Either way, Judiciary Chairman Dick Durbin, D-Ill. and ranking minority member Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, will meet with Biden at White House today to go over potential nominees for the grilling seat.

Note, CNN likes the odds of:
DC Circuit Court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson,
California Supreme Court Justice Leondra Kruger,
and South Carolina US District Court Judge J. Michelle Childs.

BTW: Remember the media and Odd's makers got Kavanaugh's outcome wrong several times before the final round.

#1  ...I'm going with Judge Childs - she's REP James Clyburn's personal pick. He's the next Congresscritter over from my district; and it's generally accepted that his efforts to save Biden in the 2020 SC primary may well have saved his campaign. If Biden wants to nominate somebody else, that's fine...but REP Clyburn is one of those fellas with a loooooooooooooooong memory.

#2  And now John Solomon reveals that both Victoria Nuland and Ambassador Pyatt actually PRAISED the Ukrainian prosecutor, in two glowing letters recounting their pleasure with his anti-corruption efforts, just months before The Big Guy maneuvered to get him fired:

Biden Boomerang: Newly released State memos undercut Democrats' Ukraine impeachment story
...State Department officials told Ukraine prosecutor they were "impressed" with his work shortly before Biden forced his firing.

Why? Because just after Nuland & Pyatt's letters were sent, The NY Times broke a big story that this prosecutor was investigating Hunter Biden's colleagues at the corrupt circus known as Burisma.

IOW, everything that skank Pelosi and idiot Biden and their colleagues said in their impeachment farce was ACTUALLY true -- about Biden. And totally false wrt to Trump. On top of which, they withheld this evidence of Trump's innocence from Cobgress - a blatant violation of the Brady Act, per Dershowitz.

Most Corrupt Era in Modern US History. And now this staggeringly corrupt senile muppet is trying to drag us into a war. For his shithole grift-factory, Ukraine.

#3  Fvcking liars, all of them.

John Solomon revealed all this in 2019 and 2020. Pelosi and her fellow Congress-whores quashed this evidence.

Here's Solomon, also quoting the Ukrainian prosecutor Shokin:

Shokin told this reporter in 2019 and 2020 that State Department officials gave no inkling to him that he was doing a bad job and in fact had praised him in the summer of 2015. He said he suddenly was whipsawed in September 2015 when Pyatt, the U.S. ambassador, gave a speech in Odessa criticizing his office for not pursuing the corruption case against Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky.

Shokin said his team was, in fact, investigating Burisma at the time and took several steps publicly to demonstrate that, including fighting an effort by Zlochevsky to unfreeze assets that had been seized by Ukrainian officials.

He said the U.S. officials began pressuring his boss, Poroshenko, to fire the prosecutor after the New York Times story surfaced about Hunter Biden in December 2015. Shokin said U.S. officials never offered any proof to Poroshenko that he committed any wrongdoing.

In a court declaration filed in 2019 in an unrelated case involving the oligarch Dmitri Firtash, Shokin declared he believed he was fired for pursuing Burisma because it angered the Biden family.

"The truth is that I was forced out because I was leading a wide-ranging corruption probe into Burisma Holdings, a natural gas firm active in Ukraine, and Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, was a member of the Board of Directors," Shokin said in the affidavit.

Family of Kansas woman who allegedly joined ISIS wants nothing to do with her
[FoxNews] The family of a Kansas woman accused of joining ISIS and training an all-female unit in Syria wants nothing to do with her, prosecutors said.

Allison Fluke-Ekren, 42, made her initial appearance Monday in U.S. District Court in Alexandria. Prosecutors say that the alleged jihadist, who is charged with providing material support to a terrorist organization, tried to recruit operatives to attack a U.S. college campus and shopping mall.

Fluke-Ekren allegedly became the leader of an ISIS unit called "Khatiba Nusaybah" in the Syrian city of Raqqa in late 2016.

First Assistant U.S. Attorney Raj Parekh told the judge that he had been in communication with Fluke-Ekren's parents and adult children,
What adult children? As far as we know, there are only the four with her first husband, Mr. Ekren the sniper, that they took with them to ISIS in Syria, and the child of their jacket wallah friends that she took in...
and they all said they wanted no contact with her.

Magistrate Judge Ivan Davis said he could not prevent her from reaching out to them from jail.

Fluke-Ekren, wearing an inmate jumpsuit and headscarf, said she understood the request. She's due back in court on Thursday for a detention hearing.

If convicted, Fluke-Ekren faces up to 20 years in prison. Her lawyer declined to comment.

Iran shifts centrifuge work away from site allegedly struck by Israel — UN watchdog
[IsraelTimes] European diplomat says centrifuge plant at Karaj has been moved to ’better protected’ facility in Isfahan; IAEA says cameras installed at new site

Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites....
has informed the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency it has stopped production at one of its nuclear facilities attacked last June and transferred work to another site, the watchdog said Monday.

The move responded to a "security concern" following the attack, with the new site "better protected," a European diplomat told AFP.

The TESA complex in Karaj, which is near the capital Tehran, hosted a workshop to build components for centrifuges, machines used to enrich uranium.

Iran said cameras at the site were damaged on June 23, 2021 during what it called an Israeli "sabotage" operation.
OR, it was damaged by the Iranians. Why would the Juice want to disable surveillance?
In the aftermath, the Vienna-based IAEA said it did not receive permission to gain access and replace the surveillance equipment damaged in the attack.

The two parties finally struck an agreement in December and new cameras were installed.

However,
the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits...
IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said "Iran had informed the Agency on 19 January that it intended to produce centrifuge rotor tubes and bellows at a new location in Isfahan," according to the UN watchdog.

It said "the Agency could adjust its surveillance and monitoring measures accordingly."

"A few days later, Agency inspectors applied seals on all the relevant machines in the Karaj workshop, placed them under containment and then removed the surveillance cameras installed there," it said.

"As a result, the production of centrifuge rotor tubes and bellows at the Karaj workshop had ceased," it added.

Then on January 24 IAEA inspectors set up cameras at a site in Isfahan "to ensure the machines intended for the production of centrifuge rotor tubes and bellows were under monitoring," it said.

It added that the production of the centrifuge equipment at the new workshop had yet to begin.

Iran has sharply accelerated its nuclear activities in the years since then-US president Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
withdrew from the 2015 international nuclear deal and imposed sweeping sanctions on Tehran.

The 2015 deal — struck between Iran and the United States (under president Barack Obama
How much damage could he do in four years?... Eight, then...
), Germany, La Belle France, Britannia, China and Russia — offered Iran drastic relief from international sanctions in return for draconian curbs on its nuclear program.

After US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...
entered the White House just over a year ago, talks to revive the nuclear deal began in April 2021 in Vienna.

But they stopped for several months as the Islamic Theocratic Republic elected a new ultraconservative government.

The talks finally resumed in late November and are now in their final phase that requires political decisions, according to parties involved in the talks.

Hamas said hunting for fugitive ‘Israeli agent’ after jailbreak

It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip over the weekend in search of a man who beat feet from a maximum-security prison, Paleostinian media reported Sunday.

The runaway was identified as 35-year-old Abed Alkrim Abu Ouda, who served as a member of Hamas’s military wing before he was arrested by the terror group in 2019 on suspicion of mapping underground tunnels with a tracking device he allegedly received from his Israeli handlers.

It was not clear how Abu Ouda, who was being held in the Ansar Prison, managed to escape.

Hamas has arrested a number of suspects on suspicion of helping Abu Ouda, according to Paleostinian media.

Authorities also set up checkpoints and deployed dozens of security officers in several parts of the Gaza Strip, especially near the border with Israel.

The terrorist group even postponed all fishing activities for several hours on Saturday out of fear he would escape the Strip via the sea.

According to some Paleostinian media outlets, Abu Ouda managed to cross into Israel.

While the IDF did report over the weekend that an individual had tried to cross the border fence, there was no indication that person was Abu Ouda.

Russian signal jammers accused again of interfering with flights entering Israel
[IsraelTimes] Airplanes flying into Israel from the west are again experiencing problems, due to a signal spoofing system installed by Russia in Syria, Israel’s Kan news outlet reports.

According to the report, pilots began having issues a few weeks ago, and Israel has sent a message to Moscow informing it that the system is interfering with its civilian airspace, but Russia has insisted the system is needed to protect its soldiers.

The interference with the airplanes’ GPS reception appears to stem from a form of electronic warfare known as "spoofing," which Russia has been accused of doing in the past as a defensive measure, despite the disruptions it causes to nearby aircraft and ships.

According to the report, the issue is related to a signal jammer installed at Hmeimem air base in Latakia, close to where some alleged Israeli air strikes have taken place recently. However,
there's no worse danger than telling a mother her baby is ugly...
officials reportedly believe the jamming to be aimed at other targets, with Israel just collateral damage.

One pilot tells the station that the spoofing has caused pilots to have to react suddenly, such as when a plane’s GPS guidance system tells it is in a different place than it is, or that it suddenly has to pull up immediately.

"What we’ve run into is [electromagnetic] spectrum interference from the east, which has taken us a while to understand what it is," the pilot says.

Even before the report on the jamming, some had taken notice of odd behavior by Israeli planes nearing Israel.

In 2019, Israel civil air authorities complained publicly that similar Russian interference was having a "significant impact on all aspects of operating a plane from the cockpit, as well as on managing air traffic."

Russia dismissed the allegations as fake news, but the problem was dealt with, until recently.

This time, there has been no official confirmation or complaint about the interference.

The pilot charged that officials knew of the problem but were "burying their heads in the sand," rather than issue an official complaint.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Sean Penn: 'Feminized' American men suffering from 'cowardly genes'
[Washington Examiner] Sean Penn believes American men are suffering from "cowardly genes" that have stripped away their masculinity.

In a series of recent interviews, the 61-year-old, two-time Academy Award-winner criticized American culture, saying men are being feminized by it, "surrendering their jeans and putting on a skirt."

"I am in the club that believes that men in American culture have become wildly feminized," Penn said while speaking to i News.

"I don’t think that being a brute or having insensitivity or disrespect for women [has] anything to do with masculinity, or ever did," he said. "But I don’t think that [in order] to be fair to women, we should become them."

The Mystic River actor was asked for clarification regarding his comments in a later interview, in which he said American men seem to find it fashionable and empowering to embrace traditionally feminine attributes.

"I think that men have, in my view, become quite feminized," he said. "I have these very strong women in my life who do not take masculinity as a sign of oppression toward them. There are a lot of, I think, cowardly genes that lead to people surrendering their jeans and putting on a skirt."

Penn has a history of criticizing contemporary culture. In July, he called the idea of cancel culture "ludicrous."

"When we're destroying careers like that, what are we really achieving?" Penn asked. "Or you look at politicians — I give a big nod to anyone that’s willing to enter the public arena who is doing so because they give a damn."

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Revolutionary Guard Kills Gunman in Attack in Southern Iran

Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard killed an unidentified gunman who attacked its intelligence office Monday in southern Iran, near the Pakistani border, the country's state-run IRNA news agency reported.

The report said the attack happened in the town of Saravan, in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan, about 1,360 kilometers (850 miles) southeast of the capital, Tehran. According to the report, a local citizen was also wounded during the shootout.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack and the report did not say whether the attacker acted alone or provide any further details. It said the case is under investigation.

Sistan and Baluchistan, one of the least developed parts of Iran, has been the scene of occasional clashes between Iranian forces and various militant groups. The relationship between the predominantly Sunni residents of the region and Iran's Shiite theocracy has long been fraught.

The province, bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan, is also where a Sunni separatist group affiliated with al-Qaida and known as Jeish al-Adl, or Army of Justice, operates.

Security forces have also clashed with drug traffickers in the province, located along a major smuggling route for Afghan opium and heroin.

In March 2021, an explosion killed one person and wounded three in Saravan.

Last month, the Guard and an armed criminal gang clashed in the province, leaving three Guard members and "at least five bandits" dead in the district of Kourin. And in July, armed bandits shot and killed four Guard members in the province.

Lebanon catches Israeli spy ring operating throughout country- report
[JPost] We've got Juice everywhere!
The spy rings reportedly provided Israel with intelligence on Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in the country.

Lebanese Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi announced on Monday that 17 spy networks working for Israel were caught throughout Lebanon recently, according to Lebanese media.

Earlier on Monday, a report by the Lebanese Al-Akhbar newspaper stated that more than 15 Israeli spy networks with over 35 members had been caught by security forces in Lebanon in the last four weeks.

According to the report, the Information Branch of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces Directorate launched an operation four weeks ago to dismantle the spy networks one by one. The newspaper added that the branch is trying to keep the operation under wraps by claiming that the suspects were arrested for fraud and drug crimes.

Al-Akhbar claimed that "very sensitive" information showed that, in the past two years, Israeli intelligence has succeeded in conducting a number of "remarkable" operations in Lebanon and Syria and possibly in other locations as well.

About five weeks ago, a special officer reported to the Information Branch that he had found a sign of work for an operation, with follow-up finding a connection to Israel. The tip set off the branch's largest-ever operation against Israeli intelligence, with the case involving dozens of people suspected of supplying Israel, directly or indirectly, with or without prior knowledge, with information related to its goals.

The spies were monitoring not just Hezbollah, but also the Palestinian factions in Lebanon, including Hamas. The network had also managed to penetrate into the Information Branch itself and get very close to its leadership, according to Al-Akhbar.

Another spy from southern Lebanon breached Hezbollah, saying that he had been recruited by an organization claiming to be working for the United Nations to collect statistics, studies and polls. The spy had taken part in fighting in Syria.

The Lebanese al-Janoubia news ridiculed Hezbollah for being unable to detect the spies while the Information Branch, which has been criticized by Hezbollah in the past, was able to find the spy ring within Hezbollah.

A Syrian citizen was arrested in Damascus as part of the crackdown on the Israeli intelligence ring as well, according to Al-Akhbar. The Syrian was reportedly monitoring civilian, military and commercial sites and providing maps from within the Syrian capital, but was not aware he was working with Israel.

A number of workers in NGOs in Lebanon were also found to be part of the ring.

The report additionally claimed that the cell was linked to the explosion of a Hamas weapons depot in the Burj al-Shamali refugee camp in southern Lebanon in December.

The spies were communicated with via websites and closed chat rooms, as well as phone calls via Lebanese phone lines, according to the report. The Information Branch reportedly revealed that Israel was using a new method of operation, conducting most of its recruitment of agents through social media, with the motive of many of the agents being money due to the worsening economic crisis in Lebanon.

The agents received payments through money transfer companies with the source of the funds coming from locations in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia.

The suspects came from all sects and a number of nationalities, according to the report, including Sunni, Shi'ite, Druze and Christian Lebanese, Palestinians and Syrians. The networks operated throughout Lebanon.

One detainee, from Tripoli, reportedly stated that he hated Hezbollah and was "ready to do anything against the party," adding that he took the initiative to contact the Israelis. The detainee was reportedly trained to use drones and was even provided with one.

With one of the suspects in Sidon, family members claimed that the charges are "slander," saying that he was in financial distress and was too cowardly to be an agent. “My son, Tafran, is a coward who is afraid of his shadow,” his father told Al-Akhbar.

The Al-Akhbar report added that the Information Branch is expected in the coming hours to provide judicial authorities with investigation records in preparation for referring the detainees to the military court.

Lebanese Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri praised the "qualitative achievement" by the Information Branch in its exposing the spy network.

In October, Turkish media reported that a Mossad network of 15 Arabs, including Palestinians, were caught by Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT).
Courtesy of badanov, Al Arabiya adds:
Al-Akhbar, a newspaper supportive of Lebanon’s powerful Hezbollah movement, reported the busts on Monday, calling it the largest operation against suspected Israeli agents in the country for 13 years.

It said that the ISF’s intelligence unit started the crackdown four weeks ago and had so far detained around 20 people, including Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian nationals -- some of whom were later released.

The al-Akhbar report claimed that at least 12 of the suspects in detention were aware they working for Israel, while the rest believed they were providing information for global companies or nonprofit organizations.
From The Times of Israel:
According to Al-Akhbar, security forces initially uncovered two alleged moles — a senior official in the directorate and a member of Hezbollah who had previously fought in Syria, saying that he had been recruited by an organization claiming to be working for the United Nations.

In Damascus, a man was also arrested for providing maps of roads and buildings in the Syrian capital.

Senior Somali police officer allegedly arrested in Ethiopia
[Garowe] A top security official from the federal government of Somalia has allegedly been arrested in Æthiopia, an incident if confirmed, would be the first officer within the Ottoman Turkish-trained to be detained abroad.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that Ahmed Dirir, the commander of the Haramacad police contingent, a paramilitary within the Somali Police Force, was arrested by Æthiopian intelligence officials on Sunday.

However,
women are made to be loved, not understood...
Garowe Online cannot authoritatively confirm the claims but multiple sources insisted the police boss is being held by authorities in Æthiopia for questioning. Investigations have not been concluded.

It's not clear why Æthiopia would detain the police officer but this is not an isolated incident. Last year, authorities in Djibouti returned a plane carrying former National Intelligence Security Agency [NISA] boss Fahad Yasin to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
after shortly landing at the Airport.

Fahad Yasin, now a national security advisor to outgoing President Mohammed Abdullahi Farmaajo. is a divisive
...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled...
technocrat in Somalia, often accused of meddling in the country's politics. He was returned back after it emerged that he was toxic to electoral deals which were being crafted.

Ahmed Dirir on the other hand has been the head of the paramilitary unit which is accused of extrajudicial killings within Somalia. The officers have been linked to the disappearance and subsequent deaths of politicians, journalists, and civil society members.

The opposition has often accused Farmaajo of using them to settle scores with his opponents, a claim he has repeatedly denied. The officers along with the Gorgor elite forces are trained in Turkey, a friendly nation to Somalia.

For some time now, Turkey has been on the receiving end for training the troops, with the opposition writing to Ankara sometimes back over the troops' role in the destabilization of Somalia. Authorities in Turkey have also refuted the claims previously.

The leader of the Hamza Division eliminated in Aleppo province
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] In the Al-Baba area, unidentified persons eliminated one of the leaders of the Hamza Division,
...one of the paramilitary units the Turks put together to form the Syrian Liberation Front...
Safi al-Ali, one of the main pro-Turkish groups in northern Syria, which has been operating in Syria since 2013. The Hamza Division fighters, in addition to hostilities in Syria, took part in hostilities in Libya and Karabakh.
Ah. The poor shmoes Turkey sent abroad to get them out from underfoot, but consistently forgot to pay...
Judging by the photographs, the car was shot almost point-blank from automatic weapons. So far, no one has claimed responsibility for this liquidation.

MAJOR VERSIONS.
1. Safi al-Ali was eliminated by Kurdish guerrillas operating from Afrin.

2. Safi al-Ali was removed by the Turks themselves due to some of their own reasons for the "rotation" of the leadership of controlled groups.

3. Safi al-Ali was eliminated by agents of the Syrian Mukhabarat operating in the territories occupied by Turkey.

4. Safi al-Ali was part of the internecine struggle of pro-Turkish groups or ISIS militants.

In any case, whoever ends it, a rather significant murder - in recent years he was one of the most senior leaders of the "green factions" oriented towards Turkey.

A leader in the Turkish-backed al-Hamza Division was killed yesterday evening, in an attack carried out by unknown gunmen in the city of al-Bab, east of Aleppo.

Unidentified gunmen directly shot the car of the leader of the Hamza Division, Safi al-Ali, a local source told North Press.

The leader was targeted in front of his house in the Haydariyah neighborhood north of the city, while the attackers fled away, the source added.

Since 2017, al-Bab city has been under the control of the Turkish-backed armed Syrian opposition factions following Operation Euphrates Shield, which was led by Turkey.

Areas under the control of the Turkish-backed factions have been witnessing security chaos accompanied by frequent explosions, in addition to cases of abduction and corruption amid the failure of these factions to maintain security.

On Sunday, Head of the local council of Rajo district, north of Afrin, Khalil Haj Oso, was seriously injured and his 15-year-old child was killed in an IED explosion inside his car in Afrin region, north of Aleppo, northern Syria.

Alleged Israeli airstrike targets sites near Damascus
[JPost] The alleged airstrikes come hours after a ballistic missile launched by Iran-backed Houthis targeted Abu Dhabi

Syrian air defenses were activated in response to an alleged Israeli missile barrage targeting the vicinity of the capital Damascus, state media said early on Monday citing a military source. This is the first alleged Israeli airstrike reported in Syria this year.

The source was quoted as saying that the interception resulted in some material damage.

The missiles were launched from the direction of Riyaq, a Lebanese town east of Beirut, according to the Syrian SANA news agency.

According to the opposition-affiliated Halab Today TV, the strikes targeted sites belonging to the Assad regime near Al-Qutayfah, northeast of Damascus, causing injuries and material damage.

A series of cargo flights on airlines used to transport Iranian weapons traveled between Iran and Syria in recent weeks, according to independent flight trackers.

Israeli strikes early Monday hit a military outpost and weapons depot operated by Hizbullah near the Syrian capital Damascus, a war monitor reported Monday.

"Sites operated by the Lebanese Hizbullah group... in the east Qalamoun region, northeast of Damascus, were hit by Israeli strikes at dawn," the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

The war monitor, which relies on sources inside Syria, said that the attack sparked fires "in military outposts and arms depots belonging to Hizbullah".

The Observatory said there were believed to be casualties but it did not offer a toll.

Asked about Israeli strikes near Damascus, the Israeli army told AFP: "We do not comment on reports in the foreign media."

Official Syrian state media said the attack caused only material damage, without elaborating on its intended target.

"At 3:05 am today, the Israeli enemy carried out an aerial assault with a volley of missiles... targeting some points on the outskirts of Damascus," SANA news agency said.

"Our air defenses responded to the attack and intercepted some" of the missiles, it added.

Gujarat murder case: ATS arrests Muslim cleric
[OneIndia] A Moslem holy man was arrested from Delhi by the Gujarat
...where rioting seems to be a traditional passtime...
Anti Terrorism Squad in connection with murder of a man in Gujarat's Dhandhuka town recently over an alleged objectionable Facebook post that the accused claimed hurt their religious sentiments, an official said, according to news agency PTI.

Kishan Boliya was rubbed out by cycle of violence-borne men on January 25 in retaliation for a Facebook post he had shared on January 6, for which some Moslem community members had filed a police complaint claiming it hurt their religious sentiments.

ATS officials said Maulvi Kamargani Usmani was arrested from Delhi, and he is the second holy man to be held in the case after Mohammad Ayub Javrawala, who was caught from Ahmedabad on Friday.

ATS Superintendent of Police Imtiaz Sheikh told news hounds Shabbir Chopda, who had rubbed out Boliya, was in touch with Usmani through social media platform Instagram, adding that the arrested holy man ran a social organization and instigated youth from the community to take action against those who insult Prophet Mohammad.

Chopda (25) and Imtiaz Pathan (27) were held on Friday along with Javrawala, who instigated the two to commit the crime and also arranged for the murder weapon.

Usmani had directed Chopda to get in touch with Javrawala for action against Boliya, the ATS SP said, adding that the two holy mans were in touch with each other.

The Gujarat ATS began their probe into the case on Saturday.

Five die a minibus ambush in northeast Kenya

Five people were killed Monday when a minibus in northeast Kenya was destroyed by a roadside bomb during an ambush by armed men near the border of Somalia, police said.

The attackers opened fire on the 14-seater vehicle after it ran over the explosive about eight kilometers (five miles) from Mandera town on the Kenya-Somali frontier.

“A General Service Unit patrol team, which was on foot and close to the area, responded and engaged the attackers, who fled towards Somalia border direction,” a police report on the incident said.

The attackers used guns and rocket-propelled grenades during the assault, the report added.

Several passengers survived the attack “with various degrees of injuries.”

The Mandera region is prone to raids over its long and porous land border with Somalia, where the al-Shabaab militant group controls swathes of countryside and central government authority in remote areas is weak.

Other regions bordering Somalia are also susceptible to attacks and Kenyan officials are often quick to blame the militants for assaults on its soil.

Kenya has suffered several deadly attacks by al-Shabaab fighters in retaliation for Nairobi sending troops into Somalia in 2011 as part of an African Union force to oust the extremists.

Kenya is a major contributor of troops to the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).

In 2015, an attack on a university in Garissa, another region sharing a border with Somalia, left 148 people dead, almost all of them students.

Most were shot at point blank range after being identified as Christians.

Last week, a number of diplomatic missions in Nairobi warned of a possible terror attack targeting foreigners in the capital.

The French and German embassies warned of a possible attack within days, while the United States issued a new security alert warning of potential for acts of violence at this time of year in Kenya.

In 2019, al-Shabaab gunmen killed 21 people at an upscale hotel complex in Nairobi, and in 2013 a bloody four-day siege in the capital’s Westgate shopping mall claimed the lives of 67 people.
Garowe adds:
An Improvised Explosive Device [IED] targeting a passenger vehicle left at least 10 people dead on Monday in Mandera, a county located several miles from Nairobi, Kenya's capital and a few kilometers from Somalia.

The morning blast also left several people badly maimed along Arabia-Mandera Highway, which has been a hotspot for al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...

attacks. The exact number of people in the vehicle which was traveling to Mandera town is still unknown.

According to eyewitnesses, the number of casualties may skyrocket due to severe injuries inflicted on some of the occupants. Police said at least eight other passengers were seriously injured in the incident.

Authorities in Kenya suspect that the attack was waged by al-Shabaab snuffies who have been targeting the region. Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Lamu Counties have been major targets of the Somalia-based al-Shabaab krazed killers.

So far, Northwestern regional commissioner George Seda noted, nobody has been arrested in connection with the blast. However,
nothing needs reforming like other people's bad habits...
security forces have been mobilized to pursue the attackers, he added.

Arabia
Target: Burj Khalifa
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] Houthi military propaganda has taken to the topic of attacks on the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai, threatening to destroy the tallest building in the world with drone and ballistic missile attacks. The main leitmotif is that being in this building is no longer safe and Ansar Allah considers the skyscraper as a legitimate military target due to the continued bombing of Yemeni cities.

Also among the stated desired targets are an international airport, Expo Center 2022 and other large buildings in the center of the UAE capital.

In addition to the threats themselves, the Houthis thus seek to inflict indirect economic damage on the UAE, scaring away business.

A video with a drone strike on Burj Khalifa is attached

Plus, do not forget about Abu Dhabi International Airport and other targets.

Yesterday there was a strange explosion at the Dubai Expo, after which the building was evacuated:

(A drone hit is suspected - the UAE denies this).

At night, a ballistic missile was launched at Dubai, which was shot down by the forces of the Dubai air defense center. The destruction of the launcher in Yemen was also announced (but here 50 to 50 - the last time the emirates gave out a truck stop for the destruction of the launcher).

Several citizens have been arrested in the UAE for posting videos of attacks on social media. Military censorship is trying to block any evidence of successful hits on Dubai so as not to give the Houthis additional propaganda material.

The Houthis themselves claim a successful complex operation using drones and missiles. Yesterday's attacks were timed to coincide with the visit of the Israeli President to the UAE and led to a disruption in the departure schedule. Yemeni sources joke that Ansar Allah sent gifts to two "lovers". The Houthis promise to provide more details of the attacks on the UAE during the day.

At night, in retaliation for these attacks, the Emirates and the Saudis again bombed Sanaa. 8 airstrikes reported.

The bombing of Sanaa has been ongoing since 2015. This is to the question of who is to blame for the attacks on Dubai.

PS. And also in Yemen.

1. According to the UN, in 2021, more than 1,500 underage soldiers who fought on the side of the Houthis died on the fronts of the Yemeni war.

2. Houthi air defenses shot down another "Scan Eagle" UAV Already the 7th in recent months:

3. Houthi troops recaptured part of the territory in southern Marib, which they lost in January as a result of the offensive of the emirates' forces. They use the withdrawal of "Amaliki" from the front.

4. It is also worth noting that the Houthis sent a farewell podzhopnik to the forces of the Amalika brigade withdrawn from the front in South Marib, launching a ballistic missile at the area of concentration of forces that were awaiting orders to depart for the southern provinces.

The Grand Turk
How Turkey became ISI’s playground to drum up anti-India narrative
[OneIndia] With India enhancing ties with Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Fifteen of the nineteen WTC hijackers were Saudis, and most major jihadi commanders were Saudis, to include Osama bin Laden. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quietly folded that tent in 2016, doing terrible things to the guys running it, and has since been dragging the kingdom into the current century...
and the United Arab Emirates, Pakistain has turned to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
to drum up anti-India sentiments. The ISI along with Turkey has been influencing Moslems across the world to speak about the Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
issue and project a false narrative of India.

Turkey according to an Intelligence Bureau report has adopted a three pronged approach against India.

They include employing Kashmiri journalists to put out a false narrative, dole out scholarships so that radicalisation can take place at educational institutes and fund NGOs to influence Indian Moslems on foreign policy which is detrimental to India's interests.

An OSINT report by the Disinfo Lab speaks in detail about how a boycott campaign was launched last year September by the Moslem Brüderbund (MB) nexus against India as well as targeting Saudi Arabia and UAE apart from La Belle France.

The campaign was supported by the troll factories of Turkey and Pakistain. It was the first open campaign by MB through the new emerging nexus of Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
-Turkey-Pakistain, dubbed as QTPi. While it had all the characteristics of propaganda, including the liberal use of fake pics and videos, it was not ordinary propaganda.

It appears as a strength test for Moslem Brüderbund, as it put several of the news media from its arsenal to use, including the jewel Al Jazeera, risking their credibility. The sheer resource MB-led QTPi deployed in this fake news-driven propaganda made it abundantly clear that not only Brotherhood has arrived in India, but it also intends to stay, the report said.

An Intelligence Bureau official tells Oneindia that earlier Pakistain used to rely on the UAE and Saudi Arabia to drum up an anti-India narrative. However India's foreign policy has shifted and New Delhi has close allies in Saudi and the UAE, which has made Pakistain shift focus to Turkey, the official also said.

Chuck Schumer Pushes $1.5 Billion for Gun Control
*shrug* Senator Manchin of West Virginia won’t go for it, so it’s toast.
[Breitbart] On Sunday, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) pushed for the federal government to allocate $1.5 billion to fund new gun control actions by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).

The New York Post reported that Schumer wants to use the funds to get the ATF behind the Interstate Task Force on Illegal Guns. The task force is ubiquitously aimed at getting illegal guns off the streets of New York.

Schumer commented his desire to get the ATF involved in the task force, saying, “The ABCs of beating back the scourge of gun violence depends on three federal letters: A, T, and F.”

He added, “I am pushing for $1.5 billion dollars in federal funds for the agency, so they can help with this work and do much more at the national level … Without the $1.5 billion … these plans will not have their full impact, and we need full impact to address the flow of these crime guns in our communities and across our state.”

Schumer’s $1.5 billion gun control push comes after NYPD officer Jason Rivera was shot and killed on January 21, 2022, and NYPD officer Wilbert Mora was shot and fatally wounded in the same attack. FOX News observed that the shooting suspect in the attack was “on probation for a 2003 felony narcotics conviction in New York City.”

New York has some of the most stringent gun controls in the nation, including a gun control that bars felons from possessing firearms.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Israeli-Palestinian peace will not come through Israel - Shtayyeh
[JPost] Say WHAT?
It’s ok. Peace won’t come through the Palestinians, either. Not if they want to survive the year.
PM Naftali Bennett opposes the two-state solution which would require the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Speaking during the weekly meeting of the PA cabinet in Ramallah, he criticized Prime Minister Naftali Bennett for opposing the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Bennett’s remarks were made during an interview last Friday with The Jerusalem Post.

The PA leadership condemned Bennett’s remarks, saying they exposed his "extremist and anti-peace ideology."

Shtayyeh’s
...that’s Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh to you, Bub...
statements on Monday came four weeks after the last meeting between PA President Mahmoud Abbas and Defense Minister Benny Gantz in Rosh Ha’ayin.

Hussein al-Sheikh, a senior Palestinian official who attended the talks, said the meeting "dealt with the importance of creating a horizon that leads to a political solution in accordance with international resolutions."

Last week, Sheikh made a similar statement after meeting in Jerusalem with Foreign Minister Yair Lapid.

"I made it clear to Minister Lapid that it is important to have a political horizon between us and the Israelis," he told Walla news site.
Does that mean anything, or did he just throw some words together?
But Shtayyeh, who is not involved in the direct contacts with Israeli officials, insisted that there is no partner for peace on the Israeli side.

"The statements of the prime minister of the occupation government regarding the rejection of the establishment of the Palestinian state are rejected, and they encourage violence," he said.

Bennett’s statements demonstrate to the world "the extent of extremism and the occupation government’s hostile positions toward peace and political negotiations," Shtayyeh said.

"These statements and positions, as well as the occupation’s measures on the ground, prove that there is no partner on the Israeli side for making peace," he added. "The Bennett government is working systematically to destroy the possibility of establishing the state of Palestine."

Shtayyeh called on the US and European Union countries to intervene urgently to stop Israel from carrying out its plans to "devour more lands of the occupied city of Jerusalem and cut off the geographical continuity between the northern and southern West Bank."

Settlement construction was expanding in Ma’aleh Adumim, on the eastern outskirts of Jerusalem, and the area known as E1 to separate the northern and southern parts of the West Bank, he said.

E1, short for East 1, is an area of 12,000 dunams located between Jerusalem and Ma’aleh Adumim.

Palestinians say Israel's plan to build new housing units in the area would separate the northern and southern West Bank from east Jerusalem. Construction in the area would prevent contiguity between the northern and southern parts of the West Bank, making it impossible to establish a Palestinian state in the future, they say.

Iraq
Iraqi forces kill a prominent ISIS leader

Iraq's Security Media Cell announced that the National Security forces had confirmed that the ISIS “deputy governor of north Baghdad” were killed.

In a statement, the Cell said that the DNA test approved that the body is for Adwan Farhan Jafal, so-called “Sheikh Seif.”

Sheikh Seif was killed by Iraqi airstrikes in Tarmiyah district, along with five other ISIS elements, a week ago.
Rudaw adds:
According to a report published this month by Combating Terrorism Center at West Point, there is little evidence of a significant ISIS resurgence in Iraq, with the militants increasingly isolated from the population.

“The Islamic State’s insurgency in Iraq underwent a steep decline over the last 20 months,” the global security think-tank states. “A comprehensive analysis of attack metrics shows an insurgency that has deteriorated in both the quality of its operations and overall volume of attack activity, which has fallen to its lowest point since 2003.”

Afghanistan
Joint Ministerial Committee Formed to Address Durand Line Issues
[TOLO] A "Fence" you say? How would that be effective?
The Islamic Emirate is forming a joint committee comprised of several ministries to address the problems along the Durand Line, officials said on Monday.

The announcement follows the visit of Pakistan’s National Security Advisor visit to Kabul.

The decision for the formation of the joint committee was made in a meeting chaired by the Second Deputy of Prime Minister, Abdul Salam Hanafi.

"The objective of the joint committee is to resolve the problems along the Durand Line and address the security issues that may potentially occur in the future--or have already happened in the past--these issues should be solved via understanding," said Inamullah Samangani, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate.

A Pakistan delegation led by NSA Moeed Yusuf returned to Islamabad on Sunday evening after holding talks with several officials of the Islamic Emirate in a two-day visit.

The Pakistan Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the objective of the visit was to discuss Pakistan's proposals for deepening economic engagement.

"During the visit, Pakistan offered Afghanistan capacity-building and training support in multiple sectors including Health, Education, Banking, Customs, Railways and Aviation, among others. Both sides also reiterated their commitment to early completion of the three major connectivity projects, CASA- 1000, TAPI, and Trans-Afghan Rail project," the statement read.

"We should have established a committee that works on the removal of fencing. This is an issue that will not be solved via the formation of joint committee. This issue belongs to the decision of Afghans on both sides of the Durand Line," said Ahmad Khan Andar, a political analyst.

The Pakistan military's move to build fencing along the Durand Line has continually sparked reactions from Afghanistan.

Earlier, a video circulating on social media showed the forces of the Islamic Emirate engaged in a dispute with Pakistani militias over the fencing of the Durand Line.

Government Corruption
'Red Handed' - The Great Betrayal
[Breitbart] Breitbart News senior contributor and Government Accountability Institute (GAI) President Peter Schweizer’s latest investigative exposé, Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win, reveals how 23 former U.S. senators and congressman have lobbied for Chinese military or intelligence-linked companies after leaving office.

Many lawmakers cash in after leaving office by becoming lobbyists for corporations and other special interests. But one would hope that they would not become advocates for America’s primary economic and political adversary — communist China — by lobbying for outcomes that run counter to the United States’ long-term interests.

However, Schweizer’s book reveals that many former congressional leaders, committee chairman, and rank-and-file members are lobbying for Chinese intelligence and military-linked companies.

The following 23 former members of Congress — the majority of whom are Republicans — have lobbied for Chinese military or intelligence-linked companies.

Albanian terrorist flag hung at the entrance to the Serbian enclave in Kosovo
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] A flag bearing the coat of arms and the name of the terrorist Kosovo Liberation Army
...an ethnic Albanian separatist militia trained by the CIA that sought the separation of Kosovo, the vast majority of which is inhabited by Albanians, from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and Serbia during the 1990s...
was displayed on January 31 at the entrance to the Serbian enclave of Velika Hoca in Kosovo and Metohija. This was announced by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia.

The report notes that the flag of the terrorist organization was displayed on the fence of the Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist. On the territory of the temple there is a monument to the killed and kidnapped Serbs, which was previously often desecrated by Albanian extremists.

"There is no doubt that we are talking about an open threat to the Serbs who stayed here to live," the RTS TV channel quoted the text of the Chancellery’s message.

The Serbian government recalled that the incident occurred on the day when EU and US representatives Miroslav Lajcak and Gabriel Escobar are visiting Kosovo and Metohija .

Recall that the Serbian village of Velika Hoca is located in southern Metohija, in the municipality of Orahovac. It is one of the Kosovo Serb enclaves. Before the war in the late 1990s, the village had approximately 2,000 inhabitants. Today, together with the municipality of Upper Orahovac, about 750 people live here. The village is under the protection of KFOR ( "Forces for Kosovo" - IA REGNUM ).

Pentagon Spox Kirby: Claims About Wokeness in the Military ‘Ridiculous'
[Breitbart] On this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday, Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said that it was “ridiculous” to claim the U.S. military was too woke.

Anchor Dana Perino asked, “Also, just more back here focusing on some criticism in the U.S. military, that perhaps there’s too much of a leftward tilt, or a wokeness in our military when we face really determined adversaries, committed adversaries in China, Russia, Iran, who maybe don’t have those same kinds of pressures. How do you respond to those criticisms?”

Kirby said, “I think a lot of it, quite frankly, is driving a stake through a straw man here. This argument of wokeness in the military, I was in the military for 30 years, and I can tell you things like diversity and inclusion, that makes us a better military because it brings to the fore, in the decision-making, operational decision-making, that we conduct better ideas, more unique perspectives. Somebody else’s lived experiences which might actually make us smarter on the battlefield.”
Bullshit Word Salad
He added, “So those kinds of arguments — I think are ridiculous. because we are stronger military because of our diversity, and because we represent all Americans, just like we defend all Americans.”

Viewing the US Army as a "conquering army" is the entire problem. It's not. It's for the defense of the USA. But - decades of neoconservatism and globalism have changed people's perceptions, especially in DC, and they do view the army's role as invading and conquering new territory. Much like Mussolini regarded his army.

Biden administration RESCINDS deportation of Mexican illegal immigrant who crashed into and killed a 19-year-old woman while drunk as part of their bid to reduce the number of removals
[MAIL] An illegal immigrant accused of killing a woman in a hit-and-run car crash in Texas in November 2020 is no longer facing deportation after Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas changed rules to lower the number of removals.

Heriberto Fuerte-Padilla was driving drunk in November 2020 when he caused a car crash, killing 19-year-old Adrienne Sophia. The accused tried to flee the scene but was caught by police.

While the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) initially wanted authorities to deport Fuerte-Padilla after Texas issued its punishment, the federal agency changed its mind because the individual does not qualify for priority deportation under Mayorkas' new rules issued in September 2021.

Under Mayorkas' recently updated rules, according to The Washington Times, many deportation requests were canceled for illegal immigrants who are accused, charged, pleaded guilty to felony charges of evading arrest or even those who have already been convicted of drunk driving, drug possession or domestic assault.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) told Texas that these detainers – or requests for deportation – are no longer considered 'priority lifts', indicating they aren't seen as important targets under Mayorkas' rules.

Nolte: Fifty Per Cent Support Impeaching Joe Biden
[Breitbart] One of the most accurate pollsters of the last 20 years released a bombshell poll Monday that shows 50 percent of voters want to see His Fraudulency Joe Biden impeached. Only 45 percent say they disagree.

This includes 50 percent of black voters who want to see Biden impeached.

"Half of voters believe President Joe Biden should be impeached, and nearly as many think Republicans will do it if they win a congressional majority in the midterm elections," says Rasmussen Reports.

"A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports and The National Pulse finds that 50% of Likely U.S. voters support the impeachment of Biden, including 33% who Strongly Support it."

Rasmussen adds, "Forty-five percent (45%) are opposed to impeaching Biden, including 33% who Strongly Oppose it."

Are you ready for this...? Thirty-four (34 percent) of Democrats support impeaching Biden, as do 50 percent (not a typo) of black voters.

Herdsmen Gang-rape, Kill Housewife In Ondo Community

A fruit seller, Roseline Joguntan has been gang-raped and murdered on her farm by suspected Fulani herdsmen at Igbokoda in the Ilaje council area of Ondo State.

Vanguard reports that the culprits took advantage of the victim when she was alone on the farm.

According to the report, the deceased went to the farm alongside her daughter to gather fruits for her business and had instructed the child to take the fruits home.

A source was quoted as saying, “After gathering the first basket of the fruits, she told her child to take it home. It was when the girl came back that she noticed that her mother was missing before she later found her dead in the bush.

“The deceased husband, Mr Joguntan reported the case at the police station.”

Some of the residents alleged that the Fulani herdsmen who have dominated the community in the recent past gang-raped and killed her.

According to one of the residents “no sooner had the incident happened than some herdsmen were seen vacating the town en masse.”

The researchers, led by Steve Hanke, the co-founder of The Johns Hopkins Institute for Applied Economics, Global Health, and the Study of Business Enterprise, screened 18,590 studies to select the 24 papers used for the final analysis.

Europe
Green European Future
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] Mania-fantasies of the European "greens" on the topic of reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere by reducing consumption.

GREEN EUROPEAN FUTURE
On the topic of the green transition, what awaits those who like to go to rallies and wave flags there: "So, every European who respects the so-called" green agenda "by 2050 must learn to emit no more than 2.9 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere per year (such a norm To do this, he will have to comply with strict rules.

IN THE FIELD OF NUTRITION AND HYGIENE:
- take a shower no more than 3 times a week, the duration of each of these procedures should not exceed 8 minutes;

- run the washing machine no more than 2 times a week and no more than 1 hour;

- eat chicken meat 2 times a week, 100 grams, which is 10.4 kg per year;

- reduce cheese consumption - no more than 1 time per week, and only 25 grams (1 .3 kg per year);

- but coffee will have to be abandoned completely and forever.

IN THE FIELD OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION, SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT:
- classes on the treadmill in the gym are allowed no more than 3 times a week for 30 minutes each;

- watching TV or using the Internet - 2 hours a day;

- computer/video games will be prohibited. According to various sources, one PC emits 452 kg of CO₂ every year when playing high-intensity rpg shooters and other tank games. Using the PS4 Pro console does not fundamentally solve the problem, because in this case 163 kg of carbon dioxide is released (by one user, of course).

NEW CLOTHES:
- during the year, everyone is allowed to purchase 2 pairs of jeans and 3 shirts.

TRAVELS:
- no more than 1 air flight per year in economy class;

- the total distance traveled per year on electric transport - no more than 5,000 km.

The Treeprint team also advises humanity to stop eating red meat (lamb, beef and pork) altogether. Switching from meat to plant-based diets will have a beneficial effect on the atmosphere: for example, eating a vegetarian bolognese instead of steak fries (beef and potatoes) will lead to a 94% reduction in emissions. And white tea is 87% better for the environment than latte. You will also have to give up beer and stronger drinks."

Iraqi Military Intelligence foils a suicide bombing in al-Anbar

The Iraqi military thwarted what the Security Media Cell (SMC) said on Monday was an attempted suicide bombing in al-Rutba district in the far west of al-Anbar.

"Accurate input by the intelligence department of the fifth division shed light upon an ISIS plot to carry out a bombing attack in al-Rutba," SMC said, "further follow up revealed that the suicide bomber transferred the supplies to the vicinity of Saad airbase."

"Under the command of the division's intelligence chief, a force from the reconnaissance company and the third regiment of the 19th brigade conducted an extensive search campaign in the vicinity of the airbase and was able to locate the hideout."

The security forces seized an explosive vest, four hand grenades, two projectiles, an explosive device, and other equipment.

"The seized material was detonated under controlled conditions by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal squads," SMC said.

Afghanistan
U.N. Says Over 100 Ex-Afghan Forces, Officials Slain since August

The United Nations has received "credible allegations" that more than 100 former members of the Afghan government, its security forces and those who worked with international troops have been killed since the Taliban took over the country Aug. 15, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres says.

In a report, Guterres said that "more than two-thirds" of the victims were alleged to result from extrajudicial killings by the Taliban or its affiliates, despite the Taliban's announcement of "general amnesties" for those affiliated with the former government and U.S.-led coalition forces.

The U.N. political mission in Afghanistan also received "credible allegations of extrajudicial killings of at least 50 individuals suspected of affiliation with ISIL-KP," the Islamic State extremist group operating in Afghanistan, Guterres said in the report to U.N. Security Council.

He added that despite Taliban assurances, the U.N. political mission has also received credible allegations "of enforced disappearances and other violations impacting the right to life and physical integrity" of former government and coalition members.

Guterres said human rights defenders and media workers also continue "to come under attack, intimidation, harassment, arbitrary arrest, ill-treatment and killings."

Eight civil society activists were killed, including three by the Taliban and three by Islamic State extremists, and 10 were subjected to temporary arrests, beatings and threats by the Taliban, he said. Two journalists were killed — one by IS — and two were injured by unknown armed men.

The secretary-general said the U.N. missions documented 44 cases of temporary arrests, beatings and threats of intimidation, 42 of them by the Taliban.

On a positive note, Guterres reported "a significant decline" in the overall number of conflict-related security incidents as well as civilian casualties since the Taliban takeover. The U.N. recorded 985 security-related incidents between Aug. 19 and Dec. 31, a 91% decrease compared to the same period in 2020, he said.
That’s because most of the security-related incidents were by the Taliban in their drive to take over the country.
The eastern, central, southern and western regions accounted for 75% of all recorded incidents, he said, with Nangarhar, Kabul, Kunar and Kandahar ranking as the most conflict-affected provinces.

Despite the reduction in violence, Guterres said the Taliban face several challenges, including rising attacks against their members.

"Some are attributed to the National Resistance Front comprising some Afghan opposition figures, and those associated with the former government," he said. "These groups have been primarily operating in Panjshir Province and Baghlan's Andarab District but have not made significant territorial inroads" though "armed clashes are regularly documented, along with forced displacement and communication outages."

Guterres said intra-Taliban tensions along ethnic lines and competition over jobs have also resulted in violence, pointing to armed clashes on Nov. 4 between between Taliban forces in Bamyan city.

SDF defuses IEDs in Deir Ezzor, arrests 27 ISIS turbans in Raqqa

On Monday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) defused an improvised explosive device (IED) that was planned to target a school in the town of Dhiban, 50 km east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.

The media center of the Hajin Military Council (affiliated with the SDF) published on its official website that the engineering division of the Hajin Military Council forces managed to defuse an IED.

The bomb, according to the media center, was planned for remote detonation to target a primary school in Latwa neighborhood, in the center of Dhiban town in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

It is noteworthy that the SDF has recently intensified its security operations in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, after the increased attacks of ISIS cells in the area.

Yesterday, the Hajin Military Council announced on its Facebook account the arrest of nine ISIS cells in an SDF security operation in the towns of Abu Hamam and Abu Hardoub, east of Deir ez-Zor.

(ISIS) in Raqqa. Dozens of other people were arrested the previous day for smuggling members of the group out of a prison.

"Our SDF and the Internal Security Forces conducted a security operation targeting the Deash terrorist cells in several villages and squatter camps in the eastern countryside of Raqqa city," the US-allied force said in a statement.

"Our forces raided a number of points in the camps where Deash terrorist cells used to hide and prepare for terrorist operations. As a result of the operation, 27 holy warriors and suspects were arrested and handed over to competent authorities," it added.

The SDF said on Sunday that they arrested 26 people in Deir ez-Zor, accusing them for being “active in smuggling & transferring detainees out of #Ghweran prison.”

Killing of Zahid Wani will leave Jaish-e-Mohammad-demoralised
[OneIndia] On Sunday, the Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
police shot full of holes five bandidos murderous Moslems including top Jaish-e-Mohammad
...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf banned the group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat...
-e-Mohammad commander, Zahid Wani.

The killing of Wani is significant as he was one of the top wanted bandidos murderous Moslems and was leading the outfit in the Valley. He took over as the commander of the JeM following the arrest of Sameer Dar in Srinagar in 2016. Officials tell OneIndia that Wani was key to the JeM as he provided both logistic support and planned attacks.

The security forces have met with plenty of success in the past two years and have managed to gun down scores of bandidos murderous Moslems including top commanders. Wan's presence in the outfit ensured that the outfit was able to recruit and plan major attacks.

The official cited above said that his killing is bound to demoralise the cadres of the JeM. This would mean that the recruitments too would go down drastically. His killing comes in the backdrop of the security forces killing 21 bandidos murderous Moslems in January alone. There have been 11 encounters already this month.

Five bandidos murderous Moslems were shot down in two separate encounters in Jammu and Kashmir. The encounters took place in Pulwama and Budgam. "5 bandidos murderous Moslems of Pakistain sponsored proscribed terror outfits LeT and JeM killed in dual encounters in last 12 hours. JeM commander terrorist Zahid Wani and a Pak terrorist among the killed. Big success for us," a tweet by the J@K police read.

In the Budgam encounter one terrorist was killed and an AK-47 rifle was recovered. In the past month 22 bandidos murderous Moslems have been shot full of holes in nearly one dozen encounters.

‘I Hope They Go to Jail and Get the Book Thrown at Them Because They Deserve It’ – Lindsey Graham and Susan Collins Buck Trump, Vow to Persecute Jan-6ers
[GatewayPundit] Via The Huffington Post.
Republican elected officials sought to distance themselves from a pledge President Donald Trump made over the weekend to pardon those charged in the Jan. 6, 2021 assault on the U.S. Capitol should he run for the White House again and win.

“I think it’s inappropriate,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a Trump ally, said Sunday in an interview with CBS’ “Face The Nation.”

Asked if he believed that Trump’s pledge to offer pardons to rioters could be dangerous, Graham said he did.

“I don’t want to reinforce that defiling the Capitol was okay. I don’t want to do anything that would make this more likely in the future,” the senator said. “I hope they go to jail and get the book thrown at them because they deserve it.”

Care to discuss why an UNARMED person is MURDERED and no charges brought or "official" investigative report released regarding the congressional employed shooter?

Care to discuss why the "victims" seem to have control of the Court proceedings, the bail/housing/treatment process, and isolation of the accused persons?

Yes, there are a lot more issues the Fair-minded citizens still want answers to. But it seems there is NO public access for your voters.

Should the Guilty serve time ... YES!
Should the trial be as PUBLIC as OJ's .... YES!
Should the Public get FULL Access to ALL evidence ...YES!

SMASH Dragon uses the same SMASH 2000 computerized rifle scope Smart Shooter introduced in 2018, but with addition of a new digital camera with zoom that enables the operator to search for and identify targets at longer ranges day or night, or set the system to automatically scan for certain types of targets. Armed with the 7.62mm rifle, SMASH Dragon can hit stationary targets over 300 meters distant with the first shot.

...Israel found that a locally made device, SMASH 2000 could do the job once its software had been modified to handle fire kites, fire balloons and, it turned out, quadcopters.

A service to humanity, indeed.

A resident of Makhachkala is suspected of financing militants
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] A criminal case on the financing of terrorism is being investigated against a 27-year-old resident of Makhachkala, who is suspected of transferring more than 100 thousand rubles for the needs of the Islamic State.

According to investigators, the suspect, while outside of Russia, misled two acquaintances, through whom she transferred more than 100,000 rubles to a Turkish citizen to support the Islamic State.

The suspect was aware that the money was intended for illegal armed groups created in Syria to commit crimes of a terrorist nature, the investigation said today.

As part of the investigation, "measures are being taken to locate and detain the suspect," according to a statement on the website of the Russian Investigative Committee for Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" also wrote that in April 2021, the court found the residents of Dagestan Nurudin Abdurazakov and Rustam Kokeshov guilty of transferring money to militants in Syria. Both received three years in prison.

Why cows may be hiding something but AI can spot it
[BBC] As cow number 2073 makes her way out of the milking shed and passes in front of a nearby camera, the computer identifies her and watches every step.

She is only on screen briefly but here is a slight unevenness to her gait, which she is trying to hide.

A human might not notice that something is wrong but the machine picks it up.

"Really, we want to completely replace any manual watching of animals when the cow sleeps, or she eats," says Terry Canning, co-founder and chief executive of CattleEye.

His firm's technology automatically detects early signs of lameness in cattle. It is confined to milking sheds, for now, but is already being rolled out on dairy farms, mostly in the US and UK. About 20,000 cows are currently under the system's watch.

Simply by looking at buying habit, travel, $$$ to debt ratios, # and type of jobs, relationships, and etc

But, what if a similar AI Technology was applied to Humans walking down the street and/or activities while in buildings (shoplifting). I wonder if it could be used to spot persons with criminal intent, or hostile/emotional persons (Karen's and Daren's)?

#5  Good show, Rob.

The cattle could easily go lame from hoof problems, and possibly just lay down, before the farmer/rancher is suspicious of any problem (especially in larger herds where the cattle aren't physically reviewed every day).

Once a sick/injured cow is down, they many times just don't get back up.

Mali kicks out French ambassador
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad]
  • Mali's military junta officially kicks out the French ambassador.

  • He was given 72 hours to collect his belongings and leave the country.

  • The reason was the statements of the French Foreign Minister, who called the authorities of Mali "illegal" and accused them of doing business with PMC "Wagner".

As a result, in Mali they called the statements of the French outrageous and hostile, after which they pointed to the door.

Mali's state press says it's time for France to be reminded that Mali is not a French prefecture, but a sovereign country that decides how and with whom to do business. France should restrain its colonial reflexes and stop interfering in the affairs of its former colony.

The next step could be a formal demand for the withdrawal of all French troops from the territory of Mali.

The French Defense Ministry has already stated that if the cost of staying troops in Mali becomes too high, they will be withdrawn.

PS. In neighboring Burkina Faso, Russian flags continue to flicker at rallies. In the press associated with the new military junta, it is stated that Russia can become a more profitable partner for the country than the fading colonial empire of France.

Local residents in an interview say that Russian support will allow Burkina Faso to gain full independence from France and put an end to the colonial legacy.

Meanwhile, the junta was appointing Lieutenant Colonel Paul-Henri Damiba as interim president of Burkina Faso. Damiba received his military education in France.

Bomb plot: North Carolina man accused of teaching others how to make IEDS meant for killing law enforcement
[FoxNews] The charges come after a deadly year for law enforcement.

A North Carolina man is facing federal charges for allegedly writing and distributing instruction manuals on how to make bombs – as well as how to booby-trap one’s home to kill the FBI or other law enforcement.

Authorities arrested Christopher Arthur, a 38-year-old from Mount Olive, North Carolina, on Jan. 22 on bomb making and attempted murder charges after a months-long FBI-led sting operation. He was indicted on Jan. 4 and made his first court appearance Monday.

"Law enforcement officers are being feloniously killed in the line of duty at an alarming rate -- 2021 saw the most officers murdered since the 9/11 attacks," FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert Wells said in a statement Monday. "The behavior alleged in this indictment, training someone in methods of how to kill or injure law enforcement, is both serious and frightening."

On May 27, 2020, authorities in New York got into a deadly shootout with a fleeing suspect accused of attempting to organize a militia and attack the U.S. government, according to the Justice Department.

After a police chase and gunfight that left the suspect dead, law enforcement uncovered three improvised explosive devices in the man’s car and more at his home, as well as a stockpile of firearms, the DOJ said.

They also found "tactical instructional manuals" from "Tackleberry Solutions," which Arthur is accused of writing and circulating, according to court documents. The New York suspect’s phone also allegedly linked him to in-person training sessions with Arthur in North Carolina.

An undercover FBI agent requested a PDF document from Tackleberry Solutions, according to the DOJ, and Arthur allegedly hinted that he could share more in-depth information offline.

"On May 5, 2021, Arthur, at Arthur’s residence in Mount Olive, explained how to properly place IEDs through one’s property, the importance of creating a fatal funnel, the setup and use of remote-activated firearms, and how to evade arrest after killing members of law enforcement – all after learning the recipient of the explanation intended to kill federal law enforcement who might come to his home," the DOJ alleged Monday. "At the conclusion, Arthur demonstrated how to make components of IEDs, to include tripwire switches and improvised initiators. Once he was finished demonstrating how to make the components, Arthur provided them to the recipient of his training."

When accessed Monday, the Tackleberry Solutions website’s about section described it as "an educational company that teaches military tactics to the everyday citizen for Civil Defense purposes." It’s supposedly run by a "Kit Arthur" whose stated goal is to "keep you alive and FREE by teaching you how to protect yourself against tyranny." He claims to have served 13 years as a "recon soldier" and three more in law enforcement.
More details at the link.
A search warrant executed at Arthur’s home uncovered IEDs, a striker plate, an electronic trigger and other bomb-making components, according to the DOJ. Authorities also found a stockpile of gunpowder and Tannerite, court documents state.

Arthur faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.

He’s due in federal court in North Carolina on Friday for a detention hearing.

The attorney listed for Arthur declined to comment on the pending case.
