-Lurid Crime Tales-
Rep. Bobby Rush receives 20 yrs of free rent from Draper & Kramer.
[Breitbart] Chicago Congressman Bobby Rush (D-IL)
My congress-critter since the redistricting...
is being investigated by the House ethics committee for somehow getting his Chicago South Side congressional offices rent free for 20 years, a violation of state and federal laws not to mention House ethics standards.

A new House ethics report finds that Rush escaped from having to pay upwards to $365,040 for about 20 years of rent.
Escaped ?
The Office of Congressional Ethics report concluded that there was "substantial reason" to assume that the free rent was an in-kind contribution that violates House ethics rules.
Yes, 'substantial reason' indeed, since nothing is actually free.
The OCE has referred the investigation to the House Committee on Ethics, the group that has the power to issue any rebukes. The committee now must decide if it will initiate a full investigation.
I suspect a full IRS investigation might be in order as well, both Rush and Draper & Kramer if you will.

Black Democrat Alleges Racism in Lawsuit against Ohio Democratic Party

#1  “Now, I’m a Democrat. Make no mistake about it. But at the same time, I believe that part of being a Democrat is the freedom to place a color on the quilt that reflects your thinking, because that makes up the body of what this process is about,” said Barnes.

Apparently you haven't read the internal memos. Now get back in line before the donks character assassinate you for going off the reservation.

#2  Last week, Chris Redfern, head of the Ohio Democratic Party, resigned in disgrace after presiding over sweeping losses of every statewide office, a record-breaking majority of Republicans elected to the Ohio legislature, and the utter collapse of the Democrats’ candidate for governor.

#3  I don't think it was "racist" in the classic meaning of the term (although who knows what is classic anymore given the deconstructionists) but rather the usual political retaliation for anyone, anyone who didn't toe the party line.

#5  Failed to rig the vote and deliver as in 2008 and 2012?

I believe that to some extent Ohio voter rolls have been cleaned of duplicate and dead registrations, which would have hindered -- to some extent -- vote rigging. Also, I understand that vote rigging works better when the votes are close, or in party machine precincts.

#6  The lawsuit further alleges that after [Rep. Armond] Budish was elected House Democratic leader in 2010, Barnes was told by Democratic leadership that he would not be permitted to communicate with Budish about committee assignments “as white Democratic legislators are permitted to do.” Instead, he was told he would have to communicate only through the leader of the Legislative Black Caucus.

Sounds more like the Legislative Black Caucus is acting like a legislators' union.

#8  Failed to rig the vote and deliver as in 2008 and 2012?

And especially 2014.

How sweet the 2014 election results were but it looks like "O" is going to continue to do as he damn well pleases judging from all his statements. He doesn't realize elections have consequences. There are going to be two very contentious years ahead.
A lot can happen in two years what with court cases, hearings, and Congressional investigations. Obama will be a very busy man trying to bury evidence, dealing with a flood of Pub legislation, and vetoing .

#5  I attended the concert for valor last night and was very glad to leave before Rhianna and Eminem performed. But I will say in the beginning they played prepared remarks from obama and the crowd was not enthusiastic. Even heard a few boos and an 'obama sucks'.

As for her specific comment. I think she was really just trying to say something positive. Really what else can she say about Obama?

#8  AlanC and JohnQC.

Even in 2088, would have Obama been elected without the 95% Blacks who voted for him because they believed he was Black? I don't think so.

Would have he won the Democratic primaries, would have he even been in the final race against Hillary Clinton without all those Whites who voted for him because they believed that by being Black Obama would be a silver bullet in the upcoming election? I don't think so.

#9  There's an element in our society that are not well- informed who vote on the basis of whether or not they think someone has celebrity value or look good or that they would be cool, e.g. the first black president or the first woman president regardless of the candidates experience, knowledge, qualifications or capabilities. Look for the first Donk transgender, black gay woman stoner candidate in 2088.

Dartmouth College Student Asks Rick Perry Explicit and Tasteless Questions At Public Event
[BREITBART] Texas Governor Rick Perry wasn't expecting to be asked sexually explicit questions while he spoke at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire -- but that's exactly what happened.

One student asked the governor if he would have anal sex in exchange for $102 million in campaign contributions. According to The Dartmouth, senior Emily Sellers asked the question about anal sex; freshman Timothy Messen accused the governor of comparing homosexuals to alcoholics.
I had really hoped that the younger generation would be free of homophobia. How sad...
Many event attendees were offended by the questions.
I'm so surprised.
In a Facebook status, Dartmouth College Democrats President Spencer Blair said, "Some students chose to undermine this event by asking the governor very explicit questions, preventing a productive and engaging discourse about pressing policy issues from taking place. While I find Governor Perry's social (and fiscal) policy vision for our country to be quite reprehensible,
"Harrumph, harrumph..."
the questions aimed at [him] about various sexual acts were unnecessary and inappropriate, and they represented Texas very poorly."
I'm guessing they're more typical of New Hampshire than they are of Texas or anyplace else in the civilized world...
The flyers said, "In 2002, you supported Texas's anti-sodomy law. Do you [Rick Perry] dislike bootysex because the peeny goes in where the poopy comes out?"
Ben Packer, a sophomore at Dartmouth, wrote the sexually-explicit questions and passed them out on flyers -- Campus Reform obtained a copy.
I'm guessing that was why they were so...sophomoric.
The flyers said, "In 2002, you supported Texas's anti-sodomy law. Do you [Rick Perry] dislike bootysex because the peeny goes in where the poopy comes out?"

"I know you have been very strong on all foreign policy issues, including Somali pirates, but what is your stance on butt pirates?"
They also said, "I know you have been very strong on all foreign policy issues, including Somali pirates, but what is your stance on butt pirates?"
Can't this student be sanctioned for the public use of a slur against gays? Shouldn't there be a disciplinary hearing?
Dartmouth College Republicans President Michelle Knesbach told The Dartmouth, "They were phrased in incredibly insulting ways, and I'm horrified.
Not that her opinion would count, since she's a Republican...
We allow people to ask policy-driven questions, but when they're phrased in an insulting manner, we try to avoid that, because it just detracts from the overall political discourse we can have on campus."

But Patrick has continued to defend his questions, but admitted that they did not achieve the desired effect.
No! Really?
He told the college paper, "I think the desired effect was to point out that their political discussion is not meaningful. Since the event organizers knew what we were doing before it happened, they sort of controlled the lens through which the questions were viewed. The questions--they're funny, right?
Wrong.
I think they're funny.
"...and I can't imagine that when I'm forty I'm gonna look back on this and feel really stoopid."
I think a lot of people think that they're funny,
He can't imagine that what's funny in the dorm room or the all-gay shower party ain't funny in a presumably sober political gathering.
but since the event had control over the framing of the questions, nobody in the audience laughed. They booed."
Because you were stoopid.
Because he's a raging homophobe...
