[GEO.TV] Israel launched powerful Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s in Damascus on Wednesday, blowing up part of the defence ministry and hitting near the presidential palace as it vowed to destroy government forces attacking Druze in southern Syria and demanded they withdraw.
The attacks marked a significant Israeli escalation against the administration of interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa and came despite his warming ties with the United States and his administration's evolving security contacts with Israel.
Describing Syria's new rulers as barely disguised bully boys, Israel has said it won't let them move forces into southern Syria and vowed to shield the area's Druze community from attack, encouraged by calls from Israel's own Druze minority.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio ...The diminutive 13-year-old Republican U.S. Senator from Florida, Secretary of State in the second Trump administration... described the situation as "complicated" but said it looked like a "misunderstanding". [DAILYMAIL.CO.UK] Los Angeles is now so rough tech companies are buying dummies to use as fake homeless people while testing their new delivery robots.
The wheeled devices have been filmed maneuvering past mannequins sprawled on the City of Angels' grimy sidewalks while being tested by food delivery firm Serve Robotics.
In the latest footage, a stunned witness shared a clip of the device after catching Serve Robotics engineers testing their device on the sidewalk.
But the witness quickly realized the dummies were a good idea - because in real life the little robots will regularly have to maneuver LA's thousands of vagrants.
'My mind went straight to, yeah they better learn how to dodge all that,' he said.
'It's more important to be safe and go around and dodge lawsuits.'
The footage circulated across social media as people were left in awe at what passes for normal in LA in 2025.
[NAHARNET] Lawmakers convened Wednesday for the second day in Parliament to debate the government's policies. During the session, MPs mainly discussed Hezbollah's arms and Israeli violations and renewed confidence in the Lebanese government.
The no-confidence vote was proposed by Free Patriotic chief Jebran Bassil. Sixty-nine MPs gave a vote of confidence to the government, nine FPM MPs voted against it, and four MPs abstained.
Many MPs on Tuesday and Wednesday called for Hezbollah's disarmament while Hezbollah MP Ibrahim al-Moussawi said "We all know that the army is not allowed to have defensive weapons to protect the country against the enemy."
- AMAL MP SAYS GOV. NOT DOING ENOUGH TO PROTECT LEBANESE -
Amal MP Ali Hassan Khalil and Hezbollah MP Hussein Hajj Hassan criticized the government for not doing enough to prevent the Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement reached in late November.
"We haven't felt that the government is working responsibly and seriously to prevent the collapse of the ceasefire agreement," Khalil said, adding that "the open discussion about arms must continue, but responsibly" and that the government must also discuss the reconstruction of war-hit regions.
Khalil said in Hezbollah's defense that "the resistance was never an independent project but rather a reaction that emerged when the national defense system failed to protect illusory illusory sovereignty, especially in the south."

MP Fouad Makhzoumi called for Hezbollah's disarmament and proposed to discuss it in a cabinet session and independent MP Neemat Frem said Hezbollah's arms must not be destroyed or given to Israel, but handed over to the Lebanese army.
- US INTERVENTION -
Hajj Hassan for his part accused the U.S. of intervening in Lebanese affairs. He said that some Lebanese parties are serving the American and Israeli narratives and failing to see the Israeli threats.
MP Oussama Saad also said the American mediators are biased to Israel and pressuring Leb
. "We will not argue about the handover of weapons to the state," but "the Israeli occupation cannot be ignored."
On Tuesday, MP Jamil al-Sayyed criticized U.S. envoys Amos Hochstein, Morgan Ortagus, and Tom Barrack, who he said "threatened Leb ...home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade.... with civil war". "It's as if we've become an experimental field for these envoys."

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam denied any foreign dictations and vowed to continue working on extending the state's authority north and south of the Litani River and to pressure Israel to withdraw from Lebanese territories and stop its aggressions.
[FOXNEWS] The CEO of an advocacy group said his organization turned down an offer that he said would have been worth around $20 million to help recruit for a national rally against President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... .
"Interests aligned with the organizers of the July 17th movement have approached us and, in fact, we rejected an offer that probably is worth around $20 million dollars," Adam Swart, the CEO and founder of Crowds on Demand, told NewsNation's Brian Entin in an interview that aired on Tuesday.
On Thursday, protests around the country are being planned against Trump, spearheaded by Good Trouble Lives On, a group that calls itself a peaceful and nonviolent mostly peaceful protest and social change organization. They are planning to oppose Trump and what they call on their website "the most brazen rollback of civil rights in generations."
The protests planned for Thursday also take place on the fifth anniversary of the death of former Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., a civil rights leader who routinely referred to protests as "good trouble."
Swart said Crowds on Demand — a company based in California that specializes in providing on-demand crowds for protests — rejected the offer because they didn’t think protests like the ones Good Trouble Lives On is hosting on Thursday would be effective.
"I mean this is a nationwide thing, right? It’s not to say I would have made 20 million dollars personally, but the value of the contract would have been worth around that amount nationwide to organize huge demonstrations around the country," Swart said.
"But personally, I just don’t think it’s effective," he added. "So it’s not, I’m not trying to call myself virtuous for rejecting it. What I’m saying is, I’m saying I’m rejecting it, not because I don’t want to take the business, but because, frankly, this is going to be ineffective. It’s going to make us all look bad."
"President Trump’s America is so successful that blue-haired basement dwellers are paid to stage fake protests against the administration’s remarkable achievements," Harrison Fields, special assistant to the President and principal deputy press secretary, said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "Paid agitators should find real jobs instead of selling out for gift cards and meager paychecks that aim to divide the nation and obstruct America’s greatest comeback. Nothing screams a party in disarray more than one that clearly lacks organic support and is forced to astroturf everything."
Left-wing riots in Los Angeles resulting in violence, including the burning of the American flag and the assault of law enforcement officers, as well as the "No Kings Day" protests across the country, have recently made headlines.
Jill Biden's 'Work Husband' Pleads the Fifth in Probe of Former President's Mental Fitness, Joining Ex-White House Physicianhttps://t.co/TITfvpfINw
— Washington Free Beacon (@FreeBeacon) July 16, 2025
Anthony Bernal refused to answer when asked ‘Was Joe Biden fit to exercise the duties of the president?’
Bernal’s refusal to testify solidifies a pattern in the GOP probe: The former president’s White House doctor, Kevin O’Connor, also invoked his Fifth Amendment right as well as physician-patient privilege during a closed-door July 9 interview.
O’Connor gave Biden clean bills of health throughout his term, calling him "a healthy, vigorous, 78-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the president" in November 2021. Four months before Biden’s debate with Trump, O’Connor declared the then-president "fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency," even though he had not administered "a cognitive test because he 'did not believe the science required him to,'" according to Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson's book Original Sin.
Bernal and O’Connor’s refusal to testify follows numerous reports that have shed light on Biden’s mental and physical decline.
[ALPHANEWS.ORG] "Since Minnesota became the first state to offer Medicaid coverage for Housing Stabilization Services, dozens of new companies have been created and enrolled in the program. These companies, and the individuals who run them, have taken advantage of the housing crisis and the drug addiction crisis in Minnesota to prey on individuals who need help getting back on their feet as they recover from drug addiction," the warrant says.
"These companies and individuals do so by contacting Medicaid-eligible people in halfway houses and residential drug treatment facilities and offering to help them find stable housing. After registering these people to receive housing stabilization services, the companies fraudulently claim to provide dozens of Program service hours to their new ’clients.’ In reality, client after client has reported that they received little or no actual services or assistance from these companies. But the companies engaged in this scheme have received millions of dollars in Medicaid funds for housing stabilization services they did not actually provide," it continues. The search warrant was executed at several businesses Wednesday morning, including one in the Griggs Midway Building: Brilliant Minds Services LLC, located in Suite 120.
Records indicate that Brilliant Minds Services is owned by Khalid Dayib and Mustafa Ali. Before April 2025, it was owned by Dayib, Ali, and a third partner, Moktar Hassan Aden.
Records also indicate that Brilliant Minds received more than $2.2 million in funds for providing HHS services between September 2022 and April 2025—claiming to have provided services to 340 individuals, the warrant says.
That’s a healthy chunk of money to divide three ways. Did it all go for personal expenses, or did some of it flow in more interesting directions, whether political or jihad? Inquiring minds want to follow the money.
Yet, at least more than a dozen times, Brilliant Minds Services and another organization, Leo Human Services, received HSS payments on the same date—for the same recipient, according to the warrant.
The investigation into the billing and payments of these two providers indicated that ''such billing was duplicative and not allowable,'' the warrant says.
The investigation also revealed that people who supposedly received services from Brilliant Minds actually never did and had little interaction with them, according to the warrant.
In one case that was detailed in the warrant, Brilliant Minds ''fraudulently received about $2,000'' for services they claimed to provide to one individual. That individual said that ''she never received any HSS services from Brilliant''—except for ''one occasion when a person named Mohammed Mohammed'' came to her residence ''to drop off a vacuum.''
TODAY is the day: California senate has passed SB549 granting LA county authority to purchase fire destroyed lots for minimal cost
Today that bill is being heard in the local assembly, if passed The Pacific Palisades will be re-zoned and stolen by Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass… pic.twitter.com/8yTt3yrxwG
“If this passes, a lot of land grab can actually happen. This bill creates a resilient Rebuilding authority or RRA which is unelected board and it's run by a state picked administrator.
So that means that us locals are not going to be able to vote for whoever runs this. It will be picked by the state government. This RRA authority can actually buy burned lots at fair value. It can hold them and resell them in the future or can also swap them into local projects. Now if they decide to swap those into public projects, 40% of those have to be for low income housing.
Now if this passes, the RRA then can completely change the zoning for the Pacific Palisades. So that means that the single family streets can now turn into low income high density apartments in Pacific Palisades. So I'm afraid to say that I don't think if this passes, Pacific Palisades will never be the same. Now what do you guys think?”
…U.S. attorney in the Southern District of New York. Her father used that position as a springboard to greater things, but it looks like dear Maurene will not have the same opportunities despite her resumé…
the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, was fired Wednesday from the powerful Manhattan US Attorney’s Office — where she prosecuted Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, sources told The Post.
The reason for Comey’s firing, which law enforcement and Department of Justice sources confirmed, was not immediately clear.
According to the US Constitution, the president is the chief executive officer, which means he can hire and fire — with or without cause.
President Trump has a long history of conflicts with the elder Comey and fired him as FBI director in 2017 during his first term.
Maurene Comey, who served as an assistant US attorney in the Southern District of New York since 2015, worked on the prosecutions of the disgraced financier pedophile Epstein and Maxwell, who was found guilty of multiple sex crimes at trial and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The nearly month-long trial ended in a jury acquitting the disgraced hip-hop mogul of the most serious charges against him — racketeering and sex trafficking — that could have landed him life in prison.

It seems to me that things getting done in order of priority, compounded by relative urgency, DarthVader. President Trump hasn’t been in office a full six months yet, and his people necessarily even less. It generally takes six months for someone new on the job to find the location of the executive bathroom and lunchroom, and who is in charge of key things needed to get the job done. While this is President Trump’s second time round, almost all of his people are not only new on the job, but many have not been accustomed to rotating in about out of government — they’re new to DC altogether.

A 19-year-old Michigan man has been charged after allegedly attempting to burn down a building housing the Dickinson County Republican Committee’s office with a Molotov cocktail.
Zayn Arcand was arraigned Monday afternoon via Zoom on charges of arson and manufacturing and possessing explosives. The attempted attack occurred Saturday in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
According to police, officers were alerted to a suspicious individual outside the building trying to ignite a rag sticking out of a bottle. Surveillance footage reportedly showed Arcand throwing an unlit bottle at the structure. He was arrested at his home later that day.
The Iron Mountain Police Department said in a statement that Arcand admitted to making the bombs in his driveway and claimed he threw the bottle to "send a message against the corruption."
Video of what appears to be Arcand circulated on social media in which he claimed to identify as "genderfluid," and "ambiamorous."

[Korrespondent] An important component of the enemy's success is the lies from the ground in reports about the real state of affairs, which prevents the assessment of risks and response to changes in the situation from above, analysts say.
Russian invaders are actively advancing in the Novopavlovskoye direction towards the administrative border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. This was reported by the monitoring project DeepState on Wednesday, July 15.
"The Russians are intensively moving towards the administrative border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, occupying settlements, villages and positions that remain on the way to it. The entire section from Alekseyevka to Novopol is under pressure from the enemy, who, with the help of his main resource - infantry and heavy losses, is paving the way for himself to occupy Donetsk region," the statement says.
It is noted that the Dachnoye area of the Dnepropetrovsk region is active, where groups of Russians constantly enter in order to gain a foothold in the village, but the Defense Forces are making efforts to prevent this.
"The situation is chaotic along the Novokhatskoye-Piddubnoye-Mirnoye-Perebudova-Komar-Fedorovka-Voskresenka section. It is a very complex section, which is the most difficult to analyze in the entire section," DeepState noted.
Analysts say a big part of the enemy's success is the lies from the ground in reports about the real state of affairs, which makes it difficult to assess risks and respond to changing circumstances from above.
"In the area from Zeleny Gai to Zeleny Pole, where commanders were given the opportunity to report on the situation without consequences, they continued as before. And this is a huge problem that entails catastrophic consequences," writes DeepState.
Let us recall that as of 16:00 on Wednesday, 63 combat clashes had occurred on the front , which is almost half of yesterday's figure for this time of day. Such data was published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report. Seven Russian assaults were repelled in the Novopavlovsk direction.
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited [KavkazUzel] The Stavropol Regional Court sentenced seven residents of Dagestan to 14 to 15 years in a maximum security prison. Their defense promised to appeal the verdict. The total number of people convicted for the pogrom at Makhachkala airport in 2023 reached 129.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", earlier, colleagues of one of those convicted today, Mikail Razakov, recorded a video message in the special operation zone in Ukraine to the head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, in which they asked for help in transferring Razakov to house arrest due to his deteriorating health.
On October 29, 2023, mass riots occurred at Makhachkala airport due to a report of the arrival of a plane with passengers from Israel. More than 20 people were injured in the riots. What happened at Uytash airport and how the investigation is going is described in the "Caucasian Knot" report " Case of the pogrom at Makhachkala airport.”
On July 16, the Stavropol Regional Court announced the verdict for seven defendants: Mikail Razakov, Jamal Ibavoov, Bashir Magomedov, Ilyas Nasuyev, Kamil Ibragimkhalilov, Ruslan Murtazaliev and Arslan Magomedov. They were found guilty of mass riots accompanied by violence and destruction of property, failure to comply with transport safety requirements and an attempt on the life of a law enforcement officer. All of them were sentenced to terms of 14 to 15 years, the first three years of which will be served in prison, and the rest of the period in a maximum security penal colony. "In addition, each of them was given an additional punishment in the form of restriction of freedom for a period of two years," the regional prosecutor's office said in a statement on its website.
"The verdict has just been announced, and we have not yet received the text. As soon as we receive the text, we will definitely file an appeal, and if that fails, a cassation appeal," the lawyer of one of the defendants told a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on condition of anonymity.
The lawyer noted that previously all motions of the defense to appoint situational and video technical examinations were rejected. "Also, many witnesses on the prosecution list were not questioned. During the questioning of the victims and witnesses who appeared, it became clear that the crowd was not homogeneous. There was a part of ordinary citizens, and there were more aggressive, instigating ones. The victims were not at the place where my client was, except for one, who received (an injury) before, according to the billing data, my client arrived there," the interlocutor emphasized.
Moreover, according to the defense, the defendants’ presence in the checkpoint area itself did not pose a threat to transport security.

Just the blowoff...
[THEFEDERALIST] So you're telling me a president in obvious cognitive decline, who clearly could not function after a certain point in the early afternoon, whose White House regularly called a lid at noon, ''kept his aides until nearly 10 p.m.'' on his last day in office? I'm sorry, but that's just not believable.
What is believable is that Biden's presidency was run by a faceless syndicate of aides, lawyers, and senior White House staff — the deep state, in other words. And not just in the final days regarding clemency decisions. Early on in the 2020 campaign it was obvious to anyone who cared to pay attention and be honest that Biden wasn't all there and wasn't really in charge. He awkwardly hid in his basement instead of campaigning, using Covid as the excuse. Once he took office, Biden's decline was undeniable. His routine confusion on stage and in formal settings, his physical frailty and penchant for tripping, and his incessant verbal gaffes and nonsense made it obvious that he wasn't all there.
Biden once repeatedly looked for a dead congresswomen in the crowd at a White House event and called out her name. That was in September 2022 — long before his disastrous debate performance with Trump made it obvious that he was unfit to run for a second term, let alone serve as commander-in-chief.
All along, the media ran cover for him, insisting anyone who questioned his mental acuity was a conspiracy theorist or acting in bad faith. Some, like CNN ...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for... 's Jake Tapper and Axios' Alex Thompson, have tried to retcon all of this, writing an entire book about how the Biden White House hid the president's mental decline and ''deceived'' the press. For Tapper to co-author such a book is almost pathologically shameless, since he was one of the major media figures who ran interference for Biden by attacking everyone who noticed the president's decline.
Like nearly everything else about the Biden presidency, the autopen scandal reveals just how far the deep state was willing to go to keep a mentally compromised figurehead in office. They ran a coup against Biden last summer after the debate with Trump, only once it became obvious and undeniable that Biden wasn't all there.
The New York Times
...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... can cite anonymous sources all it wants to try to ''contextualize'' the use of the autopen at the eleventh hour of Biden's term, but like Biden's obvious unfitness for office throughout his presidency, the truth is right in front of us, plain for all to see. His presidency stands as one of the greatest political scandals perpetrated against the American people in a generation, and eventually someone needs to answer for that.

[REGNUM] The Verkhovna Rada votes for the resignation of Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal with fights and shouts, and then a new government will inevitably be formed. Regnum News Agency reported that this would happen a month ago - all this time, the bargaining for seats continued, and the rotation in power shifted a little.
However, the logic of the political process was preserved, and the forecast regarding the candidacy of the new head of government (it will be headed by the current Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko ) and the change in the leadership of the Ministry of Defense turned out to be correct.
The new Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, according to the plan of the Office of the President, should appear as early as Thursday, July 17, and illegally, since the candidate should have been nominated by the parliamentary majority, and not by Zelensky, who announced it to everyone as a given.
In addition to “rearranging the beds,” there will be several consolidations in the cabinet—it is obvious that maintaining entire ministries that produce nothing but information noise is pointless.
Therefore, the “optimization” will affect such a funny institution as the Ministry of National Unity, and a separate ministry for strategic industries of Ukraine will be merged with the Ministry of Defense.
The minister of the cabinet of ministers will disappear - this position was introduced back in 2003, when Leonid Kuchma abolished the institution of state secretaries. The new head of the cabinet was to be responsible for organizing the work of the government and coordinating the activities of ministries.
Finally, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the Ministry of Ecology will become a single entity - this will make it easier for the new boss to control the money.
All of these are symptoms of a serious illness, in which both the system of state administration and the spheres that are subject to management are. But we should start with the person of Sviridenko, because if we talk about symptoms, then she is the main pimple, signaling the state of the whole organism. And at the same time, she is the key person, explaining, if not everything, then a lot about what is happening.
"ONE MAN BAND"
Yulia Anatolyevna is a representative of the very same managerial elite that foreign organizations have been systematically preparing for Ukraine for many years.
The career growth of the girl from Chernigov cannot be called rapid, but in 10 years she has climbed the management ladder from the Chernigov Regional State Administration to the Cabinet of Ministers and the President's Office. And this happened thanks to the right connections.
After graduating from university, having worked in a company whose ultimate beneficiary, by a strange coincidence, is the main Turkish entrepreneur and philanthropist, CEO of Baykar Defence, Lutfü Haluk Bayraktar, Sviridenko went to accounting courses at the Kyiv School of Economics.
This non-profit organization was created back in 1996 specifically as a training ground for the countries of the collapsed Soviet Union. Its founders are The Economics Education and Research Consortium (EERC) and the foundation of Victor Pinchuk, the son-in-law of the second president, an oligarch and a systemic conductor of the interests of American Democrats and the Soros foundation in Ukraine.
At that time, the President of the KSE was already the future Minister of Economy, Timofey Milovanov, who himself received a master's degree in economics from the EERC, continued his education in the United States and worked there for some time in the field of education, so that after the victory of the Maidan he could immediately become a top official in his homeland.
The talented girl caught the eye of a foreign agent, so she was immediately placed in the State Property Fund of Ukraine to improve her skills. And over the next few years, she successfully completed several prestigious international training programs.
In particular, she completed two management training programs in Germany and a private sector growth strategy program organized by the Swedish International Development Agency Si2.
In 2015, when the victorious Maidan was building a system of power for itself, Yulia Anatolyevna was sent to help one of the owners of the Chernihiv region, a major agricultural businessman Valeriy Kulich, who became the richest governor in the country.
Before the “revolution of dignity,” Kulich was a people’s deputy from the Party of Regions, but he practically changed his masters by agreeing to head the region—Sviridenko became his advisor, director of the Department of Economics, and then oversaw decentralization issues as deputy governor.
"When I came to the Regional State Administration, even in the foreign economic department there were no people who knew English. Yulia was qualitatively different from other employees at that time," Kulich later said, after three years he had a falling out with Petro Poroshenko * and left his position.
In 2018, she became acting head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, holding the position for five months and sitting out until her new appointment in Kulich’s business.
Well, Milovanov invited her to Zelensky's team, nominating his protégé for the position of his deputy in the Ministry of Economy - even then, Sviridenko was known as a "one-man band" who had no problems with communication. By the way, in addition to English, she has known Chinese since her student years, and later learned Japanese as well.
So, as a proven and loyal employee, she remained in office after the minister was replaced, and at the end of 2020, she moved to the Presidential Office, where she dealt with economic issues and became part of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group to resolve the conflict in Donbas.
To feed her, she was introduced to the supervisory board of the NAK Naftogaz of Ukraine, and in addition, Sviridenko received a “ration” from the owners through the KSHE: she is regularly paid fees for some teaching activity - last year alone, she earned 3.1 million hryvnia (about 5.8 million rubles) here.
Already on November 4, 2021, Yulia Anatolyevna returned as "Yermak's person" to the Ministry of Economy, heading it as a minister, combining it with the position of first vice-prime minister. Under her hand, in particular, were such murky programs personally important for the Zelensky family as "National Cashback" and the All-Ukrainian mental health program "How are you?" of Elena Zelenskaya.
In 2022, it was Sviridenko who headed the joint Interdepartmental Working Group on the implementation of state sanctions policy, the purpose of which was to develop and introduce new sanctions against Russia. She joined the ongoing negotiations in European countries, effectively as a top diplomat, and after the arrival of the Trump administration, she led the dialogue on the so-called "Ukraine-US minerals agreement."
Her signature is under the final documents transferring Ukrainian natural resources to colonial management. So the position of the head of government is a very logical step in her career: a reliable and loyal person should lead the "post-war restoration" in favor of foreign owners.
REARRANGING THE BEDS
The fact that Yulia Sviridenko has built “constructive and effective” relations with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is decisive for the current rotation of prime ministers: there were no other candidates in principle.
"She will be one of the main contacts with the Trump administration on economic issues, first of all," says well-known Ukrainian political scientist Volodymyr Fesenko. At the same time, the almost Prime Minister enjoys the full trust of Zelensky and the head of his Office, who essentially runs the government manually.
So it is not surprising that Zelensky personally summoned Sviridenko and outlined her priority tasks.
The main thing, according to him, is to increase the production of domestic weapons, secure contracts for the production of the necessary volumes of all types of drones, carry out deregulation in order to “free up domestic economic potential,” and ensure the implementation of social support programs for Ukrainians.
“We have determined what results can be achieved in the first six months of the new government’s work,” Zelensky summed up after the meeting, and in principle it is clear that task No. 1 is to scale up weapons production and collect money from the population.
Other tasks are either impossible to accomplish or deeply secondary, as indicated by the proposed new composition of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers.
This is what Sviridenko confirmed, stating that in her new position she needs to carry out a reduction in “non-critical government spending and duplication of functions of government institutions… and the complete concentration of government resources for the defense of Ukraine and recovery after military action.”
And “clearer instruments of social support” concern military personnel – former and current.
Therefore, the record holder for the longest tenure as head of government, Shmyhal, is moving to the Ministry of Defense and is taking over the system of the abolished Ministry of Strategic Industry - this is a huge enterprise, where an executive, loyal and completely unambitious Lviv resident would be more useful.
And the current minister Rustem Umerov, as reported by IA Regnum, is being kicked out of his post and, as expected, will be sent as ambassador to the States - the untouchable agent of influence who conducted negotiations with the Russian delegation against the will of his superiors is being returned home. Umerov's family lives in Florida, his father and brother have a business there, and in general, as we said, Sviridenko should now be in charge of coordination with the Trump administration.
Therefore, either a new leader of the group will appear at the next negotiations with Russia, or Kyiv will show that it does not intend to talk anymore.
Digital Transformation Minister Mikhail Fyodorov will probably become the first vice-president — he and the prime minister will work on drones together. And there is simply no replacement for such a specialist in the country.
The most curious thing about the current “reform” is the liquidation of the Ministry of Food – it is known to be headed by Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Chernyshov, whose triumphant flight abroad and strange return as a suspect in a corruption criminal case became a prelude to the admission that there is no unity, and there is no point in suffering any longer.
The Ministry of Economy will be merged with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the Ministry of Ecology into a single Ministry of Resources, which will be headed by Alexey Sobolev, Sviridenko's deputy. Everything is clear here: key economic areas will be under the general manager's control, and this is optimization.
And ecology figures here for a reason, since considerable funds are spent through this ministry on demining territories and other restoration activities, which the “one-man band” also managed to do.
All other changes are of little importance and are rather decorative. In general, one thing is clear: the main body of executive power is shrinking together with the state and reducing its activities to the minimum necessary. And subsequently it must make the transition to a new regime of existence under the complete control of foreign states.
That is why they raised such valuable specialists as Yulia Anatolyevna.

[REGNUM] The trial of local pensioner Howard Phillips, accused of working for Russian secret services, continues in the UK. At a hearing held recently at Winchester Crown Court, he shocked his accusers with a sensational statement.
It turns out that all this time he was allegedly working for Israel, helping Tel Aviv to identify “Russian spies.” And he acted solely out of a sense of solidarity with the Jewish state.
Despite the fact that Phillips' statement looked like an attempt to shift the focus to another topic and to pity from the jury, the "Israeli trace" in the story is still present - albeit not in the foreground. Tel Aviv had enough reasons to look for sore points of the British Conservatives.
SPY HUNTER
Howard Phillips, a 65-year-old British man of Jewish descent, did not have a distinguished career. He spent most of his life working in his family's fur factory in the East End and handling bankruptcy cases.
He never managed to develop the family business - the enterprise quickly went bankrupt. And his career as an auditor did not work out because of his addiction to alcohol.
Phillips began to experience increasingly frequent money problems and made ends meet with odd jobs. And in 2022, the start of Russia's SVO in Ukraine, according to his family, left the impressionable Briton "mentally traumatized."
He allegedly became suspicious and obsessed with ideas of revenge, constantly looking for traces of "Russian agents" and writing letters to all authorities calling for the arrest of this or that suspicious person. For this, neighbors even nicknamed Phillips "spy hunter".
But by a cruel irony, he himself came to the attention of counterintelligence.
In the spring of 2024, Phillips was arrested by Scotland Yard's Counter Terrorism Unit and handed over to MI5. He was accused of sending a letter to the Russian embassy offering to sell valuable information about the British cabinet.
And then he collected and tried to pass on to London’s opponents (who were posed as British security forces) a dossier on Grant Shapps, the Minister of Defence in Rishi Sunak’s Conservative cabinet.
The flash drive, intended for the “customers,” contained information about the minister’s home address and the location of his private jet, his hobbies, his immediate circle of friends, and his strengths and weaknesses.
The prosecution also notes that during the conversation, Phillips boasted about his personal acquaintance with the minister and his family, thereby hinting at his own value as an operational source, and also promised to obtain new information if he was well paid.
However, when he told the jury at Winchester Crown Court, the defendant gave a different picture.
He admitted that he did send a letter to the Russian diplomatic mission in March 2024, but did not do so for the purpose of criminal gain.
On the contrary, Phillips wanted to personally expose the enemy's agents - since his numerous appeals to the authorities remained unheeded. He sent a similar offer to "buy information" to the Iranian embassy, but there was no response.
Moreover, at the trial, Phillips stated that he hunted for “Russian spies” also out of solidarity with Israel.
When asked by the prosecutor what benefit such work could bring to Tel Aviv, the accused stated that he wanted to give the information he had collected about Russian agents to the Israelis so that they would “notify Great Britain” and thus “receive recognition for this” from London.
Phillips described his attitude towards Russia as “sharply negative.”
ISRAELI TRACE
Despite the fact that the "Phillips case" is "spy" only conditionally, it will most likely be brought to a demonstrative conclusion. And the "Russian trace" will remain the main one in it - as the most advantageous for London in the conditions of confrontation with Moscow.
At the same time, there are other thematic lines in the case that are currently being ignored by the British justice system. In particular, the "spy hunter" clearly downplays the scale of his contacts with the Israeli side.
Back in December 2023 – almost three months before he approached the Russian embassy and came to the attention of counterintelligence – Phillips sent an email to the consular secretary of the Israeli embassy in the UK, asking for a face-to-face meeting with someone from the diplomatic apparatus. His request was granted.
After this, Phillips' behavior changed noticeably.
He gave up drinking and suddenly tried to get a job with the UK Border Force - although, according to family members, he previously hated the agency, calling its employees "useless slackers".
His financial situation also improved.
In particular, he was able to rent a small apartment in the London area of Harlesden (famous for its Middle Eastern restaurants), a few blocks from the Israeli embassy.
True, subsequent searches at this address yielded nothing - the apartment turned out to be uninhabited, although the detainee claimed that he spent a lot of time there. Including preparing "traps for Russian intelligence agents."
The "cleanliness" of the home suggests that Phillips' potential employers learned of his failure and rushed to cover their tracks before the police arrived.
HIDDEN INTEREST
Israel may certainly have had its own motives for seeking the eyes and ears of prominent British Conservatives. And Defence Secretary Shapps seemed a priority target, as he had been the most vocal critic of London's involvement in the Middle East.
He also torpedoed plans for operations against Yemen's Houthis and delayed the transfer of intelligence to Tel Aviv, thereby depriving it of tactical advantages. The confidential information Phillips had could well have become a lever of influence and pressure on the British Defense Minister, if Israel had used it at the right time.
However, by the spring of 2025 it became clear that Sunak's Conservative government would not last long and there was no need to rush to obtain dirt on Shapps.
Moreover, the inexperience of the newly acquired agent and his desire to attract as much public attention to the "spy hunt" as possible created the risk of exposure. That is why, over time, the Israelis distanced themselves from the inconvenient informant.
The discord was indirectly confirmed by Phillips himself, who noted during one of his interrogations that by the beginning of spring 2025 he was “entirely focused on searching for Russian spies” in Great Britain in order to “confirm a sense of solidarity” with the Jewish state.
With the victory of the Labour Party led by Keir Starmer, the cabinet changed. In July 2024, Shapps resigned, and the value of the "Phillips archive" for foreign intelligence dropped to zero.
Moreover, the new head of the Defense Department, John Healey, turned out to be more militant and supported Tel Aviv’s escalatory course, expanding the range of assistance provided to the Israelis.
Israel is unlikely to spoil relations with London. There is no need for the British authorities to promote this version either. Instead of fueling anti-Semitic sentiments, it is much more profitable to maintain fear of the omnipresent Russian intelligence and its “insidious agents.”
This means that Phillips' claims of working for Tel Aviv will most likely be written off as a clouded mind or self-hypnosis, and his case will not affect relations between Israel and Great Britain.
Reminds me of this Rolling Stones song.
[Regnum] A 35-year-old woman suspected of seducing Buddhist monks and extorting money has been arrested in Thailand. This was reported on July 16 by AP News.
Investigators believe that Vilawan Emsawat deliberately entered into close relationships with Buddhist monks, violating their monastic vows, and then blackmailed the clergy by threatening to make these stories public.
It was established that at least nine high-ranking monks were defrocked because of the scandal. The investigation was prompted by the confession of the abbot of one of the temples: he left the monastic order after Vilavan threatened to reveal the fact of their affair and demanded 7.2 million baht (about 17.3 million rubles) under the pretext of pregnancy.
According to police, the woman received transfers from the monasteries totaling about 385 million baht (about 924 million rubles) over three years. These funds were allegedly spent on gambling.
The woman has been charged with extortion, money laundering and possession of stolen goods. The country's authorities have announced their intention to strengthen financial control over temples and create a mechanism to monitor the behavior of monks.
Earlier, Sindonews reported that a well-known Buddhist monk, former chairman of the Buddhist Association of the People's Republic of China Shi Xuecheng, was removed from office in China. The reason was accusations of sexual and financial violations. According to investigators, the accused sexually abused nuns, explaining this as a supposed religious practice. Shi Xuecheng denied his guilt, calling the accusations falsified.

[REGNUM] Against the backdrop of the ongoing escalation in the Syrian province of Suwayda (a stronghold of the ethno-confessional minority, the Syrian Druze) since July 13, on Wednesday, July 16, the Israeli Air Force not only continued to strike Syrian military targets in the Daraa and As-Suwayda areas, but also bombed Damascus, taking the conflict to a new level.
In Suwayda, fighting continues between government forces, Druze groups and Bedouin tribes. And in the capital of Syria, the central part of the city came under attack, including government facilities such as the presidential palace, the Defense Ministry complex, etc.
However, despite the growing tensions and polarization of hostility between the Sunni majority and the Druze, the current conflict in Sweida still has a chance to return to the status quo. This is exactly what happened during the previous escalation in April-May 2025, when it was possible to prevent an increase in violence.
INTERNATIONAL RESONANCE
The Israeli leadership explains its actions by the need to protect the Druze population from the government in Damascus and to create a demilitarized zone in southern Syria. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz demanded an immediate withdrawal of Syrian troops from the region, warning of a possible intensification of military operations in case of refusal.
In a statement released through Israeli media, Katz insisted on a complete end to the Syrian army's presence in As-Suwayda and ensuring the safety of the Druze. He stressed Israel's determination not to leave the Druze community without support and to consistently implement the policy of demilitarization in the area.
In turn, in a harsh statement, Israeli Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli called for the removal of the Syrian president, accusing him of terrorism and drawing parallels with the Hamas movement. Chikli described the Syrian leadership as an “extremist terrorist regime,” calling for active opposition to it.
At the same time, Israeli forces have reinforced their presence on the Syrian border. Additional units of the Border Guard and the Golani Brigade have been reported.
Against this backdrop, US Special Envoy for Syria Thomas Barrack reported on intensive talks with various Syrian parties aimed at de-escalation. Barrack expressed concern over the events in As-Suwayda, noting Washington's desire for a peaceful settlement that takes into account the interests of the Druze, Bedouin tribes, the Syrian authorities and Israel.
According to Israeli journalist Barak Ravid, Israel promised the US to stop attacks on Syria.
ISRAEL'S NEW STRATEGY
If we look at the IDF's actions in Syria from a strategic perspective, they are aimed at maintaining permanent chaos and preventing the establishment and strengthening of a central authority in the country.
Following the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, Israel reassessed its security priorities.
Now, controlled chaos along the perimeter of Israel's borders is considered preferable to the creation of stable state structures. As these structures become stronger, they will be able to threaten the Jewish state, while isolated manifestations of chaos, even those capable of "spilling over" into Israel, are much easier to manage.
For this purpose, in particular, Benjamin Netanyahu would like to create a demilitarized (for the Syrian army) buffer zone in the south of Syria, which would be controlled by Druze groups loyal to Israel. A similar puppet Christian state with the support of Israel existed in Lebanon until 2000.
However, this is a very dangerous game, since in the event of the loss of Suwayda, and then the whole of southern Syria, the regime in Damascus may not survive, which is what Israel actually wants.
This will lead to the collapse of the rudiments of the new Syrian state that never came into being, which will be taken advantage of by the most radical forces, who will most likely consolidate around ISIS* cells operating in the Syrian desert.
This could be the starting point for the restoration of a territorial ISIS* “caliphate” in Syria, as the activity of ISIS* terrorists and related groups such as Saraya Ansar al-Sunna has already increased significantly.
In fact, this is why the United States does not share Israel’s approach to supporting the Druze and the split in Syria, fearing the reincarnation and new expansion of the terrorist “caliphate,” as happened in 2013–2014 in Iraq, when no one expected it.
DRUZE VS BEDOUINS
The current conflict between official Damascus and the Druze was caused by an incident that occurred on July 11.
According to the information provided by the Druze, a gang of Bedouins robbed and captured a Druze merchant, then beat him and left him blindfolded in the desert, where he was discovered and rescued.
In response, Druze armed groups took several members of Bedouin tribes hostage.
The Bedouins, in turn, attacked a checkpoint in the Al-Maqwas area east of the city of Al-Suwayda, where they captured several members of local Druze militias. They were accused of attacking Bedouins for the purpose of looting and taking hostages.
Soon new units of Druze and Bedouins began to converge on the area, and starting on July 13, they entered into open armed conflict with each other, using heavy equipment and mortars.
The conflict spread to new areas of the province after Bedouin clans from neighboring regions arrived to help their fellow tribesmen.
DAMASCUS'S INTERVENTION
At the same time, on July 14, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Syria began introducing their units into the province of Suwayda under the pretext of preventing a conflict between the Druze and the Bedouins.
At the same time, the rhetoric of the statements by Damascus officials contained clear indications that the goal of the operation was also to disarm groups that “intend to split Syria” and “call for separatism.” By these they meant supporters of one of the three spiritual leaders of the Druze, Hikmat al-Hijri, and the so-called “Military Council” associated with him (this group primarily brought together former supporters of Assad ).
It should be noted that from the very beginning of the armed confrontation with the Bedouins, al-Hijri blamed everything on the government in Damascus, which, in his opinion, “incited” the Bedouin tribes against the Druze.
He also called for disobedience to Damascus and resistance to the Syrian troops entering the province. It is significant that he had previously accused the authorities of being unable to ensure security on the Es-Suwayda-Damascus highway, but at the same time did not allow the presence of the Syrian troops themselves or the security forces that were supposed to ensure this security.
Therefore, as soon as the Syrian troops began to enter the province of Suwayda, they were immediately attacked by the forces of the "Military Council", which led to significant losses and made the conflict irreversible.
"ANNOYING VIOLATIONS"
The situation was aggravated by the fact that many units of the Syrian army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs still consist of militants from radical groups and are inclined to view the confrontation with the Druze through a sectarian prism.
Videos appearing online with radical calls from some representatives of the Syrian army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs added fuel to the fire of the confrontation, as did crimes against civilians by the Syrian military.
The militants of the new Syrian regime carried out reprisals against Druze civilians.
According to various estimates, between 10 and 20 people, including three women, were killed in such criminal acts. In addition, many Druze faced beatings and humiliation, when their moustaches, which have an important religious and symbolic meaning, were forcibly cut off.
As Igor Subbotin, a specialist in the Middle East and an expert at the Russian International Affairs Council, told Regnum :
"The current authorities in Damascus have already had great difficulty overcoming the reputational problems created for them by the massacre in the coastal areas of Syria in March. Now, after the outbreak of violence in the south, which has led to an unprecedented activism of the Israeli Druze and Israel itself, the Syrian authorities will have to explain to the world that the Druze population of Syria is not in danger. Although there is no doubt that these days the Syrian troops have tried to side with the Sunni Bedouins and, according to monitoring organizations, have abused their powers."
At the same time, unlike the Alawites, there is no such thing as a “consensus of rejection” among the Sunni majority in Syria regarding the Druze.
Sectarian calls against the Druze are heard from individual representatives of the most radical factions that have entered the new Syrian army, while others have no prejudice against the Druze as an ethno-confessional minority.
Many of them are still perceived as comrades in the fight against the Assad regime, while the accusations against the Alawites were sweeping and were made on behalf of all Sunni circles, including quite secular ones, and were not the prerogative of exclusively religious radicals.
This is precisely why the massacre of Alawites on the coast was possible on such a horrific scale.
However, as already noted, the opposition of many Druze to Assad does not save them from individual acts of reprisals by the most radical representatives of the Syrian security forces and army, which the transitional president Ahmed al-Sharaa has already been forced to draw attention to, condemning these, in his words, “shameful acts” and reaffirming his commitment to investigate them.
"The Syrian state is following with great attention the unfortunate violations that have recently taken place in some areas of the province of As-Suwayda. These actions, which constitute criminal and illegal behavior, cannot be accepted under any circumstances and are completely contrary to the principles on which the Syrian state is founded," the statement by the interim president of Syria said.
DECEPTIVE MANEUVER
Of course, the actions of Israel and Hikmat al-Hijri also contribute to the radicalization of the views of part of the Syrian Sunni majority regarding the solution to the Druze problem.
Although the balanced and moderate position of other leaders of the Druze community gives a chance for normalization. They do not allow cooperation with Israel and advocate for continuing the dialogue with Damascus, whose authorities, albeit with reservations, they consider legitimate.
This approach also creates an obstacle to an open IDF invasion of Suwayda, which al-Hijri is so keen on, since instead of meeting the Israeli military with flowers, they could end up under fire from the very same Druze groups that do not share al-Hijri's views.
The latter is also blamed for the disruption of the agreement on a ceasefire and normalization of the situation between the Druze leaders and the government in Damascus on the night of July 15: after this sheikh secured the support of Tel Aviv, he immediately violated the agreement.
Let us recall that after Syrian government forces and the Interior Ministry managed to take control of most of the provincial capital of As-Suwayda by the evening of July 14, an agreement on a ceasefire and normalization was reached between Druze leaders and Damascus.
In particular, the Druze spiritual leaders, including Sheikh al-Hijri, announced their agreement to the introduction of government troops into al-Suwayda in order to stop the ongoing violence. They called on all armed groups in the area to cooperate and surrender their weapons.
Apparently, these negotiations served as a cover for al-Hijri and his men in the "Military Council" to buy time and regroup while negotiating with Israel for military support.
Before this, Israel itself had not yet made a decision to launch aggression against Syria under the pretext of protecting the Druze, and consultations were underway between the political leadership and the IDF.
In addition, after the ceasefire was announced, heavy equipment and units of the Ministry of Defense were withdrawn from the city, leaving only the Ministry of Internal Affairs and military police forces.
IDF STRIKES
As soon as Tel Aviv decided to launch an operation against the Syrian army, Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri published a video in which he called on Druze fighters to “resist the brutal campaign (of official Damascus) by all available means,” thereby violating agreements with Damascus, accompanied by Israeli bombing.
The Israeli Air Force strikes primarily hit the positions of Syrian troops withdrawn from the city, who were unable to provide support to the Interior Ministry and military police forces, who were driven out of As-Suwayda by Druze forces with heavy losses.
These actions by al-Hijri are perceived by many Syrians as an outright betrayal, as is the raising of Israeli flags in As-Suwayda by individual Druze fighters in place of the overthrown Syrian ones.
In addition, the IDF air strikes on July 16 on Damascus, on the Defense Ministry and General Staff complex, as well as the presidential palace area and other targets in the Syrian capital, have caused “hatred and indignation” among Syrians, and now there is a threat that this “indignation and hatred” will be channeled towards the Druze.
On the other hand, apparently, Al-Hijri and Israel themselves are counting on this. That is, for them, the worse the situation and the more victims and especially reprisals against civilians, the more compelling the reason for Israel's direct intervention in the conflict and the creation of an Israeli "buffer zone" in southern Syria with support from the Druze.
But even despite the bombing of the Syrian capital, the position of the United States, which advocates a settlement between the Druze and Damascus, somewhat binds Netanyahu in his actions.
As long as the acts of reprisals that have captured the world's attention are isolated and do not exceed the number of Syrian civilians killed by Israeli strikes on Syria, Netanyahu has no arguments to convince Donald Trump to support his more active actions under the pretext of saving the Druze from genocide.
NEW HOPE
Further developments will largely depend on how viable the next attempt at a ceasefire and a new agreement between the Druze and Damascus will be.
Thus, on the evening of July 16, Sheikh Yusuf Jarbu, one of the three spiritual leaders of the Druze, announced an agreement with the Syrian state to resolve the situation in Suwayda.
According to the statement, the parties agreed to an immediate cessation of all military actions, Syrian police and internal security forces, including local personnel, will be deployed in the city of As-Suwayda and its environs, and Druze groups undertake not to attack their posts.
It is also proposed to create a joint monitoring committee of representatives of the state and the Druze clergy to monitor compliance with the agreement.
In addition, the agreement emphasizes " the appointment of honest and professional police officers from Suwayda to senior positions in the province's security agencies."
The state also undertakes to protect the housing and property of citizens from attacks and robberies and to create a joint commission to investigate crimes and violations, with compensation for victims and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
The success of the agreements will largely depend on the implementation of the last point.
RISK OF ESCALATION
Although Damascus has already taken certain steps and demonstrated the Syrian military detained for crimes (which, by the way, was not done during the massacre on the coast), it is important to bring these cases to a court decision.
Moreover, the presence of Salafi-jihadist groups within the ranks of the new Syrian army and the Interior Ministry continues to pose a threat to Syrians.
Although no less of a threat is posed by other radical elements in the ranks of the security forces, although they do not profess radical interpretations of Salafism and are even entirely secular, they speak from the position of radical Syrian Sunni nationalism and call for reprisals against Syrian minorities as “accomplices of the Assad regime,” placing collective responsibility on them.
Although the recruitment of new recruits into the Syrian army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs has reduced the percentage of radicals in them, they are still grouped in a number of divisions and brigades of the new Syrian army and are used, among other things, in operations against minorities.
On the other hand, maintaining the leading positions in Suwayda al-Hijri and the “Military Council” associated with it threatens to turn any small security incident into a full-scale conflict between the Druze and Damascus, with the prospect of drawing Israel into it.

[Regnum] A number of Ukrainian Armed Forces commanders are preparing an armed rebellion in the country. This was reported on July 16 by military expert Boris Rozhin.
"My hackers stole a mockup of a very interesting document from the computer of one of the SBU employees. If this is not a setup of the command of the Kherson group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by the SBU and the document is real, then it turns out that some Ukrainian commanders are preparing an armed rebellion," he noted on the Telegram channel.
According to Rozhin, it is high time for Ukrainian soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to directly negotiate with Russia. They could take control of Nikolaev, enlist the support of the local population and begin negotiations. Perhaps in this case there will be some chance to preserve the remnants of the Ukrainian people, the military blogger believes.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, earlier Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus ( Vladimir Kuznetsov and Aleksey Stolyarov ), on behalf of former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko (a member of an association involved in extremist activity or terrorism), offered several foreign mercenaries of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to take part in the overthrow of the current regime in Ukraine. The pranksters informed the militants of their intention to create a private military company, invited them to join the ranks of this organization, and also to stage a coup d'etat. Some of the mercenaries agreed.
In March, former Verkhovna Rada deputy Spiridon Kilinkarov said that preparations for a coup d'etat had begun in Ukraine. According to him, the head of the Kiev regime could be removed by Ukrainian former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, that is, become the speaker of parliament with the prospect of rising to the position of acting president.

[Korrespondent] ZSU deters Russian attacks in southern and eastern Ukraine.
The most active fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsky direction. Currently, five combat clashes are ongoing there.
As of 16:00 on Wednesday, there were 63 combat clashes on the front, which is almost half the figure for yesterday at this time of day. Such data was published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report on July 16.
Thus, four attacks by Russians took place in the Severo-Slobodskoy and Kursk directions.
In the Yuzhno-Slobodskoy direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled two attacks near Vovchansk.
In the Kupyansk direction, the occupiers tried to break through in the Sinkovka area.
In the Liman direction, the invading army carried out 14 attacks near the settlements of Novy Mir, Nadezhda, Karpovka, Kolodyazi, Zelenaya Dolina, Torskoye and in the direction of Serebryanka. Two combat clashes continue.
In the Seversky direction, the occupiers tried three times to advance forward in the Grigoryevka area and towards Vyemka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders stopped two attacks towards Belaya Gora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out four assaults in the areas of Nelipovka, Toretsk and Aleksandro-Kalinovoe. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders carried out 26 attacks near the settlements of Poltavka, Novoekonomicheskoe, Mirolyubovka, Lisovka, Novoukrainka, Zvirovo, Kotlin, Udachnoye, Muravka and Alekseyevka. The defense forces repelled 21 enemy attacks. Five battles are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defense in the areas of the settlements of Poddubnoye, Mirnoye, Volnoye Pole and Zelenoye Pole. The defense forces repelled seven assaults.
Let us recall that in the course of 24 hours on July 14, Russia lost more than 1,200 servicemen, wounded and killed. The total number of Russian losses is approaching 1.1 million people.
[FoxNews] Sen Adam Schiff caught in yearslong mortgage scheme that deceived lenders, federal housing chief says
Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., has been referred to the Department of Justice for criminal prosecution regarding mortgage documents.
The director of the U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in May citing alleged misconduct by Schiff, who owns homes in California and Maryland.
"Based on media reports, Mr. Adam B. Schiff has, in multiple instances, falsified bank documents and property records to acquire more favorable loan terms, impacting payments from 2003-2019 for a Potomac, Maryland-based property," FHFA Director William Pulte wrote in the letter, which Fox News obtained on Wednesday. "As regulator of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Banks, we take very seriously allegations of mortgage fraud or other criminal activity. Such misconduct jeopardizes the safety and soundness of FHFA’s regulated entities and the security and stability of the U.S. mortgage market."
On Monday, Pulte received a memo from the Fannie Mae financial crimes investigations concluding that Schiff allegedly engaged in "a sustained pattern of possible occupancy misrepresentation" on five Fannie Mae loans, Fox News has learned.
It is unclear if the Justice Department is pursing action against Schiff at this time, but earlier this week, President Donald Trump did demand his longtime foe be brought to justice for the alleged mortgage fraud scheme.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Justice Department for more information, but they did not immediately respond.
Schiff and his wife purchased a home in Potomac, Maryland, in 2003 for $870,000, according to the letter. They entered into a Fannie Mae-backed mortgage agreement for $610,000 at a rate of 5.625% over a term of 30 years, asserting the property would be their primary and principal residence.
The letter said they reaffirmed that the Maryland home was their primary residence in mortgage refinancing filings in 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013, despite Schiff being an elected official representing the state of California at the same time.
Fox News obtained a copy of the 2011 affidavit showing Schiff signed certifying that the Maryland house is his primary residence.
Pulte said Schiff and his wife did not list the Maryland home as their secondary residence until 2020.
Over the same time frame, Schiff took a homeowner’s tax exemption on a condo that he owns in Burbank, California, also claiming that home as his primary residence for a $7,000 reduction off of the 1% property tax, Pulte wrote, citing media reports.
In 2023, the letter notes, a spokesperson for Schiff asserted that "Adam’s primary residence is Burbank, California, and will remain so when he wins the Senate seat."
"Primary residence mortgages receive more favorable loan terms, including lower interest rates, than secondary residence mortgages," the letter said. "Lenders view secondary residence mortgages as significantly riskier, as a borrower is more likely to continue paying off a primary residence mortgage during any financial hardship. Interest rates on secondary residence mortgages are typically between 0.25-0.50% higher than their primary residence counterparts; however, this gap can widen depending on the lender."
The federal housing official wrote that he believes Schiff's alleged misconduct could be violations of federal criminal codes banning wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud and false statements to financial institutions.
Schiff "appears to have falsified records in order to receive favorable loan terms, and also appears to have been aware of the financial benefits of a primary residence mortgage when compared to a secondary residence mortgage," Pulte wrote.
According to the letter, a spokesperson for Schiff in 2023 told CNN that, "Adam’s California and Maryland addresses have been listed as primary residences for loan purposes because they are both occupied throughout the year and to distinguish them from a vacation property."

[ColonelCassad] The aid plans announced by Trump turned out to be very discouraging for the European satellites of the USA, despite the initial apparent satisfaction.
If announced 17 Patriot air defense systems are NATO air defense systems already in service in Germany and a number of other countries, which must be transferred to Ukraine and compensated for by the purchase of new air defense systems of this type and batches of missiles from the United States.
At the same time, the cost of air defense systems and their missiles has been steadily increasing in recent years due to the increased demand for various air defense systems. In fact, the USA is putting European satellites in front of the fact: they need not only to increase defense spending to 5% of GDP (in Europe, this has been extended to 2035), but also to additionally increase spending on financing Ukraine, giving the American industrial complex (and primarily the Raytheon corporation) the opportunity to withdraw an additional margin from these supplies.
There is no longer any question of an equal contribution by the US and Europe — the Trump administration offers Europe to almost completely outsource the financing of the war in Ukraine, while the US reorients itself to the confrontation with the PRC. Therefore, it is not surprising that a number of NATO countries have already officially refused to participate in this scheme.
France and Italy said their "no", directly indicating that there is no money for this, and these states do not want to collect additional loans. It is possible to expect that a few more countries will refuse to participate in this, although Britain, a number of Scandinavian countries, Poland and the Baltic States will most likely purchase weapons for Ukraine even on credit, since the funds from the national budgets will not be sufficient.
The bifurcation point in this issue will be the fate of the tariff war between the USA and the EU. If a compromise option is not reached and Trump imposes 30% tariffs on goods from the EU from August 1, and Europe responds, then the scheme of arms sales to Europe may be called into question.
Trump intends to seek concessions from Europe both on the issue of tariffs and on the issue of transferring the financing of the war in Ukraine to the Old World. Europe would like to avoid this, but economic problems and general political, economic and military dependence on the USA make its position in negotiations with Trump obviously weaker.
However, it should be remembered that these disagreements within the Western camp are of a tactical and methodological nature. The West basically remains united on the issue of "deterring Russia", so there is no need to ask for unnecessary illusions on the topic of stopping the supply of weapons to Ukraine. It's just that the USA optimizes this question in their interests, and the costs of Europe and Ukraine do not worry them too much.
[REDSTATE] The U.S. Department of Homeland Security deported several illegal immigrants, including those convicted of serious crimes like murder and child rape, to a tiny land-locked nation in southern Africa.
DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin announced the move in an X post late Tuesday.
"A safe third country deportation flight to Eswatini in Southern Africa has landed— This flight took individuals so uniquely barbaric that their home countries refused to take them back," she wrote. "These depraved monsters have been terrorizing American communities, but thanks to [President Trump] (and) [DHS Secretary Kristi Noem], they are off of American soil."
Have fun in *checks notes* Eswatini, gentleman. Be sure to send a postcard when you get there.
What makes these individuals "uniquely barbaric"? Fox News National Correspondent Bill Melugin reports that some of the individuals aboard the deportation flight were "egregious criminal illegal aliens, including three convicted murderers and a convicted child rapist."
The five highlighted individuals hail from the nations of Cuba, Jamaica, Laos, Vietnam and Yemen.
Now, they can enjoy the high crime rate, insular governance, and underdeveloped infrastructure of Eswatini, all of which contribute to limited contact with the outside world.
[POWERLINEBLOG] Jill Abramson is the former executive editor of the New York Times. She now teaches journalism at Northeastern University and is a contributing opinion columnist for the Boston Globe. Yesterday the Globe carried her column on the Washington Free Beacon under the headline ''The conservative weapon bringing down university presidents and law reviews.'' Subhead: ''The Washington Free Beacon is publishing scoops that have left blood on the floor at Harvard, Columbia, Stanford, Duke, and other prestigious corners of academia.'' The Globe has posted the column behind its paywall, but it can be accessed here on Press Reader. My daughter Eliana is editor-in-chief of the Free Beacon.
Abramson's column reads like a Free Beacon greatest hits collection. It has a lot of them. The hits keep on coming and the column is entertaining. Abramson apparently spoke with Free Beacon reporter Aaron Sibarium, who has written several of the greatest hits, and quotes him in the column.
Abramson is a classic media lefty with self-awareness asymptotically approaching negative territory. The Free Beacon seeks to report on the left and on Democrats like the mainstream press does on Republicans, but, in my opinion, with a higher standard of accuracy and fairness. Searching for analogues, however, the best Abramson can do is David Brock's reporting on the Clintons in days of old at the American Spectator:
Combat journalism is really nothing new. When Bill Clinton entered the White House in 1992, the conservative magazine The American Spectator was lying in wait. Funded by a wealthy conservative, the late Richard Mellon Scaife, the Spectator pelted Clinton with salacious stories. The Sibarium of the Spectator was David Brock, who wrote articles about Clinton's sexual escapades (one of his stories provoked Paula Jones to sue Clinton, a lawsuit that ultimately got him disbarred for lying). Brock later disowned some of his own stories.
This is Abramson on the current media environment:
What's different now is how large and influential conservative media have become. There is no equivalent on the left, although President Trump says the entire mainstream media has a liberal bias. Sibarium's stories have impact, in part because they are picked up by the mainstream press almost immediately. His stories sometimes trigger federal investigations.
''There is no equivalent on the left'' is laugh- out-loud material. In the interest of fairness, she cites President Trump with an opinion to the contrary. It won't go far with the Globe's readership. Classic!
The New York Times, the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, the Star Tribune and its peers in cities around the United States, the Atlantic magazine, every broadcast network and all but one cable news network — the entirety of the ''mainstream media'' seek to take down Republicans and conservatives every day.
Indeed, they seek to do so by means fair or foul with virtually infinite resources and with the support of a huge leftist nonprofit infrastructure. The Free Beacon has no equivalent on the left doing what it does on a skinny budget and a small stuff. However, Abramson's assessment of the media terrain is an unintentionally self-satirizing joke.
The Druze number around 1.2 million people, with the majority living in Syria (about 700,000), followed by Lebanon (approximately 300,000), and around 150,000 in Israel.

… do not recognize Muhammad as a prophet, and they believe that Al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah was God incarnate who disappeared and will return. Because of these beliefs, many Muslims consider the Druze to be kuffar (unbelievers) who should be eliminated.
The Druze faith originated in Egypt but quickly came under threat, forcing its followers to flee and settle in the mountains of Syria, Lebanon, and later Israel. Even today, they face the threat of extinction, as radical groups continue to view them as infidels who must either convert—or be killed.

Israel warns Syria, reinforces military presence on border as 248 Druze in Sweida confirmed killed
[Ynet] Israel has issued another warning to the Syrian regime and reinforced its military presence along the northern border as tensions continue to escalate over the deadly crackdown on Druze civilians in Syria’s Sweida province. Speak to me again about the new moderate (USDOS beloved) Syrian regime. According to the latest figures, 248 Druze have been killed since the outbreak of violence, which peaked when forces loyal to President Ahmad al-Sharaa (also known as Abu Mohammad al-Julani) entered Sweida — marking their first presence there since the fall of the Assad regime.
Starting Tuesday, the IDF deployed reinforcements to the Syrian border, including a company of Golani infantry cadets, three Border Police companies, and military police units. The move is aimed at addressing potential border protests like the one seen Monday in Majdal Shams, and not counterterrorism scenarios. The IDF requested additional police reinforcements for the area but has not yet received them.
Northern Command expects more demonstrations and attempts to breach the border fence by Druze citizens from northern Israel. The army has updated protocols following a widely circulated video showing soldiers passively observing as dozens of Druze from Israel breached the fence and crossed toward the Syrian village of Khader to reach family members. Nobody in the IDF is going to use force on Druze - most of whom are IDF veterans. Overnight reports indicated renewed attacks in Sweida. In response, Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that Israel will escalate its military action if Syrian forces do not withdraw.
"The Syrian regime must leave the Druze in Sweida alone and pull back its forces," he said. "As we’ve made clear, Israel will not abandon the Druze in Syria and will enforce the demilitarization policy we’ve adopted. The IDF will continue striking regime forces until they retreat from the area and will soon raise the level of its responses if the message is not understood."
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio ...The diminutive 13-year-old Republican U.S. Senator from Florida, Secretary of State in the second Trump administration... said Wednesday that Washington hoped within hours to ease tensions in Syria, as the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... , United Nations ...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks... and regional powers called on Israel to cease its strikes on government targets and regime loyalists clashing with Syrian Druze.
"In the next few hours, we hope to see some real progress to end what you’ve been seeing over the last couple of hours," Rubio told news hounds in the Oval Office as US President Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... nodded.
Trump and Israel have sought to normalize relations agreements between Israel and the regime of interim Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, head of the former al-Qaeda affiliate that toppled long-time Syrian leader Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Horror of Homs... in December.
The violence in Sweida, a majority-Druze city in Syria’s south, appeared to throw a wrench in the normalization efforts, as the IDF struck targets including the Syrian army headquarters and presidential palace in what Israel said was a warning to leave the Druze alone.
"We’ve been engaged with them all morning long and all night long — with both sides — and we think we’re on our way toward a real deescalation and then hopefully get back on track and helping Syria build the country and arriving at a situation in the Middle East that is far more stable," he said.
US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said that the United States was asking Syrian government forces to pull out of the flashpoint area.
According to a US official cited by the Axios news site, the Trump administration asked Israel on Wednesday to halt its strikes and engage in dialogue with Damascus. It was the second such request in as many days, with Monday’s apparently having fallen on deaf ears.
However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome... Bruce declined to comment on whether the United States wanted Israel to stop its strikes.
Syrian government forces entered Sweida on Tuesday with the stated aim of overseeing a ceasefire agreed on with Druze community leaders after festivities with local Bedouin tribes left more than 100 people dead.
However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome... witnesses reported that the government forces joined with the Bedouins in attacking Druze fighters and civilians in a bloody rampage through the city.
In total, there were some 350 dead as of early Thursday, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a London-based war monitor.
In total, there were some 350 dead as of early Thursday, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a London-based war monitor.
Amid the violence, the IDF said it struck over 160 targets in Syria, mostly in the area of Sweida, including government tanks and machine guns headed there. The military also said it was bolstering forces in the Golan Heights, on the Syrian border, in preparation for days of potential conflict.
Meanwhile,
...back at the railroad tracks, Little Nell tried to kick her bound feet and scream post the snotty handkerchief Scarface Al had stuff into her mouth... hundreds of Druze rushed across the border from Israel on Wednesday, vowing to protect their community in Syria. The IDF said the number of Israeli civilians in Syria was roughly 1,000 and that troops were working to bring them back.
Syria announced it had begun withdrawing its army from Druze-majority Sweida city on Wednesday night after agreeing to a new ceasefire that it said would bring a complete halt to its military operations there, even as some Druze leaders rejected the arrangement and Israel vowed to protect the minority.
The announcement came after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said parties to the sectarian conflict that has raged since the weekend “have agreed on specific steps” for a truce. A previous truce announced Tuesday appeared to have little effect on the ground in the southern region, where more than 300 people have been killed, according to a monitor.
According to the text of the new ceasefire agreement, published by Syria’s interior ministry, there will be a “total and immediate halt to all military operations,” as well as the formation of a committee comprising government officials and Druze spiritual leaders to supervise its implementation.
The country’s defense ministry later said it had “begun withdrawing from the city of Sweida in implementation of the terms of the adopted agreement after the end of the sweep of the city for outlaw groups.”
The ministry’s statement made no mention of the withdrawal of any other government security forces deployed to the city.
Syria’s President Ahmad al-Sharaa, head of the former al-Qaeda affiliate that toppled the country’s longtime leader Bashar al-Assad in December, condemned the violations and vowed to punish the perpetrators.
“These criminal and illegal actions cannot be accepted under any circumstances, and completely contradict the principles that the Syrian state is built on,” he said in a statement Wednesday.
SYRIAN WITHDRAWAL
In a video carried by Syrian state television, Sheikh Youssef Jarboua, one of Syria’s three main Druze spiritual leaders, read out the 10 points of the ceasefire agreement, which also included “the full integration of the province” of Sweida into the Syrian state.
Until now, Druze areas have been controlled by fighters from the minority community. After Assad’s ouster, some Druze fighters said they were ready to integrate into the new security forces.
The text of the ceasefire indicates that no harm will come to civilians or their property, after witnesses and a monitor reported abuses in recent days including summary executions and looting on the part of government forces and their allies.
It also indicated a joint committee of Druze and the regime would be established to investigate the “crimes and legal violations” that occurred during the events in the area. All detainees arrested during the unrest would be released, according to the agreement as read by Jarboua.
SOHR that since clashes erupted on Sunday, 79 Druze fighters were killed along with 55 civilians, 27 of them in “summary executions by members of the defense and interior ministries,” while 189 defense and interior ministry personnel and 18 Bedouin fighters were also killed. Earlier, the monitor had said the death toll was 300.
According to SOHR, which relies on a network of sources inside Syria, 15 defense and interior ministry personnel were killed in the Israeli strikes in southern Syria. Additionally, Syria’s Health Ministry said that a series of Israeli strikes targeting the army and Defense Ministry headquarters in Damascus earlier Wednesday killed one person and wounded another 18.

He carried a gun while working, and used it to drive off a would-be robber. Even though, as I recall, no one was hurt, the manager objected, so that was that.

[AMERICANTHINKER] Investigative reporter Paul Sperry has uncovered an interesting fact about leftist mayoral candidate, Zohran Mamdani:
BREAKING: Alex Soros has funneled $24 mil to the NYC mayoral campaign of Muslim Zohran Mamdani thru his fundraising arm Working Families, which means Soros' wife HUMA ABEDIN,whose parents are Muslim Brotherhood, "will control the mayor of NY," a lawyer investigating Abedin told me
— Paul Sperry (@paulsperry_) July 12, 2025
The New York Post reported something similar:
Socialist Zohran Mamdani has declared billionaires shouldn't exist, but it's unlikely he'd be the front-runner to become the Big Apple's next mayor if it wasn't for one — far-left kingmaker George Soros, financial records reviewed by The Post show.
...
... in less than a decade, Soros' ultra-woke grant-making network Open Society Foundation has indirectly funneled a combined $37 million to the Working Families Party and at least other nine left-wing groups whose endorsements and get-out-the-vote groundwork played a pivotal role in helping Mamdani upset ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic mayoral primary, the foundation's records show.
So this freak is no maverick. He's not a fresh face, an independent voice, a new political concept. He's a creature of the tired old Soros project, a pawn, a foot soldier in the great Soros quest to dismantle rule of law and create chaos, just as the Soros catspaws have done in virtually all blue cities where Soros-backed district attorneys no longer prosecute crime, and in blue states where Soros-backed secretaries of states preside over elections filled with fraud and long, long delays in counting.
Now the Soros plan is to take mayoralties, the better to finish off cities in ways district attorneys and secretaries of state cannot.
Yet they present this boob as an independent. He's a puppet on some strings.
The New York Post notes the irony of Soros backing a candidate who professes to want no billionaires to exist. But billionaires can always escape the consequences of such demagogues, free as they are to park and move money around the globe. It's always the little guy who takes the consequences of this doggerel against 'the rich' as any Venezuelan can tell you. Under communist regimes, the billionaires exist just fine -- as the nomenklatura ruling the government or else the rootless globalist class of the Klaus Schwab variety.
Sperry notes the additional detail that Huma Abedin, who must be viewing control of the New York City mayor's office with irony given that she almost had it when she was married to Anthony Weiner, and now sees it within reach again, has ties to Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood, as does Mamdani himself. That's an ugly twist, if not the center of the plot.
[PJMEDIA] Newsom certainly has taken to heart the bizarre Democrat strategy of cursing to seem relatable. He did it in nearly every sentence of this interview.
He called Donald Trump ...So far he's been unkillable, and they've tried.... a liar and "son of a b***h" about water for fires, cleaning forests, and the notorious phone call they had, that Newsom said didn't take place.
Newsom called Joe Rogan, who asked Ryan to query Newsom about his horrible COVID response — responsible for convincing Rogan to go to Texas — a ''motherf*****r'' who now has the benefit of 20/20 hindsight to criticize him now. He's a ''g*****n genius now." He continued, "But at the time, none of us knew what we were up against...''
Of course, Rogan was speaking up about Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,'s crackdown on meeting people, closing gyms, shuttering churches, alternative medications, shutting down beaches, and other autocratic government edicts DURING COVID. Newsom blamed Trump and local governments for his state's bad decisions during COVID. He was, however, the governor and did little to lead.
I'm reminded of my colleague Chris Queen's homage to Pastor John MacArthur's home-going. That dude was sued, bullied, raided, threatened, and ordered to stop meeting for church in person. The county threatened to cut off the church's utilities if he didn't shut it down. He stayed open. That happened in Gavin Governor Hair Gel Newsom ...mayor of San Franciscoas it transformed itself into Poopville, currently governor of Californiaas it transforms itself into Cinderland... 's California.
Gavin Newsom laughed at him. He lifted no finger to help keep churches open. Pot shops were open, but churches were not. If you don't know that's wrong based on First Principles, then you don't deserve higher office. Trump's instincts were better than any experts. He was wrong to capitulate to them, it's true.
Newsom said he'd convened a blue ribbon panel of experts to find out what they did wrong. He says the report was started six months ago and is due any day now. Eyeroll.
There was much more in the interview, but there's only so much retconning a girl can take in one sitting. I'll write more in this week's West Coast, Messed Coast%u2122 report.

Good. The less the Houthis have, the less trouble they can make.
[APNEWS] Fighters allied to Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... 's exiled government claimed Wednesday they had seized 750 tons of Iranian-supplied missiles and weaponry bound for the country's Iran's Houthi sock puppets ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... rebels, the latest interdiction of arms in the country's decadelong war allegedly tied to Tehran.
For years, the U.S. Navy and other Western naval forces have seized Iranian arms being sent to the Houthis, who have held Yemen's capital since 2014 and have been attacking ships in the Red Sea over the Israel-Hamas ..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... war.
The seizure announced Wednesday, however, marked the first major interdiction conducted by the National Resistance® Force, a group of fighters allied to Tariq Saleh, a nephew of Yemen's late strongman leader former President-for-Life Ali Abdullah Saleh ... Saleh initially took power as a strongman of North Yemen in 1977, when disco was in flower, but he didn't invite Donna Summer to the inauguration and Blondie couldn't make it. He was eventually tossed from office and the Hadi goverment installed. When the Houthis rebeled he and his multiple son thought he could claw back to power. Then he saw the way the land actually lay and struck out on his own, briefly, until the Houthis caught him at a checkpoint and murdered him. It was all very sad.... The Houthis and Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... did not immediately acknowledge the seizure, which the National Resistance® Force said happened in late June.
A short video package released by the force appeared to show anti-ship missiles, the same kinds used in the Houthis' recent attacks that sank two ships in the Red Sea, killing at least four people as others remain missing.
The footage also appeared to show Iranian-made Type 358 anti-aircraft missiles. The Houthis claim they downed 26 U.S. MQ-9 drones over the past decade of the Yemen war, likely with those missiles. The majority of those losses having been acknowledged by the U.S. military.
The footage also appeared to show drone components, warheads and other weapons. The force said it would release a detailed statement in the coming hours.
Iran denies arming the rebels, though Tehran-manufactured weaponry has been found on the battlefield and in sea shipments heading to Yemen for the Shiite Houthi rebels despite a United Nations ...where theory meets practice and practice loses... arms embargo.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
