Biden Taps Ex-Colleague Of Hunter Biden's Lawyer To Temporarily Run DOJ Criminal Division
[Wire] President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, hired a new criminal defense attorney late last year to defend him in the federal government’s criminal investigation into his business dealings. Then, on the day that Joe Biden was sworn into office, Joe Biden tapped a close colleague of Hunter Biden’s new lawyer to oversee that Department of Justice’s Criminal Division, which is reportedly investigating Hunter Biden.

The news, first reported late last week by Fox News host Tucker Carlson, comes after Hunter Biden admitted late last year that he was under federal criminal investigation over his taxes, although subsequent reporting indicated that the investigation was also into foreign business dealings.

"In one of his very first acts as president, Joe Biden appointed someone called Nicholas McQuaid to run the DOJ’s Criminal Division, the all-important Criminal Division. Turns out that’s the same Criminal Division that’s currently investigating Biden’s son, Hunter. So, who is this Nicholas McQuaid exactly? Well, this show can tell you that he is a former business partner of Hunter Biden’s new criminal defense attorney, a man called Christopher Clark," Carlson reported last week. "Hunter Biden apparently hired Clark in December to help him with a federal investigation into his business dealings, the criminal investigation that the DOJ is conducting. "

"Both McQuaid and Clark were law partners together at Latham and Watkins, they worked on the same cases right up until McQuaid took the job at the Department of Justice," Carlson added. "On January 21st of this year, the same day, Nicholas McQuaid was featured in a Justice Department press release, Latham and Watkins filed a motion in court to withdraw McQuade as an attorney he was working on with Christopher Clark. So that means Joe Biden put as the head of the Criminal Division, the partner of the guy his son had hired to defend him against the Criminal Division."

Axios confirmed the reporting on Monday evening and added the following details:

Media Company Files Antitrust Lawsuit Against Google, Facebook
Get those lawsuits in now, guys. Between the hours of insider recordings shared by Project Veritas, and Democratic threats to stuff the Supreme Court and beyond, the judicial landscape will become increasingly interesting over the next four years.
[EpochTimes] A West Virginia media company that operates several newspapers is suing Google and Facebook for threatening the extinction of local newspapers across the country by their alleged anticompetitive business practices.

HD Media on Jan. 29 filed a lawsuit asking a federal court to determine whether the two Silicon Valley companies had violated antitrust laws. The lawsuit claims Google has unlawfully exercised monopoly power of the digital advertising market, which has prevented newspapers from competing in the market and losing their primary source of revenue.

It also claims that Google and Facebook had "unlawfully conspired to engage in anticompetitive conduct" through an alleged secret deal nicknamed "Jedi Blue." Details of the alleged agreement were first revealed when 10 state attorneys general sued Google for multiple violations of federal and state antitrust and consumer protection laws.

#1  Louder with Crowder is Suing Facebook

Expect a suit against Google too. Youtube demonetized his channel.

The suit will be filed and publicly available this week. It will be filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

The causes of action under state law include unfair competition and false advertising.

The key remedy is injunctive relief (stop unfair/deceptive acts). We're also seeking seven-figure monetary damages. The goal here is forcing honesty and clarity in policy application and enforcement.

Our broader point is that we are pro-business but anti-fraud. Facebook lured consumers and creators to spend money and provide data and views under the promise of not engaging in political, racial or religious bias in enforcing their policies, but they have done so both expressly and secretively, and hence, the suit.

Sen. Cruz in Full Backstabber Mode: President Trump Of Using ‘Irresponsible Rhetoric'
[OANN] One of the Trump administration's staunchest allies has turned his back on the President. During the most recent episode of "The Verdict with Ted Cruz" last week, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) accused President Trump of "irresponsible rhetoric."

Cruz went on to back down on previous claims that rampant voter fraud changed the results of the election.

"He said over and over again, he won by a landslide, there was massive fraud, it was all stolen everywhere," Cruz stated. "That evidence, the campaign did not prove that in any court. To make a determination about an election it has to be based on the evidence, and so simply saying the result you want, that’s not responsible and you’ve never heard me use language like that."

Several weeks ago, Cruz lead the push to expose voter fraud in battleground states. Some are saying his remarks could be seen as a betrayal.

#2  Those 98 votes were in opposition to Obama's Iran deal. That's why Obama never submitted it to the Senate.

The Senate bill would require a competed deal to be submitted to Congress, which could then vote to approve or disapprove the nuclear deal within 30 days. Sanctions on Iran could not be lifted during this consideration.

#12  Here is an interesting point. The Congress and Senate are judging the president. Clearly the judges are not imp[atrial, since they have said he must be tried and found guilty. Interesting how someone who is a judge can convict pre trial. All of the senators that were out loud about his trial and conviction need to be put on the stand and made to answer for their actions, pre trial.

#16  Fanatic assholes are now trying to force out a goo conservative from Congress only to see them replaced with a Democrat. Perdue and Loeffler were not solid as Cruz and yet you asshole fanatics say it out and got 6 years of Issof and 2 years minimum of an outright socialist in their place.

Stop being stupid. You’re destroying a constitutional conservative and what will you get in his place? Idiots like you will be the death of this nation.

I have a question: what did Cruz say that was incorrect? Trump’s people made big claims but have yet to produce admissible legal evidence that show the SCOPE for such claims. Prove your case or shut the fuck up.

There are multiple cases to be made, in multiple places, but your paranoid delusional accusations of a massive conspiracy are resulting in the dismissal of the real work of real actions against the real fraudulent actors who are a all at various local positions. Until and unless you can credibly produce evidence of a conspiracy AND the capos that run it, you’re wasting time and credibility. Go after these criminals like the mafia: start at the bottom and peel it back until you get the bosses.

And stop destroying allies. Disagreements are not “backstabbing” or “betrayal”, unless you have suspended all of your intellectual capabilities and are acting like a progressive, silencing and threatening anyone that differs in even the smallest way with your rigid dogma and loyalty demands.

#20  IIRC, it was told the evidence would be presented during the confirmation process, but then "Capital Riot".

Doesn't seem to be an opinion either on the middle of the night confirmation procedure. No I'm not suggesting Xiden is illegitimate because procedures. Yes I agree extraordinary claims need matching evidence.

What I am pointing out is that there were multiple attempts to present evidence, and all cases were rejected by the various courts, up to and including twice by The Supreme Court. And deplatformed. And blacklisted.

The closest they got was some sort of pretend Grand Jury for Guiliani.

If The Play is to be regarded as legally binding, then any evidence presented by Team Trump must also be regarded as legally binding.

And who knows, I've been fooled by what a speaker intends and how it looks as text before, and there are hits out for Cruz, who I have more than generally agreed with over the years. I mean, how to your accuse someone of an incitement to violence without mentioning motive?

Texas Governor Orders Agencies to Sue Biden Administration for Climate Actions That ‘Kill Jobs’
[EpochTimes] Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott
... governor of Texas. Abbott is a Republican. His 2014 Dem opponent, state senatrix Wendy Davis, thought the absolute, most pressing, most important issue facing the state was abortion. Abbott beat the pantyhose off her. His 2018 opponent, Lupe Valdez didn't dwell too heavily on abortion, but she lost too...
on Thursday vowed to oppose what he called the Biden administration’s bid to destroy jobs with its volley of actions targeting the oil and gas industry.

Abbott signed an executive order during a presser in Odessa on Thursday, which directed all state agencies to sue the Biden administration for any federal actions that threaten the Lone Star state’s energy sector.

"Texas is going to protect the oil and gas industry from any type of hostile attack launched from Washington D.C.," Abbott said. "President Biden’s embrace of the green new deal is a job killer in Texas. It also takes a wrecking ball to the energy independence that Texas has been able to provide to the United States of America and Texas is not going to stand idly by and watch the Biden administration kill jobs in Midland, in Odessa or any other place across the entire region," he added.

Abbott’s order (pdf) came on the heels of a series of executive actions taken by President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...Candidate for president in 2020. Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids....
in the name of fighting "climate change." These include the decision to revoke authorization for the Keystone pipeline, the decision to rejoin the Gay Paree Climate Accord, and a moratorium on issuing new oil and gas leases on federal land and waters.

While Biden’s actions have drawn fire from Republicans, industry groups, and even some Democrats, Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, unsuccessful presidential candidate, and utterly failed Secretary of State...
said at a Wednesday press briefing at the White House that Biden wants to make sure workers in the energy industry "have better choices" in jobs that "pay better" and are "cleaner," giving the example of being a solar power technician instead of being a miner. Kerry also claimed that it’s a false notion that "dealing with climate" comes at the expense of energy workers, adding that there is "a lot of money to be made" in the creation of new "healthier" jobs in sectors such as green hydrogen, geothermal heat, and other renewables.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Thursday criticized the Biden administration’s actions on energy policy that he collectively dubbed a "piecemeal green new deal."

"There’s nothing green about a tsunami of pink slips for American workers, or carting Canadian crude around in trucks and trains instead of a pipeline," McConnell said on the Senate floor. "This piecemeal green new deal is the wrong prescription: wrong for the environment, wrong for national security, and most of all for the working Americans who will soon be formerly working Americans if this keeps up."

"Wilfully throwing our own people out of work, reducing our domestic energy security, raising costs and prices for working families—all for no meaningful impact on global temperatures," McConnell added.

McConnell also cited a study (pdf) by energy consulting firm OnLocation, which concluded that Biden’s oil and gas lease ban would mean the loss of nearly 1 million jobs by 2022.

Maricopa County Officials Approve Forensic Audit of Election Systems
[EpochTimes] Maricopa County in Arizona will carry out a comprehensive forensic audit of its voting systems to allay concerns raised by some constituents about the integrity of the November 2020 election.

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously at a Jan. 27 meeting to hire two independent companies to conduct an audit that will review whether voting machines counted votes correctly, and whether they were tampered with or hacked in any way.

The Republican-dominated board defended the accuracy of the county’s election results, while expressing hope that a comprehensive equipment and software audit would dispel concerns that the results were inaccurate.

"Maricopa County elections were administered with integrity throughout 2020. That’s a fact. Multiple audits to date have proved as much, and multiple court rulings have concurred," Chairman Jack Sellers said in a statement.

"It’s also true that a significant number of voters want the additional assurance that a full forensic audit of tabulation equipment might bring, especially given all the misinformation that spread following the November 3 election."

According to information from the meeting, the "multi-layered forensic audit" will include a software, hardware, and financial review of voting systems. A vulnerability analysis will be performed, along with a check for malware and a test to verify that tabulators didn’t send or receive information over the internet. Additionally, a logic and accuracy test of the county’s tabulation equipment will be conducted to verify whether ballots were counted accurately and to confirm that no votes were switched.

The audit is unlikely to satisfy the demands of the Arizona Senate, however, which issued subpoenas to the supervisors in December 2020 demanding they turn over a range of election material, including images of all mail-in ballots and machines used to count votes, so the Senate could carry out its own audit.

Arizona state Sen. Warren Peterson, a Republican who chairs the Judiciary Committee, told Fox 10 that the county’s audit won’t alleviate the need for a Senate audit.

"A county audit will not prevent the Senate from doing their own audit," Peterson told the outlet. "My concern with the county audit is that the scope of the audit is an inch deep. With the limited scope they have asked to be audited, they are guaranteed to find nothing."

The county board has resisted the Senate’s requests, arguing that they were too broad, while trying to negotiate a settlement.
Gotcha. I wondered what this was all about.
Seeking to shore up confidence in the November 2020 election, the Maricopa County government on Jan. 27 published a list of steps taken to ensure election integrity, including an October 2020 logic and accuracy test on tabulation equipment and a November hand-count audit of election results that "found a 100 percent match to the vote tabulation machines."

Government
PA Sec. of State Resigns
[NY Post] Kathy Boockvar, a Democrat, will leave office on Feb. 5. Her office botched the handling of a state constitutional amendment that would allow more sexual abuse victims to sue their alleged abusers.

In a statement, she said, "I’ve always believed that accountability and leadership must be a cornerstone of public service. While I only became aware of the mistake last week, and immediately took steps to alert the administration to the error, I accept the responsibility on behalf of the department."

Pennsylvania law requires that proposed amendments pass the state legislature twice. The secretary of state’s office must publicize the proposed amendment in two newspapers in each of the state’s 67 counties ahead of the election between votes, which her office failed to do.

Gov. Tom Wolf, also a Democrat, announced Boockvar’s resignation in a press release that stressed the issue was separate from the presidential election.

"This change at the Department of State has nothing to do with the administration of the 2020 election, which was progressively fair and accurate," Wolf said.

#1  More to this than meets the eye. She had no problem with botching the election in general, just this one item that the woke crowd and the lawyers wanted. Doesn't pass the smell test.

Matt Schlapp: Wife and Young Daughters ‘Accosted’ by Angry Neighbor
[EpochTimes] Republican lobbyist and Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) organizer Matt Schlapp said his young daughters and wife were "accosted by one of our neighbors" over their politics.

"My wonderful wife and my two youngest girls, 9 and 10, were accosted by one of our neighbors, a few doors away," Schlapp wrote on Twitter on Jan. 30. "When either side turns their politics into intimidation it is wrong. In this case it may well be a crime. Disagree with me all you want but leave my girls alone. I mean it."

Schlapp added that he would not disclose the name of the person who allegedly accosted his family.

"If this ’neighbor’ apologizes in person to my wife and two maiden of tender yearss it would be accepted. No one should tell a 9 year old to [expetive] off," he wrote. "No one. Especially over politics. If Democrats of stature act like this I really don’t want to hear about unity not one second more."

Schlapp said he wishes him "no harm."

"I won’t disclose who the person is. Strange thing I met him once and he seemed decent. Maybe he had a bad day. Maybe he has TDS," he wrote, referring to "Trump derangement syndrome," a term Trump supporters use for those they consider to be irrationally opposed to the former president. "We wish him no harm and no one else should either. I just want my kids to feel safe and welcome again @greta. Maybe it’s time to move away."

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and his wife were surrounded and confronted after the Republican National Convention last summer. Meanwhile,
...back at the buffalo wallow, Standing Buffalo watched the circling Commanches and asked himself What would Geronimo do?...
former Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai said his family was harassed several years ago.

Paul’s wife, Kelley Paul, wrote in a Washington Examiner article after Black Lives Matter protesters confronted them, "At first, I attempted to meet the eyes of one of the protesters and tried to explain that Rand authored the Justice for Breonna Taylor Act, but it seemed to just infuriate them more."

Separately, Schlapp told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that he has spoken with former President Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
’s team about the future and suggested in a Fox News interview that he will push for fixing voter irregularities across the United States following months of voter-fraud claims by Trump and his legal team.

"POTUS told me after the election that he’s going to be very involved," said Schlapp, who also chairs the American Conservative Union. "I think he’s going to stay engaged. He’s going to keep communicating. He’s going to keep expressing his opinions. I, for one, think that’s great, and I encouraged him to do that."

MAJOR ISSUE HERE.

As long as we do not press criminal charges when attacked. Those that attack us and others like them will see it as our FEAR, and only escalate their criminal activities.

If you need proof or doubt the comment.
eg...Portland, NYC, Seattle, and Washington DC,and etc, etc... etc.....

#7  Obviously lives in or around D.C.

Time for us to just separate. We're two nations and can't live with each other.

If the Wakandans want their separate schools, give 'em to them. The Wokesters want separate everything, idem

#8  "Separate" (apartheid) is not the goal. Power, dominance and exclusion are the goals.
