IG report backs whistleblower fired after flagging Stefan Halper contracts
[World Tribune] A report by the Department of Defense’s inspector general reveals that Stefan Halper, the professor hired by the FBI to spy on the Trump campaign, failed to document his research on four Pentagon studies for which he traveled the world at U.S. taxpayer expense and was paid a total of $1 million.

The DoD inspector general launched the Halper investigation based on a request in January from Senate Finance Committee Chariman Chuck Grassley, Iowa Republican. "He, in turn, was acting on allegations of sweetheart contacts at the Office of Net Assessment (ONA), a secretive Pentagon think tank whose mission is to find and expose future global threats," security correspondent Rowan Scarborough noted in an Aug. 18 report for The Washington Times.

The IG’s report is a vindication of Pentagon analyst Adam Lovinger, who blew the whistle on the lucrative contracts Halper received from the ONA, Lovinger’s attorney said.

After questioning the Halper contracts, Lovinger had his security clearance revoked and was suspended without pay by Obama-appointed officials who accused him of mishandling sensitive data.

#1  Now look what you've done Mr. Lovinger, you've blown our Office of Net Assessment (ONA) cover. How can we possibly make bogus payments to our sources now ?

My dear Mr. Lovinger, do you have any idea how many bogus contract payment schemes and funding sources your actions could imperil if someone decides to conduct a full blown investigation of ONA ?

Lindsey Graham open to putting Obama under oath in probe into Russia investigation origins
[Washington Examiner] Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham says he is open to putting Barack Obama under oath as he probes potential White House involvement in opening a investigation into unproven ties between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia.

Graham says one of the biggest remaining mysteries in the Trump-Russia saga that needs to be unraveled is who told President Obama about the counterintelligence investigation into then-candidate Trump. The South Carolina Republican wants answers from the former president.

As part of his probe, Graham is prepared to call former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former FBI Director James Comey, former CIA Director John Brennan, and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper to testify.

Graham joined Sean Hannity on Fox News on Wednesday night to say he was determined to get to the bottom of the launching of the Trump-Russia investigation, and that the "bottom line" for him was figuring out what Obama knew, when he knew it, and whom he learned it from.

"I can't imagine an investigation of the Republican nominee for president ‐ a counterintelligence investigation of his campaign ‐ was not approved at the highest level," Graham said last night. "I cannot imagine it happening without somebody in the White House knowing about it."

Deep State's Page, Strzok Conducted FBI's Review to Classify Comey's Memos
[Breitbart] NEW YORK ‐ Former FBI employees Lisa Page and Peter Strzok, the once romantically-linked duo infamous for their anti-Trump text messages, conducted the initial agency review of disgraced ex-FBI chief James Comey’s memos to determine whether the documents contained any potentially classified information.

Working on the initial classification review with Page and Strzok was another member of Comey’s inner circle, James A. Baker, the former FBI general counsel.

Those details were contained inside the report released last Thursday by the Justice Department’s inspector-general.

The IG report related that Strzok characterized himself, Page, Baker, and the Unit Chief of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Law Unit in the FBI’s Office of General Counsel as a "logical subset to sit and go through" Comey’s memos memorializing his conversations with Trump to determine classification.

Strzok told the FBI that it made sense that this team conducted the initial classification review because the members had a lot of "history and experience of working investigations relating to ... the disclosure of classified information," including the FBI’s Clinton email investigation.

That would be the same Clinton email investigation that became the subject of a separate 500-plus page IG report in June 2018 that was highly critical of actions taken by Comey and his team.

The IG report described an extraordinary system of communication set up between Page and former deputy director Andrew McCabe that bypassed the ordinary chain of command to communicate important information about the agency’s probe of Clinton’s email server. The method of communication involved Strzok, who was romantically involved with Page, sending information on the Clinton probe to McCabe through Page, the previous IG report found.

#3  Still no indictments, but we do have this:

Peter Strzok sues over firing for anti-Trump texts.

The former FBI agent who opened the bureau’s Russia probe says the government violated his First and Fifth Amendment rights.

Peter Strzok, the former FBI agent who opened the bureau’s Russia probe in 2016 and later became a symbol of alleged “deep state” animus for Donald Trump, is suing the government over his firing.

In a lawsuit filed on Tuesday, Strzok excoriates the Justice Department and FBI for their handling of his dismissal over a trove of text messages he wrote to a colleague that were critical of Trump. Strzok accuses the president of inappropriately bullying law enforcement officials deciding his fate, raises questions about why his texts were leaked to the media and lambastes the administration for only defending its employees’ free speech rights when they are praising Trump.

O'Rourke Assures Everyone: Yes, I Will Take Your Guns Away…
[Weasel Zippers] A reporter asked Beto in Charlottesville how he’d reassure people afraid the gov’t would take their assault weapons away.

"I want to be really clear that that’s exactly what we are going to do," he said. If you own an AK-47 or AR-15, "you’ll have to sell them to the government."

Feel my love
Feel my love

A timeless story
That has no end
a love like ours
not, and never ever can die
I want to be in your soul
a happy moment
I will love you forever
I will live within you

In the days of pain
feel my love
that will come with the wind
that will come with the sun
in the eyes of god
Far away from you
You will see me in dreams
You will feel my kisses
and you will hear my laughter

if you feel alone
and you are in silence
think about my touches
and our secrets
I want to be in your soul
a happy moment
I will love you forever
I will live within you

In the days of pain
feel my love

#3  Anybody feel that these actions in Texas all cam about right after the antifa correspondence among members about Texas ?

Seemingly unhinged idiots, one with a well written 'manifesto' about immigrants the writer of which just couldn't keep climate change out of it . Attacks on ICE, a citizen census agency, and mostly legal immigrant populations at the same time. And the perps always 'under=the-radar' boys who exhibited promise of violence but just never got round to it, until now.

It is rather suspect that the antifa were planning a siege on Texas border areas, or claimed they were, and then some relative unknowns start this blitzkreig.

#8  If you're into conspiracy theories, put on your tin foil hat and read Tom O’Neill’s
Chaos: Charles Manson, the CIA and the Secret History of the Sixties
. Read it and ask yourself if the CIA really can and really would brainwash people into committing these types of atrocities, just like Charlie Manson, especially with the likes of John Brennan and Baraq Obama running the show. I don't know the answer but even before I read this book I knew that something about all these shootings stinks and it's not the AR-15. The Manson Family did it all with knives but there were a helluva lot of instances where Manson and his followers should have been jailed for lesser crimes but were let off the hook. It was like he had a Get Out Of Jail Free card. And now, there have been way too many times when the FBI and other authorities failed to enforce laws, policies and procedures that would have prevented these whackos from getting their hands on any type of gun.

Beetle Drops F-Bomb On Live CNN Interview
[DAILYCALLER] Democratic 2020 hopeful Beto O’Rourke;
...Kennedyeque businessman, musician, skateboard artiste, and politician who represented Texas' 16th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019. Beto is a Latino nickname for people whose names end in "erto," like "Roberto" or "Alberto." He is seeking the Dem nomination for President in 2020 because he has nice hair and lots of teeth. He was born into a local political family in El Paso, Texas and is a graduate of a prep school and Columbia University, which is not in Texas. In 2005, he was elected to the El Paso City Council. He was elected to Congress in 2012 after defeating eight-term incumbent Silvestre Reyes in the Democratic primary. He declined to seek re-election in 2018, instead running for the Senate against Republican Ted Cruz, running a campaign that drew national attention because of his skateboarding skills. A few months after he lost, he announced his campaign for President...
let the f-bomb slip during a Sunday morning interview with CNN’s Dana Bash.
SO Edgy™
Bash, who was sitting in for Jake Tapper on "State of the Union," began the segment by showing video of the former Texas congressman discussing gun violence at a recent event ‐ and in that video, O’Rourke’s use of the term "f**ked up" was bleeped.

O’Rourke followed that clip by dropping the same term on the live show.

"The rhetoric that we’ve used, the thoughts and prayers that you just referred to, it has done nothing to stop the epidemic of gun violence, to protect our kids, our families, our fellow Americans in public places," O’Rourke began, listing a few of the more recent tragedies. "At a Walmart in El Paso where 22 were killed. In Sutherland Springs, in a church. One or two a day all over this country, 100 killed daily in the United States of America."

"We’re averaging about 300 mass shootings a year," O’Rourke continued, letting the profanity slip. "So yes, this is fucked up. If we don’t call it out for what it is, if we’re not able to speak clearly, if we’re not able to act decisively, we’ll continue to have this kind of bloodshed in America. And I cannot accept that. We’re going to speak as defiantly and as strongly as we can but we’re also going to take action. Universal background checks, red flag laws, end of the sales of weapons of war and buying those AK-47s and AR-15s back so they cannot be used against our fellow Americans."

Ginsburg On Cancer Treatment: ‘I’m On My Way To Being Very Well’
[DAILYCALLER] Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said her health is improving after a fourth bout with cancer Saturday, telling a friendly audience in Washington, D.C., that her work sustains her during difficult periods.

The Supreme Court announced Aug. 23 that the 86-year-old progressive icon was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

"This audience can see that I am alive," Ginsburg said during a Saturday appearance at the National Book Festival in Washington, D.C. "And I’m on my way to being very well."

The justice was present to discuss a volume of her writings published in 2016 called "My Own Words." Mary Hartnett and Wendy Williams, the justice’s biographers, also joined Ginsburg on stage.

Ginsburg completed a three-week course of outpatient radiation therapy Aug. 23 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, after doctors identified a malignant tumor on her pancreas. The Supreme Court’s Public Information Office said the justice "tolerated treatment well" and shows no evidence of remaining disease. The high court’s senior liberal also had pancreatic cancer in 2009.

#6  Here's the actual medical quote:
"The tumor was treated definitively and there is no evidence of disease elsewhere in the body," the statement said. "Justice Ginsburg will continue to have periodic blood tests and scans. No further treatment is needed at this time."

Treated definitively means that they executed their planned treatment.
No evidence of disease elsewhere means other than the tumor.

Nuance on the reporting leads one to believe that she is cancer free which she may not be.
