I'm looking for some that aren't routine, but that are readable.
I went with the Walter Turncoat because it's a mechanical drawing kind of font, which is supposed to be real readable...
I know there are more readable fonts out there, but I do need something to distinguish the computer-generated babble from actual comments that I've thought out.
I was thinking the 'Alex Brush' font would be appropriate for TW's comments, but you can't really read it until it's 18 point...
...and maybe something a little more Western for Sherry...
...and maybe something managerial for lotp, in blue or blue-black ink...
But I do need something that won't distract from the comment's content...
Maybe I should try increasing Walter's font size to 14 point?

KABUL (Reuters) - A man Afghan officials say is a member of the Taliban shot dead a woman accused of adultery in front of a crowd near Kabul, a video obtained by Reuters showed, a sign that the austere Islamist group dictates law even near the Afghan capital.
Business as usual for the Talibs...
In the three-minute video, a turban-clad man approaches a woman kneeling in the dirt and shoots her five times at close range with an automatic rifle, to cheers of jubilation from the 150 or so men watching in a village in Parwan province.
"Allah warns us not to get close to adultery because it's the wrong way," another man says as the shooter gets closer to the woman. "It is the order of Allah that she be executed".
What happened to the man with whom she consorted? What did Allah say to do to him? Ah, right...
Provincial Governor Basir Salangi said the video, obtained on Saturday, was shot a week ago in the village of Qimchok in Shinwari district, about an hour's drive from Kabul.
Such rare public punishment was a painful reminder to Afghan authorities of the Taliban's 1996-2001 period in power, and it raised concern about the treatment of Afghan women 11 years into the NATO-led war against Taliban insurgents.
"When I saw this video, I closed my eyes ... The woman was not guilty; the Taliban are guilty," Salangi told Reuters.
When the unnamed woman, most of her body tightly wrapped in a shawl, fell sideways after being shot several times in the head, the spectators chanted: "Long live the Afghan mujahideen! (Islamist fighters)", a name the Taliban use for themselves.
The Taliban could not be reached for comment.

Afghan women have won back basic rights in education, voting and work since the Taliban, who deemed them un-Islamic for women, were toppled by U.S.-backed Afghan forces in late 2001. But fears are rising among Afghan women, some lawmakers and rights activists that such freedoms could be traded away as the Afghan government and the United States pursue talks with the Taliban to secure a peaceful end to the war.

Violence against women has increased sharply in the past year, according to Afghanistan's independent human rights commission. Activists say there is waning interest in women's rights on the part of President Hamid Karzai's government.

"This is happening under a government that claims to have made so much progress in women's rights, claims to have changed women's lives, and this is unacceptable. It is a huge step backwards," said Koofi, a campaigner for girls' education who wants to run in the 2014 presidential election.
Salangi said two Taliban commanders were sexually involved with the woman in Parwan, either through rape or romantically, and decided to torture her and then kill her to settle a dispute between the two of them.
This answers the earlier question, what happened to the men involved...
"They are outlaws, murderers, and like savages they killed the woman," he said, adding that the Taliban exerted considerable sway in his province.

This tactic does reduce the opportunities for future adultury. And once they shoot ALL the women they'll have to consort with each other. The problem will end. Tough on the poor women though.

Vortigen, of course it's our fault. If we hadn't invaded Afghanistan and more or less kicked the Taliban out, this sort of thing would be so common it wouldn't be worth reporting.

(Sh. M. Network) Heavy fighting ... as opposed to the more usual name-calling or slapsy... in the Somalias southern region of Bakol between the Islamist forces of Evil and government forces backed by Æthiopian troops killed scores of people over the last 24-hours, residents and officials said.
The latest shootout broke out around 7:00 pm local time in different locations in the near Hudur town, where the fighters of Al-Shabaab ... the personification of Somali state failure... launched ambush attacks on a convoy of the allied forces [Somalia and Æthiopia], traveling from El Berde to Hudur town in Bakol region, killing at least Eleven combatants.
The sound of the artillery weapons could be heard and rocked the battle zones and mounted concern on the local civilians. Hudur is located 420 kilometers (260 miles) southwest of Mogadishu,Somalia capital.
Speaking with Shabelle Media, Mohamed Abdi-Tall, the governor of Bakol region for Somali government, claimed victory over the attack, saying they have killed at least 11 Orcs and similar vermin following the offensive.
A resident said the fighting was over but sporadic gunfire could be heard.
It could not be independently verify the exact casualty on the rival sides as tense of Fighting persist around Hudur town controlled by Somali government forces and Æthiopian troops.
Al shabab Orcs and similar vermin have yet to comment on tonights attacks on the convoy of the allied troops and the claims made by Bakol governor Mohamed Abdi-Tall.

(Sh. M. Network)-Somalia national army (SNA) and the African Union forces patrolled the streets and villages located near Balad town, arresting more than 10 alleged Al shabab elements, local residents reported on Friday.
According to witnesses the joint search operations continued all over last night and until Friday morning and arrested 10 youths in connection with Al shabab militants at locations close to Balad, agricultural areas sit some 30 kilometers northeast of Mogadishu.
Osman Mohamed, the district commissioner of Balad for Somalia government, confirmed to Shabelle Media the operations carried out by TFG and AMISOM forces in the region, adding that they arrested 10 alleged Al shabab members whom he accused of committing insecurity acts.
Somali national army backing by African Union forces in Somalia has pushed Al-Shabab militants out of the outskirts of Mogadishu, seizing several key areas, including Afgoye corridor for the past few months.

[An Nahar] Sudanese police on Friday "attacked" with tear gas and rubber bullets as demonstrators gathered at mosques for weekly anti-regime protests sparked by inflation, a rights group said.
"Still large numbers of police forces are surrounding the central mosques," said an official of the Organization for Defense of Rights and Freedoms, representing political, media, trade union and other activists promoting human rights. ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... "It seems rubber bullets and tear gas were used," he said, adding that information was still preliminary.
One of the mosques targeted was that of the opposition Umma party in Khartoum's twin city of Omdurman, said the official, asking not to be named.
Video images showed dozens of people marching outside the party's Wad Nubawi mosque, chanting and calling for the regime's overthrow. Some held signs.
"We got out to the square peacefully," and then police responded, one demonstrator said.
Video showed police on pickup trucks firing tear gas, sending the crowd scattering.
Wad Nubawi was also a focus of demonstrators a week earlier, when hundreds who gathered were also confronted with tear gas and rubber bullets, witnesses said at the time.
Umma party officials could not immediately comment.
The official with the rights group said there had been arrests.

The Military Committee formed under the GCC-power has identified saboteurs of oil pipelines, affirming that they included military officers and a son of the former governor of Marib, Jubran Ali Al-Zaidi.
In a meeting held on Wednesday, the Military Committee discussed how to maintain security and safety and put and end to bombings of oil pipelines in Marib and Sana'a.
It spelt out efforts exerted in the hunt of saboteurs of oil pipelines, singling out that the sabotage acts against oil and gas pipelines largely damage Yemen's economy. It said it had confirmed information about the identities of the saboteurs, directing the security and military services to pursue them, arrest them and refer them to the justice system. They further demanded the concerned authorities to take the needed measures to freeze the companies and other assets of the saboteurs whether they are in Sana'a or other governorates.
The committee strongly denounced the sabotage acts that target the state and private institutions, in particular oil and gas pipeline, and electricity towers, asserting that it will not tolerate in the pursuit of criminals.
Furthermore, it reviewed what was achieved in opening blocked roads in a number of governorates, indicating that it will follow up commitments to pledges of all political sides.
The Marib pipeline, which carries crude from Marib and Shabwa to the Ras Isa terminal, was repeatedly attacked last year and this year, and negotiations and mediations to stop attacking it have failed several times.
Local officials have said the repairs of Marib pipelines are expected to be completed this week.

[Yemen Post] Two soldiers and a child were maimed in Taiz on Thursday as festivities suddenly broke out between security forces and gunnies, medic sources said.
Media sources affirmed that the festivities erupted between forces of the Military Committee and primitive affiliated to a tribal sheikh, Hamoud Al-Mikhlafi, but sources close to Al-Mikhalafi denied these reports, asserting that forces of the Republican Guard attacked some neighborhoods in Taiz.
The sources affirmed that the 33 Republican Guard Brigade launched strikes against Al-Rawdha neighborhood, singling out that a number of streets were blocked in Al-Rawdah neighborhood in which the residency of al-Mikhalfi is based.
Taiz has been a source of pro-democracy uprising that ended Saleh's 33-year rule. Security forces often responded with deadly force.

The sources affirmed that Iran intends to invest $10 million in health and education projects that will be run by Yemeni politicians who have good relations with Tehran.

Police insist that the 13 arrests in recent days did not involve threats to the Olympics set to begin in three weeks, "No, no! Certainly not! Mere coincidence, we assure you!"
but the counter-terror sweeps - and a false alarm Thursday that involved a bus filled with passengers - have raised anxiety in the run-up to the games. Settling oneself in among several thousand paying customers -- the rabble can't afford tickets to Olympic events -- and then detonating is the essence of modern Islam...

Police on Friday said there was nothing to suggest that the newly announced arrests were linked to the London raids a day earlier. I already said that I thought that reasonable precautions by the police were more than appropriate. But it's nearly impossible to stop all crime in London, and you're not making the place safer if you disarm civilians from carrying things that might offer sensible defense.

Mixed groups of Mexican federal security forces including Mexican Army units have begun to redeploy to Choix municipality in Sinaloa following reports of a large number of shootings, according to various Mexican news accounts.
A Saturday afternoon news item posted on the website of El Diario de Coahuila news daily, quoted an El Universal news story saying four more dead were found Saturday in Choix municipality near the village of Lorito. The unidentified victims were killed three days before. The find was made from an anonymous telephone call.
In a news report on the website of El Siglo de Durango news daily, several recent incidents have forced security forces to re-enter an area that only a few weeks ago was the location one of the most violent large scale intergang fighting since the summer of 2010.
According to a news item on the website of Azteca Noticias news daily, gunfights have taken place in Culican municipality and in Choix in recent days with at least one dead and three wounded. The Choix gunfight took place last Tuesday afternoon, lasting five minutes. A number of wounded were taken to a local medical clinic.
Periodico Expreso news daily reported on their website Thursday that two died in Choix and three were wounded.
Choix municipality was the location last May where several armed operatives from the Beltran-Leyva cartel, Juarez Cartel and Los Zetas had combined to fight operatives from the Sinaloa cartel. The fighting in the area began last April 28th and lasted several days. It spread to other municipalities including Guasave and Culican totalling, by this writer's count, 56 dead. Eventually Mexican Army and Naval Infantry units totalling 600 effectives filtered into Choix municipality attempting to cordon the western approaches to the area.
Unconfirmed news reports at the time said a number of cartel operatives had escaped the cordon to the east into Chihuahua state and passed Mexican Army road patrols.
Russian authorities say that roughly 200 terrorists militants in the Caucasus were killed in the first half of 2012.
Sergei Chenchik, head of the Main Directorate of the Interior Ministry in the North Caucasian Federal District, reported that 1,200 operations since January have resulted in 194 terrorists militants, including 25 leaders, killed, compared with 209 in 2011, while 104 police officers were killed in the counterinsurgency operations.
According to Chenchik, 235 Caucasian terrorists militants were arrested and eight surrendered. Of the 160 civilians attacked by terrorists militants, 32 were killed, while in 2011, 102 were attacked.
Last month Andrei Przhezdomskii, an adviser to the head of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee, said the Russian Federation's battle with terrorism in the North Caucasus was succeeding.
It is a place where a great many North Koreans choose to defect, running the risk of being caught, repatriated, and executed.

On December 31st, 3 men crossing the river in Hyesan, Yanggang province were executed by firing squad and a couple in their 40s attempting defection in Hoiryoung, Hamkyung Buk-do were executed as well. Clearly, there are unspeakable atrocities happening as the noose is tightened around the Chinese/North Korean border.
Following the 100th anniversary of the Sun day, which celebrates the birth of Kim Il Sung, the authorities transferred border control from the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces to the National Security Agency.
The transfer seems to be due to the continual leaking of information of sensitive issues, even after the death of Kim Jong Il. Previously, the PAF and NSA operated with co-responsibility. The PAF was charged with monitoring the border while the NSA undertook the tasks of tracking, arresting, and repatriating defectors. Now, however, all activities have been given over to the NSA.

[Dawn] Five people, including an activist of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi, were bumped off in different parts of the city on Thursday, said police.
MQM worker Mohammad Farooq, 30, aka Kana was killed in a drive-by shooting a few streets from the Landhi residence of the party chairman, said a police brass hat.
The victim was taken to a nearby private hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He's dead, Jim! on arrival, said an official at the Awami Colony cop shoppe.
He added that the body was then shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a post-mortem examination. He said the victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
"The victim had recently relocated from Sherpao Colony to his old home in Landhi No 6," said SP Shah Faisal Latif Siddiqui.
He added that the shooting was carried out a few streets from the Landhi residence of MQM-H chief Afaq Ahmad.
Following the murder, tension gripped the locality amid intermittent firing.
MQM front man Khalid Naqashbandi said that Farooq was an activist of unit 80 of the party's organizational structure. He condemned the incident, terming it a assassination on political grounds.
Man killed in Garden
Earlier in the morning, a young man was killed on Ghulam Husain Qasim Road in a Garden locality, said police.
Nasir, 26, aka Munna was bumped off outside his apartment building near Yaseen Manzil Ramswami by gunnies riding a cycle of violence, said a duty officer of the Garden cop shoppe.
The victim was rushed to the Civil Hospital Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It may be the largest city in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... , where he was pronounced dead. The police said that the young man was not associated with any political party. They claimed that an investigation was under way to find out a motive for the killing.
Till Thursday evening, nobody had turned up at the Garden cop shoppe to lodge the case.
Cable operator bumped off
A young man associated with a cable networking system was bumped off in New Bloody Karachi, said police.
They added that Amir Khan, 30, was rubbed out near Haroon Apartments in Sector 5C-2 of New Bloody Karachi.
"The victim was shot at thrice with a 9mm pistol," said SP Gulberg Tanveer Alam Odho. He added that the police collected three spent bullet casings found at the scene of the crime
The SP said that some business-related rivalry was suspected as a motive for the killing, though an investigation was under way to take into account other factors as well.
The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Father, son rubbed out
In Machhar Colony, a father and his son were killed and two others maimed late Thursday night, said police.
The officials added that Siraj Noor, 30, was sitting outside his house where gunnies riding a motorbike fired at him. As they were about to flee, they spotted the victim's father, Haji Noor, 55, returning home. They opened fire on him and escaped. In the firing, two passers-by were also hit by bullets.
The victims were rushed to the Civil Hospital Bloody Karachi where Siraj Noor and his father were pronounced dead, while the two passers-by, Khalid and Sohail, were admitted for treatment.
SSP District West Amir Farooqui said that police suspected involvement of Lyari ...one of the eighteen constituent towns of the city of Karachi. It is the smallest town by area in the city but also the most densely populated. Lyari has few schools, substandard hospitals, a poor water system, limited infrastructure, and broken roads. It is a stronghold of ruling Pakistan Peoples Party. Ubiquitous gang activity and a thriving narcotics industry make Lyari one of the most disturbed places in Karachi, which is really saying a lot.... gangsters in the incident.

Earlier, a young man associated with the fisheries business was rubbed out near Saddam Chowk in Machhar Colony.
The police said that Moinuddin, 30, was killed over personal enmity and claimed to have tossed in the clink Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! the killers. "We have tossed in the clink Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! two suspects said to be involved in the firing," said SSP Farooqui.

[Dawn] Unidentified armed persons rubbed out a thug commander along with his aide in Kalosha village of South Wazoo Agency in the small hours of Thursday.
Sources said that Wali Mohammad, brother of Taliban capo Nek Mohammad, along with his aide was asleep in the apple farm of his uncle when two armed persons sneaked into the orchard and opened firing on them. Wali Mohammad and his friend, whose name couldn't be ascertained, were killed on the spot, they added.
Wali Mohammad and few other thug commanders including Omar, Abbas and Ghulam Khan had been expelled from Wana, the agency headquarters of South Waziristan, along with foreign forces of Evil about five years ago.
However, alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk... they returned to Wana about one year ago after making reconciliation with thug commanders of Maulvi Nazir group.

Pakistani officials say a U.S. drone strike has killed at least 19 suspected militants in the country's northwest. Friday's strike took place near Miran Shah, the main town in the North Waziristan tribal region -- a known hub of Taliban and al-Qaida-linked militants.
Officials said foreigners were among those killed when missiles hit a compound in the area. It was one of deadliest suspected U.S. strikes and the first such attack since Pakistan re-opened NATO supply lines into Afghanistan following a seven-month shutdown.
Those foreigners wouldn't happen to speak Arabic, would they?
At least 18 passengers in a convoy of vans have been killed by unknown gunmen in southwestern Pakistan. Eyewitnesses report that an Iran-bound buss, which began its journey from Karachi, was attacked in Khadan area of Turbat.
Eyewitnesses said the gunmen, who were lying in wait, opened fire at the vehicle as it came in the firing range and kept shooting until their automatic weapons were depleted of ammunition. They then made their escape on motorcycles. The attack occurred when the bus stopped at a roadside shop in the Kech area of Baluchistan province, the police said. They said six gunmen were involved.
The dead and the injured were being taken to the Civil Hospital.

Elsewhere, festivities broke out in Damascus and its province, the Observatory said, adding that demonstrators erupted into the streets of several areas of the capital.

In Damascus province, troops rained shells on the central town of Daraya, killing at least one civilian. Amateur video on YouTube showed medical volunteers trying in vain to treat one bloodied person there.
In the village of Nawa in the southern province of Daraa, cradle of the nearly 16-month uprising, shelling killed at least five people overnight, the Observatory said, adding that another six unidentified bodies were found there.
"Regime troops shot and shelled the civilian population here, and killed and injured many people," activists in Nawa told Agence La Belle France Presse, adding that the shelling followed a rebel Free Syrian Army attack on a military building.
Louay Rushdan of grassroots activists' network the Local Coordination Committees told AFP that the shelling in Nawa killed and maimed a large number of people, and that activists "found bodies that were completely burned. Other bodies were buried under the rubble."
Of 95 people killed on Thursday, 68 were civilians, 24 were soldiers and three were rebels, the watchdog added.

[An Nahar] Advanced technology that has never before been used was employed in the liquidation attempt against MP Butros Harb, reported al-Joumhouria newspaper on Friday.
A security source told the newspaper that the explosive that was removed from the elevator shaft could have been placed in a manner that made it difficult to detect.
Police found the device in the elevator shaft of the building that lies in Badaro district's Sami Solh Street a few hours after the suspect carrying a knife was subdued but managed to escape along with two accomplices.
The criminals were discovered before they could completely arm the device, which needed exact calculations in order to determine how much explosives were needed in order to kill the person in the elevator.
Sources revealed to As Safir newspaper on Friday that the device was being prepared in a manner to make it seem that the victim would have been killed by electrical wire friction or possibly a malfunction in the elevator.
"The investigations in the case are complicated and they will take time," they emphasized.
In addition, they stressed the importance of obtaining fingerprints at the scene.
Other security sources revealed that residents in the area succeeded in identifying one of the perpetrators. Resident in the area better be careful starting their cars. And stay out of elevators...
Asked if the criminals had headed to Beirut's southern suburbs, ... also known as Hezbollah country...
the sources replied: "The footage obtained by surveillance cameras will reveal the criminals' exact destination." The perps will, of course, "disappear," nobody knows where. Identification of them as Hezbullies will be "rejected," and denounced as a Zionist-American plot...
They said that the cameras monitor "every inch" of the road leading to the building.
Sources close to Harb told As Safir that the MP had received warnings that he may be the target of an liquidation attempt, saying that he has since limited his mobility and changed his work routine.
The pan-Arab daily al-Hayat reported on Friday that the case has been referred to the Internal Security Forces' Intelligence Bureau, adding that ISF chief Ashraf Rifi had inspected the scene of the crime.
Harb escaped the booby-trapped elevator when three people had claimed they were going to the building's roof to fix an internet problem when a security guard and a doctor, who has a clinic in the building, felt suspicious and called security agencies to arrest them. Two of them escaped but the third clashed with the two witnesses, injuring them, the MP said.

The divided Security Council must make a decision on the future of the 300 unarmed military observers and more than 120 civilian staff in Syria by July 20.

[An Nahar] President Michel Suleiman ...before assuming office as President, he held the position of commander of the Leb Armed Forces. That was after the previous commander, the loathesome Emile Lahoud, took office as president in November of 1998. Likely the next president of Leb will be whoever's commander of the armed forces, too... slammed on Friday the liquidation attempt against MP Butros Harb, condemning the return of "such incidents that only serve to create instability in Leb." Harb is a member of the March 14th movement and has called for Hezbollah's arms to be controlled by the government. He was also prominent in the Cedar Revolution. My guess would be that Iran ordered him rubbed out and that the attempted murderers were Hezbullies. I'm also guessing the investigation will be quietly dropped, just like the Geagea assassination attempt.
