-Signs, Portents, and the Weather-
The Panic Culture
[ZMan] Now that the Covid panic is finally winding down, it is a good time to look at how it quickly became a religion for many people. It is fair to assume that most people looked at Covid as a blend of public health and public policy. They do not know much about either topic, so they trusted what they were told. Others, however, embraced Covid and the rules around it like a new religion. The rituals and statistics quickly became the central point around which they organized their lives.

One of the first signs of this happening were the personal testimonials. By the late spring of last year, the Covidian had stories to tell. "I know of four people who have died from Covid this month" was a popular one. Despite the statistical improbability, millions were telling us about their personal war with Covid. The victims became younger as the age realty became apparent. Finally at the end, we are getting stories about the unvaccinated dying despite being healthy.

The joiner always personalizes her latest fetish. On the one hand, it lets her be the star of the story. We saw this after 9/11, where millions of people swore they knew someone in the towers. It is also a personal testimony to show how the believer has now given herself over to the faith. It is a show of piety. Of course, it also insulates the believer from having to explain herself. It is an appeal to authority in which her alleged suffering makes her the unquestionable authority.

Then there is the suffering that comes with every civic religion. Sacrifice is an important part of all religions. Membership is not supposed to be easy as the value of anything easily attained is always low. In the case of Covid, the goofy mask wearing, standing six feet apart and other nonsense was quickly and mindlessly embraced. It was a public sacrament, like taking communion. Of course, this gave the Covidian a chance to lecture the rest of us about the need to respect their piety.

* SNIP *

Every religion has its apostles, and this was no different. The army of pseudo-intellectual poseurs that spring up in the media are always there to add authority to the latest narratives. All of a sudden, anyone with a connection to medicine or immunology was preaching from a digital street corner. The fact that none of them knew a thing about this disease or public policy did not matter. All that mattered is they were there telling us to repent or fear the wrath of Covid.

Probably the most obnoxious aspect of the civic religion is the martyrs. Because democracy turns deadbeats into civil servants and civil servants into priests, every politician quickly became a martyr to the cause. Every state with draconian Covid laws has a governor who publicly nailed herself to the cross. You see, they really hate passing these crazy laws, but they are suffering for all of us in this twilight struggle against the great threat to humanity known as Covid.

This is My Shocked Face: KAGAN Writes 9-0 Supreme Court Opinion Rejecting Liz Warren's Subversion of Immigration Law
[PJMedia] On Monday, the Supreme Court unanimously rejected an illegal immigrant’s attempt to twist immigration law and create a loophole that would allow thousands of illegal immigrants to become lawful permanent residents. Democratic senators and attorneys general advocated for this loophole, but a liberal justice wrote the opinion for a unanimous Court.

"Petitioner Jose Santos Sanchez entered this country unlawfully from El Salvador. Years later, because of unsafe living conditions in that country, the Government granted him Temporary Protected Status (TPS), entitling him to stay and work in the United States for as long as those conditions persist. Sanchez now wishes to become a lawful permanent resident (LPR) of the United States. The question here is whether the conferral of TPS enables him to obtain LPR status despite his unlawful entry. We hold that it does not," Associate Justice Elena Kagan, an Obama appointee, wrote in the opinion.

In Sanchez v. Mayorkas, Kagan noted that U.S. immigration law, "applied according to its plain terms, prevents Sanchez from becoming an LPR. There is no dispute that Sanchez ’entered the United States in the late 1990s unlawfully, without inspection.'"

Yet Democrats and immigration activists twist the law to argue that if an illegal immigrant obtains temporary protected status due to violence or bad conditions in his or her home country, he or she can be considered "admitted" for the purposes of obtaining LPR status. While TPS does protect illegal immigrants from removal and authorizes them to work in the U.S. as long as the TPS designation lasts, the Court rightly ruled that this provision does not erase a person’s unlawful entry into the U.S. for permanent residency status.

Kagan’s conclusion is blunt: U.S. law "generally requires a lawful admission before a person can obtain LPR status. Sanchez was not lawfully admitted, and his TPS does not alter that fact. He therefore cannot become a permanent resident of this country."

This decision will come as a blow to many Democrats. Sens. Mazi Hirono (D-Hawaii), Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Ed Markey (D-Mass.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) joined Reps. Diana DeGette (D-Colo.), Adriano Espaillat (D-N.Y.), Darren Soto (D-Fla.), and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) in supporting Sanchez’s claim. Democrat attorneys general for Washington, D.C., Massachusetts, California, and 17 other states also backed the illegal immigration loophole.

Kagan’s opinion represents a blunt refutation of this sleight-of-hand attempt to undermine immigration law. Jonathan Turley has suggested that the Court’s recent string of unanimous decisions like this one may be a subtle message to Democrats, warning them against packing the Supreme Court. While Turley has a point, the Supreme Court often hands down unanimous decisions — yet these decisions do not often gain the same coverage as 5-4 rulings on controversial issues.

Many immigration advocates will lament the fact that many of the 400,000 people with temporary protected status are illegal immigrants and that these people will not be able to become permanent residents. Yet blatant violations of immigration law do not disappear when Congress grants illegal immigrants a temporary status due to horrible conditions in their home countries.

The Court made the right decision in this case.

Then I saw comment #7, and got a laugh out of it.

7 Reasons Why Quitting Facebook Now Is Good for Your Future
[Lifehack] For the past 100 years or so, there have been huge improvements in communication. From letters to phone calls to text messages to video calls to social networks. Following all these improvements, one of the biggest inventions of the 21st century was founded in 2004[1], and it started to spread like wildfire, first in the US and then around the world. Now, quitting Facebook has become nearly unheard of.

There are more than 1 billion monthly active Facebook users. Although initially it aimed to bring all people together for the sake of connecting, the effects of Facebook on masses became a huge debate after it gained so much popularity, with some even suggesting you deactivate your account.

The advantages of social media and its ability to connect us to people around the world are well known. Now, it’s time to dive into the ways Facebook affects your productivity and why you should ultimately consider quitting Facebook.

The Army's Legendary Little Bird Might Be Flying Away for Good
[Popular Mechanics] The U.S. Army’s elite fleet of A/MH-6 "Little Bird" special operations helicopters might give way to civilian choppers in the coming years.

The Army could swap the Little Birds, which the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment has used for nearly 40 years, for the winner of a new armed reconnaissance helicopter competition. The catch? Just one of the two competing helicopters can actually carry troops—a key requirement for the Little Bird’s replacement.

In 1981, following the failure of the mission to free the U.S. hostages in Tehran, the U.S. Army founded Task Force 160, an elite helicopter unit designed to support special forces ground units. The unit received its first A/MH-6 helicopters in 1983; since then, the "Little Birds" have served in the aviation unit continuously. The small and nimble helicopters fly low to mask their appearance and avoid enemy fire.

#8  So the answer is nope. US SOCOM has contracted for block 3 of the MELB. Nothing secret here. The composite blades are in production, the performance of the blades are so strong, that new airframes were ordered and being delivered. The new avionics package is in development, all the money is appropriated by congress and the contracts are all in the delivery phase. The blades and airframe are Boeing and the avionics are Rockwell. All programs are on schedule or ahead.
Now to the new recon aircraft. Lockeed would love to get that coveted slot in our arsenal. But the new aircraft will be way too big. There is a reason for the little bird, otherwise it would all be blackhawks and 47s in the 160th. BTW, the new recon aircraft is as long as a 47. Wont work...

Hamas Chief Denies Israel Destroyed Tunnel Network, Says Next War Will ‘Reshape' Mideast
[Breitbart] Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar over the weekend said his terror group had only shown half its strength during the recent 11-day war with Israel, but still claimed to turn Tel Aviv "into a rag."
Talking big now, but you were on your knees like Kamala Harris before the Hudna.
Sinwar also denied the Israeli military’s claim a significant chunk of the Hamas’ enormous subterranean tunnel network was destroyed.

"We showed only half our strength. We managed to launch 130 rockets on Tel Aviv in one barrage and we only launched our old rockets in the last campaign," Sinwar said. "We shook Tel Aviv — there are a lot of things hidden from the public."

Sinwar also addressed the recent Trump administration-brokered normalization agreements signed between Israel and Arab countries. "Arab leaders made Tel Aviv the direction of their prayers. We turned it into a rag," he said.

More than 4,000 terror rockets were launched at Israel from the Hamas-ruling Gaza Strip over a week and a half although most of them were directed at southern Israeli towns. The lion’s share of rockets targeting Tel Aviv and the surrounding areas were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system.

Having painted a BIG X on his back for the Mossad. The soon to be EX Hamas chief, Yahya Sinwar went on to admitted to his groups Terrorist actions. Like launching weapons and attacks from schools, apartment buildings, News Group locations, religious/holy locations and violations of the numerous Mid-East Peace agreements.

WHAT IS A ROCKET? It seems any airborne explosive is now a "rocket" for the media seeking headlines. So I have to wonder how many were just common military Mortar Shells vs. the $825 cheap Qassam types.

In other News the Harris/Biden Administration State Department has committed $150 million to rebuilding their self destroyed villages and weapon stockpiles.

WONDERING OUTLOUD
Using the typical rule of thumb for middle-foreign funds.A ##% will go to various foreign political Leaders, ##% to various militant groups, the people will get a smaller ##%. An about 5% will somehow find its way back to DC related pockets via shells and "donors".

STRANGELY

Biden's democratic infestation of conservative suburbia via zoning laws
[Washington Examiner] A house with a white picket fence and a big backyard might have been a staple of the American dream once upon a time, but if the Biden administration gets its way, the dream could soon be out of reach for millions of people.

As part of his $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan, the Biden administration is pushing local governments to allow apartment buildings in neighborhoods that are restricted to single-family homes. The administration claims it's a way to ease a national affordable housing shortage and combat racial injustice in the housing market.

Current zoning laws that favor single-family homes, known as exclusionary zoning, have disproportionately hurt low-income people who can't afford to move to the suburbs, the administration said. Their only choice is living in crowded apartment buildings. Biden's proposal would incentivize local governments to get rid of exclusionary zoning by awarding grants and tax credits to cities that change their zoning regulations.

While the proposal has had some bipartisan support on Capitol Hill, not everyone is on board.

Critics claim the federal government's plan would change the landscape of towns and cities across the country and torpedo the American dream.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Two Hamas Gaza Terrorists Blow Themselves Up Dismantling Unexploded Israeli Ordnance
We had the announcement a few days ago, now we have the details.
[LI] According to the ’Palestine Information Center’ two Hamas ’resistance fighters’ were killed when dismantling unexploded Israeli ordnance from the recent fighting:

Interior ministry spokesman Iyad al-Buzom said that two Palestinian resistance fighters were killed on Wednesday when an explosion occurred inside a military site in the central Gaza Strip.

In a press release, Buzom explained that blast happened during the dismantling of Israeli unexploded ordnance.

For its part, al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said that two of its fighters died as they were working on dismantling a bomb remnant from the last Israeli aggression against Gaza.

The Brigades mourned its fighters, Ahmed Abu Hasira and Osamah Janina, and said they died after a blessed life full of struggle and sacrifices, asking Allah Almighty to accept them as martyrs, bestow His mercy upon them and make His Paradise their eternal dwelling.

Israeli media identify them as military engineers working on the explosives at a Hamas military base:

Two people were killed after trying to defuse an unexploded IDF ordnance at a military base in Gaza, Israeli media reported.

Ynet reports that the two killed were engineering members of Hamas’ military wing, who attempted to defuse the armament within the confines of the Hamas base.

They almost certainly were trying to salvage the explosive for future use, as common Hamas practice as the L.A. Times reported recently:

In a September documentary aired by the satellite news network Al Jazeera, rare footage showed Hamas militants reassembling Iranian rockets with ranges of up to 50 miles and warheads packed with 385 pounds of explosives. Hamas militants opened unexploded Israeli missiles from previous strikes to extract explosive materials. They even salvaged old water pipes to repurpose as missile bodies.

Hamas’ al-Qassam Brigade posted their photos:

Project Eldest Son (also known as “Italian Green” or “Pole Bean”) was a program of covert operations conducted by the United States' Studies and Observation Group (SOG) during the Vietnam War. The project focused on placement of exploding cartridges into supplies used by communist combat forces in southeast Asia. United States technicians assembled 11,565 7.62×39mm cartridges for AK-47 rifles, 556 12.7×108mm heavy machine gun cartridges, and 1,968 82mm Type 67 mortar shells to detonate in the weapon when firing was attempted.[1] Project Eldest Son is an example of unconventional warfare. The missions under this program were implemented successfully in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.[2]

Kamala Harris Greeted In Guatemala With ‘Go Home' and ‘Trump Won' Messages
[Floridian] Vice President Kamala Harris’ much anticipated "foreign policy" trip to Guatemala to meet with leaders there about what can be done to stem the influx of illegal immigrants that are crossing into the U.S. from that country, got off to a bad start with Air Force 2 having to turn around because of "technical issue" and was then being greeted by pro-Trump, anti-Biden Guatemalan protestors.

"It is a technical issue. There are no major safety concerns," said Symone Sanders, spokeswoman for VP Harris.

But after boarding a new plane and taking the 4 1/2 hour flight to Guatemala, protestors were at the Guatemalan Air Force base waiting for the vice president with open arms and signs. Big signs.

One sign simply stated, "Kamala, TRUMP WON," another told the vice president that "Guatemala as pro-life," and another want to her to "go home."

Afghanistan
Eleven Killed as Roadside Bomb Hits Afghan Bus
[AnNahar] At least 11 civilians including four women and three children were killed when a roadside kaboom struck a bus in Afghanistan, officials said Sunday, in the latest attack targeting passenger vehicles in the violence-wracked country.

The attack occurred on Saturday evening in the western province of Badghis, raising fears of fresh violence in the months ahead as the US military continues to pull out its last remaining troops from the country.

No group has grabbed credit for the blast but Badghis governor Hessamuddin Shams accused the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
of planting the bomb.

Another official from the province, Khodadad Tayeb, confirmed the toll and said that the bus fell into a valley after it was hit by the bomb.

Saturday's attack came after a series of blasts targeted passenger buses in Kabul this week.

claimed two back-to-back attacks on buses in Kabul.

Violence has soared in recent weeks as government forces and the Taliban clash in near-daily battles across the rugged countryside, with the forces of Evil appearing to focus on capturing new territory and battering checkpoints and bases near Kabul.

The Taliban said on Saturday that they have "captured the district of Deh Yak" in the province of Ghazni, about 150 kilometres south of Kabul.

The authorities said they had only "relocated" their forces from the area.

Ghazni is strategically located on the main road from Kabul to Kandahar, the former bastion of the Taliban in the south. The province sees regular fighting between the two warring sides.

In 2018, the Taliban briefly seized the quiet provincial capital Ghazni, which has the same name as the province, in an all-out attack that left several government buildings torched and destroyed.

Malayali Christian who embraced Islam killed in Libya says Islamic State
[OneIndia] The Indian intelligence agencies are verifying claims that an engineer from Kerala who joined the Islamic State

They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. had died in Libya.

In an ISIS document titled Know your Martyrs, it is claimed that Abu Bakr al-Hindi, a Christian by birth had embraced Islam while working in the Gulf. The document further claimed that he is the first 'Istishhadi' from India to be killed in Libya. 'Istishhadi' is a jacket wallah or martyr killed in an attack.

While there is no mention of the ISIS operative's original name, it is learnt that he was born to a rich Christian family which has many engineers. The ISIS claimed that he was working in Bengaluru before leaving for the Gulf. In Gulf he was in a completely Moslem environment for the first time. The outfit also claimed that he was introduced to Islam through a pamphlet handed to him at a super market. It further claimed that he was completely shocked to know that Moslems believed in Jesus. Following this he sought to learn more about Islam, the document also added.

He was able to fly Into Libya easily as his passport had a Christian name on it. He was radicalised by the speeches of Anwar-Awlaki, following which he decided to join the ISIS. As his contract had expired, he was to come back to India. The ISIS however told him to go to Libya.

The development is an interesting one as it is for the first time that such an incident involving an Indian has been reported from Libya. Most Indians who have joined the ISIS have either gone to Syria or Afghanistan. The maximum number of Indians who have joined the ISIS are from Kerala. Afghanistan alone has more than 20 ISIS operatives from Kerala.

Officials whom OneIndia spoke with say that this is a new development. The ISIS had launched it Libya operations in 2014. While many Indians were directed to fight in Syria and Afghanistan, the movement into Libya is a relatively new one. We are verifying the antecedents of the person and also the claim made by the ISIS regarding this engineer from Kerala, officials also pointed out.

ISIS militants killed in joint operation between Iraqi, Kurdish forces: Kurdistan Region VP

(ISIS) remnants in disputed territories on Sunday.

A statement from the Kurdistan Region Vice President Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa’s office said on Sunday morning a joint air and land operation between the commando brigades of 70 unit forces (controlled by the Patriot Union of Kurdistan) and Iraqi counter-terrorism forces, with support from coalition forces, attacked ISIS hideouts in the villages of Palkana and Qorichai between the districts of Kifri and Khurmatu.

The operation was under the supervision of the Kurdistan Region’s VP.

"I believe if we continue like today, we will completely defeat ISIS in those areas," Sheikh Jaafar told Rudaw's Sangar Abdulrahman on Sunday. "Peshmerga forces are completely ready to cooperate with Iraqi forces wherever there are ISIS bad boys," he added.

He also said Iraqi helicopters played a great role during the operation on Sunday.

The statement reported an undisclosed amount of ISIS members were killed and three cars were targeted, adding the operation’s aim is to completely wipe out ISIS in the area.

Iraqi Security Media Cell said the operation was launched at 5 in the morning and was preceded by five Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s from F16 fighter jets.

Brig. Gen. Jamal Warani of the Peshmerga forces 144 brigade told Rudaw the operation is ongoing.

"We have found 13 ISIS tunnels so far that they used to hide themselves and their equipment," Warani told Rudaw’s Hemin Baban, adding Iraqi and Peshmerga forces are carrying out the operation on land and are supported by Italian jets in the sky.

ISIS forces of Evil have exploited a security vacuum in territory disputed between Erbil and Baghdad, including Kirkuk,
... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time...
Nineveh, Diyala and Salahaddin — where sleeper cells have been able to thrive and launch attacks on both military forces and civilians.

After deadly attacks on Iraqi and Peshmerga forces this spring, Erbil and Baghdad agreed in May to coordinate on security in these areas. A Joint Cooperation Centre was established in Diyala province where Peshmerga officers began working with Iraqi forces at Kirkuk’s K1 military base.

Another two centers were established in Makhmour and Nineveh province.

The US Department of Defense has requested $522 million from the 2022 budget for the fight against ISIS in both countries, the defense secretary said, with funds to be used to train and equip those forces that are allied to the US, including Syrian Kurdish forces.

The Pentagon's requested budget for 2022 is an increase of around $10 billion from 2021. However,
those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things...
the amount committed to battling ISIS has fallen by $188 million from the previous year, despite warnings from commanders and politicians in both Syria and Iraq that the group remains an active threat.

Study: Puppies are 'biologically prepared' to get along with humans
[Just The News] Researchers at the University of Arizona this week announced findings that puppies appear to be hardwired from birth to mesh with human beings—further evidence of the millenia-long bond between canines and humans.

The study, announced by researchers at the University of Arizona, stated that dog social skills "may be present shortly after birth rather than learned." Researchers also reportedly determined that genetics might explain "why some dogs perform better than others on social tasks such as following pointing gestures."

"There was evidence that these sorts of social skills were present in adulthood, but here we find evidence that puppies — sort of like humans — are biologically prepared to interact in these social ways," said Emily Bray, a lead author of the study and a postdoctoral research associate at the university.

Dogs are believed to have been domesticated thousands of years ago from a now-extinct line of wolves. There are estimated to be several hundred distinct breeds of dog throughout the world.

German church officials face charges for helping refugees
[DW] The number of legal cases against members of the Catholic Church is on the rise, as the German government takes a harder stance against asylum seekers taking refuge in churches.

Churches prevented 498 deportations in the first quarter of 2018, but in 2019 authorities rejected almost all church asylum cases. The nuns and priests point to article 4 of the German constitution, which guarantees the freedom of faith and conscience.
Juliana Seelmann, a nun from the Franciscan nunnery at the Oberzell monastery in southern Germany, was found guilty this week of aiding the unauthorized residence in Germany of two Nigerian women. She was fined several hundred euros.

She had aided two women from Nigeria who said they were trying to escape forced prostitution in Italia, where they had first fled to. After German officials sent them back to Italia, where forced prostitution again awaited them, they were able to find their way into the church's protection, under a practice often referred to in Germany as "church asylum."

Death toll rises to 88 in attack in northwest Nigeria: Police
[AlAhram] Police in northwest Nigeria's Kebbi state told AFP Sunday that the corpse count from an attack by a gang of cattle thieves on seven villages Thursday had risen to 88.

The region has struggled with decades-long communal festivities over resources but more recently some groups have become more violent mostly peaceful, looting, killing and kidnapping for ransom.

"Initially 66 bodies were recovered but 22 more have been found," Kebbi state police front man Nafiu Abubakar said, adding that the search for more bodies was ongoing.

Dozens of assailants on cycle of violences attacked seven neighbouring villages in Danko-Wasagu district on Thursday, Abubakar said.

The button men targeted the villages of Koro, Kimpi, Gaya, Dimi, Zutu, Rafin Gora and Iguenge, he said.

Many people were still unaccounted for Sunday after fleeing the attacks.

"The search is still going on and more bodies could be found. So, the toll is not conclusive yet," said Abubakar.

Policemen were deployed to the area over the weekend to forestall further attacks, he said.

The assailants were believed to have launched the attacks from neighbouring Zamfara or Niger states where criminals are known to maintain camps.

In April, nine coppers were killed in the area in a shootout with button men who invaded a village in nearby Sakaba district to steal livestock, Abubakar told AFP at the time.

SECURITY FORCES STRETCHED THIN
Northwest and central Nigeria are a hub of criminal gangs known locally as bandidos, who raid villages, harass residents and burn down homes.

The gangs maintain camps in Rugu forest which straddles Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna and Niger states.

Nigeria's security forces, who are also battling a more than decade-long jihadist insurgency in the northeast of the country, are being stretched thin.

Gangs in the northwest have recently stepped up attacks on schools, kidnapping hundreds of students to squeeze ransoms from authorities and parents.

More than 700 children and students have already been kidnapped by button men for ransom since December, often from schools in remote areas, where pupils live in dormitories with little security protection.

State authorities in Niger state said they were negotiating with button men who seized 136 children from an Islamic seminary last weekend.

The attackers released 11 of the pupils who were "too small and couldn't walk" very far, the authorities previously said.

Nearly 700,000 people have been internally displaced in northwest and north central Nigeria in February, according to the UN's migration agency IOM, as a result of violence.

In Zamfara, Doctors without Borders (MSF) said it was struggling to respond to growing needs.

Between January and April, MSF said it treated 10,300 children in Zamfara for severe acute malnutrition, measles, malaria and other conditions.

"This is 54 percent higher than in the same period last year," said an MSF doctor, Godwin Emudanohwo.

"People here need food, safe water and vaccinations now," said Emudanohwo in a statement.

"What is happening here is a humanitarian emergency that needs urgent attention and a fast and proper response," said Froukje Pelsma, MSF head of mission in Nigeria.

Three people died in an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
near the camp, home to more than 12,000 Kurdish refugees who fled state persecution in Turkey, which was confirmed by a Peshmerga commander in the area. The camp is located in territory disputed between Erbil and Baghdad, and is believed by Turkey to have close ties with the PKK, which is designated a terrorist organization by Ankara.

The PKK, which fights for greater rights for Kurds in Turkey, has its headquarters in the Kurdistan Region’s Qandil mountains.

On Wednesday, Erdogan indicated that Makhmour — which he described as an "incubation nest" for the PKK — would soon be targeted. He used similar language on Sunday, saying Turkey will not allow the PKK to use the camp as an "incubation centre for terrorism."

The attack comes amid ongoing Ottoman Turkish operations in Duhok province, said to be targeting the PKK. Numerous civilians have been injured in recent airstrikes, and villages emptied amid fear of further Ottoman Turkish bombings.
An Iraqi security official said PKK officials at the camp had prevented police from entering the camp after the air strike, and declined to share details of the casualties.

The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
has taken its decades-old conflict with Kurdish Death Eaters deep into northern Iraq, establishing military bases and deploying armed military drones against the fighters in their mountain strongholds.

Most of the operations have focused on territory up to 30 km (20 miles) from the border. But Makhmour lies further inside Iraq, and Saturday's strike on the camp prompted dozens in Iraq's Kurdish province of Sulaimaniya to march in protest.

U.S. ambassador to the United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
Linda Thomas-Greenfield visited Ankara last week and said she told officials that "any attack targeting civilians at Makhmour refugee camp would be a violation of international and humanitarian law".

The camp was established in the 1990s when thousands of Kurds from Turkey crossed the border in a movement Ankara says was deliberately provoked by the PKK, which is designated a terrorist organization by the United States and European Union

Miami mayor to fed-up New Yorkers: 'Our arms are open'
[NYPOST] Miami’s mayor said Sunday that he welcomes New Yorkers to the city — boasting of the city’s comparatively low taxes and “best quality of life.”

“Our arms are open in Miami. It’s a two-hour flight. You’re going to save a tremendous amount on cost of living. You’re going to save a tremendous amount on taxes,” said Mayor Francis Suarez on WABC 770’s “The Cats Roundtable.”

“You’re going to have the best quality of life, and be able to buy a property at a fraction of the price,” he added. “You don’t have to sacrifice or suffer, because all the financial companies are now moving to Miami, and all the venture-capital companies that are in Silicon Valley are also moving [to Miami].”

The comments came when the Cuban-American pol, whose city hosts many ex-New Yorkers and wealthy Empire State residents with second homes, was asked by radio show host John Catsimatidis about his message to the Big Apple.

Fauci says GOP efforts to demonise him are 'nonsense' and 'an attack on science'
[INDEPENDENT.CO.UK] Dr Anthony Fauci
...American epidemiologist with rotating opinions, warnings about the unlikely, and reassurances that if you wear a mask you won't get COVID, as long as you're wearing multiple masks, assuming wearing a mask is necessary in the first place...
, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, says the latest round of conservative attacks against him are "nonsense" attacks on science.

The doctor appeared on Rachel Maddow's show on MSNBC to discuss a trove of emails of his that were obtained by BuzzFeed News and The Washington Post that are at the heart of the recent criticisms.

"Dr Fauci is the subject — in a negative way — of every hour on Fox News prime time now, where they think he can somehow be blamed for causing Covid or something, since he's the country's lead scientist on it. Or maybe he's a secret Chinese communist. I actually can't quite follow what it is they think Fauci has done so wrong,"Maddow said.

The latest attack on Dr Fauci revolves around an email in which he mentions "gain-of-function" research regarding the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
Fox News personalities like Tucker Carlson and Republican politicians — including Senator Rand Paul — have alleged that the emails prove that Dr Fauci knew the Wuhan Institute of Virology was conducting research to make coronaviruses more transmissible long before the pandemic began. They also alleged that the US funded some of that research.

Fatah calls to ‘defend Jerusalem… confront the march of the extremist settlers’
”Pay attention to MEEEEE!!!
[IsraelTimes] Fatah calls its members to mobilize to confront a planned Jewish nationalist march through Jerusalem’s Old City on Thursday.

The Paleostinian political party tells its cadres "to stand together effectively, to defend Jerusalem and the Islamic and Christian holy sites, and to confront the march of the krazed killer settlers."

Fatah has suffered criticism in Paleostinian domestic circles in recent weeks. Its leadership, including PA President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
, have been attacked as ineffectual in opposing Israeli policies in Jerusalem, which Paleostinians hope to see as the capital of their future state.

Its main rival Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw,, meanwhile, has seen a boost in popularity following the recent mini-war between the terror group and Israel. Hamas claimed the thousands of rockets it fired at Israeli cities and towns were a response to Israeli actions in Jerusalem, especially on the Temple Mount holy site.

Boko Haram leader is dead, rival jihadists confirm
[IsraelTimes] Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
’s leader Abubakar Shekau
...the lunatic leader of Boko Haram who has been reported dead at least eleven times, pledged his body and soul to ISIS, told his fighters to hang it up once or twice, and been fired by the Caliph and refused to step down. Last seen in 2017, sneaking into Cameroon while wearing a burka...
killed himself in a fight against rival jihadist fighters from the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
West Africa Province (ISWAP) according to audio AFP obtained from the group Sunday, two weeks after reports emerged that he had died.

"Shekau preferred to be humiliated in the hereafter to getting humiliated on Earth. He killed himself instantly by detonating an explosive," a voice speaking in the Kanuri language resembling that of ISWAP leader Abu Musab al-Barnawi said.

The audio was given to AFP by the same source who sent previous messages from the group.

Boko Haram has not yet officially commented on the death of their leader, who waged a more than decade-long insurgency in northeast Nigeria
... a particularly crimson stretch of Islam's bloody border...
, while the Nigerian army said it was investigating the claim.

ISWAP described in the audio how it sent out fighters to Boko Haram’s enclave in the Sambisa forest, who found Shekau sitting inside his house and engaged him in a firefight.

"From there he retreated and escaped, ran and roamed the bushes for five days. However,
some men learn by reading. A few learn by observation. The rest have to pee on the electric fence for themselves...
the fighters kept searching and hunting for him before they were able to locate him," the voice said.

After finding him in the bush, ISWAP fighters urged him and his followers to repent, the voice added, but Shekau refused and killed himself.

"We are so happy," the voice said, adding that Shekau was "someone who committed unimaginable terrorism and atrocities."

Manchin breaks from Dems on S1 election bill: 'Wrong piece of legislation' to unite US
[FOXNEWS] West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin
...Dem senator-for-life from West Virginia. Manchin is one of the approximately one Dem senators who exhibits more integrity than Jello, often even representing his constituents...
said Sunday he'll vote against his fellow wardheelers' far-reaching election bill, the For the People Act, because it's too partisan.

"It's the wrong piece of legislation to bring our country together and unite our country, and I'm not supporting that because I think it would divide us more. I don't want to be in a country that's divided any further," Manchin said on "Fox News Sunday."

"I think there's a lot of great things in that piece of legislation, but there's an awful lot of things that basically don't pertain directly to voting," the senator said.

The bill, also known as S1, is the largest overhaul of U.S. election law in at least a generation and covers many aspects of the voting process, including requiring states to automatically register eligible voters and offer same-day voter registration.

The measure also requires states to offer 15 days of early voting and allows no-excuse absentee balloting, which 14 states would have to implement. The states that already allow it would have to conform to S.1’s standards.

Republicans celebrate mayoral win in majority-Hispanic (85%) McAllen, Texas
[FoxNews] Republicans celebrated Javier Villalobos' narrow win in the mayor's race in McAllen, Texas, on Saturday even though the race is technically nonpartisan.

Villalobos, an attorney, was appointed to the Prepaid Higher Education Tuition Board by Abbott in 2018 and is the former chair of the Hidalgo County GOP.

Iraq
Iraq reports another drone strike on Ain al-Assad Air Base
[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] After it was reported that sirens were heard at Ain al-Assad Air Base, local Iraqi media now report that the base had been targeted by a dronezap last night.

The Iraqi Sabereen News-Telegram Channel reported that the siren went off at the Ain al-Assad base in Al Anbar Province this morning following a dronezap.

Sabereen telegram channel said that the Iraq base which hosts the US troops were attacked by two drones this morning.

According to the report, the attack took place at 1:35 a.m. local time and US forces quickly closed the roads leading to the base.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, bullets whapped! around Butch as he tried to tie his scarf around his shoulder as a tourniquet......
another Iraq news website, Nas News also reported that the Iraq Information Center had confirmed in a statement the drone attack against Ain al-Assad.

The statement said that the air defense base at Ain al-Assad base "confronted two drones and was able to shoot them down."

The troops stationed in Ain al-Assad have been put on alert, according to the local Iraq media reports.
Rudaw adds:
Ain al-Asad airbase in Anbar province and the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC) were both targeted by drones within the same hour shortly after midnight on Sunday.

The Ain al-Asad airbase attack came shortly after a rocket struck near the BDSC in the Iraqi capital.

"At approximately 0015 local time, the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC) was attacked by one rocket round. The rocket impacted near the BDSC and caused no injuries or damage," coalition spokesperson Colonel Wayne Marotto tweeted early Sunday morning.
And from An Nahar:
Several hours earlier a rocket was shot down above Baghdad airport, "without causing casualties or damage," said Colonel Wayne Marotto, spokesman for the US-led military coalition in Iraq.

The US consistently blames Iran-linked Iraqi factions for rocket attacks against Iraqi installations housing its personnel.

Since the start of this year there have been 39 attacks against US interests in Iraq.

The vast majority have been bombs against logistics convoys, while 14 were rocket attacks, some of them claimed by pro-Iran factions, who aim to pressure Washington into withdrawing all their troops.

The use of drones against American interests by these factions is a relatively new tactic, although the US military has previously accused pro-Iran Iraqi groups of helping Yemen's Huthi rebels carry out attacks using such devices against Saudi interests.

Nicaragua police detain another opposition presidential hopeful
[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] Police in Nicaragua have taken opposition politician Arturo Cruz into custody, detaining a second presidential hopeful in less than a week and escalating the battle ahead of November elections in which President Daniel Ortega seeks to maintain his grip on power.

Cruz, an academic who was Nicaragua’s ambassador to the United States between 2007 and 2009, was detained at the Managua airport upon arrival from Washington, DC, on Saturday, according to his aides.

The prosecutor’s offices said in a statement that Cruz was being investigated by the national police based on "strong evidence that he has attacked Nicaraguan society".

It did not give details of possible charges against the 67-year-old or say whether he will remain in jug or under arrest.

Cruz’s detention came three days after opposition figure Cristiana Chamorro — also a possible challenger to Ortega in the November elections — was placed under house arrest after government claims that she was guilty of money laundering.

Cruz, a former ally to Ortega, is a candidate for the Alianza Ciudadana or Citizen’s Alliance, a coalition of right-wing parties supported by prominent businessmen, for the November presidential elections.

The Nicaraguan Center for Human Rights called his detention a "perverse strategy" on the part of Ortega’s government to silence people he considers political enemies.

"These are not criminal investigations, this is political persecution," it said.

The US called for Cruz’s "immediate release".

"The international community has spoken: under Ortega, Nicaragua is becoming an international pariah and moving farther away from democracy," Acting Undersecretary of the US State Department’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs Julie Chung said on Twitter.

The Organization of American States also urged Nicaraguan authorities to free Cruz.

"Manipulating security forces and the judiciary to imprison opposition candidates is unacceptable ... these actions are contrary to free and fair elections," OAS Secretary-General Luis Almagro said on Twitter.

Ortega, a former guerrilla fighter who governed from 1979 to 1990, returned to power in 2007 and won two successive reelections. The 75-year-old aims to be re-elected in November for the third consecutive term.

International organizations, including the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and the Office of the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
High Commissioner for Human Rights, have accused Ortega’s government of fabricating false accusations against opponents.

The electoral body has already eliminated two opposition parties.

casualties are similar to those of Afghan forces in the same time period, but the Defense Ministry reported that 183 Taliban were killed in Afghan defensive operations in eight provinces on June 3, and 181 Taliban were killed in Afghan forces operations in six provinces on June 4.

According to the source, 54 people, including 17 police force members, 3 supportive local police forces, 20 army members, 5 NDS personnel and 8 non-combatants were killed on June 3.

The information indicates that 65 people, including 15 coppers, 23 army members, 5 NDS personnel, 18 members of public uprising forces and 9 non-combatants were killed on June 4.

The Taliban rejected both figures.

"There are festivities in 24 to 27 provinces every day. Security forces casualties have increased, but it is not as much as the Taliban," said Khan Agha Rezaee, the head of the internal security commission of the Wolesi Jirga, the lower house of Parliament.

"The war leadership is faced with problems and meanwhile there aren't enough forces for the clearance and retaking of areas," said Nasim Mudabir, an MP from Baghlan.

The festivities have intensified on multiple fronts as heavy fighting was reported in Faryab in the last 24 hours in which at least a dozen security force members were killed, a member of the provincial council said.

"The figures provided by Afghan forces on Taliban casualties and by the Taliban on Afghan forces casualties are not accurate," said Ilyas Wahdat, former Paktika
...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo...
governor.

The information by the source indicates that 17 non-combatants were killed on June 3 and 4 and 55 more were maimed.

"Last week the Taliban martyred 63 civilians in 27 provinces and maimed 126 others. Women and children are also among the victims," said Rahmatullah Andar, front man for the National Security Council.

"Equal forces are fighting against each other; therefore, it brings casualties," said Ghulam Wali Afghan, an MP from Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
Casualties of security forces and Taliban are usually not stated in public with exact figures, and in most cases, they are not confirmed by independent sources.

Iran Proxies in Iraq Threaten US with Sophisticated Weapons
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The US security authorities suspect that the Iranian-backed Iraqi militias are involved in launching several drone attacks against sensitive targets inside Iraq, in an attempt to evade US defenses, according to a report by the New York Times

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

Washington is grappling with a rapidly evolving threat from Iranian proxies in Iraq after militia forces specialized in operating more sophisticated weaponry, including armed drones.

Africa Horn
AU mission to investigate alleged Kenyan military airstrikes in Somalia
[Garowe] The African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Mission in Somalia [AMISOM] has embarked on a series of investigations into the alleged bombing by the Kenya Defense Forces [KDF] in parts of Gedo, where they allegedly targeted civilians last week.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation linked KDF to the bombing, arguing that the Kenyan contingent has repeatedly targeted innocent people in pursuit of al-shabaab bandidos turbans in Somalia.

The federal government claimed Kenyan troops were acting with "impunity" and demanded that AMISOM carries out investigations into the recent incident. The government also demanded that the report is made public, adding that KDF was notorious for going against the AMISOM mandate.

And in a statement, AMISOM pledged to carry out credible investigations into the incident, adding that it will work closely with all stakeholders to ensure that the probe is not discriminative. The statement doesn't state how long that matter would be under probe.

"The mission is currently engaged in gathering information on the incident and we shall work closely with the federal government, the ministry of foreign affairs, and other stakeholders as we investigate the matter," read the statement.

"AMISOM is obliged to carry out its mandate in a manner consistent with the outlined statutes. The mission is therefore committed to investigating all allegations of rights violations that are leveled against troops under the command in Somalia," it further said.

Kenya has close to 3,500 troops in Somalia who were first deployed under Operation Linda Nchi in 2011 before being absorbed by the AMISOM teams. The troops man Sector II and IV of AMISOM jurisdictions mainly within Jubaland state.

While KDF has been linked to civilian atrocities, the troops are credible for flushing al-shabaab out of Kismayo
...a port city in the southern Lower Juba province of Somalia, at the extreme southern end of the country (always assuming Somalia can be called a country). It is the commercial capital of the autonomous Jubaland region....
, the regional administrative capital of Jubaland. But despite the gains, the troops suffered major setbacks in El-Adde and Kulbuyow in 2016 and 2017 respectively where al-shabaab killed at least 300 of them.

Since then, KDF has been launching serious and effective operations against the bandidos turbans safe for persistent complaints on civilian casualties. Last week, Sector II Commander Brig. Jeff Nyagah visited various Forward Operating Bases in the country where he urged them to execute their roles properly.

The African Union Mission gutter added that: "AMISOM shall investigate this incident and share findings with all stakeholders." The troops also work closely with the Jubaland Security Forces, who get training mostly from the AMISOM troops.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
In first, Israeli F-35s train in Italy — with Iran in their sights
[IsraelTimes] Advanced stealth fighter jets take part in exercise alongside Italian, US, UK pilots in their largest, farthest-away drill yet.

Six Israeli F-35 stealth fighters landed in Italia last week to take part in a two-week air exercise in Italia with its air force, alongside those of the United States and United Kingdom, in the largest and farthest drill that the aircraft have taken part in to date, the military said Sunday.

Though the explicit goal of the exercise is to improve the overall capabilities of the F-35 jet, which entered military service in late 2016, a senior Israeli Air Force officer acknowledged that in part, this drill — dubbed Falcon Strike 2021 — was meant to prepare Israeli pilots for using the fighter aircraft against Iranian forces.

"Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
is in our focus," the senior officer said, speaking to news hounds on condition of anonymity.

The exercise will be held from June 6 to June 17, but will kick off in earnest on Monday. Though Israeli F-35 jets have taken part in international exercises in the past, this will be the first time that the aircraft will fly alongside F-35 planes from three other countries.

The Israeli F-35 fighter jets will take part in two sorties each day. In the first, the Israeli planes will fly with the Americans, while in the second they will fly with the British and Italian air forces.

During these missions, the Israeli pilots will simulate Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on targets behind enemy lines and ground support missions, while flying over unfamiliar terrain.

In addition to facing off against surface-to-air missile threats, the Israeli jets will also take part in aerial dogfights.

These exercises are meant to improve the capabilities of the F-35 fleet as well as the Israeli Air Force’s ability to operate with foreign militaries, according to the officer.

The IAF received its first F-35 fighter jets in December 2016 and has been adding more of them to its fleet in groups of twos and threes in the interim four and a half years up to its current level of 27 planes. Another 23 F-35 jets are due to arrive in Israel by 2024 to fill the IDF’s current order of 50 aircraft, though Israeli officials have said they plan to purchase more.

#1  ...What's interesting here is that the Israeli -35s are actually quite different from the Allied birds. The Israelis insisted on putting their own electronics into their aircraft, and the result is thay are more capable - and a couple orders of magnitude more nasty - than everybody elses. The fact that they're practicing with (and likely against) Fifth Gen aircraft with superbly trained and capable pilots is also intriguing - because their enemies have nothing like them.

As far as we know, anyhow.

Security Forces Suffer 'Heavy Casualties' in Faryab Clashes
[ToloNews] At least 14 security force members, including Saifurrahman Dehzad, the police chief for Qaisar district of Faryab were killed in festivities with Taliban

Taliban launched attack on the police HQ and other parts of the district on Saturday night and "have taken 37 security force members as captive," Saeedi said.

"More than 30 other security force members and the police HQ are under siege by the Taliban and if reinforcements are not deployed in the area, they will also be taken captive by the Taliban," he said.

Chock full of lefty political opinions and not many brains, Markle's most important characteristic is that she is Black, even though she doesn't look it. Her mother, y'see, is half black and her father is white, which would make her a quarter Black. Her half brother described her (to her husband, before their marriage) as a jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage. Once married, she was too classy for the Royals and she and Harry decamped to Beverly Hills, kind of like the Clampetts did, thus making a joke of Harry and the royal family heritage...
’s baby girl has arrived.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced the birth of their second child, Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor — and paid tribute to both Queen Elizabeth II and the late Princess Diana with the child’s name, as Lilibet is the Queen’s family nickname.

"On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe," Meghan and Harry announced in a statement Sunday. "Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family."

The baby was born on Friday at 11:40 a.m. "in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, Calif.," according to press secretary for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. She weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces.

Both Meghan, 39, and the baby "are healthy and well, and settling in at home," according to the statement.

Forced Wedlock in Houthi-run Territories Raises Humanitarian Concerns
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Iran's Houthi sock puppets
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
coup militias in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
are forcing civilian families to hand over their children in compulsory marriages involving its commanders, activists told Asharq al-Awsat, confirming that around 105 cases of forcible wedlock were documented over the last two years.

Yemeni girls living in insurgency-held areas in governorates of Ibb, Hajjah, Dhmar, Al Mahwit, Raymah, Hodeidah, and the capital, Sanaa, are pressured into marrying Houthi officers under the threat of losing their relatives.

Hundreds of families have been affected by the brutish Houthi wedlock policy, especially in Ibb and Hajjah, women rights activists reported.

Speaking under the conditions of anonymity for safety reasons, activists documented 31 accounts of forced marriages in Ibb, 26 in Hajjah, 14 in Raymah governorate, 12 in Hodeidah, 9 in Dhamar, 5 in Al Mahwit, and 3 in Sanaa’s countryside.

Objectors also alleged that hundreds of other cases have gone undocumented as parents were threatened at gunpoint to keep quiet against the inhumane practice.

Reported cases were based on testimonies collected from territories under the Iran-backed guerrillas’ grip.

"Since it waged a nationwide coup and captured Sanaa and other cities, the Houthi insurgency failed in imposing alien rituals, customs and traditions and beliefs on Yemenis," human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
activist S.B. told Asharq al-Awsat.

This failure, according to S.B., compelled Houthis to regress to other methods to please its officers, like offering them Yemeni girls through "forced marriages."

"There are stories in general that tell the extent of the suffering endured by the fathers of many girls who were forced to marry Houthi supervisors," they said, revealing that the ages of the girls wedded by force varied between 13 and 22 years old.

In mid-2016, Houthis kidnapped a girl in the Radmah district, nestled east of Ibb, and forced another girl to marry a prominent Houthi leader in the southern governorate.

Stanford epidemiologist claims Fauci's 'credibility is entirely shot'
[NYPOST] A Stanford epidemiologist said Dr. Anthony Fauci
...American epidemiologist with rotating opinions, warnings about the unlikely, and reassurances that if you wear a mask you won't get COVID, as long as you're wearing multiple masks, assuming wearing a mask is necessary in the first place...
’s "credibility is entirely shot" after his conflicting advice on face masks throughout the pandemic — which the scientist criticized as "all over the place."

"I think he’s been all over the place on masks," Jay Bhattacharya, a professor of medicine at Stanford, told Fox News host Laura Ingraham on her show, "The Ingraham Angle" Saturday.

"There are emails you can find in the treasure trove of emails that have been released where he acknowledged the virus has been aerosolized," he continued.

"Well, the cloth masks people have been recommending, they’re not particularly effective against aerosolized viruses.

"I really don’t understand his back and forth, and his answer made absolutely no sense."

That exchange refers to one in a trove of emails BuzzFeed News and the Washington Post obtained via public records request.

In one email dated Feb. 4, 2020, to Sylvia Burwell, a former secretary of Health and Human Services under Barack Obama
That’s just how white folks will do you....
, Fauci advised her not to wear a mask in an airport — because a regular cloth mask isn’t effective at preventing people from catching the bug.

Virologist Who Told Dr. Fauci Coronavirus Was Likely Engineered and Got Paid After Backtracking on Claims – Just Deleted 5,000 Tweets ‐ Then DELETED ENTIRE ACCOUNT
[GatewayPundit] On February 1, 2020, Dr. Kristian Andersen emailed Dr. Fauci and passed on the findings from several doctors that the coronavirus had “unusual features” that “potentially look engineered.”

Fauci was notified that the virus was not naturally occurring.
But he denied this information pubicly for over a year!

What was interesting is that two months later Dr. Andersen reversed course and published his “proximal Origin” paper where he helped shield NIH/NIAID and Dr. Fauci from potential probes into gain of function funding.

Also why did Dr. Fauci have such a need to promote the report promoting a report “Baric, Shi, et al – Nature medicine – SARS gain of function.pdf.” Fauci sent it out to colleagues as “IMPORTANT” to defend their actions with funding gain of function research.

And then five months after that Dr. Kristian Andersen received $1.88 million in CREID funding from the NIH.

Now internet sleuths have discovered Dr. Kristian Anderson is deleting his tweets — 5,000 of them!
Unless he sends his computer to the FBI very soon, his data is still in danger of full disclosure.

Police arrest Sheikh Jarrah activist twins, claiming they participated in riots
[IsraelTimes] Dozens protest detaining of Muna al-Kurd, who has over 1 million followers on Instagram where she posts against evictions; Foreign Press Association pans earlier arrest of news hound.
Ach! Das Paleomädel und ihr Bruder! But can they skate?

Police arrested a prominent Paleostinian activist in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah on Sunday as tensions in the city crept back toward levels seen ahead of last month’s Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
war, her family said.

Muna al-Kurd, who has 1.3 million followers on Instagram, where she posts about the looming evictions of Paleostinian families in Sheikh Jarrah, was picked up by police in her home on allegations that she participated in "riots" in the East Jerusalem neighborhood that has become a protest hotspot in recent months.

Police did not respond to a request for additional information about the arrest of the 24-year-old, who was released later in the day.

Al-Kurd’s twin brother, Muhammad, another activist in the neighborhood who frequently railed against the evictions in the Arabic press, turned himself in at a cop shoppe in the city Sunday after law enforcement informed his parents that they were looking to arrest him as well.

Dozens of Paleostinians protested outside the Jerusalem cop shoppe where al-Kurd was being held and officers used riot dispersal munitions to scatter them, including stun grenades and smoke bombs, footage posted to social media showed.
Al Ahram adds:
Late Sunday, Muna al-Kurd was released. But before she was freed, police briefly clashed with a crowd outside the station, throwing stun grenades. Her brother remained in custody.

The Socialist-Democrats Party and its Media arm in efforts of "appearing" in control, has decided. It no longer sees a viable political need for ANTI-FArt & BLOM and other radical controlled groups to incite its Cell-Phone trained mindless masses.

Now in power and owning the media and the DOJ. There is no longer a need to to inflect terror on Tax Revenue stream businesses or citizens not following their agenda. Since they no longer need media deflection to hide their candidates & families having taking domestic and foreign country bribes/donations, drugs, embezzlement of Disaster relief 501-#c funds and/or having obvious Mental, Sexual, pedophile issues.

So the Socialist-Democrats Party decided to take another page from the National Socialist Party (Nazi's) proven playbook in dealing with its storm troopers.

Police in riot gear enforce new Washington Square Park curfew
[NYPOST] Chaos erupted in Washington Square Park on Saturday as NYPD officers tried to enforce a newly-instated 10 p.m. curfew.

Police in riot gear clashed with scores of parkgoers who stayed in the Greenwich Village space past deadline.

At least 22 people were arrested for unlawful assembly and violation of park rules, according to law enforcement sources. Five cops were maimed, the sources said.

Video posted on Twitter showed officers forming a line and yelling at people to "move back," as a public address system warned revelers to voluntarily leave the park or be subject to arrest.

Police could then be seen using physical force, including pushing and grabbing, to separate those who formed a human chain in defiance of the command.

China to build over two dozen bio labs like Wuhan Institute in next 5 years
[The Post Millennial via Rantingly] In the next few years, the world could see almost 60 maximum security Level 4 virology labs in operation. The Guangdong province announced in May that it was planning to build between 25 to 30 biosafety labs in the next five years.

What could go wrong?" questioned Human Events senior editor Jack Posobiec:

What could go wrong— AntifaBook.com (@JackPosobiec) June 6, 2021

The facilities will be flung all over the globe, spanning 23 countries including the United Kingdom, the United States, India, Gabon, and Côte d’Ivoire.

The current Wuhan Institute of Virology is now at the center of an investigation by US authorities into whether COVID-19 could have leaked from its lab.

About 75 percent of these facilities are or will be built in urban areas, which has experts around the world worried about the possibility of further "lab leaks."

French senators left Ukraine in horror: an international scandal is coming
Direct translation of the article. Edited
by Nikita Frolov

[Rusvesna] In May, French senators visited Kiev. They probably wanted to see that Ukraine is making leaps and bounds towards holy democracy and tolerance, but everything turned out to be quite the opposite.

Now the French Senate is on its ears, because either the diplomatic relations of the countries will sink into oblivion, or the head of the country's Foreign Ministry admits that Nazism is normal. But first things first.

Senators Jean-Pierre Maug, Natalie Gulet and Joel Gerriot are members of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the French Senate. They arrived in Kiev, were stunned, went home and now "cut off the phone" to the French Foreign Minister, demanding his speech on the Ukrainian issue.

The French were shocked by the fact that in the center of the Ukrainian capital there are Azov tents, where you can buy documents of the dead Nazis, join a battalion and shoot from a Kalashnikov assault rifle.

All this takes place right on the Andreevsky Spusk.

At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities do nothing about it. Nazi propaganda is in full swing in the capital, but everyone doesn't care.

These actions are extremely alarming, and I would like to know what is the position of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on this issue and what measures it intends to take to avoid the spread of this deadly ideology," written in the request of the French senators.

According to French political scientist Omar Arfush, the senators were shocked by what they saw in Kiev. They filmed everything and sent a request to French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian. Now he is obliged to answer, and his answer will become the official position of the country.

And now let us remember that Roman Protasevich, who was detained in Minsk, served in "Azov" , and in fact he is so supported by the Western world. In addition, a meeting between the President of the United States and the French leader will soon take place. Later, a personal dialogue between Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
and Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The very model of propity....
is also planned.

"If the Foreign Minister refuses to recognize the activities of neo-Nazi
...adherents of a philosophy that was seen even at the time as pure evil, which makes them either consciously and purely evil, or attention-seeking ratbags. Pick one, or both....
groups in Ukraine at a Senate meeting, the authors of the request will oppose him. If he immediately expresses concern about the situation in Ukraine, then this can affect the entire policy towards Ukraine," Arfush said.

The French senators created a very delicate situation, but, importantly, they did not ignore what was happening. Especially considering that there are more and more Nazi scandals in Ukraine. For example, on May 9, a representative of the nationalist organization C14 "zigged" when a veteran passed by .

The authorities blamed not a young neo-Nazi for this, but the journalists of the Strana newspaper - they say, they all provoked it. And only after the story spread in the media, a protocol was drawn up for the guy.

So there is definitely a problem with the spread of neo-Nazi ideology in Ukraine. Let's see how this will affect the attitude of the "square" with La Belle France.

Not much of a scandal so far:
A group of French senators demanded that official Gay Paree respond appropriately to the spread of neo-Nazism in Ukraine and stop its spread. About this writes the newspaper "Strana.ua", which provided a copy of the statement.

Members of the French Senate Foreign Relations Committee Natalie Goulet, Jean-Pierre Mogue and Joelle Guerriot visited Kiev in late May and were angry that Nazi symbols were openly exchanged in the city center and enlisted in the Azov battalion. , known for encouraging neo-Nazi sentiments (the organization was banned in Russia — approx. "Lenta.ru").

Senators also point out that such associations are developing more and more active activities "with firearms, practices of assembling and disassembling Kalashnikov assault rifles and promotional services." French politicians are appalled by the growing number of white supremacist militias inciting attacks across Europe.

They have sent a request to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and, according to the source of the publication, intend to ensure that the condemnation of neo-Nazi groups in Ukraine becomes the official position of La Belle France. "I would like to know what measures the ministry intends to take to prevent the spread of this deadly ideology," the senators said in a statement.

The Azov battalion was formed as a volunteer in May 2014, immediately after the outbreak of the armed conflict in southeastern Ukraine. Initially secondary to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, now it is a special unit as part of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Yeah so, the Uke Circus was in town, your handlers didn't want you to miss it.

The French have turned into such "soft boys" since Lom & Sellars died, just no masculinity left in France... It's OK sweet boys, the islamist will be the majority in less than 17 years, you won't be in charge then, , go back to the Ukraine and enjoy the circus.

#2  ...Sadly, this reinforces something historians have said since 1945: Had the actual Nazis had even a clue, they would have presented and conducted themselves as liberators and allies in the Ukraine and not treated them as Untermenschen. Had they done so, Soviet survival - far from a sure thing - would have been an iffy proposition at best.

And even with the way things turned out historically, the Ukraine seems to have still embraced way too much of the NDSAP's policies than would be good for any civilized nation.

Whatever's going on there is bad. If it's not controlled quickly, it could be lots, lots worse.

Fifth Column
Hardesty screws small concrete firm out of contract renewal
[PAMPLINMEDIA] A local sidewalk repair firm says its contract with the city of Portland will not be renewed after the company came under fire for displaying a Blue Lives Matter flag while on the job.

But the city asserts it hasn't torn up the deal just yet — saying no decision has been made.

Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty
...remarkably ugly (physically and spiritually) Dem politician who is currently a Portland City Commissioner since January 2019. Hardesty is the first African American woman to serve on Portland's city council and is a driver in police defunding. She still called 911 over a dispute with a Lyft driver over leaving the window open. She is an open advocate for BLM and Antifa...
had described the pro-police emblem on Oregon Concrete Solutions trucks as a symbol of white supremacy
,...the pernicious doctrine that laws were intended to be obeyed, that society works better when people don't pour shreiking from their places of worship every Friday for a weekend of rioting over insults real or imagined; and that cannibalism, beastiality, incest, murder, theft, rape, and similar activities are bad. A Dead White European (which invalidates his opinion) philosopher once opined that societies thrive when a person's word can be relied upon, and that a society which puts individual happiness first will invariably fail. Strangely enough, other successful societies, such as China, Japan, Korea, and those kinds of places could also be lumped with white supremacist societies, since they push the same values...
— while owner-operator Chris Collins strongly denies the charge, saying his own family is of mixed race.

"I, too, would be outraged if my daughter of African American descent was attacked for her race or ethnicity," Collins said. "I am not a white supremacist and I don't condone white supremacy or their evil agenda."

Collins said the accusations came as he and his wife marked their anniversary at the end of "an incomprehensible year of pain and tragedy," as both are still mourning their 24-year-old daughter, Akaisha Blair Karen Collins, who died from a terminal illness nine months ago.

And while Hardesty said in a May 27 statement that the Portland Bureau of Transportation reached out regarding removal of the flags while working on the city's dime, Collins said he was never ordered to delete the decals, but is now willing to do so.

The Tualatin-based firm inked a $1 million contract with the city of Portland in September 2020, according to records released to Pamplin Media Group. The deal expires Aug. 31.

Other business records show the contractor collected $3 million from the city for a separate deal that was set to end June 30, though it has been extended six times prior.

"There has been no denial of a contract extension or any decisions made regarding a contract that naturally expires later this summer," said Matt McNally, a spokeswoman for Hardesty.

Another $3 million contract appears to expire July 31, 2022. The company has six other employees, according to Collins, and receives the majority of its revenue from the city.

"I've been turning work down to bring 110% dedication to the city of Portland," he said.

An email exchange obtained by Pamplin Media shows Collins was first alerted to citizen complaints regarding the flag on Jan. 25, though the city didn't explicitly tell him to remove it.

Russia needs the dollar, says Putin
Direct Translation of the article
[REGNUM] Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia does not intend to completely abandon the US dollar as the world's reserve currency or universal means of payment. The Russian leader said this in an interview with the heads of world news agencies at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

“If you heard something that I’m saying something about the dollar and understood that we want to get rid of it as a reserve currency or as a universal means of payment, this is not the case, ” Vladimir Putin said.

The Russian leader explained that he was talking about the use of the US dollar by the US authorities as various kinds of sanctions. For example, Russia cannot make dollar payments with its partners in the field of military-technical cooperation, since American sanctions have been imposed on this.

That is why Russia is forced to switch to settlements in other currencies, and not at all because it wants to.

“They are forcing us to do this, our American partners. We do not deliberately leave, we have to do it, ”Putin explained.

Russian financial relations with partners outside the dollar zone are forced to develop.

Putin stressed that by such actions, the US authorities harm themselves, since the whole world sees that settlements in dollars are unreliable. Therefore, the volume of settlements in dollars on a global scale is decreasing.

Democrats silent on sexual assault allegations involving 62 children
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] On Monday, national media reported an explosive story in Colorado. A prominent Black Lives Matter activist, socialist, and Denver Public Schools board member, Tay Anderson, stepped back "from everyday board functions" while an independent investigation looks into startling allegations that he sexually abused 62 current and former students.

The alleged assaults range from unwanted touching to "violent mostly peaceful rape" of students as young as 14 years old. Sixty-one of these students are purportedly illegal immigrants colonists or recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The new allegations come two months after the group BLM5280, and past associates of Anderson’s at the (now-defunct) youth-led gun-control group Never Again Colorado accused him of past sexual assault and harassment.

Media reports about the accusations against Anderson, 22, have barely scratched the surface. Moreover, this saga reveals a broader story.

Ammunition depot detonates in Serbia
Direct translation of the article
[RBC] In the Serbian town of Cacak in the central part of the country, on Friday night, a series of explosions took place at warehouses with ammunition located on the territory of a factory for their production, according to the Novosti newspaper.

According to the newspaper, at about 1:30 local time on the territory of the military enterprise "Sloboda" the first explosions thundered. Ambulance brigades, firefighters, as well as the police arrived at the scene, but they were unable to approach the building.

By 3:00 the newspaper reported that most of the workers who were at the plant at the time had been evacuated; however, several people were still in the building and were transferred to a secure unit.

One of the workers, who was in the shop when the ammunition started to explode, told the newspaper that there were seven other people in addition to her. “We managed to get out, get to the building and enter the concrete basement. This building has no windows and is literally buried in the ground. We're still in the basement. Explosions are heard, everything is shaking. It's scary, ”she said.

By about 3:30, all workers were evacuated from the plant, no one was injured, Novosti reports. According to the newspaper, at the time of the incident, there were 60 people at Sloboda. The townspeople who live nearby were also evacuated.

New Mexico governor dismisses protesters as 'QAnon lizard people'
[NYPOST] New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham
...Dem governor of New Mexico. People who don't support her are QAnon Lizard People, so shut up, damn you...
dismissed the protesters who showed up at her reelection campaign announcement as "QAnon lizard people."

"I know it’s going to be loud, and I just have to say I’m sorry that we picked the same location that the QAnon lizard people meeting was at," the Democrat said, laughing, according to the Santa Fe New Mexican.

"Raucous" protesters gathered outside the Albuquerque Museum to disrupt her presser, the paper reported.

Signs carried at the protest read: "Governor, we are not your subjects," "Open all Businesses now," and "Stop obeying."

"She’s being praised by [President] Biden for being one of the best people for locking down this country, and she’s being applauded for that, but we actually see that as tyranny because she actually forced people to not be able to work," said John Ramacciotti, a gun-carrying protester and intensive-care nurse, said, according to the paper. "I feel like she really has hurt our people, our kids."

Lujan Grisham’s campaign spokeswoman, Kendall Witmer, said the governor "certainly made the shortest speech she’s ever going to" — having cut it short on account of the protest.
