Federal Court Halt Biden's Transgender Insanity In Schools In Major Victory For Republicanss
[100PercentFedUp] President Biden has aggressively pushed and expanded Obama’s “dear colleague” Title IX letter that expanded a bill on sex discrimination to a ban on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Earlier this year, Biden threatened to take poor kids lunch money by cutting funding for free or reduced lunches in public schools if they did not comply with the Title IX “dear colleague” letter.

One of the requirements is to build gender-neutral restrooms or allow transgender students to use the opposite gender’s bathroom.

Republican Attorney Generals across the country have pushed back against Biden’s insanity and won a string of victories that will prevent him from forcing transgender identity politics on schools.

The latest victory came this Sunday as a federal court blocked the Biden administration’s attempt to conflate gender identity with biological sex, which would have allowed male to female transgender athletes to compete with biological females.

The Post Millenial Reports–

A federal court has temporarily blocked the Biden administration’s interpretation of federal law to conflate gender identity with biological sex, and in doing so, has protected female athletes who would be forced to compete against males in 20 states.

The court issued the order Friday to stop the administration’s illegitimate reinterpretation of federal law, Alliance Defending Freedom, a group intervening in the lawsuit, reported Saturday.

Led by Tennessee, twenty state attorneys general requested the preliminary injunction order.

The administration’s guidance is based, in part, on an interpretation of Bostock v. Clayton County, a recent US Supreme Court ruling about employment discrimination, the court concluded.

The guidance documents were issued by the US Department of Education and the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. One document interprets Title IX of the Civil Rights Act, which prohibits “discrimination on the basis of sex,” to bar discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

"Among other things, this would require that schools subject to Title IX allow males who identify as female to participate on female athletic teams and use female-designated showers and locker rooms," ADF reported.
Girls involved in sports deserve the opportunity to compete on a safe and fair playing field against other female athletes, said ADF Senior Counsel Jonathan Scruggs, who represents an association of Christian schools and three female athletes seeking to intervene in the lawsuit, The State of Tennessee v. U.S. Department of Education

Republicans Freak As Ukrainian-Born Gop Colleague Trash Talks Zelensky
[ZeroHedge] House Republicans are seriously regretting giving Ukraine-born GOP Rep. Victoria Spartz
...moved to America after getting an MBA in Kiev, so she knows her former homeland, CPA and real estate broker license here, adjunct business school professor, founding member of the local TEA Party group. After serving in the Indiana legislature for three years, she was elected to the House in 2020 as one of the anti-socialism Freedom Force Republicans...
a platform to speak on the war, after she started lobbing intense criticism at president Volodomyr Zelensky and his administration, drawing a rare rebuke last weekend from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, which said she was "trying to earn extra political capital on baseless speculation."

According to Politico,
...not exactly a trustworthy source...
Republicans within the GOP Conference
...how many, precisely? The three quoted in the article or a majority? Zero Hedge is known to peddle pro-Russia propaganda from time to time...
have "widespread fear" that her outspoken posture will damage US-Ukraine relations, and that the MAGA wing of their party - which has seen growing opposition to US support of the Ukraine war - will point to Spartz's comments as justification.
It doesn’t sound to me like she is against the war, but wants it to be managed better.
Spartz, who has traveled to Ukraine about six time since the war began, released a statement earlier this months calling on Zelensky to "stop playing politics and theater" and "start governing to better support his military and local government."

She also accused President Joe Biden of "playing politics" and said that he needs to present a "clear strategy and align security assistance with our strategy."

Cop With Gas Mask Stands By & Watches As Good Samaritan Rescues 2 Kids From Burning Home
[WASHINGTONSTANDARD] Mesa, AZ — As we previously reported, the Justice Department is investigating the police response to the horrifying shooting in Uvalde, Texas that left 19 4th grade children dead along with two teachers. As the world quickly learned in the days after the shooting, police were more concerned with preventing parents from saving their children than they were with stopping the mass murdering psychopath inside the school.

Unless they can find actual evidence of a crime, none of the officers involved will likely face any consequences. This is due to the fact that police officers have absolutely no legal duty to protect you.

The leading case on the topic is Warren v. District of Columbia, 444 A.2d 1 (D.C. Ct. of Ap., 1981) when the Court stated that the "fundamental principle of American law is that a government and its agents are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any individual citizen."

Being a hero is not a requirement of a cop. In fact, case after case has shown that while there are certainly many cops willing to throw themselves into harms way and risk their lives to help others, far more of them are more than willing to take cover and save their own skin while others suffer.

We’ve seen this play out in multiple school shootings, street fights, and, as the following incident shows, in house fires. Earlier this year, a police officer from the notoriously violent and corrupt Mesa Police Department had a chance to be a hero as a fire engulfed an apartment with two children inside. But badges and guns don’t make heroes — courage does.

As the officer’s body camera shows, residents were telling the officer that two children were inside the apartment and their screams were audible. Instead of climbing inside the window to pull out the trapped toddlers, the officer throws rocks as the children suffocate inside, yelling for them to "come to the window." He might as well have yelled, "I’m not doing a damn thing, rescue yourselves."

Fortunately for the trapped children, however, an actual hero was nearby and ran straight into danger. Unlike the officer throwing rocks, this good Samaritan did not have on a gas mask which would have allowed him to breathe a little better in the fumes. The good Samaritan had nothing but selflessness and courage — and this is what saved the lives of the children trapped inside.

As the cop continues to throw rocks, the unidentified hero climbs up to the window, jumps inside the apartment and grabs one of the children and removes her from the apartment. By the time he gets the first child out, smoke is now billowing out of the window heavily but this does not deter the anonymous hero and he runs right back into danger.

Moments later, he emerges with the second child, saving her life as well. Had he not been there, this officer would have thrown rocks at an apartment as the children inside burned to death. Luckily, he was there and the children were taken to the hospital, treated for smoke inhalation and made a full recovery.

Rest assured that if the Mesa cop would’ve been the one who jumped into the burning building with his body camera rolling, we would’ve certainly known his name and seen multiple nightly news specials on his courage. But this good Samaritan didn’t do it for the fame and glory and after he rescued the children, he left the scene without telling anyone his name.

"According to all who were there, if it wasn’t for the citizen who assisted, the outcome of this incident may have been different," said Richard Encinas, a spokesperson with the Mesa Police Department. "He saw the fire from a distance, jumped a wall to the apartment complex, and ran towards the fire to help."

He added that "the citizen did not want to be identified but said he only wanted to help rescue the kids if he could."

#4  There's a valid argument that the gummint at any level should not be involved in marriage at all. To the extent it is treated like a legal contract for the most part, there needs to be some legal common ground, so legal authorities are involved. I don't see any way around that.

#8  Contracts protect the individuals involved, and can be whatever the parties want, to include a the temporary prostitution-marriages of the Shiites. But unless very carefully stipulated, provides no consistent protection for the children that result from the contracted relationship — in fact, can easily be written to give the children no rights whatsoever on one or both parents.

Legally recognized marriage, a very different thing, protects the rights of the children — who are not old enough to understand or sign contracts, and anyway did not get to choose to be involved in the one they’re in — and the responsibilities of the parents to care for them.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Why Manbij is a focal point for Turkey's Erdogan
[Rudaw] The city of Manbij in northern Syria has become a focal point of attention recently since Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important...
threatened another military incursion.

The multiethnic city lies 40 kilometers from the Ottoman Turkish border in the north and has turned into a competing framework for different local, regional and global actors in pursuit of their own interests. Ankara seeks to include Manbij in its "safe zone" 30km into Syria.

Article Eight of the 10-point Sochi agreement of 2019 specifically mentions Manbij (along with Tal Rifaat) stipulating ''all YPG [People’s Protection Units] and their weapons be removed.''

Strategically important, Manbij lies at the intersection of the M4 highway which strategically connects Aleppo to Raqqa, up to The Ottoman Turkish border in the north.

With an Arab majority, Kurds, Armenians Turkmens, Circassians and Chechens also live in the city and its outskirts.

During the uproar sweeping Syria, the city was first controlled by moderate Syrian groups in July 2012 after expelling Syrian regime forces. In January 2014, it fell to the then expanding Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS).

After grueling battles that lasted for months, Kurdish and Arab fighters of the newly established Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) dislodged the caliphate in August 2016. Since then, it is run by a civil administration and the Manbij Military Council - an affiliate of the SDF.

However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
Manbij is desired by Erdogan as one of the two alleged targets (besides Tal Rifaat in northern Aleppo) of the imminent, though temporarily shelved, Ottoman Turkish military operation into northern Syria.

To deter Ottoman Turkish forces from advancing southwards, US troops were sent to Manbij in March 2017.

The Ottoman Turkish rush for Manbij has its foundations in a promise and an understanding with the US.

On the very same day The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
and factions of the Free Syrian Amy (FSA) announced the liberation of Jarablus (August 24, 2017) as part of Operation Euphrates Shield, then US Vice President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Being a self-defined foreign policy whiz kid means never having to say you're sorry...
who was visiting Ankara said in a presser that Kurdish forces must leave Manbij to the east of the Euphrates River.

Though Biden’s remarks were aimed at reconciling Washington and Ankara, they were still perceived as a US promise.

Ottoman Turkish armed forces along with Syrian proxies have already launched military incursions into northern Syria. These were Operation Euphrates Shield (2016), covering Jarablus and its surroundings, Operation Olive Branch (2018) in Afrin, and Operation Peace Spring (2019) in Gire Spi (Tal Abyad) and Sari Kani (Ras al-Ain).

Through Operation Euphrates Shield, Turkey succeeded in bisecting the Kurdish enclaves in western Euphrates (Afrin and Manbij) which the Kurdish forces were seeking to connect to the area under their control. Now, Turkey wants Kurdish-led forces be removed to the east of River Euphrates.

The other version of the story tells that any loss of the city of Manbij will disrupt the political landscape of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

Manbij continues to be one of the disputed and simmering points that contributed to deteriorating US-Turkey relations.

In June 2018 an understanding was reached between then US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Ottoman Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusolgu on a roadmap to a solution.

accordingly, independent U.S. and Ottoman Turkish patrols were carried out. However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
Ottoman Turkish troops remained restricted to areas held by Ottoman Turkish forces north of the Sajur River at the outskirts of the city.

The Sajur River is the de facto frontline between Ottoman Turkish-controlled and the SDF-held areas.

Time and again Ankara accused Washington of being slow in implementing the agreement. The city has now turned into a bargaining chip for the U.S. to ease relations with Turkey.

In January 2019, four Americans who were on a foot patrol were killed in a suicide kaboom in Manbij.

Later in the year, the U.S. troops withdrew from Manbij following an abrupt announcement made by President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
To pre-empt a potential Ottoman Turkish invasion of the city, Syrian regime forces were deployed to a number of villages in the north.

Since then the fate of the city remains uncertain, arousing fears of a possible return of the Syrian regime to the city.

Economically, Manbij is Rojava's primary gateway for trade to areas held by the regime forces and those of the Euphrates Shied.

For the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES),
...the Kurds...
Manbij is vital as an indispensable economic artery that feeds the area with all basic day—to-day life needs.

Without Manbij, trade with the Syrian regime would be done through other means, but options are few and may deny Rojava financial resources.

From a Ottoman Turkish point of view, controlling Manbij would pave the way for thousands of internally displaced persons (IDPs) currently in northern Aleppo and refugees living in Turkey to resettle.

Politically, any Ottoman Turkish takeover of the city would not bring about any immediate damages to Rojava, however, it would weaken the position of the AANES in any future talks with Russia and the regime for securing a solution.

In the territorial sense of the word, the loss of further swathes of lands would be disruptive and divisive
...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled...
and could erode belief in the Autonomous Administration as a viable one.

In the current context, it is unlikely that Erdogan would move troops to the south without the approval of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
. This would make Manbij part of a territorial swap deal more likely in return for a territorial concession in Idlib.

With the Syrian crisis since 2011 been a simmering sticking point in the US-Ottoman Turkish relations, the fate of Manbij will either fix or further damage them.
