[ShabelleMedia] Somali intelligence units, in coordination with the Somali Air Force, launched targeted dronezaps overnight against al-Shabaab ... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all ofwhich have enough problems without them... training and weapons storage facilities in southern Somalia, officials said Wednesday.
The operation, carried out using newly operational Ottoman Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 drones, hit multiple locations in the Lower Shabelle and Middle Jubba regions, including the towns of Jilib, Sablaale, and Kunya Barow.
Heavy missiles struck a major weapons depot on the outskirts of Jilib, destroying the site, according to security sources who requested anonymity. Additional strikes in Sablaale and Kunya Barow demolished other al-Shabaab facilities.
A training camp housing over 300 fighters — including foreign trainers and regional commanders — was also targeted. At least 29 al-Shabaab officers, most of them foreigners, were killed in the strikes, the source said.
"This operation dealt a significant blow to al-Shabaab’s logistical and command infrastructure," said a senior intelligence official.
The strikes come amid reports that al-Shabaab has reasserted control over several areas in Lower Shabelle following a government withdrawal. Somali forces had previously retaken those areas during offensives in late 2024 and early 2025.
Earlier this year, similar drone operations targeting Jilib — considered an al-Shabaab stronghold — resulted in substantial murderous Moslem casualties and disrupted the group’s communications.
Security officials say the Somali government is escalating air operations as part of a broader strategy to dismantle al-Shabaab’s operational capabilities and reassert control in contested regions.
[ShabelleMedia] Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) announced on Sunday that its elite forces, Gaashaan, killed a senior al-Shabaab ... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... commander during a planned operation late Saturday night.
The statement, which did not disclose the name of the slain leader, confirmed that the operation took place in the Sabiid area of the Lower Shabelle region. The report also stated that the entire security detail protecting the leader was killed in the raid.
"NISA forces, who had closely monitored the movements of the leader, conducted the operation after confirming intelligence about his location. All militia members assigned to protect him were also eliminated at the scene," the statement read.
In addition to this operation, NISA reported that Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s carried out in the Ceel Hareeri area of Hiran region from Saturday to Sunday had killed 46 individuals, including both senior commanders and fighters belonging to al-Shabaab.
The operations come as NISA’s Director, Abdullahi Mohammed Ali Sambaloolshe, has been on the frontlines in the Hiran region for the past two days, overseeing the ongoing military actions in the area.
Al-Shabaab, the al-Qaeda-linked group, has been waging an insurgency against the Somali government for over a decade, frequently carrying out deadly attacks using a range of tactics, including mortar shelling in the capital, Mogadishu.
[Garowe] Fighters from the Hawadle clan militia, known locally as "Macwiisley," are facing escalating attacks from al-Shabaab ... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda... in Somalia’s central Hiiraan region, amid a decline in federal military support, local officials and residents said on Wednesday.
The Macwiisley, a grassroots militia composed of Hawadle clan members, has led recent offensives against al-Shabaab, particularly in rural areas surrounding Beledweyne. Their campaigns, initially supported by government forces, were crucial in pushing holy warriors out of parts of central Somalia.
However,
women are made to be loved, not understood... the withdrawal of federal troops from strategic locations in the neighbouring Middle Shabelle region — including the contested town of Aadan Yabaal — has left a growing security gap, allowing al-Shabaab to regroup and threaten previously cleared areas.
Security analysts say the pullback has placed additional pressure on the Macwiisley militia, who are now fighting alone to defend their territory.
"If Aadan Yabaal and adjacent areas fall under permanent al-Shabaab control, it could severely impact the strategic link between Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle," said a security source who spoke on condition of anonymity.
A major concern among local leaders is that Hawadle fighters are being left on the front lines without adequate federal support.
"These men are risking their lives for their land and people, but the government’s support has diminished significantly," said a local official in Beledweyne, who requested anonymity due to security concerns.
Previous joint operations between government forces and clan militias had resulted in significant territorial gains. The recent shift, however, threatens to reverse progress made over the past year, particularly if al-Shabaab capitalizes on the current power vacuum.
Community leaders have called for an urgent review of security coordination in Hiiraan, warning that without logistical, financial, and operational support, the Macwiisley fighters may be overwhelmed.
The situation underscores the reliance of Somalia’s counterinsurgency strategy on local militias, especially in areas where state presence is limited. Analysts caution that failure to reinforce these militias could allow al-Shabaab to regain influence in key parts of central Somalia.
[Garowe] At least 100 terrorists, both leaning to the al-Shabaab ... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... and ISIS, have been killed in Somalia since President Donald Trump ...The Hero of Butler, Pennsylvania... assumed his second term early this year, the White House said, with the number expected to increase in the coming months..
On Monday, at least 10 hard boyz were killed in Cal-Miskaad mountains in Puntland ...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion... , with the White House posting a video of the battlegrounds within the mountains, which have been a base of the ISIS Death Eaters, but whose influence is declining.
"We haven’t forgotten the threat posed by Jihadis. 10 more were permanently removed from the battlefield in Somalia yesterday," the White House said. "That brings the total to over 100 bloodthirsty Death Eaters killed since President Trump was sworn in."
The US Africa Command has increased its tempo in Somalia, with the Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s targeting strategic locations, destroying the Death Eaters' military installations and other assets dangerous for peace and stability in the region.
In February, President Donald Trump announced airstrikes in Cal-Miskaad, where a senior commander of the ISIS hard boyz was killed. Since then, Puntland forces and US Africa Command have made progress, liberating several areas in the process.
Trump said the hit, less than two weeks into his term, had targeted a senior IS attack planner and other hard boyz in Somalia's semi-autonomous region of Puntland and had "destroyed the caves they live in, and killed many Death Eaters without, in any way, harming civilians".
He boasted that he had succeeded where former US President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. This Is A Man That Does Not Seem Demented... had failed."Biden and his cronies wouldn't act quickly enough to get the job done. I did!" The president maintained that "We will find you and we will kill you".
But airstrikes are different from troops on the ground, and Trump did not stop aerial bombardments in his first term. He increased them to nearly 400. The initial number of service members was 600 before it was reduced during Trump's first administration.
In a post published on X (formerly Twitter), the White House confirmed that a US operation conducted on May 19 had resulted in the deaths of 10 militants, bringing the total number of militant casualties to “over 100” since the start of the Trump administration.
The statement did not specify whether the militants targeted in the latest strike were affiliated with the al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab group or the Islamic State in Somalia (ISS), both of which have been the focus of an intensified US military campaign in the country.
However, local reports suggested the operation may have taken place near the town of Adan Yabaal in the Middle Shabelle region, a known al-Shabaab stronghold.

[FoxNews] The shooting was reportedly not fatal as CIA closes front gate 'until further notice'
A woman was shot early Thursday morning by security guards outside the CIA's headquarters, NBC News reported, citing a person familiar with the matter. The shooting was not fatal.
"Today, around 4:00am, patrol officers responded to the 900 block of Dolley Madison Blvd in McLean to assist CIA Police with traffic control following a non-fatal shooting on CIA property. FCPD officers are currently in the area providing traffic support while the CIA conducts its investigation. There are no road closures at this time," the Fairfax County Police Department said in a statement.
The CIA said in a post on X that the front gate to the agency's headquarters is closed and employees should use "alternate routes."
There is no known connection between the incident at the CIA and the fatal shooting of two Israeli Embassy workers in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night.
[LawEnforcementToday] PHOENIX, AZ— A damning analysis released on May 1st of the U.S. Department of Justice’s report investigating Phoenix Police Department by law enforcement experts Dr. Travis Yates and Dr. JC Chaix concluded that the DOJ under the Biden Administration presented 97% of the 134 alleged incidents it cited in a factually inaccurate manner and instead appeared to "use political pressure to frame a narrative."
The 2024 report .(BIDEN-DOJ) , which claimed to have found a "pattern of practice"of civil rights violations in the Phoenix PD, led to a push for the city to engage in a consent decree with the DOJ. The Phoenix Law Enforcement Association and Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Thomas Galvin have vocally resisted the decree, which has generated enormous controversy in Arizona
The ongoing question asked by millions of US Citizens.
When will we see arrests for these clear abuses of power for Political Agenda reasons?

Find out who worked on and managed that project, beyond just the author(s) of the reports. Add them to the next list for department downsizing — their evident skills are not a fit for the Trump DOJ.

I would allege that 97% of the CDC's data for the last 4 years was "factually or contextually inaccurate". The powers that be tried to *destroy* this nation during the last 4 years, and the GOP stood by and did nothing to fight against it. They are the equivalent of unindicted co-conspirators.

Release the verbiage of the desired consent decree. It likely is a federal attempt to gain oversight of law enforcement in a location where immigration issues are prevalent. If they had been successful, the template would have been used elsewhere.

"Pakistain's security forces and law enforcement agencies will relentlessly pursue all those involved in this barbaric act," the prime minister was quoted as saying in the official statement during his day-long visit to Quetta to review the law-and-order situation following the terror attack.

[GEO.TV] Pakistain's total confirmed polio ...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set. Currently the disease is only found in Pakistain and Afghanistain... cases for 2025 have risen to 10 after the Regional Reference Laboratory for Polio Eradication at the National Institute of Health (NIH) confirmed two new cases of wild poliovirus in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts of southern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Of the total, five cases are from KP, four from Sindh, and one from Punjab ...1. Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2. A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3. A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots
.... While high-quality polio vaccination campaigns continue nationwide, certain areas, particularly in southern KP, continue to face challenges such as restricted access and difficulties in conducting house-to-house vaccination campaigns.
These access and operational hurdles leave thousands of children in the province at the risk of exposure to poliovirus as a result of missed opportunities for vaccination, according to health authorities.
Owing to the aforementioned issues, children in UC Bakhmal Ahmad Zai (Lakki Marwat) missed out on vaccination opportunities during the February and April 2025 immunisation campaigns, resulting in immunity gaps.
In UC Saintanga, Tehsil Wazir (Bannu), no comprehensive campaign has been carried out since October 2023. Moreover, a shortage of female vaccinators and gaps in monitoring have also widened the immunity gaps.

The government has said that Indian-backed murderous Moslems carried out the attack, coming almost two weeks after the two sides settled a ceasefire to end their most serious conflict in decades.
Security sources identified three of the martyred as grade six student Sania Soomoro, grade seven's Hifza Kousar, and grade 10's Esha Saleem.
The military's media wing, in a statement, said: "In yet another cowardly and ghastly attack planned and orchestrated by [the] terrorist state of India and executed by its proxies in Balochistan, [an] innocent school-going children bus was targeted today in Khuzdar."

[PJMedia] It's official: Israel's expanded military operations in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip won't be complete until Israeli Defense Forces "take over all the areas of the Strip," according to a statement Monday on social media by Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu.
Calling Israel's military actions following the Oct. 7 terror invasion a "war of civilization over barbarism," Netanyahu reminded Hamas ..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... (and the world) that "The war can end tomorrow if the remaining hostages are released, Hamas lays down its arms, its murderous leaders are exiled and Gaza is demilitarized."
"No nation can be expected to accept anything less and Israel certainly won't."
This would be a good time to remind you that Hamas's objective on Oct. 7 was to derail Arab-Israeli peace efforts through an "extraordinary action." That's according to since-deceased Hamas chief, Yahya Sinwar. Hamas took hostages, murdered babies, and raped women to death for the sole purpose of committing the region to a forever war.
Israel now seeks peace by the only means left to them: the total destruction of Hamas and resuming control of the Gaza Strip.
A joint statement Monday by Britannia, Canada, and La Belle France warned, "If Israel does not cease the renewed military offensive and lift its restrictions on humanitarian aid, we will take further concrete actions in response." Jerusalem said on Sunday that Israel would allow "a basic quantity of food to be brought in" to Gaza but otherwise rebuffed those demands.
Netanyahu, according to a Wall Street Journal report, said the decision came after pressure from "Israel’s closest friends in the world."
The story added that "the country’s backers in the U.S. Senate told him they couldn’t tolerate images of extreme hunger coming out of Gaza and that could affect their continued support."
Israel's friends in the U.S. Senate really ought to know better.
Any food going into Gaza is commandeered by Hamas for either its own use or to be sold to Gazooks at obscene prices, as we've seen time and again.
The history of Gaza since Israel withdrew is Hamas thugs stealing Western aid for their personal enrichment. You didn't think Sinwar got to be worth $3 billion selling olive oil and prayer rugs, did you?
"The terror group’s three top leaders alone are worth a staggering total of $11 billion," the New York Post reported shortly after Oct. 7, "and enjoy a life of luxury in the sanctuary of the emirate of Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... ." By resuming control of Gaza, Israel will put a stop to Hamas's grand theft — everything.
Gaza wasn’t just a grifting operation for Hamas; it was a 140-square-mile terrorist enclave of underground tunnels, rocket stockpiles, and Iranian-trained fighters. That will come to an end with Israeli occupation, too.
The tragic irony is that Israel pulled out of Gaza for strategic and moral reasons that seemed correct to Ariel Sharon's Kadima government at the time. The Oslo Accords had stalled, and Israeli military rule over a growing population of two million Arabs was increasingly untenable. It won't become any more tenable under re-occupation.
Israel's reward for pulling out in 2005 was an endless terror campaign, culminating in the Oct. 7 atrocities. Their reward for reoccupation will likely be another Intifada. Dispersal to Libya, if the rumors have any truth to them, is probably the best thing for both Gazooks and Israelis.
Critics will accuse Israel of being an apartheid state — but they do that already. I say, "Resuming control of Gaza is a terrible idea, but what the hell else are they supposed to do?"

These people are so low IQ. Every decade of my life I've seen the Palestinian Population Grow and Grow and perpetually increase in size but they still throw the genocide word around. Much like how they say Israel is an apartheid state but Israel has mosques, and muslims are not automatically killed in Israel unlike jews in Palestine.
The military said Wednesday it confirmed that a Paleostinian suspect killed by troops in the West Bank town of Bruqin over the weekend carried out last week’s deadly terror shooting in the area.
In the attack on May 14, near Bruqin and the settlement of Bruchin, a Paleostinian terrorist opened fire from the side of a road on Israeli motorists, killing Tzeela Gez, 30, and wounding her husband. Gez had been heading to a hospital to give birth.
Beilinson Hospital staff conducted an emergency C-section to save the newborn, who remains at death's door. He was named Ravid Haim, a name Gez had chosen, a statement on behalf of the family said Tuesday.
As troops were searching the area on Saturday, a suspect with a backpack ran toward them while shouting "Allahu Akbar" (God is greatest). He was then rubbed out.
Following an investigation led by the Shin Bet, police, and Israel Defense Forces, it was revealed that the suspect, Naael Samarah, carried out the shooting attack, a joint statement said.
Samarah, a member of Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... , was previously tossed in the clink Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up! for his activity in the terror group. He was released in 2010 and tossed in the clink Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up! again for several days in 2019 for online incitement, according to the military.
The IDF said that in his backpack, troops found an assault rifle and other equipment used to carry out the terror attack.
His home, near Bruqin, was mapped by IDF troops ahead of its demolition on Wednesday, the military said in a statement, in accordance with Israel’s policy of demolishing the homes of Paleostinians accused of carrying out deadly terror attacks.
Several additional Paleostinians suspected of involvement in the attack have been arrested, including one accused of being the head of a terror cell that Samarah was part of.
The cell, according to the IDF, carried out three other shooting attacks in the area in recent months, including one near Ariel on March 12, in which an Israeli civilian was moderately maimed.
The West Bank has seen a surge in violence since Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel from the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip ignited the war there.
Since then, troops have arrested some 6,000 wanted Paleostinians across the West Bank, including more than 2,350 affiliated with Hamas. According to the Paleostinian Authority health ministry, more than 950 West Bank Paleostinians have been killed in that time. The IDF says the vast majority of them were button men killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops, or gunnies carrying out attacks.
There has also been a significant increase in settler violence against Paleostinians since the start of the war.
During the same period, 52 people, including Israeli security personnel, have been killed in terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank. Another eight members of the security forces were killed in festivities with terror operatives in the West Bank.
[IsraelTimes] The IDF says it detained a Palestinian accused of directing a deadly terror shooting attack in the West Bank village of al-Funduq in January.
The suspect was arrested overnight in Jenin’s western neighborhood, the IDF says.
The attack on January 6 — carried out by three gunmen who have all since been killed — killed off-duty police officer Master Sgt. Elad Yaakov Winkelstein and civilians Rachel Cohen and Aliza Raiz.
Additionally, overnight, the IDF says it detained a five-man cell of Islamic State-affiliated terror operatives in the town of Qabatiya.
[IsraelTimes] Announcement that distribution of humanitarian goods has started comes after UN officials accused Israel of preventing collection of supplies; rockets fired from Gaza land in Strip
The United Nations ...a formerly good idea gone bad... on Wednesday confirmed that it collected and began distributing around 90 truckloads of aid into Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... , marking the first aid distribution in the besieged coastal territory since early March, after UN officials claimed they were unable to pick up supplies at the border with Israel.
Three days after Israel announced it would allow in limited aid, the United Nations on Wednesday "collected around 90 truckloads of goods from the Kerem Shalom crossing and dispatched them into Gaza," Stephane Dujarric, front man for UN Secretary-General António Guterres ...Portuguese politician and diplomat, ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations. Previously, he was the UN High Commissioner for Refugees between 2005 and 2015. He was the Prime Minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002 and was the Secretary-General of the Socialist Party from 1992 to 2002. He served as President of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005. In both a 2012 and 2014 poll, the Portuguese public ranked him as the best Prime Minister of the previous 30 years... , said in a statement.
The Defense Ministry’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) earlier announced that 100 trucks carrying humanitarian aid entered the Gaza Strip on Wednesday. COGAT said the aid delivery came "following the recommendation of professional IDF officials and in accordance with the directive of the political echelon."
The trucks contained flour, baby food and medical equipment, according to COGAT.
The aid underwent an inspection first by Israeli authorities before entering Gaza via the Kerem Shalom Crossing.
COGAT did not address the UN allegations that the IDF had prevented the collection of aid on the Gaza side of the border.
Nahid Shahaiber, a major transport company owner, said 75 trucks of flour and over a dozen more carrying nutritional supplements and sugar were inside the southern area of Rafah and witnesses said trucks carrying flour had been seen in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Also Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces said three rockets were launched from northern Gaza, setting off sirens in the border communities of Zikim and Netiv Haasara.
All three projectiles fell short in Gaza, the army added.
No injuries were caused in the attack, after which the IDF’s Arabic-language front man issued evacuation orders for residents in parts of northern Gaza.
Over the weekend, the IDF launched a major new offensive dubbed "Gideon’s Chariots" launched over the weekend, which Israel says seeks to destroy Hamas ..always the voice of sweet reason... and seize and retain the whole territory, while relocating Paleostinians across the enclave.
On Tuesday, IDF chief Eyal Zamir threatened to ramp up the campaign even further if Hamas did not agree to Israel’s demands that it release the hostages and give up power.
"It will face intense firepower," he said. "We will expand the ground maneuver, conquer additional territory, clear and destroy the terror infrastructure until it is defeated."
Israel is seeking to pressure Hamas into freeing 58 hostages remaining in Gaza, about a third of whom are believed to be alive, and demands that the group relinquish power before ending the war.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recalled a high-level negotiating team from Doha, where talks on a ceasefire and hostage release deal appeared to be stuck.

[NYPost] Two Israeli embassy staffers were killed and three others injured when gunfire erupted outside an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, DC, Wednesday night — by a gunman who shouted “Free free Palestine,” officials said.
Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon called the shooting “a depraved act of anti-Semitic terrorism.”
“Harming diplomats and the Jewish community is crossing a red line,” he said on X.
“We are confident that the US authorities will take strong action against those responsible for this criminal act. Israel will continue to act resolutely to protect its citizens and representatives — everywhere in the world.”
One of the slain staffers was a diplomat, NBC 4 reported, citing two sources.
It was not immediately clear if the three wounded were part of the embassy staff.
The gunfire erupted in front of the museum at 575 3rd St NW, near the FBI field office and the US attorney’s office, the outlet reported, adding that the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating.
Cops are on the hunt for a man with a goatee wearing a blue jacket and jeans who was last seen on F Street in the Northwest area of the city.
Ted Deutch, the CEO of the American Jewish Committee, told NBC 4 that his organization hosted an event at the museum.
“We are devastated that an unspeakable act of violence took place outside the venue,” he said.
“At this moment, as we await more information from the police about exactly what transpired, our attention and our hearts are solely with those who were harmed and their families.”
FBI Director Kash Patel said his is working with the Metropolitian Police Department “to respond and learn more,” he wrote in a tweet. “In the immediate, please pray for the victims and their families. We will keep the public updated as we are able.”
US Attorney General Pam Bondi and US Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro were at the crime scene late Wednesday.
“Praying for the victims of this violence as we work to learn more,” Bondi tweeted.
Homeland Security Krisi Noem vowed to bring the “depraved” shooter to justice.
“Two Israeli Embassy staff were senselessly killed tonight near the Jewish Museum in Washington DC,” she posted online.
“We are actively investigating and working to get more information to share. Please pray for the families of the victims.”
The shooting comes amid a surge in antisemitism in the wake of Hamas’ attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
It is understood the suspected shooter shouted 'Free Palestine' as he was arrested, which is now being investigated by the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force.
'We are confident that the US authorities will take strong action against those responsible for this criminal act,' Danon said. 'Israel will continue to act resolutely to protect its citizens and representatives – everywhere in the world.'
The American Jewish Committee was hosting a Young Diplomats event at the museum on Wednesday night, CEO Ted Deutch confirmed.
The sold-out event was touted as a night 'bringing together Jewish young professionals (22-45) and the D.C. diplomatic community.'
The evening was 'dedicated to fostering unity and celebrating Jewish heritage', featuring 'appetizers, cocktails, conversations, and a special guest speaker.'
It was scheduled to take place 6.30pm and 9pm, and the shooting occured about 9.15pm.
Tal Naim Cohen, a spokeswoman for the Israeli Embassy, said the duo were shot 'at close range' as they attended the event.
Initial reports suggested one of the victims died at the scene while another was rushed to hospital in a critical condition. Later updates confirmed both victims had tragically died.
Arizona Congressman Abe Hamadeh said: 'An assassin screamed "Free Palestine!" outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, DC, and murdered an Israeli diplomat and her companion.
Less than 24 hours ago, the Capital Jewish Museum was awarded a security grant amid ongoing concerns about the safety of guests and staff.
'Jewish institutions all around town, all around the country, are concerned about security due to some very scary incidents that some institutions have faced and because of a climate of antisemitism,' Executive Director Beatrice Gurwitz said.
'So, we invest a lot of money in security to make sure that we can keep our doors open to the broad public, that this is a welcoming space, but that people are also safe in this space.'
The Israeli embassy does not immediately respond to questions about the shooter, the victims or the motive for the attack, but other officials provide details and say the victims were a couple about to be engaged.
US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed two Israeli embassy staff members were killed.
“We are actively investigating and working to get more information to share,” Noem wrote in a post on X.
“We will bring this depraved perpetrator to justice.”
Washington, DC, Police Chief Pamela Smith says that “despite all life-saving efforts, both victims succumbed to their injuries.”
She says both victims were exiting an event at the Capital Jewish Museum.
“Prior to the shooting, a suspect was observed pacing outside of the museum,” she says, adding that he opened fire at a group of four, killing a man and a woman.
“The suspect chanted, ‘Free, free Palestine,’ while in custody. The suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Elias Rodriquez of Chicago, Illinois,”she says.
“The couple that was gunned down tonight in the name of ‘Free Palestine’ was a couple about to be engaged,” she says, adding that the man had bought a ring last week with the intention of proposing next week in Jerusalem.

Kalin says people came to his aid and brought him water, thinking he needed help, without realizing he was the suspect in the shooting, which killed two Israeli Embassy employees.
When police arrived, he pulled out a red keffiyeh and repeatedly yelled, “Free Palestine,’” Kalin says.
“This event was about humanitarian aid,” Kalin says. “How can we actually help both the people in Gaza and the people in Israel? How can we bring together Muslims and Jews and Christians to work together to actually help innocent people? And then here he is just murdering two people in cold blood.”
Elias Rodriguez, the Chicago far-left activist accused of shooting dead two Israelis outside the Capital Jewish Museum, has a long history of support for BLM, Palestine, communist and anti-white causes.

Currently I'm busy - working on Perpetuum mobile. Once I'll finish, I'll answer your questions.
A statement posted on X Wednesday night appears to be a manifesto signed by someone with the same name as the suspect in a deadly shooting outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington. It has not been verified.
The approximately 900-word statement — written in the clear language of an English major, dated May 20 and published online around the same time the shooting occurred — mentions the high death toll in Gaza and notes the ineffectiveness of nonviolent protests against Israel, including the self-immolation of US Air Force serviceman Aaron Bushnell. It also expresses dissatisfaction with American support for Israel.
The essay ends with what appears to be a defense of “the morality of armed demonstration,” with the author — purporting to be Elias Rodriguez, the arrested suspect in the shooting — claiming that his actions would have been morally justified even if taken in response to the 2014 war between Israel and Hamas, which is when he says he became aware of the conflict. He expresses the belief that his actions will now be viewed by many Americans as “highly legible” and “the only sane thing to do.”
It is posted by an account rife with violent anti-Israel sentiments, including references to taking violent actions against Israelis and a “joke” about bombing the New York Times. It also includes messages in support of Hamas and Hezbollah. Several posts reference Chicago, where the suspected shooter was born and raised.

Timing could not have been better. Just about when Trump was about to turn traitor, we all get an object lesson about why you can't do deals with Muslims. They're a death cult and cannot be reasoned with. Be they in Qatar, Iran, Lebanon, or USA.
The location was perfect, too. The museum will be flooded with attention and people will see what Israel is fighting for.

[Korrespondent] Military notes buildup of enemy forces near border.
The occupiers are acting in a comprehensive manner: they use artillery and drones for reconnaissance and destruction, and then introduce infantry.
Russian troops are actively transferring personnel to the border areas of the Kharkiv region. Ukrainian military assumes that the enemy is preparing for active assault actions. This was stated by the chief of staff of the 13th operational brigade Charter Andriy Pomahaybus on the air of the Public on Wednesday, May 21.
"We need to have surveillance in all the most dangerous areas of approach to our front line. The accumulation of personnel is happening closer to the state border, that is, there are attempts to pull personnel together, obvious preparations for active assault actions by the enemy. Our Defense Forces are ready to repel attacks," he noted.
According to the officer, the invaders are using a combination of tactics: using artillery and drones for reconnaissance and destruction, and then bringing in infantry. Some directions are used for distraction, others for advancement.
Pomagaibus also emphasized the serious threat posed by fiber-optic drones, whose range can reach 15-30 km.
"The main build-up on their part is drones on optical fiber. This is a very painful issue. We are taking countermeasures. The main advantage of these drones is that we cannot detect them with electronic warfare and suppress them. But there are still mechanisms to counter such drones," he added.
It should be noted that 164 combat clashes were recorded on the front over the past 24 hours . In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 44 assault actions by Russians.
Let us recall that the first assault motorcycle company in the Armed Forces of Ukraine appeared as part of the 425th separate assault regiment Skala .

EurAsia Daily: Russian FPV drones began to fly to Kharkov. This is reported by Ukrainian volunteer Roman Donik. According to him, an FPV drone with an RPG was shot down over Kharkov.
As I heard a Vietnam vet state:
"A Recoilless Rifle, isn't."
That said, I saw an ad for a FPV RC Race car where a person sits in a race seat with steering performance and a screen. Couple that with a short I saw about testing remote controlled mini-tanks with what looks like a Recoilless Rifle on it.
Me, I'd have a series of cameras on the kill-ATV so operator can use VR Goggles.
Nerding Deeper: seen the game coming out which is an accurate render of WWII aircraft and flight mechanics, made for VR? If that is available commercially, not much difference to do that with, say, an F-16.
It would depend on the stability of the areal platform, but I wouldn't dismiss an 'auto-balance'. To continue the story from the Viet Vet, the shot perpendicular to vehicle is only funny because they lived, the jeep laying on it's side.
Even the original 'Doom' game had a cool-down period with the shotgun, and the Abrams (for example) with an auto-stablize aiming system.

[IsraelTimes] Military says targets include ‘experienced engineer’ in terror group’s weapons R&D unit and a Radwan force commander
Three members of Hezbollah were killed in separate Israeli dronezaps in Leb ...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. Only one of those statements is an exaggeration.... on Tuesday, the military said.
The strikes came amid an ongoing ceasefire in Lebanon, which obligated the Lebanese terror group to withdraw from the south of the country.
The first strike on Tuesday took place in Ain Baal, a town near Lebanon’s coastal city of Tyre.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, the target of the strike, Hussein Nazih Barji, was a "significant source of knowledge" in the field of weapons production, and he worked in Hezbollah’s weapons research and development division.
Barji was "an experienced engineer" in the division and was responsible for "establishing infrastructure for the production of precision missiles," the army said.
The IDF said Barji was killed to disrupt Hezbollah’s attempts to rearm, and because his actions "constituted a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon."
The second strike, in the southern town of Yater, killed a commander in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force, the military said.
A third Hezbollah operative was killed in southern Lebanon’s Aitaroun, it added.
The IDF released footage of the three strikes.
A November 2024 ceasefire ended more than a year of fighting, including some two months of open war, between Israel and Hezbollah. The fighting began on October 8, 2023, when the Iran-backed terror group started attacking Israel daily with missiles and drones, in support of Hamas ..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... The ceasefire allows Israel to strike immediate threats, and near-daily strikes against Hezbollah operatives and their allies have continued. More than 150 Hezbollah operatives have been killed since the start of the ceasefire.
Lebanon’s president said earlier this month that the country’s army now controls more than 85 percent of the country’s south, from which Hezbollah was obligated to withdraw under the ceasefire, though there has been no outside confirmation of the claim.
Israel was also obligated to withdraw its forces from southern Lebanon. It has pulled out from all but five strategic posts.
Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:
[ColonelCassad] The enemy actually confirms losses during yesterday's attack on the training center in Shostka, where about 70 Ukrainian Armed Forces trainees and an instructor were killed by an Iskander OTRK strike. The Iskander strike was supported by a drone that was hovering over the training ground and providing targeting. For some reason, the enemy ignored the obvious threat.
As a result, the hysteria and search for the guilty party has been going on for the second day already.
Of course, the resignation of the butcher Syrsky is once again being demanded.
The moral of the story is simple - there is no need to gather personnel in a crowded form at training grounds and for awards within the effective range of high-precision weapons.
regnum.ru has more details: Up to 70 Ukrainian special forces eliminated by Iskander strike in Sumy region
During a reconnaissance operation conducted by the Russian military near the city of Shostka in the Sumy region, a training camp of the 1st Special Forces Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was discovered. The Iskander strike, which resulted in the elimination of about 70 future special forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was filmed on video from a drone. The details were reported by the Ministry of Defense.
According to intelligence data received, the crews of the Iskander operational-tactical missile system destroyed enemy targets with a precise strike.
It is known that as a result of the missile strike, up to 70 Ukrainian military personnel were eliminated, including 20 instructors. In addition, an ammunition depot and ten units of military equipment were destroyed.
According to regnum.ru the Iskander mssile strike was a part of a much larger set of missile strikes Russian Armed Forces hit Ukrainian Armed Forces training camp and mercenary deployment points
Russian troops hit a training camp for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the infrastructure of a military airfield, as well as temporary deployment points for foreign mercenaries. This was reported on May 21 by the Russian Defense Ministry.
“A training camp for Ukrainian armed formations, military airfield infrastructure facilities, ammunition and missile and artillery weapons depots, as well as temporary deployment points for Ukrainian Armed Forces units and foreign mercenaries in 142 districts were hit,” follows from the defense department’s publication on its Telegram channel.
It is noted that the strikes on military targets were carried out by operational-tactical aviation, attack drones, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces. In addition, Russian air defense systems shot down six US-made JDAM guided air bombs and 236 aircraft-type drones, including 162 outside the special operation zone.
[IsraelTimes] Hamas representatives two days ago informed the family of Muhammad Sinwar, the commander of Hamas’s military wing in Gaza, that he was killed in a tunnel in Khan Younis, the Saudi-owned, London-based newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat reports.
According to the report, which comes eight days after the IDF targeted Sinwar in a series of airstrikes, Hamas special forces arrived at the tunnel in Khan Younis that had been attacked, discovered Sinwar’s body, and additional forces were later sent to retrieve it and bury him temporarily.
The report also states that Hamas confirmed that also killed in the strike on the tunnel were Rafah Brigade Commander Muhammad Shabana and a battalion commander from the Rafah Brigade whose name is not mentioned. The outlet reports that Sinwar and Shabana entered the tunnel three days before the strike.

[IsraelTimes] Britain is pledging 4 million pounds ($5.4 million) in humanitarian aid to Gaza, the government says, as its Minister for Development, Jenny Chapman, visits Israel and the West Bank.
“The Israeli government’s failure to allow full humanitarian access to aid workers is abhorrent. Far too few trucks are crossing into Gaza,” Chapman says. “The UK is clear — Israel will not achieve security through prolonging the suffering of the Palestinian people.”
Britain yesterday paused free trade talks with Israel over its new offensive in Gaza, with Foreign Minister David Lammy calling for an end to the blockade of aid.
The British Red Cross will receive the new aid package and deliver it through the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, Britain says.
Remember yesterday’s big reveal, that Israel was secretly preparing to attack Iran’s nuclear program? Some secret.
[IsraelTimes] Israel is getting ready to quickly strike Iran if ongoing talks between the United States and the Islamic Republic over the latter’s nuclear program break down, Axios reports, citing a pair of Israeli sources.
“Bibi is waiting for the nuclear talks to collapse and for the moment Trump will be disappointed about the negotiations and open to giving him the go ahead,” says one of the sources, using Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s nickname.
According to the sources, the Israeli intelligence community now thinks talks could soon collapse, after previously believing an agreement was close. One of the sources says the military believes the window to attack Iran may soon slam shut, requiring Israel to move fast if the negotiations do not pan out, without saying why the IDF thinks that.
The news site also says that both sources confirmed a CNN report that Israel is preparing for potential strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, while adding any attack would require a week-long campaign and not be a one-off.
“There was a lot of training and the US military sees everything and understands Israel is preparing,” one of the sources is quoted as saying.

Impossible. Iran is too big and IDF too small.

[BREITBART] Americans celebrating Memorial Day by hitting the road will likely be paying the cheapest gas prices since 2003.
GasBuddy, a fuel savings platform, said Tuesday that it forecasts the national average price of gasoline to be $3.08 per gallon on Memorial Day. That would make it the cheapest since 2021 in nominal terms. After adjusting for inflation, it would be the lowest since 2003.
This is not expected to be short-lived. Prices of gasoline are expected to average around $3.02 per gallon between Memorial Day and Labor Day, with prices falling below three dollars on some days.
That's likely to bring cheer to the 69 percent of Americans who plan on taking a road trip this summer.
''American road trip culture remains resilient,'' GasBuddy said in a news release announcing their 2025 Summer Travel Survey.
Last summer, the national average price of gasoline was $3.58 per gallon on Memorial Day. This year's lower price reflects increased oil production that has lowered crude oil prices. A barrel of Brent Crude, the global standard for oil prices, is currently priced at $65.07, down significantly from the $83.71 a year ago.

Isn't so much inflation as gross devaluation of the dollar by the Fed and Treasury. The value of silver in a 1960s coin dollar is now worth $25 dollars. That 1960s McDonalds 15 cent hamburger, fries and small drink, totaled 45 cents, would be $11.50 in today's monopoly money. That $3.02 gallon of gas of today would be 13 cents back then.

[IsraelTimes] In a rare move, the IDF demolishes the home of a Palestinian gunman who killed an Israeli soldier at a checkpoint near Jerusalem in 2023, after the home was rebuilt following its first demolition last year.
Overnight, IDF troops operated in the West Bank city of Hebron to demolish the home of Abdelqader Qawasmeh.
Qawasmeh was one of three members of the Hamas terror group who attacked the “tunnels” checkpoint on the West Bank’s Route 60, south of Jerusalem in November 2023, killing Cpl. Avraham Fetena, a Military Police soldier.
As a matter of policy, Israel demolishes the homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out deadly attacks. Rarely does Israel re-demolish homes that are rebuilt.
Israel defends the practice of razing the family home of attackers as a deterrent against future assaults. Over the years, a number of Israeli defense officials have questioned the efficacy of the practice, and human rights activists have denounced it as unfair collective punishment.
[IsraelTimes] The Israel Defense Forces announces it will demolish the home of Hamas terrorist Samir Hussein, who injured a number of civilians in a shooting attack near the West Bank settlement city of Ariel last year.
Hussein’s home is located in the West Bank village of Einabus, near the city of Nablus.
Ten people were wounded, three of them seriously, when Hussein opened fire at a civilian bus. He was shot dead by security forces.
Hussein, a member of Hamas, was previously jailed by Israel for his activities in the terror group, according to the Shin Bet.
His family can appeal the decision to demolish the home, but such attempts rarely succeed.
[NYPOST] The father of a North Carolina college student who was shot in a ''random'' burglary earlier this month while she was staying with University of South Carolina students for the weekend was ''furious'' when he learned of the suspect's lengthy criminal history.
Logan Federico, a 22-year-old aspiring teacher from Waxhaw, was visiting friends at USC in Columbia, South Carolina, and staying at a house on Cypress Street on the evening of May 2 through May 3.
In the early morning hours of May 3, suspect Alexander Dickey, a 30-year-old ''career criminal,'' entered the home in the early morning, stole several credit and debit cards and fatally shot Logan in what Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook described as a ''random'' crime during a May 5 press conference.
''She was supposed to go down the night before, and plans got canceled — so she decided to do it on a Friday,'' Logan's father, Stephen Federico, told Fox News Digital. ''That's the thing that's just gut-wrenching. She wasn't even supposed to be there. She was supposed to be home Friday.''
On Saturday afternoon, Logan's mother, Melissa Federico, was at home cooking when two officers showed up at her door to tell her the news that Logan had been shot dead in Columbia. Stephen had been golfing with friends when his wife called.

EM,
I live in Columbia, and believe me when I tell you there has been no defunding of police here - if anything, their funding has gone up. The last year I see Federal numbers for is 2023, and we had 27 murders in Richland County (the stats cover the whole county, not just inside the boundaries of Columbia proper). 27 is 27 too many, but this one wasn't due to a lack of policing - a single feral criminal decided to get up in the middle of the night and rob a house at random. He got surprised and shot Miss Federico. The one consolation here is that this is South Carolina. He will die in prison, one way or the other.

One redeeming effect is that this plane, as a gift could be thoroughly examined by the NSA for years without ever actually serving as AF1, giving the US insights about the adversaries' top tier spying technology.
Also, this kerfuffle will force the US Democrats to break with Qatar, making an anti-Qatari political consensus possible.

[IsraelTimes] State Department says no announcement yet on Thomas Barrack, a longtime friend of president; move comes as administration builds ties with new Damascus regime
The United States will appoint President Donald Trump’s longtime friend and current US ambassador to Turkey, Thomas Barrack, as a special envoy for Syria, a person with direct knowledge of the matter and a diplomat in Turkey said.
The decision follows Trump’s landmark announcement last week that US sanctions on Syria would be lifted. It also suggests US acknowledgement that Turkey has emerged with key regional influence on Damascus since Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad’s ouster by rebels in December, ending 14 years of civil war.
Asked for comment, a US State Department spokesperson said: “There is no announcement at this time.”
Speaking to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday, US Secretary of State Rubio said he was allowing Turkish embassy staff, including Barrack, to work with local officials in Syria to understand what kind of aid they need.
“We want to help that government succeed, because the alternative is full-scale civil war and chaos, which would, of course, destabilize the entire region,” Rubio said.
A US-Turkish meeting focused on Syria took place in Washington on Tuesday with Barrack in attendance, according to Turkey’s foreign ministry, which said sanctions relief and efforts to counter terrorism had been discussed.
The US had sought a step-for-step approach to Syria sanctions relief until Trump’s announcement that he was ordering “the cessation of sanctions,” which he said aimed to give Syria a chance to recover from devastating war. He said he made the decision after discussions with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan.
Trump also met with Syria’s interim president Ahmed al-Sharaa in Saudi Arabia on May 14 and urged him to normalize ties with longtime foe Israel following his surprise sanctions announcement.
Removing US sanctions that cut Syria off from the global financial system would clear the way for greater engagement by humanitarian organizations working in Syria, and ease foreign investment and trade as the country looks to rebuild.
[IsraelTimes] UK police says use of flag arouses ‘reasonable suspicion’ he supports terror group; band management offers no comment after earlier denying members support Hamas or Hezbollah
A member of the Irish rap band Kneecap was charged with a terrorism offense for displaying a flag in support of the Iran-backed terror group Hezbollah, British police said on Wednesday.
Liam O’Hanna, whose stage name is Mo Chara, showed the flag during one of the band’s shows in London in November, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
It said O’Hanna, 27, displayed the flag "in such a way or in such circumstances as to arouse reasonable suspicion that he is a supporter of a proscribed organization," in this case identified as Hezbollah, in contravention of the 2000 Terrorism Act.
Kneecap’s management team did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
O’Hanna is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on June 18.
Nearly 40 other groups and artists, among them Pulp, Paul Weller, and Primal Scream, have rallied around the band amid an escalating row about political messaging at its concerts.
Kneecap on Monday apologized to the families of murdered British politicians and denied supporting Hezbollah or Hamas ..a regional Iranian catspaw,... terrorists, after UK police said it was examining footage from a Kneecap concert in London last year that appeared to show a band member shouting "Up Hamas, up Hezbollah."
Not only do they lie, but they are so arrogant they can’t be bothered to lie well.
UK police have also said it was examining a video clip of the Belfast rap trio at a 2023 gig, appearing to show one member saying: "The only good Tory is a dead Tory. Kill your local MP."
In February, the band posted a photo on social media of a balaclava-wearing individual, also apparently a group member, reading a book of statements by slain Hezbollah leader His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah ...The late, lamented satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...> The Belfast trio has been praised for invigorating the Irish-language cultural scene in Northern Ireland, where the status of the language remains a contested political issue in a society still split between British unionist and Irish nationalist communities. It has also been criticized for lyrics laden with expletives and drug references and for political statements.
Kneecap was not well known outside Northern Ireland before the release of a raucous feature film loosely based on the band’s origins and fueled by a heavy mix of drugs, sex, violence, politics and humor. The group’s members played themselves in "Kneecap," which won an audience award when it was screened at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. It was shortlisted for best foreign-language picture and best original song at this year’s Academy Awards, though it didn’t make the final cut.
[NYPOST] Most of us would agree that even criminals deserve a second chance.
But what about 134 chances?
Apparently, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin ''Set 'Em Free'' Bragg is all-in on such a revolving-door approach to justice.
Or maybe Bragg just hasn't found a criminal he believes is worth prosecuting at all.
So it was not surprising, though nonetheless disturbing, to discover in The Post that the infamously woke prosecutor has allowed career criminal Harold Gooding to continue to wreak havoc as he pillages and plunders the businesses of our city, despite racking up an astonishing record of 134 arrests.
The fact that Bragg was warned about Gooding three years ago — when the serial thief's face was plastered on the front page of The Post as ''Recidivist No. 1,'' topping the New York Police Department's worst-of-the-worst repeat-offenders list — makes the DA's gross negligence even more outrageous.
[TOWNHALL] A federal judge said that the Trump administration violated a court order after it deported several migrants colonists to South Sudan ...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans... despite the fact that they came from other countries.
US District Judge Brian E. Murphy on Tuesday ordered the White House to keep the deportees in US custody after the plane landed in Sudan in preparation for Wednesday's emergency hearing. During the proceedings, the judge argued that the administration violated an injunction he put in place in April.
From The News Agency that Dare Not be Named:
In an emergency hearing he called to address reports that immigrants colonists had been sent to South Sudan, Judge Brian E. Murphy in Boston said the eight migrants colonists aboard the plane were not given a meaningful opportunity to object that the deportation could put them in danger. Minutes before the hearing, administration officials accused ''activist judges'' of advocating the release of dangerous criminals.
The group was flown out of the United States just hours after getting notice, leaving them no chance to contact lawyers who could object in court.
Government attorneys argued that the men had a history with the immigration system, giving them prior opportunities to express a fear of being deported to a country outside their homeland. They also said that immigration authorities may have misunderstood the order because the judge did not specify the time needed between notice and deportation.

Judge tries to block shutting down department of education.
#3
Congress needs to be shamed into acting. They control these courts so they need pass a law stating that any court BELOW the Supreme court may not issue a nationwide injunction. Any Judge(s) doing so will be considered to have 1. Voluntarily resigned their position. 2. Voluntarily renounced their citizenship. 3. Donate ALL land, money, assets to the federal government. 4. Are deported within 48 hours.
Add a rider that if the Supreme court attempts to block this, all courts below the Supreme court are immediately dissolved and the pay of a Supreme court Justice is now indexed to match the poverty level.

On the offensive actions of the RF Armed Forces in the Northern direction The change of command of the troops in the Northern direction is gradually bringing its results. The RF Armed Forces were able to reorganize their approach to tactics and began to advance westward from the beginning of March.
More about the battles in the Northern direction:
– On March 9, Russian troops began fighting on the Belogorovka-Verkhnekamenskoye line and continued attacks to the north, managing to advance forward.
- At the same time, in the southern part of the direction, Russian troops landed in Vasyukovka. The enemy was driven out of the eastern part of the village, and the Russian Armed Forces were able to strengthen their positions there, but the battles for the settlement are still ongoing.
– By April 22, the Russian Armed Forces had pushed the enemy back from Belogorovka and advanced towards Grigorovka, and by the end of April, small groups had managed to reach the outskirts of the settlement. In early May, the Russian Armed Forces took up positions on the northern outskirts of the village, and by May 6, they were already fighting in the central part of the settlement, but the fighting for the village continues to this day.
– At the same time, in the central section of the front, after several months of fierce fighting for Verkhnekamenskoye, our troops went on the offensive and were able to encircle the settlement from the northeast.
– In the first days of May, the Russian Armed Forces managed to improve their positions and advance to the central part of Verkhnekamenskoye, where fierce battles are underway for control of the village. But there is no talk yet of its complete liberation.
- Over the past few months, Russian troops have been able to improve their positions for reaching Seversk. However, in recent years, the enemy has been able to turn the city into a large fortified area, the assault of which will require both significant resources and unconventional tactical approaches.

[IsraelTimes] Claire Shipman acknowledges detained anti-Israel protester Mahmoud Khalil, says democratic norms ‘cannot be taken for granted,’ as some boo and anti-Israel protesters gather outside campus
Columbia University’s acting president, Claire Shipman, backed international students’ rights amid anti-Israel protests and a crackdown by the Trump administration during the university’s commencement ceremony on Wednesday.
"We firmly believe that our international students have the same right to freedom of speech as everyone else, and they should not be targeted by the government for exercising that right," Shipman said to the 16,000 in attendance.
"I know many in our community today are mourning the absence of our graduate Mahmoud Khalil," she said, referring to an anti-Israel protest leader who was arrested by immigration enforcement in March and remains detained.
Cheers and boos were audible as Shipman delivered her speech in the drizzling rain. Some students and faculty wore keffiyehs to the ceremony, video showed, while at least one man waved an Israeli flag.
"Democracy is not inevitable," Shipman said, recounting her experience as a journalist reporting in the repressive Soviet Union.
"Our norms and our systems cannot be taken for granted," she said.
As Shipman spoke, dozens of anti-Israel protesters gathered across the street from the university’s gates. The demonstrators chanted, "Intifada people’s war," "Paleostine is Arab," and "Columbia you’re a liar, you set Paleostine on fire."
There was a heavy police presence in the area and officers manned metal barricades preventing the protesters from reaching the university’s entrance. The campus is closed to the public and security personnel checked bags as graduates and their families filed in for the ceremony.
At least one person was arrested at the protest.
A group of about 10 alumni said at the protest that they were burning their diplomas to protest Columbia’s cooperation with the Trump administration and actions against the anti-Israel protesters. They were unable to light the diplomas on fire due to the rain and tore the documents to pieces instead.
"We will keep fighting alongside students in solidarity with Paleostine until Columbia divests, until Paleostine is free, from the river to the sea," one of the alumni said.
A Columbia spokesperson said, "The university planned and prepared for commencement for months to ensure a safe and celebratory event for the tens of thousands of attendees who joined us on campus, and we are pleased that thousands of our graduates and their families and guests were able to enjoy the events."
"The NYPD managed the small group of protesters outside the gates while the commencement festivities carried on successfully on campus," the spokesperson said.
At a smaller commencement ceremony for Columbia College on Tuesday, students booed and shouted at Shipman as she spoke, saying, "You arrested us." Shipman called the police onto campus earlier this month after anti-Israel activists invaded a campus library and refused to leave, disrupting other students’ studies ahead of final exams. Dozens of students were suspended after the protest.
The university’s swift reaction marked a stark contrast to last year, when administrators held drawn-out negotiations with protesters occupying the campus lawn. Pro-Israel students and faculty praised Shipman’s response to the library protest.
Ahead of Wednesday’s university-wide commencement, an announcement warned against interrupting the event and said disruptive attendees would be asked to leave the ceremony.
The university’s coalition of anti-Israel protest groups, Columbia University Apartheid Divest, sent a message to its followers ahead of the ceremony urging them to protest at the event.
"We have a duty to rise. We have a duty to disrupt," the message said. "Glory to the Martyrs! Victory to the Resistance®!"
In the past, the group, with Khalil among its leaders, has voiced open support for violence and terror groups.
Last year, the university canceled its commencement due to raucous anti-Israel protests on the campus.
Jewish and Israeli students have reported ostracization and discrimination on campus since the anti-Israel protests erupted immediately after Hamas ..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... ’s October 2023 invasion.
An independent task force established by the university reported "crushing" discrimination against the students in a lengthy report issued last year.
The Trump administration has put heavy pressure on the university in recent months, citing campus antisemitism, including by halting hundreds of millions in government funding and demanding administrative reforms.
Last week, New York University said it would deny a diploma to a student who used a graduation speech at NYU’s Gallatin School to condemn Israel. An NYU spokesperson apologized for the speech, accused the student of misusing his platform "to express his personal and one-sided political views," and lying to event organizers about the speech. At NYU’s campus-wide commencement ceremony last week, a small number of pro-Paleostinian students booed and heckled the university president, Linda Mills, without causing any significant disruptions.
[IsraelTimes] Report says agreement in principle reached after over month of talks; discussions ongoing over Palmyra bases, Turkish deployment of air defenses and radars
Israel and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...a NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all.... member, but not the most reliable... have reached an agreement in principle aimed at preventing any unwanted incidents between both countries’ militaries operating in Syria, and established a hotline to avert such conflicts, according to media reports on Wednesday.
An Israeli official told the Israel Hayom daily that the deal was reached Wednesday, after over a month of talks mediated by Azerbaijan, a mutual ally of the two countries, which were confirmed by the Prime Minister’s Office last month.
A hotline will be used to avert festivities between Israel, which has troops in the south of the country, and Turkey, whose military is operating in the north of the country, two sources familiar with the issue told the Middle East Eye news site.
Russia and Israel also established a hotline in 2015 to avoid festivities between their air forces, as Israel worked to prevent Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... from gaining a military foothold in the country, and Russia provided military support for the Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Scourge of Qusayr... regime amid the Syrian civil war.
A source familiar with the talks told the site that Jerusalem was generally at ease with Ankara’s deployment of its forces in Syria, with the main issue over where Turkey would deploy its air defenses and radars, which could scan for Israeli aerial activities. The negotiations are now "focusing on the so-called Palmyra line" — an area where Turkey sought to take over airbases.
Rooters reported last month that Ottoman Turkish military teams reviewed at least three air bases in Syria near Palmyra where they might deploy forces as part of a planned joint defense pact, before Israel hit the sites with Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s, rendering them unusable.
"Those bases represent a gray zone; the Israelis could be amenable to Ottoman Turkish deployments north of that area," the source said.
Ottoman Turkish military officials said they had nothing to announce on the matter.
Israel has accused Turkey of trying to turn Syria into a Ottoman Turkish protectorate, and Ankara has slammed Israeli military activity in the country following the fall of Assad.
Following the fall of Assad, Israel has also carried out a campaign to destroy Syrian military capabilities so that they cannot threaten Israel. It fears that if Turkey establishes a military presence in Syria, it could hamper the Israeli Air Force’s freedom of action in the region.
Israel also moved troops into the Syrian side of the two countries’ demilitarized buffer zone, citing fear that it would fall into the wrong hands.
Meanwhile,
...back at the pie fight, Bella went down under the weight of the custard... Israel has been holding secret talks with Syrian officials, including on the possibility of the new regime joining the Abraham Accords, according to a report released last week, a day after US President Donald Trump ...So far he's been unkillable, and they've tried.... invited new Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa to join the accords and normalize ties with Israel.
Turkey is a key backer of the Islamist-led coalition that toppled Assad late last year after almost 14 years of civil war. Israel is wary of the Islamist presence on its border and has lobbied the United States to curb Turkey’s growing influence in the country.
Turkey’s President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important... is an avowed supporter of Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... and one of the leading critics of Israel on the world stage, and his country has frequently praised the Iran-backed Paleostinian terror group’s October 7, 2023, attack that started the ongoing war, when thousands of turbans invaded southern Israel from the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. Strip, killing some 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages.
Less than a month after the October 7 attack, Erdogan, whose government had only recently restored full diplomatic ties with Israel, massively stepped up his criticism of the Jewish state. In late October 2023, he asserted that Hamas was not a terrorist organization but a liberation group of "mujahideen" fighting for its lands and people, and said in an address to a mass pro-Paleostinian rally in Istanbul that his country was making preparations to proclaim Israel a "war criminal" for its actions in Gaza.
Israel announced it would pull its diplomats out of Turkey in response to Erdogan’s inflammatory statements.
Turkey also hosts several Hamas officials and has repeatedly invited the group’s leaders the the country for meetings.
Israel was a long-time regional ally of Turkey before Erdogan came to power, but ties imploded after a 2010 Israeli commando raid on the Gaza-bound Mavi Marmara ship, part of a blockade-busting flotilla, that left 10 Ottoman Turkish activists dead who attacked IDF soldiers aboard the ship. Netanyahu and Erdogan repeatedly aimed brickbats at each other in the ensuing years. Erdogan has repeatedly compared Netanyahu to Adolf Hitler ...late Fuehrer of Germany, founder of the Third Reich, currently communing with his pals Himmler and Heydrich. He is reincarnated every few days, sometimes every few hour if it's an election year, as a politician somebody doesn't like... and Israel to Nazi Germany.
When the legitimate concerns of the common folk are derided and ignored by their rulers, they will burst out in unseemly ways in an attempt to fix it.

The early-morning arrests in various parts of Germany were accompanied by searches at 13 properties, federal prosecutors said in a statement.
Four of those arrested — identified only as Benjamin H., Ben-Maxim H., Lenny M. and Jason R., in line with German privacy rules — are suspected of membership in a domestic terror organization. The fifth, Jerome M., is accused of supporting the group. Two of the arrested also are accused of attempted murder and aggravated arson. All are between the ages of 14 and 18.
Prosecutors said they are also investigating three other people, ages 18 to 21, who are already in jug. All the suspects are German citizens.
According to the prosecutors, the group was formed in mid-April 2024 or earlier. They said that its members saw themselves as the last resort to defend the "German nation" and aimed to bring about the collapse of Germany’s democratic order, with attacks on homes for asylum-seekers and on facilities associated with the left-wing political spectrum.
Two of the suspects set a fire at a cultural center in Altdöbern in eastern Germany in October, prosecutors said, adding that several people living in the building at the time escaped injury only by chance.
In January, another two suspects allegedly broke a window at a home for asylum-seekers in Schmölln and tried unsuccessfully to start a blaze by setting off fireworks. They daubed the group’s initials and slogans such as "Foreigners out," "Germany for the Germans" and "Nazi area," as well as swastikas, prosecutors said.
Also in January, three suspects allegedly planned an arson attack on a home for asylum-seekers in Senftenberg, but it never came about because of the earlier arrests of two of the men.
Justice Minister Stefanie Hubig said it was "particularly shocking" that all of those arrested Wednesday were minors at the time the group was allegedly founded.
"This is an alarm signal and it shows that right-wing holy warrior terrorism knows no age," Hubig said in a statement.
In a separate case a week ago, German authorities banned a far-right group called "Kingdom of Germany" as a threat to the country’s democratic order and arrested four of its alleged leaders.
In an annual report released Tuesday, the Federal Criminal Police Office said that the number of violent mostly peaceful crimes with a right-wing motivation was up 17.2 percent last year to 1,488. That was part of an overall increase in violent mostly peaceful politically motivated offenses to 4,107, an increase of 15.3%.
[IsraelTimes] Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that the harsh rhetoric and punitive actions, including sanctions, from European nations demanding an end to the war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. "will not influence" Israel to change its national security policies.
"European countries will not influence us and they will not cause us to abandon our core objectives — ensuring the security of Israel and the future of Israel," says Netanyahu at a presser in Jerusalem.
In recent days, European nations have called on Israel to halt its expanded military campaign in Gaza and lift restrictions on aid for Gazook civilians. On Tuesday, the United Kingdom announced a pause in free trade talks with Israel and imposed sanctions on West Bank settlers, a day after the leaders of the UK, La Belle France, and Canada issued a joint statement explicitly threatening to take action against Israel if it does not end the conflict and allow in aid.
"We will do what is necessary to complete the war," says the premier.
"It is a badge of shame that Britannia, instead of imposing sanctions on Hamas ..a regional Iranian catspaw,... , is imposing sanctions on a woman who is threatened daily on the roads of Judea and Samaria by Hamas terrorists," Netanyahu also, likely referring to veteran settler leader Daniella Weiss.
"It’s a total loss of moral direction. These countries are under pressure — from the Islamic minority within them, and from public opinion shaped by Hamas’s false propaganda," the premier says.
Netanyahu says that "the sanctions that are truly concerning" would be imposed by the United Nations ...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships... Security Council. "Binding sanctions — a resolution we will not allow," he asserts.
According to Netanyahu, as a condition for releasing hostages and agreeing to end the war, Hamas is demanding the UN Security Council pass a resolution providing for binding sanctions that would damage Israel’s economy and national security were it to resume fighting the terror group at a later time. Such a resolution, if it passed, would be impossible to revoke, he says.
"That’s why we reject this condition [of ending the war.] It’s a childish condition promoted by people who don’t understand what they’re talking about, saying: ’What’s the problem with ending the war on Hamas’s terms? Just get the hostages out and then go back in’," says Netanyahu.
"They’re forgetting...it won’t come for free. You’d have to evacuate the entire Gaza Strip. There would be a binding resolution in the Security Council that would crash Israel’s economy completely, and also our security systems. It’s insane. Simply insane," he continues.
"This is Hamas’s goal," he says. "They want to stop the war, end it, and push through a binding Security Council resolution — one that would compel 180 countries to impose sanctions on us."
"All those images — the hunger, the claims that ’44,000 children are about to die’ — all of that false propaganda echoes over there, and they cave to it," says the premier, possibly referring to a debunked UN claim earlier this week that 14,000 babies in Gaza would soon die if proper nutrition doesn’t reach them.
"I won’t cave to it. I will do what needs to be done," says Netanyahu, adding that he also rejects the prospect of European nations unilaterally recognizing a Paleostinian state.
"We strongly oppose their intention to give Hamas the ultimate prize — to recognize a Paleostinian state. After October 7, after we saw what a de facto Paleostinian state looks like — it was called Gaza. Hamas’s Gaza. Hamastan. And now they want to create another one? There is no greater reward for terror," says Netanyahu.
He says Israel has "smashed" terror cells in West Bank refugee camps in an unprecedented way. "We are not capitulating to any terrorist — in Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... , Gaza, Leb ...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. Only one of those statements is an exaggeration.... or Judea and Samaria."
[IsraelTimes] In his press conference this evening, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declares that Israel’s relations with the United States are positive and reports in Israeli and US media of a rift between him and US President Donald Trump are false, adding that Trump’s warming of relations with Arab states in the Middle East won’t sideline Israel.
He says he spoke with Trump and with US Vice President JD Vance in recent days and was assured that America has Israel’s back.
“Let me give you some details that perhaps haven’t been made public. A few days ago — I think around 10 days ago, maybe a little more — I spoke on the phone with President Trump. And he said to me, literally: ‘Bibi, I want you to know — I have absolute commitment to you. I have absolute commitment to the State of Israel.’
“Just a few days ago, I spoke with Vice President Vance. He said to me… ‘Listen, don’t pay attention to all these fake news spins about this rupture between us… He said: It’s all spin. This isn’t the truth, you know it’s not true, and I’m telling you, from our side, it’s not true.'”
“We’re coordinated with the [Trump] administration,” continues Netanyahu, “We speak with each other. We respect their interests, and they respect ours — and they overlap. I won’t tell you they align completely — obviously not — but they align almost completely.”
The two allies want to ensure that Iran cannot get the bomb and that Hamas is booted out of Gaza, he says. And “we want to ensure that Trump’s plan” for Gaza comes to fruition, he adds. “It’s a brilliant plan,” he says, that truly can bring change not only here… but can change the face of the Middle East. Change once and for all what we have been through from Gaza for decades.”
Netanyahu also expresses his support for Trump’s objectives of tightening relations with Gulf nations in the Middle East, demonstrated by his visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates last week, saying Trump’s moves may serve Israel by facilitating more Abraham Accords normalization agreements.
“I have no objection to the United States deepening its ties in the Arab world. That’s absolutely fine. And I’ll tell you even more — I believe that can actually help expand the Abraham Accords, which I’m very invested in. I’m interested in that.”
During the roughly two-and-a-half years in which he and Trump prepared the Abraham Accords, says Netanyahu, Gulf states were speaking very harshly about Israel.
“But beneath the surface, something very different was happening. And I think there’s a possibility that this could happen again. I would be very happy if it does, because it’s one of my goals,” he says.
“I’ve always wanted to expand the circle of peace, to extend a hand to our friends and push away the sword of our enemies. I’m very determined in this, and I’m focused on it.”
[IsraelTimes] Tehran agrees to more talks though US has said it cannot enrich uranium; Netanyahu says he’d welcome deal that bars regime from enriching, ensures it can’t build bomb
Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... and the United States will hold the next round of talks on the Islamic Theocratic Republic’s nuclear program in Rome later this week, Tehran and mediator Oman said Wednesday.
The arch-foes have held four rounds of nuclear talks since April 12, the highest-level contact between them since US President Donald Trump ...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons... abandoned the 2015 nuclear deal during his first term.
"The 5th round of Iran-US talks will take place in Rome this Friday," Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi said in a post on X.
Iran confirmed it would attend the meeting.
Iranian Foreign Ministry front man Esmaeil Baqaei said in a statement that Tehran had agreed "to a proposal put forward by (mediator) Oman... to organize another round of Iran-US talks" in the Italian capital on Friday.
The talks aim for a new agreement that would curb Iran’s nuclear activities in return for sanctions relief.
Western countries, including the United States, have long accused Iran of seeking to acquire atomic weapons, while Tehran insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.
However,
denial ain't just a river in Egypt... the Islamic Theocratic Republic, which is sworn to the destruction of Israel, currently enriches uranium to 60 percent, which has no peaceful application, and has obstructed international inspectors from checking its nuclear facilities.
The level of enrichment is far above the 3.67% limit set in the 2015 deal but below the 90% needed for a nuclear warhead.
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ...the very aged actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini...> , expressed doubt this week over the talks.
"We don’t think it will lead to any outcome. We don’t know what will happen," he said.
Denying Iran’s right to enrich uranium was "a big mistake," Khamenei added.
His remarks came after the United States’ key negotiator in the talks, Steve Witkoff, voiced opposition to any Iranian uranium enrichment.
"An enrichment programme can never exist in the state of Iran ever again. That’s our red line. No enrichment," he told right-wing Breitbart News in an interview published on May 9.
Iran has repeatedly insisted its right to maintain uranium enrichment was "non-negotiable."
On Sunday, its Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran would keep enriching uranium "with or without a deal" on his country’s nuclear program.
Trump effectively torpedoed the deal in 2018 during his first term by unilaterally pulling out and reimposing sanctions on Iran’s oil exports and banking sector.
A year later, Iran began rolling back its commitments to the agreement, which had offered sanctions relief in return for UN-monitored restrictions on its nuclear activities.
The three European powers — party to the 2015 accord — are weighing whether to trigger the "snapback" mechanism, which would reinstate UN sanctions in response to Iranian non-compliance. That option expires in October.
Araghchi earlier this month warned of "irreversible" consequences if Britannia, La Belle France, and Germany moved to reimpose sanctions.
CNN ...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for... reported Tuesday that new intelligence obtained by Washington suggests that Israel is making preparations to strike Iranian nuclear facilities, though it was not clear if Jerusalem had made a final decision on the matter.
"Iran remains a serious threat against Israel," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a presser on Wednesday night, stressing that Israel is "in full coordination with the US. We talk to them all the time. We hope that it’s possible to reach an agreement that will prevent a nuclear weapon from Iran."
"That means it will prevent Iran from having the ability to enrich uranium. If it is reached, of course, we will welcome it," he said, before warning that "Israel reserves the right to defend itself against a regime that threatens to destroy us."
[IsraelTimes] Staff Sgt. Danilo Mocanu, 20, buried under rubble in Khan Younis amid expanded IDF offensive; humanitarian groups say assistance not reaching Gazans, too little entering enclave
An Israeli soldier was killed when a booby-trapped building collapsed in the southern Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. Strip, the military said Wednesday, marking the second combat fatality since the launch of a widened offensive in the enclave over the weekend.
Paleostinians in the Strip reported 19 people killed in overnight Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s, as Israel pressed the offensive amid mounting international pressure to halt the fighting and allow more aid into the beleaguered territory.
The Israel Defense Forces said Staff Sgt. Danilo Mocanu, 20, was killed Tuesday amid fighting in Khan Younis, which has become a focus of the intensified military campaign in recent days.
According to a preliminary IDF probe, Mocanu was killed when a bomb planted by terror operatives went kaboom! in a building, which then collapsed with him inside.
Mocanu, of the 7th Armored Brigade’s 82nd Battalion, had gone into the building with a second soldier following initial scans with a drone and a bomb-sniffing dog, the investigation
When the two reached the top floor of the building, a bomb that had been planted there went kaboom!, according to the probe. The detonation brought the top floor onto the rest of the structure, collapsing it.
It took soldiers several hours to extract the body from the rubble, the army said. The second soldier was rescued relatively quickly with minor injuries.
Mocanu, a resident of Holon, is the 420th fatality among Israeli service-members since Israel launched its offensive in Gaza following the October 7, 2023, attack on southern Israel, in which thousands of Hamas ..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... -led Death Eaters killed some 1,200 people and kidnapped 251 others.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered condolences to Mocanu’s family as well as the family of Sgt. Yosef Yehuda Chirak, 22, who was killed Monday in a friendly fire incident while operating with soldiers preparing to demolish a tunnel in northern Gaza.
A friend, Sergei Marchenko, told Hebrew-language media that Mocanu insisted on serving as a combat soldier despite being eligible for an exemption due to being his father’s only child.
"He was scared of war, but said it was for the country," Marchenko told Channel 12 news. "We spoke a month ago, he said it was hard, but, like every combat soldier... did not complain."
According to the Ynet news site, the building where Mocanu was killed was on the western side of Khan Younis, near the Israeli border. The soldiers entered the structure as part of operations paving the way for a broad ground push into Gaza’s second-largest city, which was largely destroyed in earlier rounds of fighting.
Israel on Monday ordered the city’s tens of thousands of residents to move to a humanitarian zone to the southeast, warning that it was preparing an "unprecedented attack" on the area.
The military said Wednesday that the air force had struck 115 targets across the Strip over the past day, hitting rocket launchers, buildings used by terror groups, tunnels, other infrastructure, and cells of operatives. The Navy also shelled areas of northern Gaza to assist troops on the ground, the army said.
According to the military, one missile launched from a helicopter gunship impacted inside Israel near the Gaza border fence due to a technical malfunction. No injuries were caused and an investigation was launched.
The IDF also announced that a recent dronezap in northern Gaza had killed Mohammed Shaheen, a member of Hamas’s elite Nukhba force in the terror group’s East Jabalia Battalion who participated in the October 7 attack, according to Israel.
Gaza’s Hamas-run civil defense agency reported that overnight strikes killed at least 19 people, including a week-old baby, after health authorities said 85 people were killed Tuesday.
"Our crews transported 19 dead, most of them children, and dozens of injured following air raids carried out by the Israeli warplanes in various areas of the Gaza Strip last night and early today," civil defense front man Mahmud Bassal told AFP, naming multiple victims including the newborn.
The figures, which do not differentiate between civilians and button men, could not be verified.
Israel says it takes steps to minimize civilian casualties and blames Hamas which is deeply embedded in civilian infrastructure, operating out of camps, hospitals and schools.
The intensified strikes are part of a major new offensive dubbed "Gideon’s Chariots" launched over the weekend, which Israel says seeks to destroy Hamas and seize and retain the whole territory, while relocating Paleostinians across the enclave.
On Tuesday, Netanyahu recalled a high-level negotiating team from Doha, where talks on a ceasefire and hostage release deal appeared to be stuck.
Jerusalem is facing escalating international pressure to halt the military campaign and allow aid into the enclave.
Internal notes circulated among aid groups Wednesday and seen by The News Agency that Dare Not be Named said that 65 trucks of humanitarian aid were transferred from the Israel side of the Kerem Shalom crossing to the Paleostinian side, but had not moved from there.
Under pressure, Israel agreed this week to allow a "minimal" amount of aid into the Paleostinian territory after preventing the entry of food, medicine and fuel since early March. But UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said Tuesday that aid workers were not able to bring the deliveries to distribution points where it is most needed, after the Israeli military forced them to reload the supplies onto separate trucks and workers ran out of time.
COGAT, the Israeli Defense Ministry body that oversees humanitarian aid, said five trucks entered Monday and 93 trucks entered Tuesday.
The United Nations ...the Oyster Bay money pit... humanitarian agency received approval for about 100 trucks to enter Gaza, front man Jens Laerke said, which is far less than the 600 that entered daily during the latest ceasefire that Israel ended in March. The Foreign Ministry said dozens are expected to enter each day.
The aid included flour for bakeries, food for soup kitchens, baby food and medical supplies. The UN humanitarian agency said it is prioritizing baby formula in the first shipments.
Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) said the aid being allowed in fell far short of what was needed, describing it as a "smokescreen to pretend the siege is over."
"The Israeli authorities’ decision to allow a ridiculously inadequate amount of aid into Gaza after months of an air-tight siege signals their intention to avoid the accusation of starving people in Gaza, while in fact keeping them barely surviving," said Pascale Coissard, MSF’s emergency coordinator in Gaza’s Khan Younis.
Dujarric described the new security process for getting aid cleared to warehouses as "long, complex, complicated and dangerous." Israel says it is implementing steps to attempt to keep the aid from being diverted by Hamas.
