Mayorkas Hides Migrant Deaths as He Slams Trump's Migrant ‘Separations'
[Breitbart] President Joe Biden’s border chief is celebrating his policy of reuniting legally deported migrants with the children they left in the United States — while he hides the number of migrants killed by his pro-migration policies.

“Our mission is to reunite every family that was so cruelly separated,” said Alejandro Mayorkas, the Cuban-born, pro-migration head of the Department of Homeland Security.

We are dedicated to this mission. Today we mark the reunification of more than 600 separated families. But our work is not done. It will not be done until we’ve given every family the opportunity to reunify and to heal the wounds that they have suffered. We are incredibly proud of and committed to this mission.

But elsewhere, Mayorkas also admits that many parents and children have died trying to reach the United States during Biden’s first two years in office.

The Cuban-born, pro-migration, border chief has tried to reduce the deaths, in part, to minimize media coverage of his high-migration, low-wage Extraction Migration policy. For example, Mayorkas is now urging more migrants to use his legally questionable — but certainly safer — “parole pathway” to get into U.S. jobs and homes.

“We have seen too much tragedy in the oceans of the Atlantic,” as people use boats to reach the United States from Haiti and Cuba, he told a press conference in Miami, Florida on January 30. “We have seen a loss of life — we’ve seen loved ones lose children and family members,” said Mayorkas,

Mayorkas has yet to provide an estimate of how many migrant children and adults have been killed on his watch.

Attack, Parry, Riposte... Remise
[NYPost via Lucianne] California Democrat made a bawdy joke at the expense of Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.), who has spent the week passing out AR-15-shaped lapel pins to pro-Second Amendment House members.

"Why is it so small?" Swalwell said in a tweet aimed at Clyde, who showed off the pins Thursday in a video posted on the social media platform.

To which Greene responded: "Questions only Fang Fang can answer."
-----
The 42-year-old Democrat has refused to say how intimate things got with Fang, but intelligence officials have said she had sex with at least two Midwestern mayors as she tried to get information from them
Well, we can be pretty sure "Mayor Pete" wasn't one of them

As Millions Flee Blue States, Red States Need To Remind Them Why
[ISSUESINSIGHTS] People have been fleeing leftist strongholds such as Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,, New York, and Illinois for many years.

What’s interesting about the new data is that they come in the wake of COVID, when the different approaches taken by states could not have been starker. California, New York, Illinois, Michigan, and the like used COVID to exercise maximum control over their residents — with mandates, curfews, lockdowns, and school closures.

These states received fulsome praise from every elite corner for "following the science."

States such as Florida, in contrast, put their trust in their people, and were loudly denounced. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis
...Republican governor of Florida, stone in the shoe of the Dems and their ilk, maybe one-day president...
was the bête noir of the we-believe-in-science crowd, which accused him of being complicit in murder.

As The Hill put it in late 2021, "A dark cloud hangs over the Sunshine State. COVID-19, fueled by delta variant, is running rampant in Florida and Gov. Ron DeSantis is losing the race to stop the spread of the pandemic."

Anytime there was an uptick in cases in one of these states, it made national news, with everyone from President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S., father of Hunter, close friend of an imaginary negro named Corn Pop. He blames Trump for losing Afghanistan....
on down tut-tutting them.

But despite this barrage, millions fled states that were "cracking down" on COVID for those that had taken a more laissez-faire approach.

To the liberal media, this is something of a mystery. CBS News says that the reason red states gained population was that many have "job markets that grew faster than average during the pandemic" and "housing is more affordable and available than in parts of the country that lost residents."

But it doesn’t even attempt to explain why these differences exist. Was it just dumb luck? Good weather? Magic?

Of course not. The reason jobs are plentiful and housing prices low in red states is precisely because they didn’t act like socialist dictators during COVID. And for years before COVID they tended to pursue conservative economic policies — low taxes, fiscal prudence, a pro-business climate — that the left routinely dismisses as "trickle-down economics."

The problem is that far too many of these internal migrants colonists take their ideology with them and push for the same leftist politicians and the same policies that they just fled.

It would be like Cuban refugees all voting for Castroite candidates and socialist policies as soon as they land in Florida.

This disconnect between knowing things are bad but not knowing why is troubling, if for no other reason than that blue flight ends up more like a socialist virus than a win for free markets. The more people leave places like California for more hospitable climes, the more those states start to turn blue.

It doesn’t have to be that way. Conservatives need to learn how to welcome their new additions with smiles on their faces and brochures in their hands explaining why it is that the freedom they just chose is better than the socialistic oppression they fled. Instapundit’s Glenn Reynolds has been advocating a "welcome wagon" for years.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott
... governor of Texas. Abbott is a Republican. His 2014 Dem opponent, state senatrix Wendy Davis, thought the absolute, most pressing, most important issue facing the state was abortion. Abbott beat the pantyhose off her. His 2018 opponent, Lupe Valdez didn't dwell too heavily on abortion, but she lost too...
took a step in this direction. A couple of years ago he tweeted: "To the Californians moving to Texas: Remember those high taxes, burdensome regulations, & socialistic agenda advanced in CA? We don’t believe in that. We believe in less government & more individual freedom. If you agree with that, you’ll fit right in."

We need much more of that attitude. Otherwise, the mass migration will only spread the disease of leftism further and deeper into the nation’s bloodstream.

Here in many parts of GA. if you're heard using the age-old transplant term.

"That's not how we did it back in ________".

Some of the many typical snide responses include.

"I guess that why you moved here?"

"Remind me, was that working back there?

"Do you miss it? Or, are ya just pointing how stupid it was doing it that way back there?"

"Bless your Heart, have you considered returning to show them how it should be done?"

Senators Demand Online Censorship After Public Backlash Against Mass Migration Explodes in Ireland
[Breitbart] A number of Irish senators have called for stricter censorship to be implemented online after a sudden surge in public backlash against the ongoing migrant crisis plaguing the country.

Multiple senators in Ireland have made public calls for online censorship in Ireland to be tightened in the wake of growing disquiet over the country’s pro-open borders approach to its ongoing migrant crisis, which has seen tens of thousands of people arrive in a country of just five million over the last twelve months.

With the country having a population much smaller than that of many individual U.S. states, the impact of the thousands of arrivals has been devastating for many local communities, with many ordinary Irish people now struggling to find affordable accommodation in the country as the government focuses on housing both Ukrainian and non-Ukrainian migrants from abroad.

Such a political decision, which has also largely been backed by the country’s main opposition party, Sinn Féin, has sparked significant disquiet amongst the general public with a growing number of protests taking place across the country against the policy of moving hundreds of asylum seekers into local areas that are already struggling with housing supply issues.

In response to this growing resistance, senators from a variety of parties and none across the nation’s parliament have called for censorship to be stepped up online in the hopes that it will curb growing resistance to mass migration.

Speaking in the country’s Seanad Éireann on Tuesday, leftist Senator Marie Sherlock attempted to link general “anti-refugee sentiment” to an alleged violent incident that is said to have occurred at a migrant camp located in the country’s capital of Dublin.

Described as involving men with dogs and a baseball bat attacking a migrant camp in the capital, significant questions have been raised regarding the accuracy of legacy media reporting of the attack, with multiple major outlets in the country having since amended reports on the incident after discrepancies were highlighted by reports published in online news publication Gript Media.

“We have all seen the anti-refugee sentiment present now in many of our communities,” Senator Sherlock claimed in reference to the alleged incident that is now being investigated by police.

“There are, of course, many things the Government and the State can do to try to head off the rise in this very ugly sentiment,” she continued. “Some of the largest social media platform companies have their Europe, Middle East and Asia, EMEA, headquarters here in Dublin.”

“These social media platforms can do many things in respect of security checks, anonymous accounts, as we all know, and content moderation,” she went on to say.

Such a call was backed by independent Senator Eileen Flynn, who claimed that, while new legislation did not need to be put in place, social media companies needed to increase censorship in Ireland.

“We all have freedom of speech and should have freedom of speech but when your speech becomes a threat and becomes hate towards a community or individual, it is no longer freedom of speech. What you are doing is hate speech,” she told the Irish senate.

“Nobody is really safe around social media. We need to look at how we can keep people safe,” she added. The senator continued: “what we need is for Facebook, Twitter and all those apps and social media platforms to be able to act to protect ordinary citizens.”

Another politician, Senator Mark Daly from the government Fianna Fáil party, also decried social media, describing it as being a “wild west” with “people hiding behind it being able to say things that they would not be able to get away with in other media.”

The debate was then eventually finalised by Ireland’s senate leader and Daly’s fellow Fianna Fáil party member, Lisa Chambers, who agreed that the government must ” try to tackle” the growing anti-mass migration sentiment on social media, adding that she will request that the government further look into the issue.

Trump 2024 Campaign Pledges To Build Missile Defense Shield: '’Peace Through Strength''
[REALCLEARPOLITICS] Former President Donald Trump
...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party...
introduced a new defense policy plan for his 2024 campaign this week, promising to build "a state-of-the-art, next-generation missile defense shield" to protect the U.S. from hypersonic missiles.

"Just as Israel is now protected by the Iron Dome, a dream once thought impossible, America must have an impenetrable dome to protect our people," Trump said. "We have technology that is unsurpassed, but our past leaders haven't really wanted to use it."

"Just as I rebuilt our military, especially our nuclear capabilities, I will build a shield to defend America from missile attack. We will have peace through strength."
