[PJMedia] On Friday night, a federal judge struck down California's decades-long ban on "assault weapons," ruling that the ban violates the Second Amendment as understood under the precedents of District of Columbia v. Heller (2008) and United States v. Miller (1939).
"Under no level of heightened scrutiny can the law survive," U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez
...Cuban-born and nominated by President George W. Bush, this is his second major ruling on a 2nd Amendment case. The second round appeal (an en banc rehearing by the entire 9th Circuit court of appeals) of his 2019 summary judgement against California’s ban on large capacity magazines is scheduled for later this month...
wrote, claiming that the California statutes banning "assault weapons" are "arbitrary and capricious." He issued a permanent injunction that takes effect in 30 days. Attorney General Rob Bonta (D-Calif.) announced he would appeal the decision.
Gov. Gavin Newsom claimed that the ruling "is a direct threat to public safety and innocent Californians." The governor also cited one of the more colorful parts of the ruling, a comparison between a Swiss Army knife and an AR-15.
"Overturning CA's assault weapon ban and comparing an AR-15 to a SWISS ARMY KNIFE is a disgusting slap in the face to those who have lost loved ones to gun violence," Newsom tweeted. "This is a direct threat to public safety and innocent Californians. We won't stand for it."
Yet Benitez's comparison is not as outrageous as Newsom suggests. In the ruling, Benitez notes that Californians already own hundreds of thousands of "assault weapons" under the state's definition, and that the definition in the law is rather arbitrary. These and other points make the Swiss Army knife comparison far more reasonable than it appears at first blush.
"Like the Swiss Army Knife, the popular AR-15 rifle is a perfect combination of home defense weapon and homeland defense equipment. Good for both home and battle, the AR-15 is the kind of versatile gun that lies at the intersection of the kinds of firearms protected under District of Columbia v. Heller, (2008) and United States v Miller, (1939). Yet, the State of California makes it a crime to have an AR15 type rifle. Therefore, this Court declares the California statutes to be unconstitutional," Benitez wrote.
The judge noted that the legacy media twists the facts on gun ownership.
"One is to be forgiven if one is persuaded by news media and others that the nation is awash with murderous AR-15 assault rifles. The facts, however, do not support this hyperbole, and facts matter," he wrote. "Federal Bureau of Investigation murder statistics do not track assault rifles, but they do show that killing by knife attack is far more common than murder by any kind of rifle. In California, murder by knife occurs seven times more often than murder by rifle."
In 2019, for example, assailants murdered 252 people in California with a knife, while criminals murdered only 34 people with some type of rifle. "A Californian is three times more likely to be murdered by an attacker's bare hands, fists, or feet, than by his rifle," Benitez noted. Long past time for this to happen. I don't expect the SC to take it up once it has been appealed to that point, however. Buncha cowards.

[BBC] Magawa the rat, who was awarded a gold medal for his heroism, is retiring from his job detecting landmines.
In a five-year career, the rodent sniffed out 71 landmines and dozens more unexploded items in Cambodia.
But his handler Malen says the seven-year-old African giant pouched rat is "slowing down" as he reaches old age, and she wants to "respect his needs".
There are thought to be up to six million landmines in the South East Asian country.
Magawa was trained by the Belgium-registered charity Apopo, which is based in Tanzania and has been raising the animals - known as HeroRATs - to detect landmines since the 1990s. The animals are certified after a year of training.
Last week, Apopo said a new batch of young rats had been assessed by the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) and passed "with flying colours".
The rats are trained to detect a chemical compound within the explosives, meaning they ignore scrap metal and can search for mines more quickly. Once they find an explosive, they scratch the top to alert their human co-workers. Since this is the Beeb, I expect a followup article investigating atrocities Magawa perpetrated.

Pelosi could try to deploy a battalion of rats on Capitol Hill to sniff out all the mines planted by white supremacists. But I think the rats would refuse to associate with members of Congress.

Rantburg's on a roll... too many Snarks O'The Day to choose from!
Bravo all
Rated Damn Funny! by a panel of experts.
Be aware there are *TWO* movies with the same title. The 1979 original has Peter Falk and Alan Arkin. The 2003 knock-off, the same screenplay but 'adapted', has Michael Douglas who just isn't in the same league.
Serpentine!

Anytime anyone in EOD gets to retire it's a plus.
Indeed. While we are on the subject of movies, the first few minutes of The Hurt Locker lets you get a glimpse of how surreal that job is. Later on, the film descends into the usual crazy soldiers theme, so overall, the movie is just average.
[Epoch Times] Human smugglers along the southern border are openly advertising their services on Facebook and the social media company has fallen short on removing such content. Even as they are caught and exposed. A plethora of user accounts have posted offers to facilitate illegal border crossings on the platform. Some even directly advertise how much they charge for the service. Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.), who took office in January, repeatedly alerted Facebook to the issue in general and to a number of specific posts of this kind, but most of them haven’t been removed, she said. Hey! We don't have time for that! We're looking for conservatives to ban!
Given that some of the posts in question were paid advertisements, it raises the question of whether Facebook has been taking money, at least indirectly, from criminal cartels, which are known to control the human smuggling operations, Cammack said.
The Epoch Times alerted Facebook to about dozen posts and groups that appeared connected with the issue. Most, but not all of them, were subsequently removed.

Yesterday I wrote Katie Herzog’s piece (published on Bari Weiss’ Substack) about a group of doctors who meet regularly to discuss the ways in which woke ideology is seeping into medicine. Today, Herzog has a follow up about a lecture which Yale School of Medicine’s Child Study Center hosted in April. The talk featured a New York psychiatrist named Aruna Khilanani. Her public lecture was titled "The Psychopathic Problems of the White Mind." Well, IMO, white (American) minds are deficient - for putting up with $hit like this.

Mao, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, the Kims...it appears the big psychopaths are on the Left. Considering it all traces to one old white man, Marx, she may be on to something.

The lady is a hack and a fraud. Earning a degree in one or two shady subjects and spouting semi-coherent jargon easily makes you an expert these days.
From her stupid web page.
Yo. I am a forensic psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. I have specialized expertise in treating race (sic), gender, sex, artists (siccer!), and whiteness. Let's roll.
In which Sarah Hoyt lets loose about the recent pandemic, using language we are not accustomed to seeing from her. A taste:
[AccordingToHoyt] First, and because I didn’t promise not to do this: I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I F*CKING TOLD YOU SO.
For everyone who came here to lecture me, that the China Coff was going to depopulate the world, and I was being irresponsible for saying it was like the flu with a lot of stupid number games added; for every one who flounced because I told them the masks were a f*cking stupid idea that did nothing (including, yes, the gentleman who knew that masks would work against a VIRUS because when he was six someone made him put on a mask to go see his dying father); for everyone who mask-Karened with “just put on the mask”; for every raging asshole (including Sprouts grocery store manager) who told me that if I had a mask issue, I could get delivery, making asthma a crime worthy of home arrest; for every insane, stupid governor — Polis might be the dumbest of the lot — who made us wear masks outside, thereby making escape to the zoo or the botanic gardens impossible; to the f*cking airlines who f*cking stupid rules made it impossible for me to be at my dad’s 90th birthday.
Come closer so I can whisper in your ear: I TOLD YOU SO. After which I’m going to knee you in the groin so hard you’ll taste next Wednesday. Yes, even if you’re a woman.
So, yes, I KNEW from the beginning, and I was suicidally depressed that no one else seemed to see it. Honestly? I still don’t understand why. The numbers from the Diamond Princess were clear enough, but more than that, the fact that our institutions announced they wouldn’t audit cases of Covid-19, meaning there was no penalty for inflating the numbers, which they were being given extra money for; and the “must not question” policies of the social media and news media made it obvious what was happening: it’s a scam

Kids are going to miss their second year of camp because high altitude and mandatory mask is a stupid, dangerous combination.
In a lot of ways, camp is less outdoorsy for us; if we were city dwellers and this was the only chance for the kids to see stars, and next year is too old, I would be, shall I say, a bit pissed off.

Her reference to the Diamond Princess is spot on. That contained experience, along with the similar experience on the Roosevelt, provided clear evidence that this virus would have only a limited infection rate.

It’s my understanding that she emigrated after university, Mike, while her family — who are normal European lefties — happily remained behind in Portugal, puzzled by her choice and her politics.
Raj, one of the reasons we make sure to have the source stated at the top of the article in plain sight is so that those who dislike a particular writer need not suffer actually reading their words.
[Babylon Bee] CEDAR HILLS, OR—While discussing the hot-button issue of abortion with a friend over coffee on Friday, local woman Cindy Carson claimed a fetus is just a clump of cells, despite herself being just a slightly older, larger, more organized clump of cells.
"A fetus is just, like, a collection of cells or whatever," said the woman who was also made up of a collection of cells. "It's just, like, biology, you know?"
Her friend, also a clump of cells, agreed. "Yeah, it's just a bunch of cells collected and organized together or whatever." The bunch of cells then asked the barista, who was also reportedly a large clump of cells, for another cup of coffee.
Carson nodded. "Yeah, it's just like, this thing that's totally dependent on the mother -- sorry, birthing person." She said this despite herself being totally dependent on other people for her existence, from her own mom when she was born, to her parents when she was being raised, to other people in her community now that she is grown -- not to mention the God of the universe, on whom she is dependent for every breath she takes.
"Yeah, it's just like a parasite," said the woman who is also a parasite.
At publishing time, sources had confirmed that Carson was actually slightly mistaken, and she was a soul created by God and therefore had infinite worth -- just like the tiny "clumps of cells" she was discussing.
[WIRED] LAURA DOMIGAN IS a chronicler of cows. Every biographical detail and pharmacological footnote could be crucial, so the biochemist has a long list of questions for the farmers she works with. Where was the cow raised? What did it eat? What did it look like? Which medicines did it take and why? How old was the cow when it was slaughtered?
Domigan knows enough to write a family history about these cows, but she’s more interested in what they leave behind when they die. Shortly after a cow has been slaughtered, one of her colleagues arrives at the abattoir with a Petri dish in hand and removes a tiny slither of muscle tissue from the carcass, bathing it in a salt solution to stop the cells within from bursting open or shrivelling up. The precious nugget is then packed in ice and ferried back to Domigan’s laboratory at the University of Auckland in New Zealand.
This is where the bovine biographies come in handy. Domigan’s job is to work out how to turn that collection of cells into hunks of meat grown in stainless steel bioreactors. From a Petri dish to a silo full of steaks, the hope is that one day this process can replace some of the 1.5 billion crop-guzzling, methane-burping cows on the planet today. At a glance, the formula for cultured — or lab-grown — meat is simple. Take some animal cells, feed them on a nutrient-filled broth so they duplicate lots of times, then alter that broth slightly so the cells turn into the constituent parts of meat: muscle, fat, and connective tissue. Perfect this recipe and we could — theoretically — satiate the entire planet’s hunger for burgers and steaks with cells taken from a single cow.
Getting those cells right is a make-or-break issue for the cultured meat industry. Start with the wrong cells and your vat full of would-be-burgers can very quickly turn into a sludge of proto-meat soup. Solve that problem and you’ve still got to work out how to grow those cells at a cost close to conventional meat and then build a whole production process to reliably brew up thousands of tonnes of meat a year. Distilling the essence of an animal into a slice of cells no bigger than a fingertip is a colossal challenge. So far, no one has managed to crack it.
For companies and academics, the only way of figuring all this out is to get up close and personal with a lot of cells. This means getting their hands on cell lines: reliable, well-studied and easy-to-access cells that anyone can experiment on. Cell lines are one of the most basic building tools in scientific research — in the biomedical industry, they’re absolutely everywhere. In the world of cultured meat, however, these much-needed cell lines either don’t exist or are locked up in the labs of a handful of cultured meat companies.
Some scientists fear that the lack of access to cell lines is holding the entire cultured meat industry back. The cellular blueprint for tomorrow’s factory-brewed burgers is out there somewhere — but, without access to cell lines, many of the people trying to make this future a reality are still fumbling around in the half-shadows.

Neither company was a household name before the pandemic. In fact, neither had ever had a single drug approved before. But both had long believed that their mRNA technology, which uses simple genetic instructions as a payload, could outpace traditional vaccines, which rely on the often-painstaking assembly of living viruses or their isolated parts. mRNA turned out to be a vanishingly rare thing in the world of science and medicine: a promising and potentially transformative technology that not only survived its first big test, but delivered beyond most people’s wildest expectations. But its next step could be even bigger. The scope of mRNA vaccines always went beyond any one disease. Like moving from a vacuum tube to a microchip, the technology promises to perform the same task as traditional vaccines, but exponentially faster, and for a fraction of the cost. "You can have an idea in the morning, and a vaccine prototype by evening. The speed is amazing," says Daniel Anderson, an mRNA therapy researcher at MIT. Before the pandemic, charities including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) hoped to turn mRNA on deadly diseases that the pharmaceutical industry has largely ignored, such as dengue or Lassa fever, while industry saw a chance to speed up the quest for long-held scientific dreams: an improved flu shot, or the first effective HIV vaccine. Amesh Adalja, an expert on emerging diseases at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, in Maryland, says mRNA could "make all these applications we were hoping for, pushing for, become part of everyday life." "When they write the history of vaccines, this will probably be a turning point," he adds. Personally, I also enjoy people (term used solely for purposes of reference) who can't be bothered to read the relevant wiki article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Promoter_(genetics) - screaming their heads off about "genetic engineering".

I am reminded of the often heard report of "my 90 year old aunt or uncle got the JAB and experienced no side effects."
Modifying or altering human genetics to fight off undesirable tools of nature. What do we actually know of the long-term outcomes? And if the outcomes were actually known, who would have the courage to discuss them ?
Are we to assume there are no prevailing consequences, or does the cost-benefit-analysis shadow or out-weigh a distant risk ?
[CNN] The American Legion Department of Ohio has suspended the charter of a post in the city of Hudson after a Memorial Day incident in which the keynote speaker's microphone was turned off during part of his speech that touched on Black people's historic role in creating the national holiday, the state organization said in a news release.
"The American Legion Department of Ohio does not hold space for members, veterans, or families of veterans who believe that censoring black history is acceptable behavior," the news release said.
The Legion said upon its demand, an officer for Lee-Bishop Post 464 resigned as a post officer and the American Legion has demanded that he resign his membership altogether. The state organization said it has suspended the post's charter "pending permanent closure."
According to the release, an investigation by the American Legion found that the actions taken at the Memorial Day ceremony in Hudson were "pre-meditated and planned."
The Legion said organizers "knew exactly when to turn the volume down and when to turn it back up."
Prior to the event, retired Army Lt. Col. Barnard Kemter had given a copy of his speech to the chair of the Memorial Day Parade committee and president of the Hudson American Legion Auxiliary, and she asked Kemter to remove a specific part of the speech regarding Black people's historical role in the holiday, the Legion said.
The state organization said Kemter did not change his speech.
CNN has reached out for comment from Lee-Bishop Post 464, the post officer who resigned and the committee chairperson.
The action taken by Post 464 "constitutes a violation of the ideals and purposes of the American Legion," the news release said.
"We are deeply saddened by this and stand in unity and solidarity with the black community and all peoples of race, color, religion, sex, and gender, so that those who are exclusive of such persons will know that this behavior is not acceptable in The American Legion, in our homes, our hearts, our communities, in private, public, or anywhere," the Legion added.
State Rep. Casey Weinstein, a Democrat, who has called for action from the American Legion Department of Ohio, praised the decision in a tweet, saying the Legion had "handled the racist censorship of Lt. Col. Kemter with the seriousness it deserves. I am proud to accept their invitation to re-up my membership in the Legion as an at-large member of Department HQ Post 888."

[Regnum] After the visit of the US Special Representative for the Western Balkans, Matthew Palmer, to Belgrade on June 3, there were quite justified fears that the formation of the Community of Serbian Municipalities, agreed upon in 2013, would be presented as a big concession to Belgrade. This opinion was expressed to IA REGNUM by the Serbian political analyst, ex-deputy of the Serbian parliament Djordje Vukadinovic .
[Liberty Guard] As America celebrates another Memorial Day, remembering and honoring those who gave their lives in defense of our country and our freedoms, it is appropriate that we reflect also on the state of our armed forces, not so much in terms of where and how our forces are deployed (itself a timely and critical exercise for the Congress to deal with), but from the perspective of freedom within the military. In other words, are the men and women who serve, and who have served in our armed services, in both military and civilian capacities, having their individual liberty constrained simply by being associated with the military?
This might seem an odd question to be asked of our military, but considering the strange priorities reflected in actions taken by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin during his first four months in office, it is a very relevant inquiry; the answer to which is deeply troubling.
In his 2003 book on the history of secret police — The Unsleeping Eye — Robert Stove quotes a passage written by Napoleon Bonaparte’s notorious Minister of Police, Joseph Fouché, to describe the situation by which new governments solidify their hold on power:
"Every government at its dawn usually takes advantage of a danger it has created, either to make it more firm, or to extend its power; all it needs is to escape a conspiracy to acquire more strength and influence."
Joe Biden was sworn into office just two weeks after the Jan. 6 violence that took place on Capitol Hill following a speech earlier that day by then-President Donald Trump. This "insurrection," as liberals and the mainstream media have come to call it, became the centerpiece for much of what the new administration claimed was the need for a crack-down on "extremism" and "white supremacy." Indeed, to this day, nearly six months after Jan. 6, national guard troops remain stationed in Washington, D.C. and "temporary" fencing remains on the Capitol ground.
In his role as defense secretary, Lloyd Austin has taken hold of the "extremism" ball passed to him by Biden, and continues to run with it as a primary, if not the main focus of his job. First, he highlighted the "danger" posed by "extremists in the ranks" to be a fundamental, if not existential threat to the good order and performance of America’s military, and on Feb. 5 issued an unusual, military-wide "stand down" to "address extremism." He followed this on April 9 by issuing a Defense Department order to establish a "Countering Extremism Working Group (CEWG)" with jurisdiction to include all military service members, civilian DOD employees and even retired military.
At the helm of this wide-ranging but vaguely defined "working group," is Bishop Garrison, appointed by Austin to be his "Point of Contact." Mr. Garrison’s position is not subject to Senate confirmation, and whether Republicans in either the House or the Senate will proactively inquire into what exactly he and his working group will be up to in the months ahead, remains to be seen. Republicans, however, should be concerned — very concerned — about where this is leading, insofar as it clearly conveys a plan to identify, intimidate, and remove civilians and military personnel with whatever Mr. Garrison and Secretary Austin consider to be "extremist" views."

Problem is "come after me" doesn't work. We need to go after him, had, direct and relentlessly until he is ruined, career-wise, mentally, and physically; to a point where suicide seems to be the best alternative he has. That's the pit he needs to be in. and keep him there, alive, as an example.

Sindh Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Friday summoned two senior MQM leaders in relation to the recent arrested three ’India-linked’ party affiliates, according to CTD Deputy Inspector General of Police Omar Shahid Hamid.
The department’s team served the notice at the house of Dr Farooq Sattar and summoned him on Saturday to appear before the Sherlocks in case no 54/2021 registered at the CTD Civil Lines Police Station. According to the notice, the arrested MQM affiliates had told the Sherlocks that they got affiliation with India’s RAW ... India's Research and Analysis Wing, Pakistain's equivalent of the Boogie Man... agency with Sattar’s assistance.
Omar Shahid said that Anees Advocate, another party leader, had also been summoned for questioning about his role in ’terrorist’ incidents in Hyderabad. Earlier on May 28, 2021, the CTD had exposed what is called a ’big terrorism network’ of MQM formed in Sindh by arresting three alleged holy warriors belonging to Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... and Hyderabad.
With the assistance of a federal intelligence agency, the CTD had arrested Naeem Ahmed, Imran Ahmed and RAW-trained Aleemuddin from near Landhi Railway Station and recovered arms, ammunition and hand grenades from their possession, it said.
Accused Naeem, on the instructions of party’s high command from abroad, had formed the six-member gang, for killing opponents and for terrorist activities. He was the senior most party activist and joint in-charge of Sindh Organizing Committee. He had been arrested several times earlier and had been to jail for his involvement in cases of kabooms, terrorism and others.
Accused Imran, also a senior most activist and former sector in-charge, zonal member and UC chairman, had been involved in attacks on a cop shoppe, killing police personnel and others. He had also been to jail. Aleemuddin had been arrested and sent to jail for his involvement in killing police personnel by firing on police mobiles and other crimes. Number of terrorism cases against him were already underway.

[MSN] A specter is haunting America, a great revolt that threatens to dwarf the noxious rebellion led by Trump. The echoes of a another potentially larger pushback can already be heard in progressive America. But it's not towards socialism, as many suggest. It's the opposite: a new middle-class rebellion against the excesses of the Left.
This new middle-class rebellion isn't rejecting everything that progressives stand for; the Left's critique of neo-liberal excess is resonating, as is the need for improved access to health care. But the current focus on "systemic racism," coupled with a newfound and heavily enforced cultural conformism and the obsessive focus on a never-ending litany of impending "climate emergences" are less likely to pass muster with most of the middle class, no matter how popular they are with the media, academics, and others in the progressive corner.

They don't care they're 8%, they'll just disregard us. They view us as irredeemable, stupid fuckwits who can't be reasoned with. We are to be crushed. Did Stalin negotiate with the kulaks?
And they have zero compunction about election cheating. They regard elections as invalid anyway. Electoralism is a nonstarter for them.
[AlAhram] The Egyptian equipment and crews will remove debris and rubble from buildings destroyed by last month's devastating Israeli air strikes on Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Egypt has sent a massive engineering equipment and crews to participate in the Gaza Strip reconstruction efforts after last month's devastating Israeli bombing campaign crossed the Rafah border crossing on Friday, state-owned MENA agency reported.
The crews and equipment, which includes a large number of trucks, bulldozers and cranes, will participate in removing debris and rubble from the buildings that were destroyed by the 11-day Israeli air strikes and bombings of the strip last month.
The re-construction convoy comes under a pledge by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to contribute $500 million as part of an Egyptian initiative for reconstructing the Gaza Strip, with the participation of Egyptian companies, in order to mitigate the suffering of Paleostinians and restore normality in the Gaza Strip.
Last month, the Israeli bombing campaign of Gaza - deemed the most serious Israeli assault on the strip since 2014 - killed more than 250 Paleostinians, injured 1,900 and destroyed 2,000 residential and commercial buildings, leaving thousands homeless.
The densely populated Gaza Strip is home to two million Paleostinians, most of whom are refugees from the 1948 war.
On 21 May, Egypt mediated a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, along with other Paleostinian factions.
Since then, Cairo has launched intensive diplomatic efforts to cement the ceasefire and lay the ground work for the resumption of peace talks between the Paleostinians and Israelis.
Meanwhile, ...back at the alley, Slats grabbed for his rosco... Egypt has already sent a ton of medical and humanitarian aid to Gaza to help the Paleostinians deal with the aftermath of Israel's deadly offensive on the strip.
Egypt also continues to open its Rafah crossing with the Gaza Strip to allow stranded Paleostinians and humanitarian cases to cross the border in both directions.
Medical and administrative teams are stationed at the terminal to facilitate the passage of the injured and their escorts to hospitals.

Egypt's actions may seem strange, but since 1967 its policy has been to block the movement of Gaza people to Egypt itself. It has no wish to absorb tens of thousands of f-ups (especially in the problem-plagued Sinai). Egypt ruled Gaza until sixty-seven and knows damned well that the able and prosperous Gazans all left the hellhole prior to 67. The rest of the Arab World knows it and the money spent by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, etc., is to keep the miserable Gazans in Gaza.

[KhaamaPress] Ariana News confirms the death of one of its female journalists, killed in an IED explosion Thursday evening in Kabul city.
Mina Khairi, a female journalist and media worker for Ariana Radio and Television and her mother were killed in the IED explosion at 7:00 PM on Thursday evening.
Another female journalist at Ariana News, who does not want to be named in the report told Khaama Press that Mina Khair with her mother and sister had gone out shopping, on the way back home, they were targeted by an IED explosion.
According to the source Mina and her mother has been killed and her sister has got serious injuries.
The explosion occurred at Pul-e-Sukhta area of Kabul PD6, police told media last night.
This comes as that Reporters without borders (RSF) has recently asked the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the murder cases of the journalists killed in Afghanistan.
The documents for the 11 murders including including the death of 3 female journalists have been submitted to ICC.
[BREITBART] Vermont Gov. Phil Scott (R) is asking state lawmakers to pass an elections law that would allow non-citizens across the state to vote in local municipality elections.
Scott vetoed two pieces of legislation that sought to give non-citizens the right to vote in local elections in Montpelier and Winooski, Vermont. However, he said he is not opposed to the plan but wants state legislatures to send him a bill that would give non-citizens the right to vote, statewide, in local elections.
“This is an important policy discussion that deserves further consideration and debate,” Scott wrote in his vetoes.

What a bunch of nonsense coming from the governor. So if the Federal government allows anyone to flood into the U.S., they can be relocated wherever they are needed to sway an election. With "proper" incentives (e.g. buying of votes or threats to be returned from wherever they came or bribes), they can be encouraged to vote for the "proper" candidate or issue. What's to keep them from voting in non-local elections? Voting is a right of free citizens.

The Chinese are going to start boating people over with all their plastic junk. It would only take ~100 million a few months before Election Day to select the GIVERnment they want with out ‘buying’ it as they do today.

This only - supposedly - applies to local elections, and the local jurisdiction has the power to determine who votes in that jurisdiction (as long as it does not violate US civil rights laws.)
[CHICAGO.SUNTIMES] Four of the six people shot in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... Thursday were teenagers 18 or younger.
In the day’s only fatal attack, an 18-year-old man was killed when he exchanged gunfire during an argument Thursday night in Park Manor.
The person he was arguing with pulled out a gun and so did the teen around 8:50 p.m. in the 6700 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, Chicago police said.
The two fired at each other and the teen was hit in the abdomen, police said. He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. He's dead, Jim! police said. His name hasn’t been released.
OTHER SHOOTINGS:
— A 15-year-old girl was critically maimed in a shooting on Lake Shore Drive Thursday night.
She was in a car with relatives when they stopped at a light about 11:45 p.m. in the 500 block of Lake Shore Drive, police said. When the light turned green, someone in a red Ford Expedition began firing at their car.
One of her relatives told officers they had not interacted with anyone in the Ford, according to police.
The girl was hit in the stomach and a relative took her to MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, police said. She was transferred at death's door to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
— A 17-year-old boy was maimed in a shooting in Archer Heights on the Southwest Side.
The boy was driving in the 5000 block of South Pulaski Road about 8:25 p.m. when he was grazed in the head. He was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said. He was unable to provide any further details, according to police.
— Minutes earlier, a 36-year-old man was shot in Washington Park on the South Side.
Just after 8 p.m., the man was parked on the street in the 5600 block of South Wabash Avenue when someone shot him in the left hip, police said. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition, according to police.
— Thursday morning, a 14-year-old boy was shot in the foot in Lawndale on the West Side.
Two button men in their 20s exited a gray car and one of them opened fire about 7:50 a.m. in the 3900 block of West Fillmore Street, near Pulaski Road, according to Chicago police. The boy was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said. The button men left in the car and were not in jug.
— In the day’s first reported shooting, a man was shot during a robbery on the Near North Side.
The man was walking in the 500 block of North Wabash Avenue when he was approached by a robber about 2:10 a.m., Chicago police said. The man complied and the robber ran off.
The man chased him and the robber fired several shots before getting into a silver sedan, police said. The man was struck once in the hip and was brought to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
13 people were shot, 2 fatally, Wednesday in Chicago. One of them was a 14-year-old girl attacked in Back of the Yards.

[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Michaela Kennedy-Cuomo opened up about her sexuality on Instagram, where she also shared two images of herself in a 'gay for you' cap
One photo had the rainbow Pride flag and the Pansexual flag in the background
She began the post simply by stating: 'Michaela Kennedy-Cuomo is queer'
The Brown University graduate, who is the younger sister of twins Mariah and Cara, also took aim at Instagram for 'censoring the LGBTQ community'
She accused the photo-sharing app of banning 'words such as lesbian and bi', claiming that this 'stripped her ability to find queer content and community'
Michaela then paid tribute to the 'activists who fought for her right to love and happiness' while sharing her support for other LGBTQ people
Neither Cuomo or his ex-wife have yet to publicly comment on Michaela's post
In April, it was revealed Michaela and her two sisters, Mariah and Cara, 26, were each given $330,000 by Cuomo after he inked a $5million book deal
The payment was put in a trust, with the Governor praising the 'tireless and effective work' his daughters did 'for all New Yorkers' during the pandemic
[Rudaw] Amnesia Amnesty International on Thursday called on Iraqi authorities to reveal the fate of more than 600 Iraqi men "forcibly disappeared" by Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) five years ago.
"For five years, the families of these men and boys have been living in anguish, not knowing the fate of their loved ones, or whether they are even alive," said Lynn Maalouf, deputy director for the Middle East and North Africa at Amnesia Amnesty International.
On June 3, 2016 around 1,300 men and boys were put into buses and trucks by gunnies as they were trying to flee from the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group (ISIS) in the city of Saqlawiyah in the Fallujah district of Anbar province. The men were considered to be of fighting age.
The whereabouts of at least 643 of them are still unknown.
Survivors told Amnesia Amnesty International they recognized the gunnies as members of the PMF because of their clothing and identifying patches.
ISIS seized control of vast areas of northern Iraq in 2014, killing civilians and enslaving others across Sunni-majority provinces. Fallujah was the first major urban center seized by the Death Eater group. The Iraqi army and the PMF launched an offensive on May 22, 2016 to retake the city.
According to a 2016 report from Human Rights Watch, militias belonging to the PMF, also known as Hashd al-Shaabi or the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), entered the district alongside Iraqi federal police and detained at least 1,700 men.
A day later, 605 detainees were released for medical treatment — many of them bearing the marks of rape and torture. According to the watchdog, at least four men died under torture. Some of them had been dragged behind vehicles. Another later died in hospital.
The PMF had a database of wanted individuals. As families fled the fighting and crossed PMF lines, their names were checked with the database. If a name matched, the men of the household were arrested and taken to an undisclosed location.
Human Rights Watch has accused the PMF militias, many of which are Shiite, of committing war crimes by destroying Sunni homes and executing civilians accused of ISIS affiliations.
Hadi al-Amiri, a senior PMF commander and current head of the Iraqi parliament’s Fatih coalition, "vowed" at the time to hold to account those who had committed war crimes and abuses against civilians.
Two separate committees were formed by then Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi and the governorate of Anbar, but neither has revealed any details about the missing men and boys.
"To date, the Iraqi authorities have never publicly revealed the outcome of an investigation into disappearances and abuses committed during the retaking of Fallujah, ... the City of Mosques, which might have somthing to do with why it's not called Center of Prosperity or a really nice place to raise your kids... leaving families in a perpetual state of limbo," said Amnesia Amnesty International’s Maalouf.
"The Iraqi authorities must end this anguish and reveal the fate and whereabouts of those forcibly disappeared by the PMU. We also urge the authorities to publicly disclose the findings of their official investigation and hold those responsible to account to the full extent of the law," she added.
According to the International Committee of the Red Thingy (ICRC), Iraq has one of the highest numbers of missing people in the world, to a point that every Iraqi family has firsthand experience or knows someone who was forcibly disappeared.
[NYPOST] Unruly protesters smashed a window at the famed Greenwich Village eatery Carbone on Thursday night — leaving one diner with minor injuries, police and sources said.
Police said they are investigating the vandalism to the outdoor dining structure of the Italian American hotspot that occurred as a group of demonstrators marched by at about 8:15 p.m.
One woman seated at an outdoor table suffered a cut to her shoulder, police and sources said. She refused medical attention at the scene.
The woman was among a party of about eight diners who were still at the table about two hours later as workers quickly replaced the shattered window with a new one.
Despite the scare, the group appeared to be in good spirits, sipping on red wine.
Thursday’s demonstration was part of the Stonewall Protests, which gathers weekly outside the iconic Greenwich Village bar to march around Manhattan.
Restaurant staff declined to comment on the vandalism, but the NYPD condemned it.
"Businesses throughout NYC are still recovering from the past year, purposely causing damage to their business is not helping any cause," the department said in a statement posted to Twitter.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] China has two problems with opposite momentums — one of seemingly irreversible shrinkage; the other of uncontrollable sprawl. The first has been written about a lot recently: The slowing population growth that threatens the country’s economy. It’s hard for the government to convince people not to choose smaller families when some men are willing to undergo surgery to maintain their family finances.
The second issue is more difficult to squeeze into a sexy headline but it’s also a risk to the economy. So I’ll try: China’s State-Owned Enterprises Need a Vasectomy.
For starters, the State Council — China’s highest executive body — oversees a vast family of companies and corporations through the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, or SASAC; there are 97 in this elite clan, to be exact. Meanwhile, ...back at the shootout, Butch clutched at his leg. Son of a Breech! he exclaimed with feeling...... the Ministry of Finance controls dozens more, including China Huarong Asset Management Co., the bank for disposing of distressed loans that is itself distressed because of a spending spree. The Ministry of Education is the ultimate overseer of Peking University Founder Group and Tsinghua Unigroup Co., both of which have defaulted on their dollar bonds. Then there are the provincial, city and township SASACs, each engaged in empire building (and debt accumulation) on the local level.
As Beijing’s top policy makers insist on fiscal and market discipline, we’re going to see record defaults and profit warnings from these state-owned enterprises. All that drama — from lawsuits to bizarre personnel moves — will embarrass Beijing and make investors even more uneasy.
Take Shanghai Electric Group Corp., one of the 41 SOEs owned by Shanghai SASAC. It’s suing four customers who are controlled by other government-owned entities. On May 31, Shanghai Electric said a 40%-owned subsidiary, which sells non-core products such as network communication gears, had trouble collecting overdue bills. It wants 4.1 billion yuan ($642 million) from the four, or 47% of the subsidiary’s total receivables. The customers can ultimately be traced to China Electronics Corporation — an SOE owned by the State Council’s SASAC — the Beijing municipal government, the fifth office of the Shanghai municipal government, and the SASAC of the city of Harbin.
S&P Global Ratings had expected Shanghai Electric to generate 8 billion to 8.5 billion yuan Ebitda earnings this year. The uncollected cash could wipe out the conglomerate’s entire annual profit with impairments that could run up to 8.7 billion yuan. Its Shanghai-listed shares tumbled 15% after the news broke.
Shanghai Electric may have put too much trust in fellow state-owned clients: It only asked for a 10% down payment before delivery. Turns out the customers couldn’t cough up the rest when collection time came.
We will witness more public spats among comrades because most SOEs don’t make enough money. There are more than 1,000 of them listed on mainland bourses, and the top 5% account for over 70% of total profit, data compiled by Bloomberg Opinion show. As of 2019, the latest data available, SOEs held 126 trillion yuan of debt, or about 40% of the nation’s total, making China one of the world’s most leveraged nations.
The so-called reform of the SOEs has been at a snail’s pace for decades. There always seemed to be time to fix things in the future. But entrenched interests encouraged company finances to distend and swell. A little snip early on might have prevented the unkind cuts that may be looming now.

Ought to look into the American program. Births don't seem to be a problem in certain neighborhoods in American cities. Your problem is that Chinese culture is too much like White culture.
[IsraelTimes] MK Nir Orbach, regarded as greatest potential threat to Bennett-Lapid government, privately says he won’t torpedo it, according to multiple reports, but nail-biting 10 days ahead.
The eight-party coalition that aims to oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appears increasingly likely to secure the necessary majority support in the Knesset, Israel’s two main news stations reported Friday night.
The assessment among all members of the "change bloc," led by Prime Minister-designate Naftali Bennett and Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid, is that the coalition will indeed be sworn in, Channel 12 said, with a wafer-thin 61-59 majority.

I hope nobody on the right really wants to allow Ra’am, the party of the Muslim Brotherhood in Israel, anywhere near the levers of power, but without Bibi Netanyahu’s Likud they’re stuck. I’m with g(r)omgoru, but I thought I would post just one article on the subject, in case they really do manage to cobble together a government this time — I didn’t want y’all to be shocked, should the time come.
It’s just really annoying that that the Israeli press and the governing class so loathe Mr. Netanyahu that they’re willing to take down the entire country to do so, exactly as the same class has been doing here.
[Discover Magazine] Almost 40 years ago, scientists discovered that human activities were depleting the ozone layer and that a hole had formed over Antarctica. These sobering discoveries brought the world together to tackle an environmental challenge of a lifetime. CFCs were banned in Montreal in 1987.
The effects of CFCs might go beyond the ozone layer. CFCs are potent greenhouses gases and could have a broader impact on climate change outcomes. CFCs are found in relative concentrations in the atmosphere when compared to carbon dioxide, so they’re considered a minor player in global warming.
While CFCs don't seem to cause global warming, a different picture emerges with regional warming. Recent research has shown that these same gases have sped up the warming of the Arctic, contributing to a sea level rise and surface warming in the North Pole.
Maybe a 'minor player', but a contributing factor, it seems. Over time, the protocol has been updated to include more substances that could cause harm to the ozone layer and the climate. For example, in 2016, hydrofluorocarbons were added to the list of controlled substances, because these gases have been identified as potent greenhouse gases. The treaty is considered to be one of the most successful protocols to tackle an environmental challenge caused by humans. Are we now conflating the 1987 ozone agreement with subsequent concern over CO2? Greta would be proud!
Although the gases have been banned, they're not gone for good. Stephen Montzka, a research chemist at the NOAA, says they've detected possible illegal CFCs in the atmosphere. In 2018, Montzka coauthored a report in Nature that showed unexpected levels of CFC-11, a type of chlorofluorocarbons, were present. This concentration of CFC-11 was perhaps the result of unauthorized industrial production, going against the Montreal Protocol. Did someone say China? Other third-world countries? Countries that signed the Paris Accord to limit man-made global climate change Who will tell Greta?
Note: A much shorter version of this November, 2020 article appeared in the June, 2021 issue of Discover Magazine.

I had to replace my 20 year old furnace this spring and junked the air conditioner at the same time -- the coolant couldn't even be imported into the US since two years ago, much less manufactured here. Modern times, modern problems.

Actually I'm still wondering what happened to the "global cooling" (1970s) and "acid rain" (1980s) panics. They both predate the "hole in the ozone layer" panic.
And "experts" wonder why we are skeptical.

Whatever Happened to the Hole in the Ozone Layer?
The political hay and General Panic was no longer profitable.
Like the Amazon JUNGLE Forest issue.
Once we started asking Hollywood to put their $$$$$$ where their Mouths said and pointing out a few 100,000 Jungle Forest acres would only cost 5% to 10% of their normal take from a movie. They suddenly got quite and started another panic for media attention.

Pro-ISIS websites published a statement from the group in which they claimed their fighters detonated an bomb at a "gathering of the Rafidah [Shiite] infidels" in the Kadhimiya area, killing three people and wounding more than twenty others.
The Iraqi military’s Security Media Cell said the blast was the result of an exploding gas pipe in a shop. It did not report any deaths, but stated some people were maimed.
In its weekly propaganda newspaper al-Naba, ISIS claimed it conducted 20 attacks across Iraq between May 27 and June 2, killing and injuring 25 people.
[NYPOST] Angry protesters lit fires, looted stores and taunted cops in Minneapolis Thursday after officers shot and killed a man — who was a runaway who whipped out a handgun when authorities closed in on him.
Members of a US Marshals task force were attempting to arrest the felon around 2 p.m. on a state warrant for being a criminal in possession of a firearm, authorities said.
"During the incident, the subject, who was in a parked car, failed to comply and produced a handgun resulting in task force members firing upon the subject," the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department, which was part of the task force involved in the fatal arrest, said in a statement.
The man killed has since been identified as 32-year-old Winston Boogie Smith by local media and friends and family on social media.
Smith was convicted of aggravated robbery in 2017 and received a stayed prison sentence and was put on probation, according to WCCO.
A warrant was then issued for his arrest after he skipped a probation violation hearing in May — which would have sent him to prison, the outlet said.
Officers attempted to revive Smith but he was declared dead by paramedics on the scene. A woman who was in the car with the suspect sustained minor injuries from shattered glass, the statement said.
Several law enforcement agencies had been involved in the arrest, including local sheriff’s offices as well as the federal Department of Homeland Security, but not Minneapolis police, the Star Tribune said.

[Korrespondent] Transportation of gas through Ukraine will be more expensive than via Nord Stream 2, but Russia is ready to continue using the Ukrainian GTS.
Russia intends to increase gas supplies to Europe, for which the Ukrainian gas transportation system will also be needed, but Ukraine is overstating transit prices. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, June 4.
He recalled that a five-year contract is in force between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
"Do you think that we should feed everyone? Is it our duty to feed everyone, or what? We have a contract with Ukraine on pumping gas through Ukraine. We will pump up to 40 billion cubic meters within 5 years. almost up to 200, but if there were normal relations, then a significant part would be pumped through Ukraine, "Putin said.
He noted that gas supplies to Europe will grow, so it will be possible to load the Ukrainian gas transportation system after the launch of Nord Stream-2. "We want this, but Ukraine's goodwill is needed," he said.
At the same time, Putin noted that pumping through the SP-2 would be cheaper than through Ukraine.
“Those who think or believe that this is bypassing some other transit countries - this thesis does not correspond to reality. Because the route along the bottom of the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany is shorter in terms of the number of kilometers country. It is shorter and cheaper, "- said the President of the Russian Federation.
According to him, Ukraine monopolistically overstates transit prices, reducing the attractiveness of its transit, "the monopoly is bad."
Putin also said that in 2021, Russian gas exports to Europe could again exceed 200 billion cubic meters. m.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his conviction that Russia would completely stop gas transit through Ukraine after the launch of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline.
In response, the Kremlin assured that they did not intend to abandon Ukrainian transit upon the expiration of the current contract.
More from Russkaya Vesna :
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy sensed that the ground under his feet was leaving in connection with the completion and imminent readiness for the launch of the first string of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline...
...In Ukraine, the opinion has long been rooted that Russia is planning to put pressure on the "square" at the expense of the gas pipeline.
Replied Putin:
"Do you think we should feed everyone? Do we have such a duty - to feed everyone or what?" The head of the Russian state was surprised at such a formulation of the question.
Yet, more, again, from Russkaya Vesna:
...it should be noted that Moscow has repeatedly stated that Russia does not set the task of suspending gas supplies through Ukraine and has never used the issue of energy and its natural resources as an element of pressure or for blackmail.
At the same time, Ukraine is constantly calculating the already existing and future losses from reduced transit: according to a recent statement by Naftogaz of Ukraine, the launch of Nord Stream 2 threatens the country with loss of transit revenues and the loss of a “security component”.
[IsraelTimes] Iran’s and Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,’s campaigns against Israel should be seen for what they are: acts of desperation.
Recent headlines from Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... about Hamas’s ’successes’ are no more than wishful thinking. The truth is that Israel has recently become so successful and powerful that — wishful thinking aside — its enemies have only cause for despair.
How on earth was the shooting of more than 4,000 missiles with an ensuing 13 deaths a victory?! And the one soldier who was killed was helping with emergency supplies for Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... at the moment he was killed. However nobody picked up on this, another indication of the one area in which Israel is floundering: public relations.
IRAN WAS BEHIND GAZA WAR
Iran, which some time ago threatened Dire Revenge against Israel, was undoubtedly behind the Gaza attacks and other disturbances. Also, Israel is being bombarded daily by negative reporting. Whereas the media themselves are the ones who are inventing the negative news and influencing public opinion against Israel.
WHAT ARE ISRAEL’S RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS?
— At the beginning of May, Intel announced that it is investing 10 billion dollars in its second mega-factory in Israel. On the same day the company announced a further 600 million dollars in investments in Israel.
— In 2020, more than 10 billion dollars was invested in Israeli high-tech start-ups, a record. This year the figure is expected to be around 20 billion dollars.
— Recently, the United Arab Emirates announced that it is establishing a 10-billion-dollar fund for investments in Israel.
— Well over 500 multinationals have established research centers in Israel.
— Israel currently has more start-ups than all countries of Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... combined.
— China is building a massive port in Haifa in which it has already invested over 3 billion dollars.
— Israel’s national gas fields have made the country nearly self-sufficient in energy and Israel will soon be exporting billions of dollars of gas per year to Egypt and Jordan. There are plans to build an underwater pipeline to Europe by 2025.
— Israeli desalination plants have made the country self-sufficient in water and Israel produces 95% of its food and is a major exporter of fresh produce, as well as a world leader in agricultural technologies.
— Israel has become a world leader in new medical technologies and was the first country in the world to vaccinate its population against COVID-19.
— Israel’s birthrate is double that of other Western nations. The demographic threat is a myth. The Jewish birthrate is now only slightly below the declining Arab birthrate and immigration makes up for the difference. Ultra-Orthodox Jews are thought to have the world’s highest birth-rate.
— Israel is now the world’s eighth largest arms supplier and is considered the eighth most powerful military might in the world.
AN ISRAELI BBC WOULD PROVIDE THE WORLD WITH QUALITY BROADCASTING AND INFORMATION
The answer to Israel’s tarnished public relations is to invest in the establishment of an international broadcasting corporation which would provide quality programming and information. Israel has amazing cultural potential, but Israeli culture and media are almost non-existent outside the country. It is imperative that Israel establish international media corporations to compete with the BBC and al-Jazeera.

Doing well yes. But actually. it's not so much Israel is thriving than it is their neighbors are failing so miserably. Simply bad luck or natural selection, you decide.
[THEASPENBEAT] Millions of sub-Saharan blacks seek to immigrate to America. They apparently haven’t gotten the memo that this is a wretched land of systemic anti-black racism. When they get here, they’re strangers in a strange land. English is usually not their first language. Their skin color tends to be very black, not the lighter color of American blacks who have an average of about 25% white blood in them.
Despite those handicaps, they do better than American-born blacks. Compared to American-born blacks, their income is about a third higher, their poverty rates are significantly lower, their educational achievement is higher, and their marriage rate is double.
Here’s the most intriguing statistic. Although black immigrants colonists are more successful than American-born blacks, their relative success does not get passed onto their children. Compared to the immigrant parents, their grown children work less, are impoverished more, obtain less education and are less-often married.
Why is this? Does the notorious systemic racism of America somehow target the children of black immigrants colonists while leaving the immigrant parents unscathed?
Maybe. But It’s hard to imagine the mechanism for such selective racism targeting.
It’s more likely that the children of black immigrants colonists assimilate into American black culture — a culture where the murder rate is seven times the white murder rate and the illegitimacy rate is 78%. The data suggest that’s a bad thing.

Although black immigrants colonists are more successful than American-born blacks, their relative success does not get passed onto their children.
Easily explained. The children of immigrants, (possibly having no foreign homeland point of reference) assisted by a sympathetic government, tend to assimilate into the local black culture.

Lack of knowledge regarding paternal origins and territorial conflict are also common among certain other primates. All encroaching males (not part of the immediate tribe) are seen as the enemy and in need elimination.

Everyone, regardless of race, are respected and free. There are no intentional barriers thrown up to impede their success and they are used to hard work and sacrifice.
There is no racism in this country.
There are Black Americans who are excellent business people. One who is an aquaintance who only had one restaurant a year ago now has 3 restaurants that he established during the pandemic while many were closed.

- Media which constantly told them that, even though their parents immigrated from Africa - their ancestors were slaves of the old south and they needed reparations.
[DW] The German army (Bundeswehr) is planning to bring back 65,000 cans of beer from Afghanistan.
According to a report from the German news magazine Der Spiegel, about 20,000 liters of beer, as well as 340 bottles of wine and Sekt (sparkling wine), and an unknown amount of shandy have to come back to Germany.
Commander Ansgar Meyer imposed a ban on German soldiers drinking alcohol during the last part of the withdrawal from the country. The report said it is because of the potential for attacks in the area. The German army was also not allowed to sell the alcohol to local troops for legal and religious reasons, according to Operations Command.
Germany's Bundeswehr, as well as all other NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... nations' armed forces, are expected to leave Afghanistan by September 11 this year. Germany provided the second-largest military contingent behind the United States. The Afghanistan mission has been the most expensive and largest deployment in the Bundeswehr's history.
German newspaper Bild said some equipment will be left behind after German troops leave their base in Mazar, about 300 kilometers (186 miles) north of Kabul.

On Friday afternoon, a fire broke out in Sharya Camp for Yezidy IDPs in Dohuk governorate and the tents that were affected by the fire were completely burnt.
While extinguishing the fire, four individuals, of which two were IDPs and two were civil defense forces, were slightly burnt, according to an eyewitness in the camp.
IDPs said that they did not manage to save their documents and children’s clothes from the fire.
So far, official authorities have not reveal the reasons that cause the fire, which lasted for about two hours before being extinguished.
Sharya Camp, which houses about 20,000 IDPs distributed in 4,000 tents, was established in 2015 months after an attack by the Islamic State (ISIS) on Sinjar District in 2014.
[MSN] Facebook announced Friday a two-year ban of former President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... from its platforms, including Instagram, until at least January 2023.
Facebook’s vice president of global affairs, Nick Clegg, said that Trump’s actions on its social media networks "constituted a severe violation of our rules which merit the highest penalty available under the new enforcement protocols."
The decision came after Facebook’s quasi-independent Oversight Board said last month that the social media giant was justified in removing Trump’s access from its platforms the day after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. Facebook was then directed to review the suspension.
The two-year extension of Trump’s suspension is effective from the date of the initial ban on Jan. 7.
The former president called the ban "an insult" in a statement Friday. "They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this censoring and silencing, and ultimately, we will win. Our Country can’t take this abuse anymore!" he said in a statement.

[PJMedia] In an exclusive story at RedState, Jen Van Laar reports that sources inside the intelligence community say a high-ranking defector from China has been working for months with the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). According to Van Laar’s confidential sources, that high-ranking defector claims to have knowledge of special weapons programs in China—that include bioweapons.
Adam Housley first reported via Twitter on Thursday that "the increased pressure on China in recent days is due to a defector with intimate knowledge" of the program. According to Housley, FBI director Christopher Wray "didn’t know right away because they wanted to make sure they got all they needed before telling him." because the CIA leaks like a sieve?
In fact, Wray was "ambushed" with the information, according to Van Laar’s sources, as was the CIA. "Sources say DIA leadership kept the defector within their Clandestine Services network to prevent Langley and the State Department from accessing the person, whose existence was kept from other agencies because DIA leadership believes there are Chinese spies or sources inside the FBI, CIA, and several other federal agencies," according to the report.

Because the CIA since Obama and Brennan is on the other side.
Interesting speculation from The Last Refuge: Interestingly, one of the incredibly astute Twitter researchers who focuses on China, “aka Ben“, previously reported on the family of Sun Lijun who defected to Australia in February of last year. Sun Lijun was the former Chinese Deputy Minister of Public Security who was sent to Wuhan to manage (aka cover-up) the SARS-CoV-2 breakout. His wife and children fled China during the height of the pandemic spread.
As Ben noted: after Sun Lijun’s family defected to Australia in February 2020, Sun Lijun was arrested by the Chinese Communist Party in April 2020 under the auspices of corruption charges; a familiar way of dealing with those who defy the communist regime. If the defector identified within the Red State reporting is accurate, the description would align with someone very close to Lijun (likely), if not Lijun himself (less likely).

Sources say this and sources say that. If the source is from our vaunted intel community, his or her credibility is just about nil. I think we get better intel from FOIA releases of Doctor Falsie's email.

[NYPOST] In the increasingly bitter race for the New York City Democratic mayoral nomination, one disturbing fact looms larger by the day:
While Andrew Yang ...Former 2020 Democratic presidential candidate. Unlike most of the other Dem 2020 candidates, he actually did things besides politix in his adult life, which made him political poison. He worked in startups and early-stage growth companies as a founder or executive from 2000 to 2009. After he founded Venture for America, the Obama administration selected him in 2012 as a Champion of Change and in 2015 as a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship. His signature campaign policy is what he calls the Freedom Dividend, a form of Universal Basic Income for every American over 18. Yang believes UBI is a necessary response to the rapid development of automation that is leading to workforce challenges. The other two central elements of Yang's platform are Medicare for All and Human-Centered Capitalism.... has absolutely no qualifications for the job, Kathryn Garcia, who’s risen in the polls in what’s become a three-way race with Yang and Eric Adams, has all the wrong qualifications.
A career bureaucrat who boasts of her accomplishments in various city positions — most notably, or ignominiously, seven years at the helm of the Department of Sanitation — Garcia compiled a track record of incompetence bordering on dereliction.
In fact, "Garbage in, garbage out" might best reflect her DOS tenure, during which the city’s streets and sidewalks turned filthier than ever. Yang alluded to it without using Garcia’s name at Wednesday night’s debate, but her finger- and footprints are all over it.
Garcia’s career history is full of embarrassments, from her fuzzy, blame-the-cops approach to crime (she’d take us "from a warrior culture to a guardian mindset") to paying mostly minority women at DOS half as much as mostly white men for similar work, as The Post reported.
Her loopy proposed solution to reducing traffic congestion is to add 250 miles of bike lanes to the existing 1,375 miles — which are, of course, in themselves a large reason for traffic congestion.

[NYPOST] The NYPD has released footage of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy in East Harlem. The man, who was last seen with a cast on his right hand, is being sought in connection to the fatal shooting of Amir James.
James was picking up food with his family when he was shot in the chest by a lone gunman at Lexington Avenue and East 123rd Street around 10:30 p.m Monday.
The teen was pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital.
By early Friday morning, it was still unclear if the teen was targeted or an innocent bystander, according to an NYPD spokesperson.
James’ grandmother, Rosemary West, told The Post in a Tuesday interview that she does not believe her grandson knew his killer.
West described her grandson, a student at Thurgood Marshall Academy, as a top student and a gifted athlete — particularly in football, basketball and kickball.

[Korrespondent] A top agency official was attacked outside his own home. Unidentified persons fired several shots and fled.
The deputy head of the National Agency of Ukraine for the Identification, Search and Management of Assets Received from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA) Volodymyr Pavlenko was shot near his own house. This was announced on Friday evening, June 4, by the press service of ARMA on Facebook .
It is noted that Pavlenko was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The incident took place in the morning of June 2, but it became known only now.
The attack took place near the house where Pavlenko lives.
"According to information from law enforcement agencies, unidentified persons fired several shots from firearms, as a result of which Pavlenko received moderate injuries. Now the official is in the hospital, his condition is stable, there is no threat to his life," the statement said.
ARMA noted that they hope for the fastest and most effective response from law enforcement agencies to identify, arrest and punish the perpetrators.
Earlier it was reported that ARMA had appointed a new manager of the arrested part of the Medvedchuk pipe.
The National Agency for the Identification, Search and Management of Assets Received from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA) stated that unknown persons on behalf of the leadership were in official communication with regional divisions. This was announced on Thursday, January 28, by the press service of ARMA.
"Recently, unidentified persons on behalf of the leadership have initiated official communication with the heads of the interregional territorial offices of ARMA. The attackers tried to provoke officials to discuss certain aspects of the Agency's activities," the message says.
On the basis of these facts, ARMA applied to law enforcement agencies with a statement about the commission of crimes.
As suggested in ARMA, the attackers could collect materials for their further use to discredit the Agency's management.
"The planned nature of the discrediting action is evidenced by its serial nature and its focus at the same time on a certain circle of people," the ARMA noted, stressing that it is not the first time that the National Agency has become the object of destructive actions of interested parties aimed at countering the initiatives and decisions of the department.
[Project Veritas] Heidi Swartz, Facebook VP, Deputy General Counsel, Employment Law and Investigations: "Project Veritas released a video last week alleging that they had uncovered a new effort to sensor vaccine concerns globally. It was based on leaked documents about a health integrity program that we have in place that combats vaccine hesitancy by taking a hard stance against vaccine information -- misinformation. This isn't a new effort. This is a program we've proudly spoken about publicly in our blog."
Swartz: "They [leakers] threatened our open culture, as Mark [Zuckerberg] said, they make it harder for us to achieve our goals. They generally encourage more leaks...I know some people here feel that there are good leaks and there are bad leaks, but they're all damaging. They're not the right way to bring about change, especially at a company like this."
Swartz: "When we find leakers, which we often do, we have zero tolerance. So that means we fire them...We're also continuing to investigate additional potential leakers, and we plan to take action there too. We're also working on continuing to ramp up our investigative techniques as our company grows."
Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO: "You know -- when people leak stuff, do we find them? I've been clear that we have a number of efforts to find people and we terminate people and pursue the recourse that we have when we identify them. In this [Project Veritas] case, we did find them."
Zuckerberg: "We also need to be very good at rooting out people who are leaking stuff. You know, I think over the last year there've been more leaks than I think all of us would have wanted, but we also find a lot of the folks and terminate them."
[ToloNews] Residents of Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... in the south of Afghanistan claim that many non-combatants were killed and maimed in Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s by Afghan forces in the Nahr-e-Siraj district in the province on Friday.
The residents said that the incident happened after an Afghan Army base fell to the Taliban ...Arabic for students... and local people flocked to the scene "for looting" and there were there when the airstrikes were conducted.
If you put your hand on a hot stove, who is to blame when you get burnt?
The base is located in Yakhchal village in Nahr-e-Saraj district along 601 Highway that connects Kabul with southern and southwestern provinces.
The Afghan Army's 215 Maiwand Corps in a statement confirmed that some civilians, who joined the Taliban to "loot" an army base, were killed and maimed in Afghan forces airstrikes in Nahr-e-Saraj district in Helmand on Friday morning.
Y’all chose the wrong side, guys.
The statement said 20 Taliban were also killed in the airstrikes but did not provide details on civilian deaths in the incident.
Taliban has claimed that said as many as 30 civilians have been killed in the airstrike.
[WoodRiverWeekly] Bellevue deputy marshal Nate Silvester is a Bellevue deputy marshal no more.
What started as a week of unpaid leave, according to Silvester, for what city officials and the Bellevue Marshal’s Office deemed inappropriate behavior while on duty has turned into full-on termination. Silvester is the local officer who has gone viral on social media for his takes on policing, one of the most recent being the racially charged video wherein he fictionally calls NBA star LeBron James to get advice on how to handle a violent assault involving two people who are black, one of whom is wielding a knife at the other.
A GoFundMe campaign was established after Silvester’s leave was made official, yielding well over $500,000. Silvester has said some of the funds will go to a first-responders charity.
What follows is a statement made by Bellevue mayor Ned Burns and obtained by "Wood River Weekly."
During the week of May 20th, while on shift Deputy Marshal Silvester violated several clearly established City of Bellevue and State of Idaho policing policies. After his previous policy violations Deputy Marshal Silvester was placed on probation and was on what is called a "last chance agreement" with his superior officers. Because of his continued policy violations, the Marshal has terminated Mr. Sylvester effective May 27th, 2021.
The policy violations have nothing to do with the tone or the tenor of his speech that he posts online. He was not terminated for the content of his speech; he was terminated for his failure to follow clearly laid out and well established policy.
The decision was solely made by the command structure within the Bellevue Marshal’s Office and was not influenced in any way by me or by the City Council. We were informed of the decision, and as in the previous incident, left the final decision making to the Marshal and Deputy Marshal. The City Council and I respect the way the Marshal runs her department, and we are supportive of the decision that was made in regards to consequences for not following policy.
We wish Mr. Silvester the best, and we ask for calm and understanding.
[Rudaw] This week, Iraqi Jews commemorated 80 years since the Farhud, a violent mostly peaceful pogrom marking the beginning of the end of one of the country’s oldest and often forgotten communities.
In 1941, while Jews in Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... faced the horrors of the Holocaust, antisemitism reared its head in Iraq. Jewish people had lived in the country for millennia and could be found living up and down the country, from Zakho, where the community were said to descend from one of the lost tribes of Israel, to the port city of Basra. Most lived in Baghdad, where they made up more than a third of the city's population.

[IsraelTimes] A blogger who posted videos of himself calling for the murder of prominent French Jews was sentenced to five years in prison by a court in La Belle France.
The sentence, for promoting terrorism and making death threats, is among the harshest in recent years in La Belle France over such offenses.
The tribunal of Cusset, a town near Vichy in central La Belle France, handed down its guilty verdict and sentence on Thursday to Ahmed Moualek, 53, who had posted death threats against Gilles William Golnadel and Alain Jakubowitz, two well-known Jewish lawyers, as well as journalist Elisabeth Levy, La Montagne reported.
Moualek is a former associate of Dieudonne M’bala M’bala and Alain Soral, Holocaust deniers who 10 years ago founded the now-defunct Anti-Zionist Party. Moualek was among the party’s founders.
On the 2019 anniversary of the 2015 murder of four Jews by a jihadist at the Hyper Cacher kosher supermarket in Gay Paree, Moualek posted a video addressed to "the dirty Jews" in which he said, "You know it would have pleased me no end if the Shoah existed but I’m just sorry you weren’t on the train."
[EpochTimes] Republican leaders in 25 states will terminate the $300 weekly federal pandemic unemployment boost before funding for the program expires in September.
The weekly boost to state unemployment benefits was part of the third Trump-era pandemic stimulus package. Even under Trump, some Republicans argued that the supplement, which was $600 per week at the time, would result in some people staying out of the workforce because they would earn more money by staying home.
The benefit was renewed under President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body.... with a lower $300 per week amount, but has come under scrutiny because of lukewarm economic indicators and business owners complaining about being unable to hire workers.
On June 1, Maryland became the 25th state to say it will terminate the benefits. All of the states involved will have terminated the payments between June 12 and July 13. Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan said that while the program gave "important temporary relief" during the pandemic, it was no longer needed, now that "vaccines and jobs ... are in good supply."
The 24 other states that are set to terminate the benefits offered similar explanations, arguing that the $300 weekly checks are causing people to turn down good jobs, leaving businesses struggling to maintain operations.
The Biden administration and Democrats argue that other troubles are keeping people out of the workforce, including a lack of child care, fear of infection, and low wages. The seven-day rolling average of new COVID-19 infections in the United States is the lowest point since the beginning of the pandemic. More than 41 percent of the population is fully vaccinated and tens of millions are assumed to have acquired immunity, although some may still be able to transmit the virus.
The theory behind ending the $300 boost will undergo a large-scale test as two dozens states terminate the benefit. Benefits expire June 12 in Alaska, Iowa, Mississippi, and Missouri, with the other 21 states falling off through July 10.
Unemployed workers may still be eligible for regular state unemployment benefits. But those vary widely. Unemployed people must take suitable jobs that are offered, White House officials have emphasized.
"Our view is that it’s going to take time for workers to regain confidence in the safety of the workplace, re-establish childcare, school, and commuting arrangements, and finish getting vaccinated," White House press secretary Jen Psaki ...a valley girl who woke up one morning and found she was spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of State under Obama... said on June 2.
The White House won’t try to stop states from cutting special unemployment benefits, she said last month.
Based on data from May 8 Department of Labor records, about 2.8 million people were collecting pandemic benefits in the 25 states terminating the program in the next few weeks.
Job postings are at a record high in the United States, while job growth in April was a disappointing 266,000. Employers in industries from manufacturing to hospitality say they’re desperately seeking more workers.
White House officials fear that rushing to kill programs too early, before mass vaccination is completed, could hurt working people and an economy still struggling to get back to health and millions of jobs short of where it was before the pandemic.
Here in GA I am seeing restaurant managers and hostess' waiting tables at many of our dining out haunts. 24 hr Big Box Stores with limited hours (7am to 11pm) and pallet lifts on the floor all day instead the usual night stocking hours. Too many Fast Food places around here ORDER ONLY no eat in. and more....
Here in GA min wage $5.15 per hour x 30 hrs per week earning $1854 quarter .
Can collect up to $ 177 per week in Unemployment for 26
weeks.
The extra $300 makes it $477 a week or $12,402 vs. the $4,602 they would collected for 26 weeks and had an incentive to find and get back to work.
[BureauOfLaborStatistics] Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 559,000 in May, and the unemployment rate declined by 0.3 percentage point to 5.8 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Notable job gains occurred in leisure and hospitality, in public and private education, and in health care and social assistance. some other tidbits:
The number of persons employed part time for economic reasons was essentially unchanged at 5.3 million in May but is 873,000 higher than in February 2020.
Among those not in the labor force who currently want a job, the number of persons marginally attached to the labor force, at 2.0 million, changed little in May but is up by 518,000 since February 2020.
In May, 16.6 percent of employed persons teleworked because of the coronavirus pandemic, down from 18.3 percent in the prior month.
Average hourly earnings for all employees on private nonfarm payrolls increased by 15 cents to $30.33 in May, following an increase of 21 cents in April. Average hourly earnings of private-sector production and nonsupervisory employees rose by 14 cents to $25.60 in May, following an increase of 19 cents in April. Unfortunately, the increase in hourly earnings has not kept up with inflation these past two months.

[Rusvesna] During the hostilities in Donbass, Ukrainian artillerymen fired with an accuracy of "plus or minus a kilometer," said the former Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Krivonos.
According to him, this was caused by the wear and tear of artillery barrels due to "sabotage" by the previous leadership of the Ukrainian General Staff.
“It was such a splendid sabotage, because when our shells hit the front plus or minus a kilometer, in most cases it was not the poor training of the gunners that was to blame. This was the reason - the worn-out channels of the trunks, ”he said during a roundtable in Lviv.
According to him, "over the course of two years, tens, hundreds, thousands of artillery shells have been fired daily into the void."
As reported on the website of the head of state, on December 29, Zelensky signed the relevant decree No. 604/2020.
General Krivonos headed a special forces group and was the commander of the 8th Khmelnytsky special forces regiment. He participated in many international exercises.

The FBI has asked USA Today for the IP addresses and phone numbers of everyone who read one of its articles during a 35-minute period in February as part of an ongoing child porn probe, in what the publisher is calling a violation of the First Amendment.
On February 2, FBI agents Daniel Alfin and Laura Schwartzenberger were killed and three others were wounded when 55-year-old David Huber started shooting as they approached his apartment in Fort Lauderdale shortly after 6am.
He was suspected of possessing child porn, but the FBI has never revealed why. After killing the agents, he took his own life.

While I can see the lazy low hanging fruit ITSEC thought process used behind the request. US LAW is clear on such broad 1984 style data hunts by the government. It is a felony level criminal violation of civil rights and is unacceptable. Warrant-less searches and this type of "selective data request" are a big step over the acceptable investigative legal line.
Besides the FBI has a great IT Forensics / Data Collection Team and should have all they need from the shooters computers.
NOTE:
Currently, a Government skunk works, with just a few unnoticed $1000 could set up a 3rd party (front shell company) and purchase the collected data. All without the exposure and headlines.
Such Internet Privacy and civil rights abuses are continuing to grow. An will until our elected officials enact a real Internet Use and Privacy Act. A Internet Bill Of Rights that protects the users and requires the criminal and civil punishment of ANY violators. Not the watered down version that the big campaign donor Social-Media Data Mining companies wanted and got.

[NYPOST] Dr. Anthony Fauci ...American epidemiologist with rotating opinions, warnings about the unlikely, and reassurances that if you wear a mask you won't get COVID, as long as you're wearing multiple masks, assuming it's necessary to wear a mask in the first place... has reportedly called on China to release the medical records of nine people who fell sick with COVID-like illness — saying they might provide vital clues into whether the deadly virus first emerged as the result of a lab leak in Wuhan.
The records concern three researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology who reportedly fell ill in November 2019, and six miners who became sick after entering a bat cave in 2012, according to the Financial Times.
Scientists from the institute later visited the cave to take samples from the bats. Three of the miners died.
"I would like to see the medical records of the three people who are reported to have got sick in 2019. Did they really get sick, and if so, what did they get sick with?" Fauci told the Financial Times on Thursday about some in the group.
[IsraelTimes] Unnamed sources in Paleostinian terror group tell Lebanese media it will consider options for escalation if Israel doesn’t approve the entry of tens of millions of dollars "Just give us your electronic banking information, ID info, and home address, and we'll direct deposit it to you"
If Israel does not allow the passage of Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... i funds to the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. Strip, Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, will escalate the situation on the border with Israel, sources in the terror group told Lebanese media on Friday.
With Israel’s approval, Qatar has in recent years distributed hundreds of millions of dollars in cash to enable Gaza’s Hamas rulers to pay for fuel for the Strip’s power plant, pay civil servants, and provide aid to tens of thousands of impoverished families.
Hamas sources told the Lebanese Al Akhbar newspaper that the organization would wait until the end of next week for the money to enter, "and if this does not happen it will take an important decision regarding the mutual ceasefire" that took effect two weeks ago, after 11 days of fighting with Israel.
A senior Hamas official in January said Qatar would be providing $30 million every month, meant for poor families in the Gaza Strip.
Qatar is a key backer of Hamas and has invested some $1.4 billion in the coastal enclave since 2012, Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani said at a financial conference in St. Petersburg, Russia on Friday.
Al-Thani rejected frequent accusations that the Qatari money goes to the terror organizations in Gaza and argued that Israel knows how the money is transferred, the Ynet news site reported.
Israel figures that since they’re going to destroy Gaza’s war infrastructure in the inevitable next round of fighting, it’ll do no serious harm to let Qatar swan around with their moneybags in the meantime, fondly imagining they’ve pulled the wool over Zionist eyes.
According to the Lebanese report, the group threatened to "use pressure in the border area," and may also resort to options that could "renew the widescale confrontation," without elaborating further.
Israel and Hamas concluded 11 days of fighting last month during which the terror group launched some 4,300 rockets at Israeli cities and towns, and Israel launched hundreds of retaliatory Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry, 253 Paleostinians were killed during the fighting,
... a number that creeps up again each time they dig out another destroyed tunnel...
including 66 children. Paleostinian terror groups in Gaza have said 80 of the total casualties were combatants, while Israel says the true figure is much higher.
...two hundred turbans plus 25 big turbans that Israel saw killed, plus a dozen or so the Gazans have dug up since, which doesn’t leave many real civilians among the acknowledged dead...
Thirteen people in Israel, including a 5-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, were killed. Israel says dozens of the Gaza fatalities were caused by Hamas rockets that fell short and landed inside the Strip.
As I recall, about 10% of those shot off didn’t clear the fence, but I may have misremembered..
Friday’s threats from unnamed officials in the terror group were not the first since the ceasefire began.
A leader of the terror group in Gaza threatened last Wednesday to resume rocket attacks if Israel "violates" the al-Aqsa Mosque on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, while a front man for Hamas’s armed wing told a crowd of supporters last week that it will respond to any Israeli escalation in kind, after some Israeli officials called for a harsher response to the terror group, including the renewal of liquidations of Hamas leaders.
This story has been making the rounds, mostly in high indignation. But read to the end to see the rest of the story, which ties into recent discussions here at Rantburg..
[IsraelTimes] A high school football coach in Ohio and seven of his staff have been suspended for punishing a Hebrew Israelite student-athlete by forcing him to eat a pepperoni pizza in violation of his religious commitment to keep a kosher diet, according to a report from Cleveland, kept in touch with the world by Obamaphone, ...was ruled by a Democrat machine from 1942 through 1971. After the river caught fire during the administration of Carl Stokes they tried a Republican, then went back to being Democrats when the party hacked up Dennis Kucinich ... 19 News.
The 17-year-old student at McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio, was being disciplined for missing a weight lifting session on May 20, said Edward L. Gilbert, an attorney for the boy’s family.
Four days after missing practice, Coach Wattley Marcus and other coaching staff presented him with a pizza topped with pepperoni, chosen because it includes pork.
"They order him to go into the gym. He sits in a chair," Gilbert told Cleveland 19 News. "There is a pizza box on the floor. He picks up the pizza — they tell him he has to, as punishment, eat that whole pizza."
The student’s religous identity and his avoidance of pork were known to Coach Wattley Marcus and other coaching staff, according to Gilbert.
"I mean it just crosses a line on every level, it’s just wrong," Gilbert said.
Canton City School District released a statement saying it was investigating the incident and would announce its findings soon.
"The incident calls into question whether appropriate team management, discipline, and player accountability infrastructures are in place," the statement says.
Correction (June 4): After this story ran, The New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... revealed that the student is a Hebrew Israelite, not Jewish.

[IsraelTimes] Rep. Ted Deutch, a Jewish Democratic congressman from Florida, blamed anti-Israel congresspeople in his own party for the recent spike in antisemitism.
Speaking at a virtual event with fellow politicians on Thursday that addressed recent antisemitism in Florida, Deutch called out "people in the United States who hear that the entire state of Israel is some unacceptable creation," according to Jewish Insider. He also referenced Democrats who oppose Israel or accuse it of "apartheid," such as Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Boom Boom Ocasio-Cortez Dem Congressgirl from da Bronx in Noo Yawk and leader of the Mean Girl Caucus in Congress. One of the Great Minds of the 21st Century, she is known as much for her innaleck as for her dance moves. She is all in favor of socialism, even though she's fuzzy on the details. "When we have colleagues whose position is ’Paleostine from the river to the sea,’ which includes no place for a Jewish state, and when our colleagues... wrongly and falsely describe Israel as an apartheid state, there is a context for all of this," Deutch said, according to Jewish Insider.
Deutch added, "Attacks like that against Jews have led to antisemitism and expulsion, and violence around the world."
Rep. Lois Frankel, a Jewish Democrat who serves a district neighboring Deutch’s, said at the same event that she preferred to "attack antisemitism, not necessarily the person," because "somehow when you attack people who are saying terrible things, you help them raise a lot of money," Jewish Insider reported.
The event took place on the same night as an in-person event at the Florida Holocaust Museum in Tampa Bay, protesting a recent vandalism attack against the museum. Last week, the museum was graffitied with swastikas and the message "The Jews are guilty."
At the event, the museum’s executive director, Elizabeth Gelman, read a letter to the museum from President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity.... condemning the vandalism.
"As the president has said, the recent surge in antisemitic attacks is despicable, and it must end immediately," the letter said. "The Biden-Harris Administration is working every day to stop these attacks and to ensure that everyone is safe."

Can we get reparations for the last half-century's trillions in wasted federal funds transfers to blacks + damages due to blacks' rioting + $$ spent on incarcerating violent black criminals etc?
On Thursday, Libyan National Army (LNA) forces arrested three commanders belonging to the Al-Qaeda terrorist organization, including a Mauritanian national, in an operation in Tarout Al-Shati, 30km from Brak Al-Shati in southern Libya.
The sources revealed that the Mauritanian terrorist is the former aide to Abdel-Moneim Al-Hasnawi, known as “Abu Talha”, leader of Al-Qaeda in Libya, who was killed in 2019.
The Tariq bin Ziyad Brigade announced that it has intensified its desert patrols to combat smuggling, and to secure the border regions, per orders from the district commander, Major General Balqasam Laba’gm
In May, LNA Spokesman, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari called for the dissolution of militias in the country, stressing that they will continue to fight “terrorists.”
“The LNA is keen about the stability of Libya,” Al-Mismari said. “Libya can only be strong with a strong army, and this is apparent in the city of Benghazi because of the presence of a police force protected by the LNA. The security and executive services work side by side there,” he added.
[ToloNews] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Friday reacted to recent remarks by Pak officials, including Pakistain's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Wormtongue Qureshi ...a Pak political shape-changer. He is undistinguished except for his habit of periodically needing to have his lips reattached... , saying that the world knows who has really continued the war in Afghanistan to keep its pace and that blaming will not prove helpful at this critical juncture.
Qureshi in a virtual speech to the European parliament this week said that there are people within Afghanistan who want to disrupt the grinding of the peace processor in the country.
Again in his meeting with Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon this week in Islamabad, Qureshi repeated his allegation, stating that there are people inside the country who try to disrupt peace.
"(There are people) inside and outside Afghanistan who do not want peace and security. We should be vigilant of such spoilers," said Qureshi.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the spoilers of peace are those who have rejected the Afghan people and the international community’s call by continuing violence.
Blaming will not prove constructive at this sensitive juncture and peace in Afghanistan that is in favor of countries in the region, especially Pakistain, cannot be ensured by issuing statements and remarks, the ministry said.
The Afghan people and the international community seek practical steps by Pakistain for starting meaningful peace negotiations, the foreign ministry said.
"The recent statement by Pakistain’s foreign minister is a clear act of interference in Afghanistan’s internal affairs," said Nematullah Karyab, an MP.
"Pakistain has always pursued a disruptive policy towards peace in Afghanistan," said Aziz Mairaj, a former Afghan diplomat.
"Their recent statements are a reaction to the recent speech by the president in which he asked Pakistain to choose one path or option," said freelance journalist Sami Yousufzai.
This comes a day after Foreign ministers from Afghanistan, Pakistain and China an online trilateral meeting on peace in Afghanistan, during which the Chinese foreign minister said that the Afghan grinding of the peace processor has entered into a crucial phase.
Wang Yi said that the withdrawal of US foreign forces from Afghanistan will complicate the situation in Afghanistan.
The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the meeting as an important step towards strengthening peace in Afghanistan.
