Virginia Democrat Caught Tampering With Campaign Signs by Police Hours Before Election
[SPUTNIKNEWS] Virginia State Delegate Chris Hurst, a Democrat representing the Commonwealth’s 12th district, was pulled over by police less than 24 hours before the state’s Election Day after a deputy witnessed a woman taking campaign signs and getting into a car Hurst was driving.Hurst was reportedly pulled over by police Monday evening in Radford, Virginia, after a deputy from the Radford Sheriff’s Office saw a woman, who has since been identified as Emily Frentewss, take out promotional signs displayed outside the town’s recreation center and then climb into the car that Hurst was driving, according to Radford Sheriff Mark Armentrout.

Police discovered that Hurst was driving the vehicle with a suspended license, and he was subsequently given a "driving while suspended" notification by a deputy, local news station WSLS reported.

Hurst assumed office in 2018 and is running for reelection to the Virginia House of Delegates to once again represent the 12th district.

The state politician’s Republican opponent, Jason Ballard, stated in a Tuesday remark that the Monday night incident is "another excuse why [Hurst] does not deserve one other time period as delegate."

"I’m deeply dissatisfied that Chris Hurst has determined to finish his marketing campaign in such a reckless method," Ballard reportedly said.

This isn’t the first time that Hurst has been in the scope of the law. He was allegedly pulled over in Christiansburg in January 2020 for swerving, and underwent a blood-alcohol test that ended up being above the authorized limit.

The incident unfolded just hours before polls opened ahead of Virginia's Tuesday gubernatorial elections.

Illegal alien and anti-ICE activist who was bailed out of jail by celebrities and supported pro-bono by the @ACLU, now wanted over the murder of a man in California
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Tulare County sheriff's detectives have named 24-year-old Jose Omar Bello Reyes as the third man involved in the fatal shooting of a 58-year-old man. His body was found at a Terra Bella orchard.

KGET has obtained documents that reveal a man with the same name and date of birth was arrested by ICE in 2019, 36 hours after he read a poem criticizing ICE before the Kern County Board of Supervisors.

Bello, a Bakersfield College student, was held at the Mesa Verde ICE Processing Center in Bakersfield for around three months.

Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman and New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis helped post Bello's $50,000 bail through the NFL Players Coalition, which according to Bakersfield.com is a social justice program comprised of professional football players.

Also contributing to Bello's bail was the New York Immigration Freedom Fund and National Bail Fund Network.

"Jose Bello was exercising a fundamental right that we pride ourselves on as Americans," said Norman at the time. "If he was detained for reciting a peaceful poem then we should really ask ourselves, are our words truly free? This is America right? Where the First Amendment is freedom of speech, unless I missed the memo somewhere. He was exercising that right."

The American Civil Liberties Union also filed a lawsuit on behalf of Bello, stating prior to his August 2019 release on bail that Bello's arrest violated his First Amendment rights.

"Bello also faces multiple felony drug and gun charges stemming from an arrest in September in Kern County, according to court records. He was released on bail Sept. 3," according to KGET.

Jesus Manjarrez, 23, and Dan Eli Perez, 38, have been arrested in connection to the Tulare case, with both men being held without without bail on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Sounds like a green on green situation.
"Deputies said they found a dozen weapons and illegal drugs after serving search warrants at multiple locations," according to KGET.

Slate of conservative candidates declare victory in hotly contested Denver suburb school board race
[FOXNEWS] Douglas County, Colo. — A slate of political novices in Douglas County, Colorado, declared victory Tuesday night in a school board race that made national headlines.Christy Williams, one of four "Kids First" candidates, read off initial results to raucous applause at a supporter appreciation party in Parker, Colorado, in the moments after polls closed.

"I am humbled to my core," Williams told Fox News. "I think there's a lot to look at, but ultimately I hope to give parents the ultimate authority over their children."

Williams was joined by Mike Peterson, Becky Myers and Kaylee Winegar. Together, they hold a lead over the teacher federation-backed CommUnity Matters slate, comprised of incumbent board members Krista Holtzmann and Kevin Leung and newcomers Ruby Martinez and Juli Watkins.

Peterson and Myers led by double-digit percentage points as of late Tuesday night, local time. Williams leds Leung by more than 7,000 votes and Winegar led Holtzmann by more than 8,000 votes.

Local NBC affiliate 9news called the race for the conservative slate after 10 p.m. MST.

The results indicate that more than half of the seven-member board could be replaced.

Ilhan Omar HUMILIATED As Her Radical Push To Defund [Replace] Police Is Rejected By Voters In MN
[100% Fed Up via Gateway] Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN) has been railing against law enforcement ever since she won fellow Muslim Keith Ellison’s House seat in 2018.

100 Percent Fed Up reports — The immigrant who came to America from Somalia, one of the most violent and lawless nations in the world, used the death of George Floyd to ignite her base and encourage them to make their communities less safe by voting to defund the police.

This evening, only hours before the polls closed, Ilhan Omar pleaded with her radical followers to go to the polls and support proposal #2, a proposal to replace the police. If Omar is missing high crime and lax law enforcement, perhaps Rep. Omar should consider making a move back to Somalia?

Unfortunately, the ultimate grievance representative from Minnesota couldn’t have been more out of touch with her constituents, as the defund the police proposal that she pushed to the end failed in the liberal state of Minnesota.

Survey: Elite-Imposed Migration Is Transforming National Politics
[Breitbart] Many Democrats want to see American society transformed by migration and diversity, according to a survey by the left-leaning Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI).

"More than six in ten Democrats (64%), mostly agree that they prefer the U.S. to be made up of people from all over the world" — instead of from American families and communities, said the survey, titled "Competing Visions of America: An Evolving Identity or a Culture Under Attack? Findings from the 2021 American Values Survey."

The late-September survey asked 2,508 Americans about various aspects of immigration and diversity. The results showed that Democrats are becoming increasingly radical but also that more Republicans are openly opposing their planned demographic replacement — and that Latinos increasingly dislike imposed diversity.

For example, more Republicans are resisting the nation’s open-door policy, according to the poll:

Republicans (28%) are less likely to have positive views of immigrants today than they were in 2018 (34%) and in 2011 (39%), and have grown more likely to believe that immigrants threaten American values (71% today, 65% in 2018, and 55% in 2011).

’Two-thirds of Republicans (65%) say instead that immigrants are a burden because they take jobs, housing, and health care," the report said.

But the survey also reported that "more than eight in ten Democrats (82%) say that immigrants strengthen the country because of their hard work and talents."

PRRI president Robert Jones spotlighted the huge shift in American politics since the 1950s-era.

Back then, domestic politics were dominated by left vs. rights arguments over how to distribute the huge profits generated by the nation’s huge manufacturing economy.

Those class-and-wages politics continue, but they get little attention from the establishment media since the bipartisan establishment doubled immigration in 1990. That doubling helped to stagnate wages, supercharge the stock market, and also shifted media coverage onto the "diversity" disputes that are used to break up the social norms developed by Americans to help share civic and economic wealth.

"Increasingly, this what American elections have been about — less about particular policies and more about who we are ..., [and] ’Are we kind of an evolving identity or are we a culture that’s been under attack?'" Jones said in a press briefing on November 1:

#1  They have made an assumption that they have cloned black peoples. Not gonna happen. Latinos are more family oriented. They gamble and I believe they have missed their intended target drastically. They run from Dem's attempt to re-shackle them.

Contenders close to ousting several Minneapolis City Council members who backed replacing police
[STARTRIBUNE] Several Minneapolis City Council members who supported the failed policing charter amendment were poised to lose their seats in ranked-choice voting Tuesday.Steve Fletcher of the Third Ward had fallen behind top challenger Michael Rainville. Phillipe Cunningham of the Fourth Ward had about half the votes as opponent LaTrisha Vetaw. Jeremiah Ellison of the Fifth Ward was locked in a tight race with competitive challengers. Jeremy Schroeder of the 11th Ward fell far behind challenger Emily Koski.

Meanwhile,
...back at the alley, Slats grabbed for his rosco...
Council Vice President Andrea Jenkins of the Eighth Ward had an overwhelming lead.

All 13 Minneapolis council members were up for re-election Tuesday, with incumbents facing challengers from across the political spectrum.

Two council candidates who favored the policing overhaul were leading in races for open seats. Jason Chavez scooped 56.9% of first-choice votes in the ward vacated by Alondra Cano, who chose not to run again. Aisha Chughtai was leading in the Tenth Ward, where Council President Lisa Bender decided not to run again, with 35.8% of first-choice votes.

New candidates fought uphill battles against City Hall veterans with many years to build name recognition: Kevin Reich of the First Ward, Cam Gordon of the Second Ward, Lisa Goodman of the Seventh Ward, Andrew Johnson of the 12th Ward and Linea Palmisano of the 13th Ward.

Jamal Osman of the Sixth Ward asked voters for another term after winning his seat last summer in a crowded special election when his predecessor Abdi Warsame left the council to head the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority. While he faced 10 competitors last year, Osman went head to head with just one repeat opponent — Abdirizak Bihi.

A Star Tribune, KARE, MPR and FRONTLINE poll showed 44% of registered voters had an unfavorable view of the City Council, while 28% were favorable and 28% had no opinion.

Council members elected this year will serve a two-year term. In 2023 another election will be held for four-year terms.

Finalizing the bill’s contents would enable its wording to be updated and finalized as well, setting up the possibility of a vote by Friday if Pelosi’s timeline holds up.

The meeting aimed at shoring up agreement on the final parts of the Build Back Better Act, which is presently valued at $1.75 trillion over the next 10 years. However,

centrist Sen. Joe Manchin
...Dem senator-for-life from West Virginia. Manchin is one of the approximately one (okay, two) Dem senators who exhibits more integrity than Jello, often even representing his constituents...
(D-WV), whose support is necessary in the almost evenly split Senate, has held up passage for weeks as he consistently negotiates the cost downward.

The largest part of the package, intended to address climate change, has remained the most contentious. Manchin, a two-term senator and former governor of coal-rich West Virginia, receives the most donations from the coal, oil and gas industries of any US politician.

Other issues still being settled include drug pricing changes for Medicare, the US’ national health insurance program for seniors and certain disabled groups. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer

(D-NY) said Tuesday afternoon that an agreement had been reached to allow Medicare Part D and Part B to negotiate drug prices.

[NYPOST] As New York City selects our next mayor, Bill de Blasio is officially on his way out from City Hall after a decade torturing the Big Apple with his Marxist spending and arming crooks over police.

How 'Let's Go Brandon' became a swipe at Joe Biden — and national media
[NYPOST] The "Let’s Go Brandon" message on the Hoods Up Quick Lube sign was up for four days, but it was long enough for the owners to make their point.Ever since Oct. 3, when an NBC news hound interviewing NASCAR driver Brandon Brown mistook a vulgar chant from the crowd — "F—k Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences. So does Afghanistan, aka Biden's Bungle...
" — as "Let’s Go Brandon," the phrase has gone viral. Within days, people across the country were sharing their displeasure with the president by putting up homemade "Let’s Go Brandon" signs along roadways. They’ve been chanting the message at high school football games, wearing it on the backs of T-shirts, and displaying it on digital signs at construction sites where they work. A rapper performing a "Let’s Go Brandon" tune on TikTok has shot to the top of the iTunes charts. Recently, a Southwest Airlines pilot was allegedly captured on video saying "Let’s Go Brandon" over the flight’s intercom, leading to an internal investigation.

Bill Bretz, chair of the Westmoreland County Republican Party, said he posted a photo of the Hoods Up Quick Lube sign on his party’s Facebook page last Thursday and it quickly caught on.

#1  Hypocognition: A long-standing failure to understand a problem — to even see it as a problem. George Lakoff: “the words or language that need to exist to frame an idea in a way which can lead to persuasive communication is either non-existent or ineffective.”
Political correctness, however, is a form of "negative cognition" - framing ideas, persuading yourself or others, so that one's ability to know is continually decreased.

#4  Not quite "Who is John Galt?" but it certainly encapsulates the current mood. And that bothers the left and the media (but, I wax redundant) a lot.

#6  There is a line in the original "The Day the Earth Stood Still" I really like. The boarding house residents are sitting around the table and one of the men said, "The Government should do something". One of the ladies said, "They are only people". The man retorted, "People my foot! They're Democrats!".

Dems To Sneek Tax break for the rich into the BBB Bill
[Yahoo]
  • Democrats are ready to repeal a Trump-era policy that cut tax breaks for residents of wealthy states.

  • Democrats have previously argued that capping the deduction for local taxes impacts wealthier blue states more.

  • However, one budget expert calls it a "gigantic expensive tax cut for the rich."

Democrats are about to include a tax break in their $1.75 trillion social spending plan that will overwhelmingly benefit higher-earning Americans.

On Tuesday, Rep. Josh Gottheimer
(Dem representing NJ-5)
of New Jersey wrote on Twitter that the provision had been added into the plan. A Democratic aide familiar with negotiations told Insider that Democrats were eyeing a five-year tax break that runs through 2025, a development first reported by Punchbowl News.

The break would also be retroactive to this year.

#1  This is probably about the Trump administration limiting deductions for second homes - which hit the (Dem) elite hard.
