Being forced to live the life of a native in Afghanistan would count as torture if assigned as punishment by a US court. Cruel and unusual and all that.

Each day His sun will continue to rise for America. It will shine brighter and brighter. What I know for certain is that evil cannot exist in the light.

Our Army deserter will live a long life, and every time someone hears his name someone else will say, isn't he that guy that deserted and Obama traded those guys for him? Those guys that killed Americans? He will live with this shame for the rest of his long life.
What I know for certain is that evil cannot exist in the light.

I just had a thought about an odd parallel. Monica Lewinsky was in the news recently, probably just to get her out of the way now so she is not a pest to Hillary around the 2016 election - anyway, it appears that since the brouhaha years she has not had any gainful employement. Will we be looking at Bergdahl in years to come in a similar way? He is not likely to go to a firing squad but who would ever hire him and for what?
A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
