#1  It's up to the states to convene and send back to their legislatures the Amendment to free them from federal mandates and obligations. If they wait too long, they're dead anyway.

Turns Out That The 'Racial' Incident Was A Democrat-Media Fabrication
At 4:51 that same day, McClatchy reporter William Douglas posted an article on the McClatchy website with the inflammatory headline, "Tea party protesters scream 'ni--er' at black congressman."

In other words, Douglas, with an attributed assist from James Rosen, managed to interview representatives John Lewis, Emanuel Cleaver, and Barney Frank, compose an 800-word article, and have it edited and formatted for posting within a 90-minute window.

During that same 90 minutes, Douglas would have received and incorporated a press release from Emanuel Cleaver, making the easily disproved claim that he had "been spat upon and that Capitol Police had arrested his assailant."

Douglas also had two other important sources: he referenced two additional journalists in the very same article.

Frank told the Boston Globe that the incident happened as he was walking from the Longworth office building to the Rayburn office building, both a short distance from the Capitol. Frank said the crowd consisted of a couple of hundred of people and that they referred to him as 'homo.' A writer for The Huffington Post said the protesters called Frank a "faggot."

But the Huffington Post's article, by Sam Stein, wasn't published until 4:56pm, five minutes after Douglas' article was posted on the web. This mistake would seem to point to wanton collusion between the two authors as they hastily worked to market the smears.

In about 90 minutes, Stein himself cranked out a 400-word piece in record time after interviewing Rep. James Clyburn and a staffer.

A staffer for Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.) told reporters that Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) had been spat on by a protestor. Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), a hero of the civil rights movement, was called a 'ni--er.' And Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) was called a "faggot," as protestors shouted at him with deliberately lisp-y screams. Frank, approached in the halls after the president's speech, shrugged off the incident... But Clyburn was downright incredulous, saying he had not witnessed...

It appears that the first Boston Globe article to mention the incident didn't actually hit the website until the following day.

So how did Douglas reference both pieces, along with engaging in numerous interviews and tying in a rapidly-generated press release, in only 90 minutes?

Simple.

Why did Pelosi, Frank and members of the Congressional Black Caucus take the long walk directly in front of the Tea Party protests, as opposed to using the tunnel as they do 99.9% of the time?

It appears that it was a conspiracy.

In 90 minutes, a press release was crafted by Cleaver's office, McClatchy and HuffPro "reporters" interviewed a half dozen individuals, wrote lengthy articles, referenced each others material (despite it not having been published) while receiving and incorporating said press release.

This appears to be nothing less than a criminal scam -- a mashup effort by Congress and sympathetic media -- designed to promote racial hatred in order to advance a radical Democrat agenda.

I believe most here knew the answer to that question within 15 minutes of the incident.

Even better, they were Democratic Party voters (and contributors?). Bet the sharp as a tack national newspapers forgot to include that fact in their portraits as Right Wing Revolutionaries.

State Legislator Wants To Tax And Regulate Sofas And Comfy Chairs
Seattle - At a press conference this evening Sen. Karen Keiser (D-Kent), chair of the Senate Health and Long-Term Care Committee, discussed the growing medical evidence about the disastrous health consequences -- and budgetary burden -- of sedentary lifestyles.

Keiser cited two academic studies. One in January's American Heart Association journal, which found that "those who watched more than four hours [of television] a day had a 46 percent higher risk of death from all causes and an 80 percent increased risk for [cardiovascular disease]-related death".

Another study, from the University of Missouri, estimates that a quarter of a million Americans will die each year from "Sedentary Death Syndrome", and that the total cost of extra medical expenses for treating sedentary-related ill health will reach $3 trillion over 10 years.
This is what happens with government health care -- it becomes the duty of every busybody in government to tell you how to live.
"The good news", Keiser said, "is that health care reform will provide millions of dollars in new health care funding for the people of Washington. But the state still has an obligation to fund health care.

And we're just not going to be able to fund as much as we like, given the limits of our ability to raise taxes in this economy. So with that, we're all going to have to come together as a state and help each other lead healthier lifestyles and reduce our collective health expenses."

And Keiser's idea of "helping each other lead healthier lifestyles" means -- "nudging" people sitting comfortably in their living rooms to get up and take frequent stretch breaks. As in her amendment to the Basic Health Plan budget requires, get this, that

All new armchairs and sofas with cushions of three inches of thickness or greater, sold at retail in the state of Washington after 2015 shall be equipped with timers that emit an audible alarm at intervals of not more than twenty minutes.

The requirement will not apply to dining room style chairs, office chairs, or "sofa-beds when configured for sleeping".

And between now and 2015, there will be an extra excise tax of 5% on the sale of all new couches and comfy chairs that are not fitted with the special alarms.

#1  Please don't judge all of us Washingtonians by the actions of this nut case. remember, Kent and South sounders have a propensity for either walking onto train tracks and getting squashed, or turning their cars into the path of trains and light rail. So i think there may be something in the water that turns them stupid. or democrat. but i repeat myself.

ima confused. i would think the risk of death from all causes is darn close to 100 percent. how do you get a 46 percent increase in that?

Koch Outraged By Obama's Treatment of Israel Over Housing Construction
Former New York Mayor Ed Koch expressed disappointment in President Obama on Thursday for his treatment of Israel after it announced it would continue construction in East Jerusalem -- the section of the holy city claimed by the Palestinians.

"I have been a supporter of President Obama and went to Florida for him, urged Jews all over the country to vote for him saying that he would be just as good as John McCain on the security of Israel. I don't think it's true anymore," Koch told Fox News' Neil Cavuto.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu got a chilly reception at the White House last week after Israel announced plans to build 1,600 new apartments for Jews in East Jerusalem during a visit from Vice President Biden. The announcement drew sharp condemnations from Washington and calls to cancel the construction plans -- requests that Netanyahu says he will not heed.

Koch said he believes Obama "orchestrated" what happened in Israel.

"What they did is they wanted to make Israel into a pariah," he said. "It's outrageous in my judgment. "

Koch said he's shocked that Congress, which largely supports Israel hasn't "stood up and said to the president, 'you're wrong on this, Mr. President.'"

No details from the reportedly tense Obama-Netanyahu meeting have been made public. The administration's precise demands on Israel and what Israel has offered in return have also remained under wraps.

But that didn't stop Koch from offering his harsh assessment of the Obama administration.

"I believe that the Obama administration is willing to throw Israel under the bus in order to please Muslim nations," Koch said. "We'll know when I'm right or wrong."
I believe the technical term is 'Cognitive Dissonance.'

#3  Some people are simply no judge of Men. It you listened to Obama for ten minutes you could SEE what kind of a man he was. It was a plain as it got.

You could read him. He was right there and it was OBVIOUS.

He was a mouth. You can push him when he makes a threat and he will back up. He wont fight himself, he will always get someone else to do that if he can. He's an opportunist and he's arrogant, he loves himself more than he loves anything else.

You cant depend on him and if you do, then you are a fool who deserves what happens to you.

Heads of State usually are good judges of other men. Putin, and Sarkozy, and others look at Obama and they KNOW what he is.

Like the man said, "Life is tough, but its tougher if you are stupid."

If you voted for Obama, you were stupid. Sor'bou'dat.

My fear is, our electorate is so "stupid" and so large that the country may soon be in danger of... capsizing, er huh, tipping over.
