[Federalist] President Joe Biden claimed from the 2020 presidential debate stage that his son has not "made money" from China, but Hunter Biden confirmed on Wednesday that he received several payments from Chinese Communist Party-linked companies and individuals.
Hunter’s confession, revealed during a closed-door testimony to the House Oversight Committee, not only corroborates evidence uncovered by Republican impeachment investigators but also invalidates claims made by Joe on the 2020 campaign trail to evade scrutiny for his involvement in Hunter’s foreign business deals.
Also reportedly testified that Joe Biden is the "Big Guy."

Given how sketchy Jojo's health might actually be, does anybody know if the President can grant a Pardon but NOT have it enacted or dated until a later date? So if he suddenly goes to room temp or comatose, the crime family is secure. Otherwise, Kamala-la-la just might enjoy the spectacle of Dr. Jill doing a perp walk?
[FoxNews] Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will appear before the GOP-controlled House Armed Services Committee. Several lawmakers on the committee have blasted the secretary both for not informing Congress of his days-long hospital visit, but also for keeping President Biden in the dark.

Please you feckless Washington morons, can't you see this Austin issue is a psychological media diversion. Drop it and concentrate on the border issue ferfoksake.

As a long term survivor with radical surgery to stop it.... Austin was a idiot to think his surgery would be an out patient visit. It took me a long long time with 7 days of it hospital to recover. Even the most minor of cancers is big dice roll with surgery.

Even with a biopsy they have no idea how big or bad it is until they try to remove it.
The direction with the least pressure for prostrates to grow (hell even those without cancer that are just kind of mutant and produce massive amount like you see in some sex videos where the partner is covered in real instead of fake product - those are likely grown into the bladder and the actor should race toward a Proctologists)

I am mystified at why the Biden Cabinet keeps disappearing. How long was Buttigieg gone for? Nobody knows because he is basically useless. It seems like Austin could have just sent an email and took some time off. The total destruction of our military capabilities can wait a couple of days. It’s not like an acting Sec of Defense could have reversed a bunch of Biden initiatives. It’s not like he has to sign the payroll checks.

Re #5: If Israel were not as careful as it has been to avoid deliberately targeting civilians, I think the toll would have been much, much higher. If Hamas had not been using human shields, the toll would have been much lower.
If the 25,000 number is even remotely accurate.

[Washington Examiner] The Department of Energy finalized efficiency standards on Thursday for new residential clothes washers and dryers coming to the market in an effort to reduce carbon emissions and cut down energy costs for consumers.
The DOE expects the finalized rule to save consumers $2.2 billion per year on utility bills, amounting to $39 billion over 30 years, according to a press release. The rules are also expected to reduce 71 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions, the equivalent of emissions from 9 million homes.
"For decades, DOE’s appliance standards actions for clothes washers and dryers have provided loads of savings for American families while also de-creasing harmful carbon emissions," Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm said in a statement. "With strong support from industry leaders and consumer advocates, DOE will continue to roll out innovative appliance solutions throughout 2024 to lower costs for the American people—continuing the cycle of household savings that are the backbone of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda."
The clothes washer standards are expected to allow for between 9%-11% in energy savings and 17%-28% in water savings, while the standards for clothes dryers are expected to use 40% less energy. Compliance is expected to be required from March 1, 2028.

The mission of the DoE was to make America energy independent. It failed. It's been spending its time dictating a substandard of living for the people. Rip out the old Atomic Energy Commission and shut the rest down.

If they make the standard twice as strict, we will conserve twice as much energy and save the planet even sooner.
Of course, twice as 'efficient' means you have to run the appliance 2 or 3 times as long to do the same job.
Sure, it seems pointless, but we have to do something!
[American Thinker] Talk about fortuitous! In a strange turn of events, one of Gavin Newsom’s biggest donors hits the jackpot, and when the state-mandated $20 minimum wage for certain fast-food workers takes effect in April, this lucky duck employer won’t be subject to complying with the increase, thanks to an "obscure" exemption in the statute.
Here’s the story, from Fox News yesterday:
A major donor to Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom is expected to reap the benefit of an obscure exemption to the state’s new $20 minimum wage regulations for the fast food industry that will allow some of his restaurants to continue paying lower wages.
Here’s how the report from Bloomberg framed the issue:
The governor pushed for a carve-out that’s perplexed industry observers and benefited a donor.
Greg Flynn is a billionaire, one of Newsom’s (and other Democrats’) most loyal and longtime benefactors, and according to Bloomberg, "the largest restaurant franchisee in the US, if not the world." Flynn’s fast-food portfolio includes establishments like Taco Bell, Wendy’s, and Pizza Hut... but his California fast-food portfolio is limited to one brand: Panera Bread.
And, surprise surprise, the new law’s "obscure exemption" seems only applicable to... Panera Bread. As the Fox report states:
Newsom pushed for the exemption, which allows restaurants baking and selling bread as a standalone item to continue paying the current rate of $16 to its employees. That means billionaire Greg Flynn, a longtime donor to the governor, could save hundreds of thousands of dollars a year per each of his two-dozen Panera Bread franchise locations across California....
Interesting. What happened to all of Newsom’s "fair share" talk?
Flynn and Newsome go way back; from Bloomberg:
Flynn attended the same high school as Newsom in the suburbs outside San Francisco.
Over the years, Flynn’s donations to Newsom’s political campaigns have included $100,000 to fight off a conservative-led recall effort and $64,800 to support the governor’s reelection in 2022. Flynn has been known to tout his relationship with Newsom, according to people familiar with the matter, with one saying the fast-food entrepreneur has said he can reach the governor via text.
A business connection goes back to 2014, when Flynn acquired a Napa Valley resort managed by Newsom’s hospitality company. Newsom, who was then serving as California’s lieutenant governor, reported an undisclosed amount of income from Flynn’s company that year.
(Oh, and apparently all of Newsom’s assets were placed into a blind trust in 2018 when he won the gubernatorial race—so not a lot of financial transparency there either.)

Hmm...work over here for $20 a hour or at Panera for less? Hard decision. I suspect Panera is going to experience the Chipotle effect - regular retraining to avoid shut downs and recalls because of listeria and other exotic contamination of their product.
[RCW] The revelation that the U.S. intelligence community, under the Obama administration, sought the assistance of the "Five Eyes" intelligence alliance to surveil Donald Trump’s associates before the 2016 election is a chilling reminder of the lengths to which the Deep State will go to protect its interests and challenge its adversaries. (The Five Eyes countries are the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.) This bombshell, reported by a team of independent journalists, exposes a dark chapter in American political history, where foreign intelligence services were reportedly mobilized against a presidential candidate. "Asked" ? That really isn't how it works.
The alleged operation against Trump and his associates, which predates the official start of the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation, is a stark example of political weaponization of intelligence. The involvement of foreign allies in surveilling American citizens under the pretext of national security raises serious questions about the integrity of our democratic processes and the autonomy of our nation’s intelligence operations.
The narrative that has been pushed for years, that the investigation into Trump’s campaign began with an Australian tip about a boastful Trump aide, now appears to be a cover for a more extensive and coordinated effort to undermine Trump. If reports are accurate, British intelligence began targeting Trump on behalf of American intelligence agencies as early as 2015, long before the official narrative claims.
The implications of this are profound. It suggests an unprecedented level of collusion between U.S. intelligence agencies and their foreign counterparts to influence the outcome of an American presidential election. The use of foreign intelligence to circumvent American laws and surveillance limitations represents a grave threat to our nation’s sovereignty and the principles of democracy.
The fact that this operation was reportedly initiated at the behest of high-ranking officials within the Obama administration, including CIA Director John Brennan, only adds to the severity of the situation. Brennan’s alleged identification of Trump associates for surveillance by the Five Eyes alliance, and the directive to "bump" or make contact with them, illustrates a deliberate strategy to entangle the Trump campaign in a web of suspicion and intrigue.
Moreover, the reported involvement of foreign intelligence in crafting the Russia collusion narrative not only delegitimizes the subsequent investigation but also highlights the willingness of certain elements within the U.S. government to exploit international partnerships for domestic political gain. This revelation demands a thorough and transparent examination to ensure that such abuses of power are brought to light and severely punished to discourage them from being repeated.
As more details emerge, it is imperative that the American public demand accountability from those who orchestrated and executed this operation. The sanctity of our electoral process and the trust in our intelligence agencies are at stake. We must not allow the politicization of intelligence to go unchecked, nor can we tolerate the involvement of foreign powers in our democratic processes.

Basically, this is looking like the CIA had infiltrated Ukraine for the purposes of provoking Russia to start WWIII. Trump wasn’t down with that type of stuff so Vindman and Caramella, his own staff, were weaponized to take him down. J6 was an illegal CIA op to kick him out the door and nail it shut. Now most of DC is actively trying to hose more money into the original infiltration because the stupid button is fouled with Gorilla Glue.

As the polling gets better and better for Trump, the cracks in the IC will increase as lesser players inside the "Green Door" see accountability and retribution coming and want to flip sides to save their ass. My guess is that the "Binder" being sought by so many has personal identifiers that put certain high profile persons in the criminal spotlight.

yes, all the five eyes ask their over-the-border brothers to spy on their citizens for them to circumvent the domestic laws that stop them.
these unaccountable security state agencies - many now with black budgets - have become a law unto themselves
they are running the show
they're not elected, not accountable to anyone not even congress
in australia not accountable either
we have to put the control of the country back into the hands of the civilian government
possibly these agencies need to be entirely shut down - they are a risk to us, more of a risk than any purported foreign enemy

investigation into Trump’s campaign began with an Australian tip about a boastful Trump aide
That shameful australian was ALEXANDER DOWNER the same man who as foreign minister got australia's version of the CIA, "ASIO" to stop investigating the jakarta embassy bombing and misuse its resources to spy on impoverished East Timor for the benefit of a Woodside Petroleum led consortium of energy companies. And why? They were too stingy to pipe East Timor's under-sea gas onshore to East Timor's southern coast for processing. East Timor desperately needed this processing to create infrastructure like roads.
So Asio spied on them to make sure Australia could cheat them at the negotiating table, because Alexander Downer and DFAT decided that Woodside's interests (majority owned by foreign pension funds) was the same as Australia's interests
That's who dirtied up Trump and started Russiagate.

My wife joined a newcomers club in Wilson NC back in the day. As I remember anyone who hadn’t lived there for 20 years was eligible. Something about if you couldn’t follow directions based on turns made where Junior’s General store used to be, you needed the support of fellow newcomers. Anyway, the bylaws of that club will need some serious revision to accommodate Jose the Guatemalan stabler.
