Armed man who sought to kill Brett Kavanaugh arrested near Supreme Court justice's home
[CNBC] A man armed with a handgun, knife, and pepper spray was arrested by police near the Maryland home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, authorities said.

The man told police he was there to kill Kavanaugh, who lives in Chevy Chase, just outside of Washington, D.C. according to authorities.

Kavanaugh’s home, like those of other conservative Supreme Court justices, was the site of protests last month after the leak of a majority draft opinion that would overturn the constitutional right to abortion. That draft was written by Justice Samuel Alito, another conservative.

The man is not from Maryland. He arrived near Kavanaugh’s home in a taxi. Authorities said he was stopped near the residence, but not at it.

The Supreme Court in a statement said: "At approximately 1:50 a.m. today, a man was arrested near Justice Kavanaugh’s residence. The man was armed and made threats against Justice Kavanaugh."

"He was transported to Montgomery County Police 2nd District," according to the Supreme Court."

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan in a statement said that both the U.S. Marshals Service and Montgomery County Police acted "quickly to apprehend the suspect and prevent him from causing any harm."

The Supreme Court is expected in the next several weeks to issue a final decision on a Mississippi abortion law that was the subject of the draft opinion. Wednesday incident occurred hours before the court released a ruling on a case unrelated to abortion.

Montgomery County Police Department did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for comment. A spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service said the agency was looking into the arrest.

Security has been tightened at all nine of the justices’ homes since last month, after the unprecedented leak of the draft.

The Department of Justice in mid-May that the Marshals Service is providing "around-the-clock security" at the homes of all nine justices.

A spokesman for the Marshal Service told CNBC that security measures are still in place at the justices’ homes.

Hogan, the Maryland governor, said in a statement that he and Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin "will continue to partner with both federal and local law enforcement officials to help ensure these residential areas" where Supreme Court justices live "are secure.

"I call on leaders in both parties in Washington to strongly condemn these actions in no uncertain terms. It is vital to our constitutional system that the justices be able to carry out their duties without fear of violence against them and their families," Hogan said.

Biden Administration Quietly Raised Amount of Ethanol Required in Summer Blend Gasoline from Ten Percent to Fifteen
[ConservativeTreehouse] Last Friday the Biden administration raised the mandatory amount of biofuel, specifically ethanol, that must be blended within the U.S. gasoline supply. The previous amount of 10% (summer blend) was raised to a year-round 15% (waiver) by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This is likely to lead to two sets of bigger issues, less food and higher gas prices.

♦ First issue. – The Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) is a government mandate, passed in 2005 and expanded in 2007, that requires growing volumes of biofuels to be blended into U.S. transportation fuels like gasoline and diesel every year. Approximately 40 percent of corn grown in the U.S. is used for ethanol. Raising the amount of ethanol required in gasoline will result in the need for more biofuel (corn). With farming costs and outputs already under pressure this could be problematic.

♦ Second issue – The EPA enforces the biofuel standard by requiring refineries to submit purchase credits (known as Renewable Identification Numbers, or RINs) to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proving the purchases. This enforcement requirement sets up a system where the RIN credits are bought and sold by small refineries who do not have the infrastructure to do the blending process. They purchase second-hand RIN credits from parties that blended or imported biofuels directly. This sets up a secondary income stream, a trading market for the larger oil companies, refineries and importers.

The RIN credit trading platform is similar to what we might expect to see if the ‘Carbon Trading’ scheme was ever put into place. However, now that summer biofuel requirements for blended gasoline have gone from 10% to 15%, the price of the RIN credits will likely jump. This will cost refineries billions in additional expenses,…. which will mean the cost of the gasoline from the refineries will increase,….. which will mean the cost of the gasoline at the pump will go higher.

♦ Third Issue – “Ethanol is a valuable source of octane in finished gasoline, but it is chemically different than petroleum gasoline and cannot be used in concentrations above 10 percent in small engines — like outboard boat motors, motorcycles, lawnmowers, generators or chain saws — or in any cars made before 2001. Complicating matters further, most cars on the road today still aren’t warrantied to run on gasoline with more than 10 percent ethanol. Retail stations also must have compatible infrastructure in order to sell gasoline with higher ethanol blends.” This issue is known within the industry as “The Blend Wall.”

The net result of Joe Biden’s EPA raising the mandatory amount of biofuel that must be present in the U.S. gas supply is this:

(1) Less food as more corn is needed for ethanol.

(2) Higher prices for finished and blended gasoline.

(3) Vehicle engines breaking down at a much higher rate.

By Law/reg., the Gas Pumps have to be labeled "may contain up to __% ..."

We have not seen 1 station around us change the WARNING stickers to read 15%, since the announcement 3+ weeks ago. Atlanta had a 18+/- hr "maintenance" shutdown several weeks ago for prep work and South GA had spotty outages. But still no 15% yet.

NOTE: By adding 50% more alcohol to gas it reduces Corn feed and food to even lower safety margin levels.

According to reports I read of the plus or minus
14B Bushels expected for the 2022 harvest. We have a safety margin of about 200M Bushels.

October 7, 2011. For every 10 ears of corn that are grown in the United States today, only 2 are consumed directly as food.

So will 2 ears will become 1.5 ears?

#5  Most places where marine engines are common have stations selling ethanol-free gas. I expect I'll be adding enough of it to my tank at fill up time to keep the ethanol percentage to 10%. It will cost more, but still much less than a new engine.

#6  This will wreak havoc with the small engines used for lawnmowers, chainsaws, chippers, etc.

You really shouldn't be using ethanol fuel (of any percentage) in those small engines, anyway. Ethanol can damage the plastic and rubber parts in small high-rpm engines resulting in carburetor failure, higher running temperatures, and/or total engine failure.

#8  I think a lot of the cars on the road are not set up for burning high ethanol fuel -isn’t that what the ‘flex-fuel’ designation is about? So it may not take long for our cars to break down or run poorly.... then we’ll have to go buy electric ones!

#13  What is the rationale for this? Does ethanol burn cleaner? By how many tons does the administration expect this measure to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere? How many tons of carbon dioxide is released in the production of corn? How many more dollars will it cost? I want hard numbers, otherwise I must conclude that this is yet another malicious effort to destroy America.
Posted by: Abu Uluque || 06/08/2022 12:31 Comments || Top||

#14  Yeah, and the cost in dollars must include the cost to replace engines that are destroyed by ethanol or simply cannot run on ethanol.

Sudden Adult Death Syndrome Aussie style
[GatewayPundit] Australia is famous for its totalitarian COVID restrictions and vaccine mandates. The Deputy Premier of NSW boldly declared that even businesses that accept unvaccinated people will be subject to exceptionally heavy fines back in 2021.

Australia’s Northern Territory has officially imposed an authoritarian lockdown on citizens who have not been ’fully vaccinated’ against Covid-19 as officials scrambled to deal with the highly-mild Omicron variant back in January. Any individual w16 or older and who was not fully vaccinated will not be able to leave their homes until the middle of next week, even if it’s to go to work or to get exercise outdoors.

Now the country is confronting an epidemic of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. The syndrome is striking down healthy and active young people in Australia.

The Daily Mail reported:

People aged under 40 are being urged to have their hearts checked because they may potentially be at risk of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome.

The syndrome, known as SADS, has been fatal for all kinds of people regardless of whether they maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle.

SADS is an ’umbrella term to describe unexpected deaths in young people’, said The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, most commonly occurring in people under 40 years of age.

The US-based SADS Foundation has said that over half of the 4,000 annual SADS deaths of children, teens or young adults have one of the top two warning signs present.

#14  Abu - right on schedule:

Top Los Angeles law enforcement officials have warned District Attorney George Gascon this week that he will be “next” to be thrown out of office following the successful recall effort against San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin.

Boudin, a former public defender in one of America’s most liberal cities, was recalled Tuesday after 60% of the city’s voters objected to his soft-on-crime policies — as lawbreaking runs rampant in the Bay Area city.

Both prior to and shortly after the recall vote, one of Gascon’s own prosecutors and the Los Angeles County sheriff indicated the top prosecutor — one of Boudin’s predecessors as San Francisco DA — would face a similar fate.

“I think tomorrow Boudin is going to be recalled, and what I want to tell everybody and tell [Los Angeles DA] George Gascon is, you’re next,” Deputy District Attorney Jon Hatami told Fox News on Monday. “The people of Los Angeles have had enough.”

General John Allen turns out to be a Qatari asset.
[Twitter]

General John Allen, president of the Brookings Institute
John Rutherford Allen assumed the presidency of the Brookings Institution in November 2017, having most recently served as a distinguished fellow in the Foreign Policy Program at Brookings. Allen is a retired U.S. Marine Corps four-star general and former commander of the NATO International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and U.S. Forces in Afghanistan. He is the co-author of the book Turning Point: Policymaking in the Era of Artificial Intelligence alongside co-author Darrell M. West (Brookings Press, 2020). He is also the co-author of Future War and the Defence of Europe alongside LTG (Ret.) Frederick “Ben” Hodges and Professor Julian Lindley French (Oxford University Press, 2021).

Allen served in two senior diplomatic roles following his retirement from the Marine Corps. First, for 15 months as senior advisor to the secretary of defense on Middle East Security, during which he led the security dialogue for the Israeli/Palestinian peace process. President Barack Obama then appointed Allen as special presidential envoy to the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL, a position he held for 15 months. Allen’s diplomatic efforts grew the coalition to 65 members, effectively halting the expansion of ISIL. In recognition of this work, he was presented the Department of State Distinguished Honor Award by Secretary John Kerry and the Director of National Intelligence Distinguished Public Service Award by Director James Clapper.

During his nearly four-decade military career, Allen served in a variety of command and staff positions in the Marine Corps and the Joint Force. He commanded 150,000 U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan from July 2011 to February 2013. Allen is the first Marine to command a theater of war. During his tenure as ISAF commander, he recovered the 33,000 U.S. surge forces, moved the Afghan National Security Forces into the lead for combat operations, and pivoted NATO forces from being a conventional combat force into an advisory command. In Iraq, he served as Deputy Commander of Multinational Force – West, during the intense combat operations in the western desert of Al Anbar Province in 2007. Working closely with the Anbari tribes, he was a principal facilitator in the emergence of the Awakening (Sahawa) Movement of tribes of Al Anbar, which led to the defeat of Al Qaeda and other insurgent forces in Iraq’s largest province.

#1  An intelligence community 'damage assessment' review would likely conclude that... cats found in the barn owned by the farmer, were also property of the farmer. How could one safely assume otherwise? Steele's source status, "CROWN" or whatever, is actually an academic diversion which intentionally muddies the project's intent.

The goal of the project or actual intent was the establishment and sustainment of Carter Page as a recruited and paid source. Monitoring him (a US Person) as a potential espionage agent, accomplished the necessary "cover for action" goal.

Page had yet another intelligence community job to do. This is the legal work-around used to provide Page with Placement and Access (P&A) required in order to get the Trump Campaign monitoring accomplished.

The "cats in the barn" metaphor would likely also apply to Page being witting of his mission as a recruited source. One must assume he knew precisely what his mission was. He was after all, a top USNA grad, commissioned intelligence officer and seasoned operator. He knew the deal.

Posted by: Besoeker || 06/08/2022 0:30 Comments || Top||

#2  So how does Carter Page insulate himself from the scheme and mission mentioned above? Thanks for asking. He pursues the 'victim role' through legal action at Perkins Coie, imagine that. Small world, no? Yes, that's the agency, the one with the 'on-site' FBI SCIF. A legal action which eventually went nowhere, as planned.

#4  I see perjury, evidence tampering, Civil Rights Violations, Sedition, RICO, Murder, Blackmail and treason level congressional abuse.

So I'll ask the same question again.
Given all the evidence pointing out ILLEGAL
Intel, FBI, NSA, DOJ, DC Swamp activates.

When will we see Federal indictments of the leaders and not peons?

#7  Page as a "witting" asset make perfect sense B. What I suspect is that he was unaware he was being "false flagged" to essentially permit a criminal operation to undermine a legitimate American Presidential candidate, not a compromised foreign asset as he was undoubtedly led to believe. They played him as a Trojan Horse, nothing more than a cover for FISA dishonesty by Strok et al.

#8  Spot on NoMo. You can't tell me Page carried the IC mail for years, then suddenly got caught up unawares in a bad operation.

They just keep on pulling our collective legs.

10 Underreported Revelations From Trial of Former Clinton Lawyer
[ET] While former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann was acquitted of lying to the FBI, a number of new details came to light during his trial. Some haven’t been made known or been widely reported.

1. FBI Lawyer, Sussmann Met With, Sought Perkins Coie Job
Sussmann passed along claims about Clinton presidential rival Donald Trump to FBI lawyer James Baker on Sept. 19, 2016, as well as data that supposedly supported the claims.

Baker gave the information to others in the bureau, triggering an investigation. The FBI and CIA both determined the claims were unsupported.

Baker, while testifying during the trial, described Sussmann as a friend whom he met when both worked for the Department of Justice (DOJ), the FBI’s parent agency. Baker, who left the bureau in May 2018, revealed that he was seeking to work for Perkins Coie, the firm that employed Sussmann, soon after.
More details on this, and the other nine 'revelations' at the link. Nice roll up, if long-winded.
