Afghanistan
NDS seize suicide vests placed in used clothes in Kabul
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] National Directorate of Security
...the Afghan national intel agency...
(NDS) personnel have seized boom jackets and other kabooms placed in used clothes, locally known as Lilamy, in Kabul.

A statement issued by the NDS Thursday morning states that the seized items include two boom jackets, eight bombs, five explosive capsules and other explosive and terrorist materials.

NDS statement adds that the materials which were placed in used clothes were delivered in a Saracha vehicle from Pashtun-infested Logar province to Kabul.

Ghulam Safa who goes by Qandagha was also jugged
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
for transporting these materials in the jurisdiction of Chaharasyab District of Kabul province.

NDS statements usually do not contain the exact date of the achievement but a statement is issued after a recent action.

Due to heavy security at the entry gates of Kabul, Lions of Islam use different techniques including used clothes to bring bombs, weapons and other material for their activities in Kabul

Most of the Afghans because of having damaged economy in far flung areas as well as in capital Kabul utilize used clothes which come from foreign countries through the borders.

In July 2014 also huge quantity of explosives and other terrorist materials were seized in Kabul which according to the NDS terrorist had brought in using used clothes.

It's because patterned socks (even or especially o'doom) were never meant to be paired. You have sock and anti-sock as soon as they get into the dryer the anti-sock builds up enough energy and transports it self to the "other side".

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] Civilians have killed three kidnappers in fighting and hanged their bodies on an advertisement board in southern Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
province.

Najibullah Hayat, District Governor of Dilaram in southwestern Nimroz province says "Three days ago, a group of kidnappers kidnapped a resident of Dilaram District and took him to neighboring Helmand province. Then residents of Dilaram decided to bring him back from the kidnappers. "

He added that after following the kidnappers, Dilaram residents arrived in Washir District of Helmand province where a fighting erupted between the residents and kidnappers.

"Three kidnappers were killed in the fighting and later hanged on an advertisement board in the city of Washir District by Dilaram resident", he said.

He said the purpose residents hanged bodies of the kidnappers on the advertisement board was to teach a lesson to other kidnappers.

He further said that the dead bodies were hanged on the advertisement board for a few hours but now they are in the District Hospital of Washir District.

A resident of Dilaram also died in the fighting, Najibullah Hayat added.

Most of the kidnap cases in Afghanistan happen for money where kidnappers demand big money.

Arabia
Al-Qaeda holy man killed in Yemen drone strike, AQAP says
[YEMENONLINE.INFO] A senior holy man for al Qaeda's affiliate in Yemen was killed along with three other people in a drone strike on their vehicle January 31 in Yemen, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula
...the latest incarnation of various Qaeda and Qaeda-allied groups, including the now-defunct Aden-Abyan Islamic Army that boomed the USS Cole in 2000...
said Thursday.

The holy man, Harith bin Ghazi al-Nadhari, was killed in Yemen's south-central Shabwa province, AQAP said.

The strike would be a further indication that a U.S.-led drone strike program is continuing following a pause during political upheaval in the majority Sunni Moslem nation.

The United States has long conducted drone strikes against AQAP targets under the B.O. regime. But the New America Foundation, which tracks the strikes, says there was a nearly two-month pause in the strikes in late 2014 and early 2015 as Shiite Moslem Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
rebels moved against Yemen's U.S.-backed government.

That uprising culminated in the resignation of Yemeni government's top leaders in mid-January. A week later, the U.S. drone strikes resumed, with a strike east of the capital, Sanaa, three U.S. officials said at the time.

Al-Nadhari made headlines in November when he inserted himself into a rivalry between al Qaeda and ISIS, or the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
in Iraq and Syria.

ISIS has captured parts of Syria and Iraq for what it calls its Islamic caliphate. In mid-November, ISIS leader His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
...formerly merely the head of ISIL and a veteran of the Bagram jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us...
issued an audiotape saying his Islamic State had expanded to Yemen and other Middle Eastern countries.

Al-Nadhari responded harshly in a video a week later, saying al-Baghdadi's declaration of an Islamic caliphate was illegitimate.

"Our brothers in the Islamic State ... surprised us with several steps, including their announcement of the caliphate (and) they announced the expansion of the caliphate in a number of countries which they have have no governance, and considered them to be provinces that belonged to them," al-Nadhari said, according to a translation by the SITE intelligence group.

"The announcement of the caliphate for all Moslems by our brothers in the Islamic State did not meet the required conditions," al-Nashari argued, because other jihadi groups were not consulted.
Ynet shares the interesting fact of the holy man's age:
The slain holy man was identified as Sheikh Harith al-Nadhari, said to be in his 30s. Often seen in a white turban, he was among the group's few public faces frequently featured in online religious lectures. He also recently appeared in an al Qaeda video praising last month's deadly attack at the offices of French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo
...A lefty French satirical magazine, home of what may well be the majority if the active testicles left in Europe...

Two youths killed in Rab shootout at Jatrabari
[PRIMENEWS.BD] Two unidentified youths
Good lord -- our first no-namers, the epitome of poverty in Bangladeshi society.
were killed in an alleged incident of shootout
...alleged means claimed but not proven, so possibly the reporter got it wrong and our two poverty-stricken nameless lads are safely home with their mothers, as alive as you and I, dear Reader...
with the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at Jatrabari area
...suitably proletarian, one hopes...
in the city early on Wednesday.
That'd be O dark thirty, one imagines, when all law abiding citizens are safely tucked in their neat little beds...
The identities of the youths aged around 30 were not known immediately
Of course not, when they had no names to know, though here in the West full grown men of thirty years are no longer considered youths
Well, life is hard in Bangladesh. They could've been fifteen, but looked thirty.
...
after the incident at Katherpool area of Matuail in Jatrabari.
"What incident?"
"The incident. Surely you haven't already forgotten -- it was a nine days' wonder for at least a day and a half!"
Sub Inspector (SI) Mamun of Jatrabari police Station said miscreants hurled bomb at petrol vehicle of Rab when the elite force fired at the miscreants leaving the two injured.
Now there's an efficient statement, leaving out only the informative call from
Mahmoud the Weasel's grandnephew, who'd taken over the family business when Gramps dialing finger got a bit too arthritic, Spidey senses tingling in the suitably proletarian miscreant hidey hole cum meeting place, henchmen disappearing as if they'd never been, and the Spot whereupon the bullet-hit miscreants took a well-trained fall
They were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared them dead, the SI added.
"They're dead, Jim."
"Dr. Quincy, how do you always know?!"

The Grand Turk
Video shows French attacker deported from Turkey
[Ynet] Turkish security camera footage shows a former criminal accused of attacking three soldiers outside a Jewish community center in La Belle France being deported from Turkey. A Turkish official confirmed Thursday the man on the video is 30-year-old Moussa Coulibaly.

La Belle France last week flagged Coulibaly to Turkish authorities before he flew to Turkey -- a transit point for jihadis joining Islamic krazed killer groups fighting in Syria and Iraq. The incident pointed at improved Turkish-French coordination in combatting the movement of jihadis.

of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) have been captured in the southeastern Turkish province of Gaziantep over the past week.

While four individuals thought to be ISIL members were captured in Gaziantep's Oguzeli district on Feb. 2, one more was captured in the same place on Feb. 4, according to announcements on the General Staff's website.

The alleged ISIL members were seized during security forces road inspections.

While a number of foreign ISIL members have started being captured in Turkey, a Turkish citizen was recently tossed in the clink
I ain't sayin' nuttin' widdout me mout'piece!
for being a member of ISIL for the first time in the country, daily Vatan had reported on Feb. 4.

The 38-year-old man, identified as Musa Göktaş, reportedly crossed into Syria to join the ISIL gunnies with his 15-year-old twin sons on Oct. 8, 2014. His wife later reported to police that her husband and children were missing, suspecting that her sons had joined ISIL with their father without telling her.

Göktaş was detained on Jan. 27 by police during an identity check while on a bus in Gaziantep that was traveling to Ankara, where he was living before leaving the country.

Göktaş has been questioned on charges of being a member of ISIL and arrested by an Ankara court on suspicion of escaping and spoiling evidence.

Jordanians inscribed bombs used to strike Islamic State targets
[Ynet] State television releases footage of Jordanians inscribing messages to radical Islamists on bombs before warplanes takeoff.

Hours after Jordanian jets returned home on Thursday after striking Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. targets in Syria, local media broadcast a video capturing the operation's commencement, showing Jordanian personnel writing messages to ISIS on the warplanes' bombs.

The outrage on the Jordanian street has been simmering for the past few days ‐ both because of the cruelty of the Islamic State's fighters and a feeling by some of the public that their king had dragged Jordan into an American war that was not in their benefit.

On Thursday night, those feeling spurned received a measure of relief. Footage of the operation which was named after Mouath al-Kasaesbeh ‐ the pilot burned to death by ISIS ‐ and shows Jordanians inscribing bombs with messages to the Islamist radicals.

"Dedicated from the flight officers to the dogs of Daesh," one wrote on a bomb, referring to the Arabic name for ISIS.

The warplanes are then seeing taking off for the operation to bomb the bad boys.

A military statement, read on state TV, was entitled, "This is the beginning and you will get to know the Jordanians" ‐ an apparent warning to ISIS. It said the strikes will continue "until we eliminate them."

#2  In contrast to this the Western political leadership's policy after 9/11 was to suppress or ostracize any expression of outrage.
Also a conscious effort was made not to associate the military response with notions of retribution or retaliation.

Shock, fear and grief at times verging on maudlin sentimentality, all of these emotional responses were permissible. Not so for anything like anger or outrage at an act of infamous betrayal.

[Al Ahram] Jordan on Thursday released from jail a key Salafist figure and former Al-Qaeda mentor nabbed
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
in October for allegedly propagating "terrorist" ideas, a judicial source said.

The decision to free Issam Barqawi, who was once mentor to slain Al-Qaeda leader in Iraq Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, was taken by the head of the state security court, a military tribunal.

He ruled against a decision by the state prosecutor to put Barqawi on trial and ordered "his immediate release", the source said.

When Barqawi was arrested, the prosecutor general accused him of "using the Internet to propagate the ideas of the terrorist group Al-Nusra
...the current nom de guerre of al-Qaeda in the Levant, which isn't to be confused with al-Qaeda in Iraq and the Levant...
Front", Al-Qaeda's Syria branch.

The source gave no reasons for the decision, which comes a day after Jordan executed two Iraqi Al-Qaeda-linked jihadists in response to the burning alive by the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. group of one of its fighter pilots.

Jordan said it hanged female myrmidon Sajida al-Rishawi and Al-Qaeda member Ziad al-Karboli -- who were both on death row -- before dawn on Wednesday.

Rishawi, 44, was sentenced to death for her role in triple hotel bombings in Amman in 2005 that killed 60 people, and that were claimed by Jordan-born Zarqawi.

Also known as Mohammed al-Maqdessi, Barqawi's arrest last year came just four months after he had been released from jail after completing a sentence in connection with another case.

He had been tossed in the slammer

in 2011 for recruiting people in Jordan to join the Taliban in Afghanistan as well as "terrorist organizations".

He was also found guilty of collecting funds for "terrorist groups" to commit acts that would harm Jordan and its ties with other countries.

Barqawi was a mentor to Zarqawi before the two fell out.

Zarqawi achieved notoriety for a spate of videotaped executions of Western hostages in Iraq before his death in a US air strike in 2006.

The pair met in 1992 and Zarqawi later joined Barqawi's Sunni myrmidon group Jaish Mohammed (Mohammed's Army).

PA security officers injured in Nablus clashes with gunmen
[MAANNEWS.NET] Three Paleostinian security officers were maimed in armed festivities on Thursday morning between Paleostinian security officers and gunnies in Balata refugee camp east of Nablus in the northern West Bank, security sources said.

The sources said security officers came under fire as they entered the camp, which is the biggest in the West Bank, in an attempt to arrest a number of runaways.

The Paleostinian security described the gunnies who fired at the security officers as "outlaws."

Locals in the camp said several vehicles were damaged as a result of crossfire. They said that gunnies from Balata completely closed the main street near the camp to traffic. Schools were also closed in the camp.

The governor of Nablus, Akram Rajoub, held a meeting in his office with Nablus district representatives of Paleostinian factions, trade unions, sports clubs and dignitaries to discuss the situation. He pointed out that the security crackdown in the district targeted outlaws, drug pushers and gunnies who attack Paleostinian organizations and individuals.

The decision to carry out an intensive security campaign came only after "all quiet and smooth means" have failed to bring the runaways and outlaws to justice. "We won't allow whoever to encroach upon people through thuggery, as it can't be accepted anymore to undermine the dignity of our people," he said.

Rajoub denied claims that the security crackdown was "singling out a certain area."

Activities, he said, are going on everywhere across the governorate. He confirmed that intensive security activities would continue quietly "without negatively affecting people's lives or annoying anyone."

Speaking on behalf of the participants in the meeting, deputy chairman of Nablus chamber of commerce Omar Hashim said that keeping peace and order is a collective responsibility which all social groups and organizations should cooperate to achieve.

Palestinian shot in Hebron after grabbing soldier's gun
[MAANNEWS.NET] Israeli forces shot and injured a Paleostinian man in Hebron on Thursday evening after he attempted to grab a soldier's gun, Israel's army said.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said the man was shot in the lower extremities after trying to grab a soldier's gun near the illegal settlement of Kiryat Arba.

Israeli media said the unidentified man was treated at the scene for moderate injuries and taken to the Shaare Zedek hospital in Jerusalem.

A 1997 agreement split Hebron into areas of Paleostinian and Israeli control.

The Israeli military-controlled H2 zone includes the ancient Old City, home of the revered Ibrahimi Mosque -- also split into a synagogue referred to by Jews as the Cave of the Patriarchs -- and the once thriving Shuhada street, now just shuttered shops fronts and closed homes.
Ynet adds a key detail that Ma'an News failed to note:
A Paleostinian man was shot in his lower limbs on Thursday evening after attempting to grab an IDF soldier's weapon in Hebron while yelling "Allahahu Akbar."

Bomb fails to kill ten policemen in southern Thailand
[Bangkok Post] Ten police officers aboard two trucks narrowly escaped harm when a roadside bomb exploded after one of the vehicles drove passed it in Narathiwat province around noon Thursday. The blast left a crater about a meter wide and more than a meter deep. Police think the bomb targeted the police officers, who had just left a vaccination campaign activity at a nearby school.
This anti-vax nonsense is getting way out of hand.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syria strikes kill 57 after rebel fire on Damascus
[MAANNEWS.NET] At least 57 people were killed Thursday as Syria's regime pounded a rebel stronghold with air strikes after a barrage of opposition fire hit the capital Damascus, a monitor said.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 12 children were among those killed in the opposition-held Eastern Ghouta region outside Damascus, and an AFP photographer there described chaotic scenes.

In the capital, meanwhile, a barrage of at least 120 rockets and mortar rounds fired by rebel forces killed 10 people, among them a child.

The fire left usually busy streets of the city deserted and prompted Damascus University to close for the day, sending students home.

The assault on the capital began early on Thursday and came two days after the leader of rebel group Jaysh al-Islam (Army of Islam) warned it would attack in response to repeated government strikes on rebel-held Douma in Eastern Ghouta.

"Within minutes, our busy street was empty," a resident of Damascus' Baramkeh neighborhood told AFP after the mortar fire began, adding that the head teacher of a local school had been forced to take her students to a shelter.

The middle class district of the capital is home to several university buildings, as well as the headquarters of state news agency SANA.

In the city center, traffic was light and many people stayed home from work.

"If the snuffies think that by shelling Damascus they will ease the pressure on them, they are making a big mistake," a senior military official said, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
"We will continue to hunt them down and destroy them."

Jaysh al-Islam leader Zahran Alloush had warned that Damascus would be considered a "military zone" during the bombardment, which follows a similar attack by the group on January 25 that killed six.

The government's response was swift and deadly, with at least 60 air strikes hitting areas across Eastern Ghouta, along with surface-to-surface missiles, the Observatory said.

AFP photographer Abd Doumany said the assault caused chaos.

"This is the worst day in Douma in four years," he said.

"The situation in the hospitals is very bad. There are shortages of everything."

He said medics had been maimed in the shelling and residents were hiding in basements.

Local field hospitals were overwhelmed by arrivals, some of whom lay on the floor to receive treatment.

On one bed was an infant, his red and white striped sweater lifted up to allow medics to apply a defibrillator to his bloodied chest.

group Death Eaters, along with several vehicles in recent days in Iraq, the army said in a statement on Thursday.

The vehicles were destroyed in an unplanned "opportunistic strike" on Wednesday, the statement on the past week's operations said.

On January 30, during a reconnaissance mission between djinn-infested Mosul

Around 50 were "neutralised", the statement said, without clarifying whether they were killed or injured.

"On the same day and in the same zone, the aircraft struck a position that was firing on Iraqi forces," the statement added.

La Belle France launched Operation Chammal in support of the US-led coalition against IS in September.

It has nine Rafale and six Mirage fighters operating in Iraq from bases in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, along with a maritime patrol and a refuelling aircraft.

murderous Moslems have reportedly executed three Chinese hard boyz after they defected from the terror group operating in Iraq and Syria.

, tried and rubbed out" by the ISIL bandidos bandidos krazed killers in Syria in late September.

The execution came after the Chinese citizen became disillusioned with the terrorist group and decided to return to Turkey.

"Another two Chinese hard boyz had their heads chopped off in late December in Iraq, along with 11 others from six countries," said the Kurdish official, adding that the ISIL bandidos bandidos krazed killers "charged them with treason and accused them of trying to escape."

krazed killer group have kidnapped scores of people in Iraq's conflict-stricken northern province of Salahuddin as the bandidos faceless myrmidons continue to commit crimes in areas under their control, says an Iraqi security source.

The Takfiri Lions of Islam kidnapped 40 citizens in the city of Shirqat, located some 300 kilometers (190 miles) north of the capital, Baghdad, on Wednesday, said the source, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
The fate and whereabouts of the abductees remain unknown, added the source, noting that a number of coppers and local authorities are among those taken hostage.

gunnies have taken hold of large quantities of chlorine gas after they launched an attack against a major water treatment facility in the country's northern province of Nineveh, an Iraqi source says.

The Death Eaters have taken the chemical agent from the provincial water department, and transferred it along with large quantities of mustard gas brought from Syria to one of their hideouts in the area, Iraq's al-Sumaria satellite TV network quoted the source as saying on condition of anonymity.

The ISIL Death Eaters have also overrun an industrial area known as Kokjali located on the eastern side of the conflict-ridden city of djinn-infested Mosul

, and are manufacturing rockets filled with chemical agents to use against Iraqi army forces, the source added.

The source further noted that that ISIL gunnies have tightened access to Kokjali, and threatened to fatally shoot anyone who attempts to come close to the area.
