BK Borough President: Protesters Were Calling for Police Reform, Not Retribution
[MEDIAITE] Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams denied to Meet the Press Sunday morning that the protests over the grand jury decision in the Eric Garner case contributed in any way to the murder of two NYPD officers in Bedstuy Saturday night.

The shooter, Ismaaiyl Brinsley, referenced the Garner case in a final Instagram post in which he said he was going to put “wings on pigs”; Brinsley shot himself shortly after shooting and killing two officers. In the hours since Gotham Mayor Bill de Blasio and Eric Garner protesters have been blamed by some for contributing to an anti-cop atmosphere that supposedly enabled Brinsley.

Adams was having none of it. “We cannot mix the two,” he said. “Those who were calling for the police reform were not calling for the police retribution.”
What about the ones who were calling for the deaths of police officers -- is that 'reform' or 'retribution'? Hint: I call it 'murder', but I'm old fashioned that way...
“Blood is not on the hands of the mayor,” Adams said, referring to the antagonistic statements from NYPD Union Chief Pat Lynch. “The blood is on the hands of the sick person who took the life of two innocent police officers. Innocent people should not die in America. It does not matter if they are wearing a police uniform or a three-piece suit.”

Own it.

#2  Agreed. I'm not one of law enforcement's hugest fans, but the Left f__king *owns* this one. Let's help staple it to their foreheads.

#3  Anyone notice how quickly the MSM appears to have dropped the middle name of Mr. Ismaaiyl 'Abdullah' Brinsley? Notice also the narrative of 'insanity' which quite conveniently, cannot be proven.

Islamic middle names, who needs'em.

No. We don't even joke like that about Americans.

#6  An incident with cops shooting first and asking questions later in 5..4..3

I don't think so. More likely is a slowing in response times to certain areas due to security issues, such as waiting for additional back-up, conducting an initial survey of the area for potential threats before entering, et cetera.

#10  More aggressive frisk and search may have prevented this tragedy but the media would never consider such speculation; it does not fit the narrative.

Home Front: Culture Wars
NY's Finest First Casualties In Obama's War On Cops
BLUF [Investor's Business Daily] They know that crime is out of control in the black community. They know that, as the Justice Department clearly reports, blacks commit a startling 53% of the nation's murders and that 91% of blacks who are murdered are murdered not by whites but by other blacks.

But instead of solving the growing problem of black crime, they put the blame on police, who like Ramos and Liu are often dispatched to the black community to protect law-abiding blacks from thugs. And they invite Sharpton and other high priests of hate to the White House to gin up grievances against white cops.

Obama was faced with flash points in Ferguson and Staten Island, and earlier in Sanford, Fla., and instead of taking the responsible route and letting the facts play out in these cases, he and his attorney general poured gasoline on them by claiming that law enforcement officers had it in for blacks.

They don't, but Obama and Holder clearly have it in for law enforcement. And now they've put targets on officers' backs.
Make no mistake, Champ's view of wit male authority figures, as well as the view of Holder, ValJar, Rice, Sharpton, and many others within his tribal cabal, closely parallel the views of Tutu, Mugabe, Jacob Zuma, and the late Nelson Mandela.
Here's where the libertarian in me comes out: I'd look at the "community leaders" and say fine, we'll pull the police out of your neighborhoods. In return you 1) police yourselves and 2) follow the same laws doing so as the police. We'll see how long it'd take for the community leaders to invite the police back in.

#1  The Obama regime doesn't have a problem with Federal Police under Holder's command. Only non-federal, local police. The regime has been arming up federal agencies, and demonizing local law enforcement.

Centralization under Obama/Holder, protecting the entitlement base and demonizing the rest of America is the national socialist objective.

#3  Revolutionaries against the GIVERnment cannot lead once in power. They only know destruction. That is why obama always seems to comment on worldly happenings as if he is not the president but a victim or observer. He supports all and any anti-america regimes, policies, agendas...

Viva Obama!

President Obama and AG Holder are not anti-law enforcement. They’re shameless opportunists. They advocate Social justice at the expense of equal justice. For them political expediency takes precedent over the rule of law. They ignored their responsibility to set the record straight regarding the false racist judicial system narrative. Moreover, they perpetuated the myth to further their own agenda. They’re actions didn’t cause the violence. They’re inaction allowed it to occur.

#5  This is an incorrect interpretation. Remember the "Beer Summit"?

1st - this is not new.

2nd - this is not a war on cops. It is a war on whites, the middle class and the rule of law. So long as the cops play along (and the vast majority do) Champ has no issue with them.

Farrakhan's boys would be out on a few street corners in Chicago for a while if this happened as a show of 'neighborhood solidarity' or some other such wording.

Then, when they get bored or shot at, they'd leave abruptly.

#8  It's a comment, Pappy, not a term paper.

You have a hard on for the cops. I get it. Not everyone shares your enthusiasm. We're we just commenting on an article about FBI incompetence and mismanagement? People wrongly jailed? Ring a bell?

#10  It's a comment, Pappy, not a term paper.

It's an opinion, Iblis. And, like mine, worth less than the time it takes you to type it unless you can defend it.

You have a hard on for the cops. I get it. Not everyone shares your enthusiasm.

The another definition for "hard on" is: To cause a difficult and harder time, and more trouble. As in "You, Iblis, seem to have a hard on for the cops." To use your words: I get it. Not everyone, however, shares your... dislike.

Speaking of the FBI thread- again, I'll ask - ever do police work? Or, for that matter, ever get involved in the criminal justice system, even on the receiving end? It does matter, you know.

There's a lot I don't like about law enforcement. Militarization, for one. Advocacy of gun-control for another. And the insularity. I understand why - I don't agree with it.

One last thing - ever hear of the Murray-Hill Riot?

#11  It seems to me the Obama playbook is right on track. Dividing this nation is moving along nicely. We now hate and demonize the rich, Whites, Jews, Tea Party, liberals, conservatives, abortionists, free speech, gun owners, etc... Now the Federal government is holding the police departments across America in contempt. Its moving so nicely the architect of the plan can spend his time golfing. The police in NYC have turned against the leadership of NYC, a really bad move and playing right into Obama's hands. He is poised for Holder to step in, under the guise of the police have gone rogue, and federalize NYC police. The president is allowing this to build, and in some instances fanning the flames of hate. He can only be doing this for a reason. Bring popcorn.

#12  BTW we have a great police department here in Mesa, our sheriffs department is outstanding as well as out Highway patrol. The SWAT teams here need a little work, they have hit targets without doing the proper surveillance or second sourcing informants. All in all we have solid cops. Our Game and Fish department on the other hand, is broken. They wear SWAT gear, M4s, like the supply guy that wants to be a shooter. I watched them chase a 10 year old on a mini bike across the desert with an airplane and six game wardens in Razors. All over him riding around a unmarked road block. I laughed so hard at the warden I thought I was going to jail. My stomach hurt so bad I had a hard time asking him if he was proud of his perp apprehension. He cited me, the locals complained to the state and all citations that day were dismissed. Love AZ!

#13  ...probably the same men in uniform who looked the other way as the party approved mob took over the Wisconsin state capital not too long back?

The captain in charge of the Wisconsin Capitol Police unit (Tubbs) has since left, abruptly some might say.

The new guy (Erwin) doesn't put up with much. The loons are still free to walk the outer edge of the grounds and surrounding square, though. City of Madison PD still pretty hamstrung restrained.
