[KhaamaPress] Mohammad Afzal an army officer and his five-year-old child were mysteriously killed in their home in PD9 of 4th Macroryan in Kabul city.
The incident happened on Saturday night, inside Afzal’s apartment.
According to the reports Afzal worked as Driver for Defense Minister, Asadullah Khalid.
But the ministry has not yet commented on his duty.
Meanwhile, ...back at the Alamo, Davy was counting their remaining cannon balls and not liking the results... a security guard in the building told the media, that Afzal was shot in the head and the police have sealed his apartment.
Afzal was from Kapisa province and the in Block 8 of Macroryan fourth with his wife and two children.
The incident sparked outcry and no official other than police had commented on the murder.
Kabul police say the incident is most likely due to family disputes.
No group or individual so far claimed the responsibility for the murder.
This comes as the security situation across the country turned extremely violent mostly peaceful despite the grinding of the peace processor.
[Garowe] Gunmen on Saturday rubbed out three mothers, among them two expectant women in Mogadishu, in yet another incident that could trigger outcry over the safety of women in the Horn of Africa nation which is struggling with instability.
The incident took place in the volatile Daynile district of Mogadishu, the country's capital early on Sunday morning and it comes at the time Somali leaders in deadlock over the election, which would pave way for a transition, after four years of President Mohammed Abdullahi Farmajo.
Police said two other women were critically injured during the shooting whose motive is yet to be established. The injured women are recuperating in a Mogadishu hospital, police said, adding that a manhunt for the snuffies has been activated in the capital.
Deynile deputy security commissioner Abdikadir Ali Fara'adde identified the victims as Fartun Hassan and Muno Hassan who were sisters and the third was Fadumo Sheikh Nur.
The women were heading to the Ministry of Defense where they worked as cleaners. For a decade, al-Shabaab ...... the personification of Somali state failure... snuffies have been targeting security forces, senior government officials, and even innocent civilians in their quest to overthrow the fragile UN-backed Somalia administration.
It's highly suspected that the snuffies killed the three women to provoke authorities since they worked at the Department of Defense in the capital. Their place of work is highly secured because it also plays host to the Chief of Defense Forces General Yusuf Rageh Odowaa.
But until now, the Ministry of Defense, whose members are often targeted by al-Shabaab, is yet to issue a correspondence over the latest tragedy. The snuffies besides killing women and kiddies, also rape others and often hold some hostage for ransom.
Al-Shabaab has been fighting since 2007 with an aim of imposing the strict sharia law on residents of Somalia besides seeking to have Arab recognized as the national language.
The al-Qaeda-linked Somalia-based snuffies have, however, lost grip of their former strongholds in the Lower Shabelle and Middle Jubba regions.

[OneIndia] The Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... police on Sunday thwarted a major tragedy with the timely detection of a seven-kg Improvised Explosive Device (IED) near the crowded general bus stand area in Jammu city.
The incident comes exactly two years after a terror attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in south Kashmir's Pulwama killed 40 security personnel.
Addresing a presser, Jammu Inspector General of Police (IG) Mukesh Singh said "We were on high alert as we had inputs that terror groups were planning an attack on the anniversary of Pulwama attack. Last night we arrested a person named Sohail and recovered 6-6.5 to 7 kgs of IED from his possession."
"Sohail revealed during probe that he studies in Chandigarh and he received message from Pakistain's Al Badr Tanzeem
...one of the many jihadi groups in Kashmir, it was separated from Hizb-ul-Mujahideen in 1998 by the ISI for what no doubt seemed good reasons at the time. Previously that decade it had fought alongside Gulbuddin Hekmatyar's Hizb-l-Islami in Afghanistan. It’s a member of the United Jihad Council, a confederation of Kashmiri jihadi groups, and is associated with Al Qaeda and Jamaat-e-Islami. Al Badr has been on US State Dept terror lists since 2005... unless Tanzeem means they’re an offshoot or another group altogether, in which case please ignore all of the above...
to plant IED here," he said.
"Sohail was given three-four target locations to place the IED, after which he was supposed to take a flight to Srinagar where an Over Ground Worker of Al Badr Tanzeem named Athar Shakeel Khan would have received him," he added.
Further elaborating on the attack, the cop said "a person named Qazi Waseem in Chandigarh was also aware of this matter, he has been held. We have also arrested a person named Abid Nabi."
We say tanzeem because it's one of the organizations of the Pakistani state. The Badr was created by the ISI; an assortment of ex-special forces players training and leading squadrons of jihadists. Al Badr is known to be independent of the HuM since '98, and has been leaning more towards the AQ since 2003. In fact 'Al Badr' was the name of one of Bin Laden's specialist staging camps, blown up in airstrikes, and later given to the Harkat ul Mujhadeddin. It was also one of the splinters of the mujaheddins who fought Russia under Cyclone.
Headquartered currently in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,it has a camp office in Muzaffarabad, and runs several cells in Kashmir. Several ex-military and better trained specimens are encouraged to join Al Badr. Many dismissed or washed out personnel from the Pak army find themselves training these guys, sourcing their ammo, explosives, gear etc. It's only aim is to first 'liberate' Kashmir and have it cede to Pak under islamic pressure. For this reason, they see themselves as the special infantry of the jamaats; enforcing sharia by burning women, cutting off noses, shooting people dead for calling themselves Indian, etc.
Because we're killing any intruders and have no intention of arresting them anymore for that elusive 'information', or a public trial at the useless UN, less and less Pakistanis can be sent in. But Paki tanzeems like this can still recruit in-country, untrained idiots and weaponize them.
[OneIndia] Following the arrest of a top terrorist who had made a video of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval's office, it has come to light that Pakistain-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad ...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf banned the group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat... is planning a strike in Delhi, J&K police chief Dilbag Singh said.
Bihar is the go to destination for the common thug for hand assembled weapons, TW. It's been a Leftist state controlled by the nastiest criminal clans since independence, and even now the administration is too weak to enforce much. A mass culling would be required there, in order to make it less criminal in fact.
The gun laws in India, the price of hardware, import duties on foreign weapons is such that not all can afford anything much beyond a little wood handled pipe with a 303 cartridge in it, if not a bow and a single arrow. This is what you commonly buy in Bihar.
Of late, the ISI has been flooding the east with Chinese AKs and SLRs through Nepal, wich is why the tangos are shopping there. Denied.

[NRTtv] SULAIMANI — Iraqi security forces have arrested four individuals in the southern city of Basra suspected of killing anti-government protesters and vocal journalists, two senior security officials told AFP on Sunday (February 14).
They’re going after the Iranian sockpuppets? I’m shocked.
The arrests would represent the first major step towards justice for some of the nearly 600 Iraqis killed in protest-related violence, including assassinations, since 2019.
"Intelligence forces arrested four suspected members of a 16-person network responsible for the assassinations in Basra targeting activists," one of the sources said.
The source said Iraqi intelligence was still working to identify the remaining members of the network and would not comment on whether the accused were linked to any political party or paramilitary force.
"They confessed to their crimes, including the killing of Iraqi journalist Ahmad Abdessamad, and a number of other activists," the official said.
Abdessamad, 37, was killed in January 2020 alongside his cameraman Safaa Ghali, 26, in their hometown of Basra.

[IsraelTimes] Syrian state media says air defenses ’confronting the Israeli aggression;’ no comment from IDF.
Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s targeted a number of sites in southern Syria after midnight Sunday, the country’s state media reported, in the latest in a series of attacks attributed to the Jewish state.
The state-run SANA news agency reported that explosions were heard to the west of Damascus and that Syrian air defenses were "confronting the Israeli aggression."
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties or details on the targets.
The Israel Defense Forces refused to comment on the late-night strikes, in accordance with its policy to neither confirm nor deny its operations in Syria, save for those launched in retaliation for an attack from Israel’s northern neighbor.
The IDF has launched hundreds of strikes in Syria since the start of the civil war in 2011 against moves by Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... to establish a permanent military presence in the country and efforts to transport advanced, game-changing weapons to terrorist groups in the region, principally Hezbollah.
The reported attacks came 10 days after Israel was accused of hitting targets on the Syrian Golan Heights and at the Damascus International Airport.
