White House says Obama uses email pseudonym for security
[Wash Times] President Obama’s use of a pseudonym when emailing then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on her private email server was a security measure to protect his communications, the White House said Monday.

"There are some common-sense security measures that are put in place to protect the president’s email," said White House press secretary Josh Earnest. "The fact that it’s not easy to predict what the president’s email address is, is one of those measures."

Documents released by the FBI last week showed that Mr. Obama used a pseudonym when sending or receiving emails through the private server system Mrs. Clinton used.

Mr. Earnest said all of Mr. Obama’s emails will be archived when he leaves office.

#1  Obummer, had he been any kind of leader would have sat on Hillary and told her no private server in her Chautauqua basement. The Clinton's must have had plenty on Obummer.

Harry Reid calls Donald Trump 'a racist'
[CNN] Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid
... the charismatic senator-for-life from Nevada, currently majority leader ...
called Donald Trump a racist on the Senate floor Monday, an escalation in the Nevada politician's war of words against the GOP presidential nominee in recent weeks.

"Donald Trump is a racist," he said.

Reid's direct comment goes further than the retiring five-term senator was willing to ten days ago during an interview with CNN's Manu Raju. When asked then if he thought Trump is a racist, Reid responded: "All you guys have a job to do. You make that decision. I'm not going to."

Previously, Reid excoriated Trump from the Senate floor, calling him a "spoiled brat," "a con artist" and a "human leech who will bleed the country."
And not a single Republican Senator called a point of order for violating Senate rules...

#1  calling him a "spoiled brat," "a con artist" and a "human leech who will bleed the country."

#4  Harry Reid closely resembles a POS, but knows how to play the game. And, with a compliant oppo, he'll continue to use the Well of the Senate to make accusations that anywhere else would be grounds for Slander.

#5  IMO, it's long past time for people to learn not to go into palpitations and defense mode when called "racist". The proper answer to being call "racist" should be "can't you leftard dogs learn a new bark?"

Election commissioner: Fire us all
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] A Democratic member of the Federal Election Commission said Monday that the best way to find consensus at the agency might be to get rid of all the commissioners, including herself.

"We have a commission that people expect to be upholding the integrity of our electoral processes, and we are not doing that at all," Democratic Commissioner Ann Ravel told an audience at the National Press Club on Monday. "It is not happening in this election, and there's no likelihood that it will."

Ravel, who last year held the FEC's rotating chairmanship and who previously led California's state-level version of the agency, argued that federal commissioners stalemate on too many votes. By law, the agency is divided evenly between three Democrats and three Republicans, which makes it hard to agree on anything.

#1  Things may be again heading for a "free-for-all." Lester Holt was referred to as the "third debater" last night. He was another moderator failure--he asked Trump questions and then tried to shut him off when answering them. These debates are not worth much spit.

#3  Ravel, who last year held the FEC's rotating chairmanship and who previously led California's state-level version of the agency,

Best argument for abolishing Federal agencies. If over 1/2 the states have an equivalent agency, get rid of the Federal one.

#4  That would mean no EPA, no Dept. of Education (which was established as a sop by Carter to get the NEA's support during the 1976 election), no Dept. of Commerce, and who knows how many others.
Posted by: Raj || 09/27/2016 17:55 Comments || Top||

#5  However, the reverse is also true. No state has a Dept. of Funk, thus I seek the job as Secretary of What's Happening Nao!

Raised-fist Olympians punished in 1968 will be received at White House
[Reuters] Tommie Smith and John Carlos, the two African-American athletes sent home from the 1968 Olympic Games for their raised-fist protest on the medal podium, will receive a long-awaited moment of redemption at a U.S. team event at the White House this week.

The two were invited by the U.S. Olympic Committee to attend a gala dinner on Wednesday in Washington honoring the 2016 Olympic team and accompany the team to meet President Barack Obama at the White House the following day, Carlos told Reuters on Sunday.

The image of Smith and Carlos, gold and bronze medalists in the 200-meter track event in Mexico City, thrusting their black-gloved fists into the air, has become an enduring symbol of the fight for racial equality.

Their example has surfaced repeatedly in past weeks as an inspiration to African-American National Football League and college players protesting racial injustice after the fatal shootings of several black men by police.

Smith and Carlos paid a high price for their protest, not only with the Olympic Committee but also in the court of public opinion.

"It was against the charter of the Olympic Committee to make a political statement at the victory podium," Carlos said in a phone interview. "But we felt it was the only place we could make the statement at that time."

Standing in black socks, the two Americans bowed their heads and pushed their fists into the air as the U.S. anthem played, shocking the world and many Americans reeling from a turbulent year in the fight for civil rights. They were suspended from the U.S. Olympic team and sent back to the United States.

Depends on who wins in November. If its Trump then he and ValJar (his master) will pull out *all* the stops. I wouldn't be surprised to see full scale rioting in all the major cities.
