[NYP] The accused ringleaders of a network of "sophisticated high-end brothels" that serviced politicians, military officials and government contractors kept "impeccable" records of their illicit operation which netted them over a million dollars, one of the top federal investigators on the case revealed Wednesday.
The new details about the prostitution ring, which operated in luxury apartments in Massachusetts and Virginia, were included in an affidavit submitted to the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts on Wednesday by Department of Homeland Security Special Agent Zachary Mitlitsky.
The DHS agent argued that two of the co-conspirators in the case, Han Lee and Junmyung Lee, could have access to even more funds than investigators are already aware of and thus pose a flight risk and should remain behind bars.
Han, described by Mitlitsky as the leader of the scheme, "concealed over one million dollars in prostitution proceeds," according to the filing.
[NYPOST] Ohio mass shooter Benjamin Jones spouted white supremacist conspiracy theories and had been admitted to a hospital for mental health evaluations three times in the past two years, a source revealed to The Post.
Jones, 20 — who turned a Hi-Point .45-caliber carbine long gun on himself after opening fire at a Walmart in Beavercreek, near Dayton, on Monday, injuring four shoppers — also never attended public school, and hung a Nazi flag on the wall behind his bed, according to the source.
"There were warning signs and red flags," the source told The Post a day after the shooting, as the first pictures of the suspect emerged, showing him sporting long, shaggy brown locks and scruffy facial hair.
"He talked about right-wing conspiracy theories, that the Holocaust didn’t happen, 9/11 didn’t happen; he’d started talking about white supremacy ...the pernicious doctrine that laws were intended to be obeyed, that society works better when people don't pour shreiking from their places of worship every Friday for a weekend of rioting over insults real or imagined; and that cannibalism, beastiality, incest, murder, theft, rape, and similar activities are bad. A Dead White European (which invalidates his opinion) philosopher once opined that societies thrive when a person's word can be relied upon, and that a society which puts individual happiness first will invariably fail. Strangely enough, other successful societies, such as China, Japan, Korea, and those kinds of places could also be lumped with white supremacist societies, since they push the same values... stuff."
A man and three women — one of whom remains at death's door — were maimed in the shooting, which came a day after a murder-suicide in the parking lot of an Alaska Walmart.
Jones killed himself before he could be apprehended, and his motives were unclear. However, we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by... the source, who was close to him, painted a portrait of a troubled young man who was "not socialized" and had only attended online Christian school.
"He had been to the hospital three times over the last two years on 72-hour mental evaluations. His mother had him put in [the hospital] once, then he put himself in," the insider said, adding that Jones lived with his mother.
"We thought that would be a red flag to authorities, nobody thought he could get a gun, but he’d talked about getting hold of one."
It was unclear how Jones obtained his firearm.
Under federal law, anyone who is involuntarily committed to a mental institution is prohibited from buying a firearm.
[NYPOST] The US government dealt a massive blow to the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance as its founder, Changpeng Zhao, pleaded guilty to a felony charge Tuesday related to his failure to prevent money laundering on his platform.
Binance also agreed to a roughly $4 billion settlement with the US over violations of the Bank Secrecy Act and apparent violations of sanctions programs, including failure to put into place a suspicious transaction reporting programs. Zhao announced that he stepped down as the company’s chief executive.
Over the summer, the company was accused of operating as an unregistered securities exchange and violating a slew of US securities laws in a lawsuit from regulators. That case was similar to practices uncovered after the collapse of FTX, the second largest cryptocurrency exchange, last year.
"Binance became the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange in part because of the crimes it committed — now it is paying one of the largest corporate penalties in US history," said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland. "The message here should be clear: using new technology to break the law does not make you a disruptor, it makes you a criminal."

Problem with moderns 'managing' war. You don't manage war, you execute it. If we had gone full Mongol after 9/11 would any of this be happening? Would Pakistan provided shelter to OBL?

[Journeyman Pictures] Four Died Trying explores the extraordinary lives and calamitous deaths of President John F. Kennedy, Malcolm X, the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Robert F. Kennedy.
Filmed primarily from the vantage point of their children, close associates, and witnesses to their assassinations, the series considers the "turning" each of these men were making in the last year or so of their lives. Were they embracing ever-broader conceptions of the struggle for peace, social change and economic justice, and what forces may have stirred in opposition? What lessons do their lives and deaths hold for us today, as the world once again trembles on the cliff of an uncertain future?
Six years in the making, with nearly a hundred interviews and counting, Four Died Trying is scheduled for release in November 2023, to help commemorate the 60th anniversary of President Kennedy's assassination.

True enough of the other three. But Malcom X appears to have led a reasonably respectable personal life for years after getting out of prison. (Though admittedly not before.)
[MAIL] A motorist who plowed into the Canadian border sparking terror fears was a New York businessman driving a $300,000 Bentley 'Flying Spur' with his wife in the passenger seat, it has emerged.
The 56-year-old businessman and his wife, who have not been named, died when the supercar smashed into the US checkpoint and burst into flames at 11.27am.
They had been at the Seneca Niagara casino resort prior to the explosion - but were only there for 'minutes', a spokesman told DailyMail.com.
'We are cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation into the incident that occurred near the Rainbow Bridge,' the spokesman said.
'We have reviewed and provided information related to a vehicle that stopped at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino only for a matter of minutes shortly before the crash occurred.'
Sources within the casino said the couple were not believed to be regulars, and were possibly only in the resort to change money.
They were intending on driving to a Kiss concert in Canada, CNN's John Miller reported, which was later canceled due to a bandmember suffering from flu.
Miller said there was some speculation the driver, from a well-known family in Grand Isle, New York, had a medical issue.
It’s Grand Island, actually The French called it La Grande Île, but they lost it in the French & Indian War, then New York State bought it from the Iroquois in 1815. Shortly thereafter it was proposed as a homeland for the world’s Jews, but nothing came of it.

An exploding Bentley Flying Spur? Air bag eruption? Anti-theft grenades? Nitroglycerin filled Michelins? Occupants headed to a black powder turkey shoot? Vehicle registration? Dealer? Cell phones ?
Grieving family members, neighbors? celebration of life event ?
No terrorist attack here. No, the bodies were unrecognizable and will likely remain as such. This sort of thing rarely happens in NY. Move along please, nothing more to be seen here.

Sorry. Unless vehicle was utterly reduced to ash, you can get a VIN, find out who owns it and start looking for who is missing. No need for fancy CSI: Clueless machinations.
Don't even bother trying to tell me a toll collection or traffic control system camera didn't catch the license plate.

My roomie's thinking there were a few grill-sized propane cylinders (full ones) in the trunk. One of the bits of flying debris did look a bit convex / concave, but that doesn't necessarily connect those dots.
Heh. Thirty years ago I did a Thanksgiving turkey on the Weber Silver grill, smoked w/ a couple of chunks of hickory & oak chips. It was one of my finest works.

Yeah, I thought "mob hit" once I heard about the Bentley and the quick visit to the casin0. But whatever the gum'ment tells us might be tough to believe.
[PAGESIX] Susan Sarandon was seemingly unfazed after a major Hollywood talent agency decided to drop the actress over her controversial remarks about Jews. Ain't that cute? Susie's got a proletarian hat.
Sarandon was photographed Wednesday appearing in good spirits with a pleasant smirk on her face as she walked in New York City.
Smirks are never pleasant. That’s the point.
The Oscar winner was dressed in a Simpsons-themed bomber jacket, gray pants, gray and red sneakers, a newsboy cap and maroon-colored gloves. Looks more like a high school class jacket to me. It'd look out of place on a B-17. So would Susie.
Mutton dressed as lamb, as they say. The poor dear is not aging well, despite botox and good bones.
The casual ensemble was very similar to the one Sarandon, 77, wore when she was snapped at a "Shut It Down for Paleostine" protest last Friday at Union Square.

BLUF:
[BLAZE] "Donald Trump is running for president again in the United States, as you know," said Tucker. "What advice would you give him?"
"He should continue his fight against socialism because he is one of the few who truly understood that we are fighting socialism, that we are fighting the statists. He understood perfectly that the generation of wealth comes from the private sector. The state does not create wealth; the state destroys it. The state can give you nothing because it produces nothing, and when it attempts it, it does so poorly," Milei answered.
"So I’d say, if I could humbly offer advice, all I could say would be to double down on his efforts in the same direction: defending the ideals of freedom and refusing to give an inch to the socialists."

Some social media users have also posted photos of children doing homework while receiving intravenous drips in the hospital.
The media reports suggest “a widespread outbreak of an undiagnosed respiratory illness in several areas in China,” according to the International Society for Infectious Diseases Program for Monitoring Emerging Diseases (ProMED).
“It is not at all clear when this outbreak started, as it would be unusual for so many children to be affected so quickly,” the body said, but reports of illness predominantly showing up in children suggest “some exposure at the schools.”
China maintained a policy known as Covid zero, marked by strict lockdowns and quarantines, mass testing, and rigorous contact tracing, for nearly two years before abandoning it last December.
Chinese authorities attributed the spike in illnesses to the lifting of these hard-line restrictions, which prevented the spread of other illnesses as well as Covid, in addition to an autumn cold snap and the circulation of known pathogens including respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), influenza and mycoplasma pneumonia.

Good think the Covid vaccine didn't weaken the immune system right? RIGHT???

China has long been the birthplace of epidemics. They have cooked up in China and then rolled out to the rest of the world for just about forever. Influenza type diseases are avian diseases that jump species into pigs and then cross into humans. It starts with whatever the ducks in Canton China get crossed into the pigs, and then make the easy hop into people.
In order to make the transitions, you need large numbers of hosts in close proximity. Hence China.

[Gateway] Reporters from FOX 32 News in Chicago were recently trying to film the construction of a massive ’migrant camp’ in the city but were prevented from doing so by workers at the site.
First, the workers used a truck to block the view, then they put up a tarp on the chain-link fence.
What is the city of Chicago trying to hide and why are they doing it?
From FOX 32:
’What about us?’ Chicago residents push back against migrant site as construction gets underway
After months of pushback from community members, a migrant encampment on Chicago’s South Side is becoming a reality.
Residents who live near 115th and Halsted say construction has been ramping up over the last several days. Yet, officials have not been forthcoming about the details...
On Sunday afternoon, FOX 32 drove to the encampment site to film the progress — but it was something construction crews were quick to cover up.
Behind a newly installed chain link fence that surrounds a once bustling grocery store, there is no denying that movement was being made. Mounds of dirt are on site, along with construction equipment and crew members.
"I heard they were out until 1 o’clock in the morning," said Annette Cain, community member.
However, the work being completed Sunday wasn’t visible for long. Within 15 minutes of FOX 32 arriving there, a Department of Water Management truck was positioned directly in front of our crew’s camera and tripod — seemingly to obstruct the view.
That’s not all. Workers then lined the chain link fence with a black privacy screen. Now, those passing by cannot see into the lot.
[Breitbart] Filmmaker Rob Reiner said Tuesday on MSNBC’s "The Beat" that voting for former President Donald Trump in 2024 will cause the United States to "slip into fascism."
Reiner said, "Last segment you talked about how young people are confused. They don’t like Trump, they don’t like Biden, they can’t decide who they want to vote for. But I’m trying to impress upon people as best I can that every time we have a presidential election, they always say, this is the most important election of our lifetime, they’re tired of it, this one actually is."
He continued, "You have one candidate in Trump who actually tells you he’s going to govern like an authoritarian. He says it. It’s not a mystery. And you have another guy who has been there, knows how to run the government, believes in the Constitution, believes in democracy, the rule of law, and you’ve got to make a choice. You have to make a choice. Do we want fascism, or do we want to continue the 248 years of self-rule?"
Reiner added, "Right now we’re at a place where it’s a cross roads. Do we want to continue democracy, or do we want to slip into fascism?"

Given he is of NY Bronx Jewish family birth and supports the LSD agenda. Of which many have clearly shown they lean heavily in the direction of antisemitism. Wouldn't that make him a Kapos,
a traitor to his faith?

Actual democracy is utterly unsustainable, even in carefully run experiments. And "people of the left" would be aghast at some of the things The Majority™ would vote for if all US political matters were settled by plebiscite.

Remember his show "All in the Family" in the 1970s, in which he created the Archie Bunker character so he could expose ordinary working class Americans to ridicule from on high?
How were we supposed to speak out to people like him? Well, we weren't. You think him and his people like us even one little bit? No. They despise us and they tell us all the time.

Rob Reiner wrote several episodes of "All in the Family". He's not blameless, he participated.
Archie Bunker was created so that the show could take cheap shots at white working class people and we couldn't say anything in response.

He had a tweet / X posting that more or less said something similar - 'Vote for Biden or we lose our democracy', something he can't or won't ever expand on. He's a simplistic Johnny one-note for the left.
