiles might even help knock out swarms of enemy drones or manned aircraft before they ever get off the ground. It's unclear if they could also target such aircraft in flight.

Encrypted bacteria used to send secret messages
Scientists encrypted a secret message into genetically-engineered E. coli bacteria using a method that one day may be useful for preventing counterfeiting or covert communications.

The E. coli were modified to glow and express one of seven colors, which were used to create a coding system that allowed for the entire alphabet, the digits 1-9 and some symbols, according to a paper in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The research was funded by the U.S. Department of Defense through its Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
Could it be that Egypt's pumping of sewage into Gaza smuggling tunnels is actually an attempt by the Muslim Brotherhood to communicate with its minions?

MOH Recipient Dakota Meyer Wants to Join FDNY Liberal Judge Says No
What an honor for New York that Marine Corps Sgt. Dakota Meyer wants to join the FDNY.

What a disgrace to the federal bench that one willful judge placed himself squarely in Meyer's path.

Sgt. Dakota Meyer stood tall when President Obama draped the Medal of Honor -- the nation's highest commendation for military valor -- around his neck on Sept. 15.

Just as he stood tall during a 2009 ambush in Afghanistan, when Meyer saved 13 Americans and 23 Afghan troops, retrieved the bodies of four slain Americans and killed at least eight Taliban terrorists.

And now he wants to join the FDNY.

Alas, it turns out that he missed the filing deadline for a January entrance exam by a matter of hours. By the rules, he would have to wait four years to apply again.

Big deal, you say.

Waive the rules for Sgt. Meyer, you say.

Ah, but it's not that simple.

The FDNY, you see, is in the iron grip of Brooklyn Federal Judge Nicholas Garaufis, who believes the department discriminates against minorities and who long ago appointed himself de facto deputy fire commissioner for hiring.

Garaufis set the deadline Meyer barely missed -- and even though City Hall wanted to grant an exception, under the Garaufis rules only Garaufis can issue dispensations.

And you thought the divine right of kings went out of fashion centuries ago? Wrong.

Thus did the matter become a federal case.

Happily, King Nicholas seems to have realized that he was in a tough spot, public-relations-wise, and gave the Marine a pass.

Guess what? Meyer, true to his character, refused it -- not wanting any special privileges. He should reconsider.

Serving as an FDNY firefighter, Meyer had told The Post, is "a way I feel I can do my part in giving back to America."

True, he's already done enough.

But honoring the city, the site of the 9/11 terror attacks, as a firefighter would only add to his record. Special privileges or no.

Maybe there is a role for Sgt. Meyer as a Federal Judge in Brooklyn.

#2  Any fire department in the country should be proud and honored to have Sgt. Meyer as a member. This kid refused a call from the PRESIDENT of THE UNITED STATES - because he (Meyers) was working. Obama called back when Meyers was on a break.

Tea Party Group Casts National Debt as a Household Budget
America's ever-growing debt crisis is in the trillions -- more than $14 trillion, give or take a few billion.

That's a lot of zeros, numbers so large they're sure to make Americans numb when trying to get their arms around what it means to them.

But what would the federal debt crisis look like if you set it up as a household budget?

A heck of a lot simpler, according to new figures from one Tea Party group, which estimates the government "household" spends nearly twice as much as it takes in every year, has a credit card bill nearly seven times annual income and cuts back less than 2 percent of that spending in an effort to control the debt.

"We had discussed about how any citizen needs to understand what the proposed cuts mean," said Laurie Newsom, president of the Gainesville, Fla., Tea Party. "One of our members had figured it out and put it in terms of a household budget. If you ran a household with these numbers, you would see that it's simply not enough."

The group looked at some key figures, mainly tax revenue, the current federal budget, debt and budget cuts, and divided each figure by $100 million, in an effort to break it down into simple terms that most Americans can comprehend. The group posted its findings online and came up with a household with an average family income of $21,700. But that "family" spent nearly twice that -- $38,200 -- and has an existing credit card balance of a whopping $142,710.

"Everyone tries to keep things extremely simple for these things meant for general public consumption and of course there's a give-and-take with that," said Seth Rabinowitz, a partner with Silicon Associates, an economics-focused management consulting firm based in California. "I would make it clearer for the layman. They used the line 'Money the family spent'...but really that means, 'Money the family spent (last year and intends to spend this year again).' "

"However, when you remove those eight zeros, the $385 spending cuts obviously aren't even visible. They don't even make a dent," he said.

The bottom line, according to Newsom: "Cuts won't take care of it. You need business growth, which we wouldn't have in a regulatory environment."
Bottom line: We're fucked. Have a nice day.

#2  This method of analysis is brilliant in its ability to get the message across to the average person that the current fiscal path is simply unsustainable and is a sure path to utter disaster and doom for the country. Hopefully this will wake some people up. We need to drastically cut spending, regulation, and taxes across the board. The only way out of this hole is to grow our way out of it. There is no other choice.

#4  JohnQC- yes, that is absolutely correct. We need to slash government spending, regulation, and taxes across the board.

#5  Yeah, right. Noticed Herman Cain. Was getting a lot of support here from the "right". You know, the Republican candidate that wants to institute a new tax, THE national sales tax. Something the Dems have been wanting (VAT Tax) and who will exploit it if Cain does establish a national sales tax. Wow, how lost in the woods the right is.

#6  read 9-9-9 poster #5. It's a plan, a simple common sense way for the bloated government to collect its taxes. Hell of alot better than the tax code we have now, unless you are one of the 48% that don't pay income taxes.
Posted by: bman || 09/27/2011 15:55 Comments || Top||

#7  The Dems WILL covert the Income Tax back to what it is today AND keep the National Sales Tax. Congratulations, "Tea Party".

#8  Consumption taxes promote the use of money for savings and investment and capital formation, in the absence of capital gains taxes and confiscatory income tax rates and excise taxes. This is better than instead of wrongly diverting money into favored government areas like tax shelters and loopholes. Everyone pays the tax when they buy something, even scum like drug dealers, pimps, and Warren Buffett. However it must be restricted carefully or you end up with the VAT nightmare.

#12  The Tea Party illustrated this well. We produced a similar short piece on what our budget deficit looks like compared to a monthly household budget. Either way, the numbers are astounding.
