#2  “Moving forward on immigration — in this hurried, panicked manner — is nothing more than a cynical political ploy,” Mr. Graham said.

I suppose if anyone should know about such things.....

#3  With one move he hobbled two problems -- the current version of cap'n'trade and immigration. Pretty efficient of the honourable senator.

#4  Too little. Too late.

#5  He's a windsock. The only thing really predictable about him is that you can't count on him for much. He might have pulled his support today, but what about tomorrow? Next month?

#6  Yeah, right, when mcshame wanted all aliens welcome all the time, his poolboy grahamnasty wanted it too. Just cause the rats desert the sinking ship doesn't mean they all swim together...

#7  In his letter to his two colleagues, Mr. Graham said that he was troubled by reports that the Senate Democratic leader, Harry Reid of Nevada, and the White House were planning to take up an immigration measure before the energy bill.

Sharpton pledge to fight Ariz. immig bill
The Rev. Al Sharpton says he will challenge Arizona's new immigration bill in court and on the streets.

Sharpton is joining Lillian Rodriguez Lopez from the Hispanic Federation to announce a legal challenge to the bill. They say activists are also prepared to commit civil disobedience to fight the Arizona immigration bill.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed the bill Friday. It requires police to question people about their immigration status — including asking for identification — if they suspect someone is in the country illegally.

The law will take effect in late July or early August.
robert millerRev. Al Sharpton said he'll fight the Arizona immigration bill, by civil disobedience if necessary.

President Barack Obama has called the new law "misguided" and has instructed the Justice Department to examine it to see if it's legal.

#3  OK so has Barry, Sharpton or any of the screaming cry babies even read the law??? I think not, its just another chance for press time..
Posted by: 49 Pan || 04/25/2010 20:46 Comments || Top||

#4  49 Pan, exactly bro'. I read the thing - only 16 pages - obviously too overwhelming for Mr. Tawanna Brawley to digest. I have several lib buddies telling me how unconstitutional the bill was based on a BBC report - of course, none of them had read it either. So I had to tell them to shut the f8ck up and get back w/me after they've read it. I'd love to hear a Rantburger's professional opinion abt the constitutionality of SB1070. I think it pasts muster but I'm just an amateur historian/aspiring constitutional scholar. This website is one of the few I can actually trust for some educated feedback on current events.

They don't read little laws, especially laws that are "footnote-sized".

And it looks like Al is feeling marginalized again these days.
