Suspect, 18, accused in murder of Georgia police officer is shot, killed by cops
[FOX] An 18-year-old man wanted in the murder of a Georgia cop was shot and killed by police Monday after they encountered him holding a lawnmower blade in a shed, police said, ending a massive manhunt two days after the 30-year-old officer was murdered.

Authorities located Tafahree Maynard on Monday morning after officers began investigating a tip the suspect was spotted in the Snellville area within the last 12 hours. Officers encountered Maynard in a shed and he "failed to comply" with verbal commands, Police Chief Butch Ayers said in a news conference on Monday.

An officer reportedly deployed a Taser and found Maynard was holding a lawnmower blade behind his back, leading to a second cop firing his gun. Maynard was pronounced dead at the scene.

Judge Dabney Friedrich Orders Mueller To Prove Russian Company Meddled In Election
[Zero via Tea Party] ‐ A Washington federal judge on Thursday ordered special counsel Robert Mueller’s team to clarify election meddling claims lodged against a Russian company operated by Yevgeny Prigozhin, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to Bloomberg.

Concord Management and Consulting, LLC. ‐ one of three businesses indicted by Mueller in February along with 13 individuals for election meddling, surprised the special counsel in April when they actually showed up in court to fight the charges. Mueller’s team tried to delay Concord from entering the case, arguing that thee Russian company not been properly served, however Judge Dabney Friedrich denied the request ‐ effectively telling prosecutors ’well, they’re here.’

Concord was accused in the indictment of supporting the Internet Research Agency (IRA), a Russian ’troll farm’ accused of trying to influence the 2016 US election.

On Thursday, Judge Freidrich asked Mueller’s prosecutors if she should assume they aren’t accusing Concord of violating US laws applicable to election expenditures and failure to register as a foreign agent.

Giant inflatable colon stolen in Kansas City
[WDSU News] KANSAS CITY, Mo. ‐ An inflatable colon used to teach about the dangers of colon cancer has been stolen, according to the University of Kansas Cancer Center.

The inflatable colon was swiped from a parked pickup truck. It's valued at $4,000.

"Colon cancer is a tough subject for many to talk about and the giant, 150 pound, 10-foot long inflatable colon is a great conversation starter," said John Ashcraft, a surgical oncologist at The University of Kansas Cancer Center.

The inflatable colon is owned by the Cancer Coalition, which hosts walk/run events under a campaign called "Get Your Rear In Gear."

The Cancer Coalition ships the inflatable colon across the country for walkers and runners to see and learn about the progression of colon cancer in a unique way. The inflatable colon was on its way to the annual Sisters Living Beyond Breast Cancer 5K Relay Walk on Saturday in Kansas City.

Ex-US Navy commander gets 30 months in prison for accepting ‘Fat Leonard’ bribes
[SCMP] In an email arranging to hand over US Navy information to flamboyant contractor Leonard Francis, Navy Commander Troy Amundson described himself as "a small dog just trying to get a bone".

Later that night, Francis organised several hookers from Mongolia for Amundson, prosecutors say, just one in a string of bribes Francis paid for leaked military data.

On Friday, Amundson was sentenced to 30 months in prison. He joins the ranks of more than a dozen other US Navy officials whose military service is now tarnished with felony records for getting cosy with Francis in what has become the worst corruption scandal to hit the navy in decades.

Amundson, a decorated combat pilot, told the judge that he did not realise what he was doing was illegal. The schedules of port visits in Southeast Asia he gave Francis were not classified and were regularly given to contractors, his lawyers said.

But the judge disagreed, pointing to the secrecy with which Amundson operated.

"It was calculated. It was deliberate," US District Judge Janis Sammartino said on Friday. "As decorated as you were, it’s hard to fathom why you’d sell out for so little."

Unlike other navy officials who served Francis ‐ nicknamed "Fat Leonard" ‐ and his Glenn Defence Marine Asia contracting company, Amundson did not accept cash. But he had a good time on Francis’ dime: lavish meals, parties, hotel stays and hookers.

He has agreed to pay US$21,625 in restitution ‐ an amount Amundson says stems from a night at a casino ‐ and a US$10,000 fine.

From 2008 to 2012 Amundson was based in Singapore as a Cooperation Afloat and Readiness Training, or CARAT, exercise officer and theatre engagement manager for the commander, Logistics Group Pacific. The role had him leading exercises with other nations.

Amundson said he was suspicious of GDMA’s seemingly excessive billing and did not deal with Francis. GDMA provided husbanding services to visiting war ships, from rubbish removal to water to security.

Warren Took DNA Test to Help Rebuild 'Trust in Government'
Democratic U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren says she changed her mind and took a DNA test proving her heritage because Americans' trust in government is "at an all-time low" and she wants to rebuild it.

Democratic U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Sunday that she changed her mind recently and took a DNA test proving her heritage because Americans' trust in government is "at an all-time low" and she wanted to help rebuild it by being transparent.
Yep. Now everyone can see right through you.
The incumbent Massachusetts senator spoke at her second debate against Republican state Rep. Geoff Diehl in the U.S. Senate race.

She was asked by a moderator why she had said, in March, that no DNA test was needed to prove she had some Native American heritage. She said she ultimately took the test, reporting the result last week that showed a relative six to 10 generations ago was Native American.

Ultimately, she said, she took a DNA test because she believes one way to rebuild trust in government is by posting her full family history online "so anybody can take a look. ... I believe one way that we try to rebuild confidence is through transparency."
The problem is, I don't know where to look to see who has weasel DNA in the mix.

Wave of Vietnamese Americans run for office in Orange County
[FOX] A wave of Vietnamese Americans – more than half of whom share the same last name – are running for public office in Orange County, California, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Among the 24 candidates who are running for different offices, 13 share the same last name: Nguyen.

Little Saigon, an enclave in Orange County that comprises Garden Grove, Westminster, and Fountain Valley, is home to one of the largest concentrations of Vietnamese outside of Vietnam.

Karthick Ramakrishnan, a UC Riverside professor quoted by The Times, credited the rise in the Vietnamese’ political participation to their increasing “influence in central O.C. policies.”

She said the wave of Vietnamese Americans has its origins in the years immediately following the Vietnam War, during which thousands of Vietnamese refugees resettled in California.

The name “Nguyen” is the most common Vietnamese surname. Its origins lie in a dynasty that ruled Vietnam until Communist revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh took control of the North in 1945. Today, as many as 40 percent of Vietnamese people answer to “Nguyen,” according to some estimates.

Floods in Qatar as Almost a Year's Rain Falls in One Day
[An Nahar] Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
was hit by widespread flash flooding on Saturday as the desert state received almost a year's worth of rainfall in one day.

Roads became impassable, air traffic was disrupted and homes were flooded, while shops and universities closed.

Qatar broadcaster Al Jazeera's senior meteorologist, Steff Gaulter, tweeted that one part of the capital Doha had experienced almost a year's worth of rain on Saturday.

"Abu Hamor (a suburb) now reporting 59.8mm. (Doha average annual rainfall is 77mm.)," she wrote.

By early evening it was estimated that 61mm of rain had fallen.

Qatar Airways was forced to divert some flights, creating logistical headaches, as neighbors Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain are among states that do not allow Doha to use their airspace, due to an ongoing diplomatic rift.

Some Qatar-bound flights were forced to divert to Kuwait and Iran and the airline warned its passengers to expect further problems.

"Due to weather conditions over Doha, flights are subject to delays for departure and arrivals," Qatar Airways said on Twitter.

Qatar's public works authority issued a warning to drivers to avoid tunnels because of the flooding.

Social media in Qatar showed cars almost completely submerged under water, after thunderstorms over Doha.

DRC rebels kill 13, abduct a dozen children in Ebola epicentre
[Al Jazeera] Congolese rebels have killed 13 civilians and kidnapped a dozen children in an attack at the centre of the latest deadly Ebola outbreak, the Democratic Republic of the Congo
...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material...
's military said.

The Allied Democratic Forces rebels attacked Congolese army positions and several neighbourhoods of Beni in the DRC on Saturday and into Sunday, a senior army official told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named.

The rebels have killed hundreds of civilians in recent years and are just one of several rebel groups active in the DRC's far northeast.

Child kidnappings for ransom are a relatively new phenomenon in the North Kivu region, where Beni is located, making exact figures on the issue difficult to find.

UN Accuses Machar’s South Sudan Rebel Group of Crimes against Humanity
[AAWSAT] The United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
has accused South Sudan armed opposition group, led by Riek Machar, of committing crimes against humanity in the Western Equatoria region. The accusations are the first-ever charges by the UN against Machar’s movement.

According to the UN, in April 2018 before the peace agreement signed in August, Sudan People’s Liberation Army- in Opposition (SPLA-IO) forcefully took 900 people including children and women.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pond, Gloria again dodged the questing tip of the giant frog's tongue and ran for her life...
the International Committee of the Red Thingy (ICRC) said it has facilitated the release of 24 persons detained in relation to the conflict in South Sudan, including 16 detainees released earlier on Friday.

This week marks the first releases of prisoners supervised by the ICRC following the signing of the latest peace agreement in which parties to the conflict agreed to free detainees.

The ICRC statement, a copy of which was obtained by Asharq al-Awsat, confirmed the release of the war captives to be the first batch since the agreement signing on September 12. However,
there is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened...
the organization refused to release the names of those released.

UN charges facing the SPLA-IO included killings, rape, slavery, forced recruitment, destruction of more than 28 villages and the targeting of civilians.

The UN said that other than kidnapping 900 people, the rebel movement forced more than 2,000 people to flee their homes between April and August.

Mexican officials GIVE UP on stopping caravan – and it's WAY BIGGER NOW!
[Right Scoop] Well this is terrible news. Mexican officials were unable to stop the migrant caravan from Honduras and they’re instead helping them out now. And it’s way bigger now.

From the Associated Press:
Federal police monitored the caravan’s progress from a helicopter and had a few units escorting it. Outside Tapachula, about 500 black-uniformed officers briefly gathered along the highway on buses and in patrol units, but they said their orders were to maintain traffic and not to stop the caravan. They moved on toward the city before the caravan reached them.

As the migrants passed through villages on the outskirts of Ciudad Hidalgo, locals applauded, shouted encouragement and donated supplies.

And even more openly:
Mexico’s Interior Department said in a statement that federal and Chiapas state authorities were providing assistance to migrants, including legal counseling for those who applied for asylum. It released a video showing workers doling out food, medicine and medical treatment.

Yah, that’s bad. Especially after it seemed that Mexico was willing to work on behalf of the U.S. to stop the caravan. This is a yuge mistake and it’s stupid to think Trump won’t take retaliatory action.

It sounds like many Mexican nationals are hopping on board the effort:

The throng grew even larger than when the migrants arrived at the border bridge Friday, swelling overnight to 5,000 or so.

It was not immediately clear where the additional travelers came from since about 2,000 had been gathered on the Mexican side Saturday night. But people have been joining and leaving the caravan daily, some moving at their own pace and strung out in a series of columns.

I know it’s popular to believe on the right that these people are being paid off by Soros, but I think that is unlikely. They are getting support from Mexican citizens along the way who probably feel bad for them:

#1  Mexican officials GIVE UP on stopping caravan – and it's WAY BIGGER NOW!

#13  Has there ever been a clearer argument for a border wall?

Tax remittances by 75% or 90% or whatever the communists typically tax their people and use the money to build a wall. A big beautiful wall similar to the Great Wall of China. Make it a tourist attraction visible from space that can stand for centuries as a marker of Democrat shenanigans and their results.

The hefty tax will discourage folks from coming and in fact will encourage folks to leave and pay money to their family in person and as a bonus it'll take out a third of the Mexican economy in one shot for backstabbing the US again and again on this issue.

Pres. Trump says 'major tax cut for middle-income people' coming in 10 days
[Washington Examiner] President Trump said Saturday he plans to roll out a major tax cut to the middle class before November.

"We are looking at putting in a very major tax cut for middle-income people. And if we do that it'll be sometime just prior, I would say, to November," Trump told reporters after his rally in Nevada Saturday. "We are studying very deeply right now round the clock a major tax cut for middle income people."

Trump has taken criticism from Democrats for his tax cuts, which they claim only help large corporations and the top 1 percent. But Trump said the tax cuts he is looking to implement soon would not be related to businesses whatsoever.

"Kevin Brady is working on it, Paul Ryan is working on it," said Trump. "I would say sometime around the first of November, maybe a little before then."

Medical examination of minor domestic worker confirms brutal torture
[DAWN] A medical examination of minor domestic worker Kinza has confirmed that she has suffered torture allegedly by her employers, Major Ammara Riaz and Dr Mohsin Riaz, who the police say are on the run as a case has been registered against the couple, DawnNewsTV reported on Sunday.

According to the medical report released by Benazir Bhutto
... 11th Prime Minister of Pakistain in two non-consecutive terms from 1988 until 1990 and 1993 until 1996. She was the daughter of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, founder of the Pakistain People's Party, who was murdered at the instigation of General Ayub Khan. She was murdered in her turn by person or persons unknown while campaigning in late 2007. Suspects include, to note just a few, Baitullah Mehsud, General Pervez Musharraf, the ISI, al-Qaeda in Pakistain, and her husband, Asif Ali Zardari, who shows remarkably little curiosity about who done her in...
Hospital, Rawalpindi, an examination was done to investigate the extent of the injuries suffered by the 11-year-old house servant.

Results from the ultrasound revealed that there were swelling and tenderness in Kinza's abdominal region and her chest and ribcage are also tender to the touch.

Kinza's left shoulder and left arm were tender and "not moving on their own", as reported by the medical-legal officer (MLO) in the report. Moreover, her neck had multiple old wound marks determined to be caused by fingernails; no bruises or swelling, however, were observed, the report read.

The report further stated that she had a mark on her right cheek and her right eye had slight damage to the cornea. Kinza's head also has a deep cut on her left side which is "bleeding actively" according to the MLO's report.

The findings mentioned above are all consistent with Kinza's account of the torture which she reported in a video that surfaced on Twitter on Saturday. The report confirms that there is evidence of torture carried out 15-20 days ago using "knife, belts and persons standing on her straight with full weight multiple times".

North Dakota women could buy marijuana-infused ‘inserts' for menstrual pain if recreational measure passes
[FOX] If North Dakota residents vote to next month to legalize recreational marijuana, women in the state could be able to purchase an unusual item that’s said relieve menstrual-related pain: cannabis-infused inserts.
Perhaps this will help end dangerous texting and driving.
A company called Foria, which makes cannabis-infused inserts, or vaginal suppositories, could sell the product in the state if the measure passes, KVLY-TV reported.

One Park River resident, Stephanie Carlson, told the new station she’d be willing to try the product, noting that she'd be the "first in line" to purchase it.

"I just want to be able to have that one week a month to not be hunkered down in pain. I want to be functional," Carlson said.

Foria, which, according to KVLY-News, already sells its products in states such as Colorado and California where recreational marijuana has been legalized, says on its website that the vaginal suppositories are "specifically formulated for relief from menstrual discomfort."

The product, called "Foria Relief," "delivers the soothing benefits of full-spectrum cannabis directly to the area that needs it most ‐ typically with little or no psychoactive effects," the company added.

#1  "...benefits of full-spectrum cannabis...."

its almost certain that only one or two of the components of marijuana produce pain relief; some of the components are probably toxic

if the Fed govt would take marijuana off the schedule one list it would really help with research on the various components

Hoosier Gosnellites Tell Their Attorney General to ‘Stop Chipping Away at ROE'
[Daily Caller] Indiana abortion advocates are calling on Republican Attorney General Curtis Hill to back off from a state abortion law that would place limits on abortions in certain circumstances.

Calls for Hill to end his defense of the state’s abortion law come in reaction to his Monday request for the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse a block on a 2016 law passed by then-Gov. Mike Pence. The law requires abortion clinics and facilities that provide abortions to bury or cremate aborted babies rather than dispose of them as medical waste.

"Nothing in the Constitution prohibits states from requiring health facilities to provide an element of basic human dignity in disposing of fetuses," Hill said in a statement, The Chicago Tribune reported Sunday.

"It’s disappointing that the state of Indiana continues to defend these unconstitutional and medically unnecessary abortion restrictions," Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky (PPINK) President Christie Gillespie said in a statement, according to the Tribune. "By appealing to the Supreme Court, the state of Indiana is trying to not only chip away at Hoosiers’ rights, but also threaten the rights of people seeking safe and legal abortion care across the country," she added.

#1  The judiciary can come up with a thousand ways to obstruct the death penalty on someone obviously guilty in a cruel and depraved murder of another human, but can come ups with a thousand excuses why a full qualified preemie can be butchered partially in a birth canal.

And that is why, even though Roe vs Wade could be overturned and the issue goes back to the states to determine to do or not to do, the infanticide crowd doesn't want real debate on the issue in the statehouses.
