Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Why has Hezbollah escalated its rhetoric on arms?
[AnNahar] The issue of Hezbollah’s arms is "present on the table of indirect dialogue between President Joseph Aoun and Hezbollah’s leadership" and Speaker Nabih Knobby Berri

...perennial Speaker of the Lebanese parliament, head of the Amal Shiite party aligned with Hezbollah, a not very subtle sock puppet of the Medes and Persians...
is following up on the matter, the PSP’s al-Anbaa news portal quoted "credible sources" as saying.

The sources attributed the latest "conflicting stances" by Hezbollah’s leaders to "raising the ceiling of its demands regarding its role in the reconstruction of the South, its political future and the number of members who will be integrated into the army and security forces."

"What President Aoun mentioned prior to his travel to Doha about his rejection of repeating (Iraq’s) Popular Mobilization Forces in Leb
...home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade....
and his rejection of the creation of a special army unit for Hezbollah’s fighters are part of this dialogue, to which (Hezbollah chief Sheikh Naim) Qassem responded in an escalatory tone," the sources added.

"Some escalatory stances of Hezbollah’s leaders reflect personal wishes based on a wrong analysis of the U.S.-Iranian negotiations and of the directions of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard," the sources went on to say.

Fifth Column
Vile Iran proxies at the universities: week of 4/20-4/26
Just whatever I happened across as I looked for articles around the internet, in no particular order

Trump administration restores student visas, but impact on anti-Israel protesters unclear
[IsraelTimes] Officials suspend revocation of visas for those arrested until process can be refined, amid mounting public pressure. It was not immediately clear whether the reversals would affect any of the high-profile cases of students whose visas were revoked because of their participation in anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian protests.

Instead, the announcement related directly to a different set of revocations that have been more widespread: of students who had ever been arrested, even for minor infractions or who had charges dismissed. Those revocations, which have affected students from around the world studying across the country, have drawn more than 100 legal challenges and rulings against the government in at least 50 cases, according to Politico.
According to the Associated Press, over 1,800 international students across more than 280 U.S. colleges and universities, including prestigious institutions like Harvard, Stanford, and the University of California, were affected by the policy. The cancellations, which began under the Trump administration, were largely based on minor infractions such as traffic fines, dismissed charges, or in some cases, without any clear explanation. Some students were targeted for political activities, including supporting pro-Palestinian protests.
An interim step before resuming. Anyway, it accomplished the purpose.
Columbia Responds to Plans for a New Pro-Hamas Encampment on Campus
John Sexton

[HotAir] Yesterday we learned that pro-Hamas extremists at Columbia are planning to erect a new encampment on the school's campus sometime today. Planning for the new encampment has been taking place in secret.

The coordinating meeting took place at a community center on Tuesday night in Brooklyn’s Bushwick neighborhood, approximately 12 miles from campus, according to screenshots of Signal messages from organizers and a person who was at the meeting...

More than 100 people were present at the gathering and all wore masks to conceal their identities, according to the person...

The student organizers did not introduce speakers by name and instead used Signal usernames and code names — including the beloved Pokémon “Squirtle” and words such as “butterfly” — to distinguish one another, according to the recording.

Organizers have also refrained from referring to the upcoming encampments as "encampments," according to screenshots of Signal messages from the organizers and conversations with two people familiar with the planning for the protests. In writing, and verbally, participants have designated the encampments with a code name, the “circus."

Columbia caught wind of the report and put out a statement saying no new encampment would be allowed. Instead, they would be removed and anyone who refused to disperse could be arrested:

It's possible the plans for today are being delayed by escalation taking place on another campus nearby. CCNY announced the creation of a "liberated zone" on campus.

CUAD, the group behind Columbia protests/crimes was encouraging people to head over there. So was Within Our Lifetime. But it appears the liberate zone didn't stay liberated very long as police cracked down and used pepper spray on the liberators.

It's Amazing What a Little White House Browbeating of Schools Will Do to Address Antisemitism
[PJMedia] All during 2024, when Jewish students on campuses across the country were being roughed up, spat upon, even beaten by Hamas-supporting activists, the Biden administration threw up its hands, saying there was little it could do.

Flash forward to 2025, and it's a much different story. "Yalies4Palestine" tried to set up the kind of tent encampment we became familiar with last year, but within hours, it was taken down, the students dispersed, and most surprisingly, the Yalies4Palestinine, a chapter of the Students for Justice in Palestine, had been "unrecognized" by the university.

The wind has been taken out of the sails of the pro-Hamas demonstrations. It's just not cool anymore to be pro-terrorist.

“My sense is that being anti-Israel is not as much of the popular thing anymore,” Evan Cohen, a senior at the University of Michigan, said at a Wednesday webinar hosted by Hillel International.

There are several reasons for pro-Hamas protests fizzling to nothing, but the primary cause of the huge drop-off in Palestinian activism is the wind blowing from Washington. Republicans in Congress started the ball rolling last spring by dragging several Ivy League university presidents before congressional committees to explain why they allowed so much hate on their campuses. Their answers were appallingly unsatisfactory.

When Donald Trump took office, he immediately put the fear of Yahweh into schools. Lip service to protect Jewish students was no longer enough. Only concrete action would prevent the federal government from severely punishing schools that refused to crack down on antisemitism.

FBI reportedly raids anti-Israel group linked to demonstrations at U of Michigan
[IsraelTimes] The FBI and police raid the homes of anti-Israel activists tied to demonstrations at the University of Michigan, local media reports. The officers searched homes at the Michigan towns of Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, and Canton, the Detroit Metro Times reports, citing a statement from the state attorney general. The targets of the raid are US citizens and immigration enforcement is not involved, the report says. At one of the locations, several people were handcuffed and released after about 15 minutes, MLive, a local news site, reports.

An anti-Israel activist group, the Tahrir Coalition, first reported the raids.

Cornell cancels campus performance by singer who said ‘F— Israel,’ ‘long live the intifada’
[IsraelTimes] An R&B singer who said, “F— Israel” has been disinvited from performing at Cornell University’s end-of-semester concert following outcry from Jewish students.

After a student board announced on April 10 that the singer, Kehlani, would headline the school’s annual “Slope Day” concert, the student group Cornellians for Israel called on the school to rescind the pick. Initially, Cornell President Michael Kotlikoff told students that it was “too late” to secure another performer and that the school had altered her contract to mitigate any political displays. But in an email to the Cornell community this morning, Kotlikoff announces that Kehlani’s performance has been canceled.

US government texts dozens of Barnard College employees asking if they’re Jewish amid antisemitism probe
[IsraelTimes] Dozens of current and former employees at Barnard College have recently received text messages asking them if they’re Jewish, which after initial bewilderment have turned out to have been sent by the US federal government as part of the Trump administration’s efforts to probe the extent of antisemitism in the Columbia University affiliate, according to American media reports.

Mere 2doz anti-Israel protesters chain selves to Columbia U. gate
[IsraelTimes] Two dozen protesters block a gate into Columbia University to protest against the detention of two non-citizen anti-Israel protest leaders by the federal government. Some of the demonstrators attached to the gate with bicycle locks wrapped around their waists. The protest is on the sidewalk, on public property, but causes security to close the entrance.

Many of the protesters wear keffiyehs and face masks. Some wear attire identifying them as Jewish such as watermelon-patterned yarmulkes and shirts from the anti-Zionist Jewish Voice for Peace.

Afghanistan
Many former US allies in Afghanistan live in hiding, fearing persecution, says Middle East Institute
[KhaamaPress] The Middle East Institute reports that former U.S. allies in Afghanistan, fearing persecution, continue to live in hiding.

The Middle East Institute has reported that many Afghan former translators and assistants who worked with the U.S. military in Afghanistan continue to live in hiding, fearing retaliation from the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
. These individuals, who assisted U.S. forces during the war, are still facing the threat of harassment and violence. Despite the claims by the Trump administration that the situation in Afghanistan is conducive to the return of Afghan refugees, many are still unable to safely go back.

As of early 2025, around 110,000 Afghan refugees remain in Afghanistan, while 90,000 others are stranded in third-party countries. These individuals have already undergone long and rigorous vetting processes for resettlement but continue to wait for visa approval or relocation. The Trump administration took a significant step by suspending the Afghan refugee resettlement program, further complicating the fate of these vulnerable people.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has asserted that conditions in Afghanistan are stable enough for refugees to return. In April, the DHS officially revoked Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for thousands of Afghan nationals, including those who had previously been granted refugee status. This decision followed consultations between DHS officials and the U.S. State Department, who concluded that Afghanistan no longer met the legal criteria for offering protection to Afghan refugees.

Since August 2021, nearly 180,000 Afghan nationals have been admitted to the United States, with some receiving Special Immigrant Visas (SIV), which grant them a pathway to permanent residence. However,
corruption finds a dozen alibis for its evil deeds...
the Trump administration views the return of Afghan refugees from the U.S. as a national security necessity, further fueling concerns about the resettlement process’s integrity.

Security concerns have been raised about the screening of Afghan migrants colonists. A 2022 report from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Inspector General noted that over 79,000 Afghan migrants colonists had been accepted into the U.S. between July 2021 and January 2022. However,
corruption finds a dozen alibis for its evil deeds...
accusations were made about insufficient vetting, with over 1,400 individuals identified with possible links to ISIS-Khorasan, raising alarms about national security.

The Middle East Institute also highlights that the decision to expel Afghan refugees could be linked to recent interactions with the Taliban, including the release of several American hostages. The Trump administration’s push for cooperation with the Taliban on intelligence matters, particularly against terrorist groups operating in Afghanistan, might be influencing this policy. Furthermore, the U.S. has pressured the Taliban to recover and return leftover weapons, indicating the broader political strategy tied to these refugee decisions.

The situation of Afghan refugees remains a tragic and complex issue, with significant humanitarian, political, and security challenges. While some actions, such as the suspension of refugee resettlement programs, may be seen as necessary by the Trump administration for national security, they have also left thousands of vulnerable individuals without clear prospects for safety or resettlement.

EU allocates €250,000 to support Afghan migrants expelled from Pakistan April 25, 2025
All of which will be diverted to Talib pockets as their jizya entitlement. Happy with yourselves, guys?
[KhaamaPress] The EU has allocated €250,000 through the International Red Thingy to support Afghan migrants colonists expelled from Pakistain, providing essential aid.

The European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
has allocated €250,000 to the International Federation of Red Thingy in Afghanistan to assist Afghan migrants colonists recently expelled from Pakistain. This financial aid aims to address the urgent needs of Afghan migrants colonists in the country, particularly in providing shelter, healthcare services, clean drinking water, and food supplies.

Andreas Papaconstantinou, the European Commission’s Director for the Middle East and Central Asia, confirmed that the funds would be used to respond to the emergency situation faced by these migrants colonists. He explained that the aid would directly support thousands of Afghan refugees who have been left homeless and are struggling with severe economic difficulties.

In a tweet, Papaconstantinou highlighted the plight of the migrants colonists, saying, "Many of these migrants colonists have lost their homes and are now facing poverty and an uncertain future." He also mentioned that during his visit to Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistain's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire...
, he met with some of the Afghan migrants colonists and listened to their stories. He expressed deep admiration for their resilience and determination, stating, "I was deeply moved by the resilience and perseverance of these people. The EU will stand by them."

According to the United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
, in the past three weeks alone, approximately 120,000 Afghan migrants colonists have been expelled from Pakistain. This sharp increase in expulsions follows Pakistain’s decision to deport undocumented migrants colonists, leaving returnees to grapple with severe economic hardships and a lack of essential services in Afghanistan.

The EU’s swift response demonstrates a commitment to supporting vulnerable Afghan migrants colonists during this crisis. This financial aid highlights the ongoing challenges faced by refugees and underscores the need for continued international cooperation to alleviate the humanitarian burden on Afghanistan. Further support from global organizations will be crucial in ensuring the well-being of these displaced individuals as they rebuild their lives in a difficult environment.

Soldier and cop killed in Gaza City fighting, as IDF prepares to ramp up offensive

It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
City’s Shejaiya neighborhood on Friday afternoon, the military and police announced Saturday. The deadly incident came as the Israel Defense Forces said it was making preparations to significantly expand its offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip if the hostage negotiations with the terror group continue to stall.

The slain soldier was named as Cpt. Ido Voloch, 21, a platoon commander in the 401st Armored Brigade’s 46th Battalion, from Jerusalem, and the police officer was named as Sgt. Neta Yitzhak Kahane, of the Border Police’s Yamas covert unit.

According to an initial IDF probe, during operations in Shejaiya — about 1.5 kilometers deep inside Gaza — troops of the Jerusalem Reserve Infantry Brigade and members of the police’s Yamas unit set up an ambush in a building. Terror operatives arrived at the ambush site, and the Israeli forces opened fire on them at around 4:40 p.m. During an exchange of fire with the operatives, the Yamas officer was killed.

Rescue forces were then dispatched to the scene to extract the troops at the ambush site. Fifteen minutes after the initial exchange of fire, an army Humvee that tried to reach the area was hit by RPG fire, and one soldier was moderately maimed. Nearly an hour later, several IDF tanks, part of the rescue forces, came under RPG fire from the operatives in Shejaiya. At least five RPGs were launched at the tanks, one of which killed Voloch and lightly maimed another soldier. An hour after that, two reservists of the Jerusalem Brigade’s 7007th Battalion were moderately maimed by RPG fire and light arms in the same area.

The IDF has been operating in the Shejaiya area to expand its buffer zone along the border with Gaza.

Also on Friday, four soldiers were maimed in a Hamas attack in the southern Gaza Strip. The IDF said that the soldiers were hit by bombs and light arms fire, and not RPG fire, as a preliminary investigation had stated. One soldier was seriously maimed, one was listed in moderate condition, and two were lightly hurt. The incident took place in the Philadelphi Corridor area, next to the Tel Sultan neighborhood of Rafah. The IDF said the troops, some of whom were carrying out a logistics supply mission, returned fire after coming under attack.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, another bullet hole appeared in Butch's hat......
the military warned that as long as the hostage talks with Hamas fail to advance, its offensive against Hamas would intensify. Israeli officials have repeatedly warned that if no hostage deal is reached soon, the military would launch a major offensive aimed at defeating Hamas.

The intensified offensive would see the military call up a large number of reservists and operate in new areas of Gaza, according to the IDF. Three IDF divisions are currently operating in Gaza, in an offensive that the military has said is aimed at pressuring Hamas back into a hostage deal, and not destroying the terror group.

Also on Saturday, Hebrew-language media reported that Israel was considering setting up a new humanitarian zone in the southern Gaza Strip, where Paleostinians would be able to enter following a security screening. The new zone would be set up in the Rafah area, south of the IDF’s new Morag Corridor, which bisects Rafah from Khan Younis and the rest of the Strip. The area is currently depopulated.

According to the Kan public broadcaster and i24news, the plan included setting up a tent city in the area and allowing the delivery of humanitarian aid there to Paleostinians. Israel has halted the entry of aid to Gaza for over a month. The delivery of the aid would likely be carried out by a private American security firm or other international bodies, as the IDF has said it is against tasking troops with handing out aid to Paleostinians.

Since March 18, when Israel resumed its offensive against Hamas, the IDF said it has struck over 1,800 targets in Gaza. Over the past 48 hours, 120 targets were hit, the military said Saturday. The IDF also estimated that it has killed over 400 members of terror groups, including dozens of senior Hamas political officials and mid-level military wing commanders, during that time.

Over 2,100 Paleostinians have been killed in Gaza since Israel resumed hostilities there on March 18, out of more than 51,400 killed since the war there was sparked by the Hamas onslaught of October 7, 2023, according to the Hamas-controlled health ministry.

The Hamas-run ministry said Saturday that some 50 Paleostinians had been killed and another 100 were maimed over the previous 24 hours.

The figures cannot be independently verified, and do not distinguish between combatants and civilians. Israel says it has killed some 20,000 combatants in battle as of January, and another 1,600 bully boyz inside Israel during the Hamas onslaught.

The onslaught saw thousands of bully boyz storm southern Israel to kill some 1,200 people and take 251 hostages. Fifty-nine hostages remain in Gaza, including the body of a soldier killed fighting in the 2014 war there.

Israel’s toll in the ground offensive against Hamas in Gaza and in military operations along the border with the Strip stands at 414. The toll includes two coppers and two Defense Ministry civilian contractors.

In propaganda video, Hamas claims it rescued hostage from tunnel targeted in airstrike

[IsraelTimes] Hamas claims to have rescued an Israeli hostage from a tunnel allegedly targeted in an Israeli airstrike several days ago.

In a highly-produced propaganda video, Hamas operatives are seen digging in sand inside a tunnel, and calling on someone trapped inside. The terror operatives are heard speaking in Hebrew as they recover the person, an apparent Israeli hostage. The hostage is heard saying in Hebrew that he has difficulty breathing, as the Hamas operatives place an oxygen mask on him.

The terror group does not name the hostage, and says further details will be provided later.

The IDF has said that it does not carry out strikes in areas where it suspects hostages may be held by Hamas. Military officials have repeatedly said that every strike and ground operation in Gaza is carefully planned out in order not to endanger Israeli hostages.

Mass Return: Over 130,000 Afghan Migrants Repatriated from Pakistan, Iran
[To,oNews] The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that over 130,000 Afghan migrants colonists have returned from Pakistain and Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
between April 1 and 13.

According to the report, two million Afghans are expected to return from Iran and more than 1.6 million others from Pakistain this year.

The WHO stated: "These individuals have returned either forcibly or voluntarily, with 60% coming from Pakistain and 40% from Iran."

Raouf Mazou, Assistant High Commissioner for Operations at UNHCR, discussed the situation of Afghan migrants colonists in Pakistain with Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistain’s Special Representative for Afghanistan.

The Pak special representative wrote on X about the discussions during the meeting that: "International community resettled only 86,000 of Afghan nationals out of 800,000 who entered Pakistain after August 2021."

Reza Sakhi, an Afghan migrant in Pakistain, stated: "Migrant problems are numerous. Since March 31, the deadline, the issues have worsened—especially for those without documentation or expired visas. They have reapplied but received no assistance."

UFC Fighter Ahmad Hasanzada arrested on child abuse charges in California
[KhaamaPress] UFC fighter Ahmad Hasanzada was arrested in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, on serious charges of child sexual abuse, sparking widespread shock and concern.

A court in California has arrested Afghan UFC fighter Ahmad Hasanzada on charges of committing sexual acts against a child under the age of 14, a serious criminal offense in the United States.
Bringing the culture with him from the Olde Countrie — back home she’d already be grandmother.
According to AG Fight, the 28-year-old athlete was taken into custody last week in Sacramento. The charges carry greater legal weight due to the more than 10-year age gap between Hasanzada and the minor victim.

Initially held without bail, Hasanzada was later granted conditional release after the court set bail at $400,000. Despite the bail ruling, he remains in jug at the main Sacramento County Jail.

Hasanzada rose to prominence after winning a spot on Dana White’s Contender Series, which led to a contract with the UFC. He was scheduled to make his official UFC debut on April 26 in Kansas City.

So far, neither the UFC organization nor Hasanzada’s training team, Team Alpha Male, has issued any public statement regarding the arrest or the allegations.

Meanwhile,
...back at the desert island, Irene was indignant at the thought of doing such a thing without benefit of clergy...
sources close to the UFC, cited by sports journalist Marcel Dorff, have confirmed that the organization has terminated Hasanzada’s contract. His spot on the April 26 fight card will reportedly be filled by Gage Young.

This incident has drawn widespread attention and concern from both the Afghanistan’s community and the international MMA scene. Legal experts suggest that, if convicted, Hasanzada could face a lengthy prison sentence under California’s strict child protection laws.

Car ploughs through crowd in Vancouver
[IndianExpress] Nine people were killed and more injured after a man drove a car through a crowd in Vancouver, Canada, on Saturday (April 26), amid celebrations of a Filipino community festival.

The Vancouver police said the 30-year-old man has been arrested, and the "incident was not an act of terrorism".

Thousands had gathered in Vancouver to celebrate Lapu-Lapu Day when the man ploughed through the crowd, driving over the revellers.

April 27 was declared as Lapu-Lapu Day in British Columbia two years ago, in honour of the significant Filipino population in this Canadian province. What is the day, and why is it celebrated?

WHAT IS LAPU-LAPU DAY?
Lapu-Lapu Day is observed on the anniversary of the Battle of Mactan, fought in 1521. In this battle, the chieftain (or Datu) of the Mactan island, Lapulapu, defeated Spanish forces under Ferdinand Magellan. Magellan died of the injuries sustained in this battle, and Lapulapu is celebrated as a hero who defended his land against foreign invaders.

IDF warns South Beirut!!
[X]

From Grom’s Jerusalem Post link — where there is a very dramatic tweet of video of the single building struck (secondaries!):
The IDF struck Hezbollah infrastructure in the terror organization’s stronghold of Dahiyeh in southern Beirut, as the materials posed a significant threat to Israel, Defense Minister Israel Katz’s office confirmed on Sunday.

“Israel will not allow Hezbollah to build up its capabilities and pose any threat anywhere in Lebanon,” the ministry said. “The Lebanese government bears direct responsibility for preventing these threats.”

A source familiar with the details told The Jerusalem Post that the Trump administration was briefed before the attack occurred and “everything was coordinated.”

This was the first IDF attack in Lebanon and Hezbollah’s stronghold since two strikes in late March and early April, which had been the first strikes in Beirut since the November 27, 2024, ceasefire between the parties.

Vancouver driver plows into crowd of people attending Filipino festival, killing multiple victims
A detailed report with no useful information whatsoever. And very annoying that is, too, because a reasonable assumption is that the driver is either nuts, a gangster, or a jihadi.
[FoxNews] The suspect, a 30-year-old man from Vancouver, has been taken into custody, police said

A driver ran a car into a crowd at a Filipino festival in Vancouver, Canada, on Saturday night, leaving multiple victims dead and others injured, local authorities said.

At least nine people were killed when the driver plowed into a crowd at the Lapu Lapu Day block party shortly after 8 p.m., the Vancouver Police Department said in a social media post. The exact number of injured was not immediately available.

Police said the suspect is a 30-year-old man from Vancouver who was arrested at the scene. No further details about the suspect or a motive were immediately provided.

"At this time, we are confident that this incident was not an act of terrorism," police said in a post early Sunday.

The festival was being held in a South Vancouver neighborhood. Video posted on social media showed victims and debris strewn across a long stretch of road, with at least seven people lying immobile on the ground. A black SUV with a crumpled front section could be seen in still photos from the scene.
The Daily Mail adds:
The suspect who was arrested for killing at least nine people with his SUV at a festival in Vancouver, Canada, looked to the crowd and uttered 'I'm sorry' after the ordeal.

Chaos erupted at the Lapu Lapu Day festival when the vehicle rammed into people just after 8pm on Saturday night. An unnamed 30-year-old man was arrested.

Dead bodies and injured partygoers were seen along a narrow street in South Vancouver lined by food trucks. The front of the driver's SUV was smashed in.

Video circulating on social media showed a young man in a black hoodie with his back against a chain-link fence, alongside a security guard and surrounded by bystanders screaming and swearing at him, the Associated Press reported.

'I´m sorry,' the man said, holding his hand to his head, according to AP.

Interim Vancouver Police Chief Steve Rai declined to comment on the video, but said the person in custody was a 'lone male' who was 'known to police in certain circumstances.'

Cops ruled out that it was an act of terrorism.

Failed Iran Hostage Rescue Continues to Teach Lessons 45 Years Later
[DoD] Following Operation Eagle Claw, the 1980 Iran hostage rescue attempt, significant lessons were learned, including the need for the creation of a U.S. Special Operations Command and improved joint training, planning and execution.

Today, 45 years after Operation Eagle Claw, those lessons, as well as the professionalism and dedication of the service members involved in the ill-fated mission, were remembered during a ceremony held at Arlington National Cemetery.

OPERATION LEAD-UP
On Jan. 16, 1979, the pro-American Iranian government under Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi abdicated. In the weeks that followed, the U.S. evacuated about 54,000 military and civilians from Iran as Islamic fundamentalists, led by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, fomented anti-American demonstrations.

Right or wrong, from what I heard.
Putting together what I heard, I came away with the personal opinion feeling the mission was hamstrung due to, too many DOD branches involved and a lack of defined DOD leadership roles and DC needing a political solution.

More than a few said that's why JSOC & T-160 were created.

SCOTUS's Refusal To End Leftists' Judicial Coup Is Damaging Its Credibility More Than The Media Ever Could
[Federalist] Not a day seems to go by without some activist lower court judge issuing an overreaching injunction blocking part of President Trump’s agenda.
How can you further damage what you no longer possess ?
Throughout Wednesday and Thursday alone, judges across multiple venues handed down decrees barring numerous executive actions taken by the president since returning to office. From DEI to election policy, these cases are but a few of the more than 170 lawsuits Democrats and left-wing political actors have filed to sabotage Trump and the 77 million Americans who voted for him.
Despite this clear effort to destroy American democracy via a judicial coup, the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) seems to have no interest in stopping it. The nation’s highest court has had ample opportunities to halt these lower court judges’ destructive antics but has repeatedly declined to do so.

The first notable instance of this cowardice came to fruition in early March. In a 5-4 decision, a majority on the court declined a request from the Trump administration to shut down a ruling from a Biden-appointed district court judge. The judge had ordered the State Department and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to disburse roughly $2 billion in foreign grants to nongovernmental groups.

Snow hits 23-year low in the Himalayas ‐ now it is threatening 2 billion people
[NY Post] It has stopped snowing in the Himalayas.

As a result, the water supply two billion people is under threat.

The mountain range reaches 2500km from Afghanistan in the west to Myanmar in the east.

Its high peaks and valleys are covered in ice – or should be.

The annual cycle of melting snow feeds 12 major river basins that wind their way across the Central and East Asian landscape.

These are the major water sources for a dozen nations But measurements have revealed a steady decline in snow falling across the Himalayas in recent decades.
This season, it tumbled to an overall 23-year low.

“This is an alarming trend,” says International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) scientist Sher Muhammad.

“We are observing such deficit situations occurring in continuous succession.”

Some rivers are suffering more than others.

The HKH Snow Update 2025 report reveals snow catchments for the Mekong and Salwen Rivers that feed into Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia are worse than 50 per cent lower than average.

China’s Yangtze catchment has 26 percent less snow. The Ganges River of India and Bangladesh is down 24 percent.

As is the Indus that feeds Kashmir and Pakistan.

The reduced snowfalls would not be a problem if it were a one-off event, but the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) says this has happened in five out of the past six years.

It’s an acceleration of a trend observed over the past quarter century and the implications of this trend are enormous.

“Australian policymakers are vastly underestimating how climate change will disrupt national security and regional stability across the Indo-Pacific,” warns Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) analyst Mike Copage.

DRYING UP
Less snow in the Himalayas means less spring melt and less insulation for any ice or glaciers beneath.

USDA threatens Mexico's beef imports over fear of flesh-eating parasite spreading northward: report
[NY Post] The US Department of Agriculture reportedly warned Mexico it will cease all live animal imports unless the country enforces stronger measures to stop a flesh-eating parasite from spreading northward.

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins issued a scathing letter to her Mexican counterpart Saturday threatening to block the importation of live cattle, bison and horses if the government fails to combat the spread of New World screwworm by April 30, Fox News reported.

“We are now at a critical inflection point in our shared campaign against this pest, and I am very concerned about our collaboration,” the letter, obtained by Fox, said.

“The outbreak in southern Mexico continues to expand, and every day that passes without full deployment of sterile insect technique (SIT) operations represents a lost opportunity to contain this pest and prevent its spread beyond the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.”

The screwworm primarily targets the periphery of fresh wounds in warm-blooded animals — as well as birds, deer and humans — where it deposits hundreds of eggs that hatch into flesh-eating maggots, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The Dems' far-left agenda is just starting ‐ and the worst is yet to come
[NY Post] To most Americans, the big problem with the Democratic Party is that it has moved too far left in recent years. If you’re among those who believe that, brace yourself.

The worst is yet to come.

A serious push is underway to move the party even further away from the political center, embrace economic plans close to pure socialism and launch radical woke culture battles.

It sounds like a bad joke, but it’s really happening. And it’s a movement that goes beyond the socialist fever dreams of Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Although some of the push is a reaction to Donald Trump’s election in November and his embrace of America First policies, the fury reflects more than just Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Consider the lead sentence in a recent fundraising email.

“Democratic voters want a more progressive party,” began a pitch from a far-left group called Justice Democrats.

To my surprise, a legitimate national poll supports the claim, and others hint at the same trend.

Survey USA, in a poll taken earlier this month, found that 50% of Dems said they want the party to “become more progressive,” 24% said it should “stay the same” and just 18% said “become more moderate.”
Go for it, guys — become your truest selves to most efficiently drive away the rest of the normies, and sending even more of you into political exile.

Pete Hegseth Demolishes One of the Left's Power Centers in the Pentagon
[RedState] Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth shocked the Defense establishment Thursday when he ordered the dismissal of dozens of Defense advisory committee members. "To support the new strategic direction and policy priorities of the Department, we require fresh thinking to drive bold changes," wrote Hegseth in a memo dismissing the committee members. "Therefore, informed by the recently concluded 45-day review, I direct the conclusion of service of all members of each DoD advisory committee, board, or panel subject to the attached memorandum (hereafter collectively referred to as 'DoD advisory committees'), consistent with applicable law."

While most of the attention has focused on the demolition of the Defense Policy Board and the defenestration of Obama factotum and harbinger of geopolitical disaster, Susan Rice, the impact goes much farther; see Hegseth Makes Move About Advisory Board That's Sure to Infuriate Dems...Especially Susan Rice — RedState.

Federal advisory committees are ubiquitous. "Federal advisory committees are created by Congress, Presidents, and executive branch agencies to gain expertise and policy advice from individuals outside the federal government. While they may be called by other names—such as task forces, panels, commissions, working groups, boards, councils, or conferences—the practical purpose of federal advisory committees typically remains the same: to facilitate an exchange of policy ideas among experts and affected parties and to provide recommendations to the federal government. Since 1972, many federal advisory committees have been subject to the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA; 5 U.S.C. Chapter 10)."

The Department of Defense has 41 advisory committees created under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, ranking it fifth among federal agencies in terms of committees. Health and Human Services has about 260.
One or two makes sense, or even five or ten if they’re specialized, but these numbers are absurd. Are the committee members paid, or is this all from the nobility of their heart?

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syria's dangerous 'new face': Don't fall for Ahmed al-Sharaa's 'peace' scam
[IsraelNationalNews] The fall of Bashar al-Assad was supposed to signal the beginning of a new era in Syria. After years of civil war, mass slaughter, and regional chaos, many hoped that Assad’s downfall would allow for a genuine peace to emerge — a Syria rebuilt, reformed, and reintegrated into the global community.

But in the Middle East, hope is often the first casualty.

The reality on the ground tells a darker story. Assad may be gone, but the forces that sustained him have not disappeared. The Alawite sect, once his iron fist over Syria, remains intact, battered but dangerous, operating from the shadows. And in Assad’s place has emerged a new strongman: Ahmed al-Sharaa, a man Western policymakers are already dangerously close to misreading.

Sharaa presents himself as a pragmatist. He speaks the right language: peace with Israel, joining the Abraham Accords, removing foreign fighters, rebuilding Syria’s shattered economy. It is a tantalizing message, especially for an exhausted United States eager to disentangle from endless Middle Eastern entanglements, and for an Israel that prefers a quiet northern front to a chaotic one. Sharaa tells American congressmen and Israeli envoys what they want to hear — and they are tempted to believe him.

But belief in Sharaa’s promises is a mistake that could cost Israel dearly.

Ahmed al-Sharaa is no moderate. He is not a Gorbachev seeking glasnost. He is the polished product of a radical Islamist movement that cut its teeth on the battlefields of Syria’s civil war. His organization, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, was once Al-Qaeda’s affiliate in Syria. Though it rebranded and distanced itself from direct ties to al-Qaeda years ago, the underlying ideology — Islamist supremacism, militant opportunism — remains embedded in its DNA.

What Sharaa has mastered is not moderation, but marketing. He understands that in the post-Assad vacuum, survival depends not on brute force alone but on international legitimacy. He knows that Syria’s economy, decimated by war and international sanctions, cannot recover without foreign investment, aid, and a lifting of economic isolation. He knows that waving the banner of peace — however insincere — is his ticket to that relief.

This is not the first time the world has been tempted by promises of Syrian moderation. Hafez al-Assad and Bashar al-Assad both played this game expertly, promising cooperation when convenient, only to revert to terror and repression once their immediate goals were achieved. The Alawite regime survived not by embracing reform, but by weaponizing diplomacy, playing enemies against each other, and using periods of false peace to strengthen their grip.

Sharaa, for all his fresh image, is drawing from the same playbook.

His flirtation with normalization should be seen for what it is: an act of political desperation, not a sincere transformation. His regime faces internal instability, growing resentment from Syria’s Sunni majority, and the continued threat of insurgent groups. Economically, Syria is on life support, with entire sectors collapsed and basic services nonexistent. Joining the Abraham Accords, or at least talking about it, is a way to pry open the gates to international assistance — not a reflection of a real philosophical shift toward coexistence.

Israel, in particular, must approach Sharaa’s overtures with ice-cold skepticism. While he may speak of peace, Sharaa remains ideologically hostile to Israel’s existence. His Islamist backers still harbor deep-seated animosity toward the Jewish state. The Syrian people, after years of regime propaganda and a national narrative built around resistance to Israel, are not prepared for genuine normalization. Even if Sharaa were sincere, he would be politically incapable of delivering real peace.
Genuine peace - as distinct from submission to superior force - is, simply, not part of Arab Islamic "culture". Hell, history shows, it's not really a part of the rest of human cultures.
...The United States should be equally wary. The temptation to view Sharaa as a convenient partner for regional stability is strong, especially in a political climate where American voters want fewer foreign entanglements. But the lessons of the past two decades are clear: cosmetic moderation by authoritarian or Islamist leaders almost always conceals deeper currents of extremism and instability.

...For Israel, for the United States, and for anyone serious about regional stability, the correct posture is firm skepticism. Dialogue can occur, but without illusions. Military deterrence must be maintained. Economic pressure must remain until Sharaa proves, not with words but with irreversible actions, that he is willing to dismantle the Islamist and militant infrastructure that threatens the region.
A strong yes to every word.

Nearly 800 illegal aliens arrested in massive Florida ICE operation: 'Tidal Wave', 100+ arrested in raid on illegal Colorado Springs nightclub
[FoxNews] Multiple illegal aliens arrested had violent criminal convictions

In a groundbreaking joint effort, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Miami and Florida law enforcement agencies arrested nearly 800 illegal immigrants during the first four days of Operation Tidal Wave, a massive, multi-agency immigration enforcement crackdown.

Fox News obtained information on some of the ICE arrests from the ongoing operation, which include a convicted Colombian murderer, alleged MS-13 and 18th Street gang members and a Russian with an Interpol Red Notice for manslaughter.

Jose Sanchez Reyes, a Colombian illegal immigrant who entered the U.S. as a getaway, was convicted of homicide in his home country.

Rafael Juarex Cabrera, a Guatemalan illegal immigrant and alleged MS-13 gang member, has illegally reentered the U.S. three times and was convicted of felony reentry.

Savva Klishchevskii, a Russian illegal immigrant, has an Interpol Red Notice out of Russia for vehicular manslaughter.

Aron Isaak Morazan-Izaguirre, a Honduran illegal immigrant, is a known or suspected terrorist member of the 18th Street gang and has allegedly reentered the U.S. illegally two times.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement Miami and Florida law enforcement partnered to make the arrests. (ICE)

Operation Tidal Wave remains ongoing, and Florida continues to work with ICE to enhance President Donald Trump's mass deportation agenda.

Over 100 illegal migrants drop to the ground and are arrested as cops bust Colorado nightclub

[DM] More than 100 illegal migrants were dramatically arrested after cops swooped in and busted a nightclub in Colorado in the early hours of the morning.

The Rocky Mountain Division of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) led a multi-agency enforcement operation alongside local police and federal agents at 3am Sunday, the agency said.

Dozens of armed personnel were waiting outside the doors as partyers fled from the building - while women in dresses and heels looked bewildered at the ordeal.

Another woman, who was on the phone at the time, dropped to the ground while cops pointed guns in her direction after bashing in the door of the illicit establishment.

Another man ran out of the nightclub, and upon seeing the officers he desperately put both arms in the air and dropped to his knees. Another was seen on video dropping his bottle of beer on the ground before listening to cops' instructions.

Sirens glared in the background as officers shouted for people to get on the ground - while some of the revelers screamed and attempted to run away from the situation.

The operation itself was part of a probe into drug trafficking, prostitution and crimes of violence taking place in the club, the DEA added.

Authorities made their way to an underground nightclub in Colorado Springs - about an hour away from Aurora, where Venezuelan criminal organization Tren de Aragua is based.
Aren’t there and awful lot of current and former military there? You’d think illegals would find anywhere else more congenial…
Tren de Aragua, MS-13, and Hell's Angels gang members are known to frequent the underground club. It is unclear how many members were there at the time of the raid, DEA Special Agent in Charge Jonathan Pullen said.

More than a dozen active duty service members were also in the building, some as patrons and others working security.
Guess not. Huh.
The United States Army Criminal Investigation Division is now a part of the investigation into those individuals, Pullen said.
Good.
Many of those detained were not in the country legally and taken into Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody. Drugs and weapons were also seized during the operation, the agency said.

Pink cocaine, also known as 'tusi,' was among the drugs found, Pullin said. At least a dozen small packages of drugs were found as investigators are testing them to identify the substances.

Pullen said many of those detained will face federal immigration charges, while some were arrested with outstanding warrants.

It is unlikely they will face drug charges because it was hard to prove possession during the raid, he added.

This comes just after ICE agents arrested nearly 800 illegal immigrants after launching a statewide crackdown in Florida. Operation Tidal Wave - a joint effort by ICE agents, Homeland Security and local law enforcement - resulted in officers arresting 780 migrants. As part of the massive sweep, 275 people were arrested with final orders of removal, meaning a court has mandated that they leave the country already.

ICE had used their 287(g) authority which allows for state and local law enforcement to be deputized and to arrest those in the US illegally.

The Trump administration has sought to bring in local authorities to help in their immigration operations to speed up deportations.

'This is one of the first large-scale missions we've done like this ever,' ICE director Todd Lyons told ABC News.

'We brought a "whole the government" approach with cooperative jurisdictions that want to help ICE secure communities in neighborhoods and remove public safety threats from our neighborhoods.'

The estimated 10.5M US illegals here already. are costing Taxpayers about $155 Billion a year in various ways.

Which is roughly $14.7K per Illegal.

According to sources, since Trump took office, roughly 150.8K illegals have been deported and at least that many BLOCKED from entering. Despite Liberal Democrap's whinings.

ICE has saved US Taxpayers $2.2B in just 100 days for just those deported.

In short, ICE maybe saving the US Taxpayers more than its annual budget.
But there is still roughly 10,349,200 to go, and the low-hanging fruit will get thinner.

#3  As the atmosphere becomes unwelcoming and the benefits evaporate, more and more people are reportedly self-deporting, NN1N2. There will indeed be less low-hanging fruit, but it will become ever easier to identify.

By the end of Trump’s previous term, it was reported that more had self-deported than arrived during his term, leading to shrinkage of the illegal population.

US and Iran make ''very serious'' progress toward new nuclear deal after Oman talks, eye Europe next
[NYPOST] The US and Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
made ''very serious'' progress toward a new nuclear deal during marathon negotiations Saturday in Oman — with both sides exchanging written proposals for the first time and eyeing further talks as soon as next week.

A senior US official told The Post the four-hour talks with Tehran were ''positive and productive'' but still cautioned that ''there is still much to do.''

''We agreed to meet again soon, in Europe, and we thank our Omani partners for facilitating these talks,'' the official added.

US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff arrived in Oman fresh off a Friday meeting in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...

Trump: Prepared to Attack Iran 'Willingly' With No Nuclear Deal

[NewsMax] President Donald Trump

warned that he could "very willingly" order the U.S. military to take out Iran's nuclear facilities if negotiations between the two countries fail to produce an agreement.

Trump has repeatedly said Iran cannot be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.

Negotiations between Iran and the U.S. over Tehran's rapidly advancing nuclear program will return Saturday to the secluded sultanate of Oman, where experts on both sides will start hammering the technical details of any possible deal.

The talks seek to limit Iran's nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of some of the crushing economic sanctions the U.S. has imposed on the Islamic Theocratic RepublicTrump repeatedly has threatened to unleash Arclight airstrike

s targeting Iran's program if a deal isn't reached. Iranian officials increasingly warn that they could pursue a nuclear weapon with their stockpile of uranium enriched to near weapons-grade levels.

During an interview with Time magazine, Trump was asked whether he was "worried" Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would drag the U.S. into a war.

"No," said the president, who continued his answer after the questioner attempted to change topics.

"[H]e may go into a war. But we're not getting dragged in."

Did that mean the U.S. will stay out if Israel goes into Iran?

"No, I didn't say that," Trump said. "You asked if he'd [Netanyahu] drag me in, like I'd go in unwillingly. No, I may go in very willingly if we can't get a deal. If we don't make a deal, I'll be leading the pack."

Trump was asked about a report that he stopped Israel from attacking Iran.

"That's not right," Trump said. "No, it's not right. I didn't stop them. But I didn't make it comfortable for them, because I think we can make a deal without the attack. I hope we can. It's possible we'll have to attack because Iran will not have a nuclear weapon. But I didn't make it comfortable for them, but I didn't say no. Ultimately, I was going to leave that choice to them, but I said I would much prefer a deal than bombs being dropped."

BIG BREAKING
The suspect in the House of Pahalgam terror attack, Ahsan ul Haq Sheikh, was killed in a blast in the Murran area of Pulwama in South Kashmir. Ahsan, who had received training in Pakistan in 2018, had recently returned to the Valley.

Women With Pakistan Connection Asked To Leave India Over Pahalgam Attack
[OneIndia] The social media attack against Sania Mirza started after videos of Muslim women speaking about the separation of their family members over the visa cancellation. Many women are stranded in Attar border as the authorities have denied permission to enter the country.

"I am an Indian citizen who got married in Pakistan 10 years ago. Both of my children were born in India, but they hold Pakistani passports. Due to current restrictions, only individuals holding a green passport are being allowed to cross the border. As someone with an Indian passport, I am unable to join my children. I humbly request the government to kindly consider my situation and grant me permission to cross the border," Indian Express quoted a woman at Attari-Wagah border as saying.

Sadvi Alvi, an Indian passport holder and married in Pakistan, was spotted at the Attari border with her son as she to leave. "My five-year-old son is a Pakistani national. He has to go back as the Indian government has ordered all Pakistanis to leave the country in 48 hours, but he cannot travel alone. Nobody is there to take care of my child in Pakistan as my mother-in-law is bedridden. My visa was still valid for more than two months, Please help me.''

A Deputy Passport Officer had earlier told the English publication: "A child having parents of two different nationalities used to automatically get an Indian passport if he or she was born in India. But the rules have changed. Now, the child's name has to be registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs to get an Indian passport."

Pakistan Deploys Army Near Rajasthan Border After Pahalgam Attack
[OneIndia] As India steps up search efforts and finds local militants connected to Pakistan-based terror groups, Pakistan has stationed its army in bunkers close to the Rajasthan border in the wake of the deadly Pahalgam terror attack. Reports state that the growing security worries in the area have prompted the Pakistani troops to stay in bunkers. As part of increased security, the Border Action Team (BAT) and Pakistani Rangers have been positioned in these bunkers. In addition, as the situation worsens, a medical team in Sindh has practiced a war drill, indicating Pakistan's readiness for possible confrontation.

This action comes after the devastating terrorist attack that claimed the lives of several Indians in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Concern has been generated in Pakistan by India's prompt response and strong military posture. Pakistan has taken precautionary measures along its border with Rajasthan in response to the rising tension, which is a reflection of worries about India's willingness to take action.

India TV claims that in response to the growing threat of cross-border terrorism, the country has begun a massive security operation. To find militants who are thought to have been trained and assisted by terror groups located in Pakistan, authorities are coordinating their efforts.

SOUTH KASHMIR SEARCH OPERATIONS ARE UNDERWAY
Security forces, such as the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), have begun a massive cordon-and-search operation in South Kashmir. The staff is making sure that every place is carefully inspected by performing in-depth searches of residences and rooms. As part of the security steps to capture possible extremists, roads are also being cleared. India's continuous efforts to uphold security and take firm action against the menace of terrorism include these measures.

THE LIST OF 14 LOCAL MILITANTS IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR IS RELEASED BY INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES.
Indian intelligence services have created a list of 14 local militants active in Jammu and Kashmir in reaction to the terrorist incident in Pahalgam. These militants, who range in age from 20 to 40, have been helping foreign extremists who are infiltrating the area from Pakistan by offering them logistical support. The affiliations of these terrorists with Hizbul Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), three significant terror groups located in Pakistan, have been verified by sources.

These militants are believed to be actively collaborating with Pakistan-based terror outfits, contributing to the ongoing unrest in the region. Authorities have vowed to take strict action to neutralize these threats and ensure the safety of civilians. The arrest and dismantling of these militants' network is considered critical in curbing the cross-border terrorism linked to Pakistan.

Lefty judge threatens to close court, start raising bail money for defendants after feds arrested Judge Hannah Dugan for allegedly helping illegal migrant avoid ICE
[NYPOST] A lefty Wisconsin jurist is threatening not to hold court following Friday's arrest of Milwaukee judge for allegedly helping a Mexican illegal migrant evade federal immigration officers.

Monica Isham, a circuit judge Sawyer County, defended Judge Hannah Dugan Saturday, claiming in an email to other state judges that she ''has no intention of allowing anyone to be taken out of my courtroom by [Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents] and sent to a concentration camp,'' Wisconsin Right Now first reported.

Isham, who in 2023 became the first Native American elected to the county's circuit court, also threatened to ''start raising bail money'' for defendants.

''Yesterday, Judge Hannah Dugan of Milwaukee County stood on her Oath in the very building she swore to uphold it and she was arrested and charged with felonies for it,'' Isham wrote.

''Enough is enough. I no longer feel protected or respected as a Judge in this administration. If there is no guidance for us and no support for us, I will refuse to hold court in Branch 2 in Sawyer County. I will not put myself or my staff who may feel compelled to help me or my community in [harm's] way.''

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Kursk region liberated
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:

[ColonelCassad] Chief of General Staff Gerasimov reported to Putin about the liberation of the Kursk region.

Gornal was liberated today. Thus, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been driven out of all settlements in the Kursk region.

Irrecoverable losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from August 6, 2024 to April 26, 2025 in the Kursk region exceeded 76,000 people.

Operation Potok played a decisive role in the success of the Russian troops, which led to the collapse of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense in the Kursk region.

The plans of the Zelensky regime to exchange the occupied territories of the Kursk region for at least something were successfully thwarted.

Gerasimov also confirmed that North Korean troops participated in operations in the Kursk region and showed great heroism in these battles shoulder to shoulder with our troops. Thanks to Comrade Kim Jong-un and the North Koreans. True brothers in arms.

It is just a fact - Russia's closest military ally at the moment is communist North Korea.

Gerasimov's statement about DPRK troops.

About North Koreans.

1. Things have already arrived, including with their own equipment - self-propelled guns, multiple launch rocket systems, and operational missile systems.

2. They took an active part in the assault operations in a number of areas of the Kursk salient.

3. Thanks to the courage of their infantry and special forces, a number of settlements in the Kursk region were liberated. It is especially worth noting the North Korean "SSOshniks", who demonstrated a high level of training.

4. As our fighters also suffered losses. For the Koreans, this war was an opportunity to gain unique experience of modern warfare, which will certainly be used in the modernization of the armed forces of the DPRK.

5. Just as during the operation of the "polite people" in Crimea, their presence was not officially acknowledged. When the time came, they officially acknowledged it. In the West, this approach is called part of the "Gerasimov doctrine" reflecting the Russian view of the concept of hybrid warfare.

Peace to the ashes of the fallen North Korean fighters and thank you to those who stood shoulder to shoulder with us in the battles in the Kursk region. Just as our military advisers once fought together with the North Koreans against the USA during the Korean War.

Liberation of Gornal.

Truth in Labelling - Non-warranted Item
[TWZ] StormBreaker Advanced Glide Bomb Lands In Yemen Largely Intact. The cutting-edge StormBreaker was only recently confirmed as being used in combat and could be of major intelligence value to an adversary.

The wreckage of a GBU-53/B StormBreaker glide bomb, also known as the Small Diameter Bomb II (SDB II), has appeared in Yemen. The weapon, which was only recently confirmed as being used in combat in that country, offers some very advanced capabilities, especially over the previous GBU-39/B SDB I. It is set to become one of America’s most important and widely employed weapons, across its own aerial fleets and many of its allies. With that in mind, the technological risk of the remains of this still near-completely intact weapon falling into an adversary’s hands is significant.

Photos showing the StormBreaker laying in the sand began to circulate recently on social media. Reportedly, the weapon was found by citizens in the Asilan area within the Shabwah governorate, a region in southeast Yemen (not in the northeast of the country, as some accounts have implied). The weapon has clearly not detonated and appears to have had its impact cushioned by desert sand, leaving it in one piece. Its pop-out wings are seen in a partially deployed position.

Ed,

From personal knowledge, I trust our nukes, and those of the British and French as well.

The Chinese are probably some distance north of 50%.

The Russians, quite frankly, are more likely to kill you dropping it on your head than trying to set it off.

The Norks have nuclear devices, not weapons. I would be very surprised if they have functioning, reliable missile warheads.

StormBreaker has been in service for nearly 11 years, and it's early 2000s tech. Not good that the bad guys can get one; not a whole lot anybody can do with it.

#2  Clonskeagh Mosque remains shuttered this afternoon as rumours circulate among the Dublin Ummah, ranging from American FBI agents to links to Islamic extremism following an ‘unprecedented incident’ reported by the facility’s management.
In the aftermath of the as-of-yet ambiguous altercation on April 19th, the mosque and the community behind it have been in disarray, with Shaykh Dr Umar Al-Qadri vaguely declaring the centre to be in a “transitional period.”

Serving as a religious, educational, and cultural hub since 1996, the mosque has been dogged by repeated accusations of ties to the Muslim Brotherhood since a leaked US diplomatic cable aired by WikiLeaks revealed fears of Islamist penetration.
Financial auditors from Deloitte have criticised the mosque for its sloppy handling of foreign cash, with resident academic Dr. Ali Selim coming to national prominence for his support of the practice of female genital mutilation in 2018.
Regardless, the mosque authorities have maintained what they say is a zero-tolerance policy towards extremism.
For background context, the mosque and adjacent ‘cultural centre’ are funded by the Al Maktoum Foundation, a charitable organisation established by the eponymous Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of the UAE.

Home Front: WoT
Self-proclaimed Hamas operative in US Air Force indicted over pipe bomb plot
[NYPOST] A self-described Hamas
..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,...
operative who infiltrated the US Air Force and once boasted that he's ''been a terrorist since he's been a kid'' was hit with additional charges this week alongside two Pittsburgh women after the feds foiled an apparent terror plot involving a pair of pipe bombs.

Mohamad Hamad, 23, who has dual citizenship in the US and Leb
...Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects....
, was already charged for defacing a synagogue was hit Tuesday with a nine-count superseding indictment along with Talya Lubit, 24, and Micaiah Collins, 22.

''Mohamad Hamad lied about his loyalty to the United States, among other false statements, in an attempt to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance,'' Acting US Attorney Troy Rivetti said.

"During that time, he openly expressed support for Lebanon, Hezbollah, and Hamas. In addition to his previously charged role in defacing Jewish religious property, he also conspired with others named in this Superseding Indictment to manufacture and detonate destructive devices."

Hamad and Lubit, were both previously indicted for scrawling red anti-Zionist graffiti on the Chabad of Squirrel Hill’s synagogue and defacing the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh’s office building.

The new charges center around Hamad’s alleged lying to federal officials during his bid to gain a top-secret security clearance and his development of bombs.

Shortly after enlisting in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, a reserve component of the Air Force, in June 2023, Hamad, who lived in Coraopolis, Pa., privately messaged an associate in Ohio that "[i]t’s still Paleostine on top though make no mistake," prosecutors allege.

During his Air Force training, Hamad privately shared footage of Hamas’ violent mostly peaceful attacks against Israel with an associate and wrote that "Us Moslems never surrender or back down," the indictment claims.

In December of 2023, Hamad completed the paperwork to obtain a top-secret security clearance and later had three interviews and a background check with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, during which he allegedly lied about his loyalty to the US.

"Been a terrorist since I was a kid in Lebanon, real s—t," Hamad wrote in a June 2024 Signal message to Collins alongside a photo of him as a child holding up a gun, prosecutors said.

Around that time, Hamad and Collins conspired to develop a "destructive device" and detonated a prototype, while musing over the damage it could do.

"That s—t was a blast," Hamad wrote in a July 7, 2024 message to Collins per prosecutors.

Hamad later built two pipe bombs and additional "destructive devices" before detonating them as well.

Following the initial test explosion, Hamad proudly declared himself a "Hamas operative" in private messages and mused about the "terror" residents may have felt if they saw him dressed in a mask while ripping up Israeli flags in "white suburbia," the indictment alleges.

On Instagram, Hamad paid homage to Hamas leaders, writing, "Without these men our resistance would be 100 years behind."

Prosecutors did not divulge any specific plot Hamad may have had with the bombs.

Later that July, he and Lubit scrawled red "Jews 4 Paleostine" graffiti on Chabad of Squirrel Hill and "Funds Genocide Jews, Hate Zionists" on the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh’s office building.

"I can literally feel myself starting to see Jews as my enemies," Lubit wrote in a message to Hamad that July.

"Like, I’m ANGRY. I’m so tired of feeling like being Jewish means I have to second guess being anti oppression," she said in another message. "

I will not survive being Jewish if I don’t learn to get past that. I’ll just end up abandoning it."
You already have, O evil child. Please make it official.
Lubit also allegedly helped Hamad identify Jewish buildings in the area to target.

Authorities ultimately traced the graffiti back to Hamad and later uncovered his development of pipe bombs and other bombs, according to the FBI.

"We always rely on tips from the public," a spokesperson told The Post. "This really started with the vandalism to the religious institutions here ... determining the suspects in that and determining what their motivations were for the fairly strict criteria for a federal hate crime."

Both Hamad and Lubit have a history of supporting "Squad" reps in Congress.

Hamad gave $10 to Rep. Ilhan Omar
...Somali-American Dem representative from Minnesota. She was apparently married to her brother and may be her own grandmaw on her mother's side. She is a member of The Squad, and would like to make the country look a lot more like Mogadishu...
(D-Minn.) in 2023 after she publicly pushed for a ceasefire shortly after Hamas’ deadly Oct. 7, 2023, surprise attack against Israel.

He also gave $5 to Rep. Rashida Tlaib
...the very first ever Paleostinian-American ever sworn into Congress in 2019. She is a member of The Squad and consistently votes against the U.S. national interest. She's a Dem, naturally, from a safe district you wouldn't want to live in (Michigan's 12th congressional district). She wants the country to be kinda like Gaza only without any Jews for neighbors...
(D-Mich.) last year after she was censured by Congress for calling Israel an "apartheid government" and defending the Paleostinian "resistance."

Lubit joined over 130 Jews in signing a letter defending Rep. Summer Lee (D-Pa.), who pushed for a ceasefire less than two weeks after the Oct. 7, 2023, attack.

Hamad is facing charges for making false statements, possession of destructive devices, conspiracy, defacing and damaging a religious building, the Justice Department announced Wednesday.

If convicted, he could get sentenced to up to 10 years behind bars and get hit with up to $250,000 in fines.

Collins is also facing charges of conspiracy, which entails up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Lubit is facing charges for conspiracy and defacing and damaging a religious building, which includes up to one year in prison and a $100,000 fine.

"The FBI and our partners are committed to investigating and prosecuting individuals who reportedly choose to lie about being loyal to this country and instead engage in dangerous, menacing, and illegal activities," FBI Pittsburgh Special Agent in Charge Kevin Rojek said in a statement.

Again, Boko Haram kill 12 in Borno village of Gwoza LG - Vanguard News
[VANGUARDNGR] No fewer than 12 people were killed by suspected Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
Lions of Islam along Kirawa road and Bokko Ghide community of Pulka District in Gwoza local government area of Borno state in the last 24 hours.

This is as the Emir of Gwoza, HRH Alhaji Mohammed Shehu Timta confirmed to our Correspondent that two of the victims killed along Kirawa road ambush on Friday 25th April, 2025 were members of the Civilian Joint Task Force, while the other 10 victims are firewood scavengers who were also ambushed and killed on Saturday 26th April, 2025.

Timta who decried the spate of killings in recent times on Gwoza communities and other locations, expressed shock that such renewed attacks, if not checked, would sabotage the efforts of Borno State Government and the military in its ongoing reconstruction, rehabilitation and resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons.

These latest attacks were coming barely a day after the State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, called on the military to launch aggressive operations to eliminate snuffies from their enclaves.

Governor Zulum made the appeal at the weekend while receiving a high-level Federal Government delegation led by the Honourable Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Minister of State for Defence, Chief of Defence Staff and other military chiefs during a courtesy visit at the Council Chamber of the Government House in Maiduguri.

'' It is unfortunate that two of my people who are members of the Civilian Joint Task Force were ambushed and killed along Kirawa road on Friday, while another 10 civilians who went to a nearby bush to scavenge firewood were killed today (Saturday), with two others sustaining serious injuries.

''We have since buried the victims today according to their religious rites, while the injured ones were evacuated to Maiduguri for treatment.

''Let me use this opportunity to pray Allah to grant Aljanatul Firdaus to the souls of the departed, and quick recovery to the injured ones.

Imam from Khasavyurt released by security forces
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The imam of the Central Juma Mosque in Khasavyurt,
…in Dagestan…
Yahya Magomedov, who was detained this morning after a search, was released by security forces.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, this morning the security forces detained the imam of the mosque in Khasavyurt, Yahya Magomedov, and his eldest son, after a search of their house they were taken to Makhachkala. The son has already been released.

The imam of the central mosque of Khasavyurt, Yahya Magomedov, a native of the Tsumadinsky district, is considered the leader of a religious group that considers itself to be Ash'harites,
…one of the three main schools of Sunni Islam, apparently. They’re keen on what they think of as rationalism…
which has formed around the oldest Islamic university in modern Dagestan. They have no religious disagreements with the muftiate. However, the muftiate, in the opinion of the Tsumadin residents, does not want this group to become stronger, according to the reference material of the "Caucasian Knot" "Conflict in Agvali: Jamaat versus the Muftiate".
Heaven forbid the rationalists in their midst be mainstreamed. Some things simply cannot be allowed, like acknowledging that those MAGA people are fully human.
Imam of the Khasavyurt mosque Yahya Magomedov and his eldest son Muhammadsaygid have been released, blogger Rasul Asad reported today in his Telegram channel "Ask Rasul". The source of this information, as well as the reasons for the detention, are not indicated in the message.

As of 20:30 Moscow time, the websites of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigative Committee of Dagestan, as well as the agencies’ Telegram channels, do not contain any information about Magomedov’s detention or the reasons for it.

"Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote that the document checks in Khasavyurt, which took place on April 19-20, were connected with the search for suspects in the crime, and the girls in niqabs, the video of whose detention was distributed on social networks, did not have documents with them, explained the Ministry of Nationalities of Dagestan. The department denied the involvement of the Muftiate of Dagestan in the actions of the security forces.

A temporary ban on wearing niqabs has been introduced in Dagestan; it will be in effect until a new theological opinion, the republic's Muftiate announced on July 3, 2024. Statements by representatives of the Islamic clergy on the issue of the fatwa on the niqab have sparked a debate about the presence of "radical" mosques in Dagestan and, on the contrary, those loyal to the Muftiate. Disputes have also arisen about whether the ban is mandatory or advisory in nature. The "Caucasian Knot" reference " Fatwa on the ban on the niqab - a law or a recommendation " contains expert opinions on whether the ban of the Muftiate of Dagestan will be implemented.

Sometimes they come back. Who brought cholera to Russian cities
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Daniil Moskovsky

[REGNUM] Two cases of cholera found in travellers returning from India are a reminder of the dangers of infections thought to have been eradicated.
Even in the West we are inundated with old diseases brought by those coming from the Third World. This cannot possibly be a new experience for Russia.
The first case was recorded in the Moscow region. The sick man spent nine days in India, he traveled to different cities and also visited Nepal. He drank filtered tap water
…ahhh, there was his mistake…
and ate at local establishments. The second case was detected in a resident of the Voronezh region who arrived on the same flight.

After the first patient was discovered, specialists quickly identified all the people in 33 regions of Russia with whom he had been in contact, which allowed them to quickly find the second infected person. He is currently in a medical facility without any visible symptoms.

Epidemiologist Elizaveta Dubel, in a conversation with the Regnum news agency, notes: "Cholera cases are periodically imported into Russia. Therefore, all our medical organizations must be ready to receive such patients. Timely detection allows us to minimize the risks of infection spreading."

MEDICAL HISTORY
Cholera is an acute intestinal infection. Since the early 19th century, there have been seven pandemics worldwide, claiming millions of lives. The introduction of sanitary standards and access to clean water have reduced the incidence of the disease in developed countries.

"Cholera is a severe diarrheal disease that, if left untreated, can be fatal in a matter of hours. Rapid treatment is of critical importance," infectious disease specialist Lilit Arakelyan warns in a conversation with Regnum News Agency.

Contrary to popular belief, cholera has not been completely eradicated. “In April 2025, the WHO reported at least 810,000 cases and 5,900 deaths worldwide in 2024, ” says Elizaveta Dubel. “For many countries, cholera remains an endemic infectious disease.”

Arakelyan emphasizes that cholera epidemic outbreaks are registered in African countries (Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria, Cameroon, Mozambique, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia, Benin, Malawi), South and Southeast Asia (India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines), and America (Haiti, Dominican Republic).

In India, where the infected tourists returned from, cholera is a constant presence, especially in rural areas and urban slums with limited access to clean water and proper sanitation. Periodic outbreaks are reported in different states of the country, especially during the monsoon season.
Indeed.
The main symptom of cholera is watery diarrhea. “Symptoms usually appear between 12 hours and five days after infection. Many infected people have no symptoms or mild forms of the disease. But cholera is easily curable. The most important thing is to replenish the body’s water balance,” explains Lilit Arakelyan.

And he draws attention to the antibiotic resistance that has become widespread in recent times: "People are dying now because it is not always possible to select antibacterial therapy. Uncontrolled use of antibiotics for every acute respiratory viral infection leads to the fact that when we need antibacterial therapy, for example, for cholera, antibiotics may not work."
Why American doctors have greatly reduced prescribing antibiotics prophylactically for colds, leading to a higher incidence of secondary infections but slowing the growth of resistance, in the hope that the scientists will discover new antibiotics before it is entirely too late.
CONSTANT TEACHINGS
The return of “forgotten” infections is due to several reasons. Globalization and tourism allow people to travel between countries in hours, creating conditions for the spread of infections. Uncontrolled urbanization increases population density, facilitating the transmission of pathogens. And advances in medicine lead to a decrease in the vigilance of the population and doctors.

"The spread of infection is facilitated by unfavorable social and living conditions, low literacy levels of the population. And any man-made or natural disaster increases the intensity of the epidemic process," adds Elizaveta Dubel.

In order for Russia to be fully prepared, Rospotrebnadzor regularly conducts tactical and special exercises in various regions of the country. In the last days of April alone, they took place at the airports of Ulyanovsk, Syktyvkar, Irkutsk and other cities.

According to their typical scenario, a passenger with cholera symptoms is found on board an arriving plane, after which all necessary services are activated. Such exercises allow for the development of algorithms for interaction between services, which is especially important in the context of large-scale migration flows.

"Our country also has a "sanitary shield" system to prevent the import of infectious diseases. Epidemiologists constantly monitor the situation abroad, strengthening anti-epidemic measures if necessary," says Dubel.

HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF
Prevention of cholera while traveling comes down to following simple rules.

"The basis is vaccination. You should also avoid countries and regions with regular outbreaks, eat only thermally processed or well-washed food, drink only clean water from reliable sources, preferably bottled, and wash your hands regularly," advises Lilit Arakelyan.

As for vaccination, the expert said there are several WHO prequalified cholera vaccines. All vaccines are two-dose to ensure full protection.

In turn, Elizaveta Dubel says that there is no need to be overly afraid of infection with known infections: "It is absolutely impossible to predict the development of epidemics. No one predicted the situation with COVID-19 at all. Therefore, it is worth fearing not those infections that are well studied, but new ones, against which humanity has no protection."

The detection of cholera cases in Russia is not a reason to panic, but a reminder that even in the 21st century, humanity is not completely protected from the “diseases of the past.” The return of infections is a natural result of globalization, climate change, and uneven development of healthcare in different countries.

The cases in tourists returning from India demonstrated both the effectiveness of Russia's epidemiological surveillance system and the importance of following preventive measures when travelling to endemic regions.

As long as there are places in the world with insufficient health care and sanitation, the threat of the return of “forgotten” diseases will remain. Therefore, timely prevention and vigilance remain key factors in the fight against them.

Just in time, though perhaps not yet for cholera: Newly Discovered Antibiotic Could Fight One of The Nastiest Superbugs — new variation of alkyl quinolones appears to cause gonorrhea bacterium to self-destruct.

Amateur treasure hunter finds nearly 1,500 ancient Roman coins in Romania
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] In Romania, amateur treasure hunter Bebe Manjak has found almost 1,500 ancient Roman silver coins. This was reported by the Jam Press agency.

According to the agency, the 43-year-old man decided to walk with a metal detector through the hilly terrain near the village of Letki-Veke. During the walk, his detector found something metallic at a shallow depth. Manjak began to push aside the upper layers of soil, and soon he began to come across silver coins.

"The coins kept coming up. My hands were shaking. I didn't want to leave anything behind. When you realize you've made a hard-won discovery, part of you wants to celebrate, and another, more instinctive part of you tells you to hurry," he said.

The publication specifies that the treasure hunter eventually found 1,469 silver denarii that had been buried in that location about 1,700 years ago. Some of the coins depicted the Roman emperor Trajan, who ruled in the 1st–2nd centuries AD. Manjak also dug up ceramic shards.

The man specified that, according to Romanian law, he had only 72 hours to hand over the artifacts to the authorities. At the same time, if the find is classified as treasure, the finder is offered a reward of 45% of its value. In the end, he met the deadline, but the total value of the find remains unknown.

It was also specified that Manjak gave the authorities the coordinates of the place where the coins were found, and archaeological excavations will be organized there.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, in September 2024, specialists from the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences discovered a treasure trove during excavations in Veliky Novgorod dating back to the last quarter of the 10th century. The treasures were located on the Sofia side of the city. The hoard contained about 1.9 thousand items, of which 1.8 thousand were silver coins. We are mainly talking about dirhams of the Arab Caliphate. According to archaeologists, the oldest of the coins was issued between 974 and 975. In addition, the institute's employees found about 80 pieces of jewelry.

Suspect in General Moskalik's Murder Confesses
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The suspect in the murder of Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik, has confessed. The corresponding video was published by the Public Relations Center (PRC) of the FSB of Russia.

The service published a video recording of the interrogation of the detained agent of the Ukrainian special services Ignat Kuzin. He said that he was recruited in 2023 in the Kiev region, after which he went to Russia. There, on the instructions of his curator, Kuzin lived in an apartment rented by the special services in the Moscow region from November 2024, and also bought a Volkswagen car.

According to the detainee, one day the curator ordered him to take a cache with a bomb, which he had placed on a car he had bought earlier. He also installed a video camera, with the help of which the curator detonated the charge remotely at the right moment.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, Moskalik was killed on the morning of April 25 in Balashikha, Moscow Region. A car exploded near his house. According to preliminary data, the explosive device was filled with shrapnel. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article on murder.

The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov stated that the Kiev regime, despite the ongoing peace talks, remains involved in terrorist activities on the territory of the Russian Federation, thereby demonstrating its essence. Peskov emphasized that the Russian Federation must be on guard.

The IED that killed Moskalik consisted of TNT blocks and bolts

The improvised explosive device (IED), from the explosion of which the deputy chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik, died, consisted of TNT blocks, bolts and nails, according to a video by the Russian FSB, filmed at the scene.

The footage shows parts of a homemade explosive device, bolts, and nails that were used to fill it. FSB officers also found a laptop used to monitor Moskalik from the car, and a mobile phone.

The footage also shows the suspect in the murder. He was caught on a street surveillance camera driving the car that later exploded.

Earlier, the FSB Public Relations Center reported the arrest of a suspect in the murder of Moskalik. An agent of the Kiev special services, Ignat Kuzin, who has a residence permit in Ukraine, purchased and mined a car and left it in the courtyard of the house where the general lived.

Kuzin confessed to the crime. He also said that in September 2023, he left for Moscow. The rent for his apartment was paid by a curator of the Ukrainian special services. In February 2025, Kuzin bought a car. The curator told the man to take the cache with the bomb, which he placed on the car. He also installed a video camera. The curator remotely detonated the explosive device.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, Moskalik was killed on the morning of April 25 in Balashikha, Moscow Region. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, noted that the terrorist attack against the general may have been carried out by Ukrainian special services, who knew him from his time in the Minsk contact group and the Normandy format for settling the conflict in Ukraine.

The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov stated that the Kiev regime, despite the ongoing peace talks, remains involved in terrorist activities on the territory of the Russian Federation, thereby demonstrating its essence. Three Russian sailors injured in US airstrikes on Yemeni port
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Three Russian sailors were injured to varying degrees as a result of US airstrikes on the port of Ras Isa in Yemen.
War zones are dangerous places, especially for neutral-ish parties.
This was announced on April 26 by Jamal Amir, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the government created in Sana'a by the Ansar Allah movement (Houthis).

"Yesterday, American aggressive raids were directed at a ship moored in the port of Ras Isa, with the aim of preventing it from unloading a batch of oil. As a result, three Russian sailors were injured to varying degrees of severity. These sailors are Roman Kashpor, Igor Kazachenko and Artem Vanin," Amir wrote on the social network H.

He also specified that the Russian sailors were picked up by the Yemeni coast guard service. They were then sent to hospitals for treatment.

On April 21, the US Air Force carried out airstrikes on a market and residential area in central Sanaa. At least 12 people were killed and 30 were injured. Earlier, the US military destroyed the port of Ras Isa, which was under the control of the Yemeni Houthi movement Ansar Allah. The US Central Command noted that the port was used for seaborne shipments of oil, which the Houthis used as a tool of control and "to gain economic benefit from appropriating profits from imports."

On April 17, Houthi spokesman Anis Alasbahi said that 13 people were killed and 30 wounded in US strikes on the western Yemeni port of Ras Isa. On April 13, the Houthis said at least five people were killed in a US airstrike on a ceramics factory in Yemen's Sanaa province. They also claimed that 13 people were wounded in the US attack.

Nigerian pirates seize 12 after attack on passenger ship
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Twelve people were taken hostage by pirates who attacked a passenger ship in Cross River State in southeastern Nigeria. This was reported by the Leadership newspaper.
River pirates — how exciting.
According to police spokesperson Irene Ugbo, the vessel attacked was the Heavenly Grace, which departed from Calabar in Cross River State for Oron in Akwa Ibom State over the weekend.

After a few hours of travel, armed men caught up with the ship. They forced the crew to stop, then forced all the passengers to go onto their boat, and then disappeared in an unknown direction.

“In addition to taking passengers hostage, the kidnappers moved all the passengers’ belongings from the boat to their own and disappeared, leaving the empty boat to drift at sea,” the statement said.

Ugbo said the police command had commenced investigation into the incident. She said there had been no such attacks in the Calabar River estuary area in recent times.

As reported by Regnum, earlier in April, armed militants attacked several villages in Benue State in southeastern Nigeria. They fired randomly at people with automatic weapons. As a result, at least 56 people were killed in one night alone. Presumably, the villages of farmers were attacked by an ethnic group of nomadic herders. Similar clashes occur in the country over land and water sources.

[Regnum.] After the liberation of the village of Gornal in the Kursk region, the Russian Armed Forces pushed the remnants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units outside of Russia. This was reported on April 26 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

"The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have completed the rout of the Ukrainian Armed Forces formations that invaded the territory of the Kursk region. Units of the North group of forces have liberated the village of Gornal during offensive operations - the last settlement under the control of Ukrainian militants. The remnants of the enemy units have been pushed beyond the state border," the statement said.

In the liberated areas of the region, they are identifying individual enemy servicemen who are trying to take refuge on Russian territory, the Ministry of Defense also noted.

Earlier that day, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces General Valery Gerasimov reported to Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin on the complete liberation of the Kursk region. The Ministry of Defense showed footage of the flag being raised in Gornal.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, Gerasimov reported to Putin that the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the military operations in the Kursk region exceeded 76 thousand people. Having completed the operation to liberate the region, the Russian Armed Forces, in accordance with the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, began to create a security zone in the Sumy region.

They occupied the houses of local residents, placed military equipment in the yards, and set up observation and firing positions there. In addition, residential buildings were shelled, and the population was not allowed to go outside. Investigators intend to identify and bring to justice those involved in the crimes in the Sudzhansky district.

On April 26, Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova stated that Ukraine is still illegally holding 52 residents of the Kursk region, thereby violating international norms.

On the same day, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces General Valery Gerasimov reported to Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin on the complete liberation of the Kursk region. The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the military operations in the region exceeded 76 thousand people.

Moskalkova: Ukraine still illegally detains 52 residents of Kursk region
Ukraine is still illegally holding 52 residents of the Kursk region, thereby violating international norms. This was reported on April 26 by the Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Tatyana Moskalkova.

“Until now, 52 residents of the [Kursk] region, taken away by the Ukrainian military, are being held by the Kiev regime in violation of international norms and principles, justice and humanity,” she wrote on the Telegram channel.

Earlier, on April 26, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces General Valery Gerasimov reported to Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin on the complete liberation of the Kursk region. Having completed this operation, the Russian Armed Forces, in accordance with the instructions of the head of state, began to create a security zone in the Sumy region.

Borno State Receives Over 300,000 ''Repentant'' Boko Haram Members In Three Years
[SAHARAREPORTERS] The Borno State governor, Babagana Zulum, has revealed that 300,000 "repentant Boko Haram members" have been received by the state within the last three years.

The governor shared the information with the Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar; the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa; and other top military commanders during their visit to Maiduguri.

SaharaReporters had earlier reported that Governor Zulum raised the alarm that Boko Haram terrorists were regrouping in the Tumbus areas of Lake Chad and the Mandara Hills, both located within the dreaded Sambisa Forest.

While acknowledging the efforts of the military, he had noted that there are challenges making it difficult to effectively combat the rising threat of terrorism, and these need to be urgently addressed.

He stated that while the Nigerian Army is pursuing kinetic measures, it should also consider non-kinetic approaches, which are equally important.

"Borno State has, within the last three years, received more than 300,000 repentant Boko Haram fighters, and not all of them are fighters. Some of them are farmers,” he noted.

"Manpower is very essential. While I’m aware of the constraints of the Nigerian Army—because right now, you are everywhere in Nigeria: the Northeast, Northwest, North Central, as well as southern Nigeria—I’m aware of your limitations."

"But still, considering the northeastern region, the Nigerian Army should look into the possibility of sending more trained manpower. There is a difference between Boko Haram, ISWAP, and bandits."

He also emphasised that ISWAP and Boko Haram are receiving international support.

"ISWAP and Boko Haram are terrorists getting support internationally, and looking at our porous borders, they remain infiltrated through the Sahel, which is our major problem."

"If the Sahel is not secured, Nigeria will never be secured. So, there is a need for us to fortify the security situation in the Sahel with a view to ending the crisis in the entire nation."

"We need air support. I know the kind of constraints you face accessing fighter helicopters and others, but attack helicopters are very important in these areas, and drones are also very important."

"The last attack that happened in Wulgo, carried out by ISWAP and Boko Haram—a confirmed statement said it was carried out with the support of armed drones. They hit the MNJTF with drones."

"This is the time for the Nigerian military to rise again and procure sophisticated drones and anti-drone equipment so that we get rid of these problems."

Earlier in April, while speaking at a Special Expanded Security Meeting, Zulum condemned the continuous attacks and kidnappings, noting that these incidents occur almost daily without significant resistance from security forces, according to Channels TV.

He described the situation as a serious setback for both Borno and the wider Northeast region.

"As I address this important gathering today, it is unfortunate that the renewed Boko Haram attacks and kidnappings in many communities almost on a daily basis without confrontation signal that Borno State is losing ground,” Zulum said.

The meeting was attended by Major General Abubakar Haruna, General Officer Commanding 7 Division; sector commanders; the Commissioner of Police; heads of other security agencies; and traditional rulers, including the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi, and the Shehu of Bama.

Zulum pointed to the recent dislodgement of military formations in Damboa Local Government Area (Wajirko and Sabon Gari), Gamboru Ngala Local Government Area (Wulgo), and Gwoza Local Government Area (Izge) as deeply concerning.

"While my administration has been very supportive of the military and other security agencies in the fight against Boko Haram, it is disheartening to note the recent attacks and dislodgement of military formations in Wajirko, Sabon Gari in Damboa, Wulgo in Gamboru Ngala, and Izge in Gwoza, along with the killing of innocent civilians and security personnel."

"This calls for serious concern and signals a setback in the fragile state of Borno and the Northeast,” he added.

At least 14 18 25 killed, 700 750 injured in Iran''s port explosion: state media
[GEO.TV] A huge blast probably caused by the earth-shattering kaboom of chemical materials killed at least 14 people and injured more than 700 on Saturday at Iran's biggest port, Bandar Abbas, Iranian state media reported.
Both numbers will no doubt increase. But it is as Allah wills — he must not like y’all much, after all.
The explosion, which hit the Shahid Rajaee section of the port, occurred as Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
began a third round of nuclear talks with the United States in Oman, but there was no indication of a link between the two events.

Hossein Zafari, a spokesperson for Iran's crisis management organization, appeared to blame the earth-shattering kaboom on poor storage of chemicals in containers at Shahid Rajaee.

"The cause of the earth-shattering kaboom was the chemicals inside the containers," he told Iran's ILNA news agency.

"Previously, the Director General of Crisis Management had given warnings to this port during their visits and had pointed out the possibility of danger," Zafari said.

However,
a lie repeated often enough remains a lie...
an Iranian government spokesperson said that although chemicals had likely caused the blast, it was not yet possible to determine the exact reason.
"It was exciting, however"
Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian ordered an investigation of the incident and sent to the site his interior minister, who said efforts were still continuing to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to other areas.

Iran's official news channels aired footage of a vast black and orange cloud of smoke billowing up above the port in the aftermath of the blast, and an office building with its doors blown off and papers and debris strewn around.

Two soldiers martyred, 15 terrorists killed in three KP operations
[GEO.TV] Two Pakistain Army soldiers embraced martyrdom while at least 15 bad boyz were potted by security forces during three separate engagements in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the military's media wing said on Saturday.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation was conducted by security forces in the Karak district on the reported presence of terrorists.

"During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, and resultantly eight khwarij were sent to hell," it added.

In another operation conducted in the North Wazoo district, four bad boyz were potted by the security forces.

However,
denial ain't just a river in Egypt...
during the intense fire exchange, two soldiers — Lance Naik Usman Mohmand and Sepoy Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who anti-establishment Pak premier, who was hounded out of office, arrested, jailed, and will likely be hung by his political opponents...
— having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom.

In another encounter that took place in the general area of Gomal Zam, South Waziristan District, security forces successfully neutralised three terrorists.

"Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities," the ISPR added.

Meanwhile,
...back at the laboratory, Igor and Oleg were discussing what the quickest way might be to deal with the monster...
sanitisation operations were being conducted to eliminate any other Death Eaters found in the area, as the "security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve."

Arabia
At least one killed in US attack on Yemeni Bedouins, total 8 maimed
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] At least one civilian was killed and another injured when US warplanes bombed a house in a Bedouin nomadic area of Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
's Saada province, local sources reported.

According to the sources, an American Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
targeted a civilian home east of Sahar district.

In addition, four airstrikes were launched on the Takhya area in Majz district.

US warplanes also carried out multiple airstrikes in Sana'a province, including five raids on Nihm district and several others on Bani Matar district.

In Mahwit province, one airstrike was reported on al-Tawilah district.

The US aggression further escalated in Hodeida province, with four airstrikes targeting the Ras Issa area in al-Salif district.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Council of Boskone, Kinnison began his slow infiltration of the sewer system...
seven airstrikes were carried out on Medghal district in Ma'rib province.

Houthis say 8 hurt in US strikes in Yemen

[IsraelTimes] Iran-backed Houthi rebels say that a series of US strikes on territory under their control, including the Yemeni capital Sanaa, have wounded at least eight people.

“Eight citizens, including two children, were wounded when the American enemy targeted a residential district” west of Al-Rawda in Sanaa, the Houthi-run Saba news agency says.

It cites the Houthi administration’s health ministry as the source for what it said was a provisional toll.

An AFP correspondent in Sanaa reported earlier Saturday having heard explosions.

The Houthis, who control large parts of the war-torn country, also report strikes in other parts of the country, including their stronghold, Saada, in the north.

They say the fuel port of Ras Issa in the western Hodeida region — where they say 80 people were killed in strikes just over a week ago — has also been hit.
