[Breitbart] The head of the Yemeni Ansarallah terrorist organization, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, boasted in a national address on Thursday that his jihadists had turned American aircraft carriers into “obsolete weapons.”
Big talk from a small man.
Houthi’s group, which controls the Yemeni capital of Sana’a and received significant backing from state sponsor of terror Iran, declared war on Israel in October in support of fellow jihadist terrorists Hamas. The Houthis’, as they are commonly known, main contribution to terrorism in the Middle East has been a campaign against commercial shipping in the Red Sea in which they use drones, missiles, and other often rudimentary weapons to attack random civilian vessels in the region. The campaign has resulted in skyrocketing shipping fees and the collapse of toll revenue at the Suez Canal in Egypt as many companies choose to redirect ships around the Cape of Good Hope in Africa.
The Houthis have also done significant damage to trust in global shipping, prompting the international shipping community to issue an outraged letter in June demanding state governments act more decisively to protect civilian ships in the Red Sea.
President Joe Biden responded to the threat by announcing the creation of an international coalition, “Operation Prosperity Guardian,” in December. The operation inspired doubt from the start, as the Pentagon refused to reveal all the countries that had committed to joining it or what exactly it was planning to do in the Red Sea to protect ships. “Operation Prosperity Guardian” remains officially active at press time, but the Biden administration has offered little information on any actions taken within the scope of the operation or how it is preventing Houthi attacks.
Al-Houthi, the leader of the terrorist group, mocked American attempts to protect global shipping in his address on Thursday, which coincided with American Independence Day.
“Battle in the Red Sea has attested the fact that US aircraft carriers are an obsolete weapons system, and are not worth spending money on,” al-Houthi declared, according to a translation of his remarks by the Iranian state propaganda outlet PressTV.
“US attempts to Yemeni maritime operations are ineffective, and have so far failed to produce any promising results,” the Houthi leader claimed. “Americans have come to realize the extent of the Yemeni Armed Forces’ military might.”
Abdul-Malik al-Houthi claimed that his terrorists had committed 12 “operations” against allegedly Israeli-linked forces in the past week, according to coverage of his remarks by the Hezbollah-affiliated al-Mayadeen press network, using 20 ballistic and cruise missiles and a drone in addition to a maritime vessel.
Houthi also boasted that Washington had allegedly “retreated” from the Red Sea and “the Americans are re-evaluating their capabilities, tactics, and methods.”
“American warships in the Red Sea are being chased by missiles and drones, and they are fleeing at the highest speed they can muster,” he claimed.
Houthi terrorists claim they have attacked 162 “Israeli-linked” ships since the barbaric October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel, which killed an estimated 1,200 people and featured widespread instances of torture, gang rape, and other atrocities. The Houthis have not consistently offered accurate information on their activities, however. Independent reports suggest the Houthis launched over 70 attacks between November and June. Those attacks have featured the sinking of two ships – the Belize-flagged MV Rubymar in February and the Greek-owned MV Tutor – and attacks on several ships with ties to Houthi allies.
Ansarallah claims that it only attacks ships affiliated with Israel, America, and Britain, the latter two in response to airstrikes in Yemen meant to degrade Houthi capabilities to target ships in the Red Sea. In reality, however, Houthi attacks often appear to be targeting random commercial ships. An assessment by the American Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) this week indicated that Houthi attacks have affected 65 different countries, including Houthi-friendly nations such as Russia, China, and top patron Iran. Some of those attacks have targeted ships previously owned by American or British entities, suggesting the Houthis are using outdated information to choose targets.

This of course is why the Chinese are trying to build them.
They're a particular tool for a particular job in a particular environment. The strait off Yemen isn't a good place for them. It's a good place for carpet bombing.

they're just big targets for submarines.

[BBC] More than 50 candidates and activists in La Belle France have come under physical attack in the run-up to Sunday's tense final round of parliamentary elections, Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin has said.
He revealed the figure after government spokeswoman Prisca Thevenot, her deputy Virginie Lanlo and a party activist were brutally assaulted as they put up election posters in Meudon, south-west of Gay Paree.
The motive for the attack is not clear, but Ms Thevenot returned to Meudon on Thursday with Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, who condemned what he called "attacks of intolerable cowardice".
The spate of assaults across La Belle France reflects the febrile mood on the final day of campaigning in an election that the far-right National Rally (RN) is poised to win.
Although RN is well ahead in the polls, 217 candidates have dropped out from local run-off races so another candidate has a better chance of stopping them winning an outright majority in the National Assembly.
Mr Darmanin told news channel BFMTV the attacks were taking place in a climate in which La Belle France was "on edge" and more than 30 people had been arrested.
He said the attackers were either people who had "spontaneously become angry" or they were the "ultra-left, ultra-right or other political groups".
Images filmed from a block of flats showed the youths swarming around the candidate, her deputy Virginie Lanlo and a party activist for President Emmanuel Macron's Ensemble alliance.
Ms Thevenot told Le Gay Pareeien website that when she and her colleagues objected to the youths defacing party posters "they immediately attacked one of my activists, injuring Virginie". Ms Lanlo suffered an arm injury, while the activist was punched and hit with a scooter, ending up with a broken jaw. The car windscreen was also smashed by the scooter.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A nationwide discount homeware chain with almost 1,400 stores is the latest to warn of money problems.
Big Lots has told financial regulators it may not be able to continue as a 'going concern' - raising the risk of store closures and bankruptcy.
The Columbus, Ohio-based chain has seen its takings fall consistently for each of the past ten quarters. And it lost an eye-watering $132milloin in the first three months of 2024.
Managers of its stores say they are not surprised. They have complained that the company's bosses at HQ send truck-loads of products that customers don't want.
In a recent filing with regulators, Big Lots said that the losses so far this year - on top of further losses in 2022 and 2023 - meant it had used up most of its spare cash. Retailers need money in the bank to cover the cost of stock.
Big Lots used to be a neat little place to pickup items at a good discounted prices. Then it started selling furniture, mattresses, and other high ticket items at typical prices. Many food items on the shelf started showing beyond the BB dates.
OLLIE'S is now what Big Lots use to be 20 years ago.
An urgent warning has been issued to all 1.46 billion iPhone users after tech experts uncovered a new cyberattack targeting Apple IDs.
Bad actors are using SMS phishing campaigns that send messages claiming to be from Apple, prompting users to visit a link to an 'important request' about iCloud.
California-based Symantec security firm discovered the attack this month, warning the links lead to fake websites that urge users to hand over their Apple ID information.
Apple has established guidelines for such an attack, urging iPhone owners to use two-factor authentication that requires a password and six-digit verification code to access their account from an outside device.
[FoxNews - liveblog] In a Truth Social post, Trump requested a "no holds barred" and "all on" discussion with Biden about the future of the country.
"Let Joe explain why he wants Open Borders, with millions of people, and many violent criminals from parts unknown, pouring into our once great Nation, or why he wants Men Playing in Women’s Sports, or demand ALL ELECTRIC VEHICLES within five years, or why he allowed INFLATION TO RUN RAMPANT, destroying the people of our Country, and so much more," he wrote.
ABC News is scheduled to host the second debate between Biden and Trump on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. ET. The network has not yet announced the moderators for that debate.
[JPost] On May 20, the same day International Criminal Court prosecutor Karim Khan made a surprise request for warrants to arrest the leaders of Israel and Hamas involved in the Gaza conflict, he suddenly canceled a sensitive mission to collect evidence in the region, eight people with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.
Planning for the visit had been under way for months with US officials, four of the sources said.
Khan's decision to request the warrants upended the plans backed by Washington and London for the prosecutor and his team to visit Gaza and Israel.
The court was set to gather on-site evidence of war crimes and offer Israeli leaders a first opportunity to present their position and any action they were taking to respond to the allegations of war crimes, five sources with direct knowledge of the exchanges told Reuters.
Khan's request for a warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu - the court's first attempt to detain a sitting, Western-backed head of state - also flew in the face of efforts the US and Britain were leading to prevent the court from prosecuting Israeli leaders, the sources said.
The two states have said the court has no jurisdiction over Israel and that seeking warrants would not help resolve the conflict.
Khan's office told Reuters the decision to seek warrants was, in line with its approach in all cases, based on an assessment by the prosecutor that there was enough evidence to proceed, and the view that seeking arrest warrants immediately could prevent ongoing crimes.

[ZH] The top prosecutor in Arkansas warned on July 2 that Americans should be wary of using the Temu marketplace app because it’s effectively a "data theft business."
"The threat from China is not new, and it is real," Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin told Fox Business on July 2, a week after his office filed a lawsuit against the company. "Temu is not an online marketplace like Amazon or Walmart. It’s a data theft business that sells goods as a means to an end."
He said that it’s "common for an online marketplace like Amazon, like Walmart, to collect certain consumer data as part of the normal course of business. I think we all know that that’s not what’s going on here."
Instead, the company is using malware and spyware to "get into your phone, your device, and to collect your data," Mr. Griffin told the outlet.
"Not just traditional consumer data, but using malware, spyware to have complete access to your information. And [taking it] one step further, their code is written in such a way to evade detection," he said.
Temu is operated by Shanghai, China-based parent company Pinduoduo Inc., which includes "former Chinese communist officials" in its ranks, Mr. Griffin said.
The lawsuit, filed against the firm’s parent company, is seeking a jury trial as well as a permanent block against Temu’s data-collection activities. It also seeks a $10,000 fine for each violation of an Arkansas state law known as the Deceptive Practices Act.
The suit primarily cites research from Grizzly Research, which analyzes publicly traded firms, and alleges that Temu can "purposely ... gain unrestricted access to a user’s phone operating system, including, but not limited to, a user’s camera, specific location, contacts, text messages, documents, and other applications."
In its report, Grizzly Research said that it suspects that Temu is "already, or intends to, illegally sell stolen data from Western country customers to sustain a business model that is otherwise doomed for failure."
"Temu is estimated to be losing $30 per order. Its ad spending and shipping costs (1 to 2 weeks from China, expedited to U.S. delivery) are astronomical," the report states.
"One is left wondering how this business could ever be profitable. Temu is a notoriously bad actor in its industry. We see rampant user manipulation, chain-letter-like affinity scams to drive signups, and overall, the most aggressive and questionable techniques to manipulate large numbers of people to install the app."
In a statement to The Epoch Times on Tuesday evening, a Temu spokesperson that it was "disappointed" and said the Arkansas lawsuit doesn’t cite "any independent fact-finding."
"The allegations in the lawsuit are based on misinformation circulated online, primarily from a short-seller, and are totally unfounded. We categorically deny the allegations and will vigorously defend ourselves," the firm stated. "We understand that as a new company with an innovative supply chain model, some may misunderstand us at first glance and not welcome us."
The spokesperson continued, "We are committed to the long-term and believe that scrutiny will ultimately benefit our development. We are confident that our actions and contributions to the community will speak for themselves over time."
According to analytics website Backlinko, Temu was the most downloaded shopping app around the world in 2023, with more than 330 million downloads—about 1.8 times more than the Amazon Shopping app.
On July 1, the Texas Public Policy Foundation issued a similar warning about the app, saying that it "can access almost anything on your phone," which means that Chinese Communist Party officials "could theoretically install applications and spyware files on an individual’s smart device to use for complete surveillance of all user activity on a phone.
"This would allow China to monitor keystrokes and logs to have direct insight into login credentials for other social media, emails, and bank accounts," the foundation warned.
Temu officials didn’t respond by press time to a request by The Epoch Times for comment.

[Washington Examiner] With President Joe Biden today dismissing critics of his poor debate performance with former President Donald Trump, a "Plan C" is being urged to help his wounded reelection effort across the finish line first on Election Day.
Advocates of "Plan C" said the solution to Trump’s surging campaign and Electoral College advantage is a simple one: replace Vice President Kamala Harris with former President Barack Obama.
"A Biden-Obama ticket would have a much better chance of beating Trump," said legal scholar John Banzhaf, a professor at George Washington University Law School.
He is more completely described by Wikipedia as a legal activist, a perfect example of the dangers of letting engineers (BSEE from MIT) apply their skills to law. His causes have been many and varied, over the years, including objections to President Trump that informed the 2021 prosecution in Fulton County, Georgia.
"Barack Obama is probably one of the few persons whom a majority of Americans would want and trust as president, so Plan C might be the least objectionable of a number of very unpopular and dubious options now open to Biden and the Democratic Party," he said on Thursday.
#2
...I'm gonna say no on this one. I still say that any attempt to remove Harris as a candidate will result in a civil war within the Democratic Party that will end any chance of a victory this year.
And consider this - even if Obama was to go along with something like this, he's no idiot: right now , there's a damned good chance that no matter what he does, Donald Trump will beat him. He's not going to take that chance.
#11
There are separate issues with Obama replacing Harris in office or in the ticket.
Barack would be ineligible for the ticket in either slot based on the plain text of the Amendment. The VP always has to be eligible for the presidency. You can’t put Schwarzenegger in the VP slot in hopes of upgrading him later - not that that would be a good idea to begin with.
To install Obama in as VP, he would have to face hearings and get approval in the House and Senate. The American people aren’t going to accept giving the shadow operation legitimacy. Obama has done a lousy job as shadow president. They will oust any RINOs who went along with this fantasy. It’s fantasy, because Barak isn’t going to sit for hearings.

[Washington Examiner] A group of top Democratic donors and strategists is pooling resources into a new political action committee to help fund an alternative candidate to President Joe Biden should he withdraw from the presidential race, according to a report from the New York Times.
The fund, coined the Next Generation PAC, is aiming to raise as much as $100 million to help support a candidate who replaces Biden at the top of the ticket, according to the outlet. If Biden doesn’t drop out of the race, the money would then be used to fund down-ballot candidates.
The Next Generation PAC is being spearheaded by Mike Novogratz,
…yet another hopeful tech billionaire with more money than sense…
a cryptocurrency investor who previously backed Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) in the Democratic primary, the outlet reported. The group has not yet filed federal paperwork, but PAC officials have reportedly told donors it hopes to raise between $50 million and $100 million.
People connected to the Biden campaign have heard of the possible stealth project and have attempted to convince those involved not to join, according to the outlet.
If the PAC manages to raise large sums, it could benefit Vice President Kamala Harris if she replaces Biden as the nominee, especially as some major donors have remained skeptical about her at the top of the ticket.

[Powerline via Hot Air] Note that Sotomayor dishonestly fails to characterize the majority’s holding correctly. She claims that immunity attaches when the president "uses his official powers in any way," such as by ordering a political assassination. But obviously, ordering assassinations, pulling off military coups, and taking bribes are not "actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority." The president has no constitutional authority to order murders, carry out military coups or take bribes. On the contrary, murders and coups would be high crimes and misdemeanors, and the Constitution specifically calls out taking bribes as a ground for impeachment.
Do these justices seriously think that if a future president were to carry out a political assassination, and the case were to come before this Court’s majority, they would say, "Yes, that is what we had in mind. Political assassination is A-OK!" Of course not. These three are not intellectual giants, but they can’t possibly be that stupid.
The Democrats’ dissent is so dishonest, and so obviously a political rather than a judicial document, that it must sadden anyone who believes in the rule of law, and who has any respect for the Supreme Court as an institution. It was obviously intended to provide fodder to rile up Democratic voters so as to help Joe Biden (or whoever) win the 2024 election. Justices Sotomayor, Kagan and Jackson should be ashamed of themselves, but it seems that on the Left, shame is an obsolete concept.

[Breitbart] A San Antonio, Texas, homeowner armed with a shotgun killed an alleged intruder who reportedly lunged at him just before 1:00 a.m. Sunday.
CBS Austin reported that the alleged intruder came to the front door seeking entry to the home, and the homeowner told him to leave. The alleged intruder then reportedly sought entrance again, and was again told to leave. Thereafter, the homeowner "heard noises in the backyard and upon investigation, encountered the same man."
The homeowner then grabbed his shotgun and was standing with his wife when the intruder allegedly lunged at him. The homeowner fired one round, fatally wounding the alleged intruder.
Police indicated the homeowner "[feared] for his wife’s safety," KENS 5 noted.
The alleged intruder was described as 47-year-old male.

[NYPOST] President Biden made several odd gaffes and misstatements throughout the official White House Fourth of July celebration, appearing confused at times and puzzlingly greeting the crowd with a hearty "Ho ho ho! Happy Independence Day!"
The president, 81, and first lady Jill Biden were joined on stage by Vice President Kámala Harris Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's former mistress, then a senatrix from California former 2020 Dem presidential hopeful, and Joe Biden's wing nut... and second gentleman Doug Emhoff. Harris introduced the "extraordinary" President Biden who then began a short statement of well-wishing for the holiday.
Biden looked more sprightly than during his much-maligned June 27 debate performance. But his statements weren’t much more coherent despite being louder in volume.
"We gotta do what our founders did: show the world we’re a nation of dignity, honor, and just devotion to one another," he said before telling the audience to enjoy the fireworks.
As Bruce Springsteen’s "Born in the USA" blared, the group made their way off the stage.
Biden, bringing up the rear, suddenly paused his gait mid-step, seemingly unsure to whom he should hand the microphone.
He then took a few slow steps across the stage, now by himself, before handing off the mic to a stagehand.
He then slowly descended a short flight of stairs before mingling with the crowd.

There has been a lot of speculation about who the replacement VP will be when Joe is canned. I recommend that no one be approved by the House until the Dems pony up an outrageous wish list in the House confirmation hearing.
I want everything from the Epstein clients to the Hur tapes. Stuff that they have no intention of giving us. Let the hearings go on and vote against every single person proposed because they lied about Joe’s health. They cheated to get him elected. Now that their tire is flat, make them ride the donut. They had it easy with Joe doing everything they wanted. Kamala thinks she’s brilliant. I don’t want to imply that she is a moron. I intend to state that she is a moron directly.
Not only is she a moron, but she will be a great detriment to the Dems as president. Make her perform with no backup so that they can’t remove her and have to run her again in 2028.

It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... City’s Shifa Hospital, who was arrested in November for alleged complicity with Hamas ..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... , was released from detention in Nafha Prison in the Negev and sent home to Gaza. Under Abu Salmiya’s watch, Shifa had developed into a major Hamas command center, where the IDF has killed hundreds of button men and uncovered a substantial tunnel network, where hostages were held, and where, according to the IDF, at least one hostage, Noa Marciano, was killed.
The mind boggles at the denunciations and threats that would have rained down from the far right on any other government that presided over the debacle of Abu Salmiya’s homecoming. But the far right, of course, is a core and dominant part of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition, and far-right Netanyahu appointee Itamar Ben Gvir is the minister of national security, responsible for the Israel Prison Service, in turn responsible for the incarceration of Abu Salmiya and the fiasco of his release.
An oft-arrested thug horrifyingly placed by Netanyahu in charge of the forces of law and order, which he is now in the process of brutalizing, Ben Gvir is entirely incapable of fulfilling ministerial responsibilities or, obviously, of acknowledging his failures to do so.

What makes Leftists so dangerous is that they really believe their own shit.
The scum who penned this article is really unhappy that Ben Gvir set the police on Israeli analog of Antifa.

Killing or removing anyone inside a territory is harder than it looks. The Germans had years with zero opposition, none, and they couldn't finish the job. I don't think with another decade they could have done it.
[GEO.TV] The US Central Command says it destroyed two Houthi radar sites in Yemen and two unmanned surface vessels (USVs) in the Red Sea during the past 24 hours.
“It was determined the radar sites and USVs presented imminent threats to U.S., coalition forces, and merchant vessels in the region”, CENTCOM said in a statement on X.
“This action was taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure.”

[GEO.TV] Australian Senator Fatima Payman Thursday resigned from Labour party saying it was with "a heavy heart but a clear conscience".
She has decided to work as an independent lawmaker and sit on the crossbench "to represent the western Australia".
The party had earlier suspended the senator for voting in support of a motion on Palestinian statehood, against the party policy.
Payman said on the one hand she had great support from common Labour party members, unionists and volunteers who were calling on her to "hang in there and make change happen internally".
“On the other hand, I am pressured to conform to caucus solidarity, and toe the party line. I see no middle ground, and my conscience leaves me no choice.”
She said the Israeli genocide in Gaza is a “tragedy of unimaginable proportions”. It was “a crisis that pierces the heart and soul, calling us to action with a sense of urgency and moral clarity”.

Head of UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) Andrea De Domenico said, "Nowhere and no one is safe in Gaza", which has become a place "where people cannot find a safe refuge, and can’t leave the front line".

[JustTheNews] Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Governor Gavin can't be Bee'd Newsom ...mayor of San Francisco as it transformed itself into Poopville, currently governor of California as it transforms itself into Cinderland... withdrew his competing ballot measure to reform the state’s reduced prosecution of drug dealing and theft just days after Democratic politicians rejected his supported amendments to their anti-crime bills.
Newsom’s measure would have required the majority of politicians’ support on July 3 to make it on the November ballot, and would be in competition with another prosecution reform measure that earned nearly one million signatures.
The official website and Twitter account of the Office of the Governor of California took down mention and links to a July 1 blurb from Newsom, Senate President pro Tempore Mike McGuire, D-North Coast, and Speaker of the Assembly Robert Rivas, D-Hollister, announcing their drug and theft initiative, which initially had a vote set for Wednesday, July 3. Through a special rules change, the measure would have required only a majority, not the usual two-thirds, of politicians’ votes to make it on the ballot. But with the governor’s withdrawal and hiding of the announcement, it seems he may not have even had a majority despite Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... ’ supermajority in both houses of the legislature.
"We are pleased the Governor and Legislature have dropped their countermeasure and welcome them to join our campaign to responsibly amend Prop 47 to deal with retail theft, the fentanyl crisis and homelessness," said Greg Totten, CEO of the California District Attorneys Association and a spokesperson for the now-only Proposition 47 reform ballot measure, in a statement to The Center Square.
California voters passed Prop. 47 a decade ago making most theft and drug crimes into rarely-prosecuted misdemeanors, leading a coalition of businesses and law enforcement to launch the Homelessness, Drug Addiction, and Theft Reduction Act. If passed in November, the TRA will allow for felony charges against serial thieves and combining thefts to meet the $950 felony threshold, and create new penalties for fentanyl dealers on the level of dealers of other hard drugs.
It would also create a new "crime" called a a "treatment-mandated felony" that would let an individual who "successfully completes drug and mental health treatment" have the conviction expunged and face no jail time, and receive shelter, job training, and other services to get back on their feet post-treatment.
Newsom’s competing measure would have introduced penalties for drug pushers who sell drugs with fentanyl mixed in, but these cases would be difficult to prove, as prosecution would need to prove dealers knew fentanyl is present in the drug, that the buyer did not know there was fentanyl in the drug, and have not told the buyer there is fentanyl in the drug. It also would have allowed thieves to face felony charges after two theft convictions over $50 within the last two years, but TRA supporters argued this would cause "repeated thefts" under $50.
Newsom tried to force Democrats to add "poison pill" amendments invalidating their bipartisan package of anti-crime bills if the TRA passes, but opposition from Republicans and moderate Democrats left those amendments on the floor. Newsom’s proposition withdrawal marks his second defeat from Democrats in the last week over his response to the TRA.
Newsom appears to have moved on from the issue, and today announced his new nationally-distributed podcast and radio show called "Politickin" with Super Bowl Champion Marshawn Lynch and NFL superstar agent Doug Hendrickson. Today he’s also at the White House meeting with President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... or is that an act?... and other Democratic governors.

[Regnum] Over the Syrian province of Homs, a Russian pilot managed to avoid a collision between an An-30 of the Russian Armed Forces and a Typhoon fighter of the "coalition", which could have occurred due to a dangerous approach. This was reported by the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides (CRPS) in the Syrian Arab Republic, Major General Yuri Popov.
The incident occurred on July 3 between 09:44 and 09:51 over the At-Tanf region.
After a dangerous approach, a collision was avoided thanks to the high professionalism of the Russian pilot, who took the necessary measures in a timely manner, Popov clarified.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, a dangerous approach occurred in the skies over Syria between an American reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicle and a Su-35 fighter jet of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
The Russian Armed Forces, together with the Syrian military, conducted exercises during which they repelled enemy attacks on the Tartus base.

#2 exhibits elites delusions. Less than 20 day oil reserves, troops totals as I recall at a 20 year low at the least. Cannibalizing spare parts. How many years missiles have sat in silos?. Upgrades? if at all. For about 20 years Putin has pushed for upgrades and technological advancements. Dream on but going toe to toe with Russia and China is a fools mission. What better way to destroy the western world. Perhaps this was the idea of elites anyway.

Any pilot capable of holding the control in his hands should know that a drone can't manuever away from you. It's basically like encountering a really big bird in the air; You'll have to get around it.
It doesn't know where you are.
Happened repeatedly in Afghanistan. Our drones lost signal, and the default is 'go higher to regain signal', right into air lanes.

A plan, a Koran, and a rucksack;
A fully stocked pointy-toed shoe rack,
Silk shalwar kameez,
All your kids, if you please,
And roast beef on relief for John Buraq!
Also a lot of people not voting. About 60% voting compared to about 67% in 2019. Although not known to a high degree it is probable a lot of them, maybe a majority, were voters who favored the Conservatives in the previous election.

The idiots leading the Tories screwed the Brits, and have been doing so since they reluctantly backed Brexit, dragged to it by their voters. When it got out that despite promising to cut illegal immigration, the current Tory leadership deliberately increased it, they were toast. The only question is whether Britain will survive the punishment.

[Regnum] The Houthi movement Ansar Allah has attacked a total of 162 vessels in the Red and Arabian Seas since November last year, said the movement's leader Abdel Malek al-Houthi.
It’s so cute that they (and the Russian reporter) only count how many they shot off, and not how many actually hit anything other than water… not to mention the very, very few that actually caused significant damage.
According to the leader of Ansar Allah, over the past week, six ships were attacked using ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones and boats.
As reported by Regnum News Agency, the Houthis began attacks on ships linked to Israel and its allies in the fall of 2023, after the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, in order to support the Palestinian Hamas movement. In January 2024, the US and Great Britain began retaliatory strikes on the positions of the Yemeni movement.
On June 29, the movement was reported to have attacked four commercial vessels in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean. At the time, Ansar Allah military spokesman Yahya Saria said the Houthis had launched a ballistic missile attack on the Delonix oil tanker. The UK Navy's Maritime Trade Operations Centre (UKMTO) said the vessel, which was 150 nautical miles northwest of Yemen's port of Hodeidah, was undamaged in the attack.
The Houthis also attacked the Ioannis in the Red Sea, the Waler oil tanker and the Johannes Maersk in the Mediterranean. There were no reports of any consequences from the strikes.
On June 26, Yahya Saria said the Houthis had attacked the Israeli ship MSC SARAH V in the Arabian Sea for the first time with a hypersonic missile. The following day, the Houthis attacked the Israeli city of Haifa and the Seajoy in the Red Sea using drones, missiles and an unmanned boat.
Scare quotes mine for Hamas’s imaginary numbers. The real numbers are about a third less, and almost entirely Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad made men.

[BBC] Australian fans of a late morning McDonald's breakfast are having to wake up earlier.
The fast food giant has temporarily shortened the hours of its breakfast service in the country by 90 minutes due to an egg shortage caused by a bird flu outbreak.
It is currently serving its full breakfast menu only until 10:30am, instead of the usual midday.
"Like many retailers, we are carefully managing supply of eggs due to the current industry challenges," McDonald's Australia said in a statement sent to the BBC.
"We’re continuing to work closely with our network of Aussie farmers, producers, and suppliers, as the industry comes together to manage this challenge."
Several strains of bird flu have been detected in 11 poultry facilities across southeast Australia in the past two months.
Authorities have said they have the situation under control.
"Consumers can expect to see some empty shelves in the short-term, however, supplies are being re-directed to areas with short supply," the Australian government said.
"Consumers should refrain from purchasing more eggs than required."
Bird flu has affected fewer than 10% of Australia's egg laying hens but, some businesses have imposed limits on how many eggs people can buy.
The outbreaks have led to the culling of about 1.5m chickens in Australia.
So far, none of the strains detected have been the H5N1 variant of bird flu.
H5N1 has spread through bird and mammal populations globally, infecting billions of animals and a small number of humans.

[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Defense Forces have withdrawn from the Kanal microdistrict of the city of Chasiv Yar, which is located west of occupied Bakhmut.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces retreated to Chasovy Yar. According to Nazar Voloshin, a representative of the Khortitsa OSUV, the Ukrainian military left the Kanal microdistrict, which was inadvisable to hold due to the risk of major losses. “The positions of our defenders were destroyed, and the command decided to retreat to more protected and prepared positions,” Voloshin said. What risks does this create on this section of the front? BATTLE FOR CHASOV YAR
According to DeepState analysts, the occupiers have completely destroyed the Kanal (Novy) microdistrict, so the withdrawal of the Defense Forces from there is logical. According to Voloshin, the occupiers are trying to completely take the city in order to meet certain deadlines. In the Chasovy Yar area, 230 shellings from all types of weapons were recorded in 24 hours.
The situation in the Chasovy Yar area is critically grave, reported Ivan Petrichak, press officer of the 24th King Daniel Brigade, on July 3.
According to Petrichak, battles with the occupiers are taking place on the border of the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal. The Russians are attacking with forces of former prisoners from the Storm-V units, paratroopers and special forces.
“We do not see a decrease in the number of attacks, the enemy is using both artillery and multiple launch rocket systems... The situation remains tense, however, the 24th King Daniel Brigade is holding its lines,” he said.
As Petrichak added, the occupation army covers the assault operations with artillery shelling, drops from kamikaze drones and Lancets. He noted that the Russians' tactics have not changed - they are conducting "meat assaults".
"We have several armed formations of Russians here. These include special forces, airborne forces, and the first echelon against us is former prisoners... They are trying to advance in small groups," the brigade added.
ARE THE MAIN BATTLES AHEAD?
"The fighting gradually moved towards the Seversky Donets-Donbass Canal, because it is easier to defend from the Canal than to attack. And therefore the main fighting is still ahead," notes military expert Mikhail Zhirokhov.
He also said when the situation could be considered critical: “While the fighting continues up to the Seversky Donetsk-Donbass canal, it is very difficult, very unpleasant, but it only has tactical significance. If the Russians manage to cross the canal, to seize at least some bridgehead, then it will be close to a catastrophe.”
IMPORTANT POINT
If Russian troops manage to capture Chasov Yar, they will begin an offensive on Konstantinovka, Druzhkovka, Kramatorsk and Slavyansk, predicts Voloshin.
“This is a commanding height in the region, control over which will allow Russian occupiers, if they achieve it, to significantly simplify their advance in the direction of Konstantinovka, Slavyansk and Kramatorsk,” said OSUV spokesman Khortytsia.
He also added that these cities are the last stronghold of the Donetsk region, which is now under Ukrainian control.
NOT ENOUGH WEAPONS
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does not consider the situation on the front to be a stalemate, but at the same time notes that Ukraine’s counteroffensive and success on the battlefield depend on the supply of Western weapons.
"This is not a stalemate, this is a problematic situation. A stalemate is hopelessness, and the problem can be solved," Zelensky said in an interview with Bloomberg, which was published on Thursday, July 4.
He said that currently the Ukrainian Defense Forces have 14 under-equipped brigades because the weapons promised by the West are not arriving on time.
"We don't have the weapons that have already been voted on (in the US Congress), talked about, the packages are coming slowly. We are grateful to Congress for its support, but it all has to come," Zelensky said.
A lot of time passes from the decision to buy weapons to their actual delivery, which is “the greatest tragedy of war,” he stressed.

How fortunate, my dear, that our method and theirs align, though they want to make the normies afraid, while we want to improve targetting information for law enforcement — it’s illegal to hold a torchlight parade without a permit, donchaknow.
And it’s awfully interesting how few people they got to join in — it appears that even in Manhattan they’re tired of the KKK-style nonsense.

[GEO.TV] As war rages in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... and threatens to spread to Leb ...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... , Iraqi fighter groups warn they are ready to enter the fray against Israel and the United States.
A field commander of the so-called Islamic Resistance® in Iraq said there would be "escalation for escalation" in the event of a full-scale war in Lebanon.

Iraqi political scientist Ali al-Baidar agreed that a major war between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah, if it happens, "will not be limited to Lebanese territory".

[REGNUM] American strategic drones regularly circle over the Black Sea. They conduct reconnaissance and indicate targets for high-precision weapons that the West supplies to the Ukrainian Armed Forces for strikes on our country, the Russian Defense Ministry said. On June 28, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov instructed the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces to submit proposals for measures to promptly respond to provocations. At the same time, in addition to aircraft and drones, the Ukrainian side is also being assisted by a large satellite group of NATO countries.

There are two ways to counter space espionage: by shooting down satellites in orbit or by jamming satellite terminals on the ground.
The traditional satellite defense strategy had been to target the control and relay ground stations rather than the satellites themselves, because they are few. Musk offers a distributed control system for his constellations making them less vulnerable though loss of the Redmond WA facility would be catastrophic.

[REGNUM] The battle for the city of Chasov Yar, which has been going on for three months, is entering a new phase. Russian troops have driven out the Ukrainian Armed Forces units that were holding the line in the urban area and forced them to abandon the Kanal microdistrict. It is located on the left bank of the Seversky Donets-Donbass Canal and divides the city into two unequal parts. The retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was initially reported by unofficial sources on both sides of the conflict, and on July 3 the withdrawal was confirmed by the command of the Ukrainian army. [Breitbart] A Carnival Cruise ship’s dining hall plunged into chaos when a large group of women got into an all-out brawl, brazenly hurling chairs and fists at each other as shocked passengers and staff watched.
A six-and-a-half minute video captured by Nick Richardson, a guest on the early June voyage to Honduras and Cozumel, Mexico, shows the moment furniture began sailing through the air in the dining hall of the ship.
The fight included at least six women, with a few men who appeared to be trying to break it up.
Only about three apparent Carnival security guards were at the scene, but their efforts to stop the violence were virtually futile against the angry pack of women pounding on each other.
Richardson recorded the aftermath of the fight, showing broken plates and upside-down chairs as he helped the staff pick up the mess.
“This is just what happens at 3 in the morning when you got a bunch of drunk girls from Tampa,” Richardson, who was on the cruise with his fiancee and three children, told the New York Post. Continues..Vid here. It was everything I expected it to be..

A comment on this story in the Daily Mail summed it up: "Carnival is the Section 8 of the cruise industry."
When I saw the headline, I knew the ship involved would be a Caribbean cruise, which I'll never ever go on. I hope they all got kicked off the ship at the next port.

I read "CATFIGHT" and thought it was a furry convention. But NO! It was melanin poisoning and they didn't have a Waffle House to use. You can get the girl out of the ghetto but you can't get the ghetto out of the girl.

I knew right off the demographic of those involved when I read brawl. Some people just can't be civilized. I don't mean the whole demographic, but this does seem "normal" for a significant portion.

Start checking the passengers for criminal records before being allowed on board. I bet every one of these ghetto girls have multiple arrests and / or convictions.
Both sides are playacting to placate the Biden team while they get on with their war on the ground.
[NYPOST] Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told President Biden that he has sent a negotiation team to have indirect talks with Hamas about a cease-fire deal, according to reports — as a possible hostage swap looked closer than it has it weeks.
The prime minister also told Biden that Israel is committed to “ending the war only after achieving all of its goals,” the Times of Israel reports. Netanyahu previously said that the goal was to destroy Hamas and ensure Gaza never again poses a threat to the Jewish state.
Both the US and Israeli governments are examining the Iran-backed terror group’s proposal, which was sent over to Egyptian and Qatari negotiators on Wednesday. A US official familiar with the matter called the proposal “constructive,” but in need of more work.
[GEO.TV] The Hamas said it has sent new "ideas" to Qatari mediators aimed at ending the nearly nine-month Gaza war with Israel.
Israel confirmed that it was "evaluating" Hamas "comments" on a deal to see its hostages in the Palestinian territory freed and would reply.
With the death toll from nearly nine months of war mounting and conditions worsening daily for Gazans, both sides are under increased international pressure to agree a ceasefire.
Israel says there can be no halt to hostilities until Hamas releases all of its hostages.

[NYPOST] The New York City Department of Health has scrapped a requirement that fetuses aborted at or after 24 weeks be considered “human remains” and sent to funeral homes for burial or cremation.
Consistent with their goal of becoming the abortion capitol of the eastern U.S. It’s a potential income stream for a region whose historical income streams are being taxed and regulated out of existence.
The 24-week mark is generally considered the point of potential viability to survive early birth and until the rule change, it was mandatory to send such late-term aborted fetuses to funeral homes for burial or cremation.
Medical facilities will now instead be allowed to dispose of the “conceptus” — the term used by the health department — on premises, as is the case for earlier term aborted fetuses, relieving the patient or family of the responsibility and cost.

Or they can run a side business selling the baby parts for experiments and for weirdos. Maybe they can keep them in jars in their garage like Gosnell and the guy in Ohio. Did they ever figure out what was going on in DC? I didn’t think so.

[Regnum] The Taliban movement is Russia's ally in the fight against terrorism, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on July 4.
Somebody is grandstanding, because he can’t possibly stupid enough to believe that nonsense.
According to him, the Taliban movement has taken on certain obligations and “in general there are issues that require constant attention both within the country and the international community, but in general it is necessary to proceed from the fact that this movement controls power in Afghanistan.”
“And in this sense, the Taliban are certainly our allies in the fight against terrorism,” the head of state said, answering journalists’ questions.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on May 27, the Foreign Ministry and the Justice Ministry reported to President Vladimir Putin about the possibility of excluding the Taliban movement from the list of banned organizations. As Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted later, the Taliban are now the real power in Afghanistan. Russia and the Central Asian countries are not indifferent to what is happening in that country, he added.
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev noted on May 28 that Moscow is close to establishing full-fledged relations with the Taliban. The politician recalled that at the beginning of the century, the Russian side considered the Taliban a terrorist organization, considering the United States a partner in the fight against extremism.
[SUDANTRIBUNE] The Sudan ...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans... ese army and its allied armed movements announced on Thursday the recapture of A-Dinder, a city in Sennar State, southeast Sudan, five days after it fell under the control of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The RSF had seized the town, located on the border between Sennar and Gedaref states in eastern Sudan, and engaged in widespread violations, including looting money, agricultural crops, gold jewellery, mobile phones, and cars, as part of a larger campaign impacting multiple villages.
Video clips released by sources affiliated with the army and the joint force revealed the destruction inflicted by the RSF on civilian property, including cars, houses, and shops. Other footage showed combat vehicles and cycle of violences belonging to the RSF, which were destroyed by the joint army and allied forces following intense battles in different neighbourhoods.
A statement from the joint force declared that they had "liberated A-Dinder and pursued the Janjaweed militia to the entrance of Sinjah," a nearby town. They also recovered looted property and urged citizens to return home, promising protection.
The joint force, composed of the Sudan Liberation Movement led by Minni Minawi, the Justice and Equality Movement led by Gibril Ibrahim, and a faction of the Gathering of Sudan Liberation Forces, has a strong presence in al-Faw of Gedaref State.
Strategically located about 25 kilometres from Sinjah, the capital of Sennar State, A-Dinder serves as a vital link between the Sennar and Blue Nile regions and eastern Sudan.
The A-Dinder Bridge, spanning the Blue Nile, became an escape route for thousands of civilians fleeing RSF abuses in Sennar State. They sought refuge in the eastern states.
Previously, on June 29, the RSF took control of Sinjah after moving their forces along dirt roads from the Jebel Moya areas, about 40 kilometres south of Sennar city. After capturing the army base and local government headquarters, RSF members reportedly engaged in looting and terrorizing residents.

[SUDANTRIBUNE] The International Planned Parenthood ...has received federal funding since 1970, when President Richard Nixon signed into law the Family Planning Services and Population Research Act. It is sometimes described as the gynecololgical wing of the Democratic party... Federation (IPPF) said attacks on one of its healthcare clinics in Sudan ...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans... occurred this week, with several staff and volunteers from its member association in the country either injured or killed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
IPPF is a global healthcare provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all. We are a movement of 150 Member Associations and Collaborative Partners with a presence in over 146 countries.
In a statement on its website, the health provider said its clinic in the North Darfur capital, El Fasher has been destroyed, meaning there is one less option for women and girls to receive lifesaving sexual and reproductive healthcare in the region.
For over a month, ongoing battles around El Fasher have been taking place. The RSF have reportedly been indiscriminately shelling military and civilian targets.
A number of incidences are mentioned, with one being the death of Mahasen Abdul Jabbar, a volunteer linked to Sudan Family Planning Association (SFPA).
He was killed after being hit by a gunshot at the clinic while Dr Daifallah Mohammed, a volunteer family medicine specialist died as a result of the war
One of the nurses, it said, was hit with shrapnel and has been transferred to hospital in a critical condition and all contact with her has reportedly been lost.
The RSF has also been kidnapping patients, but their whereabouts unknown.
"We are devastated to learn of another attack on one of our clinics in Sudan, and the injuries and loss of lives to our staff and volunteers. Healthcare facilities, and most importantly, healthcare workers, must never be the target of war," Dr. Alvaro Bermejo, the Deputy Director of IPPF, said.
"The sexual and reproductive health and lives of 800,000 people in North Darfur — including women, children, and people with disabilities — are hanging in the balance as bombing and shelling cause widespread harm to civilians and severely disrupt the essential health services they very much depend on," he added.

[SUDANTRIBUNE] Abdel Wahid al-Nur, leader of the Sudan ...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. Liberation Movement (SLM), launched an initiative on Wednesday to address the dire situation in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state. The initiative calls for the withdrawal of all fighters and the handover of security responsibilities for the region’s historic capital to the SLM.
Since May 10th, El Fasher has witnessed violent mostly peacefulfestivities between the Sudanese army and its allies from armed movements that signed the Juba Peace Agreement. These festivities have resulted in the deaths of many civilians and the displacement of thousands.
The fighting between the warring parties, compounded by the siege imposed on El Fasher by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), has caused a deep humanitarian crisis. There are increasing warnings of famine threatening the population of North Darfur state.
In a statement issued late Wednesday, seen by "Sudan Tribune," Abdel Wahid al-Nur stated, "We are putting forward an initiative to address the humanitarian situation in El Fasher and its surroundings, and to protect the remaining citizens and infrastructure. This requires the withdrawal of all fighting forces and their allies from El Fasher and its surroundings, as the city has no military value to any party."
Al Nur clarified that the SLM forces, as a neutral party, would assume the responsibility of protecting citizens, providing security and reassurance, and working with others to address the situation caused by the war. They would also facilitate the entry of international humanitarian organizations to assist the victims who are facing death by bullets, hunger, and disease.
He suggested that El Fasher be transformed into a demilitarized zone and a centre for managing humanitarian affairs and relief for all areas of Darfur, Kordofan, White Nile, and al-Jazirah. This is due to its geographical proximity, the presence of paved roads, and the potential to efficiently deliver relief and humanitarian aid to other regions of Sudan.
