I usually try not to post things that cost money to see, but the article does show that perhaps the Obama administration is able to learn something in some areas. Some Rantburgers do have subscriptions to the Wall Street Journal, ryuge. I used to, once upon a time, through Mr. Wife, but he gave it up. If someone who has a subscription would write up the key points of the article, that might encourage some of us to pony up the funds to read the whole thing. The rest will have to be satisfied with the first two paragraphs at the link, or go through Google News, whatever that is.

The real problem we have wrt free speech is the misguided/vested assertion that religions are due respect simply because they exist. Pardon my 'Austrian', but that's disingenuous bullshit. You don't demand respect, you earn it. An Austrian woman who has the misfortunate to have been born on a planet already infected with Islam has no obligation to just suck it up and shut up.
What this paper has shown is that various alternative solutions to the budget problem are largely myths.
Social Security is not protected by its trust fund.

The editorial further wonders if we are on the brink of a confrontation in which "other options" will be used. And if so, who will use them first?
