Comedian Heather McDonald fell hard during a show in Tempe, Arizona, but it was no joke ... it was a medical emergency.
Eyewitnesses tell TMZ that the former "Chelsea Lately" star was headlining the sold-out show, when she delivered her second joke: "I'm vaxxed, double vaxxed, boosted ... and flu shot and shingle shot and haven't gotten COVID and Jesus loves me most."
As soon as she delivered the joke, she just collapsed and hit her head on the floor. Everyone thought at first it was all part of the act, but it was not. She was conscious, but clearly, all was not well. An EMT and a nurse happened to be in the audience ... they rushed up on stage to provide first aid.

[DCH] In acts of absurd desperation, we now see the White House and deep state propaganda rag mouthpiece publishers (WashPost, NYT, CNN, etc.) pushing aggressively to start a war with Russia.
Creating a "greater emergency" (i.e. international war) will allow the Biden regime to further terrorize the America people in all sorts malicious ways. In also creates a cover story for Biden's disastrous economic failures that are already plunging millions of Americans into food scarcity, joblessness and homelessness.
With an outbreak of (engineered) war with Russia, Biden's handlers could probably manage to declare a domestic state of emergency and roll out martial law across the USA as a "wartime" police state action.
From there, they plan to attempt nationwide gun confiscation, economic collapse and the total destruction of US military readiness in anticipation of enabling a communist China invasion of the USA.
1. Suspend the mid-term elections and stay in power as long as they can maintain the “emergency.”
2. Attempt nationwide gun confiscation from the American people.
3. Label anybody opposed to the Biden regime as “terrorists” or “sympathizers” with Russia.
4. Further attack the supply chain and cause mass famine and food riots, while blaming Russia for everything.
5. Achieve the desired collapse of the US dollar as the final act of looting of productive American workers.
[Fox] A U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agent who contracted COVID-19 while responding to the ongoing immigration crisis at the Texas southern border will be transported closer to home this week after a company donated his medical flight in the wake of the government’s alleged refusal to pay for the trip.
Gustavo Medina was deployed from Ohio to Texas on Nov. 14, 2021, and tested positive for the virus only five days later, his wife, Ann Medina, has said. His condition worsened until he was hospitalized in McAllen, Texas, where he was ultimately placed on a ventilator and then, in a medically induced coma.
"Gustavo is a fighter, but being so far away from home is taking a toll on the whole family," Ann Medina wrote of her husband in a GoFundMe page seeking support.
Ann Medina said the federal government denied her family's request to have her husband transferred to a hospital closer to home in Cleveland, effectively placing the cost and responsibility in their own hands.
Ann Medina later spoke about her family’s struggle during a Feb. 1 segment on "Fox & Friends," when she described how she had been searching for a private transport company to bring her husband home. Little did she know, an executive for emergency evacuation services company FocusPoint International was watching at the time and has since arranged for Gustavo Medina to be transported free of charge, the company confirmed.
"It seems to me that the US Border Patrol has never been busier along our southern border than it is today, it’s unfortunate that Gustavo contracted COVID-19 in the line of duty, and even more unfortunate that Gustavo’s insurance claim to have him transported back home was denied," Greg Pearson, CEO of FocusPoint International, wrote in an email statement to Fox News.
He added: "After hearing Ann’s story, I felt transporting Gustavo back home was the least we could do to show our support, not only for the Medina family, but more broadly for the US Border Patrol and their critical mission along the Southern border."
Barring any issues related to hospital bed availability, Gustavo Medina will be transported to West Cleveland’s Regency Hospital in his home state of Ohio on Tuesday to continue his recovery.
As of Feb. 2, Gustavo Medina remained on a ventilator but had gradually been improving. The money raised through the family’s GoFundMe page will instead go toward his hospital bills, additional treatments and any necessary house modifications, Ann Medina wrote on Sunday.
[PC] See, if this was a BLM/Antifa/Progressive mostly peaceful protest, with the accompanying violence, arson, destroying businesses, looting, and so forth, the government would be fine, since it wouldn’t be challenging the power of the government.
Canada police seen getting tough as trucker protests continue
As the protest against the Canadian government’s health measures and vaccine mandates entered the eleventh day on Monday, police have threatened to clamp down after facing criticism for lack of action that has crippled the national capital.
The "Freedom Convoy" consisting largely of truckers began as a movement against a Canadian vaccine requirement for cross-border drivers. But it has since evolved into a rallying point against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s strict measures to fight the pandemic.
Downtown Ottawa, home to Canada’s parliament, central bank, and buildings including Trudeau’s office, has been largely in lockdown after truckers occupied the streets. Late night honking and occasional fireworks have disrupted the normally quiet life of the residents in the city.
A hearing into a proposed class-action lawsuit seeking an injunction to silence the constant honking by truckers will take place on Monday.
On Sunday night, police began removing gas and fuel supplies at a logistics encampment set up by protesters, after the city’s mayor declared a state of emergency on Sunday.
A well-organized supply chain — including portable saunas, a community kitchen and bouncy castles for children — has sustained the protesters. It has relied partly on funding from sympathizers in the United States, police said.
ZOMG, bouncy houses! And, of course they’re saying this is primarily being funded by non-Canadians, despite protests occurring all over Canada at this point. The Ottawa police are very enthusiastic to arrest people who "attempt to bring material support" to people engaged in their Constitutional right of protest. The police do not say what laws people would be breaking. The laws and Constitutional are apparently fungible in Canada. And CTV News is Very Upset that the truckers erected buildings to hand out food and stuff.

CBC has become so obviously a State Propaganda organ that the bias is nearly palpable. Do these people have no integrity whatsoever?
I tend to discount those who say we need a revolution, but by Zeus, these totalitarian toadies are making the case for at least a big purge of most of the major institutions.
[PJ] The left seems obsessed with bending over backward to make it easy for minorities to get hammered.
As PJ Media’s own Chris Queen reported earlier, the Biden administration is coughing up mad stacks to help "underserved communities" get zonked on hard drugs.
The feds are spending $30 million to help vulnerable populations get whacked, and that includes the LGBT alphabet soup peeps as well. All this to supposedly "help" drug users not OD. Making it easy to shoot or smoke serious drugs seems akin to having a suicide prevention meeting at a gun range.
Biden isn’t the only commie helping the downtrodden trash their lives. Former New York City pinko mayor Bill De Blasio opened two "shooting galleries" in the city, one in east Harlem and one in Washington Heights — both of which are minority neighborhoods. East Harlem is largely Spanish and Washington Heights is mostly black. The galleries allow a "safe" place for addicts to inject heroin. I remember when Democrats wanted to help people get off drugs and get their lives back.
Let’s not forget the vaccine-pushing apparatchiks also offered free weed and beer to convince people to get the vaccine, which is almost as dumb as offering people French fries and donuts to get the vax, even though COVID-19 is a chubby-chaser that feasts on fat people.
P.S. I hope I’m never THAT desperate for a free Budweiser.
Are drug kits a good idea? Not unless you’re looking to kill black, Hispanic, and gay people.
But Democrats aren’t interested in saving lives. Our southern border, much like Antifa, is a "myth."

[Dawn] At least 19 people were killed by an avalanche on Monday while crossing a remote mountain pass from Afghanistan to Pakistain, a Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... official said.
Scores of Afghans cross illegally to Pakistain every day through the porous mountain border in search of jobs or to buy essential goods for trade.
Najibullah Hassan Abdal, head of information for eastern Kunar province ... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country..... , told AFP rescue workers were still searching at the scene of the avalanche.
"Nineteen bodies have been recovered already," he said.
Illegal traffic across the Pakistain-Afghan border has soared since the Taliban returned to power in August, plunging the country into a severe crisis with tens of thousands of people made jobless.
Pakistain is fencing the entire 2,670 kilometre (1,660 mile) frontier, known as the Durand line for the British colonial administrator who first drew it.
Traders and smugglers have for centuries used well-trodden remote mountain passes to criss-cross the territories and cheat on taxes.
But deadly avalanches are common in the area.
In 2015, more than 250 people were killed across the country in a series of devastating avalanches.

[Dawn] Two Frontier Corps ...a provincial paramilitary force. Total manpower is about 80,000. They are tasked to help local law enforcement in the maintenance of law and order, and to carry out border patrol and anti-smuggling operations.... (FC) personnel were maimed in a kaboom on Quetta's Sariab Road on Monday, an FC spokesperson said.
The personnel were on routine patrol in a village when the bomb — fitted in a cycle of violence on the side of the road — exploded remotely as they approached the site, the spokesperson said.
The injured officials have been shifted to the FC hospital, he added.
A large number of security personnel along with a bomb disposal squad reached the site immediately after the earth-shattering kaboom, he said, adding that the area was cordoned off and a search operation was initiated.
There has been an uptick in violence in Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... with several attacks and explosions reported since the start of the year.
At least 13 bad boyz were potted and seven security personnel, including an officer, martyred during armed attacks on two security forces' camps in the province's Naushki and Panjgur districts last week.
Balochistan Home Minister Mir Zia Langove had said at the time that several threats had been issued in February. "We had threats from ISIS and so-called nationalists," he had said.
Last month, 17 people, including two coppers had been injured in a grenade attack in Dera Allahyar town of Jaffarabad district.
Prior to that, three Levies Force personnel along with a Bugti clan elder were martyred and eight others injured in twin kabooms in Sui area of Dera Bugti.
SHEIKH RASHID ALLUDES TO RISE IN ATTACKS
Over the weekend, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid — while making an apparent reference to the recent rise in terrorism incidents and attacks on security forces — said that incidents that had taken place over the past week could further increase.
"I do not want to comment on the talks here. The Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... have intervened but the incidents that occurred in the past week could increase. They could rise [further]," he said while addressing a ceremony held in Rawalpindi on Saturday.
Rashid did not elaborate further on this comment, which was, apparently, also an allusion to the end of a month-long ceasefire between the government and proscribed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) in December last year.

[American Prosperity] The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) claims they did nothing wrong in testing Pegasus software created by an Israeli company that allows it to track a user’s mobile phone. An FBI spokesperson told The Washington Post they have never used it during investigations.
FBI’S STATEMENT ON TESTING SPYWARE TECHNOLOGY
According to a statement released by the FBI, they often work with emerging technology companies to learn more about the legal use of such software, help fight crime, and protect American citizens and our civil liberties.
The FBI claims it routinely tests technical solutions and problems in case a dangerous or sophisticated piece of software falls into the hands of criminals. However, they say the spyware in question was not operational and did not support any specific FBI investigations. Instead, the license obtained by the software company was limited to evaluation and product testing purposes only.
According to reports, the Pegasus software’s misuse has gotten the company NSO in trouble and landed it in the middle of some high-profile invasion of privacy and human rights abuse cases. Certain governments have allegedly used the product to spy on journalists, human rights activists, and political dissidents.
Pegasus software was also recently used to hack into the mobile phones of individuals working at the State Department.

Claiming innocence for wrong doing seems to be very common in the Biden (SD) junta.
Once again I'll say I am sure it is a small rouge politically planted element in the agency and a majority of the staff and agency see their careers being are threatened if they don't toe the line. Hence the leaks we see.

As we have seen, the safeguards to protect citizens built into the Patriot Act (and it's incarnations) and the FISA process are broken, have been seriously abused and need to be fixed or scrapped. Maybe the problem is that this act and the process is secretive and extra-constitutional--a tempting invitation for over-reach by tyrants.

[IsraelTimes] Judges give prosecutors until Tuesday afternoon to respond to claims about illicit hacking of figures tied to case, after earlier rejecting request by defense lawyers for delay.
The judges in former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ongoing corruption trial on Monday cancelled a scheduled court hearing for the next day, as they await answers about swirling police phone spying allegations.
The Jerusalem District Court gave prosecutors until 2 p.m. Tuesday to respond to questions regarding the illicit phone spying. The judges will convene Wednesday to discuss how to proceed, the court said.
The decision came after the court had earlier rejected a request for a delay by attorneys for Netanyahu and other defendants.
The attorneys filed the petition calling for a pause following an explosive report Monday morning that said the Israel Police used the NSO Group’s Pegasus spyware to hack into the phones of a wide range of public figures — including associates and family members of Netanyahu as well as multiple people currently involved in the trial — without any judicial oversight or approval.
According to the report, which was unsourced, police hacked the phones, among others, of former Walla CEO Ilan Yeshua; former Communications Ministry directors general Shlomo Filber and Avi Berger; Iris Elovitch, the wife of Shaul Elovitch, the former controlling shareholder of Bezeq, both of whom are defendants in the Netanyahu trial; former Bezeq CEOs Dudu Mizrachi and Stella Hendler; former Walla editor-in-chief Aviram Elad, and other journalists at Walla. The abuse use of the spyware reportedly extended far beyond people involved in the Netanyahu investigation and trial, with those illicitly targeted also said to include activists and demonstrators (including against Netanyahu), mayors, ministry director-generals, journalists and others.
In Case 4000, one of the three graft cases for which the former prime minister is on trial, Netanyahu is alleged to have advanced regulatory decisions as communications minister and prime minister that immensely benefited Elovitch, in exchange for editorial control over the Walla news site. The former premier denies the charges against him.
Yeshua, the first witness to testify in the corruption trial, appeared in court repeatedly over a period of several months. Elad and Berger have also testified, and Filber had been slated to take the stand in the coming weeks.
Jack Chen, an attorney for the Elovitches, said Monday that "for years we have been warning against a flawed and tendentious investigation that crossed all boundaries." Today, he said, in light of the reports, "nobody can keep saying that we exaggerated."
Chen said "the most urgent thing to do for all of our sakes is to stop, conduct an independent investigation of what happened, understand its significance and then start making corrections."
The report published Monday, weeks after Calcalist first reported on the alleged police use of such tactics, also said that Avner Netanyahu, the son of the former prime minister, and Netanyahu advisers Yonatan Urich and Topaz Luk had been targeted. Avner Netanyahu’s phone was said to have been hacked due to police suspicions that his mother, Sara, used it.
News that Filber was targeted by police spying first broke last week, though the Kan public broadcaster reported that so far, prosecutors believe any improper use of spyware technology was not tied to evidence used in the Netanyahu case.
On Friday, the Jerusalem District Court gave state prosecutors until Tuesday to answer questions from the defense about police use of spyware in the investigation into the former premier.
Attorneys for Netanyahu and other defendants in the case have demanded to know exactly what data was obtained, how it was used and whether others involved in the trial were also targeted in the operation, among other questions. Prosecutors have said they are examining the matter.
[ET] The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will not use a third-party company to verify new accounts with facial recognition, the agency announced on Monday in a news release.
The proposed move, which would have used the company ID.me, was criticized resoundingly by privacy advocates and some members of Congress, who say the technology is flawed and would not recognize users if they experienced significant physical changes. Previously, the IRS said it would use the software to cut down on fraudulent accounts.
The IRS "will transition away from using a third-party service for facial recognition to help authenticate people creating new online accounts," according to its news release. "The transition will occur over the coming weeks in order to prevent larger disruptions to taxpayers during filing season."
At the same time, the agency continued, it will "bring online an additional authentication process that does not involve facial recognition." It’s not exactly clear how that will be accomplished ahead of the tax-filing deadline in mid-April.
"The IRS takes taxpayer privacy and security seriously, and we understand the concerns that have been raised," said IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig in a statement. "Everyone should feel comfortable with how their personal information is secured, and we are quickly pursuing short-term options that do not involve facial recognition."
The IRS’s change will "not interfere" with taxpayers’ capability to file their tax returns or pay the taxes owed, the agency confirmed.
"During this period, the IRS will continue to accept tax filings, and it has no other impact on the current tax season. People should continue to file their taxes as they normally would," said the IRS.
Some members of Congress hailed the move on Monday.

Remember it took the internet blogs and sources to give this the true exposure it needed. Where was the MSM?
However now the question about the IRS comment... "...will transition away from... indicating they already are and have used such services. What will they do with the collected data and whom have they shared it with? ... will they erase it or sell it also.

I know this is wandering far off of the main topic, but this is yet another example of "mission creep". There is nothing in the original mission of the Justice Department that would include constructing buildings for the abuse of illegal drugs. Similarly, there is nothing in the original mission of the Center for Disease Control to lecture people about salt or guns.

No matter how often you bathe or change shorts, if the 'leadership' wishes to fire you, they will find something.
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. By Rasul Nazyrov
[RIA Novosti] Among the rioters arrested in Kazakhstan are 35 members of banned extremist movements, Rizabek Ozharov, head of the special prosecutors service at the Prosecutor General's Office, said.
"As of today, there are 35 members of banned extremist movements among those arrested," Ozharov said at a briefing on Monday.
I wish they would clarify whether they mean jihadis, capitalists, populists, or old-fashioned Communists applying their training in unexpected ways.
So, according to him, a group of criminally oriented members of a destructive religious movement was detained in Alma-Ata. Here is a list of banned organizations in the Russian Federation. Prolly applies to Kazakhstan as well.
"During the arrest, firearms were found ready for use. They coordinated the actions of their group. At the same time, one part was on the barricades in the lower part of the city, and the other was on the square," Ozharov explained.
In early January, mass protests took place in Kazakhstan. In the first days of 2022, residents of the cities of Zhanaozen and Aktau in the west of the country opposed the doubling of prices for liquefied gas.
So populists?
Later, the protests spread to other cities, including Alma-Ata, the old capital and the largest city of the republic: looting began there, militants attacked state institutions, took away weapons.
Not the usual action of people protesting high prices, or are the rules different over there?
The authorities declared a state of emergency throughout the country until January 19 and carried out a counter-terrorism operation. According to the UN , about 1,000 people were injured during the protests in Kazakhstan. According to the country's Prosecutor General's Office, 4,578 people were injured as a result of the riots, 225 people died, including 19 security officials.
There are not many of them left, but imagine a 100-year-old survivor of Iwo Jima. He has seen in his lifetime the fall of Nazism, fascism, Japanese Imperialism and the Soviet Union.
He also remembered that after the war, America was the greatest land of all. Factories hummed. Each city had a specialty. Akron made tires. Detroit made cars. Pittsburgh made steel. Toledo made glass.
Most of that is gone now. Globalism shipped American jobs to Mexico and overseas in exchange for cheap stuff. When the Soviet Union collapsed, Red China swept in. Its plan to rule the world was stealth. It paid off the politicians and lured in the CEOs. It has racked up a $4 trillion trade surplus from the United States.

[Right & Free] Kazakhstan's former head of counter-intelligence and anti-terrorism, Karim Masimov, has been arrested on charges of attempting to overthrow the Kazakhstani government. Authorities say security forces killed 26 demonstrators during the two week period of civil unrest, but independent sources estimate a total closer to 160 deaths.
A U.S. funded BSL-3 laboratory in Kazakhstan that studies viral strains, including COVID-19, is reported to have fallen into the hands of protestors during the uprising. Kazakhstani officials have denied reports that the controversial $102 million dollar laboratory was compromised — however, Russian media outlets reported a potential leak of deadly pathogens — similar to what some think may have occurred in 2019 at China’s virology laboratory in Wuhan, which set off a global pandemic.
Several Kazakhstani government offices, an airport and multiple buildings of interest were overtaken temporarily by government-opposed demonstrators during the two week incursion. Official Russian news agencies pointed out multiple social media reports claiming the Level-3 lab was overtaken by unidentified individuals near the deadly viral laboratory, including some seen wearing chemical protection suits.
Reports cited well-coordinated armed groups alongside protesters. Photos have emerged of weapons seized in the riots, and nearly 6,000 individuals have been detained - many being foreign nationals. It is not clear at this time where the alleged foreign provocateurs are from.

There are concerns over the security situation in Kwara state following the influx of criminal groups from Zamfara, seeking refuge in the state.
In a report by SB Morgen Intelligence, which will be released on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, the North Central states have witnessed some of the worst violence by organised armed groups in recent years, with varying security challenges.
According to the report, the criminal gangs have been moving to Kwara State, blending with the already existing local Fulani population.
However, the criminals were to later launch attacks on the Fulani brothers before they begin to launch a full-scale attack on the native residents.
“One of the most prominent of such cases happened on 2nd June 2021 when the head of the Fulani Bororo community in Oro-Ago, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Sheidu Madawaki, was murdered by unidentified gunmen.
“Mr Madawaki had paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) office a few days before 'to establish a synergy on how to improve and sustain the existing peaceful coexistence in the kingdom'.
“Madawaki’s cordial relationship with local law enforcement may have put a target on his back by criminal groups who viewed him as an informant for the government,” the report said.
The report says there is a worrisome trend that insecurity and violent uprising in Kwara State may boil over to the situation in Oyo State, particularly Ibarapa.
The criminal Fulani gangs, according to the report launched attacks on the predominantly agrarian and pastoral communities in Kwara State almost at the heat of the conflict in Igangan in Ibarapa Local Government Areas of Oyo state which shares a land boundary with Kwara.

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – In order to support smugglers, the Syrian government forces randomly targeted military points of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), leading to the loss of a woman her life and the injury of three people, including two children on Monday in a town east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
A clash with automatic weapons broke out between smugglers and SDF members, after which the government forces fired intense random bullets to support the smugglers and those working for the government forces, a local source from the town of Dhiban, east of Deir ez-Zor, which is run by the government forces, told North Press.
“A woman lost her life and three others, including two children, were wounded by indiscriminate bullets fired by the government forces,” the source added.
“The clashes, which lasted for more than two hours, were followed angry crowds in front of the government headquarters in response to the killing of the woman and the injured.”
Iranian-backed factions along with the government forces run areas in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, west the Euphrates River.

[JPost] So "A new morning begins"..naaaahhhh
Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which are not part of the PLO, did not send representatives to the meeting, saying it would drive a deeper rift among Palestinians.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday scored a victory as the Palestinian Central Council (PCC) voted in favor of appointing some of his loyalists to key positions in the Palestinian leadership.
Hussein al-Sheikh, head of the PA General Authority of Civil Affairs, was chosen to replace the late Saeb Erekat, who died in 2020, as secretary-general of the PLO Executive Committee.
Abbas serves as chairman of the PLO Executive Committee and the Fatah Central Committee, two bodies that are now dominated by his loyalists.
The appointment of Sheikh boosts his chances of becoming No. 2 in the Palestinian leadership and a potential successor to Abbas.
Mohammad Mustafa was elected to replace PLO Executive Committee member Hanan Ashrawi, who resigned in 2020 after accusing the Palestinian leadership of marginalizing the PLO and excluding it from decision-making.
Ramzi Rabah was elected to replace veteran PLO Executive Committee member Tayseer Khaled, who submitted his resignation.
The PCC elected Ramzi Khoury as chairman of the Palestinian National Fund, the PLO’s “finance ministry.” Khoury, a longtime confidant of Abbas, was also elected to be a member of the PLO Executive Committee.
The PCC also voted in favor of appointing another Abbas loyalist, Rouhi Fattouh, as speaker of the Palestinian National Council, the PLO’s legislative body and parliament in exile. Fattouh replaced Salim Zanoun, who retired after 30 years in the job.
The PCC decisions were announced at the end of a two-day meeting in Ramallah that was boycotted by several Palestinian factions and figures who had accused Abbas of “hijacking” the Palestinian decision-making bodies and refusing to share powers with others.
Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which are not part of the PLO, did not send representatives to the meeting. The two groups had called on Palestinian delegates and factions to boycott the session, saying it would deepen divisions among the Palestinians and sabotage efforts to end the rivalry between Abbas’s Fatah and Hamas.
Palestinian political analysts said the decisions of the PCC would tighten Abbas’s control over the PLO and other major institutions and pave the way for his loyalists to play a significant role in the post-Abbas era.
“This is a big victory for President Abbas,” said one analyst. “It is also a major blow to his rivals, especially those within the PLO and Fatah.”
Other analysts denounced the PCC decisions as a “crime” against the Palestinians and said those elected do not represent the Palestinians.
In a speech before the PCC on Sunday night, Abbas accused Israel of “undermining the two-state solution” and said that “options remain open.”
“It is not possible to continue implementing agreements [with Israel] unilaterally, and our contacts with the Israeli side are not a substitute for a political solution based on international legitimacy,” he said.
The Palestinians will continue to work with the US administration to strengthen bilateral relations, Abbas said.
“We are still waiting for the implementation of its commitments to protect the two-state solution and the signed agreements,” he said, referring to Washington’s pledge to reopen the US Consulate in Jerusalem that was closed in 2018.

Libyan authorities have managed to arrest the main perpetrator of the 2013 heist of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Saied Al-Tarhouni. This came after media outlets mentioned his name as one of the main suspects in the case.
Al Jazeera’s ‘Distance Zero’ investigative report revealed details of the largest armed robbery of the CBL, and provided information about the network of those involved in the heist.
The investigation showed that the criminals had stolen funds worth 53 million Libyan dinars ($43.49 million), in addition to $12.8 million Dollars, and €5 million Euros.
Armed men stopped a van in the coastal city of Sirte arriving from the airport, carrying the cash which had been flown in from Tripoli.
In December 2013, three suspects were arrested in southern Libya by the Umm Al-Aranab joint security room. Saleh Haiba, Ali Faraj, and Ghaith Abdul-Hafiz, were handed over to the National Security Center, but an armed group raided the center and forcibly released them.
The Governor of the Central Bank, Al-Siddiq Al-Kabir accused the then Prime Minister, Ali Zeidan and the Minister of Interior of being part of the robbery.
Zeidan denied the accusation, “After the heist, the Minister of Interior and I sent a force in an attempt to storm the site of the stolen money. Notables of the region and members of the General National Congress (GNC) requested the operation be stopped, so as not to shed blood,” he explained.
[Western Journal] With mask mandates for students and teachers increasingly under fire, one of the major children’s hospitals in the country is recommending that facial coverings no longer be required.
Dr. David Rubin, director of the PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, said masks should not be considered necessary, WCAU-TV reported Monday.
"We are in a very different moment in this pandemic," Rubin told the station.
Rubin suggested that it is finally time to start getting back to normal in the school setting, particularly since cases of COVID-19 omicron variant among children are more on the level of other seasonal viruses.
[IsraelTimes] Prosecutors say pair, who intended to join Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. A South African court convicted and tossed in the clink Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up! twin brothers for terrorism on Monday over plans to attack the US embassy in Pretoria and join the Islamic State group, local media reported.
Tony-Lee Thulsie and Brandon-Lee Thulsie, both 28, were arrested in South Africa in July 2016 and have been held in jug since.
The South African brothers pleaded guilty earlier Monday as part of a plea bargain with the prosecution, according to local media.
Hours later the Johannesburg High Court slapped Tony-Lee with an 11-year jail term while his brother Brandon-Lee was sentenced to eight years.
Both pleaded guilty to planning to travel to Syria to join IS, the media reports said.
Tony-Lee also admitted to planning a terrorist attack in South Africa, they added.
Prosecutors said attacks also had been planned against US, British, Russian or French diplomats in Pretoria as well as Jewish institutions.
The United States added the pair to its terror blacklist in 2017.
The arrests of the brothers in 2016 were the first in South Africa relating to alleged IS membership.
South Africa has so far been spared the jihadist attacks that have struck several other countries on the continent, including its eastern neighbor Mozambique.

Of the many bastards of Thulsa Doom,
one gent settled in the rainbow gloom,
and had a son who had a son, who then
had a son which was useless and
took up the dread Dar-ul-uloom.
What ignominy for the snake king,
more than his noggin's artless taking;
that his name was turned into Thulsie!
Was it shame, or sheer moslem whimsy?
Whatever... he tosses now in his sloom.
Shafaq News/ An "RPG" missile targeted a hall that receives supporters of the Tishreen Revolution in Kufa.
A security source told Shafaq News that unidentified men fired an RPG at Al-Naranj hall in Kufa district, Najaf governorate.
"The attack caused material damage to the building, without any human losses."
According to our source, the Hall is a place for frequent meetings of supporters of the October Revolution
In October 2019, mass demonstrations engulfed Baghdad and southern Iraq as citizens protested widespread corruption, unemployment, and poor public services. Nearly 500 people were killed.
The Tishreen (October) uprising became the largest and longest-lasting social movement since 2003. The protests caused the resignation of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.
[Foreign Policy] As Malaysia Airlines’ 298 passengers died over the skies of eastern Ukraine, so did the last trace of hope that Russian President Vladimir Putin would back down from his support of eastern Ukraine’s separatist rebels or agree to a negotiated settlement to the seven-month-long conflict. Since the deadly incident, it is no longer in doubt whether or not the future of eastern Ukraine — or Novorossiya (New Russia), as pan-Slavic nationalists call it — will be decided by force. The only question remaining is how deadly the fight will be.
At the moment, the government in Kiev is ramping up its fight to reclaim Ukraine’s restive eastern regions. At the same time, thousands of Russian troops are amassed along Ukraine’s eastern border, and not just the elite Airborne or Spetsnaz troops that took over Crimea in February, but also units designed to fight conventional wars and armies, like Ukraine’s. The result could be explosive.

"The 2020 election was rigged and everyone knows it," Trump asserted, even though all such claims have been thoroughly disproved."
A resolution has been introduced by Rep. Finchem in Arizona which would basically decertify Arizona's 2020 election results. Similiar efforts are ongoing in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin. A judge from the second highest court in Pennsylvania has ruled the 2020 election results unconstitutional. So no, the claims of a fraudulent election have not been disproved except in the derranged minds of the MSM and Dem Party (one and the same).

I read that as the conventional wisdom being concerned that there is a serious probability that they’re going to have to deal with Donald Trump in the White House again, and this time he won’t hold back.

the claims of a fraudulent election have not been disproved
No, but fraud can not affect the results of the election anymore, not since Jan 6. No court will take a case - since there is no Constitutional recourse the issue is moot.

Meh, I'd rather have the more effective fighter DeSantis in office than Trump, but I'd settle for Trump over anyone else but him.
My ideal would be Desantis as President, and Trump as Speaker of the House. IMHO Speaker would suit Trump's style a lot better, and allow him to effectively beat the crap out of the bureaucracy by pushing congressional actions and investigations and passing laws stripping authority from the bureacrats.
Plus it would be a hoot to see him holding disciplinary power over "The Squad", and hearing their lamentations as they are driven down.
#8
Oh and the bonus for Speaker Trump? McConnel would be forced to deal with him instead of the other way around. Especially with a President DeSantis in the Whitehouse backing him up.

I think we are looking at 3 terms or more of GOP Presidents if they don't screw it up. That's what we got after Carter and Biden is both worth and seen as illegitimate. So saying that I'd Like a Biden/Desantes term followed by two Desantes/? terms.
I must say though that I really like Chealing Chomotle4158's idea of Trump as Speaker of the House (putting him 3rd in line for the Executive so the Dems wouldn't dare mess about with impeaching)
He'd quickly devolve into Tweeter of the House, picking entertaining but ultimately pointless fights with left-wing attention whores like Bucktooth and Tlaib-an.

The United States government has placed a $10million (N4.1billion) bounty on Sanaullah Ghafari,
...also known as also known as Shahab al-Muhajir, he ascended to the top almost two years ago. Late last year he made the US State Dept. Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs) list ...
leader of the Afghanistan regional chapter of the Islamic State group.
The US State Department announced that it needed information leading to the “identification or location” of Ghafari, AFP reports.
The reward, according to the US government is for any information that would aid in arresting or convicting Ghafari and others responsible for the “terrorist attack at the Kabul airport” on August 26, 2021, which was claimed by the Islamic State-Khorasan (IS-K).
ISIS-K, known as the Islamic State–Khorasan Province, operates out of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
It was the group responsible for an attack against U.S. troops and Afghan citizens at the Kabul airport during President Joe Biden's pullout from the country last August.
The State Department identified this faction's leader as Sanaullah Ghafari who took over in June 2020.
“Ghafari is responsible for approving all ISIS-K operations throughout Afghanistan and arranging funding to conduct operations,” the State Department said in a statement.
He had been blacklisted in November 2021 as a foreign terrorist.
Little is known about Ghafari, although his nom de guerre suggests he arrived in the region from the Arab world.
He is rumoured to have been an Al-Qaeda commander or a former member of the Haqqani network, one of the most powerful and feared factions in the Taliban.
IS-K has been responsible for some of the deadliest attacks in the region in recent years, massacring civilians in Afghanistan and Pakistan, at mosques, shrines, public squares and hospitals.
The group has especially targeted Muslims from sects it considers heretical, including Shiites — much like the original IS group.
It was hit hard by both the Taliban and US-led forces and was losing influence but its attacks have ramped up since their rival Islamists took power in August.
In Ottawa, attempts by agents provocateurs to provoke violence at the Freedom Rally have gone nowhere. So last night, "anti-hate" buffoon Bernie Farber, friend to censors everywhere, was reduced to hate-hoaxing for Justin by circulating "anti-semitic flyers" sent to him by a "friend" "in Ottawa". Inevitably, within moments, they were revealed to be from something entirely different in Florida some weeks ago. So Bernie explained that his imaginary friend in Ottawa had seen actual hate flyers in Ottawa but had accidentally emailed him a similar flyer from America or something... These days Farber disgraces even himself.
Meanwhile, the Ottawa police have begun arresting citizens trying to deliver food to the truckers. There is no basis in Canadian law for the actions these goon coppers are taking, but the attitude of their dreadful police chief is: hey, the law is whatever I say it is. So he has ordered the arrest of citizens for "mischief". By mischief, he means bringing sustenance or heat to protesters passing the night in temperatures of twenty below.
~Many parts of the western world are in a very dark place right now, but none more so than Canada. Its unseen prime minister, who came into office promising "sunny ways", can no longer appear in public and sweepingly, tweetingly declares that he doesn't need to because the sort of chaps you run into out there are rubes who don't even know they're Islamophobes, transphobes, thisaphobes, thataphobes, too dumb even to be aware they're working for Putin.
As Tucker and I used to joke five years back, across the developed world the elite rise up against the masses: it's like an anti-1848, prefiguring the post-democratic era that the 2020s will usher in. The present showdown between the Bollywood Bridesmaid and the truckers who deliver his quinoa has made it about as explicit as you can get. The good humour in the face of elite contempt is impressive. Here are a couple of typical "angry" "hate-filled" "white supremacists":

Three individuals were arrested by Spain’s National Police on 1 February, on charges of financing terrorism in Libya, according to a report by Euro Weekly News.
The detainees were detained in Valencia, Barcelona, and Girona.
The suspects used a complex business network to mask their economic transactions, and provide funds to a terrorist militia in Libya, related to IS. The investigation began two years ago when counter-terrorism specialists discovered a person related to the leadership of a Libyan militia, linked to IS
Officers from the Provincial Information Brigades of San Sebastian, Bilbao, and Valencia collaborated at a national level. As well as working with Europol at an international level.
On Friday, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the Head of the Central Court of Instruction No1 of the National Court. The leader of the network was sentenced to prison
During the operation, three homes were searched in Barcelona, and Sant Adri del Besos, along with a commercial establishment in Badalona. Two high-end vehicles have also been confiscated.
Numerous documentation, effects, and technical documents are being analyzed by investigators. A large sum of cash has been seized, of which €20,000 was located in one of the vehicles.
Libya has been embroiled by lawlessness since the 2011 fall of long-time leader Muammar Gaddafi, with an array of armed groups vying for control.
IS took advantage of the chaos to seize parts of the country’s north and west. A string of offensives saw it defeated in 2018.
The group continues to carry out small-scale raids.

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – A number of people were injured as a result of a dispute between residents and members of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) at a wedding party in the countryside of the city of al-Bukamal on the Iraqi-Syrian border.
“A dispute erupted between the members of the Jaghayfa tribe and the PMF members when the latter’s members came to the wedding party without being invited,” a well-informed source from the village of al-Hari bordering Iraq in the countryside of al-Bukamal said.
“The dispute started when members of PMF refused to leave the party. It then turned an exchange of fire between the tribe members and the Iraqi Popular Mobilization members,” the source said.
“Three members of the tribe were wounded, in addition to at least two members of the Popular Mobilization Forces,” the source added.
The source pointed out that “the Iranian militias have surrounded the village of al-Hari, preventing people from entering or leaving it. They also imposed a curfew, amid a state of tension prevailing in the village,” according the source.

[REGNUM] The German tabloid Bild, in the best traditions of anti-Russian propaganda, publishes the “Putin plan”, which is supposedly being prepared and will be implemented after Russia wins a military victory over Ukraine.
Recall that the Western media have been carefully fanning anti-Russian hysteria for several months, and introducing the thesis into Western society that Russia will certainly attack Ukraine. The German tabloid Bild, referring to some intelligence, publishes another crazy set of points that Russia allegedly implements when it attacks Ukraine.
The publication has no doubt that the Russian army will defeat the Ukrainian one in field battles, but after this stage, the Russian armed forces will begin a “siege” of Ukrainian cities, in which, in turn, embedded intelligence cells and politicians loyal to Putin will become more active. They will be instructed to establish a “pro-Russian government” in the cities, which would subsequently agree on surrender to the “Russian occupiers”. This tactic will be used by the Russians until all Ukrainian major cities "peacefully" come under Russian control.
Once military control over Ukraine is established, Russian forces will initiate the convening of a "People's Rada" that will abolish the "real" Verkhovna Rada. In turn, a “reserve government” will emerge from the “Narodnaya Rada”, which will rule Ukraine and be controlled from Moscow.
All these processes will allegedly be accompanied by an intensive propaganda campaign, which will be conducted by the Russian media, including in the West. The campaign will be a prologue to the intensive "Russification" of Ukraine.
Bild claims that the task of the Ukrainian puppet government will be only one: to break the millions of Ukrainians who then will allegedly resist the "Russian occupation." A state of emergency will be introduced, filtration camps will be created for "dissenting" Ukrainians, the lists of which have already been prepared.
The less protesting part of the population of Ukraine will be suppressed by numerous and sinister special services, which will be created on the model of Russian ones. An example to follow is the suppression of the “democratic movement” after the “stolen elections” in Belarus in 2020.
This whole plan has one goal: to create a new "Union State". After the puppet regime in Ukraine is created, a referendum will be held on Ukraine's entry into Russia. Thus, Putin's goal will be the creation of a "Union State" of modern Ukraine, Belarus and Russia with local puppet regimes on the Soviet model and centralized control from Moscow.
Bild claims that a Russian attack on Ukraine is almost inevitable and will begin in February. Not later than March, that's for sure. Unless, of course, Putin changes his mind.
Some suspected bandits, in the late hours of Sunday, attacked Okene Area Command of the Nigeria Police Force in Kogi State.
According to Kingsley Fanwo, the state Commissioner for Information and Communications in the state, the attack by the gunmen numbering above 30 was repelled by security operatives.
Fanwo further revealed that one of the attackers was shot dead while others escaped with gunshot wounds.
He said, “The Kogi State Government wishes to report that the Okene Area Command of the Nigerian Police Force was attacked by gunmen numbering over 30 in the late hours of Sunday February 6, 2020.
"However, they were shown the strength and efficacy of the Kogi security architecture as the local hunters, men of the State Vigilante Service collaborated with other security operatives to spontaneously foil the attack.
"The superior firepower of the combined security network of the state ensured one of them was gunned down immediately while others ran away with various degrees of gun wounds. Two of their motorcycles were recovered as well as various arms and ammunition. Also, explosives meant to shatter the command were immediately detonated by experts.
"The onslaught against the gunmen was coordinated by the Executive Chairmen of Local Government Areas in Kogi Central and the SSA on Security to the Governor in charge of Kogi Central.
"This is the second time in less than two months that Kogi proved impregnable to criminals as tens of them lost their lives in the attack on Yagba West LGA of the state last December.
"No innocent lives were lost, instead, the criminals were the ones that received gun wounds and lost one of them on the spot. We call on traditional medical homes and other medical facilities to report anyone with gun wounds to the nearest security formation as our local hunters are giving them a run for their money in the bush right now. We shall keep you updated on developments."

[KavkazUzel] A native of Ingushetia is in Syria preparing food for IS militants and treating them, investigators suspected.
A resident of Ingushetia is suspected of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization and participation in an illegal armed formation on the territory of a foreign state.
According to investigators, in May 2016, a 41-year-old resident of Ingushetia arrived in the Syrian city of Raqqa, where she voluntarily joined the structural unit of IS.
"The suspect performs the functions of cooking, housekeeping, providing medical care and caring for wounded militants taking part in hostilities against the government forces of the Syrian Arab Republic," the Ingushetia Investigative Committee said today.
The investigation is being conducted by the investigative department for the city of Karabulak of the Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee for Ingushetia. The issue of bringing the suspect in absentia and declaring her on the international wanted list is being decided, according to a statement on the agency's website.
There were no comments from the suspect or her official representatives regarding the version of the investigation.
The "Caucasian Knot" also wrote that the Investigative Committee of Ingushetia told new details about the preparation of terrorist attacks on the territory of the republic. After hearing the gunshots, some civil servants were seen fleeing home.
At least 11 people were killed last Tuesday when soldiers attempted to overthrow President Umaro Sissoco Embaló, according to the authorities.

IDLIB, Syria (north Press) – On Sunday, Russian warplanes bombed the sites of Turkish-backed opposition factions south of Idlib, northwest Syria.
The vicinity of the town of Kafr Shalaya in the Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib, was hit with three Russian airstrikes, opposition military sources told North Press.
The opposition factions’ sites surrounding the town were also bombed by Russia, but no casualties were reported, the sources added.
“The raids coincided with intense flight by Russian reconnaissance over the area,” the sources noted.
In a related context, two people were wounded as a result of the Syrian government artillery shelling of the opposition sites in the vicinity of the town of Kansafra, south of Idlib, the sources said.
On Saturday, a person was wounded of varying severity by artillery shelling carried out by the government forces on the opposition sites in the town of al-Wasata, west of Aleppo.
Meanwhile, the government forces’ sites near the village of al-Shekh Aqeel in the western countryside of Aleppo were bombed with heavy artillery and missiles by al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations’ Room, according to the sources.
After months of military escalation, the de-escalation zones in northwest Syria witnessed, over the last few days, relative calm between the two sides of the conflict.

[Rudaw] Suspected Ottoman Turkish artillery shells on Monday targeted several villages in northern Hasaka in northeast Syria (Rojava), severely damaging civilian houses, as reported by a local media outlet.
Alleged Ottoman Turkish artillery hit at least three villages in al-Darbasiyah sub-district in Hasaka, Hawar News Agency (ANHA) said. There are no reports of casualties.
Hasaka has previously been targeted by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... as it often launches attacks in the region, killing and injuring civilians and security forces.
Rojava saw 47 Ottoman Turkish ground attacks and incursion attempts, as well as 89 drone offensives, over the past year, killing and injuring hundreds, the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said in its annual report in January.
The recent offensive in Hasaka comes days after Ankara launched a new operation, dubbed Winter Eagle, in the border areas of Syria and the Kurdistan Region.
Suspected Ottoman Turkish drones also targeted a vehicle transporting three members of the Kurdish Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) on Thursday, killing one person.
At least one person was injured in Hasaka’s Zirgan district in another suspected Ottoman Turkish attack last month.
Turkey has conducted three military operations in northern Syria since 2016, two of them against Kurdish fighters who Ankara considers a branch of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and a threat to its national security. It has previously threatened to launch a new offensive in Rojava.

[REGNUM] Russian President Vladimir Putin was concerned about discrimination against the Russian-speaking population in Ukraine. This was stated by the Russian leader on February 8 during a press conference following talks with French leader Emmanuel Macron.
The head of Russia explained that he was concerned about discrimination against the Russian-speaking population in Ukraine, enshrined in law. Putin pointed out that the Russian-speaking population in Ukraine is denied "both recognition as an indigenous people, in fact, in their native land, and the use of their native language."
The President of Russia called it strange that this fact is not reflected in any way “in some position on the part of the European countries” and expressed the hope that the President of France, following the meeting in Moscow, will discuss with the Kiev authorities during his upcoming visit to Ukraine issues of ensuring security guarantees and stability in Europe.
Earlier, REGNUM reported that Russian President Putin announced that Ukraine was taking a course towards the dismantling of the Minsk agreements.
[REGNUM] Russia's dialogue with the United States and NATO on security assurances is not over yet, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said at a press conference following talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.
"I don’t think that this is where our dialogue is over," he said.
At the same time, Putin stressed that NATO and the United States, in their responses to Russian proposals, did not pay attention to the main problems troubling Russia. According to the Russian leader, the West simply ignored these provisions.
As REGNUM reported earlier, a meeting between German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and US President Joe Biden took place earlier . It was noted that during the talks, anti-Russian sanctions were discussed, which could be introduced in the event of an escalation of the situation around Ukraine.

The Sudetenland comparison's not even close. This was Tatar / Cossack territory for centuries. Russians arrived mainly in Catherine's time at the end of the 18thc. and later in the 19tg c. after Englishman John Hughes established steelworks to exploit the vast coal reserves.
The Russians who bear the most blame for destroying the Donbas industrial region and causing the current mess are Trotsky and Lenin, who first aligned with and exploited Nestor Makhno's Anarcho-Communist (sound familiar?) movement to defeat the White forces in the Civil War and then demolished their useful-tool allies in 1920.

According to tribal customs in Pakistain, Shah said he is expected to arrange the children's marriages within his extended family.

In a clan-based society, marrying your relatives has some advantages: it keeps wealth within the family and you don't get dragged into another clan's squabbles with their neighbors. Admittedly, the genetic thing is a bit of a downside.

and Iran: A shocking video captured an Iranian man grinning as he walked through the streets clutching the severed head of his 17-year-old wife — whom he decapitated in an “honor killing,” according to a report.
The gruesome footage shows Sajjad Heydari strolling through a neighborhood in Ahvaz, a city in the southwestern province of Khuzestan, on Saturday with Mona Heydari’s head in one hand and a blade in the other, East2West News reported.
Mona, who also was Sajjad’s cousin, had been forced to marry him when she was just 12 years old, according to the Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran.
She reportedly suffered domestic abuse but was pressured to stay put for the sake of their 3-year-old son, even though she had expressed her wish to divorce the brute.

[REGNUM] In South Ossetia, the Five Steps to Russia program will be launched, which should create conditions for the republic to join the Russian Federation. This was announced by the President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov in an interview with the Russia-24 TV channel.
“This is not my whim, this is the desire of our people since the 20s of the last century. Ossetians are a divided people, and this separation must be eliminated ,” said Bibilov.
He noted that the issue of the unification of Ossetians is higher than the independence of South Ossetia. The head of the republic noted that the Ossetians did not secede from the Russian Empire, and during the collapse of the USSR, they voted in a referendum to become part of Russia.
Bibilov added that the authorities of the republic are striving to develop integration processes with the Russian Federation.

People of Ain Diwar village, which was bombed by #Turkey, told the American patrol that the Turkish bombing hinders them from taking care of their agricultural land, their only source of livelihood. #NE_Syria#AANES#SDFhttps://t.co/dH7nd2HceO
DERIK, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, an American patrol headed to the village of Ain Diwar in the countryside of Derik, far northeast Syria, to check the destruction caused by the Turkish bombing days ago.
An American patrol of four military armored vehicles arrived in the village of Ain Diwar. The troops walked through the village and visited the houses that had been bombed.
On February 2, the village of Ain Diwar was bombed by Turkish forces.
Two civilians were wounded, two houses were destroyed and five other houses were burnt in the Turkish bombardment.
The patrol members talked with the residents about the points from which the Turkish shells are launched, which randomly targeted civilians’ property.
The villagers who spoke to the patrol members said “it is the planting season and it is necessary to sprinkle fertilizer on the agricultural land on the border,” but they fear being targeted by the Turkish side.
The residents of the village called on the patrol members to maintain a constant presence in the border area to avoid being targeted by Turkey.
The patrol members checked the destroyed houses, photographed the bombing sites and collected some shrapnel from the place and the bombing sites.
In a related context, a Russian patrol passed through the same village his morning without inspecting the bombing sites.

The Nigerian Army has said another 104 members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) and Boko Haram have surrendered to Nigerian troops.
This was contained in a post shared on the Twitter handle of the Nigerian Army on Monday.
In the post, the Nigerian Army said the 104 terrorists consisted of their wives and other family members.
The terrorists surrendered on Saturday to the troops of 25 Task Force Brigade Damboa, Borno State on Saturday, February 5.
It reads, “ISWAP fighters and their families numbering 104 comprising 22 males, 27 females and 55 children surrendered to troops of 25 Task Force Brigade Damboa, Borno State on Saturday 5 February 2022."
Some months ago, the news circle was dominated by reports of repeated surrenders of Boko Haram terrorists to the Nigerian military.
In August 2021, the Nigerian Army gifted clothes and food items to over 1,000 Boko Haram and Islamic State West African Province fighters whom the military claimed had surrendered to troops in Borno State during a clearance operation.
Since then, at least 18,000 Boko Haram fighters and their families have surrendered to the army following the death in May of their leader Abubakar Shekau.
Shekau blew himself up to avoid capture during infighting with the rival Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) faction in his Sambisa Forest enclave.
ISWAP split from Boko Haram in 2016 to become a dominant group in Nigeria with ties to the so-called Islamic State.
Many Maiduguri residents fear jihadists are surrendering not out of remorse, but in desperation to escape ISWAP rivals who were executing Boko Haram militants for refusing to yield to the group.

The surrendered militants said that they remorse being par to the ISIS-K and promised not to join the terror group again.
Dr Basheer said that the surrender of the affiliates is conditioned and they are not allowed to go from one area to another without the permission of the Taliban.
In the meantime, those who surrendered cannot use weapons or military vehicles and cannot contact the wrongdoers.

[KavkazUzel] A military court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced four inmates of the Stavropol colony to lengthy prison terms for participation in the Islamic State terrorist organization.
In May 2020, Akhmed Musalaev, who is serving a sentence in a colony in the Stavropol Territory, recorded an audio message about joining the ranks of IS and sent it to a member of a terrorist organization for subsequent transmission to the leader.
From May to June 2020, Akhmed Musalaev persuaded Akhmed Tokaev, Said Mazhaev and Gasan Magomedov, who were serving sentences with him, to participate in IS, the Southern District Military Court established.
Then, according to the investigation, Akhmed Musalaev created an IS cell on the territory of the colony. In the cell, Musalaev carried out general leadership, among his tasks was to maintain communication with the IS member in Syria, he also had to report on the activities of the cell. Tokaev and Mazhaev were responsible for searching for possible candidates for joining a terrorist organization, and Magomedov was responsible for raising money, TASS reported today with reference to the press service of the court.
All four were found guilty of committing crimes under article 205.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Organization of a terrorist community and participation in it", article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Organization of the activities of a terrorist organization and participation in the activities of such an organization." Akhmed Musalaev was also found guilty under article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Assistance to terrorist activities."
The convicts, depending on the role and degree of guilt of each, were assigned the following terms: Akhmed Musalaev: 17 years in prison, Akhmed Tokaev: 13.5 years, Gasan Magomedov and Said Mazhaev: 2.5 years each, he said today with reference to the press court service "Interfax".
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" wrote about other cases when prisoners in the colony were convicted for participation in a terrorist community.
So, on August 30, 2021, a military court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Robert Emirgamzaev, a native of the Kizlyarsky district of Dagestan, to five and a half years in a special regime colony, finding him guilty of participating in an IS cell in a Kalmyk colony.
And on June 22, 2021, the court sentenced Michael Labazanov to 15 years in prison, finding him guilty of involvement in a terrorist organization for recruiting prisoners there while serving a criminal sentence in the Stavropol Territory.

[MAIL] Dozens of athletes thrown into virus isolation at China's zero-Covid Winter Olympics have laid bare their misery - describing 'crying like crazy' after being hauled out of bed at 3am before being fed miserable food in rooms too small for exercise.
Beijing is attempting to hold a virus-free event in the midst of a pandemic, cutting off competitors and their teams in a bubble where tests must be taken every day, with anyone who tests positive dragged off to isolation.
But conditions in isolation are reportedly dire. Valeria Vasnetsova, a Russian biathlete, claims she was served the same inedible meal three times a day for five days in a row - and that it left her so emaciated that her 'bones [were] sticking out'.
Head of German team Dirk Schimmelpfennig also blasted 'unacceptable' conditions for his athletes, saying isolation rooms are too small, not hygienic enough, the food is poor and PCR tests that athletes must take to free themselves are not being given.
Natalia Maliszewska, a Polish speed skater, described being repeatedly moved into and out of quarantine over successive days due to conflicting Covid test results, an experience she described as a 'trauma' that left her 'crying and crying'.

It's the same food Chinese people eat. I thought they don't want special treatment? They're not getting special treatment. They're being treated exactly the way Chinese people are treated in quarantine. Hotel room, 3 meals a day, PCR tests via swab stuck way up the nose.
They're not outraged because they're being treated unequally. They're outraged because they're being treated equally.

Why would anyone want to be treated like a peon in a Third World country? We value being in the First World because as a society we’ve worked our way out of the deprivations of national poverty, and in general work very hard to maintain First World standards. Nobody is stupid enough to want to live like that — not even them, which is why so many from the Third World are flooding in through our open borders and sending their wives and daughters to have anchor babies in our hospitals.

Curious. Perhaps humiliating the foreign barbarians is the point. A number of countries are doing a 'diplomatic' boycott which has to be embarrassing for China. Appearances do still matter - take tennis star Peng Shuai's "everything is groovy" interview, for example.
Or could it be for competitive advantage? Athletes need calories to fund their physical efforts. Lack of glucose means poor performance for the foreigners. It would not be the first time a communist regime used famine as a weapon.

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich on Monday issued a legal opinion that determines that the ongoing crisis at the southern border is an "invasion" under the Constitution – a move he says gives the state the power to take additional measures to defend itself.
In the opinion, Brnovich says that the definition of "invasion" contained under the U.S. Constitution is not limited to hostile foreign states, and can include "hostile non-state actors."

[Rudaw] At least one member of the Iraqi security forces was killed and four others were maimed in a suspected Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) attack in Diyala province on Sunday night.
Telegram channels affiliated with the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) on Sunday said that ISIS snuffies had attacked Iraqi security forces in Diyala province, during which five members of the Iraqi security forces were maimed.
The groups later reported the death of one of the injured and identified him as a commander in the forces.
According to a report published last month by Combating Terrorism Center at West Point, there is little evidence of a significant ISIS resurgence in Iraq, with the snuffies increasingly isolated from the population.
"The Islamic State’s insurgency in Iraq underwent a steep decline over the last 20 months," the global security think-tank stated. "A comprehensive analysis of attack metrics shows an insurgency that has tanked in both the quality of its operations and overall volume of attack activity, which has fallen to its lowest point since 2003."
The terror group launched over 257 offensives, killing 387 and injuring 518 people, including Iraqi and Kurdish fighters over the past year
In its propaganda magazine on Thursday, ISIS claimed to have conducted 19 attacks in Iraq from January 27 to February 2, killing and injuring 30 people.
It’s past time for the old generationto make way for the next.

[Rudaw] A group led by Syria's former al-Qaeda affiliate on Sunday denied it knew the head of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group, killed in a US raid, lived in an area under its control.
IS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurashiwent kaboom! Thursday during the nighttime raid on his house in Syria's northwest region of Idlib, which is mostly dominated by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... (HTS) jihadist group, an IS rival.
"We were not aware of such an operation before it happened," HTS said in a statement, adding that it was also unaware of "the identity of the residents" of the house that was targeted by US special forces.
"We condemn this (US) operation," the group added, saying it would continue to "fight against vices and crime".
HTS occasionally carries out operations against IS-affiliated cells in the region -- Syria's last main jihadist and rebel bastion, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The war monitor, which relies on a network of sources inside Syria, said HTS had fought armed jihadists affiliated to IS in recent months.
HTS controls around half of Idlib province as well as slivers of territory in the neighboring provinces of Aleppo, Hama and Latakia.
In recent years, HTS has tried to cast itself as a more moderate player focused only on Syrian matters and condemning international terrorism.
The Idlib area is the last enclave to actively oppose the government of Bashir al-Assad.

US President Joe Biden said on Monday that Americans who are in Ukraine, aside from US diplomats, should leave the country because of the threat of invasion from Russia.
Biden spoke to reporters alongside German Chancellor Olaf Scholz after the two met in the White House, mainly discussing the tensions over Russia's troop buildup near its border with Ukraine.
Biden said he would hate to see Americans caught in the cross-fire in the event of an invasion.

[IsraelTimes] Belarus plans to deploy up to 200 troops to Syria to serve alongside Russian forces in the country, according to a Russian government document released Monday, a move strongly condemned by Belarus’ opposition leader.
A draft agreement between Russia and its ally, Belarus, endorsed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin says that the Belarusian troops will work to provide "humanitarian assistance" to the population outside combat zones.
The document, which is yet to be signed by the countries’ foreign and defense ministries, states that Belarusian troops will act under operational control of the Russian military in Syria when deployed to the country.
The planned deployment of Belarusian troops’ to Syria reflects increasingly close defense ties between the two ex-Soviet neighbors and allies.
In recent weeks, Russia has moved troops from Siberia and the Far East to Belarus for sweeping joint drills. The deployment added to the Russian military buildup near Ukraine, fueling Western fears of a possible invasion.
[FOX] Four people died in the early morning car crash on a Georgia interstate after authorities said the car attempted to evade law enforcement before apparently losing control and crashing into a line of trees in Monroe County, according to a report.
The Dodge Charger Scat Pack refused to comply with a traffic stop on I-75 at about midnight and traveled at speeds of up to 137 mph, Fox 5 Atlanta reported, citing the Monroe County Sheriff’s office. At one point, the car hit speeds of up to 170 mph while being pursued by deputies and deputies lost sight of the car. Having a seatbelt on doesn't matter when you impact trees at 170mph and turn into kindling
11 Alive reported that the car was located by a witness about five minutes later on fire off the side of the interstate.
Authorities said four people were pronounced dead at the scene and two were injured.
Deputies said they found three guns and 17 credit cards inside the car. The occupants of the car were all males. No, there was no further information on the potentially stolen firearms or credit cards. Thanks for asking.
