Mastermind of Kabul University Attack Sentenced to Death
[ToloNews] Mohammad Adil, the criminal mastermind of Kabul University attack, was sentenced to death by the Supreme Court, says the Interior Affairs Ministry.

The Supreme Court in a statement said that five other collaborators of the attack were sentenced to various jail terms on charges of treason, transfer of kabooms and cooperation with ISIS.

On November 2, 2020, at least 22 people were killed and over 40 others were maimed after two button men attacked Kabul University, a raid that ended after six hours.

In total, 18 students, 16 students from the Public Administration Faculty and two of them from the Law Faculty, bit the dust in the attack.

The attackers had military uniforms.

Later on, Afghanistan’s First Vice President Amrullah Saleh blamed the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
for the Kabul University attack and said there are many evidences to prove his claim.

But the Taliban rejected Saleh’s claims.

Ten of those killed were female students. They were students of the public administration faculty.

All students who bit the dust aged between 20 to 26 years old.

At least 25,000 students are enrolled at Kabul University.

Two Separate Attacks Claim Civil Society Activist, Tribal Leader
[KhaamaPress] A civil society activist, Abdi Jahid, was killed in unknown button men attack in Kabul city on Thursday evening.

Abdi was a civil society activist in Nahrin district of northern Baghlan province, police stated on Friday.

No further details were provided.

Meanwhile,
...back at the abandoned silver mine, a triangular dorsal fin appeared in the water. Then another...
Abdul Baqi, a tribal leader was killed in an liquidation attack by unknown gunnies in Lashkargah city of Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
province on the same day.

According to police, he was killed on Thursday evening in Lashkargah city.

Targeted killings and attacks have increased in Afghanistan and across the country, on the same day in Kabul’s Chehel Sutoon area a magnetic IED targeted a vehicle carrying employees of the Presidential Palace, one person was killed and another was left maimed.

The Ministry of Interior says that "Death Eaters have recently changed their approach to further effective murderous Moslem activities".

Interior Ministry front man Tariq Arian wrote on his Facebook on Friday, that "terrorists" have recently changed their battling "approaches".

Arian noted that several bakers and street vendors have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activities and security officials thwarted some insurgency attacks.

He stressed that the security agencies have understood the new tricks of the Death Eaters and have so far identified and arrested several groups of them.

According to the front man for the Ministry of Interior, the Death Eaters are trying to utilize tools so that the public could not become suspicious.

Earlier the murderous Moslem groups have used coverts, deception, and surprise attacks to kill journalists, public figures, and government officials in Afghanistan.

Security officials have previously blamed such attacks on the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
, saying that they use these tactics, but do not claim the responsibility for it.

Afghan Journalist Killed in Ghor, 6th in Two Months
[ToloNews] Bismillah Adil Aimaq, a journalist and civil society activist in Ghor, was killed in an attack by unknown gunnies in the city of Feroz Koh, the center of the province, local officials said.

Ghor governor's front man Mohammad Aref Abir said that Adil was head of a local radio station, Radio Sada-e-Ghor, and was killed in an attack by unknown gunnies in Dara-e-Taimoor village on the outskirts of Feroz Koh.

This comes a week after a journalist in Ghazni, Rahmatullah Nikzad, who was head of the journalists' union in the province, was killed in an attack by gunnies outside his home in Ghazni city.

Former TOLOnews presenter Yama Siawash, Radio Azadi news hound Elyas Daee, Enekaas TV's presenter in Nangarhar

Malala Maiwand, and Ariana News presenter Fardin Amini all have been killed in different incidents since November 7.

Violence against journalists and media has increased in Afghanistan in recent months, although a respite might have been expected as a result of the peace talks between the Taliban

and the Afghan government.

50 journalists were killed worldwide in 2020, according to a report of abusive treatment and violence against journalists, published last week by Reporters Without Borders (RSF).

While the number of journalists killed in countries at war continues to fall, more are being murdered in countries not at war, the report said.

Balkh Hospital Remains Closed Due to ‘Taliban Threat’: Official
[ToloNews] A 50-bed hospital in Dawlat Abad district in the northern province of Balkh has remained closed for over a month due to "threats by the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
," an official said, adding that the group has threatened health officials to avoid going to the center unless security outposts nearby are removed.

Ghawsuddin Anwari, the acting head of the Balkh health directorate, said all doctors and health workers have not gone to the hospital since Nov. 21, 2020.

"A notice came from the Taliban in November in which they had asked the employees not to go to the hospital until security forces leave (the areas around) the hospital," Anwari said.

Some Dawlat Abad district residents who have traveled to Mazar-e-Sharif city for treatment due to the closure of the hospital in their area said the issue has faced them with many problems, including high expenses of traveling to the center of the province.

"There isn’t any hospital in Dawlat Abad. We brought our patient here (Mazar-e-Sharif) with many hardships," said Zalmay, a resident of Dawlat Abad.

"We are faced with many problems. We pay Afs3,000 ($38) to 4,000 ($51) to travel to Mazar-e-Sharif," said Ghulam Sakhi, 45, a resident of Dawlat Abad.

The provincial office of Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission said the use of public places as a military target is not acceptable and is in contravention of international laws.

"Use of public places like mosques, schools and cultural sites in conflicts as a shield is not allowed," said Sayed Mohammad Same, head of the commission in the north.

Balkh police said the security outposts located near the Dawlat Abad hospital have been removed.

"There was a place behind the hospital where security forces went for operations as it was suitable for this purpose. The Balkh police leadership held talks with defense forces and agreed to leave the area temporarily," Balkh police front man Adil Shah Adil said.

Car bomb targeting Turkish company kills four in Somalia - ministry
[JPost] Turkey has been a major source of aid to Somalia following a famine in 2011 as Ankara seeks to increase its influence in the Horn of Africa.

A car bomb targeting workers of a Turkish company killed four people including one Turkish citizen on Saturday in Somalia, Turkey's Foreign Ministry said.

The company's staff were working on the construction of a road between Mogadishu and Afgoye, northwest of the capital, the ministry statement said. It did not say who was behind the attack.

Somali government officials did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment. The attack occurred outside the capital Mogadishu, according to residents in the area of the blast.

Turkey has been a major source of aid to Somalia following a famine in 2011 as Ankara seeks to increase its influence in the Horn of Africa to counter Gulf rivals like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Last January, Somalia's al Shabaab insurgents took responsibility for a car bombing that wounded at least 15 people in Afgoye, with those injured comprising Turkish contractors as well as Somali nationals.

A group of Turkish engineers was also among those hit in late December 2019 in a blast at a checkpoint in Mogadishu that killed at least 90 people.

In recent years Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has become a close ally of the Somali government. Ankara has built schools,
...some of which were no doubt Gulenist schools the Turkish government confiscated when they started rounding them up....
hospitals and infrastructure and provided scholarships for Somalis to study in Turkey. In 2017, Turkey opened its biggest overseas military base in Mogadishu.

However that alliance has inserted Somalia into the center of a regional struggle between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates on one side and Qatar backed by Turkey on the other.

Africa Subsaharan
At least 17 villagers hacked to death in eastern Congo
[JPost] At least 17 people were found hacked to death in a part of eastern Democratic Republic of Congo ravaged by attacks from Islamist militants, a local official said on Friday.

Donat Kibwana, the administrator of Beni territory, blamed the deaths near the town of Eringeti on the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF),
...an Islamist group that started out in Uganda. They don't appear to be affiliated with al-Qaeda or Islamic State. They just like killing infidels...
a Ugandan armed Islamist group which has emerged in recent years as the most lethal of the militias in Congo's eastern borderlands.

"Yesterday morning, Congolese army soldiers were on patrol when they found 17 bodies," Kibwana told Reuters. "The modus operandi allows us to say that the ADF rebels are responsible."

More than 1,000 civilians have been killed in attacks attributed to the ADF in 2019 and 2020, according to UN figures.

Congo's eastern borderlands with Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi have been plagued by attacks by militias, many formed of remnants of groups that fought in Congo's civil wars around the turn of the century.

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for many suspected ADF attacks in the past, although UN experts said this week that they have been unable to confirm any direct link between the two groups.
Deutsche Welle adds:
The killings occurred in the village of Tingwe, about 8 kilometers (5 miles) from the town of Eringeti.

Bravo Muhindo, a civil society representative, put the death toll at a minimum of 30, saying many were beheaded. An unknown number of others were kidnapped.
Al Ahram points out:
The ADF is one of more than 100 militias that plague the eastern provinces of the vast country and has been blamed for the deaths of hundreds of civilians over the past year.

Islamic state claims knife attack in capital of Russia’s southern Chechnya
[Jpost] Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
has grabbed credit for a knife attack on police on Monday in the capital of Russia’s southern Chechnya region, al-Naba newspaper affiliated with the group said on Friday.
It made the claim without providing any evidence.

Two assailants killed one policeman and injured another on Monday in Grozny, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said. The poor and mainly Moslem region has seen previous attacks on security officials and an insurgency since Moscow fought two wars with separatists after the 1991 Soviet Union breakup.

Kadyrov said the attackers were brothers from the neighboring region of Ingushetia who worked at a bakery in Chechnya. They were rubbed out while trying to seize weapons, he said.

#3  Weaponizing the muslim mujaheddin and losing control of the process itself did not teach the demoncrats jack. They had to go and recruit all the degenerate basement dwellers and incel leg humpers within the country too.

Earlier it was Rooshia that was so bloody bad they couldn't let it muck around in the Asian dung heap, no sir. Today, the policeman, the nationalist, the conservative, the free citizen is such a threat he/she has to be put in place with steel bats and threats of rape. It's the same experiment, from the pages of the carter doctrine, adapted for use in America. Soon, there will be something like the taliban in the streets of America.

Nancy Pelosi served these bastards as loyally as the old guard did Stalin's commies. She defended these vermin and their kind, against your national interest and against all common decency. If her head ever does meet the steel bat the nation should be so lucky.

US to move aircraft carrier out of Mideast amid Iran tension
[AlAhram] The US has maintained a near-continuous aircraft carrier presence in the Persian Gulf since 2019 amid concerns that Iran was considering attacking US interests in the region

The Pentagon has decided to send home the only Navy aircraft carrier operating in the Middle East, a move that will reduce American firepower in the region amid heightened tensions with Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The decision, announced Thursday by the acting secretary of defense, Christopher Miller, came one day after Air Force B-52 bombers flew nonstop from the United States to the Persian Gulf in a show of force that military officials said was intended to caution Iran against carrying out attacks against U.S. forces or interests.

#3  US Naval Institute News reports:

USS Nimitz (CVN-68) and its carrier strike group will begin transiting from Africa to their West Coast homeports after the acting defense secretary announced today their deployment would be coming to a close.

The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group departed San Diego, Calif., in May for a deployment to the Middle East that began in June. The strike group left the Middle East in November for a quick exercise with the Indian Navy and then returned back to U.S. 5th Fleet.

Two weeks ago, the strike group repositioned to the Horn of Africa, sitting off the coast of Somalia to provide assistance as about 700 U.S. military members were relocated from Somalia to other nearby countries in a reshuffling of personnel directed by the Trump administration.

“The Secretary appreciates the hard work, commitment, and flexibility of more than 5,000 Sailors and Marines of the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group who repeatedly demonstrated operational excellence in providing air support to combat operations against terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan and ensuring maritime security in critical waterways,” Jonathan Rath Hoffman, Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs, said in a statement today.

“The Nimitz team provided persistent air cover during the troop drawdowns in Afghanistan and conducted operations and exercises that strengthened enduring partnerships and alliances in the U.S. Central Command and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command areas of responsibility.”

The Nimitz CSG was the first strike group to deploy under the Navy’s new COVID-19 procedures to ensure the team didn’t deploy with the virus onboard.
