[Beitbart] An illegal alien out of jail on bail in New Mexico is now accused of beheading a man and then kicking the man’s head around like a soccer ball, Breitbart News has learned.
That’s the kind of thing the Mexican narco gangs do...
Joel Arciniega-Saenz, a 25-year-old illegal alien, was indicted by a grand jury this week after being arrested for allegedly murdering 51-year-old James Garcia in Dona Ana County, New Mexico, the day after Father’s Day.
According to court records obtained by KTSM 9 News, Arciniega-Saenz is accused of decapitating Garcia before mutilating the rest of his body and kicking his head around like a soccer ball. At the time of the murder, Arciniega-Saenz was out on bail, according to Las Cruces Sun-News.
When arrested after Garcia’s mutilated body was found 10 yards from his head, Arciniega-Saenz allegedly confessed to the murder, telling investigators that he was seeking revenge because he believed Garcia had raped his wife four years prior.
They do that in narco gangs, too. What odds both parties are illegals and gang members?
At the park where Garcia’s body was found, Arciniega-Saenz allegedly confessed to confronting the man before stabbing him with a switchblade, decapitating him, and then playing “soccer with his head,” according to an affidavit.
Arciniega-Saenz allegedly told investigators he kicked Garcia’s decapitated head at about 14 vehicles nearby.
CBS 4 News reported that Arciniega-Saenz had an extensive criminal record. In 2017, he was accused of first-degree murder but a year later, the charges were dropped. In May, Arciniega-Saenz was arrested when he was caught throwing rocks at businesses.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) seemingly confirmed to Breitbart News that Arciniega-Saenz is an illegal alien in the United States with an ICE detainer on him, requesting that local authorities do not release him from jail until they can assume custody.
“Under federal law, ICE has the authority to lodge immigration detainers with law enforcement partners who have custody of individuals arrested on criminal charges and who ICE has probable cause to believe are removable noncitizens,” an ICE official told Breitbart News.
“The detainer form asks the other law enforcement agency to notify ICE in advance of release and to maintain custody of the noncitizen for a brief period of time so that ICE can take custody of that person in a safe and secure setting upon release from that agency’s custody,” the official said.
Arciniega-Saenz is being held at the Dona Ana County Detention Center without bail.
[JustTheNews] Emails state Hunter Biden met, strategized with Blue Star Strategies executives who claimed they had no contact.
Hunter Biden memos on a laptop recovered by the FBI directly conflict with the congressional testimony of two key executives at a Democrat-connected firm who asserted they did not deal with the current president's son while working for a Ukrainian energy firm where the younger Biden served on the board.
The questions about the testimony from Blue Star Strategies officials comes as the Justice Department is reportedly investigating whether the firm violated the Foreign Agent Registration Act with its work contacting federal officials on behalf of the Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings.
Blue Star, a lobbying and strategy firm with deep Democrat connections dating to the Bill Clinton era, was hired in late 2015 by Burisma in an effort to improve its image and fight corruption allegations the Ukrainian firm had been facing since early 2014 when Hunter Biden joined its board, according to documents previously published by Just the News.
Blue Star's work later became the focus of a Senate investigation that concluded last year that Hunter Biden's role at Burisma while his father oversaw Ukraine policy as vice president created a conflict of interest that undercut U.S. efforts to fight corruption in the former Soviet republic.
Late last August — just over two months before the presidential election won by Joe Biden — the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committee summoned two representatives from Blue Star Strategies to testify on the firm's relationship with Burisma.
Blue Star's Karen Tramontano and Sally Painter were asked about the firm's contacts with Hunter Biden while he served on Burisma's board.
Tramontano testified that "at no time did I or anyone else in the firm working on behalf of Burisma collaborate or coordinate the development or implementation of our work with Hunter Biden. ... Mr. Biden played no role in Blue Star Strategies' work on behalf of Burisma."
Under questioning from the Democratic counsel on the Senate committee, Painter gave similar testimony.
But emails, calendar notations and memos obtained by Just the News from the Hunter Biden laptop now in possession of the FBI state clearly that Hunter Biden had direct conversations with the Blue Star team on several occasions as its was beginning its work in November and December of 2015.
Those conversations included details about the Burisma-Blue Star contract as well as specific strategies, such as countering the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine's claims of corruption.
Israeli Defence Force (IDF) said the swarm was used to identify Hamas targets for guided mortar weapons
The swarm requires only a single human pilot to guide them to their target
The drones fly as one integrated network guided by artificial intelligence
Comes just weeks after Israel announced a laser defence system that can shoot down enemy drones and missiles
The IDF commander told local news outlets that the swarm unit has already carried out more than 30 successful operations and that the IDF are planning to make more drone swarms available to support forces.

What I expected, despite it being Harris County, it's still Texas. Yeah you occasionally get some BLM types on juries but the Hispanic population here is very much pro-self defense, especially in regards to kids.
[American Greatness] This Fourth of July holiday we might pause for a moment from our festivities to ask how we collectively lost our minds over the last 15 months—and are we yet regaining any semblance of our sanity?
A pandemic caused by the leak of a Chinese-engineered virus and its coverup was cause enough for nationwide madness. But the spread of COVID-19 was followed by a nationalized and often politicized "flatten-the-curve" quarantine that soon ensured a stir-crazy nation. Tens of millions saw no people, and heard nothing human other than what was fed to them through television and computers. No wonder they grew paranoid, conspiratorial, and angry, and soon forgot the therapeutic nature of personal interaction and the shared humanity of being in the physical presence of others.
Our first self-induced recession came next and lasted over a year, destroying all the hard work of the prior three years. Next ensued the death of George Floyd and a subsequent 120 days of rioting, looting, and arson. The immediate costs were $2 billion in damage, over 25 deaths, 14,000 arrests, and a Lord of the Flies anarchy with no-go zones in our major cities. A McCarthyite frenzy followed, as remote-controlled America hunted down the supposed "racists" among us—while career agendas, personal grudges, and ideological hatred fueled the cancel culture.
All this was antecedent to our first election in which Election Day voting was incidental, not essential, to the outcome. This was also our first presidential campaign in which the incumbent was stricken by a pandemic virus. And his opponent, due to his age and infirmity, simply reverted to the 19th-century style of staying home and outsourcing the electioneering to the Democratic-media complex. Biden’s basement became the equivalent of the "front-porch" of homebound candidates of a century and more ago.
The derangement was then capped off, first, by a buffoonish riot at the Capitol followed by a Reichstag-fire style militarization of Washington, D.C., in a "never let a crisis go to waste" psychodrama. Then came a novel second and unprecedented presidential impeachment, without a special prosecutor, witnesses, or cross-examinations. It was based on the myth of a deadly "armed insurrection" fueled by President Trump, which purportedly led to the murder of a police officer. Later most of the writs of the House impeachment were proven fantasies, from the idea of "armed" and "well-organized" to "murderous" revolutionaries. The only mysteries were the identity of the unnamed officer who fatally shot an unarmed female protester and military veteran, and why the government has still not released thousands of hours of video detailing the riot.
That impeachment charade was followed by a trial in the Senate—without the chief justice presiding—of a president, who was no longer in office.
The finale was the promise of a "moderate" good ol’ Joe Biden from Scranton—the supposed correction to Trump. In reality, Biden’s first 150 days proved, as the cynics predicted, that he was mere cover and conveyance for the implementation of the most radical agenda since the 1930s.
So we can cut America some slack when we ponder why the entire country is now descending into a collective madness, given the amount of propaganda and media distortion pumped out during the quarantine, and since.

Note well that the 'Bill of Rights' came years after thousands of the Tory Royalists were driven from the country in the aftermath of the War of Independence. Today those same snakes and their offspring have no problem with driving people out of work and communities. Its a do on to others before they do on to you.

[Just-the-News] Larry Sanger laments overwhelming sourcing to "globalist, progressive mainstream sources" and says site has become "an opponent of vigorous democracy."
Larry Sanger, the co-founder of Wikipedia, is warning that the online encyclopedia has become too one-sided and overloaded with liberal sources in a way that harms democracy.
"In short, and with few exceptions, only globalist, progressive mainstream sources — and sources friendly to globalist progressivism — are permitted," Sanger wrote on his website in an article last week headlined "Wikipedia is more one-sided than ever."
"It is not too far to say that Wikipedia, like many other deeply biased institutions of our brave new digital world, has made itself into a kind of thought police that has de facto shackled conservative viewpoints with which they disagree," he added. "Democracy cannot thrive under such conditions: I maintain that Wikipedia has become an opponent of vigorous democracy."
Sanger cited as examples the entries for Black Lives Matter, the 2020 election, former President Donald Trump's two impeachments, and other politically divisive topics.
He also lamented that conservative sites like Fox News, the New York Post, and the Federalist are banned as official sources.
"Those might be contrarian or conservative, but they are hardly 'radical'; they are still mainstream," he wrote. "So, how on earth can such viewpoints ever be given an airing on Wikipedia? Answer: often, they cannot, not if there are no 'reliable sources' available to report about them."

According to the Kan public broadcaster, Israel’s new government is keen to expand the list of donor countries beyond Qatar. Among the countries approached are Germany and a second unnamed European country, an Israeli source told the station.
It was unclear if other countries have also been approached.
The report noted that the money would not go to Hamas, considered a terror group by Israel, most of the Persian Gulf and much of the West, but rather directly to Gaza residents. Unlike the Qatari cash handouts, these funds would be dispersed via vouchers redeemable at Gazook banks, though its unclear whether the mechanism would provide sufficient oversight over where the money goes.

Heavily-armed criminal gangs often attack villages to loot, steal cattle and abduct for ransom in northwest and central Nigeria, but since the start of the year they have increasingly targeted schools and colleges.
The attackers scaled a fence to break into the Bethel Baptist High School in Kaduna state in the early hours of Monday, taking away most of the 165 pupils boarding there overnight.
“The kidnappers took away 140 students, only 25 students escaped. We still have no idea where the students were taken,” Emmanuel Paul, a teacher at the school told AFP.
Kaduna state police spokesman Mohammed Jalige confirmed the early Monday morning attack, but he could not give details on the number of pupils taken.
“Tactical police teams went after the kidnappers,” he said. “We are still on the rescue mission.”
Around 1,000 students and pupils have been abducted in different Nigerian states since December last year. Most have been released after negotiations with local officials, although some are still being held.
Bethel Baptist High School is a co-education college established by Baptist church in 1991 at Maramara village in Chikun district outside the state capital Kaduna.

Well, the Chinese keep the fires warming about the last the clash with Japan, wherein a smaller Japanese army dominated a good portion of China. [IsraelTimes] An explosion Monday at a state-owned warehouse outside of Tehran caused a major fire at the site, according to unconfirmed preliminary reports out of Iran.
Footage uploaded to social media showed large billows of smoke above the Iranian factory.
No additional details were immediately available regarding the source of the blast or the purpose of the warehouse, but the site is near factories of several major companies.
Monday’s incident was the latest in a series of mysterious blasts and malfunctions in Iran, many of which have been blamed by Tehran on Israel.
Last month, a massive fire broke out at the state-owned Tondgooyan Petrochemical Co. oil refinery, which serves Tehran. A blast was believed to have struck a pipeline for liquefied petroleum gas at the facility. No additional information was provided then either.
In May, a petrochemical site in southern Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Numerous explosions have been reported over the past few years in complexes vital to Iran’s nuclear program and its energy and military sectors, notably including alleged sabotage at the Natanz nuclear plant.
The most recent such incident was a drone attack last month that reportedly damaged an Iranian nuclear facility in Karaj, said to have been used for assembling centrifuges for uranium enrichment.

Brave villagers.
Two farmers were kidnapped from an area north of Gulala (Jalawla) sub-district.
"The family of the kidnapped knew ISIS [Arabic acronym for ISIS] had taken the abductees to Ibrahim Samin village near Qara Tapa town. To retrieve the abductees, they had asked the residents of Umm Hunta for assistance," Brigadier General Nihad Mohammed, spokesperson for Diyala police command, told Rudaw.
A group then went to where the murderous Moslems were holding the two hostages in Qara Tapa, and "forced them to release the abductees, but ISIS then set up a trap and killed five residents of those villages," Mohammed added.
Ahmed Zargushi, mayor of Gulala, told Rudaw that ISIS murderous Moslems in the area are small in number, "but they have a lot of movement especially between the villages of Lesser Umm Hunta and Greater Umm Hunta."
Zargushi added that security in the area is under Iraqi control.

The KRSC also released the voice recording of a person they claimed to be ISIS spokesperson Hamza al-Qaraishi, purportedly asking ISIS fighters to free the group’s prisoners in Iraq and Syria.

[WashingtonGazette] Of America’s 46 presidents, only one shares a birthday with the country itself—and he was a mighty fine one at that. Calvin Coolidge, our 30th, was born on July 4, 1872. In the summer of 2023, we will note the centennial of his assuming the presidency but it’s never too soon or too late to celebrate this remarkable man.
Because Joos doing something perfectly legal and acceptable when anyone else does it is heinous and must be shunned.
[AlAhram] Norway's largest pension fund announced Monday it had divested assets in 16 companies for their links to Israeli settlements in the West Bank, including telecom equipment giant Motorola.
"Motorola and other companies risk complicity in international law violations in occupied Paleostine," KLP, which manages some 95 billion dollars (80 billion euros) worth of assets, said in a statement.
The divestment follows the February 2020 UN publication of a list of 112 companies with activities linked to Israeli settlements, considered illegal under international law.
Israel's government has denounced the publication of the list -- which included companies like Airbnb, Expedia, Motorola and Tripadvisor -- as a "contemptible effort".
"Divesting from Motorola Solutions was a very straightforward decision over its surveillance role in the occupied territories," KLP said, arguing the company provide software used in border surveillance.
KLP also divested telecom operators offering services within the West Bank as they contributed to making "the settlements attractive residential areas."
These included Bezeq, Cellcom Israel and Partner Communications, and Altice Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... -- which was delisted from the Amsterdam stock exchange in January.
Also included are five banks that facilitated or financed the construction of housing and infrastructure in occupied territories, as well as engineering and construction groups, including the French multinational Alstom.
In total, the Norwegian fund's divestments of shares and company bonds amounted to $32 million.
"Companies have a responsibility to respect and protect human right in all countries that they are operating in, regardless if the state itself is upholding these rights," KLP analyst Kiran Aziz said.
"Conflict can mean a particularly high risk of human rights ...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions... violations. Companies operating in conflict zones must therefore exercise particular caution to avoid involvement in human rights abuses and to protect vulnerable individuals," she added.
In late June, KLP announced its divestment of the Indian port and logistics group Adani Ports because of its links to the Burmese military junta.
Another Norwegian fund, the sovereign wealth fund, which is the largest in the world, has also excluded several companies in the past because of their connections to Israeli settlements.
More than 600,000 Israeli settlers live in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, where tensions often flare up between settlers and the Paleostinian population.

[SHAFAQ] An executive order issued by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed that the latter accepted the resignation of Electricity Minister Majed Hantoush from his position.
The Ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Moussa, told Shafaq News Agency, last week that Hantoush formally submitted his resignation to Al-Kadhimi following the deterioration of the electricity situation.
The resignation came after the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, called in a tweet to dismiss the Minister of Electricity from his post. al-Sadr's supporters then launched a campaign on social media to remove Hantoush from his post.
Iraq has been suffering from the electricity shortage crisis for decades as a result of successive wars, the instability of the security situation in the country, as well as rampant corruption.
Iraq produces between 19 and 21 thousand megawatts of electric power, while the actual need exceeds 30 thousand megawatts, according to officials in the electricity sector.

We weren't there to civilize them. We showed up to pound the Taliban into the ground in a way acceptable under the rules written by lawyers who now rule the military in the same way that they dominate the civilian world. The issue isn't that we were there - it's that lawyers are running our wars.
We've also brainwashed ourselves into believing that atrocity doesn't work. Or course it does. If it did not, how did Alexander build an empire that lasted centuries? How did Muhammad build a religion that has lasted 1300 years, using Alexander's rules of engagement? Has it occurred to anyone that the elimination of 10% and 5% of Germany's and Japan's populations during WWII had anything to do with their relative quiescence afterwards?

Many moons ago, a huge-ass batch of bad capacitors from some Asian factory got into an insane number of computer mother boards and graphics cards which all died over time as the capacitors failed. Makes me wonder if Iran got a bad batch of grounding straps or something, what with all the infrastructure failures they've been having lately.
Meanwhile...
In a dark corner on the back shelf in the supply closet near the control room, a blinking red LED timer decrements, slowly counting down towards zero.
[KhaamaPress] Local sources confirmed that at least 16 security personnel have been killed in an attack on a checkpoint at the Salma Dam in western Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... province.

Sources claimed that the checkpoint and its equipment had fallen into the hands of Taliban.
The Afghan-India Friendship Dam, which is 20 km in length and three kilometers in width, has a water storage capacity of 640 million cubic meters.
The Salma Dam which is a major project in Afghanistan, is one of India’s most expensive infrastructure projects in Afghanistan in recent decades.
The dam, which is 20 km in length and three kilometers in width, has the capacity to irrigate 200,000 acres of farmland from the Chishti Sharif District of Herat to the Zulfiqar area on the Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. So far, both the Taliban and government officials have not commented on the matter.
This comes as the hydroelectric dam projects have been a target of Taliban attacks in the past, but the Taliban claimed that there was no plan to demolish the Salma Dam.
[ToloNews] The British government is poised to keep a small special forces contingent on the ground in Afghanistan, The Telegraph has reported.
This comes as the US and its NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions... allies pulled out of the coalition's main base in Bagram district of Parwan province on Friday.
The UK is now reportedly considering the retention of an "advisory group" of elite special forces soldiers in the country, the report said.
Citing a former Special Air Service (SAS) soldier, who until recently was stationed in Afghanistan, The Telegraph reported that the group would "provide training to Afghan units and deploy with them on the ground as advisers."
The deployment will be open-ended, they said, meaning the forces would stay "as long as [the government] continue to see value" in having them stationed there.
The decision whether to withdraw all the UK’s remaining 750 soldiers from Afghanistan for good or leave some troops behind amid the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... ’s ongoing offensive is yet to be made, a senior military source told the paper.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson ...pro-Brexit British prime minister, succeeding no-Brexit Theresa May. BoJo is noted as much for his sparkling personality and his hair as for his Conservative policies.... , who has the final say on the matter, is expected to make an announcement at the National Security Council meeting on Monday.
Earlier reports in the UK media suggested that British troops might exit Afghanistan by July 4.
Officials in the UK, however, did not commit to a certain timeframe, saying that London "reserves the right" to dispatch troops back to Afghanistan, either as part of a coalition or unilaterally, if parts of the country are overrun by terrorists, the report added.
In the meantime, the former head of the British Secret Intelligence Service, MI6, said the potential for hard boy groups to be able to regenerate in Afghanistan as US and British troops leave the territory would pose an international threat.
Alex Younger told Sky News that if such groups were allowed to regenerate in Afghanistan following the departure of the international forces, "it will lead to more threat on the shores of our country and our allies."
Lord Richard Dannatt, the former Chief of the General Staff from 2006 to 2009 said Britannia's mistake had been to allow itself to be diverted into Iraq in 2003 instead of investing in the future of Afghanistan.
"This is generally going to be a civil war, an internal struggle, and it's up to the Afghan people to decide do they want to go back under the Taliban or do they want to live that better life that we've shown them glimpses of," he told Sky News on Monday.

This leads into the question of what our military is going to do with the ginormous special forces establishment created in the aftermath of 9/11. You can't reassign those guys to the motor pool and expect to keep them.

[American Conservative] Happy Fourth of July! Falls Church in Northern Virginia just renamed two public schools, George Mason High School and Thomas Jefferson Elementary, to cancel the men who gave us this day.
The namesake George Mason was a Founder, a delegate to the Constitutional Convention, and author of the Virginia Declaration of Rights, the basis for the Bill of Rights. Nearby George Mason University is still named after him, but Falls Church is stripping his name from its schools because in addition to all he did to create the United States, he was a slaveholder. Same for Thomas Jefferson, Founder, principal author of the Declaration of Independence, first secretary of State, third president of the United States, and famously, rapist and slaveholder, Joker without the makeup.
The people of Falls Church who made these changes probably mean well in a 2021-ish kind of way. The city is 72 percent white (and only 4.5 percent black.) An amazing 78 percent of adults in Falls Church have a bachelor’s degree or higher, and most work for the Federal government in nearby Washington, D.C. (George Washington and six other presidents held slaves.) The city has an energetic farmer’s market with a proposal pending to add an "informational booth about how communities of color have less access to healthy foods" and votes solidly Democrat.

BBC:A huge explosion has been seen off the coast of Azerbaijan in the Caspian Sea, sending plumes of black smoke and flames into the sky. The blast, which erupted in an area full of oil and gas fields on Sunday, was caused by a mud volcano, the government says. None of the oil farms were damaged and no-one was hurt. Mud volcanoes are formed underground by water, minerals and flammable gases, which can ignite when they erupt.
[SHAFAQ] The Security Media Cell issued a statement regarding the Ain al-Assad Air Base attack, west of al-Anbar.
The cell said in a statement that the security forces opened an investigation into the incident.
The security forces seized a vehicle left behind in al-Heet carrying the launchpad that launched the attacks on the base, according to the statement.
Earlier today, Katyusha rockets reportedly landed inside the Ain al-Asad airbase in western Iraq.
A source told Shafaq News agency that the airbase hosting U.S. and other international forces was targeted by a rocket, without leaving any casualties.
An initial report by the U.S.-led Coalition said, "At approx. 2:45 PM local time, Ain al-Assad Air Base was attacked by three rockets. The rockets landed on the base perimeter."
"There are no injuries and damage is being assessed," it added.
On April 8, the air base was bombarded by 24 rockets but no party grabbed credit of the attack. The United States accuses Iran-backed gangs of launching regular rocket attacks against its troops and interests in Iraq.
[GatewayPundit] A Muslim Brotherhood member in the Tunisian parliament attacked a female member of another party while in session.
According to Israel Unwired:
This video is being pointed out by Sarah Idan, former Miss Iraq. She knows the dangers of oppressive Arabs firsthand. Idan is pointing out how the Muslim Brotherhood treats women in the Middle East. When someone criticizes a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, this is the response: Violence. Can you imagine a parliament member in Europe hitting a woman who didn’t agree with him? That is not how civilized societies act. That is not how the Western World acts.
Al Subhee Samara, a Muslim Brotherhood parliament member attacked a woman Abeer Mousa who’s leader of an opposition political party who criticized him.
This is how the Muslim Brotherhood treat women in Middle East then they tell the West they’re “reformers” & “freedom fighters”. https://t.co/ihRTlbIfNI

[Epoch News] "Made in China" is a phrase with which all U.S. consumers are intimately familiar.
In past decades, that term referred to major branded products sold at U.S. stores manufactured by factories located in China. For example, a Matchbox car bought from Toys "R" Us and made in China by Mattel. Today, U.S. consumers are increasingly purchasing Chinese-branded products from Chinese stores directly over the internet, and both Beijing and the world’s largest online retailer—Amazon.com—have been facilitating that trend. Sure - they make money on every transaction. On Amazon, 50 percent of all global sellers are based in China, according to data from Marketplace Pulse, a website that provides e-commerce market data. Those sellers store their goods and products in the United States at Amazon’s warehouses, so the items are shipped domestically and qualify for fast "Prime" shipping—also dubbed as the "Fulfillment by Amazon" program. Amazon dot commie.
On paper, it shouldn’t be shocking that many products on Amazon are from China. But there’s a transparency concern. Since the sellers all market their products on Amazon’s local e-commerce websites, consumers may be unaware that they’re purchasing their products directly from Chinese stores.
Amazon has also actively courted Chinese sellers.
Amazon has built a Chinese-language website specifically catering to Chinese sellers, offering tutorials and guidance on setting up storefronts. Amazon also holds "seller conferences" in several cities across China to gather current and potential sellers for education and networking sessions.
The Seattle-based giant doesn’t disclose the number of gross sales made by third parties (non-Amazon sales) or the number of sales made by Chinese third-party sellers, so the magnitude of China-originated sales is unknown. A representative from Amazon declined to provide China-based sales numbers in an emailed statement.

In a statement issued on Monday, the commander of the PMF Operations in al-Anbar, Qasim Musleh, said, "a joint force of the PMF brigades 13,17,18, and 19 circles al-Ratka which witnessed movements of the terrorist organization of ISIS," hinting at the attacks that targeted the PMF fighters earlier today.
"The remnants of the ISIS terrorist organization targeted a water truck without causing injuries," he added, "our forces besieged the area in which the gunnies are located and exchanged fire with them."

[SHAFAQ] The Deputy Governor of Diyala, Karim Ali Zangana, denounced neglecting the security gaps between Diyala and Kurdistan Region, which have become "death traps" for citizens.
Zangana told Shafaq News Agency, "condemning and denouncing are useless, they have become flawed, given that there are no immediate, rapid and objective solutions to curb criminal acts in Khanaqin, Hamrin Basin, Sheikh Baba and the outskirts of Qara Tappa."
Zangana attributed the causes of the attacks to "the weak intelligence and security effort, in addition to the small number of security forces deployed in the vast security gaps areas, where faceless myrmidons roam freely."
The Deputy Governor of Diyala called for developing solutions, and "holding the Joint Operations Command legal and military responsibility for what is happening in these areas, as it had announced earlier that there was coordination between the central government and the regional government to secure these areas."
Zangana called on politicians to "stop political bidding and bickering that is not in the interest of citizens and their security."

[ToloNews] The New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... on Sunday wrote that US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in a meeting with the current commander of US and NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A single organization with differing goals, equipment, language, doctrine, and structure.... forces Gen. Austin Miller, Joint Chiefs Chaiman Gen. Mark A. Milley and Centcom head Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr. discussed Afghanistan and specifically ways to buffer the impact of the US pullout on the Afghan people.
On Friday, the US military left Bagram Airbase in Parwan province, north of Kabul, effectively ending US operations, although a contingent of US military personnel have been left behind to guard the US embassy.
Austin ordered a series of steps to slow the pace of the final withdrawal from America’s longest war, said The New York Times.
The measures are intended to buy some time to soften the drawdown’s psychological shock to the Afghans, and to extend at least through August some involvement by the American military, despite there being no combat troops, equipment or bases in the country.
The first measure, said The Times report, sought to highlight Biden’s message to Afghan leaders that the United States was not abandoning the country at a moment when intelligence analysts predict the fall of the Afghan government to the Taliban ...Arabic for students... in months.
General Miller will remain in Afghanistan for "at least a couple more weeks," said John F. Kirby, Pentagon front man, to aid the transition of the American military mission from warfighting to two new objectives — protecting an ongoing US diplomatic presence in Kabul and maintaining ties with the Afghan military.
The Times quoted Pentagon officials saying that Gen. Miller will turn over his command to Gen. McKenzie who will assume "at least through August" the same authorities General Miller had to carry out Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s against Al Qaeda, the ISIS and, in very limited circumstances, Taliban fighters.
General McKenzie will be authorized, at least through the September deadline, to move 300 additional troops into Afghanistan if needed for security or emergencies, like the possible evacuation of the American Embassy, Pentagon officials said as cited by The Times.
The Times said that in the next few weeks, Gen. Miller will travel within Afghanistan, and to Brussels to brief NATO officials on the transition, and to the forward headquarters in Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... , Pentagon officials said.
[KhaamaPress] On Sunday, a tweet by the US Embassy in Kabul confirmed that the US Embassy in Kabul "is open and will remain open."
The statement noted that there is no plan to close the US embassy in Afghanistan. However, man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them... based on reports on Saturday, the Embassy will be closed and US personnel, along with thousands of other Americans in the country, will leave Afghanistan.
The US Embassy said that claims that US officials stepped up work on a possible evacuation of the US Embassy in Kabul are false and rejected the emergency evacuation plan.
In a statement, the US embassy said: "The US Embassy in Kabul is open and will remain open. As directed by President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. S You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier... , we will continue to have a robust diplomatic presence in Kabul to carry out the range of work we do with the government and people of Afghanistan. We have no plans to close the Embassy.
Wall Street Journal had reported on Friday that US government plans for emergency evacuation from the Kabul based embassy after the last soldiers in Bagram airbase left Afghanistan for US.

In other words, they can eke out a few more months of profit.
I do not know how this was allowed to happen. I was sure it was going to be called off at the last moment. How is the CIA going to stay next to the Uighurs to rile them up against Beijing? To cut off belt & road? How was this ever allowed to happen against the globalist, interventionist DC consensus? A mystery of our age.

Narrative by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin.
[ColonelCassad] In light of what is happening in Afghanistan, where the Taliban have already taken control of more than 70% of the Afghan-Tajik border, mobilization has been announced in Tajikistan.
It is planned to call up to 20,000 people who will be sent to reinforce on the borders with Afghanistan. For obvious reasons, no one will take the Taliban's word that they are not going anywhere - it is better to overdo it with such figures than to miss it.
The Taliban themselves said that their troops captured the northern regions of the country due to the collapse and degradation of government forces and that they doubted that the government would ever be able to regain control of these territories. As the military and border guards who fled to the territory of Tajikistan showed, some of the local militias and local residents went over to the side of the Taliban, which actually forced the military who remained loyal to the government in Kabul to retreat to the territory of the neighboring country without any serious fighting.
In fact, we are talking about the collapse of the rear.
The government claims that they did not expect such a powerful offensive by the Taliban and the fact that many areas surrendered to the Taliban without a fight, but they assured that the army was preparing a counteroffensive in the north and that it would not allow the loss of the semi-encircled Faizabad, from which the civilian administration had already fled.
Consequently, the expected "new normalcy" when the Taliban borders on Tajikistan (as it was in the late 90s) has already taken shape. That accordingly actualizes the whole list of potential threats to Central Asia in general and Tajikistan in particular.
Therefore, reasonable security measures will be taken by Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. See the link for photos and charts
Dmitry Peshkov: Russia "keeping an eye out" for developments [TASS] Russia is concerned about the developments in Afghanistan’s border regions after the withdrawal of US troops from there, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday.
"Of course, after the Americans and their allies pull out of Afghanistan, the situation in that country is a matter of grave concern for us. We are keeping a close eye [on the situation] and note that, unfortunately, destabilization is taking place," he said.
When asked whether Russia was exploring the possibility of sending additional troops to help Tajikistan protect the border, the Kremlin spokesman noted that Russian military servicemen and border guards would monitor the situation in Afghanistan’s border regions and make appropriate decisions. "As for an additional contingent, I cannot tell you. Of course, as the situation evolves, and we see that, unfortunately, it is not evolving in the best possible way, the necessary decisions will be made by our military and border guards," he stressed.
On Monday, the press center of the Border Guard Troops of Tajikistan’s State Committee for National Security said in a statement that more than 1,000 Afghan troops had retreated to Tajikistan after battles with the Taliban (outlawed in Russia). Afghan troops had to cross the Tajik border several times over the past two weeks.
Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas earlier said that the situation in Afghanistan’s northern regions was worsening, and that triggered alarm bells within the organization. According to Zas, it is essential to provide assistance to Tajikistan in ensuring the security of the southern border. On July 1, the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly approved a statement expressing concern about the situation in Afghanistan and urged all political actors in that country to facilitate the peace process. Sheikh Ali said in a tweet, "Sayyed Moqtada al-Sadr will not die, and he will not be martyred... No, I swear by god..."
He added, "This is the fourth time that he (Al-Sadr) announces his imminent martyrdom... Moqtada al-Sadr will remain and his (electoral) list will win and he will form the government headed Jaafar al-Sadr..."

How does the House Appropriations Committee propose to deal with this?

...I've always thought that when it came time to downsize the Army, teams of retired officers and NCO should be mobilized to go to every command to do the annual weigh in. Warrant Officer techs recalled to calibrate/validate the equipment used. Those more than 5% above the limit process for early separation. That would be followed by a second review of all the records of those to be separated for any rater who stipulated that the individual met standards. That would be the second wave of separations for false official statements.

[REGNUM] At least five Bad Guys were killed in a major military operation that began in southeastern Colombia, the Colombian army's press office reported on July 5.
We are talking about members of the "Second Marketalia" group, which consists of former fighters of the rebel organization "Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia FARC or FARC-EP, is either a Marxist-Leninist revolutionary guerrilla organization or a drug cartel based in Colombia. It claims to represent the rural poor in a struggle against Colombia's wealthier classes, and opposes United States influence in Colombia, neo-imperialism, monopolization of natural resources by multinational corporations, and the usual raft of complaints. It funds itself principally through ransom kidnappings, taxation of the drug trade, extortion, shakedowns, and donations. It has lately begun calling itself Bolivarian and is greatly admired by Venezuela's President-for-Life Chavez, who seemingly fantasizes about living in the woods and kidnapping people himself. He provides FARC with safe areas along the border. " (FARC). The army attacked their camp in the village of Guayaba (municipality of San Vicente del Caguan).
For the attack, the military used ground units and aircraft. During the operation, two members of the group were also captured. Weapons and ammunition were seized from them.
As reported by IA REGNUM , in mid-May, former FARC leader Jesus Santrich was killed in Venezuela ...a country in Central America that sits on an enormous pool of oil. Formerly the most prospereous country in the region, it became infested with Commies sniffing almost unlimited wealth. It turned out the wealth wasn't unlimited, the economy collapsed under the clownish Hugo Chavez, the murder rate exceeded places like Honduras and El Salvador. A significant proportion of the populace refugeed to Colombia and points south... . The rebel's associates blamed the Colombian military for his murder.

Carli Lloyd response makes no sense as clearly some team members are looking one way, and others are looking in a different direction. So what if *some* are looking at the flag, some clearly were not.

NOT TRUE!. Some were facing a US flag visible at one part of the stadium, others were facing a US flag visible in another direction in the arena. All were respecting the US flag per the US Olympic team.

[OneIndia] A drone suspected to be made in China was used in the attack on the Indian Air Force base in Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... , the probe has revealed.
The attack is currently being investigated by the National Investigation Agency. This was a clear act of terror aimed at targeting military assets, Air Chief Marshal R K S Bhadauria said earlier, while stating that a detailed investigation into the attacks were underway.
The probe has found so far that the Lashkar-e-Tayiba was behind the attack with the help of the Pakistain agencies. An India Today report, citing a Forensic Science Laboratory report said that RDX and Nitraate was used in the improvised bomb. RDX is not available in India and hence this evidence could be used to nail Pakistain, the report also said.
Meanwhile over 300 drone sightings have been reported along the India-Pakistain border since 2019, when Article 370 was abrogated in Jammu and Kashmir. A week ago the first drone attack was reported in India, when two explosives were dropped off at an Indian Air Force base in Jammu and Kashmir.
India and Pakistain recently agreed to a ceasefire along the border. However the silence on the part of Pakistain was short-lived and now it has blamed New Delhi for the blast outside the residence of Lashkar-e-Tayiba chief, Hafiz Saeed ...founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its false-mustache offshoot Jamaat-ud-Dawa. The United Nations declared the JuD a terrorist organization in 2008 and Hafiz Saeed a terrorist as its leader. Hafiz, JuD and LeT are wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Pak intel apparatus, so that amounted to squat. He is periodically placed under house arrest so it looks like the govt is doing something. Once the heat is off they let him go.... , a charge that India has rubbished. Pakistain has upped the ante in Jammu and Kashmir ever since the abrogation of Article 370.
Intelligence Bureau officials tell OneIndia that the main agenda of Pakistain is to stall the political process and outreach by the Indian government. During a recent meeting of all the parties in J&K with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, it was decided that the delimitation exercise would begin, which would in turn would pave the way for the assembly elections. The PM also assured the parties that the restoration of statehood was in the pipeline, but the primary agenda would be to hold elections in the state.

[OneIndia] Nimisha Fathima's mother Bindu filed a petition in the Kerala High Court seeking the repatriation of her daughter who had left India and joined the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... in Afghanistan. The habeas corpus petition sought a directive to the Centre to bring Fathima and her grand-child back. They have been lodged in a jail in Afghanistan since 2019.
She further goes on to state that the failure to bring her daughter back is in violation of the moral and legal responsibility of the Indian government as well as international conventions.
Four women from Kerala had left for Afghanistan to join the Islamic State and they are Fathima, Sonia Sebastin, Merin Jacob and Rafila. The Indian agencies are however strongly opposed to their repatriation.
Why it is not a good idea to let Kerala ISIS operatives in Afghanistan return to IndiaWhy it is not a good idea to let Kerala ISIS operatives in Afghanistan return to India
While the Afghanistan government has begun the process of discussing with the above mentioned countries regarding their deportation, Indian agencies are not keen on having these persons back. For one, they are highly radicalised. Secondly their return could be a planned one in order to incite attacks in India, like was the case in La Belle France.
An Intelligence Bureau official tells OneIndia that their return could set a precedent. Many would want to leave the country join a proscribed terror outfit and then wait for the Indian government to get them back, the official also said.
Nimisha alias Fathima had left India along with a group of 21 from Kerala and joined the Islamic State in Afghanistan last year. She along with three others and surrendered in Afghanistan and now want to return.
Their return would also be classic text book of what the slain ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had said before his death. When the strength in the main land started to dwindle, he had asked the fighters to return to their country and wage lone wolf attacks.
The primary intent of leaving the country was not to continue fighting in Afghanistan or Syria. The move to the mainland was to train and then return with an intention of enhancing the modules and carrying out attacks. On their return, if they manage to get away, then they will radicalise the locals. If they are kept in jails then they would radicalise within the prison.
The IB terms such persons as silent returnees of the ISIS. This is a new challenge for us and the vigil is high, the IB officer says. There are various routes that these recruits have been using.

#BREAKING: A drone was intercepted and shot down near the U.S. embassy in Baghdad on Monday, without causing casualties, two #Iraq security sources told Reuters. The sources said the drone failed to reach the embassy compound.https://t.co/P8gKwdQJTf
American forces shot down an armed drone as it flew near the U.S. embassy in Baghdad, according to reports.
No one was hurt in the Monday incident, which took place less than 12 hours after a rocket attack was launched against Ain Al-Assad Air Base, where U.S. troops are stationed.
In the first attack, three rockets were fired on the base, said a spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve.
"The rockets landed on the base perimeter," Col. Wayne Marotto said in a statement. "There are no injuries and damage is being assessed."

The IRS has been facing what the NTA described as 'a perfect storm'.
Despite severe cuts over the last decade, the IRS had to issue a third round of economic relief payments, implement new rules affecting unemployment benefits, and new guidelines for eligibility around other tax credits.
The IRS is also now responsible for new child benefits
But the Pubs are said to be at fault, because they won't pass a bill that includes more funding for the IRS -- which apparently can only be included within bloated, budget-busting, something-for-everyone bills.
I say, the IRS (and the people) are being held hostage by the Dem-controlled Congress.

A number of civilians were maimed in the earth-shattering kaboom of a booby-trapped cycle of violence in front of one of the US occupation-backed QSD militia in al-Shadadi City in Hasaka southern countryside.
Local sources told SANA news hound that a booby-trapped cycle of violence went off before noon on Monday in front of one of the QSD positions on the main road at the center of al-Shadadi City, as a number of the militia’s members were killed and others were maimed, in addition to the injury of a number of civilians who were in the place, in addition to causing material damages.
The attacks against QSD militia have been escalated in the areas of their deployment in the Syrian al-Jazeera region with the increase in the popular anger against this militia, and its criminal practices against the locals.
Two people were maimed after an explosives-laden cycle of violence blew up outside the office of the ruling Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Shaddadi, northeast Syria (Rojava) on Monday, the PYD has said.
"As a result of the earth-shattering kaboom, two people were maimed and it also caused material loss to public property and the nearby buildings," the party said in a statement published to its website.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) also reported the incident. No one has grabbed credit for the attack.
The PYD later released another statement, condemning the attack as part of ongoing terrorist acts.
Shaddadi is located in the south of Hasaka province.

[DAILYTIMES.PK] Hackers were on Monday demanding $70 million in bitcoin in exchange for data stolen during an attack on a US IT company that has shuttered hundreds of Swedish supermarkets.Researchers believe more than 1,000 companies could have been affected by the attack on Miami-based firm Kaseya, which provides IT services to some 40,000 businesses around the world. The FBI ...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time... warned Sunday that the scale of the "ransomware" attack — a form of digital hostage-taking where hackers encrypt victims’ data and then demand money for restored access — is so large that it may be "unable to respond to each victim individually". Sweden’s Coop supermarket chain was among the most high-profile victims, with "a majority" of their 800 stores still closed three days after the hack paralysed its cash registers, front man Kevin Bell told AFP. Coop is not a direct customer of Kaseya’s, but its IT subcontractor Visma Esscom was hit by the attack. Bell stressed that the situation was looking "positive compared to a few days ago", but the few hundred stores that have reopened were relying on alternative payment solutions, such as customers paying using their smartphones.
Experts believe the attack was probably carried out by REvil, a Russian-speaking hacking group known as a prolific perpetrator of ransomware attacks. A post on Happy Blog, a site on the dark web previously associated with the group, grabbed credit for the attack and said it had infected "more than a million systems". The FBI believes that REvil, which also goes by the name Sodinokibi, was behind a ransomware attack last month on global meat-processing giant JBS, which ended up paying $11 million in bitcoin to the hackers. The blog post claiming responsibility for the Kaseya attack said the hackers would post a decryption tool online "so everyone will be able to recover from attack in less than an hour" — if they were handed $70 million in bitcoin.

...that has shuttered hundreds of Swedish supermarkets.
Why? Oh, that's right. You 'saved' so much money by doing away with clerks who knew the price of the products or stockers who put little price tags on everything for automated systems. The old system where just providing them hand calculators could keep the store open. Then again the item tracking would be lost and the automated books couldn't be run to pay taxes but require an accountant to do. However, now you are closed and in effect out of business.
Good IT practices are like a fire department. You usually don't need one but then its too late if don't have one.

"how much would it cost to have the ruskya mafya to just whack you and be done with it?"
This is something I was wondering the other day. Nothing personal, just bidness. Governments are either constrained, useless, or in on the deal. Private contractors to the rescue!
[SHAFAQ] The four men were suspected of wiring 30,000 euros in total from a money transfer agency in the southeastern Italian town of Andria to 42 collectors of funds for Death Eaters, in countries including Serbia, Germany, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... , Jordan, Thailand, and Russia.
Subsequent investigations showed the same 42 collectors had received as much as 1 million euros in suspicious transfers from other sources, said Luca Cioffi, a colonel in the Italian tax police.
The payments made by the men arrested on Monday included 5,000 euros sent to two Russians, days before an attack on a church in southern Russia that killed five women, Cioffi said.
Investigators were still trying to determine the source of the funds. "The people arrested today are unemployed and have no income, so investigations are still ongoing to identify who was giving them money to send abroad", Cioffi told Rooters.
The probe, led by anti-mafia prosecutors in regional capital Bari, started in 2017 following a tip-off from Gay Paree prosecutors over two transfers of 950 euros each from a small agency in southern Italia to a Lebanese national considered by the French to be a money collector for imported muscle in Syria.

[DailyCaller] More than 1,000 members of the Afghanistan security forces escaped to neighboring Tajikistan as the Taliban waged attacks throughout the country's northern region. [did they leave their heavy weapons? if so, the officers should be executed]
The Afghanistan soldiers; escape represented the largest retreat since the Taliban, a powerful political and military group in the Middle Eastern nation, has increased advances, Reuters reported. The retreat is just the latest setback for the nation's current government as U.S. military forces continue to withdraw from the country.
"Special attention was paid to the escalation of the situation in Afghanistan's northern areas adjacent to Tajikistan," Tajikistan's government said in a statement Sunday, according to Reuters.
At least 1,037 soldiers crossed into Tajikistan.
300 soldiers flee to Tajikistan as Taliban offensive rises in northern Afghanistan
[KhaamaPress] Officials in Tajikistan’s National Security confirmed that nearly 300 Afghan soldiers have crossed the border and fled to Tajikistan after a heavy clash between Afghan National Defense and Security Forces and the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... The officials though have not specified the exact area from where the soldiers crossed the border but said that there has been a heavy confrontation between the Taliban and Afghan cops in Badakhshan districts bordering Tajikistan.
This is the second time Afghan troops flee Afghanistan and cross the border to neighboring Tajikistan. Over 130 Afghan soldiers left Afghanistan last month and sought sanctuary in Tajikistan.
Fawad Aman, a spokesperson at the Ministry of Defence confirmed that the Baharak district of Badakhshan province was recaptured by ANDSF. The ministry claimed to have inflicted heavy casualties to Talibs during the seizure operation. The district had fallen to the Taliban the previous day.
The retreat is the third time Afghan soldiers have fled to Tajikistan over the past three days and the fifth case over the past fortnight. In total, nearly 1,600 soldiers have crossed the border.
The latest group of Afghan troops sought refuge early on Monday morning after fighting with murderous Moslems during the night, Tajikistan's National Security Committee said.
Badakhshan and Takhar provinces, which border Tajikistan, have seen a rapid Taliban ...Arabic for students... advance.
"The Taliban cut off all the roads and these people had nowhere to go but to cross the border," one senior Afghan official told Rooters on Monday.
Military officials in Kabul have talked about "tactical retreat" whenever Death Eaters made gains, but we hear from commanders in the battlefield about a lack of ammunition, and delays in sending support.
In Badakhshan province, where the government lost significant territory in recent days, local sources say many government officials "escaped" to Kabul way before Taliban attacks.
There have also been reports of more soldiers seeking refuge in Pakistain and Uzbekistan to escape the fighting.
Neighbouring countries are bracing themselves for a potential influx of refugees if the fighting continues to intensify.

As if we needed more evidence the entire, two decades old AFG effort was an exercise in futility.
There's a ton of media investment in the myth of the indomitable Afghan, if that Afghan is our enemy. I'm skeptical. First, Afghans have repeatedly been slaughtered on the battlefield. Second, $5b is a lot of equipment and ammo. And that's per year. Third, the Taliban Tet can be sustained for days, and maybe weeks.
But does anyone really think the Taliban are up the task of sustaining this for months? They are not the NVA, which also had the Soviets and the Chinese providing huge amounts of equipment and ammo. Relative to the Soviets*, the Chinese were a pimple on the rear end of the NVA resupply effort, and even they provided 1b rounds of ammo.
If the Taliban don't win in the short run - and I mean months - they have shot their wad. Pakistan's military budget is $9b. It doesn't have the wherewithal to supply the Taliban with enough money to keep this up.
* Now, the Soviet aid was technically a loan, 85% of which was forgiven under Putin. So maybe the Russians felt they could afford to shell out more money for their client states.

Bush basically declared victory and left for Iraq but all the military and media geniuses moaned about Afghanistan being the righteous war, so he reversed course.
The cell said in a statement that the Fifth Division of the Iraqi army managed to thwart an attempt to detonate a power transmission tower in al-Safra area with TNT.
A widespread power outage hit Iraq on Friday as temperatures reached scorching levels, affecting millions of Iraqis, including those in affluent areas in the capital of Baghdad, and stirring concerns of widespread unrest.
Iraq's grid was generating just over 4,000 megawatts, according to Ministry of Electricity data on Friday morning — significantly less than the 12,000-17,000 megawatts the grid generates on average. By midday, production had climbed to 8,000 MW.
The cuts have impacted Baghdad and the southern governorates in particular.
In the oil-rich southern city of Basra, which in the past has seen violent mostly peaceful protests over chronic electricity cuts and poor public services, a group of protesters burned tires to block roads during a demonstration demanding the return of electricity.
The Electricity Ministry said power transmission lines have been routinely sabotaged by unknown groups in northern Iraq in recent weeks. One 400 kilovolt line from Kirkuk to Qayara was targeted Thursday, the ministry said in a statement.
Another 132 kV line was hit in Salahhadin on the same day.
Local TV channels initially reported that the outage on Friday was due to the cutting of a major 400 kV line between Baghdad and the southern Governorate of Babel. The ministry has not confirmed the incident.
Total shutdowns can also occur when Iraq's electricity network is working at maximum capacity. Defects in the transmission network and distribution capacity also contribute to outages. High temperatures can also impact the distribution lines.
[Rudaw] At least 44 electricity pylons have been targets of terrorist attacks over the past few days, the spokesperson to Iraq’s Joint Operation Command told state media, adding that most of them have been repaired.
"There are around 44 to 45 transmission lines that have been targeted by forces of Evil in the past few days," Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji told state media on Sunday. "Most of the targeted power lines have been repaired."
Several attacks on electricity lines have been reported in the past few months, mostly in the disputed territories where ISIS has exploited a security vacuum.
One terrorist was killed by security forces in Diyala province as he was trying to blow up electricity pylons on Wednesday.
Earlier in June, the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity said that a major power line in Kirkuk governorate was out of service after an act of "sabotage" with an bomb, detonating two nearby electricity pylons.
"The Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. (ISIS) terrorist organization seeks to create panic through targeting these power lines," Khafaji said, adding that a joint operations cell between the security forces and the electricity ministry has been formed to set up strategies on how to protect those power lines, along with a joint force between the army, police, and the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF or Hashd al-Shaabi) formed to protect those towers.
In a statement released on Monday, the Ministry of Electricity announced that the transmission lines that supply power to the al-Karkh water project were targeted, indicating that ISIS attempted to cut off water supplies to nearby populations.
Earlier in June, a spokesperson from Iraq’s electricity ministry told Rudaw English that bombs have disrupted electricity lines in djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... and Diyala, affecting areas across the country, including the capital Baghdad.
The power outages caused by such attacks have exacerbated problems for civilians who are already dealing with soaring temperatures in a year of drought and water shortages
Iraq has long suffered from chronic outages and electricity shortages in a country where summer temperatures reach over 50 degrees Celsius. Such shortages have in past years been a rallying call for protesters, most notably in the summer of 2018.
25 out of 28 districts have fallen in Badakhshan province. Nasaya and Maymay districts are the latest to fall to the Taliban without a fight or resistance.
So much for the idea of peace talks. I must be sick. I feel like barfing at the wasted lives.
