[IsraelTimes] The IDF says it foiled yet another attempt to smuggle weapons into Israel from Egypt using a drone today.
The drone had been spotted crossing the border from Egypt into Israel before it was downed.
The drone was found to be ferrying seven rifles, 10 handguns, and ammunition. The contraband and drone were handed over to the police.
In recent months, there have been frequent attempts to bring weapons and drugs over the Egypt border using drones. There have also been attempts to smuggle similar contraband from Israel into Gaza using drones.
[IsraelTimes] More than 300 civil servants at Britain’s foreign ministry have written to Foreign Secretary David Lammy expressing concerns about Israel’s conduct in Gaza, the BBC reports.
The officials warned of potential UK “complicity” in what they called “Israel’s violations of international humanitarian law” during the war in the Palestinian territory, sparked by the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, assault on southern Israel.
The letter dated May 16 questioned the continuation of some UK arms sales to the country, according to the broadcaster.
“In July 2024, staff expressed concern about Israel’s violations of international humanitarian law and potential UK government complicity,” the staff wrote, according to excerpts cited by the BBC.
“In the intervening period, the reality of Israel’s disregard for international law has become more stark,” they added, citing the killing of humanitarian workers, restrictions on international aid and violence by Israeli settlers in the West Bank.
Israel denies having violated international law amid the fighting in Gaza.
The letter added that the UK government had contributed to “the erosion of global norms,” including through weapons exports, the broadcaster reports.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s Labour government suspended some 30 of 350 arms export licenses to Israel in September 2024, citing a “risk” they could be used in violations of international law.
London has also sanctioned settlers in the West Bank and suspended negotiations on a new free trade agreement with Israel.
But it continues to supply components for F-35 fighter jets to a global pool that Israel is able to access.
The BBC reports that the two most senior officials in the FCDO replied to the letter by saying the signatories could “resign” if they disagreed with government policy.
“This is an honourable course,” they told staff, the BBC reports, adding that the response shocked the civil servants.
The FCDO spokesperson says, “It is the job of civil servants to deliver on the policies of the government of the day.”
“There are systems in place which allow them to raise concerns if they have them,” they add.
[IsraelTimes] Israel denies that it gave Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, after the Israeli envoy to Kyiv indicated that it had.
“It is not correct,” says the Foreign Ministry in a statement. “Israel did not transfer Patriot systems to Ukraine.”
“These systems are now in Ukraine,” said Ambassador Michael Brodsky in an interview with a Ukrainian YouTube channel on Sunday. “Israeli systems that were in service in the early 1990s, we agreed to transfer them to Ukraine, and unfortunately we did not talk about it very much.”
In May, The New York Times reported that a Patriot system based in Israel would be sent to Ukraine after it is refurbished.
A diplomatic source tells The Times of Israel that interceptor missiles were given by Israel to the US earlier this year, but none have been received by Ukraine.
[IsraelTimes] Two Palestinians were killed while attempting to snatch a soldier’s gun in the West Bank city of Nablus earlier today, the military says.
Four soldiers were also hurt in the incident.
According to the IDF, the incident began as several suspects were being questioned by troops amid an ongoing counter-terror operation in Nablus.
During the questioning, two Palestinians tried to snatch a gun from one of the soldiers. Several bullets were fired from the gun as it was being grabbed by the Palestinians, moderately injuring a soldier and lightly injuring three others.
The other troops then returned fire, killing the two.
Footage from the incident shows one of the men approaching troops with his hands raised and lifting his shirt, before a soldier kicks him. The soldiers are then seen attacking and scuffling with the man, as gunfire is heard.
[IsraelTimes] The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation says it distributed 35,520 boxes of food at three sites in central and southern Gaza today.
The US- and Israeli-backed foundation says each box contains meals for 5.5 people for 3.5 days.
However, its contents are largely dry food products that require community kitchens or cooking equipment to prepare, which are very scarce in war-ravaged Gaza.
GHF says aid was distributed without incident, but Palestinian media reported that 20 people were killed while en route to one of the distribution sites, in what has become a near-daily allegation.
The IDF said its troops fired warning shots at Palestinians who approached forces “and posed a threat” in the Netzarim Corridor area. The military said it was aware of the reports of casualties by its gunfire in the area, but “the reported number of casualties is inconsistent with the information available to the IDF.”
Against future need — President Trump appears still in negotiation mode.
[IsraelTimes] The top US military commander for the Middle East says he has presented US President Donald Trump with military plans to strike Iran and is prepared to do if so ordered.
“I have provided the secretary of defense and the president a wide range of options,” Central Command head Gen. Michael Kurilla says during testimony before the House Armed Services Committee.
Kurilla was responding to Representative Mike Rogers of Alabama, the chairman of the committee, who asked if CENTCOM was prepared to respond with overwhelming force if Iran does not permanently giveup its nuclear ambitions.
“I take that as a yes?” the Alabama Republican asks, after Kurilla responds.

"In addition to the box of carrots, we have a whole bunch of sticks all lined up ready for use. It's our job."
Contingency planning, it's what the military does. At least when they are not DEIing. Hey, remember back in the day when we used to joke about how the Army probably had plan to invade Canada? I'm so old that used to be funny.

Yes, we have a plan to invade Canada.
The old one was WAR PLAN CRIMSON, I believe.
Today the new one is Trump's.
It won't happen becaue Canada will surrender, but anyway.
Even Fall Grun was more of a parade than invasion.
[IsraelTimes] Military says toll reported by Palestinian media inconsistent with its data; rocket fired from north Gaza intercepted; IDF says it destroyed 1,200 terror sites in Khan Younis suburb
The military said Tuesday that troops fired warning shots at Paleostinians who approached them near a US- and Israeli-backed aid distribution site in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... hours before it opened, while separately, it shot down a rocket fired from the northern part of the Strip at Israel.
Soldiers fired the warning shots at Paleostinians who approached them, posing a threa, in the Netzarim Corridor area near the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) facility, the Israel Defense Forces said.
The military said the Paleostinians approached the troops "despite warnings that the area is an active combat zone."
Paleostinian media reported that some 20 people were killed and dozens were maimed in the incident — a toll that cannot be verified.
The reports said the people were waiting to pick up supplies at the site.
Medics said the casualties were rushed to two hospitals — the al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat camp in central Gaza, and the al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City, in the north.
The military said it was aware of the reports of casualties caused by its gunfire in the area, but "the reported number of casualties is inconsistent with the information available to the IDF."
The IDF said it was further investigating the incident.
Last week, it warned Paleostinians not to approach routes leading to Gaza Humanitarian Foundation sites between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. local time, describing these roads as closed military zones.
There was no immediate GHF comment on Tuesday’s incident.
Additionally, it was unclear how many of its sites had opened.
"I went there at 2 a.m., hoping to get some food. On my way there, I saw people returning emptyhanded. They said aid packages have run out in five minutes. This is insane and isn’t enough," said Mohammad Abu Amr, 40, a father of two.
"Dozens of thousands arrive from the central areas and from the northern areas too, some of them walked for over 20 km (12 miles), only to come back home with disappointment," he told Rooters via a chat app. He said he heard the firing but didn’t see what happened.
The Israel- and US-backed GHF has faced heavy scrutiny from other aid bodies, as well as the UN and foreign countries, which say that it does not sufficiently address the humanitarian needs in the war-torn Paleostinian enclave.
Critics have also accused GHF of putting aid seekers in harm’s way, with operations beset by deadly incidents for multiple days in a row.
Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... authorities claimed at least 10 people were killed after the GHF closed one of its Tel Sultan centers due to the "chaos of the crowds" on Monday.
Witnesses blamed IDF troops and the Abu Shabaab group, which defense sources confirmed on Thursday that Israel was arming. The militia has been linked in the past to smuggling operations with Egyptian jihadist groups.
Also called the Popular Forces, the group says it is guarding the environs of the GHF centers in southern Gaza. Aid workers say it has a long history of looting UN aid trucks. GHF has said it does not work with the Abu Shabaab group.
Though the UN has continued to distribute aid in the Strip while GHF finds its footing, it has complained that it has been unable to deliver much of its humanitarian supplies due to IDF restrictions on movements and because roads that the military designates for its trucks to use are unsafe and vulnerable to looters.
Israel and the United States accuse Hamas of stealing aid, while the UN denies there is any systematic diversion away from civilians. The UN says the new system is unable to meet mounting needs and allows Israel to use aid as a weapon by determining who can receive it and by forcing people to relocate to where the aid sites are positioned.
Meanwhile,
...back at the Hubba Hubba Club, Nunzio wondered: Where the hell was Chumbaloni? And where was his $600?... on Tuesday, a rocket launched from northern Gaza was intercepted by air defenses, the military said.
Sirens had sounded at Zikim Beach.
Following the rocket fire, the IDF issued an additional evacuation warning for the area of the launch — an area that is already under an existing order issued by the military in late May.
"The IDF is operating with great force in the areas where you are located to destroy the capabilities of terror organizations. The IDF will respond firmly to every terror act or rocket attack," the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Col. Avichay Adraee said on X.
Civilians were called to head for "known shelters" in Gaza City.
1,200 ’TERROR INFRASTRUCTURES’ IN KHAN YOUNIS DESTROYED
IDF troops demolished over 1,200 "terror infrastructures" in the Khan Younis suburb of Khuzaʽa during a recent operation in the area, as part of efforts to expand Israel’s buffer zone along the border with the Gaza Strip, the military said Tuesday.
The operation in Khuzaʽa in recent weeks was led by the 188th Armored Brigade.
"The forces worked to locate and destroy terror infrastructure in the [Khuzaʽa] area, which served as a central Hamas terror stronghold," the IDF said.
Hundreds of Hamas Lions of Islam set out from Khuzaʽa during the October 7, 2023, onslaught, especially to Kibbutz Nir Oz.
Nir Oz was one of the worst-hit communities during Hamas’s October 7 terror onslaught. In all, 47 people were killed in the kibbutz and another 76 were kidnapped by the Lions of Islam to Gaza.
During combat engineering operations and Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s, the IDF said it killed dozens of terror operatives and destroyed 1,200 sites, both above and below ground, to "remove the threat to the border communities."
Among the destroyed infrastructures was a tunnel that was 500 meters long and 25 meters deep, the military added.
Additionally, the al-Amal Hospital in Gaza is now "virtually out of service" due to intense military activity, the head of the WHO said Monday.
"Access to the hospital is obstructed, preventing new patients from reaching care, and leading to more preventable deaths," the World Health Organization’s director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus posted on X.
Tedros said two emergency medical teams — one local, the other international — "are still doing their best to serve the remaining patients with the limited medical supplies left on the premises."
"With the closure of al-Amal, Nasser Medical Complex is now the only remaining hospital with an intensive care unit in Khan Younis," he said.
The WHO said June 5 that al-Nasser and al-Amal hospitals were unable to fully treat the maimed that continue to pour in because of serious shortages of medicines and medical supplies after the now-ended total blockade.
The Hamas-run Health Ministry says more than 54,000 people in the Strip have been killed or are presumed dead in the fighting so far, though the toll cannot be verified and does not differentiate between civilians and fighters. Israel says it has killed some 20,000 combatants in battle as of January and another 1,600 Lions of Islam inside Israel during the October 7, 2023, onslaught.
Israel launched its war in Gaza following the Hamas assault on southern Israel that killed some 1,200 people and saw another 251 taken hostage. Terror groups in Gaza continue to hold 55 hostages, including the bodies of at least 33 confirmed dead by the IDF, and 20 who are believed to be alive. There are grave concerns for the well-being of two others, Israeli officials have said.
Israel has said it seeks to minimize civilian fatalities and stresses that Hamas uses Gaza’s civilians as human shields, fighting from civilian areas, including homes, hospitals, schools, and mosques.
Israel’s toll in the ground offensive against Hamas in Gaza and in military operations along the border with the Strip stands at 429.
[IsraelTimes] Iranian agent also reportedly asked for pictures of foreign minister’s home, but child reportedly blocked him on Telegram after becoming concerned
A 13-year-old boy from Tel Aviv was arrested on suspicion of acts of vandalism on behalf of Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... in exchange for financial compensation, the Israel Police and Shin Bet said Tuesday.
The boy spray-painted graffiti in the Tel Aviv area at the behest of an Iranian agent, police said, but declined to elaborate on the content of the graffiti.
The minor, a resident of Tel Aviv, was allegedly contacted by the foreign agent via the Telegram messaging app. He was tasked with vandalizing several bus stops, according to the Kan public broadcaster.
He is the youngest in a string of suspects detained by police in recent months on suspicion of carrying out tasks on behalf of Iranian agents.
In past espionage cases, police have alleged that suspects hung posters with pro-Iran messaging, while other suspects were accused of spray painting anti-Netanyahu slogans.
The young suspect was also allegedly offered money to photograph the home of Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, Kan reported.
But rather than take pictures of his house, he was said to have grabbed photos off of social media and sent them to his Iranian contact in return for hundreds of shekels in cryptocurrency.
Police said the agent also requested the youth take photographs of the Iron Dome missile defense system, but he refused.
A front man for law enforcement said the 13-year-old was released to house arrest and his parents have been updated throughout all the stages of the investigation.
The boy’s parents knew nothing of his contact with the foreign agent until police showed up with an arrest warrant for their son, according to Kan.
Hagit Rachmani-Weiss, the public defense attorney representing the youth, told the public broadcaster that her client was unaware that the person who contacted him was a foreign agent.
"This is a young child who had no intention of harming the country," she said. "When concerns arose, he immediately severed the connection and even blocked the contact."
She claimed that after the boy’s version of events was presented to law enforcement, they agreed to release him to five days of house arrest.
Speaking to The Times of Israel, Rachmani-Weiss said she does not expect charges to be filed against the child.
In a statement, police called on parents to be vigilant in monitoring their children’s internet activity to ensure they do not make contact with foreign agents.
In May, a 16-year-old was arrested on similar suspicions of hiding money, photographing sensitive locations and printing inciting flyers.
Last week, Iranian media outlets claimed without evidence to have obtained a vast trove of "strategic and sensitive" intelligence related to Israel’s nuclear facilities and defense plans. No details on the documents were provided, however.
Iran state television ... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
said the data was obtained during a "covert operation" involving Israeli citizens Roy Mizrahi and Almog Attias, who were arrested by police in late April on suspicion of collecting intelligence on Iran’s behalf.
Mizrahi and Attias are two of dozens of suspects thought to have carried out missions for Iranian intelligence operatives. Over the past two years, Iran has ramped up its efforts to recruit ordinary Israelis as spies in exchange for money.
Of the dozens arrested and charged with espionage for Iran, only a few have been sentenced so far. In late April, a man was handed a 10-year prison sentence for contacts with Iranian agents that included discussions of a plot to assassinate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
[IsraelTimes] Father and son said killed in southern village of Shebaa; IDF says one a Hezbollah member, second was in allied terror group.
A Hezbollah operative and a member of an allied terror group, identified by Lebanese authorities as a father and son, were killed in an Israeli dronezap in a southern Lebanese village on Tuesday, the military said.
The strike took place in the village of Shebaa, according to the IDF and Leb ...home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade.... ’s state-run National News Agency.
NNA reported that the strike also maimed a second son.
According to the IDF, the second operative was a member of the Lebanese Resistance® Companies, a smaller militia affiliated with Hezbollah.
According to the IDF, the two operatives were involved in "handling weapons used by Hezbollah for terror purposes and for observation of IDF soldiers in the area."
Their activity "constitutes a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon," the IDF added.
Lebanon’s health ministry also confirmed that two people were killed and one was maimed in the strike on Shebaa.
The al-Maydeen network, affiliated with terror group Hezbollah, claimed that one of those killed was a soldier in the Lebanese army.
Israel had warned on Friday that it would keep up its strikes on Hezbollah targets across Lebanon despite the condemnation expressed by the Lebanese government after a massive strike on south Beirut the previous night on the eve of the Eid al-Adha ...a major Moslem holiday, marked by animal sacrifice and ritual rioting... holiday, following an evacuation warning.
Iran-backed Hezbollah said the strikes leveled nine residential blocks. The Israeli military said they targeted underground drone factories after Lebanese authorities failed to act.
Israel has continued to carry out targeted strikes on Hezbollah operatives and infrastructure since it signed a ceasefire with Lebanon in late November, alleging violations of the truce agreement.v
According to the IDF, over 180 Hezbollah operatives have been killed in that time.
The ceasefire agreement brought to an end more than a year of fighting with the Iran-backed Hezbollah, including two months of open war in southern Lebanon late last year.

Under the terms of the ceasefire, Hezbollah was required to withdraw its fighters north of the Litani River and dismantle all military infrastructure in southern Lebanon. Israel was to withdraw from Lebanon, while maintaining the right to attack threats to its security.
Since then, the Lebanese state has been working methodically to dismantle the terror group’s infrastructure in the south of the country, and is estimated to have seized the majority of the terror group’s weapons stockpile in the same area.

The Iranian judiciary’s Mizan news agency announced the executions, saying that the death sentence ...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead... s had been upheld by the country’s top court.
It described the holy warriors as being detained after they were in a clash in the country’s western region with Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, in which three troops and several IS fighters were killed. Authorities said they had seized a cache of combat weapons, including a machine gun and 50 grenades, after surrounding the bully boys’ hideout.
Iran carries out executions by hanging. In the past eight months, it has executed an average of one person every six hours, according to Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, director of advocacy group Iran Human Rights.
He said Tuesday’s executions were issued without fair trials and that there have been no updates about seven others reportedly detained in the 2018 attack.
IS, which once held vast territory across Iraq and Syria in a self-described caliphate it declared in 2014, was ultimately beaten back by US-led forces.
It has since been in disarray, though it has mounted major assaults. In Iran’s neighbor Afghanistan, for instance, IS is believed to have grown in strength since the fall of the Western-backed government there to the Taliban ...Arabic for students... in 2021.
The group previously claimed a June 2017 attack in Tehran on parliament and a mausoleum of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini that killed at least 18 people and maimed more than 50. It has claimed other attacks in Iran, including two suicide kabooms in 2024 targeting a commemoration for an Iranian general slain in a 2020 US dronezap. That assault killed at least 94 people.
The clash with Revolutionary Guardsmen in 2018 marked a point of heightened tensions between Iran and the bully boy group. Iran launched ballistic missiles at parts of eastern Syria, vowing Dire Revenge after holy warriors disguised themselves as soldiers and shot up a military parade in the Islamic Theocratic Republic’s southwest. That attack killed at least 25 people and was claimed by both IS and local separatists.
But Tehran’s hand in Syria was weakened with the fall last year of President Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Supressor of the Damascenes... , a key ally. Analysts say IS could take advantage of the security vacuum to stage a comeback while Syria’s new leaders are still consolidating their control over the country and forming a national army.
[IsraelTimes] Houthis take responsibility for attack, claiming to target Ben Gurion Airport, hours after Israeli Navy bombs Hodeida port
A ballistic missile launched at Israel by the Iran-backed Iran's Houthi sock puppets ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... was intercepted by air defenses on Tuesday evening, the Israeli military said, in what has become an almost daily occurrence.
The missile attack came hours after Israeli Navy corvettes struck the Houthi-controlled port of Hodeida, in response to the Iran-backed group’s repeated attacks on Israel.
The missile fired at Israel on Tuesday broke up into multiple parts after being hit by an interceptor, leading the Israeli Air Force to launch additional interceptors to shoot down the fragments, a military official told The Times of Israel.
At least seven interceptors were seen launched.
In the past, intact warheads from partially intercepted Houthi missiles have fallen to the ground and caused harm.
The Iran-backed Houthis took responsibility for the attack, claiming to have launched two ballistic missiles at Ben Gurion Airport in central Israel. The second missile apparently fell short or broke up in the air, as several Houthi projectiles have in recent weeks.
The attack triggered sirens shortly before 8 p.m. across central Israel, the Jerusalem area, southern West Bank settlements, and some areas in southern Israel. Preceding the sirens by two minutes, an early warning was issued to residents, alerting civilians of the long-range missile attack via a push notification on their phones.
The Israel Defense Forces issued a statement on the incoming attack some five minutes before sirens sounded.
There were no reports of injuries in the attack. Debris from the intercepted missile or the interceptors landed near Jerusalem and in the West Bank, causing no major damage.
On Tuesday morning, in its first-ever strike on Yemen, the Israeli Navy destroyed infrastructure at the port of Hodeida with two guided missiles launched from advanced Sa’ar 6-class corvettes hundreds of kilometers away.
It was the 11th Israeli strike on the Houthis since the start of the conflict, with the previous 10 all having been carried out by the Air Force.
[IsraelTimes] Ramallah-based Addameer, five other NGOs based in Gaza and Europe sanctioned for diverting donations meant for humanitarian aid to terror groups including Hamas’s military wing
The US Treasury Department on Tuesday imposed sanctions on a major Paleostinian legal group for prisoners and detainees along with five other charitable entities, accusing them of supporting terror groups, including Hamas ..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... ’s military wing, under the pretense of humanitarian aid in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. Those sanctioned include Addameer, a nongovernmental organization that was founded in 1991 and is based in the Paleostinian Authority-controlled city of Ramallah in the West Bank.
The group provides free legal services to Paleostinian political prisoners and detainees in Israeli custody and monitors the conditions of their confinement.
Washington claimed that Addameer ("Conscience" in Arabic) "has long supported and is affiliated" with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine.
A fiercely anti-Israel Marxist-Leninist group, the PFLP’s armed wing pioneered plane hijackings in the 1970s and has carried out deadly attacks against Israelis. It is proscribed as a terror group by the US, Israel, and the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
The NGO is officially non-partisan and independent, though many of those the group defends have been accused of being tied to the PFLP.
Additionally, its former director Khalida Jarrar — who was released from administrative detention in January 2025, as part of a hostage-release, ceasefire, and prisoner-release deal with Hamas — is a prominent PFLP official.
Israel, too, has alleged that Addameer funds terrorism, a claim that the United Nations ...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships... previously said it could not support with compelling evidence.
Israel’s 2022 storming of Addameer’s offices, after Jerusalem designated it and five other groups as terror organizations, prompted a rebuke from the UN, which said in a statement that Israel had not provided convincing evidence to support the claim.
The UN said Addameer was conducting "critical human rights ...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless... , humanitarian and development work in the Occupied Paleostinian Territory."
In February, the Zachor Legal Institute, an Israeli-American advocacy group that says it focuses on combating antisemitism and terrorism, requested that Addameer be added to the Treasury’s sanctions list.
In a letter, which was signed by 44 other groups and addressed to US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Zachor relied in part on undisclosed evidence from Israeli security sources in its call for sanctions on Addameer.
Marc Greendorfer, president of Zachor Legal Institute, said in an email to the News Agency that Dare Not be Named that his group was "very pleased to see Treasury following up on our request."
He said the federal government should act "to prevent hostile foreign actors from spreading hate and violence in the United States. We applaud Treasury’s action and encourage Treasury to expand its focus to the other groups that we identified."
Other entities hit with sanctions Tuesday include:
1. The Gaza-based charity Al Weam Charitable Society and its leader
2. The Ottoman Turkish charity Filistin Vakfi and its leader
3. El Baraka Association for Charitable and Humanitarian Work and its leader
4. The Netherlands-based Israa Charitable Foundation Netherlands and two employees
5. The Italia-based Associazione Benefica La Cupola d’Oro
All five groups, along with the named individuals, intentionally raised money for Hamas’s military wing, though some of their donors were unaware of the terror ties, according to the US Treasury Department.
A 2024 report by the Department highlighted how online crowdfunding is increasingly done under the guise of soliciting legitimate charitable donations, making it difficult to identify as terrorist financing.
Because the majority of crowdfunding activity is legitimate, "this status can make it more difficult for law enforcement attempting to investigate potential (terrorist financing) cases with a crowdfunding and online fundraising nexus," the report said.
[IsrelTimes] Protest groups urge followers to join demonstrations, link Immigration and Customs Enforcement to Israel: ‘This is a global infrastructure of state violence and we must dismantle it’
Anti-Israel activist groups have thrown their weight behind immigration protests in Los Angeles and other US cities that started on Friday.
The protests in Los Angeles began when immigration authorities arrested dozens of people around the city. The demonstrations have seen vandalism, property destruction, highway blockages and festivities with police, prompting an escalating response from federal authorities.
Leading anti-Israel activist groups, including National Students for Justice in Paleostine, the Paleostinian Youth Movement, PAL-Awda, Within Our Lifetime, and campus protesters have urged their followers to join the demonstrations, tying the unrest to Israel.
National Students for Justice in Paleostine called on its followers to protest, and posted an image of Trump administration officials with a swastika, calling the administration "the fourth reich."
"We have a duty to resist oppression wherever it manifests: from the barrios of LA to the refugee camps of Bethlehem," National Students for Justice in Paleostine said. "We will globalize the intifada."
"Death to the occupation, from the West Bank to LA," the group said.
The anti-Zionist Jewish Voice for Peace also compared the protests to the Holocaust, saying, "Never again means never again for anyone. Not for Paleostinians under siege. Not for immigrants colonists in detention."

It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... now fly over the US-Mexico border," the group said. "This is a global infrastructure of state violence and we must dismantle it together."
Anti-Israel groups also urged their followers to join protests in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... , New York and other cities.
"As the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza reaches its most violent mostly peaceful point yet, weaponizing aid to displace, slaughter, and starve Paleostinians, ICE is disappearing community members," said Within Our Lifetime, the leading anti-Israel activist group in New York.
The holy warrior group Unity of Fields, formerly Paleostine Action US, called for "an intifada, people’s war" in Los Angeles and for more property destruction. The group shared images of Molotov cocktails, the improvised Molotov cocktails used to target hostage protesters in Colorado last week.
“This level of militant, revolutionary internationalism in the heart of Amerika was unthinkable before the al-Aqsa Flood,” Unity of Fields said, using the Hamas term for the October 2023 invasion of Israel. “We owe everything to the anti-colonial armed resistance of the Palestinian people. Sinwar and Deif and all of the brave warriors.”
The group said on Friday that Apple had suspended its Telegram channel as it agitated for upheaval in Los Angeles. The group has repeatedly supported violence, including by backing Elias Rodriguez, charged with killing two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington, DC, last month.
Alongside pro-immigrant graffiti, vandals at the protests have scrawled anti-Israel slogans such as “Free Palestine,” “intifada,” “Israel trains ICE,” and inverted red triangles, a Hamas symbol.
At the protests, some demonstrators cover their faces with keffiyehs, a symbol of the pro-Palestinian movement. Video shows a protester wearing Palestinian terror group apparel and waving a Mexican flag in front of a burning vehicle.
In San Francisco, protesters vandalized a Jewish-owned community center with antisemitic graffiti.
Anti-Israel activists in the US have long sought to tie their movement to unrelated domestic and global issues, from library closures to law enforcement.
When wildfires ravaged Los Angeles earlier this year, many of the groups blamed the fires on Israel, sparking backlash from Jewish groups.
[IsraelTimes] US attorney says Pakistani national ‘planned to use automatic weapons to kill as many members of our Jewish community as possible, all in support of Islamic State’
A Pak man was extradited from Canada to the United States on Tuesday to face charges of plotting to carry out an attack on Jews in New York City, the Justice Department said.
Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, 20, also known as Shahzeb Jadoon, was arrested in Canada in September while in the country on a student visa.
According to a criminal complaint, Khan planned to travel to New York and carry out a mass shooting in support of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (IS) at a Jewish center in Brooklyn on the October 7 anniversary of the deadly 2023 Hamas ..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... attack on Israel.
"He planned to use automatic weapons to kill as many members of our Jewish community as possible, all in support of IS," US Attorney Jay Clayton said in a statement.
Khan allegedly revealed his plans in conversations with conspirators who were actually undercover law enforcement officers, the Justice Department said.
He was taken into custody by Canadian authorities in the municipality of Ormstown some 12 miles (19 kilometers) from the US-Canada border.
Khan is charged with attempting to provide material support and resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization and attempting to commit acts of terrorism. He could face a maximum of life in prison if convicted.
Jewish Voice for Peace, the Freedom Flotilla, the one the Soros foundations invented to replace AIPAC, only nobody was interested —
[Townhall] Swedish activist Greta Thunberg’s “Freedom Flotilla,” which attempted to bring aid to Palestinians living in Gaza, is the brainchild of a Hamas-linked figure in the United Kingdom.
Palestinian journalist Zaher Birawi reportedly described himself as a “founding member” of the Freedom Flotilla International Coalition, which arranged Thunberg’s ill-fated voyage to the Gaza Strip, according to The Telegraph.
Mr Birawi, a Palestinian-British journalist at an Arabic-language satellite TV channel in London, was at the launch of the Madleen a week ago, livestreaming it from its dock in Sicily. Ms Thunberg gave a speech before the boat set sail for Gaza.
In 2013, Mr Birawi was designated by Israel as a Hamas operative in Europe and is the head of the Europal Forum, which Israel designated as a terrorist organisation in 2021.
The Europal Forum strongly denied any terror links, and in 2021 Mr Birwani received compensation after taking legal action against a financial database, which he said had wrongly placed him on a terrorism watch list.
He denied ever being involved in any illegal acts within the scope of terrorism crimes.
Speaking in the Commons in October 2023, Christian Wakeford, the Labour MP for Bury South, used parliamentary privilege to name 63-year-old Mr Birawi as a Hamas operative living in Barnet, north London.
Birawi “is listed as a trustee of a UK-registered charity, Education Aid for Palestinians, and publicly available video shows him hosting a 2019 event in London titled Understanding Hamas,” Wakeford said.
When Hamas massacred Israeli civilians on October 7, 2023, Birawi reportedly referred to the tragedy as a “blessed morning.”
You will not be surprised to learn, I hope, that Zaher Birawi is a key figure behind the selfie yacht idiocy.
Birawi became involved in Islamist activities after moving to the UK in the early 1990s. He became the chairman of the Muslim Association of Britain, an organization affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, in 2001. The Muslim Brotherhood has been linked to several terrorist organizations. He has been instrumental in the protests against Israel in the UK.
While Birawi denies any involvement in terrorist activities, there are several indications that he is deeply tied to Hamas. The Israeli government claims he was a senior Hamas operative in Europe. He has been photographed alongside Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed by Israeli forces last year.

Greta Thunberg just departed from Israel and is flying home to Sweden. Her “aid” stunt flopped. She sailed with a group of celebrities and some food, mostly eaten by the "activists" themselves, made selfies, got intercepted and sent home.
[IsraelTimes] Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has directed his office to cancel a critical agreement for sustaining the Palestinian economy in retaliation for the decision by five Western countries to sanction him and fellow far-right minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
Smotrich’s office says in a statement that he directed the Finance Ministry’s accountant-general, Yali Rotenberg, to waive the indemnity that Israeli banks have been given to correspond with Palestinian banks.
Smotrich earlier in the day reportedly pledged to collapse the PA in response to the sanctions, even though Ramallah was not known to have any involvement in the joint decision by the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Norway.
The Palestinian economy relies heavily on the banks’ relationships with their Israeli counterparts to process transactions made in shekels, as the PA does not have its own currency. Some NIS 53 billion ($14 billion) were exchanged at Palestinian banks in 2023, according to official data.
The overwhelming majority of exchanges in the West Bank are in shekels, Israel’s national currency, because the Palestinian Authority is prevented from having a central bank that would allow it to print its own currency.
The so-called corresponding banking agreement requires periodic extensions by Israel to remain in effect, and the Biden administration exhausted significant efforts in urging Israel not to allow its expiration. The administration warned that failing to maintain the banking relations between Israel and the Palestinians would turn the West Bank into a “cash economy,” which would benefit terrorist organizations in the territory and make it harder for the already-weakened PA to fight such groups.
The Israeli security establishment also pushed back against the move, and Smotrich ultimately agreed to grant a one-year extension to the banking deal last November.
[IsraelTimes] Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese
…an uncreatively typical Jew-hating, native Ozzie-hating labour socialist politician who looks to harm Israel in ways large and small whenever the chance arises. Ditto for his own people…
says condemnation by the US and Israel of sanctions imposed on two far-right Israeli cabinet ministers is “predictable,” and that the two men have impeded a two-state solution.
“The Israeli Government does need to uphold its obligations under international law and some of the expansionist rhetoric that we’ve seen as well is clearly in contradiction of that from these hard-line right wing members of the Netanyahu government,” Albanese says on Wednesday in an interview with ABC Radio Sydney.
Comments by the two men “have aided what is a serious impediment to a two-state solution,” he adds.
The sanctions freeze the assets and impose travel bans on National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, both West Bank settlers, Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong says.
“We, along with those other countries and the broader international community, believe we can only see peace in the Middle East when we deal with two states and when both Israelis and Palestinians can live in peace and security,” she says in a television interview with Seven.
Israel’s ambassador to Australia, Amir Maimon, writes on X that the sanctions are “deeply concerning and entirely unacceptable.”
[IsraelTimes] Rabbi at Kane Street Synagogue says though official reason for cancellation was an inability to ‘garner sufficient involvement,’ one participating group cited congregation’s Israel politics
The Brooklyn 2025 Pride festivities will not include an interfaith service this year after at least one group allegedly pulled out due to the hosting synagogue’s "public alignment with pro-Israel political positions."
Kane Street Synagogue, a historic Conservative synagogue in Brooklyn, was set to host the 15th annual interfaith service on Wednesday before it was canceled last week.
Mickey Heller, a co-chair of Brooklyn Pride, said the cancellation followed low registration and after a number of participating organizations and choirs had "for whatever reason" said they were unable to attend this year.
In an email to Kane Street congregants on Friday, Rabbi Michelle Dardashti said that while the reason stated by organizers for the cancellation of the interfaith service was an inability to "garner sufficient involvement," an email sent by one participating musical group cited the synagogue’s Israel politics.
"The leader of one of the musical groups which pulled out shared that, indeed, they did so both because many in their community (largely comprised on LGBT people of color and also immigrants colonists) feel uncomfortable with police presence and also, that ’we were also made aware of Kane Street Synagogue’s public alignment with pro-Israel political positions,’" the email read.
Dardashti’s email did not name the group that she quoted. Kane Street’s leadership declined to comment further.
Of the groups that participated in the service last year, only one responded to inquiries from the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. Reverend Micah Ma of the First Unitarian Congregational Society of Brooklyn, whose choir sang at last year’s service, declined to comment.
The cancellation of Brooklyn Pride’s interfaith service comes as Pride celebrations commence throughout the nation — along with festivities over the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict. In recent years, as queer activism has grown increasingly aligned with anti-Zionism, some Jews in the LGBTQ community have faced exclusion from Pride celebrations.
At San Diego Pride this year, all participating Jewish groups pulled out of the festivities over the headlining performance by R&B singer Kehlani, whom they accused of antisemitism for her pro-Paleostinian stances.
New York City’s Dyke March has also faced scrutiny from Jewish participants who have felt alienated by the march’s anti-Zionist stances. Last year, the march’s annual event was titled "Dykes Against Genocide," which spurred a group of Jewish lesbians to host their own Pride party.
In an interview, Heller said the registration for this year’s Brooklyn Pride interfaith service had only two registrations a week before its scheduled date, while in past years it would have had "at least close to 100" at that point.
He said that he could not speak to individual groups’ issues with Kane Street, saying that it would be "unfair" to those organizations, and attributed the cancellation to a lack of interest.
"It’s very difficult to speculate as to why," Heller said. "I’ll only say that there’s a lot going on all over the country these days, and there are some very disturbing ripples going on, and sadly, at this time, when we really do need to all come together, people are getting afraid."
Past participants in the interfaith Pride service included several choirs as well as Jewish, Christian, Moslem and Zen Buddhist leaders. The list of participants for this year’s interfaith service was not available online after the cancellation.
Heller told JTA that he did not personally have information on the participants, and suggested that Brooklyn Pride could not comment on who the participants would have been due to confidentiality concerns.
In the email to her congregation, Dardashti wrote she was "crushed/offended" by the "discriminatory decision" to cancel the event.
"I was both grateful for the transparency (and that this person had ’replied all’ to the thread) and also crushed/offended by the many assumptions made and the discriminatory decision to cancel without taking time to reach out and inquire or discuss," she wrote.
Dardashti lamented the cancellation and articulated Kane Street’s ties to Israel in an email to the group of clergy and musicians who would have participated in the interfaith service, which she excerpted in her email to congregants.
"I’m saddened that this event has become an example of bridges burned rather than built," she wrote, adding, "I would be glad to share with you — with any of you — about our community; about the deep and complex relationships to Israel our members hold and our broad rejection of the current Israeli administration; about prayers we recite weekly for a cessation of the violence, return of the hostages and salvation for the civilians in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... ; and about the Jewish community more broadly."
Dardashti — who is the founder of a nonprofit aimed at improving discourse about Israel and antisemitism among Jews — told her congregants that she had also shared a recent New York Times
...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... op-ed about how recent attacks have exacerbated the fear that Jews are feeling.
"I explained that Jews are not only being vilified for any association with Israel (as Kane Street was by them in this instance and as is, sadly, not new), but also violent mostly peacefully targeted as a result of that association, and that these extreme recent physical attacks are coming from the anti-Zionists," she wrote.
Heller said Brooklyn Pride hopes to resume the interfaith service next year. He also said he was sorry that this year’s celebration had been canceled so abruptly.
"As the chair of Brooklyn Pride, I want to apologize to all people who have been so supportive to our interfaith over the years. I do want to give words of encouragement to everybody, I don’t want to say especially our Jewish congregation members, but everybody, because we are in a time that is become, for certain reasons, fairly divisive ...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled... ," Heller said.
He continued, "And it’s in those times when we have to, no matter who we are, we have to allow our lights to shine and come together and support each other, because there’s a lot more we need to band together about than we need to bring us apart."
[RedState] As the ICE riots raged in the city of Los Angeles, I wasn’t too far away physically. We live in an LA County suburb.
I also noted that an account called “LAScanner” was apparently calling for ICE agents to be doxed and harassed. The owner of that account was also asking his followers to inform on ICE agents and to tell him when and where ICE raids were taking place so more rioters could show up and harass. That account had a large following. It was an obvious attempt to harass and potentially harm federal officers. That didn’t sit well with others who have the technical ability to find that guy and “out” him. And he was outed. He’s in Texas, and now he’s deleted his account.
Another ICE-hating jerk popped up. Although LAScanner was skating around the edges of calling for violence, this “new guy” hater was actively doing so. His X handle is @Learnedpolitic, and his name, it's being reported, is Benjamin “Benny” France. He is (as of 8 a.m. Pacific time) an active duty Naval Officer and a JAG (Judge Advocate). He’s since deleted his account, or it has been suspended, but he was calling for ICE agents to be “hunted down.
Benny threatening ICE agents didn’t sit well with a lot of guys on X who are active duty or vets and have the ability to “find” people. They found Benny, and it appears he is about to “Find Out.”
Here is a string that sets up “Benny’s” likely exit from active duty.
Benny called SecDef Hegseth a “drunk” and also said that he was incompetent to lead the Department of Defense. Besides taking time out of his work day to post threats against ICE agents, Benny France has called his boss a drunk and incompetent. There should be, and I am guessing will be, consequences for Ensign Benny France.
What is the likely result? I think Benny will be called on the carpet and given a choice to resign his commission or be court-martialed. Nonetheless, his future as a CNN “expert” is likely secure.

Benny called for violence against ICE. He also wants to hunt down all the J6.
His outing was complete including phone numbers, email, current work address, supervisors name and number, job history, resume, and more. You can email your thoughts to him.

Benjamin “Benny” France, as an active duty Naval Officer and a JAG (Judge Advocate) to top it off. Is on record calling for federal agents to be attacked and slandering his 2nd highest level boss, the Sec. Defense.

So what's the usual response to this kind of mopery? Do they give him a dishonorable and send him to civil court or keep him and do a court-martial?

Article 88 of the UCMJ prohibits officers from using "contemptuous words" against various governments officials, including the Secretary of Defense. The officer can be punished "as a court martial directs."
[BEE] GAZA — The tables were turned on the infamous terrorist organization today, with horrified Hamas agreeing to a full and unconditional surrender to Israel if Europe would agree to take Greta Thunberg back.
The well-known left-wing activist was said to be en route to Gaza by sea to make her presence felt in peace negotiations between the two warring sides, leaving Hamas scrambling to do whatever was necessary to stave off her arrival.
"Please, don't let this happen! We will do whatever it takes to keep her away," said Hamas spokesterrorist Abu Muhammed Zahir. "While we have a reputation for perpetrating violent and ruthless acts against our enemies, sending Greta Thunberg here is far beyond any definition of cruel and unusual punishment. We offer Israel our total surrender if Europe agrees to have this wretched harpy turn her ship around and go back to wherever she came from. Thank you, and death to Israel and America."
European officials declined to comment on the details of any negotiations with Hamas but did express strong reluctance to allow Thunberg to return to the continent. "No, that's not an option," said spokeseuropean Jurgen Burgen. "We finally had the opportunity to get her on board a ship bound for international waters. It is our intent to prevent her from ever coming back. We got rid of her. We wish the residents of Gaza the best when Greta makes it to shore. May God be merciful."
At publishing time, Hamas had reportedly not received any response to its desperate pleas to other Arab nations to come defend them from Thunberg.

Onion has been lame for a couple decades now. At it's height is was just a couple giggles by punchy college age boys. Have to have a sense of humor to do satire, and humor requires self awareness.
The Jewish state of Israel has committed yet another genocidal war crime against humanity by sadistically torturing an autistic 22-year-old child aboard an El Al deportation flight on Tuesday. Greta Thunberg, the Swedish climate activist, was "kidnapped" earlier this week after her Gaza-bound resistance yacht was intercepted by Zionist occupational forces. The torture began almost immediately.
Thunberg, who suffers from severe mental anguish on account of being passionate about climate change, was ruthlessly taunted by her militant captors. They offered her water in a plastic bottle; a major contributor to ocean pollution and fossil fuel consumption; as well as a shockingly mediocre sandwich that was also wrapped in earth-killing plastic. Academic experts have described this as a form of psychological torture; akin to mock execution; that is arguably more traumatic than waterboarding due to the existential nature of the climate change threat...
[FinanceYahoo] The latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased 0.1% month over month, below April's 0.2% rise and lower than economists' estimates of a 0.2% monthly gain in prices.
On an annual basis, CPI rose 2.4% in May, a slight uptick from April's 2.3% gain, which marked the lowest yearly increase since February 2021.
On a "core" basis, which excludes volatile food and energy costs, CPI rose 2.8% over the past year in May, matching April. Monthly core prices increased 0.1%, a touch below April's 0.2% gain. Heading into the report, economists had expected core CPI to rise 2.9% year over year and 0.3% month over month.
Declines in car and apparel prices; categories expected to show some of the earliest impacts from tariffs; helped drive a cooler-than-expected core CPI reading last month.

I actually had a distributor say, you know those price hikes we've been warning you about coming in June...never mind. Crazy, huh, a ready made reason to pad margins turned down.
[JustTheNews] CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices once recommended vaccine after official admitted it had no data on simultaneous inoculation, but "our general approach" is to give vaccines at "same time in different limbs."
federal public health advisory panel long dominated by pharmaceutical influence, whose expressed reservations about particular inoculations never stopped it from recommending them, is getting a fresh start under the drug industry's most powerful critic.
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced Monday the removal of all 17 members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, which advises the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, citing "persistent conflicts of interest" that made it "little more than a rubber stamp for any vaccine."
Some of the current members were "last-minute appointees of the Biden administration" whose presence would have kept President Trump from appointing new members until his last year in office, Kennedy wrote in a Wall Street Journal op-ed.
"It has never recommended against a vaccine – even those later withdrawn for safety reasons," like the rotavirus vaccine it greenlit despite half of ACIP members having financial ties to other rotavirus vaccine makers, he said. "It has failed to scrutinize vaccine products given to babies and pregnant women" and meets behind closed doors with other groups.
ACIP unanimously approved adding COVID vaccines to child and adolescent schedules in fall 2022, months after the CDC ignored it when approving a fourth mRNA shot for older people.
The sudden move came a day after medical freedom activist and physician Mary Bowden, who forced the Food and Drug Administration in court to stop demonizing ivermectin for COVID treatment, noted that 11 of the 15 members who put COVID-19 vaccines on the pediatric schedule two years ago were still on the committee as of Sunday.
FDA Commissioner Marty Makary told a reporter Tuesday the "clean sweep" of ACIP, as Kennedy called it, did not involve him and that Makary would defer to FDA Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research Director Vinay Prasad on the composition of its own Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC.)
While Kennedy's move furthers a mainstream media and medicine caricature of the vaccine skeptic – he had already created a page with ACIP's alleged conflicts of interest in March – it doesn't neatly fit with his early months as HHS secretary.
In quick succession last month, Kennedy removed COVID vaccines from the CDC's immunization schedule for healthy children and pregnant women, cancelled a $700 million Moderna bird flu vaccine contract and approved Moderna's new COVID vaccine but only for ages 65 and up and those at risk for "severe" COVID outcomes.
Moderna must complete a randomized controlled trial in healthy Americans ages 50-64 if it wants vaccine approval in that demographic, Prasad said at the time, though COVID vaccine trial victim and activist Brianne Dressen faulted the study design for "heavily limiting patient reported data," which she said means it won't capture severe adverse events.
RECOMMENDED A VACCINE WITH 'NO DATA' ON INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS
Kennedy's op-ed said the CDC "took no significant action" after an HHS inspector general report from 2009 found that 97% of ACIP members had "omissions" on their conflict-of-interest forms.
That was nine years after a House investigation found ACIP and VRBPAC had "weak to nonexistent" enforcement of conflict-of-interest rules, he said. "Committee members regularly participated in deliberations and advocated products in which they had a financial stake" and the CDC gave everyone waivers.
The ACIP clipping drew cheers from some vaccine skeptics, drug industry watchdogs and a veteran chronicler of ACIP and VRBPAC, while horrifying mainstream medical organizations including the vaccine maker-funded American Academy of Pediatrics, which said it will "further endanger the health of the American public, especially children."
Brownstone Institute President Jeffrey Tucker circulated a condensed clip from ACIP's February 21, 2018 meeting that shows advisers unanimously approving a recommendation for an adjuvanted hepatitis B vaccine — containing an ingredient that enhances immune response — despite agency officials being unable to answer some questions.
One official admitted they have "no data" on using that vaccine "with other adjuvanted vaccines" such as for flu and shingles, and another said the agency was unaware of any other market using "multiple adjuvanted vaccines."
"Whilst pre-clinical studies were not done using these vaccines simultaneously, our general approach to immunizations is they should be given, they can be given at the same time in different limbs," another official said.
After approval, an adviser said he had a "slight reservation" about his vote due to the "myocardial infarction [heart attack] signal" from the use of the new adjuvant in the vaccine and said they needed to look at "post-marketing data carefully." The CDC likely wouldn't have that data for more than two years, an official responded.
"All but one ACIP member voted for universal [COVID-19] boosting even for young men with the highest myocarditis risk as late in the pandemic as fall 2023," Emily Kopp, former investigator for nonprofit public health research group U.S. Right to Know, wrote on X. "If you were evaluating on performance, you’d fire them."
That member was Pablo Sanchez, who warned colleagues their recommendation rested on "extremely limited data on children and infants and other individuals" that was also hidden from parents, and they should be more concerned about "potential side effects, especially in young adults and in young adult males."
Former FDA regulatory review officer Jessica Adams, who has long chronicled its advisory committees and criticized the Biden administration's FDA for sidelining its own vaccine leaders and advisers on COVID boosters, recommended Sanchez and other lone voices for ACIP.
She praised former VRBPAC members Cory Meissner, who early warned of vaccine-induced myocarditis in young people, for saying the advisers need to convey to parents COVID's miniscule risk to children, and Michael Kurilla for abstaining from a pediatric authorization vote on the basis that even a successful vaccine would quickly wane for the low-risk group.
'GET OVER THIS POLITICAL STATEMENT'
ACIP and VRBPAC gave a patina of independent review to the genetic-code delivery systems for SARS-CoV-2 spike proteins that officials deemed vaccines, and skeptics became unrelenting targets of ridicule, contempt and punishment by the most powerful figures in America.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, then-director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, famously equated himself with science and told resisters to "get over this political statement" and "save the lives of yourself and your family.” Over 8,400 U.S. military service members were discarded for vaccine refusal and private businesses fired them.
One of the few lawmakers to systematically push back on the narrative was Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., who held a nearly five-hour "second opinion" roundtable with doctors, scientists and medical experts three years ago. He said the CDC, FDA, National Institutes of Health and vaccine makers refused his invitation.
Dr. Robert Malone, mRNA pioneer-turned-critic, emphasized vaccine development was rushed and that mandates ignored adverse events. Dr. Peter McCullough, former vice chief of internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center, estimated 80% of attendees experienced some type of censorship or intimidation for their criticism or skepticism of the vaccines.
[Breitbart] Dutch citizens have begun organising themselves to perform checks along the German border, drawing praise from populist leader Geert Wilders and the ire of establishment politicians.
In the wake of the government collapsing in The Hague last week after coalition partners refused to agree to the strict border controls proposed by Geert Wilders and his Party for Freedom (PVV), a group of Dutch citizens have taken it upon themselves to enforce checks at the border between the Netherlands and Germany over the weekend.
According to the German paper of record Die Welt, Dutchmen clad in high-visibility vests blocked off highway 408 near a reception centre for alleged asylum seekers in Ter Apel, across the border from the German state of Lower Saxony. The impromptu citizen border force of around 12 men reportedly stopped cars and searched trunks for illegals trying to enter the country.
Acting Migration Minister David van Weel said that while “frustration is understandable” and that the “influx of asylum seekers must decrease,” he said that citizens must not take the law into their own hands. “Let the police and military police do their job. Obey the law,” he said.
Populist leader Geert Wilders criticised the People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) politician, branding him a “weakling” who is doing “absolutely nothing” to deal with the illegal migration crisis. “If people are frustrated, it is because the VVD is completely failing them,” Wilders said.
The anti-mass migration politician went on to praise the “fantastic initiative” of the Dutch citizens who took it upon themselves to police the border, saying that it “should happen everywhere at the border”. Wilders said that if the government refuses to deploy the military to the border, then the people “will have to do it ourselves”, adding that he would personally “like to participate next time!”
Meanwhile, the neo-liberal VVD party, which previously led the Dutch government under former PM and now NATO Chief Mark Rutte, before it collapsed in 2023 over migration, said on Monday that it will no longer cooperate with Wilders’ party.
Rutte’s replacement, Turkish-born Dilan Yesilgöz said that her supposedly centre-right party will instead seek to partner with the GroenLinks–PvdA (GreenLeft–Labour) alliance led by EU Green New Deal architect Frans Timmermans in the upcoming snap election.
The election was triggered after Wilders announced that his Party for Freedom would leave the coalition government with the Farmer–Citizen Movement (BBB) party, the New Social Contract (NCC), and the VVD over failures to implement the strict migration controls his party ran on in the 2023 elections.
Wilders, who accepted a kingmaker role after the other parties refused to back him for prime minister, despite his party coming in first place in the last elections, accused the VVD and Yesilgöz of moving to “destroy the Netherlands together with the left.”
“That means many more asylum seekers and Islam. But the voter decides. So make the PVV the largest party so that no one can ignore us,” he said.
However, the decision by the VVD to side with Timmermans and the left may make it difficult for Wilders to return to government, with current polling putting him and his allies well short of the necessary 76 in the House of Representatives needed to form a government without the VVD.
[Defending The Republic] Thank God for Elon Musk who purchased Twitter/X and opened it up to all for free speech. It is not always perfect, but it is perfect enough.
This week, without the reporting, videos, photos and interviews done by independent reporters and private citizens, who posted on Twitter/X, we might all be convinced that there was only a small peaceful protest in LA for the past four days. We might believe that Governor Newsome and Mayor Bass had everything under control. We might think that the people ICE arrested are law-abiding neighbors and fellow citizens.
That is what ALL elected Democrats are saying and what ALL Fake News outlets are repeating ... over and over. They are ALL lies.
Americans have been lied to often and expertly over the past decade. We have been lied to about Covid-CCP, President Trump's crimes, the stolen election, January 6, what was happening at the border and Biden’s fitness in office.

[Malone News] The National Institutes of Health emerged from the Covid era as among the most disreputable of all the agencies, a partner with the CDC. It was the home of Anthony Fauci, plus his wife, who was in charge of ethics.
Pausing for derisive laughter...
Moving on, the agency has a $47 billion budget and shared patents with Pharma companies that themselves are on the rocks due to grim results of countless drugs, among them the magic Covid shot that proved ineffective and dangerous.
There is poetry in how the scholar called a "fringe epidemiologist" by the previous agency heads is now in charge. His name is Jayanta Bhattacharya, previously a quietly productive professor at Stanford University with specializations in medical services and economics. He joined the ranks of the dissidents of lockdowns, masks, and vaccine mandates, and was smeared the world over for it.
Fast forward five years and he is now charged with fixing up the agency that smeared him, and restoring trust. His actions in the first weeks and months have been an inspiration. He has been transparent, scrupulous, principled, and unbelievably hard-working. Yes, he has canceled contracts (among with routine torture of animals) and been part of reductions in employment (consistent with normal budgetary concerns).
By way of background, please understand that career civil servants have long been socialized with a habit backed by plenty of evidence. That habit is to ignore all political appointees. They are temporary, but the staff, which possess all institutional knowledge, persists over many elections. That’s the presumption because that’s how it has always been.

Tel Aviv University researchers say they have found that a type of white blood cell, usually known for fighting infection, might help breast tumors grow and spread.
The findings about neutrophils, a white blood cell type primarily known for its protective role as an immune cell, could help scientists treat breast cancer by using such cells not only as a warning sign but also as a potential treatment target for late-stage breast cancer.
"It’s a new way of thinking about how the immune system can both fight and fuel cancer," Dr. Merav Cohen, of the Department of Clinical Microbiology and Immunology at the Gray Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences, told The Times of Israel by telephone.
[Breitbart] As anti-ICE protests spread across the country, protesters in Atlanta, Georgia, were seen being tear-gassed after they reportedly threw fireworks at police officers.
WSB-TV 2 Atlanta reported that "hundreds" of protesters gathered for a protest hosted by the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) along Buford Highway.
PSL hosted the protest to show support for the ongoing riots in Los Angeles that have involved demonstrators looting businesses, setting fire to and vandalizing Waymo self-driving vehicles, and tearing up sidewalks and throwing rocks at law enforcement officials over an overpass.
Per the outlet, "by the end of the night, there was a heavy police presence," and around 9:30 p.m., after police directed protesters to go home, some people "began to fight back":
But as police told the crowd to go home around 9:30 p.m., the mood changed, and some protesters began to fight back.
Video captured by our Channel 2 Action News photographer showed people throwing fireworks at law enforcement.
That’s when officers began arresting people. Police also used tear gas to help disperse the crowd.
Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:
[ColonelCassad] 1. A curfew has been officially imposed in Los Angeles to suppress the unrest. Going outside in the "city of freedom" is prohibited from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The police have already announced that they will detain anyone caught on the streets during this time.
2. Troops will remain in Los Angeles for 2 months to ensure the suppression of unrest. The fact that the state governor has filed a lawsuit against Trump does not frighten the Trump administration. In this case, they are going to refer to a law from the early 19th century, which provides some grounds for the introduction of troops.
3. It is worth noting that the national guard will also be deployed in key points of the state in Texas to prevent the escalation of unrest by migrants and those who support them.
4. Trump believes that someone is paying for and organizing the unrest. A simple observation, given the behavior of the Democrats and their media. Everything is on the surface there.
5. Deportations will continue. The US Immigration Service intends to strictly and strictly implement Trump's order to deport large groups of Mexicans and other illegal Latinos from the United States.
P.S. And to top it all off. Musk today publicly apologized for "some of his statements" on social networks.

[ZERO] The House Republican reconciliation bill, currently at the Senate, would, if passed and signed by President Trump, reduce federal spending on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) by $300 billion through 2034.
Goldman Sachs' retail desk found that SNAP dependency across major retail chains is very alarming and clear, with Dollar General (DG) and Dollar Tree (DLTR) most exposed if SNAP reductions are seen.
SNAP-linked exposure to sub-$70K income households hits 5.2% at DG, 3.5% at DLTR—compared to just .4% at Sprouts (SFM). Even Walmart (WMT) isn't safe, with a 3% exposure to SNAP.
"Based on household income profiles and average county exposures, we found that DG and DLTR have the highest exposure to SNAP consumers relative to the other companies, with BJ and SFM having the smallest exposure," Goldman analysts, led by Kate McShane, wrote in a note on Tuesday.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Horrified locals threw themselves in front of Immigration and Customs Enforcement vans which had been loaded with dozens of illegal migrants picked up in a raid on a meat packing plant.
ICE agents stormed Glenn Valley Foods processing plant in Omaha, Nebraska on Tuesday and arrested up to 80 illegal immigrants working under fake IDs.
Shocking footage emerged on Tuesday of the moment three bystanders who had gathered outside the manufacturing plant blocked the path of a tinted black van.
Even as the agent behind the wheel of the car began driving toward them, the trio refused to move out of the way, clutching their phones to their chests as they filmed the moment the van ploughed them down.
As horrified bystanders shouted and pleaded, the trio jumped onto the bonnet of the van, which abruptly came to a halt, tossing them off the hood.
'You f***ing ran me over,' one of the men said to the agent as he stepped out of the car, in the video captured by Flatwater Free Press.
Moments later, the agent jumped behind the wheel again and sped off at speed, with at least one woman still stuck on the front of the car.
'You're not taking those people,' a bystander shouted as an agent approached the woman who moments earlier was on the car.
Others used rocks and sticks in an effort to break the back window of the car and free the people who were detained inside the car.
One ICE officer approached a boy who was trying to break into the car and roughly shoved him to the ground, telling him to 'get back.'
When the boy got to his feet again, he spat on the agent.
It's understood at least three 15-passenger vans were loaded with illegal migrants, while others were escorted onto a bus with boarded up windows.
The cars were joined by a law enforcement escort as they left the plant.
Gary Rohwer, owner and CEO of Glenn Valley Foods, told local media outlet WOWT that federal agents told him 97 employees were using false IDs.
He said his company had used e-Verify during the hiring process and that he was unaware that any of his staff were working in the United States illegally.
'They're good, hardworking, honest,' he said. 'They're part of our family.'
Rohwer said he was not aware of the raid beforehand and that ICE agents began screening his staff.
'They had a list of 97 employees that they screened. If they're okay then they'll be coming back to work. If they're not okay, they won't be back.'
According to witnesses, staff were being separated into two groups within the plant - those who could verify their legal working status and those who couldn't.
Relatives of workers reportedly rushed to the scene, some trying to bring documentation for their loved ones.
ICE spokesperson Tanya Roman confirmed that agents 'executed a federal search warrant at Glenn Valley Foods, today, based on an ongoing criminal investigation into the large-scale employment of aliens without authorization to work in the United States.'
She said despite reporting otherwise, the Glenn Valley Foods raid was the only operation in the Omaha region to take place on Tuesday.
Mayor John Ewing Jr., who only officially took office on Monday, said he and his team were 'trying to get to the bottom of what happened today.
'We know that actions like these affect families. My administration is working with community groups to understand the scale of need,' the mayor said.
'We do not want people to be so afraid they stop reporting crimes. Our Omaha Police Department will respond to 911 calls and not ask about legal status.'
Ewing reiterated that Ohama police officers 'do not and will not seek individuals to check their legal status.'
Several small protests sprung up around Omaha in the wake of the raids on Tuesday, following a similar pattern to the timeline of demonstrations in Los Angeles.
Protesters gathered to condemn raids across Downtown LA on Friday, but community anger spiraled throughout the weekend and led to violent riots. President Trump sent in about 700 Marines and a total of 4,100 National Guard troops to regain control of the crisis, sparking fury from state Democrats and community leaders. The violence stretched into a fifth day on Tuesday after rioters torched vehicles, looted buildings and attacked authorities.

[American Thinker] On a recent podcast episode, Joe Rogan and his guest Cody Tucker found themselves in a discussion that was clearly skeptical of the atheistic consensus among prominent thinkers of the past few generations.
That atheistic consensus generally states that the following is true. There was obviously once a Great Nothingness that suddenly became our universe and the existence of everything within it -- and all of this happened for no reason whatsoever.
Rogan asks a question that every person has likely asked themselves countless times, "wouldn’t it be crazy if there wasn’t something at some point in time? That seems even crazier than [to think] there has always been something."
He's not wrong.
To believe that nothing suddenly became everything for no reason whatsoever is an act of pure faith based upon no observable data. What’s more, the proclamation itself an act of heresy for scientific atheists.
The First Law of Thermodynamics insists that energy can be neither created nor destroyed. And yet, the idea that energy was once created from nothing is presumed by the scientific consensus to have occurred with a singular event called The Big Bang.
Simply put, this is the description of a miracle. Not only should it have not happened, but it scientifically cannot have happened at all. And yet the belief that this one event occurred is the foundation of countless atheists’ faith.

Science is indeed never settled and thus is not really concerned with religion. Science depends on falsifiability and is indeed ritualized amd institutionalized doubt.
Religion and science don't really mix and science used to prove the existence or non-existence of a god is pseudoscience since it will promote last truths, not temporary solutions subject to falsification.
As for morality, in the last 100 years alone humanity has seen hell on earth built in the name of one god, in the name of many gods and in the name of no god.

To continue in atheism, I would need to believe that nothing produces everything, non-life produces life, randomness produces fine-tuning, chaos produces information, unconsciousness produces consciousness, and non-reason produces reason. I simply didn’t have that much faith.
[Gateway] Inside a concrete schoolhouse that once echoed with children’s laughter, an elderly woman sits against painted yellow walls, tears streaming down her weathered face. Her family members can’t walk, she explains through sobs to the American missionary-soldier kneeling beside her. They need help evacuating before the bombs start falling again.
This heartbreaking scene unfolded yesterday in southern Shan State, Myanmar, as thousands of civilians fled their homes after Burma Army forces launched a systematic assault on villages east of Pekhon Lake. Leading the rescue efforts is retired U.S. Army Major David Eubank, founder of Free Burma Rangers, whose teams of American/international volunteers and ethnic resistance fighters fare risking their lives to evacuate the wounded and displaced.
Outside the school, two trucks full of Rangers stand ready—a mix of American veterans, second-generation missionaries, and local ethnic graduates of ranger training, acting as translators. These vehicles will evacuate as many wounded as possible, even if it means some Rangers must walk out on foot. It’s this kind of sacrificial commitment that defines the organization Eubank founded in 1997 after tribal leaders specifically requested "a warrior following Jesus" to help their people.
One of the primary rules of FBR is "A Ranger cannot run if the people he is helping cannot run."

[Gateway] ICE conducted raids at multiple businesses in Omaha, Nebraska, on Tuesday.
Illegals scattered after federal agents descended on the Glenn Valley Foods plant.
Over 100 illegals working at Glenn Valley Foods were reportedly using fraudulent documents and fake IDs.

Last month a judge ordered McIver to surrender her firearms and said she cannot travel outside of the US.

This indictment has a maximum penalty of 8 years for Count One, an additional maximum penalty of 8 years for Count Two, and a maximum penalty of 1 year in prison for Count Three.
As I have stated in the past, it is my Constitutional obligation as the Chief Federal Law Enforcement Officer for New Jersey to ensure that our federal partners are protected when executing their duties. [Regnum] To destabilize the situation in the CIS countries, the leaders of international terrorists are using people from Central Asia fighting on the side of Ukraine. This was reported on June 10 by the head of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia, Alexander Bortnikov.
“In order to destabilize the situation in the Commonwealth countries, the leaders of the MTO are using people from Central Asian countries who are taking part in military operations on the side of the Kiev regime,” says Bortnikov’s statement, which was read out by the head of the operational information and international relations service of the Russian FSB, Alexei Komkov, at a meeting of the CIS anti-terrorist structures.
The greeting also states that Western countries are using psychological operations units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to incite interethnic conflicts in the CIS.
In his address, Bortnikov noted that last year, security forces of the CIS countries prevented 550 terrorist and extremist crimes, identified over 5.5 thousand terrorists, extremists and mercenaries. At the same time, over 1.5 thousand persons of this category were brought to criminal responsibility.
On February 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin reported that the number of terrorist crimes in Russia has increased and most of them are planned by Ukrainian special services. In this regard, the Russian leader called on the FSB, under the coordination of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC), to use available forces and means as effectively as possible and pay special attention to preventive measures, increasing the anti-terrorist protection of military and industrial facilities, life support systems, public facilities, as well as energy and transport infrastructure.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, over the past year, 2024, 190 terrorist attacks were prevented in Russia, six of which were prepared by members of the “Maniacs Cult of Killers” and “Columbine” movements (both are terrorist organizations banned in the Russian Federation) in educational institutions and places of mass gatherings.
[Regnum] On June 10, the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia published a video of the detention and interrogation of a Russian who, on the instructions of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), was preparing a terrorist attack in the Krasnodar Territory.
These videos show FSB officers detaining a man and handcuffing him.
During interrogation, the detainee said that in January 2025, an SBU officer contacted him through one of the messengers, who called himself Vladislav, after which the man began to receive tasks from him and remuneration for completing them.
“At the end of March 2025, he sent me photographs and coordinates of the location of a cache containing explosives that I was supposed to pick up to remotely detonate an energy infrastructure facility in the city of Novorossiysk,” he said.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, earlier on June 10, the FSB detained a Russian who was preparing a terrorist attack in Kuban on orders from the SBU. It was noted that the man was also collecting data on the location of Black Sea Fleet ships for the Kiev regime.
On the morning of May 9, FSB officers detained a local resident in the Svatovsky district of the Luhansk People's Republic who was transmitting information about the location of Russian troops to the SBU. A criminal case was opened against the detainee under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Espionage").

Closed societies often turn on those who threaten their image to the outside, even when the threat comes from an innocent who was violated by an honoured leader of the community. ItKs not specific to the Haredi community.
[REGNUM] Israeli society is facing a new threat, this time one that has nothing to do with Iran or other members of the “axis of resistance.”
On June 3, the Knesset held a high-profile hearing on “ritual abuse” of minors by unnamed ultra-Orthodox sects.
According to published information, the mass corruption was allegedly systematic. Many famous figures, whose names are not in a hurry to be revealed to the press, were involved in the sensitive scandal.
Moreover, the incident brought to the fore the deepening differences between the various political camps in Israel, while simultaneously leaving those in power with the temptation to use the plausible pretext of “tightening the screws” against opponents among the zealots of the faith.
STRANGE RITUALS
The main driver of the scandal is activist Yael Ariel, who calls herself “a victim of systematic violence on religious grounds.”
According to Ariel's own statements, she was sexually abused by unnamed cult members for 15 years, which prompted her to fight for the scandal to be made public. Later, other victims with similar stories joined her.
The topic itself is not new for Israel – rumors of systematic violence with religious overtones in closed ultra-conservative institutions have been circulating around the country for decades.
The latest surge of attention to the topic occurred last April, when the popular Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom published a major investigation into cases of rape of minors in Orthodox communities in Israel.
Moreover, judging by some passages cited in the article, it could be about some centralized movement whose adherents operate throughout the country. However, at that time the plot, apparently, went unnoticed.
They returned to it only two months later, at the instigation of MK Pnina Tamano-Shata (Israel Defense Coalition), who organized public hearings. And this time, the victims' appeals apparently reached the right ears.
Almost all major media outlets in the country wrote about the "sectarian outrage" the very next day, especially since the victims of violence this time did not skimp on details. According to them, not only marginal religious fanatics but also representatives of the secular world - doctors, teachers, police officers - participated in the rituals of raping minors.
“Former and current Knesset members” were also mentioned, although they were all referred to anonymously and without making any direct accusations.
However, law enforcement officials received a portion of criticism for their inaction and unwillingness to counteract the sectarians, among whom there are allegedly many influential figures.
The latter, however, was clearly thrown out of emotion: the representatives of the special services present at the meeting assured that the case had long been in motion and the testimony of the victims was “being verified at the highest level.” And the non-public nature of the work was dictated by the desire not to frighten the key figures.
However, if even half of what was said at the hearings turns out to be true and the details of the case are made public, the scandal will become one of the largest in the country in the last few decades.
MEN IN BLACK
The scandal with the sectarians fits well with another line of division within the country - the deterioration of relations between the ruling coalition and the ultra-Orthodox.
Benjamin Netanyahu's government is continuing its efforts to replenish the army's operational reserves by recruiting adherents of conservative religious movements (the so-called "haredim", who are currently exempt from conscription) and thereby increase the army's operational capabilities.
The conservative wing is mostly against it. Even though the Likud party, led by the Prime Minister (the main developer of the initiative), has significantly softened the letter of the proposed law.
Thus, the recruitment quota was reduced to 4.8 thousand people per year (versus 5.5 thousand in the original version); the authorities also proposed making it fixed, rather than “indexed” from year to year. A significant number of concessions were provided for conservative recruits.
However, even with this formulation of the question, the initiative is being met with hostility. Netanyahu's former allies - in particular, the Sephardic Shas party led by Aryeh Deri - are threatening to achieve the dissolution of the Knesset, and at the same time to break up the ruling coalition in the event that the "Haredi law" is put into effect.
SWORD OF DAMOCLES
Although the Haredi rights advocates among the MKs formally have no ties to the sectarians involved in the scandal (and, moreover, have strongly condemned any violence against minors, promising to punish the perpetrators), the scandal came at a very inopportune time for them.
The reason for this is the mysterious “Knesset list,” which allegedly contains information about politicians involved in sexual scandals and which is being touted by some sensation-hungry mass media.
It may well become a convenient tool for blackmailing conservatives - not so much because of the latter's guilt, but out of fear of inevitable reputational losses. Especially since Israeli society in recent years has reacted extremely painfully to any scandals in which clergy are involved, and it will be easy to bring it to the necessary emotions.
Even if the accusations ultimately turn out to be false, the religious parties will spend time defending their honor, giving their opponents the opportunity to complete their planned reforms. The prime minister's entourage is well aware of this.
However, Netanyahu's supporters are unlikely to turn this scandal into a permanent tool of pressure on the conservative wing.
Moreover, the destabilized camp of the Orthodox will inevitably pull along with it the ultra-right “hawks” – Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich – without whose support the ruling coalition will find itself on the brink of legitimacy.
And this is fraught with new early elections, which the growing opposition will not fail to take advantage of.
Moreover, the split along religious lines in itself is a serious challenge for Israel.
The disruption of the balance between the Orthodox and moderate Jews threatens the rapid collapse of the country's established system of political balancers, which ensures that the interests of the main strata of society are taken into account and, as a result, stability in the face of external and internal challenges.
Leave the increasingly powerful opponents in the saddle or try to break the established balance on their own and at the risk - in the context of the confrontation with Iran, when any short-sighted decision could make the country more vulnerable?
For Netanyahu's cabinet, the question remains largely rhetorical.
[NAHARNET] After a meeting with French envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned "the occasional attacks on UNIFIL patrols", calling them "unjustified and unacceptable".
There have been several confrontations between people in south Leb ...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. Only one of those statements is an exaggeration.... , where Hezbollah holds sway, and U.N. peacekeepers in recent weeks.
Confrontations are typically defused by the Lebanese army and rarely escalate.
In December 2022, an Irish peacekeeper was killed in a shooting at a U.N. armored vehicle in the south. Hezbollah surrendered a man accused of the crime, but he was released around a year later.
The November ceasefire agreement, which sought to end over a year of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, states that only Lebanese troops and U.N. peacekeepers may be deployed in the country's south.
Israel is supposed to have fully withdrawn its troops from Lebanon according to the deal, but has remained in five positions it deems strategic and has repeatedly bombed the country.
On Tuesday, United Nations ...boodling on the grand scale... peacekeepers said rock-throwing individuals confronted them during a patrol in south Lebanon, calling repeated targeting of their troops "unacceptable".
The U.N. Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL), deployed since 1978 to separate Lebanon and Israel, sits on a five-member committee to supervise the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.
In a statement, UNIFIL said peacekeepers conducting "a planned patrol" coordinated with the Lebanese army were "confronted by a group of individuals in civilian clothing in the vicinity of Hallusiyeh, in southern Lebanon".
"The group attempted to obstruct the patrol using aggressive means, including throwing stones at the peacekeepers," the statement read, adding that "one peacekeeper was struck" but no injuries were reported.
The situation was defused when the Lebanese army intervened, allowing the peacekeeping force to continue its patrol.
UNIFIL front man Andrea Tenenti told AFP a Finnish soldier was slapped during the confrontation. The video of a man slapping the soldier circulated Tuesday on social media.
A witness, who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the situation, said an altercation ensued between locals and the Lebanese army, who were searching for the man who slapped the peacekeeper.

[NAHARNET] The United Nations ...an organization which on balance has done more bad than good, with the good not done well and the bad done thoroughly... Interim Force in Leb ...home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade.... (UNIFIL) on Tuesday said the continued attacks on its troops are ''unacceptable,'' after a patrol was attacked by residents and a peacekeeper was slapped near the southern town of al-Hallousiyeh.
Noting that the patrol had been coordinated with the Lebanese Army, UNIFIL stressed that freedom of movement is an essential condition for UNIFIL's mandate and added that it has the right to move with or without Lebanese Army troops.
It accordingly called on Lebanese authorities to take all necessary measures to guarantee that U.N. peacekeepers perform their missions without obstacles or threats.
The National News Agency had reported that ''young men intercepted the patrol because it was not accompanied by the Lebanese Army, which escalated into a verbal clash and a fistfight between the two sides.''
''Lebanese Army troops later intervened and pacified the situation, prompting the UNIFIL patrol to leave the area and return to where it came from,'' NNA added.
Such incidents have increased in recent weeks, with residents insisting that any UNIFIL patrol should be accompanied by Lebanese Army troops.
Hezbollah supporters in Lebanon frequently accuse the U.N. mission -- which was created to oversee the withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon after Israel's 1978 invasion -- of collusion with Israel. Israel meanwhile accuses the peacekeepers of turning a blind eye to alleged Hezbollah military activities in southern Lebanon.
The incidents come amid unconfirmed reports that the U.S. and Israel are mulling to end the work of the U.N. force in south Lebanon through a U.S. veto against extending its mandate at the U.N. Security Council.

Suspected armed Fulani ... a peculiarly brutal tribe of Moslem herdsmen infesting Mali, Niger, Nigeria, and probably other places that are light on law and order and heavy on tribal identity... herdsmen have resumed attacks in Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State, killing at least three people in Mgbuji autonomous community, SaharaReporters has learnt.
Another person is still missing after the attack, which occurred on Monday, June 9, 2025.
According to community sources, the victims were farmers who were attacked in their farms.
A community leader, Ogenyi Samuel, confirmed the incident, lamenting that the community is tired and despondent due to the attacks and killings.
"We are tired and despondent. The government only mobilises security agents after every attack to collect corpses, but they don't do anything to prevent the attacks or engage the assailants," Samuel told SaharaReporters.
Another community leader, who spoke on condition of anonymity, corroborated the attack, stating that three corpses had been recovered and deposited in the morgue.
He also mentioned that one person is missing, and a search party has been launched.
The community leader expressed frustration, saying, "Our people are already tired and despondent because you don't know when the assailants will come. It's like a guerrilla war now. We have a large farm concentration, and when you think you have secured one side, the assailants will launch an attack through another area."
According to him, several people would have been killed if the gunshots had penetrated their bodies.
He said, "It is true that three people were killed yesterday, being Monday, in Mgbuji. The victims went to their farms and were attacked and killed. One person is still missing as we speak. A search party has been launched since last night. Three corpses have been recovered and are already deposited in the morgue.
"Among those killed is one man called Isaiah in Otu-Mgbuji. I don't know the names of the other two, but one is the son of Emmanuel Ogbodo. Last Friday, the herders had attacked another person in the same farm, although he escaped, they took his cycle of violence. His escape was just a miracle because they had already caught and macheted him.
"Since the government promised to send 150 personnel comprising the military, police, DSS, Air Force, and Civil Defence to the farm to be combing the area after the women protested in March, about three months now, nobody has gone to that place. The herdsmen are still occupying the settlements and launching attacks from there on the farmers."
According to the source, "Our local government chairman, Mr. Obiora Obeagu, is also not helping the matter. The soldiers and coppers that were already in Eha-Amufu, who accepted that they would be combing the bushes periodically, the Council Chairman is not helping them by giving them fuel to go there. The people are tired, and they have resigned their fate to God.
"What is now happening is that after the people have been killed, the government will start mobilising security personnel to go and carry their corpses. After the killings, the job of the security will be to go and carry the corpses. Since the women protested, the attack hasn't stopped, but this is the first time the herders will be killing people after the protest. They have been attacking people and dispossessing them of their belongings," the source narrated.
The recent attack is coming barely three months after women from seven autonomous communities in Eha-Amufu protested against incessant attacks by Fulani herdsmen, which have resulted in the killings of hundreds of farmers and raping of women since 2021.
According to reports, at least 152 persons have been killed by Fulani herdsmen in Eha-Amufu between 2021 and March 2025. Over 49 kidnapped cases have also been recorded, with about 20 persons still missing from several attacks.
The community leaders have called on the government to take concrete actions to prevent further attacks and protect the lives of the people.
Efforts to reach the Council Chairman, Obiora Obeagu, for comment on the recent attack were unsuccessful. He did not answer calls, and a text message sent to him remained unresponded to, even after he had read it.
Similarly, the Enugu State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement on the incident. The Command's spokesperson, SP Daniel Ndukwe, was unreachable, as he did not take calls or respond to a text message seeking his reaction.

[PostMillennium] “We won a lot of battles out of those forts. It’s no time to change. And I’m superstitious, you know, I like to keep it going, right? I’m very superstitious."
Speaking at a ceremony marking the US Army’s 250th anniversary, President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that his administration will resore the original names of seven military bases that had previously honored Confederate leaders.
“For a little breaking news, we are also going to be restoring the names to Fort Pickett, Fort Hood, Fort Gordon, Fort Rucker, Fort Polk, Fort AP Hill and Fort Robert E Lee,” Trump said during remarks delivered at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
The bases were renamed under the Biden administration in 2023, following a recommendation from a naming commission. Fort Bragg, for example—one of the most prominent installations in the country—was renamed Fort Liberty at the time.
“We won a lot of battles out of those forts. It’s no time to change. And I’m superstitious, you know, I like to keep it going, right? I’m very superstitious,” Trump said. “We want to keep it going. So that’s a big story.”
In February, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth changed the name of Fort Liberty back to Fort Bragg.
"Pursuant to the authority of the Secretary of Defense, Title 10, United States code section 113, I direct the Army to change the name of Fort Liberty, North Carolina to Fort Bragg, North Carolina," Hegseth said, announcing the change. "That's right, Bragg is back."
The original name of the fort—Fort Bragg—was changed to Fort Liberty in June 2023. It had been named after Confederate General Braxton Bragg. Now, the Department of Defense, alongside Pete Hegseth, is changing the name again, this time in honor of Pfc. Roland L. Bragg, a World War II soldier recognized for his bravery at the Battle of the Bulge. According to a DoD press release, Bragg received both the Silver Star and Purple Heart for his actions during the war.
The initial name change followed recommendations made by a congressional commission in 2021, which was established to identify and rename U.S. military properties linked to Confederate figures. Fort Bragg was one of nine bases included in the commission’s list, according to NBC News.

[NAHARNET] Western and United Nations ...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks... diplomats dismissed as rumors claims that the U.N. Interim Force in Leb ...home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade.... (UNIFIL) was pulling out of the country, Saudi Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula, largely made up of sand and oil rigs. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual haj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Formerly dictatorial and steeped in Olde Tyme Religion, deferring to Salafist holy men on all issues, it has now done a 180 and is making a serious effort to modernize, so as not to be left in the sand by its Gulf Arab neighbors. The holy men have been shoved to the background and the nation is now still dictatorial but somewhat rational. That doesn't make them trustworthy, but it's a start... 's Asharq al-Awsat newspaper has reported.
The Lebanese government is expected to request the extension of the peacekeeping forces' mandate that expires in August.
A U.S. State Department spokesperson told Asharq al-Awsat that the reports about the withdrawal are ''inaccurate''. He did not elaborate further.
UNIFIL has been deployed in southern Lebanon since March 1978. Some amendments to its mandate were introduced after the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982 and again after the July 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah.
Debate rages every year over its duties as the deadline for renewing its mission approaches. Some countries have sought to grant the force more powers, which would put it at odds with Hezbollah that holds sway in the areas of its deployment.
Hezbollah was severely weakened after last year's war with Israel and the ensuing ceasefire agreement had demanded that the Iran-backed party remove its weapons from the South.
UNIFIL forces are deployed south of the Litani River and along the border with Israel. It boasts over 10,000 soldiers from some 50 countries, as well as 800 civilian employees.
UNIFIL spokesperson Andrea Tenenti told Asharq al-Awsat that the forces' greatest challenge is the lack of a long-term political solution between Lebanon and Israel.
UNIFIL continues to encourage the parties to renew their commitment to fully implementing U.N. Security Council resolution 1701 and taking tangible steps to address pending issues related to it, including steps that would lead to a permanent ceasefire, he added.

During the years on the front line, all sorts of things happened, the soldier recalls, and he often had to work at the limit of human capabilities. But one day remained in Volga's memory forever.
"I remember we were in position. Suddenly there were deafening bangs, and then we were covered. From the sound it was immediately clear that the "Hymars" was working," tells medic.
Andrey understood that it was necessary at all costs to drag all the injured away before the second landing and provide them with first aid. Those who could move independently helped the seriously wounded. In just fifteen minutes, more than 40 people were taken away from the repeated fire.

[Regnum] US President Donald Trump is considering using the Insurrection Act of 1807 to suppress protests in Los Angeles. This is reported by the Axios portal.
“Trump is closer than ever to invoking the Insurrection Act, driven by a desire for power unconstrained by governors, generals and other factors that constrained him in 2020,” the publication says.
The outlet points out that the president has already subordinated California's National Guard to federal authority, bypassing the state's consent, which violates established practice. In addition, Axios emphasizes that Trump has openly demonstrated a willingness and even determination to enforce the law, calling protesters rioters in a statement on Monday.
As the portal notes, the Insurrection Act of 1807 allows the use of US troops to suppress domestic unrest and is one of the most emergency powers available to a sitting president.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, protests against raids to identify illegal immigrants in California last week turned into riots. On June 8, Trump announced that he had sent the National Guard to Los Angeles to restore order. That same day, the Pentagon announced that it would send 700 Marines to the city.
Reuters noted that Trump deployed the National Guard to California without consulting with the state's governor, Gavin Newsom. The governor is against the decision, saying the president took the step not to ensure security, but to "satisfy a dangerous ego."
On June 9, the American leader said that sending the National Guard to Los Angeles saved the city from total destruction. He also accused the Governor of California and the Mayor of Los Angeles Karen Bass of lying for saying that the protests were peaceful.
[Regnum] US President Donald Trump said on June 10 that he would withdraw the National Guard from California, sent there because of the unrest, only when the situation in the state becomes safe.
“Until it’s no longer dangerous… When it’s safe, they’ll leave,” he answered journalists’ questions about the withdrawal of security forces.

[X] Whoa! This is a really, really, really big deal. And incidentally completely undermines that little conclave later this month organized by France, Britain, and those other countries to lay out the path to a Palestinian state without consulting Israel.
U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee:
Washington no longer fully supports the creation of an independent Palestinian state.
If a Palestinian state is formed, it might be located elsewhere in the region—not in the West Bank.
Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin is in italics.
[ColonelCassad] The night strike on June 10 on Kiev was a logical continuation of a whole series of massive attacks that in recent days have covered not only the capital, but also most of the regions of Ukraine.
The first wave of Geraniums and decoy drones was launched on the evening of June 9 and soon grew into a full-fledged complex operation that lasted most of the night. A significant number of modernized Geraniums and Iskander OTRK missiles were used in the strike on Kiev. The Ukrainian Air Force air defense acted atypically sluggishly - the missiles heading for the Zhulyany airport passed without interference, as did a significant number of drones that reached their targets within the city.
According to preliminary data, fuel tanks and warehouses in the area of the Zhulyany airport were hit, and the air defense systems positions were probably also hit. Apparently, another strike was carried out on the industrial complex of the Artem plant, one of the key points of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex. As in previous cases, damage from falling debris from downed drones was noted: the facades and roofs of civilian buildings were damaged.
The mechanics of the strikes fully confirm the line of official statements of the Russian Ministry of Defense: the targets remain exclusively military and industrial infrastructure facilities. It is curious that against the backdrop of this strike, strange statements are also recorded that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have begun to save on anti-aircraft missiles. According to rumors, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrsky, has banned the use of anti-aircraft missiles against drones, concentrating the remaining ammunition on intercepting missiles. If this information is confirmed, this will be another sign of the growing pressure on Ukraine's air defense and its wear and tear with the help of much cheaper drones.
This, in turn, confirms that the Russian military industry is currently on the rise: 200 to 300 drones are launched in Ukraine per day, with a peak of up to 450. Western military analysts predict that by the end of August, Russia will reach an average daily rate of 500 drones. And this is not the limit. The peak of serial production is ahead.
The characteristics of the drones are also changing. If the Gerani drone of 2022 were actually copies of the Iranian Shahed 136, then the 2025 version is a completely different generation.
The speed and power of the warhead have been increased, maneuverability and noise immunity of communication channels have been improved. All this directly affects the accuracy and stability of operation. The night strike on Kiev clearly demonstrated this: the hits are clear, the strikes are extremely accurate.
And most importantly, this is not the end. The attacks from June 6 to 10 only marked the beginning of a new wave. In the coming days, an equally intense series of combined strikes is expected, using Kinzhal, Iskander, Onyx and X-series cruise missiles, in combination with massive drone attacks. Apparently, this time Russia's response will not be limited to a single action. It will be systemic — and, judging by the strikes on June 10, quite noticeable for Ukraine.

Let us recall that, according to the General Staff, over the past 24 hours, the Russian army lost 960 soldiers.
At least six men have been killed, and three women injured in a kaboom suspected to have been caused by an improvised bomb (IED), allegedly planted by the newly emerged Lakurawa terrorist group

Their activities are concentrated in five LGAs of Sokoto state, namely: Tangaza, Gudu, Illela, Binji, and Silame. during the Sallah Celebration in Sokoto State.
It was gathered that the blast occurred in Gwabro village, located in the Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State, sparking renewed fears over the growing boldness of the group.
A local source who spoke on the incident said the tragic event unfolded on Sunday afternoon during Eid-el-Kabir festivities.
He explained that it is customary during the celebration for residents, especially young people, to travel between nearby villages to visit relatives and pay respects.
It was during one of the traditional visits that the victims encountered the bomb.
According to him, "They were simply unfortunate. These innocent victims were walking from Gwabro to the nearby Zurmuku community when they stumbled upon the device. Perhaps unaware of its nature, they may have touched it, which resulted in the earth-shattering kaboom."
The spokesperson of the Sokoto State Police Command, ASP Ahmed Rufai, confirmed had also confirmed the incident to newsmen.
The police stated that six men were killed while three women sustained serious injuries.
It was further learned that the injured were rushed to Tangaza General Hospital, where they are currently receiving medical care.
Last month, the terrorist group also killed no fewer than 13 hunters following a bushwhack by suspected Lakurawa hard boyz in Hurumi Forest, located in Talewa ward of Tangaza Local Government Area (LGA), Sokoto State.
The incident occurred during a seasonal hunting expedition involving hunters from various communities in Tangaza and Gwadabawa LGAs.
Despite repeated warnings by local authorities regarding the security threat in the area, the hunters, armed with Dane guns and accompanied by their dogs, ventured deep into the forest, inadvertently entering a terrorist enclave.
"Three bodies have been recovered so far, while 10 remain unaccounted for. Some survivors have returned home," a Tangaza resident, who requested anonymity due to safety concerns, told news hounds.
Communities hit hardest include Kangiye, which lost five hunters; Chancha and Rantijadi, each with two; Gidan Kaji and Gandaba Yamma, one each; and Gandaba Gabas, with two hunters.
[Military History] He couldn’t recall how he had gotten there — all Douglas Hegdahl could remember was leaving behind his glasses in his bunk and going up to the top deck of the cruiser Canberra to watch the ship firing its guns off the Gulf of Tonkin.
"I can’t tell you how I fell from my ship," Hegdahl said after his release in 1969. "All I know is, I walked up on the deck. It was dark and they were firing, and the next thing I recall I was in the water."
Picked up by a North Vietnamese fishing boat after treading water for hours, and handed over to the Viet Cong before being brought to Hỏa Lò Prison, also known as the Hanoi Hilton.
It was there that the 20-year-old sailor from Clark, South Dakota, began one of the greatest non-combatant cons of the war.
Deemed a low-value prisoner due to his low rank, Hegdahl began to exploit this perception.
[NYPOST] House Republicans voted Tuesday to scrap a Washington, DC, law permitting noncitizens to vote in local elections and overturn another local law curtailing law enforcement liability protections.
In a 266 to 148 vote with one present, the House moved to nix the 2022 Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act and ensure that only US citizens can vote in DC elections.
''Free and fair elections are a prerequisite for a healthy republic,'' Rep. August Pfluger (R-Texas), who introduced the bill, said in a statement. ''The radical DC Council's decision to allow noncitizens—including illegal aliens and foreign agents—to vote in local elections dilutes the voting power of the citizen voter.''
''That power must be defended, and I am thrilled House Republicans took action today to do so.''

California needs a UN-sponsored plebiscite on whether to join Mexico. All residents of the territory can vote, just like any other plebiscite.

^ You'd trust the UN for that sort of thing? You'd let "all residents of the territory" vote? Even the ones who are here illegally? Did Claudia give you that idea?

[REGNUM] In recent weeks, there have been reports from the SVO zone about the advancement of our troops 60-65 kilometers west of Donetsk, near the borders of the Dnepropetrovsk region. Judging by the latest reports, the fighting has already moved to the territory of this region.
Thus, last week, assault units of the 41st Guards Combined Arms Army liberated the village of Orekhovo in the Krasnoarmeysky (Pokrovsky) district of the DPR. The village is located less than a kilometer from the state border of Russia established by the Constitution. The assault troops went deep into the adjacent territory of the Dnepropetrovsk region and took a bridgehead there.
On June 10, the Ministry of Defense reported that units of the Vostok group, operating in the area of Velyka Novosyolka, advanced deep into enemy territory and “defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized, mountain assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the territorial defense brigade” not only near several villages in the DPR — Voskresenka, Poddubnoye, Komar — but also in the area of the village of Maliyevka in the Sinelnikovsky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The arrival of units of the Center group to the DPR border became known on June 8. At the same time, reports were received of significant enemy losses in this area: the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than half a thousand fighters, seven armored vehicles (including a Swedish Viking armored personnel carrier) and a US-supplied radar station.
It was reported that for successful advancement in the Dnepropetrovsk region, the commander of one of the regiments of the 90th tank division of the Center group, Yevgeny Darayev, was nominated for the title of Hero of Russia.
And already on June 9, the press service of our defense department officially confirmed: in one day, the fighters expanded the control zone in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
The enemy command tried to refute the reports of the Russian Armed Forces' breakthrough. However, the success of Russian troops in this direction was confirmed by photo and video materials from the Sinelnikovsky district.
Our military has essentially begun forming a security zone for residents of the liberated areas of the west of the DPR. This is already the third buffer zone after those being created in the Sumy and Kharkov regions, respectively.
The fact that the offensive here is being carried out, among other things, for the purpose of creating a “buffer” was confirmed by the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov.
THE ROUTES DECIDE EVERYTHING
But at the first stage, entering the Dnipropetrovsk region will allow the Russian Armed Forces to complete the rout of the enemy group in the western part of the DPR, between Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) and Velikaya Novosyolka. Thus, with the liberation of the border village of Orekhovo, Russian troops will have access to the T0428 highway, along which the enemy delivers reinforcements and ammunition to the Donbass.
The settlement of Novopavlovka, a logistics center in the rear of the Ukrainian group, is acquiring key importance. This was reported by a front-line source of the Regnum news agency.
"In recent months, all logistics have been going through Novopavlovka. At first, aviation was operating there, then, as we got closer, drones were also activated. Now there is a real chance to cut off their supplies, break through to communications and complete the liberation of the entire western part of Donbas. Then, the freed forces can be moved in other directions," the source told the publication.
At the same time, Russian troops were not limited to success on just one section of the front. According to reports from the field, assault units managed to drive the enemy out of the village of Alekseyevka, located on the same T0428 highway, several kilometers from the border with the Dnepropetrovsk region.
Let us add that on June 10 it became known that the E50 highway leading from Pavlograd (a large center in the Dnipropetrovsk region) to Krasnoarmeysk-Pokrovsk, which is still controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, had been taken under fire control. The Ukrainian Armed Forces positions located on the section between Alekseyevka and Orekhovo are now semi-encircled.
North of Orekhovo, military operations continue in the area of Novonikolaevka and Novosergeevka.
"Solntsepek" covered the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of the settlement of Novopavlovka in the DPR
The success of the offensive along the entire front line from Novosergeevka to Alekseevka could potentially allow the expansion of the buffer zone in the Dnepropetrovsk region to 15-20 km.
SUMY WITHIN REACH
Simultaneously with the offensive in the west of the DPR and in adjacent areas of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian troops continue the operation to expand the buffer zone in the Sumy region. The day before it became known that three more villages had been liberated - Kondratovka, Aleksandrovka and Alekseyevka.
The Ukrainian analytical portal DeepState acknowledged the successes of the Russian army and noted our advance in the area of the villages of Belovody, Loknya and Sadki. According to unconfirmed reports, Russian troops also drove the enemy out of the settlement of Varachino. Thus, as of June 10, the advanced units are only 20 km from the regional capital, the city of Sumy.
Ukrainian sources admit that in the near future the northern outskirts of the city may be within range of Russian FPV drone strikes.
Certain models capable of striking at a distance of up to 50 km can already attack Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities in the central and southern regions of Sumy, as well as in adjacent populated areas. Thus, all enemy logistics in this area are in the sights of the Russian army.
At the same time, our aviation is carrying out intensive strikes along the entire length of the N-07 highway, which connects Sumy and the border areas, Ukrainian sources report. Both drones and frontline bombers using high-explosive aerial bombs are actively involved in the attacks. The Ukrainian army command, in turn, is trying to prevent a breakthrough of Russian troops in this direction.
The enemy is trying to build a new line of defense to the south of the buffer formed by our army, along the Oleshnya River - 10 km from the border and 15 km north of Sumy. When creating a defensive line, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are relying on the dominant heights along the right bank of the river, as well as on the forests, which allow them to hide concentrations of infantry and armored vehicles.
At the same time, Ukrainian sources complain about a shortage of troops.
The task of organizing the defense of Sumy has to be solved by units that have suffered heavy losses in the Kursk border area in recent months. Kyiv is sending mobilized recruits to replace the experienced military personnel who have been knocked out.
DAWN OF THE SUMMER CAMPAIGN
Russian troops have liberated more than 150 settlements since the beginning of 2025. The day before, the Ministry of Defense reported the liberation of the village of Zarya south of Konstantinovka (the southernmost city in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration in the northwest of the DPR).
Zarya became the 152nd settlement captured during the offensive. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are meeting the start of the summer campaign in an extremely bloodless state.
According to open sources, as of June, Ukrainian troops have lost 27 of the 31 M1A1 Abrams tanks previously supplied by the United States.
The situation in the air is not the best for Kiev, admitted Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat. "Unfortunately, today Russia has aircraft that can see further and missiles that fly further. Even compared to the F-16. They also have a powerful air defense that works in tandem with aviation," he admitted. At the same time, the Ukrainian air defense itself cannot withstand attacks by the Russian Aerospace Forces, notes The New York Times.
Both Western and Ukrainian sources summarize that, given the shortage of weapons and the complete superiority of the Russian army on land and in the air, the Ukrainian Armed Forces may be threatened with a collapse of the front in several directions at once.

[Regnum] The Russian and American sides have preliminarily agreed to move negotiations on diplomatic irritants from Istanbul to their capitals. This was reported on June 10 by Moscow's Ambassador to Washington Alexander Darchiev.
“It is important, however, that there is movement forward, although it is entirely reversible, and it is measured by such a tangible result as the preliminary decision taken during the last round of consultations on April 10 of this year in Istanbul to move them to [their] capitals,” he said in an interview with TASS.
Darchiev was also asked whether the current US administration is taking concrete steps after declaring its readiness to normalize relations with the Russian Federation. The diplomat noted that relations between the countries are still far from being restored, since this process is not easy. Its progress is being slowed down, in particular, not only by opponents of the White House in the person of the "deep state", but also by "hawks" in Congress, where there is a stable anti-Russian lobby, the ambassador said.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, earlier on June 10, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov reported that Moscow and Washington are planning to hold a third round of consultations to discuss bilateral irritants in the near future. At the same time, he noted that it is too early to talk about a specific date for the discussions.
Ryabkov also added that Russia still expects a clear response from Washington to its proposals, including the return of Russian diplomatic property.
The first meeting of the Russian and US delegations took place on February 27 in Istanbul and was devoted to the work of the diplomatic missions of the two countries. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that Moscow sees progress in the issue of normalizing the work of the embassies.
🚨🇺🇸 FBI ARRESTS 109 CHILD ABUSERS IN MASSIVE TEXAS TAKEDOWN: "NO PLACE TO HIDE"
FBI Dallas just announced the arrest of 109 child predators and almost 200 total offenders in Operation Soteria Shield, a coordinated assault on child abuse in Texas.
[ColonelCassad] Rostec CEO Sergei Chemezov on Armata:
The T-14 "Armata" is an expensive tank, it is easier for the army to buy cheaper T-90 tanks. Money is now needed to create new weapons.
In terms of functionality, it is, of course, much superior to existing tanks, but it is too expensive, so the army is unlikely to use it now.
In general, the topic of "Armata" is closed until better times. This war requires mass production and cheapness.
And "Armata" in the SVO turned out to be a classic "white elephant".
In the British Navy, "white elephants" were ironically called expensive battlecruisers from the First World War, which turned out to be beautiful, expensive, but poorly adapted to the modern war of that period. There is even a separate term "Admiral Fisher's White Elephants", which has gone down in history.
However, I am sure that after the war our designers will return to the topic of a tank with an unmanned turret, but where they will solve the issues of protection from drones in a completely different way, with a standard electronic warfare system and the ability to launch drones directly from the tank.
We saw something terrifying from the drone operators of the 83rd Airborne Brigade. They equip the Molniya strike UAVs with thermobaric charges from the Shmel infantry flamethrowers.
In the video, such a "winged thermobar" collapses a building with Ukrainian militants from the Ukrainian 21st Brigade in the Sumy region.
[NAHARNET] Army forces launched Tuesday a search in a building in a densely populated area of Hadath in Beirut's southern suburbs.
A Lebanese military official said the forces were looking for weapons at the request of a five-member committee supervising the Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire.
The building in the Sainte-Therese street had already been targeted during the the 14-month Israel-Hezbollah war.
Israel warned on Friday that it would keep up its strikes on Hezbollah targets across Leb ...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. Only one of those statements is an exaggeration.... , after it struck four locations in Dahieh on the eve of the Moslem holiday of Eid al-Adha ...a major Moslem holiday, marked by animal sacrifice and ritual rioting... The Lebanese army condemned the Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s, warning that such attacks are weakening the role of Lebanon's armed forces that might eventually suspend cooperation with the committee monitoring the truce that ended the Israel-Hezbollah war.
It said it had tried to convince Israel not to carry out the strikes and to instead let Lebanese officials go in to search the area under the mechanism laid out in the ceasefire agreement, but that the Israeli army refused, so Lebanese soldiers moved away from the locations after they were sent.

[NAHARNET] Israeli media reports said that Hezbollah has ramped up its domestic production of explosive-laden UAVs and attack or reconnaissance drones as an easier and cheaper alternative to precision missiles and rockets.
Israeli news portal ynet said Tuesday that Hezbollah has drawn tactical inspiration from the effectiveness of drones in Ukraine as it aims for greater self-sufficiency and less reliance on Iran.
Hezbollah has said it can manufacture its own drones.
Last week, on the eve of the Eid al-Adha ...a major Moslem holiday, marked by animal sacrifice and ritual rioting... holiday, the Israeli military struck several sites in Beirut's southern suburbs, saying they held underground facilities used by Hezbollah for drone production.
The Israeli army said in a statement that Hezbollah was "working to produce thousands of drones under the guidance and financing of Iranian terrorist groups."
Hezbollah "used drones extensively in its attacks against the State of Israel and is working to expand its drone industry and production in preparation for the next war," the army statement said.
ynet said the strikes were approved despite internal debate among Israeli leadership.
A Hezbollah official denied that there were drone production facilities at the targeted locations.
The Lebanese army said it tried to convince Israel not to carry out the strikes and to instead let Lebanese officials go in to search the area under the mechanism laid out in the ceasefire agreement, but that the Israeli army refused, so Lebanese soldiers moved away from the locations after they were sent.

This George Soros color revolution operation isn't going as planned.
It was supposed to create support to destroy Trump and make him politically powerless and ripe to be rethrown, just like Ukreaine's democratic government.

Newsom would have preferred to let the rioters burn LA to the ground just like Tampon Tim Walz did for Minneapolis during the George Floyd social justice protests. Then he would have tried to blame Trump. But Trump learned from the Minneapolis experience and this time he wasn't having it.

the hearing on the motion is tomorrow.
Will it be on pay-per-view? I perceive a lot of entertainment value.
In the meantime, maybe the troops can get the festivities damped down a bit.

The West seems to believe -- or, seems to want to believe -- that it's only a "war" if Tanks and Fighter Jets and Carrier Battle Groups are involved.
How quaint.
How naive.
How stupid.
Obviously, U.S. society is being defeated, as in any other war.
(Or, if you prefer -- Fundamentally Transformed.)
Just because some may not wish to label the current goings-on as "war" does not mean it's not war.

[Townhall] Let’s understand what’s going on in Los Angeles because most people don’t. This is not a battle of cops versus rioters; it is a battle between narratives. Most people see regime media video of Third World savages waving the tacky banners of their garbage homelands, lighting fires, hassling cops, and doing other things consistent with being barbarians, and think that Los Angeles is in chaos and therefore get scared. The idea behind this color revolution – it is organized and planned, not spontaneous or genuine – is to intimidate normal people into submitting and embracing the politicians associated with its goals in the hopes that it will stop. This is the work of the Democrat Party; the rioters are its useful idiots, acting to support the party’s goals while its maintaining deniability. But this scheme only succeeds if the target is feckless and weak, which such targets usually are. Trump isn’t. He’s going to win this because he understands this fight better than his enemies. The chaos is an illusion; his strength is reality.
Remember, this is not a kinetic operation. A kinetic operation achieves its goal by the violence itself. Kinetic operations destroy enemy personnel, reduce enemy combat power, or conquer territory through physical destruction. But this is an information operation. It accomplishes its mission by influencing the population. The violence itself is not an end, but a means; the goal is to compel people to submit by convincing them to accept the narrative.
And the narrative here is that Los Angeles is in complete chaos as a result of Donald Trump attempting to enforce federal law, so to stop the violence, Donald Trump must be compelled to cease enforcing federal law. This, of course, would be a devastating neutering of Trump while strengthening the Democrats. They want to make Trump look weak and convince America to submit to their intimidation. But this plot only works if we accept the illusion they are presenting.
Remember, it’s an information operation. None of what you see on the regime media is real. Oh, they are burning a few cars and screaming and yelling and running around waving flags of garbage countries, but what does any of that actually do? Nothing. They can’t make anyone do anything. They are not eliminating any federal law-enforcement capabilities. They are not significantly hindering federal law enforcement operations. They are not holding significant territory over time. They’re simply acting out in front of the cameras to try to convince you that Trump is powerless.
To some extent, this works. As a Southern Californian, I’ve been bombarded by people around the country asking me if I’m okay. Of course, I’m okay. I live among rich people who like their Chardonnay oaky and their illegal alien domestic help cheap and compliant. They won’t let that nonsense happen in my neighborhood. Hell, my liberal neighbors would call the local SWAT team in if poor people knocked over one of their “Hate Has No Home Here” signs. The violence is happening downtown, where practically nobody lives except bums and a few urban pioneers, as well as in some scruffy suburban cities on the east side of the metropolis. The impact on the daily life of 99% of people in Los Angeles is exactly zero. There are approximately 20 million people here. Maybe 5,000 have anything to do with this nonsense.
Again, it’s all an illusion designed to frighten and confuse you. That’s what an information operation does. It creates a narrative in people’s brains to achieve an effect it can’t achieve by force. These mobs don’t have the capacity to do much of anything except block some freeways and set a few cars on fire. If the cops and the Guard decided to get kinetic, they’d be wiped out faster than they could chant, “No justice, no arrrggggghhhh.” They aren’t a revolutionary army. They are a bunch of jerks pretending to be a threat.
And Trump has called their bluff. They were counting on what usually happens when the professional agitators in blue cities start getting frisky – they get catered to by the Democrats who run these urban areas. The Democrats react like a mommy while Trump reacts like a daddy. He’s not taking any of their guff, but what is important is that he understands that this is an information operation. He escalated by activating the California Army National Guard – I was a deputy commander of the brigade Trump called out and on the streets with the Army during the Los Angeles riots – but not so he could go kinetic. He’s not calling in the Guard or the Marines to bust heads or quell disorder, like we did in 1992. The guardsmen are basically providing point security around federal facilities to free up federal cops to go out and do cop things like arrest scumbags.
What Trump is doing is messaging to the country that he’s not taking their crap. He’s not going to be intimidated. He’s not going to let this get out of control. The ones who are letting it get out of control are the Democrats who run California, like slack-jawed moron Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Hairstyle. Let’s understand the relationship between the riots and the Democrat establishment. The rioters are catspaws, cut-outs whose act of violence and intimidation support Democrat policies even as the Democrat establishment pretends to be upset about the chaos. However, the Democrats must at least appear to be trying to maintain order. Trump knows that is one of their weaknesses. He is sticking them with the consequences of their own disorder. Have you noticed how the Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles sheriffs, and the California Highway Patrol are the ones dealing with riots? They are the ones who look powerless in the face of the rioters. This, in turn, makes Gavin Newsom and his pals look powerless – an image compounded when they whine and complain impotently about Trump calling up the Guard and Trump ignores them.
A color revolution information operation depends on an inept response from the targeted authority. Either the target of authority overreacts by going in and shooting a bunch of people, therefore appalling the weak-hearted citizenry, or it under-reacts and demonstrates its own powerlessness. But the color revolution fails when the target understands the game better than the leftists who initiated it. That’s what’s happened here. Donald Trump has projected strength, but not too much strength. He understands that normal American citizens are going to show absolutely no sympathy for the vandals, looters, illegal aliens, and other criminals, setting fires and looting 7-Elevens live on television. He has made Democrat officials look weak by ignoring their whining and forcing them to handle the part of the response that creates the worst optics.
At the same time, this situation provides an opportunity for Trump’s federal law enforcement to map out the network of organizations and individuals who coordinated and logistically supported rioting in Los Angeles. This isn’t a unique phenomenon. Leftist groups do this all around the country. Remember, time is on Trump’s side. Federal law enforcement can target the conspirators with criminal indictments and finally break this cycle. It can dismantle the infrastructure that allows these faux-spontaneous insurrections to pop up across the country. Offering rewards for specific criminals is another way to highlight to Americans that these people are criminals. And the situation also provides an opportunity to defund the government support to NGOs that launder government money to fund this kind of violence. The LA rioting has exposed our enemy to scrutiny, and we should take full advantage of that to crush it.
Trump is handling this just right. The battle isn’t on the streets of Los Angeles. The battle is in the hearts and minds of normal Americans. When normal Americans see burning and looting by degenerates, they are naturally frightened and appalled. What the leftists want to do, what the purpose of their information operation is, is to convince normal people that they have no choice but to submit because no one can protect them. Trump breaks that paradigm by providing an alternative – he will protect them, and therefore normal citizens don’t have to submit to the intimidation. All you need is someone willing to stand up to these dirtbags and it completely disrupts their info op.
The left has two main options going forward. One is to become even more violent and see if they can provoke an overreaction – remember, they don’t have the combat power to achieve anything by force. Even if they increase their level of violence, this is still an information operation. However, they risk overplaying their hand and justifying a forceful reaction by Trump. If some criminal – a substantial number of the rioters are not political activists but common street thugs – decides to shoot a fed and the feds shoot back, normal people are going to cheer.
The second and more likely course of action is for the word to go out to dial back the disorder. It’s not working. It’s not having the desired effect. It’s also hurting the Democrats, who tacitly support the violence but want to maintain distance from it. It’s their city that’s in chaos, not Trump’s. The Democrats are united in whining about Trump not submitting like cowards to the thugs, but all this is doing is making them look weak. It’s not Trump‘s forces that are getting pushed around by the rioters; it’s the Democrats’ local cops who are. The Democrats have had nothing but problems lately, and the last thing they needed was to have several days of news footage making them look ineffectual while also blowing the Elon vs. Donald cage match off the front pages.
The only real question is whether or not Donald Trump and his team planned this. It’s working to his advantage – the Big Beautiful Bill debate just stopped being about saving a few pennies and became about saving our country from foreign invaders

The real threat is to create a demand for a surveillance state to didenfy the rioters. Afterwards those facial ID cameras will never go away.
Just like the WoT is long over but we will NEVER get our rights back from the USA_PATRIOT ACT.
[NYPOST] ABC News on Tuesday fired veteran correspondent Terry Moran — two days after his social media rant targeted President Trump adviser Stephen Miller, the company said.
Moran, 65, was suspended by the Disney-owned network on Sunday following his early-morning tirade on X in which he called Miller a ''world class hater.''
''We are at the end of our agreement with Terry Moran and based on his recent post — which was a clear violation of ABC News policies — we have made the decision to not renew,'' an ABC News spokesperson told The Post.

The rules about being ethical journalists never apply when they're shitting on the Right, and especially when they shit on Trump.
He knew this well and I'm sure he is utterly shocked to be held accountable.
This came completely out of the blue.
[Federalist] On Monday 113 Democrats voted against a resolution "denouncing the antisemitic terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado."
Although the measure passed 280-113, "Democrats fumed over language in the resolution expressing ’gratitude to law enforcement, including US Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel, for protecting the homeland,’" the New York Post reported.
The resolution was submitted by Colorado’s Rep. Gabe Evans, a Republican, who wrote that Mohamed Sabry Soliman is an "Egyptian national illegally in the United States" who "committed a terrorist attack." 113 Democrats voted against the resolution that included that affirmation, while no Republicans opposed the initiative, Axios reported.
"As a former police officer and Army veteran of the Global War on Terror, I know how Colorado’s radical leftists leaders and laws prioritize illegal immigrants over public safety — allowing antisemitic terrorists like Mohammed Sabry Soliman to strike," Evans said in a press release.

They have a certain way of corrupting the language. It's just like saying immigrant instead of illegal alien or social justice protest or mostly peaceful protest instead of riot. Another example that has become popular in California is "person experiencing homelessness" instead of the far more concise "hobo". It's a dead giveaway when they string a bunch of words together instead of calling a spade a spade in an attempt to mislead the listener. They know the difference but they don't want voters to know so they use inappropriate words as a form of lying. Then they will try to cancel anybody who insists on using words correctly.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
