[The Wrap] Fox News host Shep Smith fired back at an angry viewer on Tuesday, telling a woman on live TV that President Trump was using her "fear of invasion" to whip up votes from his conservative base.
Smith read out loud a tweet from a viewer named "Heidi," who took issue with Smith’s coverage of the migrant "caravan" slowly making its way to the U.S. border.
"Heidi tweets just now, ’Sorry, Shep,'" the anchor read. "We are not falling for your fake story. This is an invasion. This is not a caravan of poor migrants seeking a better life. Yes, there may be some of that there. But you’re full of it if you believe what you’re saying. POTUS has intel. You don’t.'"

Shep Smith is a classic example of the liberal mindset in that "No cause is too expensive if it is paid for with Other People's Money™!" His "I am impartial like Walter Cronkite" mindset became painfully clear in the BP Oil Spill back in 2010 and I have ignored him ever since.
U.S./MEXICO BORDER—The migrant caravan headed for the U.S. has been the center of much controversy, but the problem seems to have solved itself, as the entire caravan has mysteriously disappeared.
In other, unrelated, good news, there's now a really cool-looking giant wooden horse sitting right at the U.S. border, fresh for the taking.
[American Thinker] As television screens fill up with images of the 7,000- to 10,000-strong Honduran migrant army snaking its way up through the belly of Mexico, and President Trump issues warnings that they not cross into the U.S., one group of people, well known for otherwise enjoying grandstanding, has been weirdly silent: Democrats. Fox News has certainly noticed:
Democrats appear to be remaining silent on the issue of the caravan of thousands of immigrants on the march from Central America and unwilling to get into a public debate with President Trump since the midterms are just weeks away.
Where's Sen. Chuck Schumer to weep some blubbery tears for the migrants? Where's House minority leader Nancy Pelosi to fill us in on the state of their souls? Where's the phony rhetoric from ex-president Obama about unskilled, illiterate, and non-English-speaking aliens being an "asset" to our country instead of a drain on its finances? Where's Sen. Bernie Sanders advising us they'll be great socialist voters? Where's Hillary Clinton to tell us they "are citizens" or something of that sort? Where's Rep. Luís Gutiérrez to blame America for the whole thing? Where's Kamala Harris with her love for the cameras?

Leaches that produce nothing tangible must survive by feeding off of the productive. Leaches are sports figures, MSM, Hollywood, academics, politicians, government bureaucrats.
They raise no crops, build no houses, manufacture no cell phones, maintain no live stock. Those who do produce tangible assets are the working class that leaches live off of until the productive are bled to death.
Then they must migrate to the next host where other leaches could use a little help to survïve while unchecked and bleeding out their host.

VP Pence was on CBS News last night saying that Venezuela is funding this march. If that's true then declare war on Venezuela along with Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico.
If we cannot summon the resolve to treat this invasion as the act of war it is then we will lose the war and lose our country.

[Guardian] Ahmad Cheers remembers the day a few years back when he knew his neighborhood was in the throes of change. He noticed a group of bikers, mostly white, riding though the northern tip of Pittsburgh, Atlanta, well after dark.
In some other parts of the city that may not have been remarkable, but here it took him aback.
"It just really surprised me," said Cheers, 28. "When I came to Atlanta in 2008, to be honest you couldn’t really pay white people to come over here."
Named for its resemblance to the steel-milling, hardscrabble Pennsylvania city in the north, Pittsburgh has long been a predominantly black (upwards of 95%, according to the 2010 census) and working-class section of southern in-city Atlanta.
Today the neighborhood, which was ravaged by the 2008 mortgage crisis, when it saw vacancy rates of up to 50%, is in the midst of an economic turnaround. Bright-yellow advertisements announcing "We buy houses" hang on nearly every utility pole and tree, posted by home flippers looking to make a quick buck as prices swell. Pittsburgh local Sohna Harzeez recalls a home down the street from her that was recently sold and painted, then relisted for $100,000 more than before.
A neighborhood becoming safe enough to bike in at night is, on the face of it, a good thing ‐ Cheers himself is an avid rider. It is what so often follows that kind of change that worries him. Like other, similar Atlanta neighborhoods before it, Pittsburgh, with its cheap home prices and attractive location, is attracting wealthier, younger and yes, whiter people, stoking concerns that longtime residents will be pushed out by higher rents, property taxes and, possibly, a cultural shift that says they are no longer welcome.
"It’s scary to see who is going to be priced out of places that they’ve grown up in, and the places that they’ve lived and remained in for so long," said Cheers.
Gentrification is affecting cities around the world, but housing advocates say there’s something especially unsettling about racial dynamics of those forces in Atlanta, a city historically described as a "black mecca". Yikes! This could alter politics and long-standing urban voting trends.

Backstory: The money being offered for these properties is enormous and most of the owners are gladly selling and escaping to outlying bedroom communities in the southern arc (south of I-20).
It's a 40 (+ or -) year old demographic trend that has recently been accelerated by an upturn in the economy.

This happened a decade back in north Denver. It was a real shithole and a true ghetto. Some development projects started and the people sold their houses for tons and escaped to better areas.
The area now is pretty nice and modernized and most importantly... safe. For everyone.

The international context was very fundamental. In 1955 the Soviet Union had accepted Austrian neutrality, and in 1956 Khrushchev had recognised Yugoslavia as a country on the road to socialism even though it was outside the Warsaw Pact. And now suddenly Gomulka was being swept into power in Warsaw and he also seemed to be taking a neutralist position.
So it seemed that everybody around us was taking a neutralist stand and we Hungarians were again missing the bus, just as we had been the last satellite of Hitler at the end of the war.
